Wonderful mean at Lure! We were staying around the corner and wanted some great seafood! Luredid not disappoint! The Char-grilled oysters have the right amount of topping and we’re plump and delicious! The Sea bass was perfectly prepared and everything tasted so fresh. We topped ot off with their crème brûlée which was creamy and not overly sweet. Service is great with waitstaff that is attentive but not too present.

What a great meal. Cocktails and wine a little on the high side, but the food was terrific and reasonable. Can't wait for my next visit.

I had dinner here with a friend, we arrived and were seated in a table in the middle of the restaurant. The food and service were good, but the dining room was entirely too noisy. We could hear several conversations as the people all around seem to be talking quite loudly. I'd suggest sitting outside or along a wall.

We went to Lure on December 23 for lunch. I was excited for this as I love seafood. Even though we have a condo two blocks from the restaurant, we won't be going back. We started with an order of Hush Puppies ($5.00). They were very dark brown and didn't taste good (you need to change your fryer oil!). I ordered the Skate Schnitzel ($11.00), my husband ordered the Tuna Melt half sandwich ($12.00) and cup of Gumbo (additional $2.00). The Gumbo was fairly good. The Tuna Melt was ok albeit fishy. The Skate Schnitzel should not have been called schnitzel. It was soggy and a little fishy tasting. A huge disappointment. And none of the food could be called warm. We ordered coffee with our meal. That took forever to get, it was served after the food. And our food service was slow. The restaurant wasn't busy, three tables were occupied (six patrons).

Went for early dinner with business group. Drinks, appetizers and dinner. Service was awesome and the recommendations were spot on. Casual business appropriate place where you can enjoy the evening and have good conversation.

Great service - attentive and informed. Setting is nice in Midtown with a large outdoor covered deck located in front. The menu is well varied with plenty of options. I wasn't terribly impressed with the starters however my entree (Carolina Trout) was delicious - fresh & flavorful. Portions were on the smaller side as compared to most fish restaurants. Pricing was fair. Nice setting and worth visiting.

First time visiting this restaurant. The food and service were good and I would visit again if in the area

My wife an I came to eat dinner at Lure prior to seeing the ASO at the Woodruff Arts Center. One of our primary concerns initially was to just eat somewhere close. What we found was much more. Our server, Barry (female), was excellent and enhanced our overall experience. She was spot on with both food and drink recommendations. We especially enjoyed, well, everything... Great appetizer with octopus and pork, wonderful lobster risotto and seafood stew. The desserts were superb as well. Would definitely recommend a trip if you are anywhere near downtown.

Outstanding in every area you can imagine. Ambience: cool understated casual elegance. Menu: imaginative and varied Drinks: same deal Service: spot on friendly and efficient. Food: 4 stars and up with some uniqueness We had calamari done very differently. Smoked octopus lettuce wraps. Sole. Cobia. All done very well and return worthy dishes. Good wine selections, adventurous cocktails and house made alcoholic sodas. Too full for a main dessert but each of us got a small scoop of housemade ice cream. S'mores for moi. Delish. They will not have to do much to Lure me back. ;0)

No real plans, we were just out in midtown on a Sunday evening and stumbled across Lure. To Calamari was great. The thinly sliced deep fried lemons went so well with the dish. We had a wonderful octopus, pork wrap. The fresh cilantro, basil and leafy herbs that came with the dish were remarkably fresh. The wrap came with cold noodles and had a bit of a Vietnamese influence. There seems to be a nice Asian influence for many of the dishes. Finding a Japanes Shouchu mixed drink (chu-hai) was a nice surprise, but the drink was so-so. Still nice and enjoyable. We loved it and will go back with friends.

We enjoyed our delicious lunch at Lure. We started with the hot crab dip and vidalia hush puppies. They were both delicious! We both ordered from the lunch special menu, and liked our choices. I had the 1/2 tuna melt with the cauliflower soup (my favorite thing I ate!), and my husband had the salmon cakes. The portions and prices were good, especially for the quality of food you receive. I didn't have room for dessert, but they looked great. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes good food (mostly seafood) and friendly service.

I have wanted to try Lure for a while. I took 5 business guests, and we had a great experience. Service was excellent, oyster choice was great and very fresh. Popovers were a nice surprise, wine list met my very picky guest approval, and meal was excellent. Good location in midtown Atlanta, easy parking and some other after dinner places around as well.

We ate here last Friday night for our anniversary. Super cool atmosphere. Rustic but classy.. We went here on the recommendation of a friend of ours. Far exceeded our expectations! We had reservations but decided to just eat at the bar when we arrived. Started off with shrimp cocktail which was excellent. Huge fat boy shrimp. Then had the grilled octopus which was out of this world! Comes with big lettuce leafs, noodles, and sauce to make a wrap. They were phenomenal! I had the Louisiana fried catfish... Probably one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. They brought us complimentary homemade fried donuts and ice cream for desert since it was our anniversary... Wow! Unbelievable! Definitely recommend Lure to anyone who loves great food and a cool atmosphere.

What a delightful surprise. The scene is charming high cielings, punctuated withoversized nautical wood sailing block and tackle. The seafood is superb, we shared: BAKED CRAB DIP roasted tomatoes, chives, toast points RICOTTA GNOCCHI sunchoke puree, charred leeks, tarragon FRIED RHODE ISLAND CALAMARI lemon, fennel, aioli GRILLED OCTOPUS & PORK LETTUCE WRAPS mixed herbs, Vietnamese sauce

We ordered Clam Chowder is was awful. It looked like mucus. The crab dip was more like a bruschetta. The cat fish had too much corn meal so it was gritty and the fries were too salty. The only thing was good was the bread. I would never go back or recommend.

We had a reservation at Ecco, but due to plumbing issues, they sent us to Lure, their sister restaurant a few blocks away. Outstanding! Wonderful food and great service from Courtney. The Seabass Ceviche and Baked Crab Dip appetizers were delicious. Ditto for the Grilled Carolina Trout and Bucatini main dishes. I didn't get to taste the Seasonal Fruit Trifle, but my guests made quick work of it. I'm guessing it was excellent.

Almost. That is where they are with dining at Lure seafood. Food was fairly good, but nearly every dish was just missing one thing to be great. Raw oysters were good, but the staff lacked knowledge and didn’t know which ones were which. Broiled oysters were great, but served on a dish that was so hot you had to burn yourself to eat them. Trout was whole and tasty, but the table side deboning was so poor I couldn’t eat half of it. Catfish was good, but basic and fried, and that was the new way they serve it which is better than before. Hush puppies were bland. No help with wine pairings which came half way through the main course anyway. So, at a small local restaurant, it would have been fine. But at a more boutique eatery and at those prices, the value is not there. Hopefully, they will make some corrections.

Attended a group dinner at Lure. They offered a set menu with many great choices. We started with calamari, crap dip, and hush puppies. Sounds ordinary but all three were exceptional. Next was a nice and simple salad. The entree was grilled salmon and then a delicious coconut mini parfait. Locking forward to my next visit. Service was very good too.

Very good dinner. The raw seafood apps were delish, the sides of hush puppies and potatoes were worth the calories! We all picked the cauliflower steak and it was very good. Great appetizer of fried oysters as well. We over ordered, but did not regret choices. It is expensive and a little disappointing on the size of the wine pour for $15 glass. The service was excellent. Bottom line, we all enjoyed and will definitely go back on special occasions.

