The last time I had authentic Cajun food was in Louisiana 10 years ago on a birthday trip. While I was skeptical this spot did not disappoint! I had to order via Grubhub since it was later in the evening and I was tired after a full day's conference. Everything was packaged and handled nicely. Can't wait to go back! Delicious!!!

We had the crawfish ravioli, shrimp/catfish combo, redfish ponchartrain, gumbo, red beans and rice, grits, and crab cake. Everything was really good except for the grits (they were not sauced enough to hold together) and I didn’t care for the potatoes that came with the catfish/shrimp. The taste of the seasoning was off. We split these items between three people and still had food left. The portion sizes were great. The dishes were seasoned well and tasty. I would return. The shrimp, crab cake and the redfish were my favorites.

My wife and I ate dinner here two different nights last week. The baked oysters on the half shell were outstanding. One night I had the jambalaya and one night I had the crayfish etouffee. They were both delicious. It was as good as any dish I have had in Louisiana. My wife had crab cakes that were fabulous. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. I will definitely be eating here again.

This place is fantastic!!! We stopped for a very late lunch/early dinner the day we flew in. Jean/Sean was our waiter and was very attentive. We asked him for recommendations and he steered us right. We had the bbq shrimp to start with. OMG it was awesome! It would truly be a sin if you didn’t use the amazing bread to sop up the sauce and eat every last drop. Then I had the corn and crab chowder - nice with a little zip. For dinner, my husband and son big had the jambalaya. They make a fresh batch for each order and it shows. Each serving looks like a whole skillet full - enormous portions! Neither finished. I had the redfish ponchetrain. Redfish blackened with shrimp and crab served with dirty rice and a corn mixture. Yum! Again, could’ve shared a plate. All in all, great food, great service. What a fantastic place!!!

My wife and I received GREAT service provided by Steve. He was attentive and never missed a beat. As for the food, top 10 with my wife saying that these are the best charbroiled oysters she has EVER eaten - to include New Orleans. The crawfish, red fish and grits, gumbo…all delicious! Special shout out to Austin who genuinely thanked us for visiting - especially as out of town guest. We were too stuffed to enjoy dessert but we’re looking forward to the bourbon bread pudding, southern pecan pie, and beignets. Until we meet again we take with us fond memories of our first visit to this establishment. I highly recommend you check them out.

Very professional wait staff and hostess. The two steaks we had were big enough to allow us to have left overs the next day! We are two over 6 feet tall men! The steaks were wonderful and were topped with crab meat!

Nothing tastes better than Cajun when it’s been a while (a loooong while) without that memorable sweet spicy burn! The Louisiana Bistreaux menu is extensive and has all the favorite comfort foods. Sahara’s smile was welcoming, and she dealt with the various age-groups at our table with much grace. I’ve never had Shrimp & Grits in my life - but it’s now on my list of must-haves! The crawfish combo was a huge hit, as was the Cajun Jambalaya. Portions were enough for 2 meals, and re-heating was not a problem as with many take-home foods. I’m not a fan of cheesecake, but when the Gran Marnier Chocolate cake left something to be desired (being a little dried out) - the Bourbon Street Chocolate Cheesecake satisfied my sweet craving for sure! Louisiana Bistreaux has overtaken “that other” Cajun restaurant as our go-to for dinner when visiting family in Atlanta. (Sorry - was too busy enjoying the atmosphere and food to take any photos!)

Really good shrimp po boy and really strong 2 cocktails from the Greek bartender whom I told looked like the twin of the GM, gave excellent service Would return.

We may have liked this meal more then the ones we had in New Orleans. The crawtater grouper was amazing, my son loved his Orleans rib eye, and my husband devoured the redfish. We each had a different dessert and they were all wonderful as well. We cannot recommend this enough!

Manager worked great with my wife concerning dairy allergy. Staff was friendly, clean location, parking is an issue due to construction. Great food and even better dessert. Such sweet waitress.

We decided to dine here after the theater as many restaurants don't open until 5 on Sundays. We were sure glad we did, this is a new restaurant only opened a few months. It's open and bright and the food was amazing. They have and interesting wine and cocktail selection. The menu is diverse offering something for every one. The fried okra were delicious, crisp but not heavy or greasy. The crab cakes were a surprise, I grew up in Maryland with the best crab cakes and these did not disappoint. If I had a complaint it would be about our wait person. Our appetizer came out and 3 minutes later our main courses and then no service for a while. When we ordered dessert it took forever for something that should have only taken 5 minutes. Again no service and took forever to get our check..That's the reason for a 4 rating instead of a 5

My family and I had a wonderful time on Saturday. The jambalya is good and spicy. The drinks were good as well especially the Nola Martini.

