Food is bland

By Nick C |

This place is one step above Olive Garden. But only one step. Giant portions of mediocre pasta, bland sauce, and uninteresting meats. I really expected something better for the price I paid. Would suggest cutting the portions in half and doubling the quality.

Tasty

By travelmore30 |

I ate at this restaurant for lunch while waiting for my connecting flight. I anticipated slow kitchen service but was pleasantly surprised. The salad was fresh, sangria tasty and soup had a unique flavor profile. Price was decent for airport food.

Pro Tip for in flight meals

By Zik J |

Great service in the DFW Airport Terminal C Maggiano’s. Here’s the pro tip: Get a salad and add a protein like chicken, shrimp or salmon. Ask for bread and butter. Take it to go and get on your flight. Enjoy and savor it slowly as you fly. Salads can take a “long time” to eat on an airplane, if you get my drift.

Excellent service - fabulous food

By Ron R |

We had a birthday party with 12 people. Not an easy table to take care our server was very patient and helped all. We had steak, pasta, salad all is good. The atmosphere is relaxed so this is good for couples to have their special time and be able to talk. It is also good for families I don’t remember seeing or hearing any small children yelling but they are welcome also. Did I say the food is good. I had the lasagna and it was delicious

Good food!

By Joanne H |

Great food! Nice ambiance . Enjoyed the food from the appetizers to the main course and desert. First time there but I will probably come back with the family:)

Used to be great. Now its just a bad Chili's with high prices.

By pleasantrun1229 |

I have eaten here every couple of months for 20 years. Took time off for the pandemic, came back eager for the food and service that used to be here and...everything sucks, now. Renovation of the space made it smaller and cheaper looking and feeling. Service was unprofessional and like a Chili's. Food was like a bad Chili's, too. I had the surf and turf special. Nothing special about it. Rubbery, way over cooked lobster. Bad. Crab cakes, which used to be full of chunks of crab, now are pureed crab flavored--I don't know what. But the texture is like eating warm bread dough. If there is crab in the crab cakes now, I'm surprised. Filet medallions were very thin, tough, and gristly. But the price was still very high. For dessert, they used to have a great chocolate mousse cake worth coming in for all by itself. An adult dessert about the flavor and textures. Now that has been replaced by a disgusting supersweet gooey sugar bomb. Chili's again. Very sad that the accoutants have ruined this restaurant. We won't be back.

Good food not so go server

By Linda H |

We ate at the Dallas Love field restaurant, the food was delicious but our waiter Michael was really bad. After ordering we saw other people with bread and had to ask for it, then saw a olive oil/basmati that was brought to other people, had to ask for that too. The lady next to us ordered a salad and after she finished it he brought her the ticket and walked off. She said to her daughter, I was going to order dinner and he never even asked if we wanted anything else.

Good Food in a Very Cramped Restaurant

By Tastefullycoco - The Simple Treasures |

The food at Maggiano's is good and the chef's take home option is very nice for some dishes. The Northpark restaurant has a very crowded and has a cramped feel. The tables are extremely close to each other and the whole feeling is very nerve racking and not relaxing at all. Our waiter was capable, but we rarely saw him. No real complaints overall and had a nice time, but not really my favorite Maggiano's to dine at.

Except for the cocktails and the Meat Valls

By Tinaaa1970 |

Eaten on the counter. The cocktails and meat balls are decent. For the rest, a somewhat erratic service, garlicky potatoes, so-so cheeses

Maggiano's Little Italy

By DFW Quartz Countertops |

First time trying Maggiano's Little Italy and was not disappointed. I ordered the chocolate layered cake with chocolate mousse layered in between the cake slices. Rarely do I eat dessert, but this was an amazing slice of chocolate cake. The slice of cake was moist and very tasty.

Great Happy Hour and Great Food

By Mojoanna |

Love Maggiano's and everything I've ordered there is really good. Just went there for Happy Hour during the holidays, and found out they have a really good one. And the staff and servers were over the top friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Very nice!