Nice find! The food is amazing and fresh. From my understanding the menu changes often. Leave room for the hummingbird cake!

wow what used to be an amazing restaurant has definetly taken a turn for the worse..so sad ! the food was ok and the service was medicore at best ...not worth the money anymore

Food, setting, and service were top notch! Grouper was amazing and hot crab dip. Nice wine list. Good midtown location.

Delicious!! I ate every morsel of my Landlubber breakfast including the biscuit and jam!!! Everyone in our party of 16 talked about how good the entrees were. Most of us ordered brunch and/or some of the best gumbo ever! One of the Gulf Coast native bragged about the gumbo most. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will certainly return!

Outdoor seating is super cool and inside seating is intimate with cool vibe. Punch bowls are a must for large parties. Octopus lettuce wraps are excellent. Entrees were well prepared and presented but nothing special. Swordfish and catch of day were average. Chocolate caramel cake for dessert was very good. Prices are a little high for but it is Atlanta.

It was a busy Friday night. We went to celebrate a birthday. Nothing they did was wrong, but nothing they did made the evening a special celebration either. Service was not attentive, but not bad. Food was good, but not great. We had eaten here a year ago and been really impressed. Maybe this was just an off night?

We were in Atlanta for a conference and wanted to adventure away from the hotel. From the minute we walked into Lure and were greeted by a cordial hostess until we paid our check and left, it was a lovely experience. Our server was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The food was fresh and interesting, including dessert with chocolate covered mint leaves. A highlight was the Shaolin Punch, served in an honest-to-goodness silver punch bowl. If you're looking for tasty, unique seafood in Atlanta, give Lure a try.

Came here for a business dinner in early July and really liked the vibe upon walking in. We were at a long table in the back against some curtained wall which was nice, we were tucked away so we could talk and not have to scream at each other. The table ordered a bunch of drinks/wine and of course we had to try one of the bowls - we got the peach one and ordered the small but got a HUGE goblet like thing placed down in front of us. It was good, but not something you'd really want to drink a lot of with your coworkers - in fear of bad decisions being made in the future. We ordered a ton of appetizers: Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche - AMAZING; Baked Crab Dip - really good as well. I just ate it with a fork and didn't use the toast points; Grilled Octopus & Pork Lettuce Wraps - lots of octopus which was nice - you always expect to be jipped but we were not; Fritto Misto - not worth it. Good but not worth the calories considering how good everything else was. For our entrees a lot of people order the same thing - Creole BBQ Shrimp, they all seemed to like it. I ordered the grilled Swordfish - holy cow this is awesome! It was so so good - I couldn't decide between the halibut and the swordfish so I had the server choose - woohoo glad she did. We didn't get dessert but we did notice how filled in the restaurant got when we were leaving. Our reservations were for 6, probably left around 745-8 and it seems to be a popular spot. I'd come back - it was delicious!

Really enjoyed Lure. Scallops were awesome. Drinks were great. Cooper was a great waiter. Highly recommend.

I had dinner alone at the bar. Two beers, an arugula salad with parmesan slices and a seafood broth for $55 with tip. The salad was super salty. Otherwise the taste was good. The seafood broth was super spicy (actually the accompanying bread had lots of chilly hidden in it). Hardly could eat it. Otherwise the taste was solid (good clams, overcooked fish). I should add that the interior of the place is rather nice and the service was good. It's a pity the food was disappointing.

I was in Atlanta for a few days and had a hankering for seafood. The concierge had only the usual cookie cutter recommendations but I saw this rated very high and it looked good. I was a bit concerned when the taxi driver had never heard of it. After that it was all uphill, place is lovely, sat at the bar and service was great in every way but the food was just perfect. Had steak tartare to start, perfect. Snapper entree is best I have ever had and I then had to have mint chocolate dessert which was fab. But the snapper is the bomb, hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Great restaurant with nice selection of seafood and great service. The octopus appetizer was the best. The sole entree was also very good. Definitely would go again.

The coliflor steak was great, the oysters and the scallops were amazing as well. Would definitely go back

We visited Lure for the first time before taking our daughter and friend to see Frozen at the Fox. The food was delicious, the drinks were yummy, and the staff was very attentive. Rodney, the GM, came out to talk to us after we were done eating. He took the time to make sure our meal was to our liking and we were happy with our service received. We highly recommend visiting. We will be back when we are in ATL visiting again.

What makes Lure is they do everything so well. From the design and ambiance to the overall service to the food. Our waiter knew the menu, described the dishes without a pause and an excellent job suggesting items. We had Cobia, trout and cioppino with everyone very pleased. Smoked fish appetizer was also excellent. This was a business meeting and it was quiet enough to have conversation but not intimate either.

We were here as part of a group but the food and service could not be beat. The calamari and hush puppies were exceptional appetizers and set the tone for the entire meal. I had a fish plate and it was as fresh as you could get., and my wife had beef The servers were very attentive and they made sure the drinks were always full and the plates were removed promptly. This is a quaint place near many hotels and well worth a visit.

Dishes were inventive, well-prepared, and fresh. Atmosphere was really "cool," for lack of a better word. Service was impeccable -- friendly, succinct, attentive at all the right times. Highly recommend this place for dinner with friends, but not so much for family. Leave the kiddos at home.

We started with clam chowder soup that was very good. We had filet of sole and the sirloin steak. Both amazing. The server was great. My only complaint was the only chardonnay they had by the glass was $16.00. We bought a bottle and split it.

From the greeting to the bartender, to the waiter and staff, they have top notch service. The food is great, I love seafood and maybe somethings are a bit on the higher end, you do get what you pay for. You nearly never have to wait for anything and the staff is not so bogged down that they aren't around or are rushed. I do love coming here, just wish I could afford it more.

After recommending this restaurant to some friends, we finally made here during a visit to Georgia. The restaurant has a great vibe and it makes you hope that the food is as good. This place did not disappoint. Our waitress Hannah was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable about the food and restaurant as a whole, making us feel comfortable. We started with cocktails and they were amazing as was the gumbo, clam chowder and broiled oysters. For the main dishes, we ordered the whole trout and catfish and both were prepared perfectly. The hush puppies were fantastic and the ginger cake was delicious to finish things off. Cannot wait to return. A must go-to if/when in the Atlanta area!

Food is always good and very fresh. I eat there often for lunch and they have great lunch specials for $12 which beats a cold sandwich and soda at other midtown restaurants. I have eaten there for dinner as well and the food is simply GOOD. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Lure was delicious. I had perfectly cooked salmon that had crispy skin, and my partner had scallops that were also cooked to perfection. The service was delightful and the patio has a lovely atmosphere in the middle of downtown Atlanta. Would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed dining at Lure. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere is sophisticated, and the courses arrive well presented and artistic.

We frequented Lure for years and always loved it. After a hiatus we were excited to return last night. The long list of a great variety of wines by the glass is gone.. so are the (once) excellent fish entrees and chowder. Our appetizers were over seasoned and aggressively spiced, ditto the mains. Slow service but I don't fault our server, she was hustling. I think the kitchen was backed up (at a 5:30 resv.) What Happened?

