Authentic Thai food

By Joey |

Arrived at Los Angeles, and we wanted to eat some authentic food, not tourist trap restaurants that are so common near hotels. Ended up in Luv2Eat. It’s incredibly delicious and authentic. Don’t get fooled by the appearance of the place, it’s the food that matters. When in Hollywood, give it a try.

Brilliant Thai Food and Friendly Staff

By Gordon C |

This is a strip mall restaurant bit don't let that put you off. I came because of the Trip Advisor rating and it wasn't wrong!

Cute.

By Faustocapp |

We ate twice. Small but nice location run by young people. The Noodles excellent and highly recommended. The rest is average. They don't serve alcohol unfortunately

Great thai food

By Emma v |

The outside doesn’t look to attractive however inside we found friendly staff and great thai food with plenty off options. And for my friend real spicy food. We had a good one of our best meals here while in LA

Authentic Thai Food in LA!!!

By John O |

- An absolute gem hidden in L.A! Stumbled upon this resturarant by chance and happy I did. - Authentic Thai cuisine with fresh ingredients and spot-on on flavour and taste. Was not surprised to see this resturant appearing on Thai TV whilst eating there! Even went back 3 times. - Best Thai I've ever had; this coming from a guy who once lived in Thailand and went to a Thai culinary school in Bangkok! - Recommend the Blue Crab curry (not for the faint hearted) and the grilled beef salad/laab. - If you are big on authentic Thai cuisine, you will not be disappointed

Authentic Thai food for dinner

By niranram |

Went to this restaurant to try authentic Thai food. This is the best Thai food I have ever tasted in Los Angeles. I got the Phuket fish curry. Not much of dessert selections. It was a spicy curry by itself. Great customer service. The ambiance was okay. The good thing is there was a parking lot in front of the restaurant. So, you don't have to search for a public parking lot. Will definitely go there again and recommend this business.

Very Good Thai Food

By Masked-Caper |

One of the best Spicy Thai food you will find in LA. Service is typical asian service; rude sometimes but you dont go to such restaurants in strip malls for service. Very good tasty food though.

very, very S-p-i-c-y

By 3Kells |

This tiny hole-in-the-wall "bistro" is tucked in a strip mall right across from "Crossroads of the World." Use that as a guiding landmark or you could easily miss it. The taste of the Phuket style food is mostly decent but be forewarned about the spiciness. We learnt our lesson -- should have ordered "mild" version of everything. Check out the photos. Noted that the beansprouts & Basil had brown tips - yikes! Servers spoke English proficiently. To get to the restroom, you pass right through the kitchen. Watch your steps - slippery floors.

Authentic Thai

By wanderlust6277 |

What a great spot. This restaurant is hidden away in a little shopping center. I popped in because I felt like having a little curry. Best decision I could have made. The food was fresh and so flavorful and not Americanized. The spice was not muted to please the masses and that is so important when looking for authentic ethnic foods. Portions are good size and the prices are cheap. I will be back! FYI the 1 star review below is bogus. This establishment doesn't even have a bar.

Amazing, authentic and fun Thai food!

By nicolerO7952PF |

Wow this place is SO good! I saw it on a food show (“Worth It” maybe?) and I’m very glad I went when I was in LA! The fish cakes were superb and not too oily at all (as they often can be), and the sticky peanut sauce that came with them was to die for. As a main I had the “Shrimp Pad Prik King”. What a spicy treat! Literal perfection. You can tell this food is made with love and skill! Enjoyed the “pink milk” (Nom Yen) too!

Don't miss out!!

By billie298 |

Don't underestimate this place! I love somewhere fancy to eat, somewhere where I can dress up ect, but, I also appreciate good home made food. If you are looking for somewhere fancy to eat, not for you! If you are looking for home cooked, authentic food, this is the place! Located in a small little cafe/restaurant, to be honest you wouldn't think much if you walked by. But if, like my boyfriend and I you live by TripAdvisor, then you would give this place a go. Although, there are not many reviews even at this point on TripAdvisor, we still tried since there were enough decent reviews. We were not disappointed. I had a vegetarian noodle soup which was so amazing. The broth was so flavoursome and fulfilling that I could not get over it! Please give this place a go if you are in the area!!! Seriously. It is so good!

Excellent!

By Sarita C |

The Best Thai Food in the area! You have to try the fried chicken but be patient it will take about 20-25 mins hot and fresh. The Pineapple Fried rice is to die for.

Yummy

By Asta Z |

Very basic, but very yummy! food is good and price! service was pleasant too. would definitely come back and recommend!

Good Thai

By Bill H |

Do be cautious on the heat level. I asked for very, very mild and it was my maximum. A little store in a tacky strip mall but with a large menu and well prepared Thai.

