Nice place, good service, terrible food

By Osmary C |

The sever Alexis was excellent, the chicken parm was one of the worst chicken parm dishes I’ve ever had. Thick and soggy piece of chicken laddered in a mediocre sauce. That said, I was starving and craving chicken parm and it did the trick, but make no mistake this is a mall fast food version of a chicken parm. skip this place.

Tried a new restaurant.

By Jeff S |

Michael P was our server and he was excellent. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. We won’t go back. Meatballs were very good and the best part of the meal.

MOR Italian in the MGM

By ScottD58 |

So many choices in Las Vegas but not all are convenient. If you’re in the MGM and you’re okay with Middle Of the Road Italian, then Luchini is a solid choice. Maybe not World Class but not blow your budget prices either.

Just what we were looking for

By Tracy Dundee |

Loved our experience here. Service was excellent and the drinks were delicious . They give some complimentary bread sticks and dip . The focaccia was delicious and pasta dishes were also good. Not huge portions but this suited us as we didn’t want a mountain of food. Would certainly revisit. Good luck to this new restaurant

Great pizza options

By Khoi N |

Great take out pizza options located right in MGM. Prices aren’t too bad around $10. They have by the slice or full pie options. Definitely recommend the fungi or the pepperonis. Fresh pies don’t take too long with the kitchen in the back. They have a small dining area as well.

Excellent. Not your average Italian!

By Katw |

Great food, great service. Waiter made great recommendations. Shout out to Michael. Went back next day for another dinner. The lasagna is excellent. More than enough for 2.

Ok..but just that

Had a meal here before a sow at MGM Meal was ok, but if you look at the prices they charge they prices they charge don't balance the quality.

# At MGM Hotel in Las Vegas 🇮🇹🇺🇸

By Sam_foodsavor |

The Italian-American restaurant is divided into three parts! ✨ The front features a Take Away Pizza shop 💁‍♀️ selling New York-style slices 🍕. The back is a dining area 🍽️ with a cocktail lounge inspired by movies 🍸, all designed with a nostalgic, retro vibe 🔱. ## 🍽️ Food Highlights The menu includes handmade pasta and pizza 🍝🍕. The **Cavatelli Bolognese** is chewy and satisfying ✨, while the dumplings are large and full of flavor 🥟. The rich tomato sauce 🍅 perfectly complements the dishes. The pizza boasts a crispy crust 🫓, generous buffalo cheese 🧀, and a rich taste 🍕. Don't miss the **New York cheesecake** 🍰, which is firm but sadly overpowered by the strawberry sauce 🥹—great for strawberry lovers! 🍓 Overall, the restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere with delicious food, perfect for a delightful dining experience in Las Vegas!

Perfect meal at Luchini's Italian Restaurant

By Susan H |

Our waiter was excellent and helpful in answering our questions. I ordered the scallop appetizer for an entree. The 3 good sized scallops were done perfectly and sat on delicious risotto with a perfect red pepper accompaniment. My husband had Malfadine (a new to us ruffled ribbon pasta) and shrimp. He was also impressed with this dish. We both had room for cheesecake for me and pistachio Gelato for him. It was a perfect meal!

Italian done right

By Genevieve R |

We appreciated that our table was ready at our requested reservation time. Our server was helpful in suggesting items and offering a custom order for one in our party. Food was delicious and extremely fresh-what a difference from what we're accustomed to in the area we live in. This experience was truly fine dining.

For a well-deserved break

By Val |

Very nice establishment in the heart of the MGM, pleasant staff, tasty dishes. The bill is high but because of the consumption, it is a luxury wine in Las vegas

LUCHINI

By MICHELE310C |

My friend treated me to a quick bite to go & Luchini definitely did not disappoint! The pizza is really fantastic! I highly recommend!

Great appetizer, followed by inedible main course

By Wan DeRover |

The appetizer was delicious, however the main course pasta was tasteless, like something out of a can - to the point of being inedible. Service was friendly.

Culinary tip in Las Vegas!

By claudiaa457 |

One of the Unpacked in Las Vegas - here the service and quality is right. Be sure to reserve and ask for a quiet table.

Pasta

By LostInTime |

I went here for dinner. It’s nice inside and the server was super nice. The meatballs were very good. My pasta was also very good but be aware that the portions are very small.

Avoid Luchinis if you’re looking for good pizza

By Bob M |

The pizza at Luchinis is crap. Save your money. Luchini is so stingy on the sauce, you’re basically just eating crust. It’s too bad that MGM can’t get a decent pizza place, that actually serves a quality pizza with good sauce and toppings.

