1. FIRST - there was oil on the seat (which had dripped from the AC) stained my wife's slacks. Waiter said "Oh, we usually put something there so nobody sits in that oil" . 2. SECOND - When my wife went to the washroom to try to wash out the oil - she was greeted by cockroaches. YUCK ! 3. THIRD - when our food arrived - it was neither tasty or attractively presented. You get better food at a Mall Food-Fare. For the oil stain in my wife's cream-coloured slacks - the waiter offered a 10% discount - AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO ASK ME FOR A GOOD RATING WHEN I TOLD HIM I WOULD BE PROVIDING COMMENTS ON TRIP ADVISOR ! MY RECOMMENDATIONS 1. Check out the coachroaches in the washrooms before you order. 2. THEN IMAGINE WHAT THE KITCHEN MUST BE LIKE ! ! 3. Then say "Ciao" to Luigi ! ! !

Was recommended by at least three passersby while looking at the menu. Try the grilled seafood with mixed veggies or the chicken parmesan.

This small Italian cafe is a balm for the soul! Authentic dishes with Seattle flair. The host was attentive and even graciously offered to charge our daughter's phone while we dined. The food was delicious and filling! We shared the Pesto Chicken Pasta and a salad and our daughter had the Margarita Pizza. Highly recommend both!

We were in the mood for pizza and beer in Pioneer Square, so dove into this little corner bistro for lunch. It's truly tiny, with only a handful of small tables. But we wedged ourselves in. Unfortunately, they had no draft beer, only a couple brands in bottle. So we tried the house wine instead, which was drinkable and inexpensive. The atmosphere was hectic and loud, authentic in a sense. The service wasn't great, but there was only one waiter, trying to handle the entire place, and he was personable enough when we were able to flag him down. The pizza was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. They were billed as individual, 10" pizzas, but were way more than we could finish. We would have been OK splitting one. So bring an appetite, go when you have plenty of time, and enjoy the noisy chaos.

It is so hard to find really good creamy pollenta dishes, but Luigi's has them. Try the one with the smoked salmon and fresh peas - OMG, it's so good. I'm a good Italian cook, and I just can't make this dish as good as they do. I make a special trip there when I get the craving! Very earthy, not fancy place, but the food is why you are there.

My partner and I were looking for Italian food in Seattle and happened upon Luigi’s. We were welcomed in by a gentleman who I take to be the manager, who was exceedingly polite and very friendly and professional. The food was exceptional and we devoured it quickly. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

Amazing food , best prices and great service. Don't come for decor , come for great food !!! Flavours and pasta come together in perfection.

Try the spaghetti and meatballs. Al dente to perfection and flavorful meatballs. Adding chicken to the Basilico pasta is a good way to go. Helpful staff, nice atmosphere, good prices.

Very good food, excellent staff, pricing was very comparable to other places. Good to people and pups! Its next to Ghost Tours of the underground city. Was recommended by the good pup friendly folks of Mystery Book store. The staff were attentive and very kind, bought us drinks quickly and water bowl for the dogs. The food was authentic and delicious, what we didn't eat there, they packed up for us and we polished it off back at the hotel.

Stumbled in here on our way to the underground tour, and pleased that we did. Don't bother asking for a menu, let the waiter bring what he thinks is best. We loved the risotto, the salad, the pasta, and everything he brought out. The bartender was a bit surly, but she warmed up. We only left because there was no air conditioning, and we were miserably hot.

I'm so sad I just found this place after being in Seattle/Pioneer Square for 5 days. I ordered the Bolognese and it was tremendous! Service was super friendly.

There are just too many fantastic restaurants to enjoy to waste your time in Luigi's Little Italy. While it had good reviews in Yelp, our experience was not good. The service was appalling slow and one server kept playing with her long blonde hair in the dining room in front of the only other party of diners besides ourselves. Yuck. We ordered bruschetta which was delicious but we also ordered two over-priced pasta entrees which after a hour had yet to appear. Trying to wave down a server or the couple who seems like they might be the restaurant owners was a waste of time. So we paid for one over-priced iced tea and the bruschetta and left for a far better meal elsewhere. If a restaurant is going to charge more than ten dollars for a bowl of pasta, it must offer a reasonable level of customer service. Not sure if it was an off night in the kitchen but it was also surprising that they were surprised we left and were hungry. At a restaurant.

