I love their mushroom pizza topped with whipped riccota cheese. Writing this review is making me hungry just thinking about this delicious piece of dough. The service is great and quick and the prices are very fair in my opinion. Their margherita is also pretty good, but the mushroom is king. They overload that bad boy with a ton of shitake, button mushrooms and portabello. Highly recommend it.

Finally a new Pizza joint in Houston that serves delicious Neapolitan style pizza with amazing crust, and toppings. I had the Prosciutto pizza topped with a nice mound of arugula. prosciutto was generously applied and the arugula gave it a nice balance. Had a lemon vinaigrette which I had on the side which was nice, but a little sweet for my taste. Small dining room but very comfortable. Definitely one of the best Pizza joints in Houston.

I always get the prosciutto arugula pizza. It is to die for. The service is great too. It is a small place that has a great Monday wine special. Good prices too.

We needed a place for a quick bite after a long day, and ducked in here to find great atmosphere, fast service, and really good food. We all three had a personal pizza. I expected to have a lot left, but we pretty much polished it off. (See pic.) Great crust. Fresh ingredients. The margherita was especially good with fresh basil slivers all over. We will definitely be back.

This pizza place is new in Houston and I just love it. The pizza is some of the best ever. The pizza is thin and crispy. The 9 inch is almost large enough for two to share. I had the mushroom pizza and added pepperoni's. It comes with some creamy ricotta on it. Sooooo yummy!! For dessert we had a warmed homemade chocolate chip cookie that was filled with lots of dark melty chocolate chips. This is one of my new favorite places in Houston. The restaurant is attractive. It is in a little strip shopping center behind Papposito's on Kirby.

Great pizzaria, thin ans crispy pizza with quality ingredients! Ordered carryout while staying at a hotel nearby, one of the best pizzas we've had in a while.

By far, the best meal we enjoyed in Houston! Google Maps led us to Luna Pizzeria as we looked for dinner to be delivered. We have absolutely no regrets. Two pizzas, one cheese and one sausage, arrived quickly, still hot! They were thin-crust, with the perfect amount of sauce and toppings.

I love the way you are greeted upon entering this establishment. That's why I will keep coming back. Uh, the pizza will keep me coming back! Thanks Luna! 😋

What ever your taste buds desire, you'll find plenty to satisfy your pallet! The pizzas are great with awesome crust! Salads with fresh ingredients are savory and satisfying!

We stumbled on this place and discovered a very delicious salad! I had a personal pepperoni pizza which was wonderful and I would order it again. My wife had a personal Margarita pizza and it wasn't very good (hence 4 out of 5 rating). I think they use a different sauce. Great service. It was a cool night and too warm 80 degrees inside (thermostat next to us). Anyway, looking forward to the next visit to Luna.

You can feel the freshness on every bite. Only two sizes available, personal and a medium-large which is enough for two hungry pizza lovers. Perfect crust and good quality fresh ingredients.

My daughter told me about this small pizzeria and we decided to try it out. Located in a small shopping center next to Office Depot - small, walk up and order pizza with daily specials. You can choose to order one of their specialty pizzas or do it yourself - they also have salads and sandwiches. These are 9 inch personal pizzas with thin crust - we ordered the lunch special - I had the mushroom, spinach, goat cheese pizza and mini Cesar salad. My daughter order the mushroom pizza without mushrooms and mixed salad (she doesn't like mushrooms, but loves the spinach / goat cheese. We were served the salads quickly and for a mini, the bowl was quite large. Salads were crisp and tasty. OMG the pizza! Small slices filled with flavor - I love thin crust and it was perfect - the mix of the variety of mushrooms with the creamy goat cheese and sprinkle of spinach was fantastic. They also bring a small plate of fresh shaved parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and rosemary to add. Great lunch, fabulous price - $11 for pizza and salad. I could only eat half the pizza, and it was still good as leftovers. I will be back - fresh, quick and good prices. What's not to like?