I just arrived to Atlanta to my hotel right next door. I was so hungry from a long flight. It was early but dark and I didn't know where to get some good food. The lady at front desk of my hotel told me to try next door. This place is really good. I ordered Catfish with these potatoes they make. I took it back to my hotel room to eat my food and relax. The food was so GOOD. I was full and happy. The staff was VERY helpful and nice. The bartender had such a GREAT attitude and VERY nice. I recommend this place if you like good food

I usually get the maple chicken but today....I opted for the salmon topped with crawfish, switched the white rice for the jalapeño grits with green beans......holy moly!!!! The grits today are amazing!! Never had crawfish....this was superb!!

Norman was our server. He was fantastic. Definitely ask for him. We enjoyed the bread and butter. The gumbo was enjoyed nmby mybsife and I enjoyed the shrimp PO boy. The potatoes were super spicy for me anyways. And the beignets were dessert. Very good.

LOVE THE SPOT! Food was very good. the service was even better. Jerry, our waiter was the absolute best in the world. He was incredible. Yasmeen, his assistant was 10 stars also. great smile and table side manner. Drinks are good as well. Food portions are huge. the manager stopped by and spoke with us. we appreciated that. We will definitely be back.

We took the MARTA train from our hotel in Midtown to the Buckhead station, and from there it was about a 15 minute walk. There is a smallish bar in the front, and most of the rest of the restaurant is a big, open white room. We were delighted that we made the trip up there! Our server Rio was absolutely top-notch and looked after us so well--he really took an interest in us as visitors from Maine. We were seated promptly and served quickly. My redfish and grits was scrumptioujs and something you would not find easioly in Maine! My wife loved her seafood and grits dish as well. Nice to have Abita Beer from Louisiana to go with it. And there was a fantastic New Orleans0style jazz band playing, Milkshake Mayfield and the MIlkshake Quintet-=-so much energy and style! They were terrific, and the bandleader himself came over to talk to us during a break--what a treat! It was a fabulous bonus for us to have--but if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner full of whispers and soft talk...you might like it better on a night the band isn't there. We were VERY impressed and would gladly go again.

I have been wanting to check out this place for quite some time and was finally able to with a friend of mine on a Thursday evening for dinner. The restaurant is located right next to a hotel and Rooms to Go, at the corner of Piedmont and Peachtree in Buckhead. They have plenty of parking around the restaurant. We arrived around 6:30 pm and were a bit early for the rush, so several tables were available. The server immediately greeted us and we started with some crawfish etouffee (excellent) and complimentary bread. For dinner, I had the seafood platter, which was catfish, shrimp and oysters with some fries and coleslaw. It was delicious. My friend had the cajun jumbalaya, which was came with ride. It was also excellent. The portions are quite huge and we ended up taking some of it home for later. We didn't all of our dinner mainly because we wanted to try the bread pudding and the white chocolate oreo cheesecake. The bread pudding was amazing and the cheesecake was ok. Our server was so spot on and nice. The prices are what you would expect. Overall, it was a great experience with amazing food. Additionally, the manager came to the table to chat and check on everything, which I always feel is a nice touch. I didn't realize this was a chain and that they have 2 other locations in Decatur and College Park. If you like seafood, this is a great place for people of all ages.

My husband and I are visiting our son in Atlanta. My husband and son ordered crawfish and shrimp ettouffe' and I had the fried catfish. We all thought the food was delicious. Angel, our server, was friendly and efficient. Easy and free parking.

One of the best restaurants to finally open in Buckhead. The food is authentic, the staff very friendly and attentive. A must try. Our cocktails were Old Fashioned and Sazerac and then we had their Jambalaya and Crawfish Etouffee with Beignets and Praline Cheesecake to finish off perfectly.

Right before we walked in the restaurant we had a couple that grew up in Louisiana tell us how amazing the food was inside. I had all ready seen a great video on Atlanta Eats YouTube channel about this restaurant. So expectations were MAXXED! And this restaurant exceeded them! Picture included on food we ordered!

