This was our first time here and it was really a very nice surprise. The restaurant is beautiful!!! Loved the ambiance!!! And the food…. OMG!!!! It was incredible!!!! Everything we had was delicious and the service impecable!!!! Loved it!!!!

Ramon was such a fantastic manager and waiter, he was so attentive and accommodating during our entire time there. We were celebrating my birthday and he truly made it special, we’ll be definitely be back and hope to be served by Ramon again!

Amazing food and outstanding service! Deanna, Andrew and Juan made our evening remarkable. The service was impeccable. The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. The decor and ambience added to the amazing time we had. As we arrived, the table was already set with a plate of olives and Parmesan accompanied by breadsticks. The presentation of the food is wonderful. Everybody enjoyed their entrée and the dessert was so delicious! I look forward to another trip to the restaurant.

Alfonso was super attentive and helpful. The vibe feels like you’re in Italy. The restaurant is so pretty and the food is amazing. I love the cheese, tomato, and olives they start the table off with… the carbonara was amazing, rich and pasta cooked perfectly al dente. We were celebrating and they brought amazing free dessert. 10/10 will be back.

Amazing atmosphere, decoration impeccable very warm and cozy! Food is another level, everything tasted great specially the tomatoes taste like real Italian tomatoes! Last but not least important our server Emanuel was super kind, patient, attentive and very courteous. Also the Manager Ramon was very special and treated us like queens! Wu and Ramon created such a beautiful seamless experience for my friend and I and gave us the best service we have experienced in a long time. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The service was outstanding, specifically Kim and Ramon. It was absolutely beautiful, spacious, and the food was perfect. It made my little cousins’ night (she flew out)! :)

When we came in the environment was very welcoming and we got seated quickly, ambience was amazing feels cozy, our sever rodrigo took our drinks order as soon as we sat down, we ordered the spicy vodka pasta, ceasar salad, and bread and it was all amazing especially the bread which was fresh soft and fluffy, our food came out quickly and our sever was extremely accommodating, would definitely come here again

Gabriel was our server and he was incredible! So tentative and so kind! Gave great recommendations! Everything came out in a timely manner and service from everyone including the hostess was wonderful! Definitely going to be back!

Our server Alfonso was wonderful. My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary and the service was amazing. Alfonso was very knowledgeable on the menu, very attentive to details and took very good care us. The food was incredible. Both my husband and I chose pasta and we were very happy with the selections Alfonso helped us make. Overall the atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely come back.

I was at a loss for dinner after wandering the area and passed the most beautiful hidden gem. Phenomenal staff. Breathtaking atmosphere. Drinks were so delicious. Socrates made this experience so memorable with his charm and warm personality and Ramon was absolutely fantastic to talk with and was very attentive that I received great service. Cannot express how lovely this experience was. I will definitely be coming back on my next business trip.

We ordered the Calibrese Muscles which were 10 out of 10 then we ordered the spaghetti vongike which was OMG 11 out of time with the Apperal spritz tree tower and OMG our service with Colby Waters and Adrian as our servers had just excellent excellent service so attention to and would definitely dine and come back again, just for the service and food alone not even the atmosphere which was phenomenal

The food is spot on delicious. I ordered a truffle pasta and some macaroni balls. I chilled out at the bar and was able to enjoy my meal and be able to mingle with the friendly bartender Woo. I would highly recommend them for their food and service.

Had a great girls’ night out at Lucrezia for a Christmas hangout. The food was awesome pasta, pizza, calamari, apps, and a super tasty dessert. Our waiters, Ramon and Stefano, were the best! Amazing service. I’d been wanting to try this place forever, and it definitely didn’t disappoint!

Excellent food and service. We had Bronzino, grill, prawns, arugula, salad, and asparagus. I’ll cook to perfection. Our waiter, Alfonso, was excellent and very attentive and made for a very positive experience. Her mom, the general manager, also checked in to ensure that we were satisfied and taken care of. Appreciate all they did to make our experience fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Lucrezia is easily one of my go-to favorite spots in San Diego. Whether its a night out with friends or a date night, they always make it a beautiful experience. Tonight Socrates at the bar was amazing. Stefano is also wonderful and always welcomes us with a smile. The food, the ambiance and energy of this place is unreal. Can’t get enough of it.

Food and service was amazing. Alfonso took care of us the whole night, really made us feel like home. We started off with a Dragon Mojito which is probably one of the best mojitos I’ve had, and calamari for appetizers. My friend and I decided on sharing a Pepperoni Pizza & Rigatoni Spicy Vodka. We ended the night with some delicious dessert. Overall such a great experience. Will definitely be coming back more often.