Awesome pizza! Shared a large pie with a friend-half spicy andouille sausage other half prosciutto & arugula. Also had the caesar salad which was just plain delicious! I love a meal that leaves you wanting more! This will be a regular stop for pizza!

Damm good pizza, friendly staff.food is fresh. Place is clean. Go their twice a month. Would highly recomend

Driving in the Kirby Alabama area noticed I was getting hungry. Did a quick search for something good and fast. Luna pizzeria was new to us never noticed it before. Ok let's try it. I ordered a large pie with pepperoni, cheese, fresh slice tomatoes, prosciutto, onions and bell peppers. The crust was thin and crunchy, it almost snapped when I bit into it. The prosciutto was baked under the cheese which made it look like an enchilada. Doing this added a new dimension to pizza. Add a cold beer to the pizza treat and you have something good and fast. Stay hungry amigo! El Gordo.

Stopped in to get a few small pizzas to go before the Astros game. When I walked in (had not been here before) there were about 3-4 tables seated. The employee who greeted me and answered my questions (Thomas?) was awesome. He was super friendly and helpful and had great customer service. That won me over! I ordered 2 pizzas to go (Pepperoni and Margherita). In fairness, I did not read the descriptions of the pizzas before ordering which I should have because I would have changed my order. The size we ordered are their 'small' or 'personal' size and they are just right for one person or for two people who only want a few slices. The slices are cut very small so if you want a really large slice I would not recommend ordering this size pizza. I sat down at one of the tables to wait (they give you a number and bring your order to you) and one thing that was impressive is they clean the tables immediately after someone leaves. I appreciate that because the restaurant is very clean which I am super picky about. Now, the pizza... the Pepperoni was very good and slightly (very slightly) spicy. The crust is super thin and they put a lot of pepperoni on each slice so this pizza was definitely a good choice. As I mentioned, I did not read the description on the menu so I was surprised when the Margherita had tomato sauce. I am used to Margherita pizza with sliced tomato and no sauce. I did not like the sauce at all as it was very sweet. This is my fault for not reading the menu. Many people might prefer sauce on their Margherita, it was just not for me or the others in our group. If I were in the area I would definitely consider returning for another Pepperoni pizza. They are doing a lot of things right!

This is a terrific spot for lunch. Quick, not too pricey and really good pizza. This time I had the SWEET ITALIAN SAUSAGE, RED ONIONS & RED PEPPERS pizza. Spicy, sweet heaven. Thin crust, perfectly crisped, the individual sized for $9 is exactly the right amount for lunch. Add $6 and get a large to share. The wife had the mushroom again BABY PORTABELLO, SHITAKE, OYSTER, BUTTON MUSHROOMS, SPINACH, ROSEMARY & WHIPPED RICCOTTA only she asked for basil instead of spinach. Wow! What flavor...and I am one of those people that believes it's not pizza without some meat. The pizzas come out hot and fast. They bring a lovely little plate of crushed red pepper, parm and fresh oregano. Grab your fountain drink from the back. They have select beer and wine too. Little tables around the walls and a long community bench in the middle. Grab a pie to go too. Friendly counter folks. The salads that came out looked heavenly. Huge mounds of fresh lettuces and veggies. I may have to have one of those and bring a pie home one day! Small $5, large $7. Look at this house salad: CHOPPED ICEBERG, ROMAINE, RED CABBAGE, CARROTS, RED ONIONS, ARTICHOKE HEARTS, KALAMATA OLIVES, PROVOLONE, SOPRESSATA, GRAPE TOMATOES & CUCUMBERS, TOSSED IN OUR HOUSE VINAIGRETTE This is perfect quick bite before a night out place or a nice start to a fun date.