Good food but …

By major t |

Food was delicious, filet mignon was tender and flavorful, spinach was so good, short rib lasagna was delicious! Regular garlic Bread is not available. No salt and pepper, had to ask for pepper for salad. Music not so good, too loud, not appropriate for Italian restaurant, don’t arrive before 5 because they won’t seat you until 5, not even in the bar/lounge, even if you have a reservation.

Great Italian food, best dessert ever

By Lise W |

Enjoyed our second visit to Luchini in the MGM Grand. The pastas and meats are delicious, the fish is fresh and cooked perfectly, the portions generous. We tried a few different entrees, including two designed to serve 3-4 people. The large format presentations are impressive. Which makes it difficult to save room for dessert, but you must, because multiple members of our party agreed the Nivola di Fantasia is THE best dessert we’ve ever tasted!

Would recommend

By Sergio1954 |

It was our first time here. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. It was fairly early - so no issue there. The bar looked like a nice place to have drinks, but you can also eat at high tables there --- even though it would be crowded. We had the bread basket which came with olive oil and butter. Bread was nothing special, but OK. Our server was very good and was there when we needed him. My husband had the chicken parmesan with a side of pasta (which is extra??) he said the dish was good and the portion size was generous. I had the short rib lasagna - which was very good. Baked and plenty of flavor. I would recommend having it. Overall, I would come back if I were at the MGM Grand and would recommend to friends.

Just eh for this meal

By jacklyn25 |

Honestly a bit disappointed in our meal. Atmosphere and service were excellent! Chicken Parm $37 and side of pasta is not included but a la carte at $15. Sauce on pasta was spicy. I'm a true Italian and do not eat my sauce or make it that spicy. Why not let customers add pepper flakes ? Chicken portion very large though. Polpette (meatball) appetizer was excellent. Wish sauce wasn't so spicy.

Indiakutable table assignment!!!

By matthias w |

Despite Reservation we stood 30 minutes before the restaurant and were not called. Only after we complained twice were we content to assign a table. We thought the restaurant was full but far from it! Inside were 4 pieces of 4 tables free! We were treated badly here because we were German?

Nice way to celebrate a birthday!

By dchaka |

Nice evening out with friends service was a little slow as our waiter was given 5 tables all at the same time as soon as he arrived for his shift. Penne was very good friend got lasagna roll ups with a lamb Ragu which was absolutely fantastic

Must try!

By Willamina R |

Great spot if in town for a convention guest and not hard on the pockets. Amazing service out waiter was phenomenal took care of us all and suggestion amazing items off the menu! Looking forward to dining again in the fall! Highly recommend! Try the pizza shop!

Excellent food and friendly service

By C H |

Enjoyed a very delicious meal after a late show nearby. We ordered simple pasta dishes like the rigatonni al pesto and the cavatelli bolognese and both were very good. The server was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended!!

Great Italian in the MGM Grand

By Ron R |

Awesome Italian food in the MGM Grand. Best focaccia ever! Awesome cauliflower au gratin and variety of pastas. Try the flight of spritzers!

Good Italian restaurant

By Elise P |

Good Italian restaurant, which has the advantage of being one of the restaurants of the MGM Grand (except food court) open after 9:30 PM.

Very Good

By mwoodgate |

Had dinner after a show. Focaccia starter was very good, plus a spaghetti dish and pesto rigatoni with chicken. Not bad at all, quick and friendly service nice stop on way back to MGM signature.

Okay for Italian food

By Sally J |

It was an okay trip however it was extremely expensive and they did not acknowledge we were celebrating they simply said congrats and that was it. A bit underwhelming

Italian Food and Service Excellent Inside the MGM Grand

By Michele C |

Located in The District section of the MGM Grand. The atmosphere is dark/not lit up. The food is terrific - one of the best Caesar Salads every. Recommend Salmon ala Puttan, Chicken Parmigiana, and Chicken Marsala. Our service waiter was outstanding serving a table of 6. Recommend making a reservation so no wait time. The bar is long with small tables where you can have a beverage/dine/people watch. Highly recommend.

VERY TASTY

By paulenich |

Came here we were starved. I had Sicilian pepperoni pizza. My wife had Margaretta. We sat down in the restaurant and had a terrific time.

Disappointed

By Joie S |

Very disappointed. We waited a long time for our food (pasta, pizza, steak ) and the food was cold with the exception of the steak. Im not picky about piping hot- it was cold. I gave it two stars instead of none bc the manager came out when the restaurant was closed during the day to change our reservation for six people to two hours earlier. The ten layer chocolate cake was delicious

Rip-off! Do not eat here!!

