This place has great pizza and even better service. The owner is often there and always comes around to check on you. The truffle pizza is awesome!

I enjoyed a lot eating in this restaurant. Pizza is great, real italian one, the atmosphere is cosy and service is good. Really nice place.

Great pizza, fantastic salads. Really a great place. Can't go wrong! Service is excellent as well, and the ambiance is great.

Went here with a friend last week when we were looking for better-than-average pizza on Atlantic Avenue. I'd been there with friends from Los Angeles five or six years ago, and the pizza was really good. They get a lot of praise in reviews so we went early because it was a Saturday and we didn't have a reservation. The service was polite and attentive, but that's the only good thing I can say. When I asked for mushroom pizza well done, I was told "Look at that oven," (it is open and the burning wood is visible) "it's 800 degrees! Everything is well done." Guess what? The pizza was soggy! Even though the crust was quite thin and the bottom charred, the slices were limp and over-oiled. The center of the pizza was especially wet. They were really skimpy with the mozzarella- only about one-third the amount that you see in the picture they have posted at the top of this page. I feel it necessary to point that out because their photo is not a good representation, according to what we received. Besides that, the mozzarella was just barely melted and very wet, too. My friend got the fairly expensive ($14) eggplant Parmesan appetizer and complained that the sauce was too sweet. It was not very large and appeared to be afloat-really swimming-in a dish full of sauce. Oddly, it was not a very appetizing way to plate the appetizer! We really should have sent the pizza back, but after the "Look at that oven," remark from the well-intentioned server, it seemed best just to pay and leave. We didn't even stay for espresso, but decided to get out of there and go down the street to Swallow.

Exactly what you are looking for in a great neighborhood pizza place. Nice ambience, Very friendly staff, good wine list and fabulous pizza. We will be back!

the food is outstanding, the red house wine and the Italian cocktails were great, service was very friendly and fast, the place is cozy and charming and everybody in there seemed to enjoy themselves. love their motto Eatpizzamakelove

We were strolling down atlantic avenue in brooklyn looking for a place where to have lunch and we were lucky to find this place. They do proper great pizza. I had the 16" with egg and truffle paste, while my partner had the one with egg, bacon and zucchini. And they were absolutely delicious. (the 16" is REALLY big btw) Together with a Peroni Rossa and a proper italian caffe it was a fantastic lunch experience. Friendly staff, great location and decor at average NY prices complete the experience.

Nice cozy quiet place Accomodating Friendly service and good pizza and chianti Reasonably priced but average wines a bit high

.......and its true! Really excellent Pizzas served informally by friendly staff made this one of the repeat highlights of our long US trip. The bar and Cocktail waitress also keeps you both entertained and fueled whilst waiting for your Pizza. Highly recommended, plus they do take aways!

Best pizza and service in Brooklyn!! Nice location and very good winelist. Italian style. Varius grappamenu.

I am so happy my boyfriend and I came to this place and ate the most delicious food I think I've ever had! We were staying in Manhattan and decided to go out into Brooklyn in search of some quality food and to get away from tourist traps. It was our last night in NY and it couldn't have ended better with the beautiful three course meal we had. Everything about this place from their unique menu, the very friendly staff, the beautiful atmosphere really was the cherry on top to our visit to NY. I only wish I could've tried more food off this fantastic menu only I was stuffed full! Next time I plan a trip to NY I will definitely be coming back here! I would highly recommend this restaurant to everybody! Thank you Luzzo's BK for a beautiful and unforgettable evening and quality dining experience!

The pizza was very good: thin and crispy, not sweet, excellent cheese/tomato balance. No silly, over-loaded pizzas, either. Very attentive staff, good beer choices, a nice dessert. We will definitely go back.

If you are looking for a piece of Italy in New York, and want a slice of a great napolitan pizza, look no further than Luzzo's BK. The ambience of the place is great, the waiters are all italian and have great recommendations, and the menu is full of great choices. Cannot go wrong when you want a good slice of pizza.