Enjoyed an early pre-theater dinner with friends. Before 6 special Hollywood oysters at $1 each were from Maryland and very good. Served with ketchup and horseradish to be blended to taste. Tasted my friends grilled whole trout which server filleted at the table. Perfectly cooked and could really taste the wood of the grill. Had roasted sea bass which was cooked perfectly and arrived warm and tasty. A top asparagus and carrot purée. Only disappointment was that the purée was cold at first taste, not room temp but cool. On other side it was a little warmer but that may be from the hot fish. I didn't return it but did mention it to the person (not out server) who happened to clear my dish. I was brought a comp mini dessert which was a nice touch. Restaurant has a comfortable vibe. Service a little inconsistent but friendly. I would return.

Good solid seafood. Convenient to all parts of midtown. Great service. Nice atmosphere. I will go back.

Our last night in Atlanta. We wanted to go someplace quiet for a good meal. Lure was perfect. Wait staff was attentive and fun. The menu had lots to choose from and didn’t disappoint. The tuna appetizer was excellent! The catfish was moist and not overbreaded. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and a cozy atmosphere. Would definitely come again!

We went here as a family to celebrate the graduation. There were eight of us and we ate brunch in the outside dining area. I had Trout which was very good. My sister had the French toast but she didn't like the way it was cooked and presented. Another family member had the Grilled cheese sandwich and loved it. The wine list was interesting but our waitress helped us makes some good selections. Overall the majority like their food and we all enjoyied the ambience .

Lure never disappoints. The Mother's Day selections were perfect, and Lure is one of the few special places that I am confident in taking my mother in Atlanta. Brunch here began a day that my mother raved about. Thank you.

I met a friend for dinner after work on a Tuesday and I was so annoyed about the parking that I totally forgot about the meal. I know it was good (just good) but nothing memorable.

First visit there where we tried the Crab Rangoon in a spicy pineapple sauce and 2 each of the fresh raw oysters (cost ranged from $1 to $3.50 each) with cocktail sauce and delicious shochu dipping sauce). For entrees we had the pan seared sole, grilled monkfish and clam chowder with scallop starters. We also tried vadalia onion hush puppies (little over fried but tasty). Everything was freshly prepared but the stars were the homemade sauces accompanying each plate. Wines by the glass were good and fresh cocktails were strong. Friendly staff.

The atmosphere was excellent. It was quiet and elegant. The clam chowder and gumbo was very good and the scallops were cooked perfectly. Overall a very good place to have dinner.

Awesome food we had the mahi mahi and seared salmon. Both were great and the coconut chiffon cake was wonderful. I recommend it if you want seafood and have a little extra to spend for a meal with higher expectations.

Concierge at the Four Seasons recommended Lure and it did not disappoint. The filet of sole was outstanding and the Grouper very good. Crab dip was high quality but the sauce covered the crab flavor a little too much for my liking. Service was very good and prices were fair for the high quality. Environment is casual yet classy, as well as charming. Would definitely return.

We loved the atmosphere at Lure and the ambiance of the outdoor patio seating area. Started with drinks at the bar (great craft cocktails and local beers) and then had raw oysters and octopus lettuce wraps on the patio. Oysters weren’t great and were $3 each, but the octopus was excellent. Service was just ok and menu was too limited for a higher rating.

Went for brunch, sat outside, Father's Day pre fixe deal, very nice ambiance, service, and food, had a great time. Service was exceptionally good at this price point. Patio is very nice. Has heaters for when it gets cooler (not now).

Server D was awesome. Blue crab dip was good. Beet salad was highlight of the meal and was like desert. I am a fish person and the swordfish was overcooked on on end and undercooked on the other end. I am not sure how that happens but was poorly prepared. On a Saturday night place was empty. Good atmosphere with pretty good wine selection. Would not go back.

My GF and I stopped by for a light bite on a Sat afternoon and the food, drinks and service were all outstanding. Strongly recommend the pork and octopus lettuce wraps! Would come back here again for sure.

The Lure has an excellent seafood oriented menu combined with great service. I enjoyed the clam chowder and the cobia. This is a great place whether you have a small group or large group which they handle very well.

First time at Lure. It is in a populat midtown area. Anyone who lives nearby should walk over to it. We drove and found a curbside parking place. There is Valet parking. The food is super, Wine list is a bit confusing, but our server, Amy, knew it well and offered us a taste of her suggestion, which was right on target. We will go again when we have a chance.

We were a big group & the restaurant had already a lot of guests , ours was a pre booked & preordered meal , but everything was sloppy & much below expectations

Excellent restaurant to visit while in Atlanta. We came on a Tuesday evening and there was no wait at 6pm. The service was quick and accurate. Waiter made excellent recommendations and was exceptionally friendly. (Wish i could have remembered her name.) The food was absolutely delish and drinks were super yummy and tasty. The Commissioner cocktail and Carpaccio appetizers are must! Dont leave without having one or three of each :) I hd the grilled salmon and when i asked her how present was the peach flavor, bc i wanted a lot of it, she went out of her way to make the message clear to the cook without me even asking her to. It came back as perfection. Atlanta doesnt play with tasteless peaches, they were yum!! Also had the Peach Trifle and ugh! I wish i had more space in my stomach! Decor was chic and location was easy to access. Can’t wait to come back again.

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner at Lure. Fresh oysters, scallops, ice cream, cocktails. Everything was great. As an even added bonus, we loved our server. She was perfect. We picked this restaurant at random the week before, but it will be a destination next time!

I celebrated my birthday here on Saturday and had a party of 7. Courtney was our server and he was absolutely EXCELLENT! Champagne for all of my guest and a special birthday dessert for me! Not ever crowded, food comes quickly and everything tastes amazing! Oysters, pasta, crab dip, sea bass, dumplings, hush puppies. Just perfect really 10/10!

Lure turned out to be one of the best dining recommendations we received during our Atlanta stay. From our fabulous octopus and pork appetizer, a unique house specialty, to the whole grilled trout (beautifully deboned tableside) the food was spectacular. Do not miss the french fries, which were definitely fresh, not frozen. A must have is the house made gelato. We had the chocolate hazelnut which came with salted toffee bits....exquisite. Our server, Amy, was attentive, caring and professional. Lure should not be missed if you love fish.

Oh my goodness-would never would have thought we’d find this cute little place in the middle of the concrete jungle of Atlanta. The patio was simply beautiful and perfect for dinner. Their menu though was why we came. The fresh seafood options were phenomenal-from the oysters to the tuna tartare. Everything was delicious. We had the pleasure of having Wazi as our server-who was so knowledgeable of the menu after only being on the team a short time and friendly-everything was done with a smile! Rodney also stopped by a few times to help us with some confusion with our wine. He shared more about the restaurant and his philosophy on creating amazing experiences for guests. Please stop by, if not for the food, to say hello to these two wonder people!

Everything we ordered was well prepared and tasty. Cocktails were well made and creative. Fried crueller dessert was a nice surprise. Loved the lobster tamale too.

Looked for some place special for celebrating and was not dissapointed. The bartender -starting with pre-dinner drink - was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. Equally our waiter patiently explained menu and concurred with our choices. The Vietnam themed octopus/pork wrap was wonderful and a must try. The trout was ample sized, perfectly cooked and expertly de-boned tableside. Likewise the grouper was excellent. The restaurant also provided several personal touches making for a great evening. Can't wait to get back to try other menu items.

Circumstance had me eating here twice on consecutive nights. I found an inviting atmosphere with personal but not over the top service each time. There is a full menu of seafood options. I found the hors d'oeuvres and the clam chowder to be disappointing. The entrees however were excellent, fresh and well prepared each time. Swordfish and halibut were each excellent although the preparations were very different. It is a good option for a business dinner and it was not too difficult to get a table. I thought prices were very reasonable and overall a good dining value.