Great food experience

By Franck P |

I was looking for a thai place, and it was already 10pm, found that place and just loved it. Food is great, very tasty, full of flavors!!! The restaurant is not the fanciest .....but who cares ...we're here for the food, right? I got myself some Roasted Duck Pineapple Curry, it comes with tomatoes, basil, potatoes , pineapple ....I added some brown rice, perfect combo. I highly recommend this place, and I'll come back there for sure!

Excellent Thai

By semanticvision |

Great Thai restaurant, be aware that they are very spicy. Authentic tastes of different specialties, the restaurant is small, but the flavors complex.

Tasty Thai cuisine

By MelvinPusfinger |

We stopped in this place on Sunset Boulevard which is a few blocks from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. The place is small and you might take it for simply another fast food place. However, you would be very much mistaken. This turned out to be a real treat and they serve up savory and delicious fare. Try the drunken noodles with chicken… simply scrumptious. The place was also very busy with mostly Asian patrons who knew a good place to get great Thai food. Is also vastly superior to the pricey places along Hollywood Boulevard. The service was also very good and staff are very personable and friendly.

Best Thai food

By HT |

We went here on our first night in LA. The walk there wasn’t the best but it was a relief when we arrived to see a packed restaurant. From start to finish the service was brilliant. The food was the best Thai food we have had since we visited Thailand. The portions were huge also .

Tasty authentic Thai food

By HoneynLemon |

We tried the tom yum seafood soup, papaya salad and the chicken noodle soup. I love the tom yum soup and papaya salad the most. The place is not big, so it’s not really suitable for large group. They serve authentic Thailand dishes. We tried medium level of spicyness and the food was quite hot for us. If you are unsure of the level of spicyness, you may try non-spicy or mild spicyness then add more chily by yourself if you need to. Service was good. The waiters were friendly and food was served quickly. Recommended for lunch & dinner, great value for money (tasty & big portion, good service).

Great Thai Food

By KingK1 |

Whilst in LA for 5 nights this was the only place we visited twice. On our first visit we ordered the Phuket Crab curry and drunken noodles. The crab was excellent - probably the best we've ever had. The only downside was the heat. We ordered it as 'mild' and it came out as extra extra hot! Portions were large enough that we didn't really touch the noodles and instead took them as takeaway. On our second visit we ordered the Phuket crab curry again but this time as 'extra mild'. Unfortunately, it was again way too hot (the same heat level as mild). Whist it was still fantastic it was still mind blowing hot. I can take hot food but even for me it was too much. This is the only reason I knock off a star. I think they need to work on their spice levels - if someone requests extra mild I wouldn't expect it to be 'Saddam Insane' level of spiciness!

Great spicy thai in Los Angeles

By Harris G |

My family and I visited on Sunday 12th August 2018 after doing the ultimate hollywood tour next door. Food was exactly how thai food should be cooked and the portions was equally fantastic . My kids did not eat here ,they preferred pizza hut next door but my wife and I had the red curry shrimp , the red curry pork ,stir fry vegatables and the egg rolls . The thai iced tea also was very good . We will surely visit this restaurant next time we are on sunset boulevard .

Pretty good Thai, forgot the veggies

By Kendra L |

I ordered delivery food from Luv2Eat when I was in Los Angeles last week on business. I was so excited about getting Thai food, I agonized over which place to order from. I ordered my favorite, my stand-by, my what-i-order-every-time-i-eat-thai, Panang Curry Tofu with extra vegetables. The curry sauce was delicious -- as usual, I could have drank the entire bowl of sauce. But they didn't give me the $2 extra vegetables I wanted -- so it was just the tofu with some onions and peppers. Yummy, but I really wanted more veggies. Still, it was good and I was happy!

Nice Surprise

By Bruno D |

I would't have expected this little gem judging form the outside. Food is very good and service is excellent.

Unbelievable tasting Thai

By Tammy C |

We almost did not go in because it is a little hole in the wall in a strip center. Food was fantastic. we ordered there signature soup. the flavors were amazing. Pad Thai was good too.

Authentic Thai, great food and service

By Joe B |

I went looking for some real Thai food while staying in Hollywood recently. Found this smaller restaurant in a strip mall right on Sunset Blvd. They sat me right away. The menu is huge filled with many Thai dishes. I had the Papaya salad and basil chicken (can't remember the Thai name). Asked for Thai chiles in fish sauce, no problem. Good, real Thai food. Great service. Not the biggest, fanciest place but who cares when the food is authentic like this.

Cozy restaurant in plaza

By somethingeneric |

Getting there is a bit sketchy but once you find the plaza, you will feel relieved! The portion are big and food was good. The service was very prompt and attentive. The Thai iced tea was great!