The pizza here is simply fantastic. Thin crust, and fresh tomato sauce. The service is average, but is worth the pizza. The best part about this is that there is no wait or line to get in if you are looking for pizza in brooklyn, I would highly recommend Luzzo's BK.

Visiting a son who attends brooklyn law we stumbled upon this place . We had a simple family meal of welcoming Italian red wine, shared a fresh simple salad with arugula and sliced parmesan, and enjoyed a couple of expertly made wood fires pizzas and a hearty pasta dish - with various meats. Wait-staff was friendly and welcoming. Only negative - place is small. Booths were cramped. Otherwise all very good and judging by the looks of the other patrons they’d agree. What more do you need?

Great place for well made, creative pizza. We were served with a smile and a broad range of pizzas to select from - perfect place for a good, unpretentious meal.

I stumbled upon this place with a friend on a Saturday night. The restaurant had a nice menu with many options for apps, pizza and other main courses. The staff was very helpful with choices and opinions about the menu. The wine list is well stocked, but a little pricey for a pizza place, overall I was pleased with the prices. I had the fried calamari for my first course and the shrimp pizza. Both were great, with fresh seafood and very prompt service. I appreciated the fact that the staff did not rush us out after we were done the meal and let us finish the bottle of wine. I recommend this place and feel confident saying you will enjoy your meal.

Nice pizza & pasta dishes. Also do eggs and french toast for brunch. Friendly staff and small back yard area

If like me you are Gluten intolerant and really miss a tasty, crunchy pizza, RUN (do not walk.... Run) to Luzzo BK on atlantic Ave! While my kids enjoyed a great Margarita pizza, I ate the best Gluten Free pizza Inhave ever had. It was so tasty, I asked three times to make sure it was actually GF..... I almost cried!!!! 😜

Three vs Four stars is hard here, because this is the kind of place you want to go back to, but I don't want to overate the pizza as that was the weakest part of the night. When we go back, and we will, I'll update this. But we're from Brooklyn, dude, and you don't find better pizza anywhere than BKLYN so it's a tough market. The service was wonderful, the ambiance was perfect, noisy, intimate, dimly lit. You could have a safe date here, a sexy date, or a gathering of clucking friends and it will work out. The manager/owner types are everywhere making sure you're happy. The wines are perfectly acceptable. The Antipasti we had were the fried Artichokes with Arugula. Really delicious - NOTE TO WAITER - Don't take my plate until you ask, we still had arugula on there! Grrrr. We had the Capricciosa pizza. It was nothing special, red sauce non distinctive, cheese was sparse, and the olives seemed from a can. Maybe they weren't. But they seemed like it. All in all bland. The crust was a little on the chewy side but some people like that so I can't complain. It was just a disappointment considering all we'd heard about this place. I feel like we had an off night. We'll go back and try something else, like I said, and see what happens.

Friendly welcome and good service. The Calamari was delicious and the pizza is fantastic. Nice ambiance too.

My fam is from italy so i am used to very delicious food & am critical of italian food. Luzzo's is the real deal! Real italian style! Everything from the pizzas pastas and appetizers are EXCELLENT! Highly recommend this place

This Italian restaurant exudes Italian hospitality the staff is very friendly and inviting. They want you to have a great experience I had the Margherita pizza and ut was delicious. This neighborhood is loaded with restaurants and this is one you won't want to miss

We stumbled across Luzzo’s on Sunday afternoon whilst on our walk discovering Brooklyn. Great local, serving fab pizzas, good spot to watch the world go by.

We were treated like royalty here. The food was fantastic serve the best. Most definitely going back, soon!

This restaurant has great pizza and not only that, also great service! The pizza was so crispy and so thin, we were thrilled. We had Margherita, a classic, which was so good, we ordered a garlic onion combo, which was even better. The drinks are re-filled, the table is cleared. You don't have to ask for anything but your pizza choice and the check. My favorite kind of service, the best!

Came here one night for dinner (pizza and salad). It was very good but nothing special over other napoletana pizzas in the area. Service was fine. However, they have a number of other traditional Italian dishes on the menu beside pizza. So would definitely return if with a group.

