Great Experience

By Talkdty |

Perfect dinner option for a couples' getaway night out. This is a very professional team,,,,, from the grill to the bill - met the owner/Chef Garvin and he truly wants his patrons to enjoy his offering and it shows from all directions. We'll be back for another elite experience during our next ATL trip. Continued success chef!!

Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere

By Angela D |

I recently dined at a LowCountry Steaks that left me thoroughly disappointed. The experience was nothing short of a letdown, and I won't be returning anytime soon. To make matters worse, the poor management was evident throughout my visit. It's clear that the issues extend beyond just the staff. My dining party and I agreed that this restaurant is not worth recommending. The combination of subpar customer service, communication breakdowns, and ineffective management created an overall unpleasant experience. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a dining option.

LowCountry Steak: Worth Crossing State Lines

By FarAway18091309488 |

After driving down from Knoxville for a birthday weekend, my bride and I were blessed to discover LowCountry Steak conveniently located across from our hotel. Arriving just before 9 PM, we were warmly greeted and immediatly seated for an evening of exceptional dining that made the trip remarkable. The restaurant presents a fine dining excellence with its sophisticated ambiance—dim lighting and elegant china settings create the perfect backdrop for special occasions. The a la carte menu features generously sized, shareable portions that encourage a communal dining experience. Our server Neosha deserves the highest of praise. Their exceptional knowledge of the menu and perfectly balanced attentiveness enhanced our experience. Following Neosha's recommendation, we ordered the cornbread—a decision I cannot recommend highly enough. The bread arrived first, and it took a large amount of self-control to not eat the whole serving before our main courses arrived. For our entrée, we shared a ribeye steak cooked medium-well. The meat was seasoned to perfection, demonstrating the kitchen's expertise and mastery of flavor. We complemented our steak with sautéed garlic shrimp served alongside a delicious slice of sourdough cheese toast. The whipped garlic potatoes complimented our meal beautifully, providing the creamy counterpoint to the flavors of the steak and shrimp. LowCountry Steak delivers a memorable dining experience that combines thoughtfully prepared food, attentive service, and an elegant atmosphere. Whatever you do, do not miss out on the cornbread.

Worth checking out while visiting Atlanta

My primary visit for my dining, in addition to food review was because I’m a fan of G Garvin. I like any time I see him in a food network show. I wanted to taste his take on Shrimp and Grits. I also had a bonus appetizer of calamari. I was amazed by the presentation of shrimp and grits. Presentation alone for this dish was probably the best I’ve seen. It had shaved cheese (unsure if it was Parmigiano reggiano) and micro greens. Shrimp was tad bit overcooked, the entire dish was bit too salty, and some micro greens didn’t go well in my opinion. I believe there were some cilantro micro greens. I’m not found of cilantro, so I didn’t feel it went well with the dish. Hence the rating of 4. I still have high admiration for G and will be back. Other G fans should visit.

Worst Experience Ever!

Worst Experience Ever! I was with a Party of 20, for a 60th birthday party and the food overall was shockingly disappointing! The creamed corn was subpar and tasted just like can creamed corn, but with added regular corn! The mashed potatoes were no better! 3 of the filet mignons had to be returned due to inconsistent cooking! The well done steak was med rare, the med well was med and also well done ( No! I can't make this stuff up!) When replaced they put the steaks back on the grill and had the audacity to bring one well done, black, crispy! Service you ask? Ok, Noone returned to ask us for refills! In-between courses took 45 mins- hour!!! The manager, Nicole had a coldness about her and we felt like we bothered her. ( She returned with the burnt steak and didn't blink!) We all had high expectations, but ended with many of us still being hungry! Three meals together came to almost 400 and we were still hungry!? ( The ambiance and musical selections get a 10!)

OUTSTANDING!!!

We’ve been wanting to try LowCountry Steak since it opened and wish we had sooner! First of all the service was perfect. The whole team was super friendly. We had the calamari and deviled eggs for apps. The calamari was awesome, but the deviled eggs were truly next level!!! I had the seafood bouillabaisse and literally could have drank the sauce. LOL! My wife’s Chilean sea bass was like butter. Our friend both had the special which was a bone in ribeye topped with more goodness than I can even recall. We will 100% be back and will be sending other people!

Needs improvement

By Ava H |

I expected more- need improvement . Also, there is a restaurant in the airport. It really needs more improvement. They ran out of Mac & cheese, blk eye peas were cold. My only choices was carrots and wings- no bread.

EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE

By MissTee22 |

The food was amazing. Everything was perfectly seasoned. That was a plus for me because I am not a fan of bland food. You won't be disappointed. A must try.

Finally, a Classy Midtown Gem!

By Eric S |

**Finally, a Classy Midtown Gem!** We were absolutely blown away by this midtown steakhouse — impeccable service, exquisite food, and a wonderfully inviting atmosphere. The 12 oz filet was so good it made my son and I stop mid-conversation just to savor every bite — tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The roasted chicken was just as impressive, falling off the bone and full of rich, savory taste. Though we missed the Brussels sprouts this time, the moist cornbread and decadent creamed corn more than made up for it — true show-stoppers! Service was professional, warm, and attentive without being overbearing. The music — a perfect blend of smooth jazz and '80s–'90s R&B — added a classy backdrop without overpowering our conversation. A wonderful experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back… again!

Very nice Father's Day dinner...

Very good experience! We were warmly greeted by the hostess and promptly seated for our reservation. The menu is not extensive but has a good variety for all palates. We started with the skillet cornbread (which is to die for and highly recommended!) and the wonton ravioli, which was tasty as well. For entrees, we had shrimp and grits and one of the specials for the day - a 14oz ribeye, "Oscar" style, with mac n cheese. We shared a peach cobbler for dessert and it was plenty for 2 people. Service was wonderful and courses were served in a timely manner with a smile! Pros: 2 hours of validated parking if you park in the garage, which is off of W. Peachtree (the restaurant faces 10th St); Great service and good food. Cons: the air conditioning was on "blast" due to the hot weather - bring something to cover your arms!; the portion size for the shrimp and grits was a bit small. I didn't leave hungry but grits aren't expensive and there were only 5 shrimp in the dish. The portion looked like it should have been on a "small plates" menu...