By c b |

If I could give it a minus star rating I would have. A total rip off. Do not eat here!!! Very expensive and the portions are small. Everything ala carte. Did not even get bread with our dinner. Absolutely horrendous for the money it costs.

Luchini at MGM Grand

By Lyn B |

Newest restaurant on the MGM property. Very nice ambience, good food. The staff was friendly and efficient. We made a reservation with the concierge at the front desk for the same evening. Definitely recommend!

Disappointing Experience

By Stuart F |

This was a very disappointing experience, particularly for the price of the dinner. The atmosphere and ambiance are nice although the music was a bit too loud and didn’t feel quite right for an Italian restaurant. The staff were lovely and there is a reasonable selection of options on the menu, however the food, when it came, was very poor quality. I had the chicken parmesan which was close to shoe leather with a quarter inch slab of parmesan cheese on top. My wife had the crispy brick chicken which was unseasoned fried chicken in a pool of creamy fat spread which was supposed to be chili butter. We were also surprised to learn that everything was a la carte including bread, again especially given the prices. (I can’t think that I’ve ever been to an Italian restaurant where a basket of bread didn’t just appear on the table with the water). We ordered the crispy broccoli to share which came with our recommended intake of sodium for a month. We sent it back and received a new one without salt just as we were abandoning our main dishes. The second plate of broccoli turned out to be the highlight of the meal. We considered dessert and coffee, but they didn’t have any of the decaf options listed on the menu, so we just called it a night. In short, if you really don’t care about the quality of the food or the price you pay for it, this is the place for you.

Family dinner

By jean552 |

I usually don’t give a negative review but this restaurant is overpriced, low quality food and service. I never had chicken Parmesan served to me without pasta included. The ravioli was frozen and you could still see the perforation lines. My family was very disappointed. The room is clean with nice decor!

Poor Service

By blburton |

We walked in at 5:15pm and were seated promptly. Sat at the table for 20 minutes before anyone offered water. After being at the table for approximately 50 minutes, both our table and the table next to us decided to leave as we hadn’t even been greeted by a server. Spoke to the manager, who didn’t seem to care at all. Overall a terrible experience and we wouldn’t recommend at all.

Excellent Experience

By Linda |

We ate in the Bar. Our food was very good. Service was great. I had the Eggplant Parmesan- very yummy. The Caesar salad was excellent. Drinks were even better. If you like Manhattans, this is the place. The Spritz Flight was very refreshing and loved trying the different flavors.

Not good at all

By solitaire |

Really really bad food. Staff is rude and unresponsive. They do not serve any bread? The tables are very small and makes it hard to have multiple dishes on table. Only good thing was the chocolate cake which was huge

Disappointed

By Nick C |

Well, the food was good. We ordered several pasta dishes, none of which included noodles. I would have liked to have been informed ahead of time so I could order a side of noodles. However, I didn't get this information until I got home with my takeout.

Meh. Too expensive for what you get.

By Howiemetz |

Nothing exciting. Chicken parmigiana was blah. Spaghetti with shrimp over $50. If it tasted fantastic ok but it wasn’t.

Disappointment - average food

By Sandy S |

Food was average which is a disappointment considering the price. Pasta is not included in any entree order and must be ordered separately. An example, chicken parmesan was $34 and pasta was $8-15 for a small portion. Bread must be ordered separately also. Two grandchildren ordered Shirley Temples and they were served with no cherries. The recipe calls for cherries. We were told that the cherries are only for alcoholic drinks since they are soaked in alcohol. Even the restaurant right across from Luchini's, Nellie's Southern Kitchen (which has exceptional food) served Shirley Temples with cherries. For goodness sakes go purchase a few jars of cherries so young children will not be disappointed. Poor excuse from manager for not including cherries in the drinks. Previously, we had purchased pizza at their small take-out location - much too spicy and cold!

For difficult French...

By Anne Marie C |

Finally a restaurant where we ate properly for 12 days! That we are in the USA! Linguines with excellent clams! Sauvignon wine from Napa Valley great after a refreshment... ice cream finally serves a real vanilla ice cream! Too bad my Service is messy: good not fresh! Two boys who want to serve us! One too many!

A good meal, especially the salmon

By Peter D |

We were staying at the The Signature at MGM, and tried Luchini for dinner as we were keen on having some Italian style food. This place was busy every time we walked past, so made a reservation which turned out to be a good decision, as they were full. Our meals were good, in particular the salmon oreganata which my wife had. The salmon was cooked perfectly, which is not so easy to achieve. Usually we have found that many restaurants tend to overcook it. I had the jumbo shrimp parmigiana, which was very tasty, not bad at all. It helped that I asked for some chilli, which added more flavour. Sides were crispy broccoli and roasted potatoes. These were ok, nothing really special. Service was fast and very efficient. We would have liked a bit more time to relax over dinner, but it seems to be common these days to rush customers in order to achieve another sitting. Anyway our meals overall were pretty good, so a tick for Luchini.