Fantastic Thai in LA

By INSFCA |

Don't let the name (that looks like a pre-teen girl's diary notation) or the mini strip mall location keep you away -- this place has unbelievably good Thai food, with great service and reasonable prices. It may be a small, unassuming place, but it has an extensive menu of authentic Thai dishes. We had the Hat Yai fried chicken (how do they get it so crispy?), the Moo Ping pork skewers with spicy sauce and sticky rice, a classic Pad Thai, and the Sparerib Zeed noodle soup, with "house special broth" that was special indeed. We got the last table, but the wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the food appeared quickly. Prices are very reasonable. Fantastic place!

Looks like a strip mall Thai restaurant, but delivers good food

By PA_Denizen |

Not your run of the mill Thai restaurant in a strip mall. The food was very good, authentic and relatively well priced. Some of the menu items can be spicy (even at medium) but they did a good job of delivering tasty food. Reasonably quick, even on a busy Saturday night as well.

Southern Thai food is their specialty.

By GumdropGirl |

Southern Thai cuisine is best known for fresh seafood, Malay influences, and spontaneously-combustible levels of spice. If you cannot handle spice, all the best things about this restaurant are compeltely wasted on you. Skip the central Thai food here. You can get pad thai anywhere. Get into the specialties. The Phuket crab kanom jiin is flavorful, fiery and fantastic. Try a variant on fried rice, the shrimp paste rice (khao kluk kapi). The rice is cooked with shrimp paste (kapi) and garlic and served with an array of apples, dried shrimp, scrambled egg, string beans, shallots and other goodies. Also tasty is their Hat Yai fried chicken, which is crispy and topped with crispier shallots. And though this isn't necessary a southern thing, they have jade noodles (mie yok), which can be served with or without broth.

Amazing, unusual Thai Food

By JH3traveler |

Had a fantastic meal here. They have a ton of things I've never seen on a Thai menu. Recommend being adventurous and not ordering just your favorites.

Don’t go anywhere in Hollywood after dark

By Christina D |

Was looking for dinner in Hollywood and checked out the reviews of this place. It was a bit of a walk but certainly worth it. Appears to be family run with a friendly staff and good food. Highly recommend.

unbelievable food in terrible location

By Connolly47 |

This is real Thai food in a sea of American Thai food, Even the cafe itself is more Bangkok than LA. The food is spicy, a combination of flavours made by a serious chef.

Just like Thailand!

By Jukka-San |

My Thai wife told me to give this place 10 stars, and I agree! The best Thai food outside of Thailand that we have found anywhere. If you are in town and looking for Thai food, this is the place, no need to go anywhere else!

Great flavors!

By ChefsBistro |

Has dinner with the family there - great flavors! Don't let the looks deceive you - it is some of the best Thai food we have had....

Delicious Thai Food

By Florian S |

We went here late with a group of four. We tried curries, a noodle soup, some stir fried noodles and had some appetizers. All of it was really good, especially the beef appetizer our server recommended was incredible. Definitely something to stop by if you're searching for food in la.

Good food

By Suda |

The curry soup was good. The food can be truly spicy here. If they warn you that the food you are going to order is spicy, they really mean it. The kanomjean (vermicelli rice noodle) is not as good as in Thailand. The restaurant is very crowded during peak time. It's better to be there a little bit early.

Everything okay

By stanleythaking |

I think everything was just okay, even the pork. I think if the pork would be less chewy, it would be better.

Hidden Thai

By weldon Mendes ( Styhumble10) |

Very lovely place, the staff was very friendly and patient… we were a party of three and some have never had Thai before. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was amazing. I say give them a try you won’t regret it ☺️☺️

Amazing food

By abw171 |

The location doesn’t look like too much from the outside but inside is a great place! Amazing food, great service and lovely atmosphere! Would recommend!

Amazing food, great price!

By Momusic14 |

Amazing. Don't be fooled by the exterior of this gem. From outside, it looks kinda sketchy, but as soon as you walk in, it's bright and friendly with lots of tables. The food is SO GOOD and the portions are huge. You could easily feed two per entree and the prices are very reasonable. We had pineapple fried rice (without curry), crab fried rice, and pad see ew. The service is good (and friendly) and the chef went the extra mile to come around to all the tables to check on us. Don't leave without buying a mango pudding and the cornflake cookies (we added them to our tab and ate them at the table)! I 100% recommend!