Located in Atlanta's upscale and bustling Midtown area, we really enjoyed our meal here. We didn't have a reservation but was able to get in early on a Saturday night (about 5:45) without a wait or a reservation. By the time we left (after 7), it was quite a wait. There is a large covered outdoor dining area and an inside dining area. While we were there, the weather was perfect, but I believe they can convert the outdoor dining area into an enclosed area during poor weather. The menu is not large. Contains about 10 to 12 entrees with one of the entrees being a steak another being a chicken dish, and the rest are fish. Not being a huge fan of fish, I went with the crispy half chicken, which was delicious. My wife had the seafood stew, which was tremendous. The coconut broth combined with the shrimp, mussels, and fish made me a fan and my wife loved every minute of the dish. Only miss was the side of hushpuppies we ordered, which were overdone. One thing we missed was the valet and it ended up costing us. There is valet parking in an alley next to the restaurant for $5. There was no sign for the valet off Crescent, so we missed it and ended up apying $20 to park in the large garage across the street.

I paid $83 for single meal and it was the worst fish I’ve had ever. The roasted rockfish was roasted to a burnt, tasteless hash

Great food, awesome service. Ashley was the bomb! Loved everything! Scallops and oysters were great !

I just dined here solo, being in town on business. I sat at the bar. The waitpwrson was delightful, attentive without being overbearing, helpful while not being pushy. I ordered the salmon, which was cooked to perfection. There is nothing I could honestly complain about. The Hawwaiian dinner rolls are simply delicious. Based on my experience, you should have a lovely meal here. I give an unqualified recommendation of this restaurant.

Lure has such a nice atmosphere. My waiter and the other staff were all very pleasant and friendly. It seemed so promising. What a disappointment that there was literally zero shrimp or crab in my gumbo. I searched my bowl in bewilderment and asked my waiter. (It said shrimp and crab on the menu) What the heck?! They were nice and brought me a new bowl, but still nothing. Unless they puréed the seafood, there was none to be found. Too bad. I really wanted to love this place. I won’t be back. 🙁

We went for my birthday. I loved the design and feel of the restaurant. It was pretty quiet and a nice little romantic dinner. We chose to eat tapas style so we ordered several appetizers/sides and a meal to share. Everything was delicious. We tried several of their oysters on the half shell, all were delicious. Both the grilled octopus with pork lettuce wraps and hush puppies were fantastic. The meal we shared was the Georges Banks Sea Scallops with the potato salad which was to die for. Highly recommended for a date night. Dress seemed to be more business casual.

Lovely dinner - one of the best on our 2 week holiday. Starter of selection of smoked fish - salmon, trout and scallops followed by a fish stew. The waiting staff were really helpful and responded quickly to a bad glass of wine. Great wine list. Highly recommend.

Every time I visit Atlanta, I want to eat at Lure. I have been with a friend, plus a large group. Each meal was delicious. For my last visit, I chose the sole. The fish was perfectly cooked as were the green beans. The green beans had small pieces of pork belly that added great flavor to an ordinary vegetable. I also ordered the shrimp cocktail. The appetizer came with a very good cocktail sauce with plenty of horseradish. I could have eaten two orders. My friend and I shared a buttermilk glazed donut with a cranberry, pear, apple compote, and ice cream. The dessert was very good.

Wide variety of fresh oysters (cold water Massachusetts better than warner water Va or gulf in my opinion) and Block Island swordfish rival any I've had. Blueberry pie with five spice ice cream as good as dessert comes.

Exceptional dining experience. My Birthday- Foodie weekend celebration started with this restaurant for dinner. If my pockets could afford it, I would eat here once a week or at least 3 times every menu change. The greeters at the front, so solicitous, you could not ask for better. Meghan, Meghan, Meghan our server! She did that and so much more. She was professional, efficient, and mindful without being annoying. She acknowledged our reservation notes and celebrated my Birthday with a Yum desert. Meghan knew that menu as if she had tasted everything herself and watched the Chef's prepare the dishes on numerous occasions. Meghan educated and described ingredients that were unknown to us of ingredients that we had never tried before. She likened ingredients to other ingredients more commonly known. Screaming the Bread!!! Here are our choices: Applewood Smoked Trout Pate, Broiled Oysters (more to the name; get 12ea straight of the bat), Grilled Block Island Swordfish, NY Strip w/side of Spinach. Everything was plated well. The dishes were hot and the hot cast iron plates they placed on top of those heated plates were everything! Our food stayed hot through to the last bite and all the hmm, mmhh conversation. Drinks - I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinking, my husband not so much. Meghan based on our input recommended a drink for us that was not on the current menu. It's called a Breaking & Entering. What!! We were both buzzing and had not made it past 1/3rd of the drink. It was sooo good. It went well with the meal; desert even the water with lemon we consumed. I've reviewed quite a few places on Open Table and Trip Advisor and very few have I unequivocally raved about. Lure is now joining that small list.

To be fair, this was a special prix fixe event with a limited seating arrangement, but despite it being our first time, the couple we went with had been there before and knew some of the other couples who also were return patrons. The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the reasonableness of the prices. It’s not cheap, but with an extensive wine list, this little restaurant delivers for a hip in-town seafood place

Solo traveler, sat at the bar for dinner. They had no issues with me being solo and sitting at the bar to eat. The bartenders were busy yet completely on top of my service. The cocktails fall into the "craftier" category and the few that I sampled were excellent. I stuck with some appetizers for dinner and the one I read about before going was the octopus and pork wraps. I thought it was good, and definitely a great concept for a dish, but it was just missing that something special. I loved the lettuce options they give you on the plate, including mint leaves! I wasn't disappointed by any means, just wasn't blown away based on my expectations. That being said, everything else I experienced here makes this a definite recommendation and I would go back the next time I'm in Atlanta without question.

We arrived early and sat at the bar until dinner time had arrived. We had a bottle of Elk Cove Pinot Gris and calamari. Both excellent choices. When dinner arrived we chose a bottle of Sancerre 2015 paired with Amberjack and Grouper. Only recommendation would be to cook the polenta a little longer. We split a blackberry cheesecake which was very well done.

Great restaurant and tastefully decorated. The service is very friendly and attentive. As a starter we had oysters, which everyone liked very much. As main course we had steak with frieze as well as sea bass. Everything was tastefully very well coordinated and nicely arranged. The wine list also gives a lot away. Value for money is right in this restaurant. We had a great evening and can clearly recommend it.

Excellent service and great seafood. The staff were excellent and made great recommendations with respect to the menu.

Excellent oysters. Plenty of horseradish too! Good breaded sole. Lively atmosphere although if a large group might be hard to hear easily. Friendly service.

We loved the food, service, and ambiance at Lure. It's definitely a must visit in midtown. They also have a great oyster selection. We'll be making our way back soon!

We were staying in midtown over night and decided to try Lure. The experience was fantastic. Our appetizers included the octopus/pork, the tuna poke, the calamari, and fresh oysters. All were delicious. We then split an entree of the sea scallops which were cooked to perfection. The home made ice cream desserts finished of a wonderful meal.

Gluten free menu advertised wrong, brought double of the appetizer, poor tasting fish and very weak service, wouldn’t recommend

Waited over 30 minutes for a to go dessert. Makes you wonder how long you would have to wait for a swordfish or grouper???? Come here only if you don’t have anything else to do or anywhere else to be. This was a complete waste of time !