Just returned from an early dinner. Greeted friendly by the hostess with a smile. Dinner was outstanding! Recommend the oysters as an appetizer. I had the shrimp and grits and at 61 years old it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter Jeremy was excellent. Attentive (but not overly), friendly and made great recommendations. Great job Jeremy! The pecan praline cheesecake dessert was excellent. Overall a great experience and my wife and I will definitely be returning.

We went in on a Tuesday evening and there was a jazz band playing and it was wonderful! We had a few great cocktails, appetizer, dinner, and dessert and everything was wonderful! Our server was super helpful and recommended the crawfish ravioli and it was fantastic! Wish we lived closer and could come more often!

I’ve been to new Orleans at least 70 times in my life so I know good Cajun food, I want to tell you, New Orleans chefs could not cook jambalaya this epic! First time ordering from here and I used DoorDash. I had to call them to let them know how great my first experience was. Portions? I’m a big guy and I ordered a lunch size portion and could only finish half!!! Now they just need to offer real Louisiana Cornbread! EPIC FOOD!

Business dinner great selections from Classic Cajun specialties to chargrilled oysters and fresh fish specials. Excellent desserts.

Great food in a premium setting. I opted for the barbeque shrimp. It came with about 7 large shrimp in a bowl of sauce and a mini loaf of French bread, perfect for soaking up that wonderful, slightly spicy broth. Will definitely go back and try other dishes.

Welcome addition to Buckhead as the food is excellent. Fresh fish is the star along with classics fro NO. Service was good but at times a bit too casual and informal.

Others in my party of 12 may not agree, but I thought the food and the service were fantastic. Considering that it was late when we arrived and that we had such a large party, I thought that the waitress handled it graciously. I forgot her name but she did a great job given what she was up against. I had the blackened catfish and the red beans and rice. So good!

Note: I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars if I could. Louisiana Bistreaux brings the spirit of New Orleans to metro Atlanta, offering traditional Cajun and Creole dishes. There are four metro Atlanta locations: Buckhead, Decatur, East Point, and Perimeter Center. The Buckhead location is located on the floor level of the Hampton Inn & Suites Buckhead Place near the intersection of Peachtree and Piedmont Roads. It is Marta-accessible via two buses (5 and 110) and is a quick walk from the Tower Place exit of the Buckhead Station. I have visited both the Decatur and Buckhead locations. When it first opened, I used to visit the Buckhead location to enjoy Sunday football in its cozy bar area. Regardless of the location, I have always enjoyed great customer service. The Buckhead location now offers weekend brunch, and the lunch menu is available on Saturdays. There is a weekday BOGO lunch special between 11a-2p. On Tuesday evenings, the eatery showcases live jazz featuring Milkshake Mayfield and the Milkshake Quintet. I recommend their Bistreaux Oysters (chargrilled) and Jumbo Grilled Shrimp. They also have a respectable Seafood and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. To me, Louisiana Bistreaux is reminiscent of Cheesecake Factory, a consistent restaurant serving solid food. Louisiana Bistreaux’s cocktails trend on the strong side. I haven’t been to the Decatur location in a while, but I remember preferring their beverage lineup.

Very well seasoned catfish. Just the right portion. Very tasty. Service was attentive. First impression on walk in was a little bit of chaos with greeters battering with each other. This seems to be an Atlanta thing given I often feel like I'm interrupting the workers from the friendly interaction with each other.

I went with a few of my friends and the scenery was nice in Buckhead. Although I am allergic to shellfish, I was able to order me a steak. The blackened steak and dirty rice is the bomb. I will definitely be returning to this one or the other locations.

We were thrilled to have Louisana Bistreaux reopened after the COVID-19 nightmare. Louisiana Bistreaux is located next to the Hampton Inn and Suites and offers plenty of free parking. They were serving a limited menu but we were able to find great food choices. The coconut shrimp wasn't available so we had cups of seafood gumbo. My sons had the fried shrimp, my wife had a wedge salad with chicken and I had the crawfish etouffee. Everything was wonderful. I offered to take my wife to Atlanta Fish Market at 3X the price but she insisted on going to Louisiana Bistreaux.