Best Thaifood in Hollywood

By BjarteS007 |

My gf and i Just dropped in, it is easy to miss just passing by. Its small and tight, but nice. The Staff was extremely friendly and helpful while ordering. We had cashew nuts with fried pork and some drunken noodles. The food was so tasty, and not to spicy for me. But easy to get as spicy as you want. This became our go-to place while staying in Hollywood. They also do takeaway. Do not miss out

Delicious, spicy, gluten-free-friendly

By fastrada |

This is a little hole in the wall in a strip mall that has great food! I usually order my Thai food medium-spicy but the server warned us that this is authentic Thai and "medium" was actually really spicy. So I ordered it mild, and she was correct - it was plenty spicy for me. My friend who has a gluten allergy was happy to see a wide range of clearly labeled gluten-free dishes. It was a total accident that we came across this place while vacationing and I'm glad we did!

Great food!!

By Shadi N |

Excellent food, excellent service! We tried the chow mein and yellow curry, but it was as good as it gets! Wouldefinitely

It's all good

By Rite-Way W |

My friends and I had 4 dishes. All of which were great. I've been to Thailand and it took me back there... very authentic. I'm so glad they didn't Americanize the food. Beware of the spiciness. We had a mild fish curry and we couldn't stop drinking water. Thai people love spice. If you don't like food on the hot side, ask for no spice.

Some of the best Thai food in Los Angeles!!

By MyTravelTalesColette |

I almost don't want to tell everyone how great this place is! Reasonably priced thai food, exceptional quality, in an unassuming strip mall in Hollywood. We ordered food to go and the entire process from ordering to pick up took 10 minutes (if that). The staff was friendly, answered all questions we had about the menu and ability to customize dishes (we like spicy!). We ordered pad thai tofu (and requested chili sauce on the side to make it spicier) and red curry chicken made medium spicy. The pad thai noodles were perfectly cooked and delicious! Same goes for the red curry chicken - it was outstanding. The portions are generous. We also bought a bag of chocolate chip cookies which were fantastic. This is going to be one of our new go-to spots in Hollywood. Can't wait to go back. Note: this is not a trendy Hollywood restaurant. It's very casual, not a scene.

Simply the best!!!!!

By annag9104 |

I have been to many thai restaurants in US, Europe and Thailand but this one is simply the best. It may be too spicy for some but tell you want mild and you get delicious tasty dish with just right kick to it. Love absolutely everything there. They have some cleaning issues but I don't really care as long as my food taste great. Noodle soup and papaya salad to die for.

Great place for authentic Thai

By D-verso |

Just arrived in LA and craving some Thai food. By the way we were spoken to, it was clear they were closing up for the night! However the food was so delicious, spicy and authentic.

Good Food, Great Value

By Jim S |

I've never pampered myself to a place that has been Michelin rated, so I drove way WAY out of my way to try this place. I had the Pineapple Curry with Duck and a side of Jasmine rice ($2.50 extra). The Curry was perfectly cooked; no overt flavors, and seasonings were perfectly balanced. The duck was expertly prepared and gave a soft, savory texture to the dish. My only reduction in points is the service. I was pretty well ignored for most of service.

Very good Thai food. Got it delivered and our order was perfect.

By “Gigi”, Mom, wife |

Delicious food delivered to our hotel room. The portions are large and the quality is perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Lunch

By 660kristar |

Cute little place, great service, good prices, clean and the food was spot on! Even my Thai tea was delish!

Best dinner during our week in LA!

By ATXLonghorn |

We ordered the Pad Thai and the Pineapple Fried Rice. Both we absolutely amazing especially the Pineapple Fried Rice. The restaurant is a casual local eatery and was packed on a Monday night at 9:30 pm which signals that it is good. This was the cheapest meal of our trip but also hands down the best meal that we had!

Need to Step Up a Bit More

By Tjokrosaputro |

There are so many Thai restaurants in LA that one must be really good to distinguish itself from the rest. Hollywood and Sunset are packed with Thai offerings and Luv2Eat needs to get out of its comfort zone. It serves good food, some are really good. Chinese broccoli with crispy belly pork is excellent and the restaurant knows the heat level of chilli sauce to satisfy real chilli fans. However, the rest of the menu I tried were mediocre. They just didn't kick the way South East Asian dishes were supposed to. They are not bad, they just don't live up to our expectation.

Best Thai food in USA?

By T1964MCjonathanp |

I have eaten a good amount of Thai food, in the USA and in several trips to Thailand. This meal challenged Lotus of Siam, in Las Vegas, as possibly the best Thai meal I have had in the USA. The restaurant is small and unassuming, in a strip mall location. It is not impressive at all. But, the food is incredible. We ordered the Seafood Zeed noodle soup and a yellow chicken curry, as well as a mango/sticky rice dessert. The dessert was actually a bit disappointing, especially after such a delicious menu. Even with a disappointing dessert, this restaurant still earns the highest rating possible. The chicken curry was excellent. This highlight of the meal was the Zeeb noodle soup, which is a house specialty, served in an incredibly delicious broth. It is rare to find a meal where every bite is mind-blowing, but that is how I have to describe this dish. Even with all of the options in Los Angeles, next time I visit, I will make sure to return to Luv2Eat. You should try it as well.