After reading several reviews we chose this restaurant for dinner. We were not disappointed. Lure is conveniently located just a few walking blocks from Woodruff Arts Center and the High Museum. We were fortunate to get street parking but there is valet parking located down a small alley just to the right of the restaurant as you face the entrance. There is a lively buzz and energy in this restaurant-sometimes loud--especially if you are seated inside (vs on the enclosed patio where its a little quieter). I liked the dark wood maritine motif and lighting of this restaurant... Service was good and our knowledgable server was very familiar with the menu. It seemed that staff worked well together...things seemed synchronized. the dishes on the menu had a creative twist...not your run of the mill menu. The octopus & pork lettuce wraps were excellent and would recommend. baked crab dip and the brussels sprouts were also excellent appetizers. We very much enjoyed entrees crab fried rice as well as trout (fileted at the table for us). The sole with capers on a generous bed of spinach was also very good. Food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will return.

We’ve been coming here since it opened years ago.. when there were choices like a fried catfish platter with fries, slaw and hush puppies. Fifth Group decided long ago that for some reason this would not be the future here. So they have indeed tweaked the place a number of times… but this version is.. well..odd. For example, do you really want to start with the Penicillin cocktail or the Supressor Spritz ? How about veggie sides… they’re in the From the Soil section. Saying “Sides” is so not cool anymore. Can’t decide which fish entree to order ? No problem… of the five available entrees in total, you can either get Seabass or Wild Saba … yes…here at the fish place. The other three entrees are chicken, pork and steak ? We had the crab toastie app; where’s the crab .. somewhere in there with the avocado and brioche ? The Wagyu Steak Frittes was ok but we really weren’t expecting to resort to that for the entree. My fantasy is that Fifth Group does a retro reimagination and imagines a menu that looks like a seafood place. The place looks like a seafood place, but the menu doesn’t. BTW, you can now get half price bottles of wine on Friday and Saturday nights. Go figure.

Lure is a unique dining experience in downtown Atlanta. The menu is short, but has delicious appetizers or small plates, and unique main dishes. The atmosphere is comfortable and the waitstaff were very efficient and friendly. Extremely enjoyable. I would return here.

I was having dinner with a couple of co-workers and we originally were going to the Southern Kitchen but he wait was 2 hours. So we walked a few doors down and found Lure. The wait for a table wold have been 90 minutes but the bar was not crowded and we got seats at the bar for dinner with drinks. The lettuce wrapped octopus and pork appetizer was the best! Got to have that if you're going there.

Shrimp cocktail was good [we shared it]. My Sole was small and over powered by the ‘crust’. Sue had the Monkfish which was much better. But we did share a huge, world class chocolate desert which alone scored 10/10. It’s worth repeating – that desert was superb and worth the visit alone! Please don’t be tempted to change it! Service friendly and good.

Perfect anniversary dinner at Lure. The service and food were both great. Our waitress, Q, took excellent care of us. Our reservation was late and the restaurant was closing within an hour of our arrival, so I was afraid of being rushed. The opposite happened. Perfect patio, great service, and delicious food. Thanks Q, and thanks Lure!

Good food. The staff is always smiling. The place does it right every time. I have been here before and it was just as good. They know how to make a good meal every time

First the food; My wife raved about her ceviche and her fish stew. My scallops were quite good - cooked properly, not overdone, no raw center. Dessert - chocolate mint cake with ice cream was one of the better desserts we have had recently. BUT the entre menu was quite limited. The wine list was quite good, both broad and deep with nothing excessive. BUT my shiraz arrived "chilled", their wines aren't around long enough to require cool storage, maybe it was a concession so the wine didn't overpower the food. My wife's LBV port was also chilled, and full of sediment (they did comp us on the glass when we showed the sediment). The place was busy, and noisy. For those of us with slight hearing impairment it was hard to hold a private conversation. Parking ...... it's midtown ATL, parking is a problem If it wasn't for chilling wines that should not be chilled, this rating could be a "4"

We had an excellent dinner tonight. It was a group of five and it was a work dinner. We loved our drinks and our appetizers were delicious and our favorite was the octopus lettuce wraps. Two of us ordered steel head trout which was amazing, two of us ordered the scallops, and one of us got the lobster roll with the old Bay fries. I can tell you the old Bay fries were some of the best fries I’ve had in a while. We split three desserts the coconut snowball, upside down apple cake, and the mint chocolate cake which was my favorite. Our server Roman was very attentive and we all agreed we would come back anytime. Looking forward to my next visit. If they serve breakfast during the week we would be back for breakfast tomorrow.

First greeting was warm and friendly. Our server Mary was the best from beginning to end. Fantastic recommendation on wine for our dinner choice. Service was impeccable. Attentive and professional. The atmosphere was also great for conversation and enjoying our wine. Ordered the oysters. And the fried calamari!! Both great choices. Would like to have had the sauce on the side for the calamari. (Hint) for next time. For our main course we had 2 excellent dinners. Cacciucco seafood stew with wild Georgia shrimp clams and tomato brodetto. It was scrumptious! But the winning dish was the whole roasted trout. With arugula salad. The fresh fish and seasoning was the winner of the night! Finished with mint chocolate cake julep angel aisle, hot fudge mint chip ice cream and chocolate covered Kix. Perfect date night!! Thank you Mary for the best service. As well as the manager Beth Stewart making sure our dining experience was to our liking. Great night thank you.

The restaurant is open and airy and has a rustic meets industrial modern decor. Patio seating also available. It has a nice bar and good craft cocktail and wine list. I started with the roasted squash salad with pumpkin seeds, arugula, ricotta and nutmeg. The squash was slightly warm and it carried slight tang from the citrus vinaigrette - the flavor sand portion size was well balanced. Next I had 3 broiled oysters with bacon bits, pieces of crawfish, toasted Parmesan breadcrumbs and a cider hot sauce. The oysters were a little on the small side but the topping had the right amount so as not to overpower the oyster flavor and the cider hot sauce was the kicker! It was so flavorful but not overly spicy. I had the seared cauliflower steak as my entree. It came with 3 sauces - a poblano pistachio sauce, a local yogurt and cauliflower chutney. On the advice of the server I mixed all three and it was amazing. The cauliflower was well cooked - a little crispy on the outside but cooked through all way without being mushy. Server was very attentive but not intrusive or pushy. Highly recommend Lure.

A bit in the pricier range, but definitely worth it. Excellent food and ambience, and we loved our host Malaika :-) We‘ll be back here on our next Atlanta trip.

We had heard this was a nice restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. Our server, Daniel was so friendly and nice. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very nice. Food portions were large so be aware. Although this restaurant is five years old it seems to be much younger and modern. Dress was casual but everyone looked very nice. The bar was large enough for a nice group of people and dining was very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

I ordered 1/2 dozen oysters and they charged me for 7. Like they were doing me a Favour. Stick to you service. The atmosphere and experience were horrible.

Visited here for brunch before leaving for the airport. Booked ahead as we were a group of 6 plus a baby so wanted a guaranteed table. Roman took great care of us, had one gluten free diner and he and the chef were very accommodating. Food and drinks were delicious.

We had a group of 5 for dinner on a Monday night. The food was ok, the portions were ok, the prices were a little high but ok, the beer selection was ok. The server, Maria, was nice and friendly. It seemed like they were trying to be a 5 star dinning experience without the great food. It was just ok.