Flew in from the east and wanted something light and choose the seafood Risotto. Good amount of shrimps, clans, mussels. I would have given a higher rating but couldn't based on my first impression walking in and seeing a cluttered front area that isn't welcoming.

I lived in Napoli for two years and eating at this restaurant was like traveling back to that time. From having my water served in a reused wine bottle, to the Hole in the wall location where you practically share a table with the everyone else in the restaurant. The service is like being in someones home, The food looks like, and tastes like it was just prepared in some old ladies kitchen by a grandmother who lives to cook. The food and experience was worth every penny. Skip a meal at that corporate seafood joint and eat here. You wont regret it!

This tiny corner restaurant had great food, fun ambience, and the most delightful waitress ever. What a lucky find!

I thought we'd take a chance with the little Italian place off the beaten path. Not the best choice. The restaurant is small, with seating divided into two tiny areas (maybe even three?). We were greeted and seated immediately. The server was friendly and accommodating, though the three of us were seated at two small, round tables pushed together in the corner, which was really awkward. The menu is small (not necessarily a bad thing). The only drinks listed are Italian wines, though they do have a few soft drinks and some basic liquors for mixed drinks. We ordered a cup of soup, the calamari app, a soda, a mixed drink, and a beer. No one liked the food (except me, I thought it was all okay but not great) and didn't like any entree options on the menu, so we told the server we were in a hurry and just needed the check. $40 blown in 20 minutes. Perhaps if we'd given them a better opportunity, we may have found that the place was awesome. Unfortunately, the cramped seating, limited menu, and not-great apps sent us off in search for a something else.

This place is authentic Italian Food. The mushroom risotto special was very good and full of flavor. The Orechette dish was very good too with great flavor combinations including plenty of garlic. For a salad the Caprese salad was very delicious you could taste to great fresh basil flavor. The tomatoes were very garden fresh and just the right amount. They did not have any Tiramisu which is huge disappointment since that's how I gauge all Italian restaurants, that's why I have it a 4/5. The service was great and super quick.

Probably the best sausage I've ever had. As an Italian from NJ, I know Italian food. Luigi's is like a little trip back home. My wife, also Italian from NJ, loved the eggplant parmesan as well as the polenta with asparagus. Service was exceptionally friendly and quick. Try the garlic bread. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, quantity, and being located in downtown Seattle. There are not many choices when you want to eat around Pioneer Square on a Sunday and in my opinion this is the best one by far. Neither of us ordered a drink so I can't comment on them.

Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had!! I was in Seattle for a conference, staying at the Sheraton Grand downtown and took the link little rail from the west lake station to pioneer square station and walked a few blocks to see pioneer square and stumbled into Luigi’s. We ordered the Alfredo with chicken and my colleague had the carbonara. One bite and we knew we had found a hidden gem!!! The dishes tasted like homemade Italian food that your grandmother would make. I spoke with the manager and our waitstaff and they shared these are old family recipes! If you are in the mood for a laidback environment, nothing fancy just good food, make your way to this area of Seattle and eat here! Skip the Instagram ready, over priced, pretentious restaurants (there are a lot in Seattle) and stop in for great meal!

Margarita pizza, bruschetta and pasta ragu made for an excellent mid-day meal for the family!! It's not fancy and inside was so stuffy (no air circulation) and warm we sat at an outside table... Our server was wonderful and people watching was quite entertaining...

We just ducked in here off the street in the mood for a pizza. Two of us split the funghi pizza (mushrooms) and one had a pasta with red sauce which he liked. No familiar beers so we got diet cokes. They have a large industrial fan going which is very noisy. The pizza had a lot of cheese, little sauce, it was just okay. But either the waiter or the cook whom we were seated right under had bad body odor. And the bathroom was pretty unclean too. Would never go back, ugh.