Fab food... best Thai ..

By JohnsonsOnLocation |

Looks like a right dingy little place but when you walk in it’s heaving ...you just get the feeling you’re in for a great meal. Not disappointed the food is amazing.. chicken panang sticky rice crispy pork and 3 hrs later I’m still stuffed and talking about it! ... don’t let the outside put you off! Seriously good Thai food!

Basic venue, amazing food

By Seen This and That |

Basic affair in a parade of shops. Doesn’t look much from outside but don’t let that put you off . Yes it’s small tables, benches and a fast turnaround but the quality of the food is excellent. Probably the best Thai meal we’ve had in any country, including Thailand .

Good Thai food and friendly service

By Shin69 |

We had spicy noodles and yum woon sen. Food was good but a bit too spicy for me. The restaurant was small and busy. Server look confuse what he need to do first. But everything was ok for us. Owner very friendly.

Worth seeking out

By Ian M |

Hidden away in a nondescript strip mall this place could easily be overlooked, but it is well worth stopping by. Very good food, friendly staff, good prices, take out available. It can get busy - for good reason.

Underwhelming but OK Thai.

By CvilleMike |

We had the take home variety and dont really recommend it. Quantities were small and not as tasty as the might have been in the restaurant. We may give it one more try but we have had much better Thai food elsewhere.

Good Thai food, but hot means HOT

By AJB1988 |

Good quality food, and fairly reasonably priced for the area. The food was served quickly and waiting staff attentive. Couple of tips/helpful points: - be aware that they don't serve alcohol. I ordered a Thai iced tea and it was pretty rank. Wouldn't order one again. - err on the side of caution when deciding on the heat of your dish; hot means HOT. So much so that we could barely eat one of our dishes. - the Pad Thai noodles were very good.

Great Thai Food!

By Daniel D |

Luv2EatThai is located in a strip mall on Sunset Blvd. Comfortable and clean location, but what you really come for is the delicious food. I opted for the fish cakes to start followed by the crab fried rice. Both were excellent, really fresh and flavorful. I found the portions huge and ended up taking half home with me. Reasonably priced considering the portion size. Friendly staff.

Very authentic Thai

By WanderingSoul |

Be warned when you go they do things Thai spicy so if you just like some heat order your dishes mild. We ordered the chicken larb salad with medium spice and that was about perfect. Everything else we ordered mild and we were happy for it. From the curry crab to the fried chicken their food here has such good flavor. Up there with our favorite Thai places. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

One Word... AWESOMENESS!

By texasreferee |

We were in Hollywood feed into a quick dinner. We found some good reviews for this establishment, and decided to give a try. Chef Fern and staff exceeded our expectations in every possible way. Every dish we ordered (family of7) was tasty and plentiful. This is truly one of the best restaurants we’ve found during all of our travels across the country.

tasty, hot and spicy

By 71asmo |

tiny place by Seven Eleven parking lot, a bar rather than a restaurant, with a couple of tables packed tightly arount the counter piled with packages of thai snacks - and the best curry I've had for ages the place is apparently more popular among locals rather then tourists, we were given quite harsh treatment by the waitress (maybe debating to long on what to order) but it only added up to special atmosphere of the place

Good food and great customer service!

By marshateru |

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is well worth it! My husband and I decided to try Luv2Eat one morning. We were looking for somewhere different and this was a great choice!

Felt like i was in Bangkok!

By Vatana K |

I was visiting my sister in Costa Mesa, and she took me there. The owner was very friendly! they have the best authentic Thai food in LA. if you happen to go there, try their Mango Sticky rice!! :>

A small hidden local gem. Accidentally found this place & so glad I did! The food was outstanding and service was great! I for sure will return here when in the area!

Best Thai Food in Hollywood

Very good Thai food, very clean, and great attention to flavor. I would totally come back again my next visit to LA!!

Good food but a bit short on service

By Emily L |

We were visiting LA and wanted local, flavorful restaurants. We were there at dinner rush on Saturday and it felt like it— even though the crowds thinned out pretty quickly. The waitstaff didn’t seem all interested in being helpful. We had a good meal and enjoy both of the dishes we had. Pork skewers and pad Thai. Flavorful and good but if there was a wait I’m not sure I would go back. Met the bill for what we were looking for that night and worth stopping in.

Outside the traditional gastronomic tour

By Pedro Henrique R |

Absurd place of good and out of the great traditional gastronomic tour. Super recommend. The hostess is very friendly and gave us a little mimo (traditional sweet).