We were warmly greeted and promptly seated upon arrival (we had a reservation). The interior of this location is "upscale" compared to the Decatur location. Our server was very friendly as well. For starters we ordered a cup of Corn and Crab Chowder and Gumbo. My hubby enjoyed his chowder, which had plenty of crab. I had the Gumbo - the flavor was good but seemed to have an oily texture to it. And it could have used a touch more rice. Entrees: Crawfish Etouffee and Eggplant Atchafalaya. The etouffee had plenty of crawfish and had a "kick" of heat. Not overpowering, but definitely a kick. The eggplant dish was OUTSTANDING! Half an eggplant was seasoned and fried with a crisp coating and smothered in crabmeat, crawfish, and shrimp in an etouffee sauce. I ordered a side of white rice with it. I would definitely recommend this dish and order it again in a heartbeat! My only complaint would be the small booths. The legroom was a bit snug underneath with the post that holds the tabletop. We plan to return soon!

I had hopes this would be good and I wasn't disappointed. I had the redfish with shrimp etouffe. Delicious. My friends said the gumbo was really good as well. I did think that the dishes were a little salty but not enough to deter me. Unfortunate that they can't get real Louisiana bread here but that's not their fault. Service was a little slow for lunch but they are just recently opened and they'll find their groove. Will definitely go back.

As someone who visits New Orleans a few times per year, I agree with all the great reviews Louisiana Bistreaux is getting. For a long time I have believed Atlanta lacked a great Cajun restaurant - until now. I had the Redfish Ponchartrain and it was excellent. The food could not have been better, the service was also excellent - Tamia did a great job. I really liked the fact we could sit outside. My family has found a new spot to go to on a regular basis.

Was in Atlanta for a few days with my father and this was probably the best place we ate on the whole trip. Felt like some southern food but it was a delicious place to eat at. Had alligator bites with a cup of gumbo soup for appetizer and then we split meals. We had jumbalaya and had the ribeye steak smothered with crabmeat and stuff. Steak was seasoned great and had excellent flavor. I’d def go back for the steak and it was a great junbalaya as well. And then we split a big chocolate bourbon cake. Service was great. Food was great. Definitely a place i miss and wanna go back.

We arrived after three p.m. and ate from the dinner menu. There wasn't a wait due to the time. I ordered the Cajun Mango Margarita and it was the right amount of spicy and it was also very pretty. The gator bites were tender and the sauce was quite tasty. My entree, the Crawfish Ravioli was also very flavorful. We got the Bourbon Street Cheesecake to go. Yummy! Our server was fantastic.

The service was very good and the steak was made fresh to order! The staff was very attentive and kept checking on me. No issues here highly recommend especially since you can walk next door from the Hampton inn! The dessert menu was stacked with goodies. The carrot cake was enough for two but a definite must try!

I stopped here with my uncle on the way to the airport. This restaurant is larger than it looks from the outside with several dining areas. The blackened redfish caught my eye since it's been a long time since I've had redfish. It was cooked perfectly and served on dirty rice with sauces. I saw some other menu items that I would like to give a try. Blackened grouper sounds like it might hit the spot. I'll definitely keep it in mind the next time I'm in Atlanta.

This restaurant is an excellent addition to Buckhead. Louisiana Bistreaux is located next to the Hampton Inn and Suites. There's plenty of free parking which is a massive plus in this area. We tried several items, and we were very impressed with everything. The coconut shrimp and crab cake were superb appetizers. The seafood gumbo was so tasty that next time, I will order the bowl. My son had the fried shrimp, and I tried one, and it was perfectly cooked. The shrimp etouffee was also very well done. Our table splurged and ordered the beignets and an incredibly delicious slice of white chocolate Oreo cheesecake. JC was our server, and he was a fountain of useful information about the Atlanta area. Louisiana Bistreaux has become our new go-to seafood restaurant when we are in the area.