A Chicagoa thin crust pizza lover, Luna's is the best! Daughter had leg surgery and was recovering in a nearby hotel (much better than hospital,) and we carried out 2 times. Great staff, bubbly crust thin pizza (get the prosciutto one) and if I had stayed to eat, they have Villa Antinori BY THR GLASS. Can't beat that. 2 pizzas/$14 + change. Make a point to try them out!

After reading several reviews raving about this pizza, we made it our Saturday Evening choice last week. Big mistake. Super crowded, noisy, and slow, I decided to leave, but my wife suggested we get our pizza to go. OK good idea...not! 40 minutes later standing in a tight aisle leaning against a soda machine we got our pizza. We chose to get 2 large pizzas and split up our toppings among their top 4 selections (2 "half and halfs".) The cashier was very patient helping everyone in line, but she was overwhelmed. When we finally got our order we went home and dug in with great anticipation. I disliked all 4 types and my wife disliked 3 of the 4, only liking the "fabulous mushroom best I ever had!" pizza. Even allowing for it being Saturday night, I will not be returning. $35 should get me something I can enjoy elsewhere.

I just love this little spot off Kirby and Richmond... The pizza is always fresh and the service is great... The mushroom pizza with ricotta cheese add pepperoni is my FAVORITE... The fresh basil, red peppers and shaved parmesan cheese adds a great Italian touch. Oliver was great! And the pricing is awesome, individual specialty pizza for under $10.. Might I suggest you add a class of wine?

Really liked the pizza dough. Thin crust but not tuff. Make sure you get some of their chocolate chip cookies. We got a batch straight out of the oven. I will say they are the best CCC I have ever eaten.

Took a chance during my lunch break and stopped into Luna Pizzeria. This place has a great atmosphere. It was very clean and well maintained. Very Customer orientated group of workers. I was pressed for time so I chose the Pepperoni Pizza that was already made and out on display. The nice worker added extra cheese and ran in through the oven for me. This pizza was the BOMB!!! I will be going back soon. If I had 3 thumbs I would give it all 3 but since I only have 2 I will stick with that - 2 thumbs UP!

They have great pizza, but getting really sloppy. My pizza had all the cheese in the middle. Not sure why. If you like pizza bread with sauce it works. It's a shame because they really do make great pizza when they pay attention. so disappointed in them.

Hard to go wrong ordering a pizza here for my family - sausage for the savory types, margarita for the vegetarians. Might want to add arugula as an extra topping to any order. Tomato sauce is slightly sweet. Salads are large, fresh, delicious, healthy. We also like sharing any of the three sandwiches on the menu between two people. Classic meatballs are the go-to favorites but all of them are good. Good selection of wine and beer as well as fresh (not weird fountain) iced tea. Nice nice gelato in the freezer for dessert!! Great ending!! And the atmosphere is fun and comfortable. Always busy. Nice counter staff.

Great pizza for low prices. I always order it for pickup and my pizza has always been ready by the time I arrive. The restaurant itself is very cute and would be a fun date spot.

This place adds a lot of coolness to your typical pizza location by offering not so standard varieties, nice environment and even putting small plates of Parmesan flakes, dry peppers and fresh oregano for each order. The individual size pizza is quite enough to satisfy your pizza craving and it is possible to order two kinds of pizza with one order. For those who like to live dangerously (spicy stuff), but want to enjoy a good sausage, I would recommend Ormanni. I have tried all their varieties and everything was good. Add to that a glass of wine and you have a very decent meal for a good price.

You can choose from a dozen pizza places inside the loop. Pick Luna next time for great taste, service, and specialty. I eat the plain old cheese pizza, but there are many gourmet choices that you can order as a personal pizza or a shareable pizza. Kids are welcome, noise level is definitely casual and fun! Parking available and you don’t need a valet just to park your car! They also have puzzles and games for the kids.