I love the service and food here. The parking is easy… Alfonso was so kind and attentive. The wine cellar very fancy… great bread with balsamic and olive oil. 10/10.

we went to Lucrezia to celebrate our anniversary, and I’m so happy we did. 🌟 service (we were in Jonathan’s section, and he was *awesome*) 🌟 food — everything was flavorful, fresh, plentiful 🌟 ambiance — lots of greenery and open space 🌟 bar/happy hour — we went early to catch happy hour, staff was attentive and quick (oysters were on the smaller side but tasty, the mignonette SO GOOD!) 🌟 location — we parked in the mall lot, it’s a quick walk Caesar salad was split between the two of us, classic Caesar, just what we wanted. lamb chops were tender and juicy, grilled to perfection. rosemary fries were OHMIGOD carbonara was good. caramel soufflé was perfectly done (I just prefer chocolate). the olives, marinated cherry tomatoes and cheese they give you upon seating was a nice touch, and yummy.

The Food and Service was spectacular. 10/10. Adriano and Ramon attended us with very good attitude and very helpful. The place is beautiful and the vibe and music very cheerful. Fully recommended

Incredible service, Stefano made the dining experience 10/10. From knowledgeable food + wine recommendations and great service. Ask for him when you make your reservation!! Veal (!!) + tiger prawns were delicious.

Matteo was an incredible server. We came with my mom who is 93 years old and he was so attentive and brought out her favorite aperitif. 5 stars for Matteo!

The overall experience was delightful. We had to switch servers in the middle of dinner due to a shift change and the wait staff and manager were more than attentive during the change. Our initial waitress was fantastic as well from start to finish. Who struck me was Creed, a young man working from the Philippines. He was so polite and respectful and brought us everything we needed. I am glad to see a young man working so hard to make his American dream come true. The food was delicious as well we ordered the filet (melt in your mouth), Lobster pizza, Arugula salad and Salsicca pasta. Followed by a Lemon Crostata for dessert and an espresso martini. I definitely recommend this restaurant for an overall 10/10 star experience and will be returning in the near future.

The food was amazing, but the overall ambiance & service was top tier!! Manny was an incredible server. All of his recommendations felt genuine & he had such a sweet energy! Management also checked in constantly & took great care of us. Highly recommend dining here.

Disappointed in the Cacio e Pepe. It was dry, with hardly a spec of Pepe (pepper) and did not come with cheese on top, as it shows on their site, etc. We’ve had it all over Italy and we were expecting similar but it fell short. The tagliatelle was ok, not very saucy. Pricey but pretty cocktails - expected with the wonderful ambience. Very pretty restaurant.

Too bad, there wasn’t a 3.5 /5. First decor is a bit confusing here. I’ld call it California thinks about Italy because it didn’t resemble any Italian restaurant I ever visited anywhere in Italy. It’s a huge airy conception but with book cases that hold Ai Weiwei! , flower books and nicnaks, an arched ceiling, wicker chairs, it’s a bit of a mishmash, although pretty. It has a patio and a dining room. And Saturday night, it was totally full. Drinks are inventive and great. I have a Lake Como and although I don’t get the connection with white cranberry, syrupy tea and other ingredients, it really is good. My husband’s Roman Sunset is good too. They bring a little plate with olives( spicy), tomatoes ( boring) and a beautiful beautiful Parmigiano cheese dug out from a cheese wheel from Italy. So far so good. But, the calamari are a disappointment. Not plump- in a dry crust and they are greasy. When we express our opinion, a manager comes immediately and offers to replace them. We say no thanks.But even their two sauces for the calamari are so-so. But the attention to service is admirable. But the pastas are very very good. I have tagliatelle with a 6 hour sauce.As close as your nonna ever made. There is a huge meatball and what I would call great comfort food. My husband is likewise happy with Pasta Carbonara. He says it’s fresh tasting and delicious. Neither of us can finish these large portions. But truly, those crumbles at the beginning of the meal were the real deal: Italian delights. Too bad more attention hadn’t been paid to the calamari. But the warmth of an Italian trattoria is missing ..that ambiance. Maybe books on Michelangelo, Caravaggio would help…

Terrible. Don’t do it! In addition to butchering traditional Italian food, they talk down to you and say “it’s how it’s done in Milan” (about Southern Italian dishes) and are condescending. We ordered Dover Sole special and it was $82 for one portion which was a bit surprising. Pasta was terrible- Cacio de Pepe was Alfredo cream sauce and they dumped 2 teaspoons of pepper on top! Avoid this restaurant. They are an embarrassment to our profession.