Good Thai food in unassuming location

By annieandstevie |

Authentic Thai food but if you didn't know it was there, you definitely wouldn't stop by. It's a simple restaurant that serves up fresh food just like in Bangkok. But beware - it can get very busy during dinnertime.

A taste of Thailand in Hollywood

By LeviMB1990 |

This place is a must if you love Thai. Ignore the grubby, run down exterior/shopping complex it’s apart of & get yourself inside. The food is delicious, with dishes providing a real authenticity, packed with a Thai punch in wholesome portions(we had a lot left over but they allow you to take it away if you wish). Be careful on your spice choice as it can come to roost rather quickly if you’re a little too giddy! Service was good.

A Great Find in Hollywood!

By Ctpayc |

My husband and I happened upon this place as we wanted to get away from the crowds and chaos of Hollywood Boulevard. It's a short walk away, but it is definitely worth it! We had the turmeric soup, pad Thai, ginger tofu, and papaya salad. The portions were huge and it was obvious it was all prepared using the best of ingredients. All we ate was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, we had the Thai tapioca and cappuccino pudding, which were also excellent. We wish we could have had more room in our stomachs to have tried more. The next time we return to LA, we will be back!

A lovely Thai place

By Anna C |

Would give them five stars as the choice is good and presentation is very nice. The taste of dishes is authentic Thai. However pad see eaw and beef noodle soup were a bit too sweet. Northern sausage was excellent. Overall good experience

Great reviews but disappointing reality- good but not great

By drjlever |

We just had lunch there and we were excited to be there- the LA reviews had been great. But the dishes we had- the roaring Tiger ( or something like that-dish number 11) and the Jade Noodle dish ( number 35) were both flavorful- but full of fatty meats. Maybe fat is a delicacy I do not appreciate- but the meats were about half inedible unless you like fat and stringiness. The tastiness was real- but marred by poor quality ingredients. The service was great however. Very nice waitresses , very attentive. The place has its own "hole in the wall- mini mall" ambiance. But I would not urge you to go out of your way for this restaurant. On the other hand, some people really rave about it- so perhaps it was an off moment.

Good food, and nice flavours

By Roberta |

Came here twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The outside looks closed but inside is alright. I really enjoyed the flavours for each dish. The portions are large too. The staff were friendly. The seating can be kind of tight but that’s just given the space

I did not like...

By Aureliano M |

I didn't like the restaurant. Already, the menu is huge, several pages... which suggests that almost nothing is really homemade... Impossible to have around fifty "homemade" dishes, or I take my hat off. Regarding the dish, I took the famous "Moo Ping": the meat was not of very high quality and there was a lot of fat. Maybe that's how this dish is prepared, but I just didn't like it...

Really good food!

By Beadsbb |

We came to eat here after reading the positive reviews on TA. The restaurant is easy to find and has parking out front. The restaurant was really busy but we were seated and our orders were taken quickly by a young male server. However after 20 mins passed, still no sign of any food. We figured as the restaurant was busy this may have been a factor as to why there was a hold up. Then we began to notice that people who had arrived after us were getting served before us! People whom had arrived like 40 mins after us were getting their meals first! We finally managed to grab the attention of the male server and was advised that he had forgotten to give our order to the kitchen. Ok?! People that arrived after us had actually eaten their meals had paid and left. My husband, finally got his meal after around 60 minutes and finishes before mine is brought to the table. I discuss this poor service to the male server who fails to acknowledge the issue and provides no apology. Later, a female server comes to our table, actually apologises and is really sincere about the whole fiasco and offers a free dessert as a way to apologise. Honestly, if it wasn't for the sincerity of the female server and her meaningful apology then it really would have ruined our perception of this place. We understand these things happen and although it's not nice at the time, the right form of understanding from staff when these things happen makes all of the difference. Kudos to the lady server!

So good!

By Maren |

Couldn’t ask for a better place! Haven’t been able to have Thai food for a while due to my gluten intolerance. Almost everything on their menu is gluten free & delicious!

Amazing Thai sausage with Veges

Love the food here that offers both Southern and Northern specialties. My favorite dish here is the Southern Thai spicy dry meat curry and also the Thai Sausage with crunchy vegetables.