My first visit to Louisiana Bistreaux was on Sunday, Jan 4. I came with a Road Scholar group. As such, we dined in a separate room along with a prepared menu. Chef salad wasn't an option, and I didn't care for salad. But I had a choice of sauce to go with it. I picked blue cheese, which was so good that it became my official salad sauce going forward. For entree, I chose blackened salmon and Orleans shrimp with (white) rice and corn maque choux. The salmon fillets were prepared well done. Its mild toughness was noted as well as the strong taste of being grilled. The shrimps were alright, and the corn kernels were mildly spicy but tasty. Dessert was bread pudding (no choice on that one). I didn’t care for it, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Overall, I had a great impression of Louisiana Bistreaux and decided to return for Tuesday dinner. I was later informed that a live jazz band performs every Tuesday. This would be a good opportunity to find out. On Tuesday, Jan 6, I showed up and was led to a table in the main dining area where the band was getting ready to perform. As I was the only customer in this area, I was allowed to choose where I wanted to sit. I chose the table at furthest corner to the left of the band. The other customers were at the bar counter and in another dining area, both areas behind the main dining area. I wanted a fish entree and was deciding between the three redfishes: Louisianne, Ponchartrain or plain blackened. My waiter Shaniya recommended the Ponchartrain. It was delightful, the right level of tender with its flavor complimented well with the etouffee sauce. The last time I had redfish this good was at Pappadeaux in Austin, TX over 10 years ago. The shrimps, corn maque choux (same one that came with the blackened salmon from Sunday night) and dirty rice all went well together in flavor and texture. I enjoyed the live jazz performance. It wasn't obnoxious or overwhelming loud like Applebee's. That Shaniya and I could hear each other demonstrated respect of the restaurant for the dine-in customers. My compliments to the band leader, who came to my table to make sure I was having a good time. I affirmed so. Shaniya too came by a few times to check on me. I also appreciated being allowed to stay and listen to the band after finishing my dinner, with Shaniya filling up my water glass. After the band went on break - almost an hour later - I left her a generous tip in cash. In my experience, it is very difficult for any restaurant to excel in food, service and atmosphere. Louisiana Bistreaux hit all that out of the park. If you don't care for live music performance, come on any other day but Tuesday. I highly recommend this place, and will return if I ever visit this part of Atlanta.

We started our meal off with coconut shrimp. These were fine but nothing special. What was special was the Eggplant Atchafalaya. It was fabulous and the star of our experience next to our amazing server, Jeanae (or maybe Jhene). The 1/2 eggplant was lightly breaded and filled with wonderful seafood. My friend liked it so much she joked about going back the next day! We also had the lamb chops, which were perfectly prepared and finished dinner off with carrot cake which was also very good. Special thanks to our wonderful server! She was amazing! The atmosphere was nice but nothing noteworthy. It wasn’t too loud so we were able to talk throughout dinner. We are looking forward to visiting the Decatur location on a Tuesday for Fat Tuesday night when they have live jazz!

My wife and I tried this restaurant last night for the first time. It was very good! The Gumbo and the Grouper Orleans are excellent choices! The Jambalaya is also good but it is spicy. But the star of the show is the Bread Pudding (it does have nuts in it though for those allergic to them.) Overall it was an awesome experience and we will be back!

My brother Tim celebtated his 30th job anniversary at this restaurant.. It was amazing. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was outstanding. The service was professonal. Our server, Cameron was was very proficient and very nice. We will definitely eat at the Virginia Avenue location again soon.

Called in a to-go order of lamb chops and red beans and rice. The lamb chops were so good, and they came with some jalapeno grits. Both were absolutely delicious. Wasn't a fan of the red beans and rice though. I ended up not eating it, but the lamb chops and grits were really good.

My husband is from Louisiana so we had very high hopes that the food would be authentic. We are happy to say, it definitley is. We absolutely loved our first visit to Louisiana Bistreaux. We had a great server, the ambiance is very nice and the food was amazing. We live in close proximity to this restaurant, so we plan to be back many times.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! It is right next to the Hampton Inn and Suites in Buckhead. The food was outstanding if a little too spicy. You can tell them to make to your spice preference when you order. The beignets were amazing and the service was great. If you go try and get Virgil as your server. He knows everything about Atlanta and helped us plan our weekend all while being friendly and attentive.

I would give this restaurant zero stars, if allowed. My family and I visited this restaurant while staying in Atlanta for a mini-vacay. We were seated rather quickly. Waitress after waitress walked by our table without stopping to even take a drink order. As I looked around the restaurant I saw others, even a party of 10 seated and orders were taken immediately. We waited another five minutes and decided to walk out. I’m not sure if it was because I was the only white person in the restaurant with my black husband and biracial child but it was very unprofessional of this establishment. All money spends the same and I always insist on tipping more than 20%, so for all the waitresses that refused to wait on us you missed out on a $30-$50 tip! Bad move on your part!

My husband and I were dying to go to this place. We went and I felt like i touch the sky!!! It's so delicious, beyond delicious! Service, Food, Drinks, the staff lovely, by our surprised the owner Mr. Fred, took his time to stop by and greeting us, that was very nice! I can't wait to go back.

The food was mediocre, and the music was so loud that it was impossible to hear anything else. Awful.
Authentic Cajun
Great spot for lunch. Blackened redfish was spicier than normal, however the crab/schrimp topping cooled it all done. Healthy portions make it a great value for the money