Stingy bread basket service could be better

By Laura |

Food was excellent as far as entrees go especially chicken parm. It was confusing that there were 3 different people serving us doing different things so took a bit of time to finally get someone to place the order. Don't bother to order bread basket..they charged $8 for 5 half slices toasted..awful and not enough to go around. Not to mention bringing out full size plates to eat the tiny piece of bread...then cleared those plates and utensils...can you spare the bread and save the large plates. Unnecessary production for the crumbs they served.

Many Photos Added. Excellent Service. Food OK

By NitroDog |

Located at the MGM Grand. My wife and I showed up without reservations and were seated within 5 minutes. Bread rings with dipping sauce and drinks came out immediately. Yummy. We decided to share the Fritto Misto with calamari, shrimp and zucchini. It was extremely oily. It came with three large shrimp. My stomach could take four bites. I can not take that much oil. We also shared the Del Pizzaiolo stracciatella with mushrooms, sausage, truffle, arugula and parmesan. It was large and tasty. Very similar food can be found at Wolfgang Pucks at MGM Grand, and I prefer that. The service was excellent. This is a beautiful restaurant and perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes.

Tasty

By nasalfilters |

Had tortellini was the best I had. Flavor was unmatched. Girlfriends rotini pasta was very good. Very happy with meal. Don't be shocked pricy but Flavor makes up for it. Thank you

Super disappointing, very slow service.

By Alex R |

Pretty disappointed. Here for a conference and work was covering the meal otherwise. Our table want ready until 30 min after our reservation. No one took outlr order for another 20 minutes and they didn't take drink order when they took food orders. They came back a while later. Ended up getting drinks over an hour after we sat down. I ordered som GF "linguine" with clams. The clams were the most overcooked chewy clams I have ever had. The pasta was also overcooked and has only a tiny bit of butter on it. Wasn't able to get a second drink because service was so slow. I'm guessing they must have been short staffed because the place wasn't busy. The AC was also cranked way up so we were all shivering. On the plus side the servers were nice, the appetizers were good and the drinks were strong and tasty. Very disappointing experience, especially considering the price.

Worst meal of the week

By dynaman |

Last night in Vegas for NFR. This was a nice looking Italian restaurant in the MGM District. Service was good, but was disappointed in clarity of menu. Pricing for some sides were not on menu and prices varied depending which waiter you talked to. Not much but just different pricing. If you order the Chicken Marsala, it is huge so no sides needed. Tagliatelle Carb was not the correct pasta and was delivered not hot. Calamari was excellent . After 7 days of eating out we agreed this was the worst meal we had all week. Will not go back here as there are many other choices.

Good Italian Food

By Susan K |

My husband and I stopped here for dinner around 6 p.m. and was able to get a table without a reservation. We ordered the meatball appetizer, chicken parmigiana and a piece of NY cheesecake to take back to the room. The portions were large and we could not finish it. Service was excellent and the food tasted great.

Fantastic food but the experience is destroyed by loud music

By Jerzy G |

We visited Luchini 4 times in August. Food and service was fantastic. We would like to suggest ya change in music loudness policy. In our opinion the level of music at Luchini is way too high. We could hardly talk without raising voice and straining our ears. We also had difficulty communicating with servers. Loud music is very disturbing for us and for sure for many other people. Quiet music creates nice and cosy atmosphere and most probably won't molest anybody. Loud music destroys the experience at Luchini. Except for this issue I do recommend it as a very nice venue for dinner.

*STAY AWAY!/RIP OFF

By Voyager21698577320 |

*STAY AWAY!/RIP OFF. I'm a Las Vegas local that wanted a nice dinner before a show. Ambience was flat and boring. Ordered two drinks. My beer came in a basic bottle and the cocktail was child size. Not a good start. Ordered only one main course (no appetizers), the Chicken Marsala. About 1/2 a chicken was served. That was it, no sides at all. And the chicken alone was $37! Seriously!!?? Had to order a side of risotto, which was an additional $17. After leaving a tip, my bill came out to $110! Are you kidding me!!!?? Two drinks, one main course and one side for $110; this is why locals and tourists alike are turning away from establishments like this. I will never take my money to this property again. Keep in mind, you still need to pay an additional $25 for parking! This is absurd and why Vegas numbers are down and continue to fall. Not worth it whatsoever! Such a ripoff, MGM should be embarrassed by this act of robbery.