Tasty Crab Curry and Drunken Noodles

By LnS2004 |

We had dinner at this cozy little restaurant in a strip mall on Sunset before catching a show. Pictures of the beloved late Thai king lined the walls. Menu bio said one of the chefs was a star grad of culinary school. Our dinner order included a variety of dishes that included Chef’s recommendations, salad and noodles. We loved the flavorful stir-fried Drunken flat noodles. The Tum Thai papaya salad was fresh and crunchy. The Crab curry Phuket style (Chefs’ hometown) with crab meat, eggs, was very tasty with the rice noodles soaking up the yummy sauce. The chicken satay with marinated breast meat was moist, tender and on the sweet side. The Hat Yai Fried Chicken was crispy and nicely complemented by the sticky rice, a textural contrast. We also ordered Chinese Broccoli with crispy pork which some in our party just loved. The two Thai basic dishes: pad Thai and yellow curry, although satisfactory, were ironically not as stellar as the other standouts. Service was attentive and courteous. Overall, it was quite an enjoyable meal.

One of the most authentic Thai restaurants outside of Thailand we've been to Thailand three times love the food there and this is the closest we've come in the United States to authentic Thai food. It is a bit small so it's important to make reservations especially on weekends if you have to wait a little bit it is worth the wait we are going to make this a regular stop on ourdining out in LA

More than meets the eye!

This restaurant tucked-away in a small mall packs a huge punch! The food is cooked by native Thais and is 100% authentic. About 3/4 of the customers we saw there were Thai, lending to the fact that the food tastes like that back home for them! We had the Seafood Tom Yum soup that had a generous serving of various seafood and tasted pretty much like the soup we had in Thailand. Also, do not belittle the chilli flakes they have in the table. It is extremely spicy! Use in moderation. If you do like it spicy, ask for the cut small chilli in fish sauce from your waiter. 10/10 would recommend! 11/10 will go again!

Authentic & delicious

My kids had been telling me about this busy little restaurant for a while now so we all went there after seeing 'Once upon a time in Hollywood' at the Arclight, just down the street. I had a pad se ew with duck that was so tasty I was blown away. The kids had a crab curry, divine, and a pork ramen thingy that was super good. We also had some thai sausage that I could not stop eating. A word of warning though, being quite authentic these guys don't mess around when it comes to the spicy business, when they ask mild or spicy, go for the mild. The mild will be plenty hot, you'll get a good sweat on and your eyes will water just a little bit. Any thing other than mild will blow your socks off. The annoying thing about Love2eat is that it has completely ruined every other Thai place in L.A. It's that good.

A surprising gem

This place is surprisingly really excellent. It seems to be very authentic and all the dishes we tried were great. The owner/chef is very passionate about her food and service and comes from a long line of Thai restauranteurs. Highly recommend trying everything. The server recommended the an extremely spicy dish that was one of the best things I ever ate, but it was very spicy and I can take spicy. It is definitely one of the best if not the best Thai place in LA and up there with the legendary Lotus of Siam in Vegas.

Michelin guide recommended restaurant for 2p1o

Got take out hear twice during our week vacation in Los Angeles. Was recommended to us by a local resident, and we are glad we went. It is a no-nonsense place in a small strip mall. But you can tell the food is good by the amount of diners, and people waiting to get in. Got the chicken satay, chicken pad thai, green curry beef, and yellow curry beef. They were all delicious. I can eat here every day! After our take out, only then did I realize that they were recommended by Michelin as well. Highly highly recommended!

6 stars!!!

Can't compliment the food here enough, it's incredible. So fresh and authentic, on a par with the delicious Thai food we had in a Thailand recently. Prices are also very reasonable, can't recommend highly enough. The 90% Asian clientele is a testament to the authenticity of the place.

Amazing Thai food & service in LA

We came back from a long road trip and really wanna eat Thai food so decided to go to this lovely restaurant. It turned out to be one of the best Thai food we ever had anywhere in USA. I would recommend grilled pork and crab curry as they are the best!

Very Disappointed

By What We Found Travelling |

We’ll keep it brief. We were very disappointed. The good:- Big servings ✅ Fast service ✅ Great value ✅ The bad:- Long waiting time to get a seat ❌ No wine or beer available ❌ Restaurant was very grubby inside ❌ Food was terrible ❌ Fish Cakes were tough & chewy Panang Curry was watery & bland Pad See Ew was tasteless Speciality Moo Ping was raw on the inside - we sent it back & didn’t want another dish. It took 30 minutes to make & cook it. They removed it from our bill. I have absolutely no clue how Michelin gets mentioned with this restaurant. The worst Thai food we have ever eaten.

Cannot say anything bad about this place it does not look anything special from the outside but the authentic Thai food is amazing along with the staff 5 stars from me.

Best Thai in a long while

By Amit K |

Used TripAdvisor to find a Thai restaurant. This was #2 on the list in LA, and because it was close to Universal Studios where we spent our day, it was a no brainer to go there. We still had limited expectations given it’s in a strip mall but we were blown away. The food is a bit too spicy for us, but it was amazing. TomYum Soup was awesome, and it was a lot of soup. Panang curry, and the Fried Rice were both delicious. Highly recommended!