My husband and I are pretty obsessed with Luna Pizzeria. For a while we were eating here every weekend. It's great for dine in or take out. If you dine in, there is a free-play, two-player arcade game with tons of retro games on it like Pacman and Arkanoid. They also have a few other games and puzzles sitting out. They have a nice little selection of craft beer and wine, bottled sodas and San Pé, as well as fountain drinks, lemonade, and tea. We love the pepperoni pizza (we get it with fresh basil an onions added). The tomato soup is really good too. Don't forget a warm chocolate chip cookie!!!

Upon moving to Houston, we were really struggling to find good pizza anywhere. Thankfully a neighbor recommended Luna Pizzeria, and we finally have a place to get great pizza. The service is friendly. The prices are reasonable. The thin crust is delicious. The ingredients are super fresh. Be sure to the try their margherita -- it's very very very good!

Good pizza. Excellent salad. Enormous portion size for the salad. Service was fast and friendly. Great vibe in the dining room. 80s music playing. Families and single diners alike.

Best pizza i have had in years. Nice thin Crust and yummy toppings...Excellent salads! Try the arugula and fennel!

Enjoyed the Margherita pizza. Crust was perfect (not too thin). And the sauce had a good flavor with a little spice to it. Definitely worth giving it try. I plan on going back when in Houston.

Had a delicious, fresh margarita pizza that looked and tasted like pizza in Naples. Also enjoyed a very Italian argula-fennel salad. And loved the decor - fresh, friendly, efficient, fun....Prices are quite reasonable and it looks like they have a nice wine selection and a sweet dessert menu. Servings are quite large; we shared a small salad between three people and had leftovers; could share the pizza four ways, probably..... I think that this will be a very successful endeavor.

Pizza was amazingly fresh and tasty. I had the prosciutto and arugula and my husband has the spicy andouille. The “small” side salad was almost enough for a meal by itself! It was filled with deliciousness - artichoke hearts, salami, and chunks of cheese. Both of the pizzas were super - lots of meat and well balanced ingredients. For dessert we tried the Italian Cake and the Apple Crostini and both were excellent. Honestly, everything at Luna Pizzeria was wonderful! I definitely recommend any of their locations!

This pizza was really great. The place is under rated. I have eaten pizza in New York and this is very close if not better. I love this place I will go back for sure. This gets an A+++. Thanks

A custom order is happily accepted. Thin & crispy crust with just light sauce & quality meats satisfies every time.

Pizza was like an old cold carpet, quite frankly it’s disgraceful. Looks like they make some pizza’s ahead of time and when some comes along and orders, you get a stiff, old pizza for a high price.

Cute pizzeria around the corner from our afternoon activity. We loved the half Mushroom/ half prosciutto and arugula pizza. The Cobb salad was large and in charge. Service was friendly and lots of tables to eat. Small beer selection for the libations with your pizza.

Luna is an awesome pizzeria. Luna is located on the corner of Richmond Avenue and Kirby drive. It's tucked away in the corner near Office Depot. The seating is limited as the dining area is small but it is definitely worth the wait for a table. The personal pizza's are $9.00 and a large is $6.00 more. They offer a few basic pizza's, however, you can add toppings for a few bucks more. I ordered a regular large pepperoni pizza and added chicken to half. The Pizza had a great flavor and the crust was baked to perfection. Luna also brings you a plate of shredded parm, red pepper flakes and some fresh basil to add to your pizza. I personally love pizza and I would definitely recommend Luna to everyone. Enjoy the pictures Houston.

My family and I were on our way home when we just saw this pizza place. We decided to give it a go and we don't regret it! Not only is the food delicious, the staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Come here if you want to know what it's like to be invisible and watch people who came in 20 minutes after you finish eating before you're served!

I cannot believe it took me years to try this place. I ordered the prosciutto and arugula pizza and it blew my mind! It has this lemon vinaigrette you never knew it needed but the flavors combine for an extraordinary taste. On the side it comes with shaved parmesan, oregano, and red pepper flakes. By far the best pizza I have had in Houston.

good service. pizza for the price was creative and more than enough. I did not order a salad but other people had them and they looked great. If you are on a budget this is a great place.