We had two adults and two teenagers, and only one adult loves seafood, but all four of us loved our meal here. The favorite dishes were the grilled octopus, the Vidalia onion hush puppies, the salmon and the seafood stew. We ordered a lot of food and loved it all. Even the crispy saffron cauliflower impressed my steak and potato-loving husband. Montrez our server was great - listen to his recommendations because he knows what’s good. Don’t forget to try the chocolate cake and Alaska layer cake - they were amazing.

My cousin and I recently went to brunch here and we really enjoyed it. I would be back again for brunch or another meal option. We made reservations via OpenTable about 30 mins before coming in. We got there about 5 minutes early for our 1:45 reservation on a Sunday and were immediately seated. It was not crowded when we arrived but got a little busier as time went on. Everything on the brunch menu looked delicious and it was hard to choose but we did and we were very happy with our choices! We started with the crab dip poutine style. This was delicious! I don't remember tasting much crab but still delicious and I would get again. I would describe as comfort food and I was day dreaming about it the next day. I got the Angler's Breakfast for my entree after seeing someone else with it. It was very good, did not seem as heavy as some of the other options. I would likely try something different on my next visit (I will be back). My cousin got the Seared Scallops which were so good! I believe it came with three griddle cakes, she shared a whole one with me and still had some left over. Normally I would not think to pair scallops with pancakes but this really worked! Would try again if not trying something new. We had the peach zinger punch bowl which was good and lasted throughout brunch. I did not feel much of a buzz. Before leaving I ordered an Irish coffee which was delightful and my cousin an espresso. John was our server and he was great! He answered all our questions and did not have an issue when I decided to change my entree choice a few minutes after ordering, when asked his response was "of course!". He was very eager to please as were the other workers. Everyone was very pleasant and the service was great. There is a patio and I believe outdoor seating but it was very cold that day so we sat in the main dining room which is a pretty good size and bigger than you would think from the outside. There was also a nice bar. I would definitely recommend and go back again!

Great kitchen, lots of flavours well prepaired great service quiet and romantic We were friends with a one and a half year old -they were very much baby friendly For those who appreciate fish and vegtables

We asked our daughter to pick out a restaurant in Mid town Atlanta. She picked Lure on Crescent because it was a fish restaurant and she likes fish. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor and the food. I have to recommend the hush puppies and sole. Also highly recommend Josh, our waiter. He was amazing and funny.

this is always a great meal! wonderful service in a fun restaurant setting. the sole is delicious! you can't go wrong with any of the dishes though

Service, food and the view is what made our dinning experience here great. Just a word to the wise when ordering the whole lobster it was served with all the green yuks inside of it, not recommended.

Good food, friendly staff, good service and good atmosphere. What more can yo ask for from a dining experience? Atlanta has some good food and this place is at the top of my list. Enjoy!

As you walk in there is a fantastic bar and we were immediately attended to. We sat on the patio (highly recommend). They serve the best, cold oysters & large shrimp for Happy Hour! The octopus wrap was so, so good as were the broiled oysters. The cocktails are unique, order the Micha Caliente. Their Shaolin Punch Vodka is actually served in silver punch bowls! The wine list is extensive. This is the perfect place for couples or a group. Our server, Amy was always there when we needed her whether it was to refill drinks or offer us clean plates for our next eating adventure. And, oh they just added a cheeseburger to the menu that was one of the best I've eaten.

Weekend brunch in the patio was pleasant and very tasty. Delightfully friendly waiter, and all dishes were VERY good: excellent Georgia shrimps and grits (17$), and simple but very satisfying trout (12$). Highly recommended!

We chose Lure for a business dinner and despite several changes and an ultimately smaller group than planned, the staff and manager were extremely gracious. The service hit that nice balance between attentive and not rushing us and the food was well-prepared and tasty. I would absolutely return.

First of all the bar has an extensive wine list. The side of brussel sprouts as an appetizer was so delightful. My guest had the catfish, which was perfectly fried. The cauliflower steak was wonderful. Cannot wait til business takes me back to ATL!

What an amazing meal. We were all in a food coma! We started with drinks at the bar and sat outside. Fans kept us cool. Our server JP was very helpful for my friend with a gluten allergy. The food was killer, especially the salmon and lobster mac.

I love seafood and this place is perfect when I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for because I know anything I get is going to be good. My most recent visit I wanted to try something new so I tried the roasted cobia, which was delicious as expected. Make sure to try to take each bite with the mushrooms that come with that dish. That flavor profile is...just yum! Usually I order the trout which is still my favorite. To me the salmon is good but not great, however my friend really loved it. The scallops, yes. The baked crab dip is good but you may need extra bread if you have a bread addiction like me. Try this place out! You will not be disappointed......unless you have no tastebuds, then maybe you will. Haha

Eat here regularly, One of the best places to eat in Midtown. The cauliflower dish is excellent, fish is always good as well.

Lure proved to be a surprisingly refreshing choice for a rainy midtown pre-concert dinner. Comprehensive wine selection with several regional choices paired well with many delicious seafood choices. We opted for oysters on the half shell, octopus lettuce wraps with fresh herbs and udon noodles, clam chowder with a kick and a peppery arugula salad perfectly dressed. We were very well taken care of by Amy, who was helpful, attentive and had some great menu suggestions. We will return.

Food was good. Sole fish was pretty good. First time having it. It taste like a whiting fish but better. Swordfish mostly like swordfish as well as scallops. Atmosphere is cool. Good for trendy or business crowd.

Nice little spot in Midtown Atlanta. Went for a birthday. Somewhat limited appetizer selection if you don't like oysters. All our food was good. I actually liked my sides more than the main dish. Drinks: Tasty but slightly on the lighter side. Got a small punch bowl (pictured) peachy zinger. Food: Potatoes and Green Beans were very good. The Cobia was good, but it wasn't anything amazing and a little too much on the mushroom taste. Overall I would probably come again for an event but not first on my list.

We dined early (5:30pm) because we wanted a leisurely meal before a show at the at The Atlanta Symphony and we couldn't have been more thrilled. Justin, our waiter, was friendly, knowledgeable and helped us navigate their wine list which is filled with many distinctive and unique wines. We started with a selection of oysters and the fried calamari (which is NOT the usual calamari it includes fennel, lemon, scallions) and the Roasted Cobia was amazing. Try to leave room for dessert - we shared the diner pie- amazing! One more tip - if it's just two of you and arrive early you might get seated at tables 31 or 32...definitely the best two tops in the house :)! And PS...I have no idea what that photo fried fish in a basket is - our meal was elegantly presented and certainly not on paper in a plastic basket!

Last year I reviewed this as one of the best meals I had ever had. This time one of the worst. We won't ever come back. First our meal took over an hour to come after we ordered it. We were so hungry we were about ready to leave. So my friends meal arrives finally. Mine doesn't come. There are only two of us, not like a lot of people at our table. She politely waits to eat hers - to the point hers gets cold . i tell her to go ahead and eat . I have to ask three people about the whereabouts of my meal. She is almost finished with her meal. i am ready to tell them to cancel mine it is so ridiculous. so finally the meal arrives. my steak was ice cold. not just cold. like it had been sitting there for at least a half hour. (which it probably was) so they whisk it away and remake it quickly. once it comes it is fine. but now my dinner partner is just sitting there watching me eat. while we were waiting for our food the bartender tops off our wine apologizing for the wait. we thought she was doing it as an apology. neither of us asked for more wine. then we get our bill and we were charged for it. poor service cold food won't come back here..