We popped in for a quick Prosecco at the bar and our servers, Wu and Yvette, were so fun, warm, and welcoming that we ended up staying for dinner! Recommend the penne arrabbiata, margherita pizza, and arugula salad. We met the general manager Ramon on our next visit and he was also extremely welcoming & thoughtfully checked in multiple times. The stellar team is a big part of the reason we’ll be back :) (P.S.10/10 recommend grabbing casual dinner at their gorgeous red marble bar)

Love it. Beautiful with an amazing very Italian menu. My favorite is the veal Milanese but everything is outstanding. Service is amazing. A great addition to the San Diego food scene and will worth a try.

We enjoyed an incredible dinner at Lucrezia to celebrate a birthday. The staff were very attentive from the minute we arrived. We ordered drinks and appetizers while we reviewed the menu and it all came out quickly. The beef carpaccio and the burrata with prosciutto were very tasty. Delicious, warm bread was served alongside the appetizers. Our waiter was very responsive and took our order after we had time to share our appetizers. We each ordered a pasta dish and all of them came out very quickly and were excellent. Each dish was cooked perfectly and the flavors were exactly as we had hoped. We had the Cacio e Pepe, the Carbonara and the Arrabbiata. Highly recommend all three. We were treated to really delicious chocolate cake with decadent vanilla gelato for the birthday and we ordered Tiramasu, as well. Not a bite left on either plate. As we prepared to pay the bill and leave, the manager treated us to a round of Lemoncello to top off the meal. What a lovely suprise. Kudos to our waiter, the chefs and management. We were so glad we chose Lucrezia for dinner.

Reading the reviews we were a hesitant to go since we were having a business meeting and didn't want a loud place. We went early enough and sat outside that it turned out to be a great spot and the food was excellent. A nice variety of dishes on the menu which appealed to the "selectiveness" of my colleague. Our server, Stefano, was great. He gave excellent recommendations for pasta dishes and wine. He came by just enough to check on us and we never felt rushed. It was perfect weather to sit outside but is the weather ever that bad in San Diego?! I definitely recommend this restaurant!

I just had the best meat sauce and meatball I’ve ever had! Our server, Manny, was so on top of everything! He made everything so special as we were celebrating my friends 50th birthday. The ambiance is amazing. I felt like I was sitting in an Italian restaurant Florence. The manager, Ramon brought over a delicious lemoncillo shot just to say thank you for coming! The location has valley parking next to Javier’s La Jolla. $12 for 4 hours. You can self park as well. This is hands down my new favorite Italian restaurant!!

The restaurant atmosphere is really lovely and the staff and bartenders are nice. The food was just ok and portions are small for the price. A glass of Italian wine is about $25.00 and it’s not that great. There are better options in the area that are more reasonable.

The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor, clearly slow-cooked with care. The sauce was rich without being too heavy, it paired perfectly with the rest of the dish. It’s one of those plates that feels comforting. Something you’d happily come back for and recommend to friends.

I had an amazing time at Lucrezia La Jolla! The staff is incredible and make you feel right at home. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. We were sat personally by the manger at the bar. The ambiance is so cozy and definitely picture worthy. Me and my guest started with some red wine which was a perfectly selected by the bar keep on duty Soctates… and was delicious! Then for our entrees we ordered - the spicy rigatoni pasta per Mr. Wu suggestion. We finished off the night with desert and was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!

I’ve been here a few times and each time I’ve had a great experience. The food is exceptional and the service is very special. It is one of the few restaurants in San Diego where I genuinely have had great experience with both food and service. Marco was our waiter last time and he was very attentive and polite. I will definitely continue coming back.

I had the best experience dining here! We got the brussel sprouts, cesar salad, cacio e pepe, rigatoni, margarita pizza, and a dessert. We had the opportunity to have Diana as our waiter and let me just tell you, she is so sweet!! The food too… AMAZING… If you guys were to come here, get the cacio e pepe! It’s so buttery and creamy with the right touch of truffle! I will be coming here again and asking for Diana, specifically.

My dad and I had such a great experience at Lucrezia tonight! Our server Adrien was fantastic and the manager Romon was amazing as well. The whole team was so polite and welcoming, which really made the night special. The food was incredible too—I highly recommend trying the Cacio E pepe!