In town for the rodeo and decided to check out this place. We ordered and large Cesar salad, split it among the three of us and didn't finish it. Ordered a large pepperoni and small margarita pizza. Service is quick and pizza is tasty. Nice crust - crunchy and chewing at the same time. Wanted to finish all of it, but stuffed. So good. Give them a try when you are in the neighborhood.

The pizza is outstanding....prepared exactly as requested with thin & crispy crust & toppings were generous & great. Got mine to go, but you could eat in & enjoy also delicious salad to compliment your pizza.

Being a New Yorker I know I can be hard on reviewing pizza outside of my home state but by far--Luna Pizza- is the best pizza I've had in Houston & I've tried a few. We had a small salad & a large & small pizza for our group. The salad was delicious & very generously sized- certainly plenty for 3 people. Both of the pizzas were excellent- the crust- the sauce- & the cheese were very "authentic" tasting to me! we had a half pepperoni & half mushroom large pie & it didnt disappoint at all. Tbe small was a hawaiian pie - although very good hawaiian isnt my favorite. The highlight of the meal was the very nice & friendly manager stopping by our table to ask how the meal was & chatting with us about the place & how it came to be there. I totally recommend Luna Pizza!

We walked in spontaneously because we couldn't get into a nearby restaurant, and boy were we surprised. This casual pizzeria owned by Barnaby's serves upscale pizza, salads and sandwiches at a very affordable price. The setting is very cool with a large family style table with games for the kids. Staff were amazingly friendly. I can't wait to get back to get some more of the chopped salad with Sopressata!

Small restaurant with limited seating but it was packed and I can see why! The pizzas are cooked to perfection and it was a pleasant dinner I enjoyed with my family. I like the fact that even though it is has the setup of a takeout ordering joint, you can still order pizza and have some good wine while not feeling rushed. Well done!

I was looking for a new pizza restaurant to try while visiting Houston and I found this restaurant not far from my Hotel. I ordered a jalapeno and mushroom pizza and it was wonderful!!! Along with the pizza they bring you a plate with crushed red peppers, fresh slices of parmesean cheese and fresh basil!!!

If you're a cheese lover like me, you have to try Cheesy Bites! Their four cheese pizza is a dream come true. Each bite is packed with cheesy goodness. The service was quick, and our order arrived piping hot. Can't wait to try more from their menu!

This review is about the store in the Heights. My wife and I were hungry for pizza. Luna had good reviews. We ordered a large Margherita & Spicy Andouille Pizza. We ordered a small Caesar Salad too. I called it in, and the person said it would be ready in 12-15 minutes. I thought that was very fast. I drove over, and it was ready when I hit the door. The spicy half was very good. The Margherita side was very bland. But what got me was the crust. Neapolitan Pizzas should have thin crisp crust. This one was not. When I picked up a slice, bent lengthwise, then small end flopped. Fine. It took a knife to cut the crust. It was like cardboard. The Caesar Salad was so-so. It came with a small (think shot glass) container of dressing. I wouldn't order it again. In short, I doubt I'll buy another pizza there. It was $23 for below average food.

We ordered a large pepperoni pizza for take out and loved it. We only spent a few minutes inside the restaurant to pick up our order, but it looks like a fun environment with free Pac Man too!

Been here several times and it's always fabulous. Casual dining, great menu, and the best thin crust pizza in Houston!

Casual order at counter Arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette and almonds is light and refreshing. Pizzas today were amazing - the cheese was near the edges and the pizza was crispy. I recommend getting several personal pizzas to share!
Smelled Good But Fell Short
We always try the local pizza places on our travels and gave this place a try for a carryout order. Overall, everything smelled great but the cheese and chicken pizza had very little paste. It was thin and dry. My veggie pizza had hidden jalapeño peppers in it that just messed up the pizza. Smelled good but fell short.