Enjoyed the decor and atmosphere at Lure. My friends and I started off with a punchbowl (drink), which was delicious and smooth. The fish I order was great, accompanied with the rice and chorizo. I also got to try the scallops, which were delicious. Great service from our waiter!

After the High Museum visit our delicious lunch at Lure made it a perfect day. The interior design is so different and the wait staff knowledgeable that returning is a must. The meal was so tasty and that is the main reason for our return. Great meal in a funky atmosphere.

Lure is a charming restaurant in Midtown Atlanta with an emphasis on fish. It does have one meat and one chicken dish as well as vegetarian selection. The cobia dish I had tonight was delicious, well prepared and plated very nicely. The squash salad was a treat, different from just a plain salad.

Went here because the place we wanted to go had a 45 minute wait. This was probably one of the best meals I have EVER had. I ordered a ribeye steak, my friend ordered salmon. Both of us LOVED our dinner. We started with a great salad and the crab dip both were great. We had a nice bottle of chianti. I had the ribeye steak with oyster butter (i don't like oysters - but did not taste like oysters...._ might have been one of the best steaks I have ever had. and the potatoes were to die for. OMG. a meal in themselves. we finished it off with a scoop of their home made ice cream. Our waiter Justin was perfect. this was an amazing meal. i will for sure come back here. lovely neighborhood to walk in too.

We were first seated on the patio as it was a beautiful night. However we quickly requested a seat inside as the restaurant next door is pet and music friendly and a bit too loud. We waited and waited and when the people seated after us had water and placed drink orders we complained to the host. Our waiter did not answer my question, where were you? It must have been a mix up and our service improved immediately. We had the popovers as an appetizer and i tried the mixed drink commissioner. Both very good as was my catfish dinner. Alls well that end well.

Its a little pricey, but awfully good. The calamari is a must if you want to get an appetizer. Wife loved the cauliflower steak.

Wonderful meal here. I had the scallops and asparagus. Had the yellowtail ceviche for appetizer. All were wonderful!

I love walking into a restaurant and being seated promptly at the time of your reservation. Requested a quiet booth, and was seated in a quiet booth, that’s the way it’s supposed to work, right? The only reason I am giving this restaurant a 4 rather than a 5, I've never had my appetizer come to the table before my cocktails. It seems an additional bar tender is needed. Our waitress was delightful and promised the drinks would be up shortly. This seafood restaurant has a wide variety of thoughtful dishes in every category. For appetizers we ordered from the raw menu - Yellowfin Tuna pear, burnt orange, yum yum. The tuna was fresh and paired perfectly with the pear and yum yum. The shrimp and crab gumbo had the perfect amount of heat. For entrees we tried the Cacciucco Seafood Stew Georgia wild shrimp, fin fish, clams, tomato brodetto, grilled bread and the Cauliflower Steak. The stew was loaded with seafood, the grilled bread perfect for dipping. The Cauliflower steak came with three different prepared dipping sauces. As a vegetarian I truly appreciated having a dish to order rather than choosing from sides as with so many restaurants. We normally forgo desserts but seeing the Chocolate Layer Cake salted caramel, chocolate pudding, chocolate malted rice crunch delivered to the table next to us put us over the top. The salted caramel poured over the layer cake is divine. The restaurant offered a nice wine list and house specialty cocktails. My only suggestion for this restaurant would be to get rid of the “crowd” size fish bowl drinks. For an upscale restaurant, the tables drinking the fish bowl cocktails were very loud and took away from the nice ambiance of the restaurant. I was very thankful our table was not in the center of the room, we enjoy conversation over dinner.

We wanted a good seafood restaurant for a small work-group, did some searching and discovered Lure. It did not disappoint! Apps, entrees and dessert were all spot-on and delicious. Service was great as were the portions. I highly recommend checking it out!

I had dinner at Lure recently with my family. The restaurant is very nice and the food excellent. But the service went over the line into pushy. The server asked about drinks multiple times, recommended drinks on the specialty drink menu (the expensive ones, of course), almost insisted we order appetizers and asked about drink refills well before drinks were empty. Yet when we needed to find him after the food arrived, he was nowhere to be seen. I don't mind a bit of suggestive selling and understand that this is how restaurants encourage patrons to order more, but when you are not looking for such guidance they should know to back off. It was just pushy. Anyway, I would still recommend the restaurant, but be prepared to fend off the server who tries to push extra food and drinks on you.

We love Lure. It never disappoints us. The food is outstanding and the service is inviting and pleasant. The oysters are always fresh and delicious and our entrees were amazing last night. I had the trout and it was perfection. The dessert was delicious as well.

Our family celebrated a graduation dinner here and were greatly impressed. Service was great and the seafood and fish fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the oysters. The trout was excellent. I’m usually hesitant to order trout because it can be fishy if not perfectly fresh and well prepared. This was both fresh and perfectly cooked. My husband reported his swordfish was also very tasty. Other members of our 10 person party all reported good well cooked entrees. Cocktails were also quite special. Our non seafood diners also enjoyed the chicken and risotto. Would definitely return. FYI: parking nearby in lot across the street is easy and convenient.

We went to Lure for our anniversary. We decided to order a bunch of appetizers, rather than entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious. Ingredients were fresh and inventive and the presentation was great. We had absolutely impeccable service. Our waiter was really good, made great recommendations and had the perfect level of attentiveness. We look forward to going back.

Lure is the place for seafood in Midtown Atlanta! Very nice outside seating, a great wine list and so delicious entree’s!! Try the Louisiana Cstfish!!!

Staying in Atlanta for a few days and was recommended Lure by our hotel. Hugely disappointed at both the service and food. Service was extremely slow and inattentive regarding the food the shrimp cocktail was good but the scallops were very disappointing as they were covered in a pineapple/fruit coulis that just completely overpowered the delicate flavour of the scallops.

Tasty, upmarket meal. Lovely food, good portions but not massive (so we were able to have 2 courses and share pudding) friendly service and strong cocktails.

We went to Lure for a simple family get together. We were surprised how disrespectful the host, Ernie treated us. If fact we were the first group checked in and he seated two groups before us. When asked he snapped 'I'm seating the 5:30 and 5:45 reservations." We had a 5:30 reservation. After we were seated by someone else. the service was good and the food was good, but cold. This was not a memorable dining experience

The grilled whole fish was tasty!. They offer their service to remove the fish bone, which we enjoyed watching. The mahi fish dish was delicious too. However, the music was loud for me so next time I will reserve to sit at the patios.

Although it does feel a bit like a chain (it is part of the Fifth Group with the likes of nearby South City & Ecco) and carries a bit of the "clean" of that type of restaurant, the fresh fish options in this midtown eatery are quite nice.... and on a fall or spring evening, it is a super meal out on the front patio - small, but nice. For starters, try the Yellowfin Tuna and main go with the monkfish. While I was originally cautious of the "fennel" on the monkfish, it was nice and light. There are a number of good options for cocktails and/or wine, including a number of nice options by the glass. And don't forget (as others have mentioned) desert as the chocolate layer cake was very good. Service was good (not great) but the quality of the meal was certainly something to note.