Got in on Sunday night for a training. A friend and I went down to this little place. Great customer service and great atmosphere. Has the Carbonara and it was flavorful and quick. Very impressed and quaint. A definite if you are looking for some pasta.

Seven of us stopped here after walking around Pioneer Square. It is very small inside, so having all of us there was a little awkward. We received attentive service from both the waitress and the owner (?) We really didn't want too much food, so we opted not to order the chef's special of 4 dishes. I ordered the potato gnocchi--it was light and delicious. My husband had the polenta crepe as did my nephew. My daughter and niece had spaghetti and meatballs. My sister-in-law had the tomato soup-- it was a very generous portion and just what she had hoped for--enough basil to provide a flavor to help disguise the tomato. We also had salad and garlic bread. The food was good--it is obvious that pride goes into the preparation. Given the size, I recommend this for a date night.

Don't spend your money on this place, if your vouchers expire, they will not allow you to use the amount you paid for the Groupon towards food. I spoke with Bill for reservations and I told him my vouchers expired because I can never find a reservation, they're always booked when I call. Bill told me that he would not honor the amount we paid for the Groupons because he had no way of knowing if they were really redeemed or not. Obviously, other merchants don't have this problem. I told Bill that the amount paid never expires and that the merchant is supposed to accept that amount towards their goods or services. Bill then proceeded to tell me that I should take it up with Groupon because I paid them and not him. Wow, nice customer service, Bill! And I'm sure Groupon paid Luigi's for the amount that I paid Groupon, so there's questionable behavior going on here. I contacted Groupon and they were able to refund me the amount paid, thankfully! I DO NOT recommend you buy anything from this merchant, they are not worthy of people's hard earned money. If it wasn't for Groupon's excellent customer service, I would have lost hundreds of dollars to this shifty merchant! The Groupons I bought to Luigi's Italian Eatery were for Five-course interactive cooking class for two, Three-Course Interactive Italian-American Cooking Class for Two, One cultural tour with food and wine tastings at four restaurants for two people, and Seattle's Little Italy Experience for Two.

Decided to try this small restaurant as I was staying close by. It is small and might not be the best place for a large group. I had a delicious spaghetti and meatballs dinner. The meatballs were very tasty and among the best I've had. I would go back again.

Everything was delicious! I had the Alfredo and my boyfriend had the gnocchi with brisket. We also got garlic bread and drinks. The price was very reasonable for downtown and we will be back.

Despite having been waiting inside the restaurant for a while with empty tables, we still had to wait for a table. Afterwards, it took forever to get a waiter to take our order. They had small plates for bread

My boyfriend and I loved this place! We had an amazing dinner and the staff are wonderful! Typical Italian food, fairly large menu. Really good and will definitely be back!

We staggered into this place for lunch, tired and starving on Sunday - looked like it was under renovations or?... no visible customers at that exact moment, but we didn’t care... We were promptly greeted by the friendliest server in Seattle, and within 5 min at least 6 other parties wandered in. Our waiter and his partner made quick business of everyone, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I ordered the calamari but it wasn’t quite my thing .... I split the fettuccini Alfredo with my daughter and I’m pretty sure there was a big chunk of heaven on our plate - OMG - absolutely the best Alfredo sauce on the planet .... So happy we lucked out with our first meal in Seattle and we hope to return someday !!

I am from south Louisiana and this food was excellent! Loved the decor - they pulled off mismatched tables and chairs. Price was great.
Wonderful!
Fabulous experience - an omnivore, pescatarian, gluten free AND an 11 year old were all thrilled with the meal, the warm, down to earth service and the lovely atmosphere. HIGHLY recommend! Randomly shared a veggie flatbread - and it was delicious!! We are originally New Yorkers, so it was a pleasure to be served by an authentic old school NY Italian server!