Adrian was absolutely amazing! First time here and I can’t wait until my next visit. The food was off the charts and the service is by far the best we have ever had. I cannot recommend this place enough.

First of all, I am always leery of going to restaurants where their websites do not list their prices. This is a NO, NO. My second comment is that Italian food should not be as expensive, tasteless, and in smaller than regular portions. Italian food is to enjoy and indulge, something that did not happen here Will not go again...!!!

We had such a great dining experience at Lucrezia. First, the staff was so friendly and attentive. Shoutout to our server Jonathon and a big thanks to Ramon, the floor manager, for the royal treatment. We tried SO many dishes and did family style and that was definitely the way to go! We loved the burrata and prosciutto, and of course you have to get the arancini. The veal was delish and so was the branzino. Don’t forget the Brussels sprouts! We were celebrating a birthday so we received the chocolate cake! Such a nice touch! We will definitely be coming back! Gracias y grazie.

Incredible service and incredible food. As many have mentioned here we did have Socrates as our waiter just to the left of the bar. We did not have reservations and showed up about 8:45pm and were seated instantly on a Friday night. Unheard of in that part of town! We had the arancini and pepperoni pizza and added basil and it was fantastic. Whoever they use for the mozz it was sublime. While we were hanging out must have had 3 different small drink testers from Socrates: a limoncello shot, an espresso martini shot, and the last one I can't remember but was coffee based as well and all were excellent, on the house. Holy moly. For dessert had the Tiramisu and the Chocoloate volcano banana I don't remember but it was insanely good. For the money, incredible value for the prices and over the top good service. Will absolutely be back.

My husband and I were on our way to a different restaurant but I have a friend called Lucrezia, so we changed our plans on a whim. We sat at the round, open bar. It’s a beautiful ambiance, bright and elegant, pretty greenery, a large space with two open rooms. Sunday early evening, was quite busy. Fun vibe! The bartender Wu, is amazing. He brought us a complimentary appetizer and an aperitif, when we closed out. I loved my cocktail and also discovered a wonderful new, rose wine 🍷. The meatballs were fire 🔥 and I’m pretty picky, being Italian. Our bar neighbors, had the most delicious looking prawns and Dover sole, deboned table-side. Bar-side, in this case. This couple dine here often, and we’re sharing with me, how much they love the place. They also have family gatherings here, with their parents. The manager came by to say hello and gave me some limoncello. I’m sure it was homemade, it was better than most limoncello and very refreshing. I was so impressed, I’m bringing my girlfriend back for a birthday dinner, tomorrow. Manager (Ramon Ibarra) said, our first glass of prosecco will be on him. This is my first Trip Advisor review, I don’t leave many reviews in general, but it was such a wonderful experience. They are worthy of my time and appreciation.

Attention to detail was perfect! Service was impeccable! Antonio was our server and he had great drink recommendations! The food was delicious! We especially loved the fresh cheese and olives at the beginning of our meal. The ambiance transports you to Europe! Highly recommend. “Cin Cin” as our glasses of limoncello cheered was the crown of our meal!

The best place to take yourself to a solo dinner. Camilla will never be leave unattended, making sure you are enjoying your time at Lucrezia, and the food comes out fast! Enough to make me clean my plate. Ramon takes pride in every guest interest and it’s an honor to meet him in person.

Every dish was fantastic and came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. - Margherita pizza with a beautifully light crust and rich tomato flavor. - Kids’ chicken tenders and French fries that were actually crispy and high quality, not an afterthought. - Two pasta Bolognese plates that were hearty, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. - Caesar salad and arugula salad, both super fresh and well-dressed, great balance of flavors. - Mussel linguine with perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful broth. - Six oysters that were fresh, briny, and a great start to the meal. - Lemon cake for dessert plus gelatos (vanilla, stracciatella, chocolate, and pistachio) that were creamy, authentic, and the perfect finish. Drinks were just as impressive, from the carajillo to the tequila twists and gin cocktails, all balanced and crafted with care. The ambiance at Lucrezia La Jolla feels like a little escape to coastal Italy, with a lively but comfortable energy that works great for families. Service was attentive without being pushy, and timing between courses was spot on. Huge shout-out to Adrean, who took amazing care of our family all night—friendly, patient with the kids, and on top of every detail. He made the experience feel special from start to finish. This was a true 5-star experience from beginning to end, and Lucrezia La Jolla has definitely become a new family favorite. This is an amazing restaurant. Ramone the manager is so attentive and caring for his guests. The whole staff is so sweet and attentive. The lamb chops are so good but the asparagus is a little lacking for the cost. The atmosphere is very European and lovely. Would recommend!