We went before going to the 8:00 performance at the Symphony. So, focused on appetizers. The clam chowder was wonderful. I'd double the order next time. The gumbo was thin. I am from New Orleans and make a pretty good gumbo. This was just not there. The Smoked Fish appetizer was very good - could have used a few more crackers. The Oyster/Crayfish combo was something I would not order.

Wow I am blown away!!! I was so upset we forgot reserve seats at South City Kitchen. The lady recommended LURE and I am blown away. Our waitress, Erin, was bomb.com. She’s super sweet and all of her recommendations were on point! She recommended the fried oyster appetizer- out of this world amazing! Their Crab dip, steak & potatoes meal will not disappoint. Don’t forget the punch bowls! We ordered 3 and they’re hugggggggeeeeeee! The Shaolin punch is delicious and freshening. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. We’re from in town for a girls weekend from Baltimore, NY and DE, we will def be coming back to see Erin, grab a punch bowl and enjoy life!

I stayed around the corner so I looked online for something nearby. I was VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED with the unique flavors and very high quality of the food. It was my first night and I considered myself lucky. I had a drink at the bar and it was amazing too! It will be my first stop the next time I'm in Midtown Atlanta.

Great atmosphere, great food, drinks, homemade desserts. We went on Sunday and the crowd was low, which to me was perfect. We did pass it by on a Saturday evening and it was full. So reservations probably recommended on the weekend nights.

Delicious food with a wide variety of flavors (and proteins)! Particularly enjoyed staring with the Alligator Gumbo . The scallops are pork belly were also divine. Will definitely be back.

The pan fried halibut over spinach is just incredible. Highly recommended. Pair it with the smoked fish spread appetizer to share.

I had dinner last Tuesday night at Lure. It had been recommended by a client. We had a group of five people for a business dinner. The food was good and the service was ok.' After dinner I stopped in the men's room before catching a cab back to the hotel. While I was washing my hands a young man on the restaurant staff left the stall ( hopper) and the bathroom without washing his hands. I was shocked. Before I left the restaurant, I asked to speak to the manager. He was a young man also. I explained what had happened to him and identified the employee but neither received an apology or a promise that he would look into the situation. He just stood there and listened to me. Afterwards, I left the restaurant and informed my colleagues and clients since they wanted to know why I was late leaving. They all told me they were glad I reported the incident. Needless to say, I will not go back. This was the first time I think I have ever seen this happen. I cannot say I will return.

Went to this place based on hotel recommendation. And truly enjoyed the dishes especially the grilled octopus entree which was a Vietnamese twist to a Greek entree As for the fish the sole in brown butter was spot on Lovely place and great service

We had a large party - colleagues in Atlanta for a conference. Overall a good restaurant but some of the dishes underwhelming. The clam chowder had an odd flavor in it. The various mains - like scallops or Trout were very good but had really bitter/peppery greens/veggies that was a bit of a distraction. The punch bowls were fun/good for a large group. The deserts were very good - chocolate cake with mint ice cream and almond doughnut with cherry ice cream both very good. Service was excellent. Overall a good restaurant- reasonably priced with great service.

Great food and service. We enjoyed the octopus and pork lettuce wraps, ribeye, fish stew and half chicken. All excellent. Good drinks. Service was knowledgable and food was delivered quickly from the kitchen. When in Atlanta again we will be back.

We are visiting Atlanta for #rotary17 convention. We loved the place, the food and everything. Strongly recommend it. Also the waitress Veronica was kind and helpful. Thank you Veronica.

If you like seafood this restaurant will satisfy your cravings. Variety is very good. The four of us each had something different and it was all very good. Highly recommended is the Sole and oysters for an appetizer. We recommend a reservation on weekends. Our server Daniel was excellent!

We came here for brunch as a party of 6. From the moment we walked in the service was exceptional. Everyone who came to our table was great. Amy was our waitress and we all commented on how great she was. Super sweet, made great recommendations, took care of us at every turn. We started with the crab dip, it was delicious and full of crab. The grilled octopus and pork lettuce wraps were delicious and came with fresh herbs to mix in the wrap. The landlubber was great and the chef did a fantastic job on everyone’s eggs. I had the flat iron steak and it was cooked perfectly. The portions were large, the prices were good, drinks were strong. We would definitely come back.

Met friends for drinks and dinner at this upscale but casual seafood spot. Service was friendly and attentive. Menu has many highlights. Drink list is solid. Certainly worth a visit

The food was excellent and very very fresh. The whole family was happy. I would recommend to anyone!

Delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere! Everything was great from appetizers to dessert. Our server, SJ, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made great suggestions. We will definitely be back!

Fresh food, impeccable service. We had guests with specific dietary issues (no salt) and they were happily accommodated. This is the place to go for fresh fish in Atlanta. There is indoor and outdoor covered terrace dining. Good wine and beer selection. Excellent desserts. Did we mention great service?

Do you really need anything else beyond good dinner companions? Enjoyed a post work dinner here and I did not even have a main course. Simply ate Appetizers. To be honest I like them better than what was offered as mains. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The wine list paired well the service team and our waiter specifically was great offering recommendations on wine and beer that paired with our meal. It's not cheap but it isn't a second mortgage like others in the neighborhood. Enjoy because I definitely did!!

Beyond the ambiance, beyond the comfortable bar (which would have been our chosen dining perch if we were a couple), beyond a compelling menu and the well-curated and well-priced wines, it was our waitress Maya, who would lure us back to Lure. And, generally, an exceptional service person is a sign of good management, so, I suspect, Maya was a good representation of the staff. From her sophisticated and knowledgeable description of the difference between an Italian and an Anderson Valley, CA, Pinot noir, to her guidance through the menu (without the need to tell us what she liked), to her willingness to provide special attention and preparation for the celiac among us, Maya was a shining star who was the frosting on a wonderful cake!

Lure never disappoints! Food is delicious and the service is always impeccable. For someone who watches carb intake, Lure's version of shrimp and grits is a welcome alternative. The cauliflower 'grits' are delicious and the entire dish is well done. If you splurge on dessert, try the Earl Grey sorbet. It is a unique flavor with a crispy almond brittle garnishing it. While we enjoy dinner at Lure, brunch is a pleasant experience. A nice mix of breakfast entrees (love the French toast) and non-breakfast items. They use Lavazza coffee making an outstanding cappuccino. It's the best in the neighborhood. Finally, the service is excellent. The servers anticipate your needs before you do and never hurry you. You can't miss with Lure!

10 of us met at Lure this past weekend. Great vibe inside, and there is a closed in patio. I don't drink, but everyone else did and no one had any complaints about the drinks. The service was great, our server was friendly, and the food was really good. I had the scallop dish with an appetizer of oysters. The menu is mostly seafood, with several choices. Definitely put it on your list.

This Friday evening was to be a very special evening and it started off so well. Arriving we were promptly seated and our waiter came quickly to get us started. The octopus & pork appetizer was excellent. He then took our order and disappeared. Actually he was told by the Mngr to take on a large party, and 'they' would take care of us. When the scallops arrived they were totally under cooked - so we sent them back asking them toss them in the skillet and make them medium, as ordered. Much later a new dish of them arrived, done medium. Sadly they were tasteless. And everyone else at our table was done, sitting and waiting for their dishes to be cleared. Them magically our MIA waiter reappeared. Luckily the check came quickly and we were free to escape.
Terrific Dinner
This casual seafood restaurant offers excellent food, a fine drink selection and fine ambience. I very much liked the salmon, along with the ceviche small plate. Service was first rate too.