Great menu- average food- great service

By Pepper |

I liked the servers a lot- very professional and friendly. And the menu seemed extensive and inventive. But while our meals were tasty, the meat and chicken were fatty and poor quality. Noodles were very good- I think I would stick with their noodle dishes- The reviews made us make sure we went but they must have had a better night ( or a different cook) the night they were reviewed.

Great Thai food!

Food was was served quickly and was very tasty. Great Thai iced coffee. Walking distance from Hollywood blvd if you are looking for something away from the tourist strip.

Genuine Thai with fabulous, friendly service

Luv2Eat was recommended by a guy who works at Trader Joe's on Sunset & who has been to Thailand twice. He said it was as authentic as you could get. He was absolutely correct. Three of us ate there tonight. Chef Noree Pla is from Phuket and serves as hostess. Her dishes are redolent of turmeric, kafir lime leaves, Thai basil, galanga (galangale, "lesser ginger"), ginger, chilis, etc. She has invented Thai iced tea pudding, really a panna cotta of Thai iced tea, which is absolutely delightful. The tom kha soup was filled with succulent shrimp. The Phuket style crab curry Kanomjean was filled with real crab. Papaya salad was fantastic, as was the pad see ew with crispy pork. I can't remember a dish so filled with porky goodness. All in all an excellent experience. I highly recommend it.

Big Flavors in LA

While staying at the Loews Hotel - we wanted someone to bring us dinner (tired of running out). Luv2Eat delivers!!! That was the tipping point in giving them a try. Glad we did. My son did Pad Thai & loved it. I got one of the items that the reviews said was really spicy - some type of curry dish with chicken & it was smokin' hot - but I couldn't stop eating it. DELISH!! My wife got some type of seafood dish (soup/noodle bowl) thing & she raved about it. Love Luv2Eat - Great job!!

Vegetarians check before you eat

By Ashish T |

When ordering we were very clear, no meat or fish!! But the Papaya salad was served with shrimps. We received apologies and a new dish when we flagged, but was too late for us. My wife is a strict vegetarian. Moreover, they don’t do a small portion for kids - my boy landed up wasting a lot of food. The Thai Green curry gets full marks from me, because of which I am giving an overall rating of 2.

Terrible; from food to service.

Went over for some dinner and was seated at the bar while waiting for a table to free up. When there was a table, the owner happily sat another group and forgotten about us. When I pointed this out to her, she sat us near the door where the high traffic of people coming in and out meant that the cold wind would interrupt our meal every 10 minutes. We ordered and waited quite long for our food. One of my sisters had to wait nearly 30 minutes for her food while the table after us had received all their food. We realized that the table was a group of the owners' friends. Food wasn't great, it wasn't a benchmark for Thai cuisine at all. All in all, a terrible dinner for us.

Excellent food

Excellent food and fast service. The drunken noodles were great as was the tom kha gai ( chicken with coconut soup) . For dessert, sticky rice cooked with coconut milk and mango was wonderful as well. It's in a strip mall that would be easy to overlook but is well worth the visit.

I <3 Thai food @ Luv2Eat Thai Bistro!

By tingleboi |

I was visiting my family in LA for a week and really wanted to eat Thai food. My friend told me about this new place that just opened a few months ago so we decided to give it a try. The food was excellent and the owners're super friendly! I loved their Massaman curry very much. The restaurant is close to the Hollywood walk of fame, so it's very convenient if you are visiting LA. Highly recommend to all locals & tourists who are looking for authentic Thai food. You will love it and keep coming back like I did!

Space noodles

By randrear |

Very informal place of excellent Thai cuisine. Fast service despite the relatively late hour and the presence of many people. Try two types of noodles both great, and a fresh coconut. Two paid less than $50, a case more unique than rare in LA, especially in light of the excellent quality. Stra recommended.

Authentic

Authentic Southern Thai cuisine. Friendly service... I am in love with this place. Papaya salad is great. ASK the server for recommendation, keep an open mind and try it!

Authentic Thai in WEHO

By Andrew de jong |

This place is only small but I understand they are expanding soon. The Thai people come here so it must be good, and it was!. Full of flavor and you have the choice of tasty mild or spicy in your dish. The staff were attentive and friendly, it's owned by a Thai Lady who was very friendly. Pricing very good. if you haven't eaten Thai before this is a good place to start. Worth the visit was there for lunch.

Authentic Thai food

Went there based on recommendations. Nice family ambient. Attentive service. They serve a wide variety of Thai dishes not touristy adapted. Regular dishes are probably spicy by other standards so be careful. Ordered Hat Yai chicken with sticky rice and was very tasty. Spent $12. Great little restaurant
