Great atmosphere coupled with excellent food and cocktails! Overall service was first rate. Reservations are a must. Easy access with convenient valet access.

Great food selection, nice atmosphere and amazing service! Especially Luis The picana is highly recommended and the empanada

Very interesting and comfortable interior design. Had the beef short rib tacos which were incredibly tender and seasoned with their spices perfectly. Their salsa is not spicy, but very tasty. We had also the lechon & shrimp chaufa which was very well prepared and tasty but not what I would probably choose again because of all the rice. Not to say it was bad in anyway. Just not my preference. All of Lombardi’s restaurants are excellent and highly recommend recommended.

This is a Mexican restaurant that serves all its dishes family style. My wife and I were invited by the Peru Tourism board to an introduction to 2026 new travel programs for travel throughout Peru. They had asked the restaurant to prepare the food and serve it Peruvian style and same as they do in Peru. I have traveled extensively throughout Peru from big cities like Lima and Cusco to small remote villages in the moutains and deserts and really got to taste many versions of Peru cuisine. My impression of all the 9 dishes this restaurant served as supposedly Peruvian was they are good at Mexican flavors but have no clue of Peruvian oriented flavors, contents or presentations. I give them a food taste rating of 9 on Mexican flavors but a 1 on Peruvian tastes. I think they should stick to continue doing well at what they know best.

High expectations met! I was anticipating a lot visiting Mar y Sol Cocina Latina, first; I’m quite familiar with the Lombardi Family Concepts and their standards; second; I’m someone whose called the Riviera Maya home for several years and I was stimulated to experience their version of a Tulum inspired concept, in a metroplex brimming with Latin influenced restaurants. Although there’re a few design related issues, Mar y Sol is wonderful! The uniformity of the staff and ambiance are refreshing. Table side drink presentations, and fairly priced menu selections, with generous portions we all can get into. The luminous venue is a welcomed diversion from the dark & sultry vibe that’s become the norm in Dallas. (Not My Designs!) The diversity of the audience is a major plus for me, along with multiple seating options from their substantial bar to varied table size’s for families and groups. While weekdays are bit more chill, Thursdays thru Saturday evenings, Mar y Sol comes to life with a DJ to add to your festive experience. Espero verte allí pronto! Xoxo Lorenzo!

Charges "prep" fees for drinks that are shaken--ridiculous! This is the epitome of greed and disrespect for customers.

The meal was horrible, poor waitress care, take into account for the waitress if a couple goes either for wedding anniversary or for a proposal of marriage must attend well to both. Not only the man, my flesh was badly burned, I don't like it either, I won't go again. Zero customer service, zero empathy and zero for food.
Worth a visit
We had a great evening that turned to crap because the chef precooked my steak twice and still couldn't get it right, but the manager (Ariel) really save our visit and meal for us. Firstly, we had a reservation andwere seated immediately when we arrived. Our waitress Dalia M. came over immediately to explain the menu, specials, and to take our drink orders. Our appetizer the steak and mushrooms came over within minutes and tasted awesome. The flavor of the radishes, and other ingredients in the rice was very good. For an entrée my wife had the Salmon and she really enjoyed enjoyed the cook and the flavor of the salmon. My entrée was the wood fired picana steak cooked medium, and it came as if the cow was still walking around and no were near a medium. The waitress talked to the mgr and they agree to have the steak reworked as I requested and were going to comp our dessert. When the steak returned the cow was still looking me in the face and saying what up now homie. I was upset and so was the manager who took the steak back and had a new entrée cooked as I requested. She did a great job and it really meant alot to my wife and I. She comped the meal and the dessert for our troubles. The final steak she delivered was awesome and with a great flavor. The pistachio terimasu for dessert was pure heaven and tasted awesome. We were there for over two hours, but the manager and waitress really did their best to ensure we had a good new years eve dinner. We plan to visit again and hopefully have a little better experience