Cute place in the heart of Brooklyn. Super pizza and pasta dish with top sauce and basil. We went for pre-marathon carb loading. Gennaro was welcoming and friendly. Everything Top Daniela

Good Italian ( napotitano ) restaurant in Cobble Hill area. The dishes are not pretentious but simply delicious. The pizza salsiccia we ordered was amazing. The staff was really friendly. This is a restaurant I recommend without hesitation.

It's a tiny place so it's better to book. The good thing is that, being really Italian, you can have dinner even after 9 pm which not that usual. Service is friendly and professional. Food is simply excellent. Pizzas are perfect with a crunchy but very light dough. Very good value for money.

I've been dying to experience Luzzo's for so long. We used to frequent their sister restaurant the Da'mikele in Tribeca until the manager started treating us horribly. We were in Brooklyn so we decided to check this place out. The service was very nice however the appetizers were mediocre at best, specifically eggplant Parmesan and the meatballs. The arancini wasn't bad. The pizza with sausage was good the crust was in but overall I would say that the pizza it was the best part of this meal. The wines were horrible!!! Seriously what self-respecting Italian could actually serve the crap that they do? To be fair it's actually not crap wine, they do have a SMALL but decent wine list. However, they don't store their wines properly so shame on them for wasting good wine. And shame on me for coming here. I will give them credit for great marketing. Love their hashtag & the pizza box!

Luzzo's is a lovely spot and a welcome addition to Atlantic Avenue. The quattro formaggio pizza is not to miss. Great craft cocktail menu, laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. It can get quite packed on the weekends!

We were here for lunch with co-workers. Cozy, intimate atmosphere, attentive staff. I cannot provide a complete review of the cuisine, because we shared an appetizer and had pizza as the main course. The New York market for excellent pizza is very competitive, thus it is my opinion that Luzzo's was not on par with the best. Yet, the place deserves a visit.

We got into this lovely and cozy small Italian pizza place with my wife by chance. It looked nice from the outside so decided to try it. Excellent call!!!! An Italian waitress recommended us the arugula pizza. It was just perfect. This, tasty, crunchy. Just unforgettable. Do not leave Brooklyn without tasting this pizza.

Good place to have close to your home. But stick to the (good) pizza's and fresh salads, as most entrees are disappointing. But it is a cozy place and the service is personable.

A great place! Just what you want to find in a neighborhood pizzeria with a friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great food, and quality wine list. Pizza is so good and creative! We put this place on our list of places to visit when back in Brooklyn!

Make love, eat pizza! My favourite motto of all time. And that's what Luzzos stands for. Pizza to die for, pasta to die for, food to die for, dessert to die for. Should I go on? I love the cozy, European vibe going on when you step foot into Luzzos. The authenticity is beholden by the awesome staff greeting you in heavy Italian accents. It makes you want to do a jiggle and dance. We were seated immediately (we did not have reservations and they were pretty full). Menus and water were brought to the table right away and of course the menu was in Italian ha. Our waiter was very helpful in us deciding what to order. We got the Eggplant Parm, Rigatoni Ragu, and Tartuffo off the dinner menu. (We also came here for brunch and it was nothing short of delicious). Everything we ordered was delightful, tasty and fresh. We polished our plates before anyone could say boo. The drinks were pretty good too. I got wine and my husband got a couple cocktails that were super delicious. The bill was quite decent and worth every penny. I will totally be back for more of that divine pizza. Parking was also a breeze (super helpful).

Went with friends to this cute Italian restaurant frequented by many of the locals. Everyone was so friendly, food was delicious, both their pizza and their pasta entrees.

Everything was perfect - the lighting, the temperature, the ambiance, the food. OH THE FOOD. We were very happy splitting a pizza (with speck, truffle pate, artichokes, and ricotta) and a pasta (tagliatelle). It was all excellent. Can’t wait to go back!
Great place love it
Authentic Italian w great pizza. Love these guys... and always a liimoncello at the bar to finish. I had the pollo Milanese (for my diet?!?) - delicious. GF had a great spec pizza. She has to have jalapeños...