Coming from San Francisco CA. I was lucky find this place. Staying in San Diego I did not anticipate eating any authentic Italian food here, Only seafood. Once we found this great restaurant we were able to valet with ease and walk straight into the restaurant. They took us in with No Reservations. From the beginning the customer service was outstanding! Creed was our server, he was very polite very patient and super knowledgeable with his craft on knowing the menu. Creed has a great attitude made us feel welcome. The food was outstanding five stars! You have to try the brussel sprouts!! Ramon the manager was checking in on us and making sure that we were pleased with our dinner and Creed as our server. There's no doubt about it the next time I come back down to San Diego im coming back to "Lucrezia"

Drove down here from Los Angeles to celebrate my birthday and had an experience that exceeded our expectations. Our server Adrian was amazingggg!!! This guy didn’t miss a beat!!!! The food & drinks were balanced and delicious. Service was such well oiled machine. We felt cared for from the moment we came in until even after we wrapped up our meal. And they gave my partner a yummy treat & candle for his bday celebration! The manager Ramon came around to check on us and just made the whole experience worth our hike down there. We will be coming back in the future! Ask for Adrian if you come to this location!

Celebrated a fabulous birthday with an entertaining and attentive staff. The food was like a flashback/deja vu experience to a recent trip to Rome and Capri. We had very delicious, Mouth-watering dishes: Tagliatelle, RIGATONI, RISOTTO, BRanzino, and even "just Spaghetti" had unique Italian flavors ... Lucrezia was a great surprise and to see such high-quality food and care. The staff accommodated every detail. Franco, Matteo, and Ivanco had extra dishes brought over to us just to try them out. This is what we would have expected from a mom and pop restaurant in Positano, and lo and behold, it is available in la Jolla. We will be back!

I ordered the margherita pizza and spicy rigatoni pasta as well as the caramel lava cake to finish off. It was the best pizza I ever tried and the pasta spiciness was perfectly balanced . The dessert was incredible served warm and the ice cream and brulee bananas made the perfect combination. The staff, like Ramon are incredible nice and made the experience even better. The ambiance is neat!

Went to Lucrezia for a ladies night out. The interior decor is beautiful but the restaurant is too loud to have a discussion. The food is good but the portions are laughably small for the price. We actually had to order extra dishesand each dish was about $30+. The service was extremely slow. It took one hour to get our entrees. There is better value for the $$.

Wu (as in Wutang) was amazing! Very personable and made some great drinks. We love a bartender that can give recommendations and make us something unique. The Sformantino Di Salsa Al Caramello dessert was to die for. We will be back for another fun date night at the bar :)

Upbeat vibe, fresh pastas and pizzas , they had live music playing in the patio, service and drinks were on point! Will return.

Lucrezia kept popping up on Instagram so when we were in San Diego for the weekend, we had to come check it out! We did book a table but we were still kept waiting for 10 minutes when we arrived. Our waiter was not attentive at all once we were seated. He barely checked on us all night. There aren't a lot of options for vegetarians, unfortunately. I had the mushroom risotto which was nice, but nothing special. We were not offered parmesan or black pepper, and our waiter walked away before we could even ask. It was also very difficult to catch his attention. The waitress refilling water glasses and setting tables did an excellent job, though! The decor is stunning, but the restrooms are not on the same level. It is also a very loud restaurant - loud music, people talking very loudly at their tables. Not a relaxing dining experience.

Ask for Socrates, he is very friendly and hospitable. The food was incredible and drinks were too tier. The food and ambiance are great too. I’ll be back for sure!

Fantastic! There were seven of us, so we tried a little bit of everything: calamari, burrata, carpaccio, pizza, rigatoni, tagliatelle and branzino. Everything was delicious. The service was outstanding. An excellent wine list. Given the quality of the food and service, the prices were quite reasonable. You definitely get what you pay for.

Worst Lunch in Ages. We had a table of 6 with all adults. The waiter had a hard time turning on above heater. He smelled of so much cologne that it was disgusting. He had a dirty shirt under a white coat. We had to return 7 utensils and 2 plates because of food on them. We returned 1 dish, a pasta that was so overcooked it was mushy. The waiter forgot one main dish totally. Dessert was a disaster, he forgot one dessert and it took 20 minutes to get 2 scoops of sorbet. We had to ask three times for the flavors of sorbet. It took 3 hours for this lunch which should have been 1 or 2 hours max because they were short on help and the waiter was so slow.