By Margaret B |

We were at Northpark mall and noticed there was a Maggiano’s there. We decided to have dinner on a Friday evening. There were three of us and we got seated right away. Mark was our server and he was very friendly, informative and took good care of us. We decided we would share two entrées among the three of us. And that worked out very well because the portions at my Maggiano’s are huge! We also shared a chopped salad and we really enjoyed that! Our entrées were a sautéed red fish which was a daily special and veal piccata which is always on the menu. The house bread is delicious with olive oil. Mark offered olive oil and balsamic vinegar but I don’t like balsamic vinegar so I added Parmesan and salt and pepper to the olive oil and it is a delicious way to eat that warm wonderful bread at Maggiano‘s. We didn’t try dessert because there was no room. But we enjoyed our meal very much and would highly recommend it to you.

Great service so so food

By 69wildman |

We eat off the lunch menu ordering off the classic pasta menu. The meat ball was good but the sauce was middle of the road. Not bad but surly not great. Great decor and wine but not sure if the spot deserves a revisit

It'sa good place to eat

By Nick N |

They offered a few unique items (Bourbon Bloody Mary for one), have good food (lasagna and veal were tasty), good, not great waitstaff in a somewhat pleasant setting. The food was a little pricey $85 for two, no dessert. It is definitely worth a return.

Long wait poor service

By Mark |

The servings are too large. We split a meal, thankfully. One waiter tripped and spilled a lot of food that knocked over a chair next to us. Thankfully, no food was spilled on us, but the floor near us was a mess and there was a little whiplash from the chair. No real apologies were offered. No waiter was hurt. It was hard to get out of our seat upon leaving because furniture was not moved back to original position and floor was not back to original safe condition. The Veal Parm was OK, but a little too greasy. Olive oil for bread was boring. No pepper or spices were offered.

Book your Next Banquet Event at Maggiano's

By Winston C |

We have had three events with Maggiano's Banquet...Wedding Anniversary, Son's Birthday Party and Mother's 80th Birthday brunch. I will tell you that Maggiano's delivers outstanding service, quality and a wonderful atmosphere for gatherings. Banquet manager Dustin Koontz is an absolute delight to work with. He will take you step by step and offer favorable suggestions that will make your event unforgettable. The room set up was perfect and they can accommodate every A/V need as well as table and outlets for a DJ. Wait staff are pleasant and attentive. If you are planning an event, start with Maggiano's first. You'll be glad you did.

Great Italian meal in a classic environment

By E H |

We loved the decor in this restaurant, nice woodwork, checkered table cloths, great pictures in the walls. The servings are HUGE. Way too much to eat, the way Italian should be done. Long Island iced tea was very strong. Bruschetta sampler was amazing with 5 different unique flavors. Side salads, Caesar and Maggiano's were good and fresh. We had the mushroom ravioli and the beef contadina which were so very tasty but again the portions were gigantic so come hungry. We finished with the cheesecake which was the best we've ever had and came with a berry sauce that was not overpowering. Very nice meal in a great classic Italian atmosphere, very clean and nice music playing. Lighting was awesome. We will be back.

Disappointing in So Many Ways

By Lee F |

Have had so many pleasant meals here that I hate to complain, but bartender was inattentive and just didn’t provide service I would expect. Prepared EVOO and balsamic vinegar dip, but did not bring hot bread in timely manner. Had to be asked for silverware set ups despite us ordering food. Forgot to add to go pasta until reminded. Was slow to respond to others wanting drinks at bar. Food was OK, although I asked for salad to be split and had to do that myself with mostly my fingers. Salmon was over cooked. I can forgive the bartender who said he had only worked a week, but where was management oversight with customers with empty or no drinks for extended periods of time. Amount of time spent away from bar in kitchen seemed inordinate. Finally, if employees are so intent on watching TV, get them a TV away from the bar. Finally, what used to be a cozy restaurant has become a nondescript grey space.

Wonderful!

By Ashley Richards |

The food was beyond excellent but it was the service that really made our visit exceptional! We will definitely be back!

Awesome

By Jack G |

The best Italian restaurant in Texas. My wife and I travel to Dallas about every three or four months just to eat at Maggiano"s. The food, no matter what the dish is superb. The service is excellent and for great food and service, I give 5 stars. It's not expensive if you don't add alcohol.

Elton is awesome!

By Zach V |

5 star service! Elton, our server was awesome! Will definitely be going back to see him! Great food also! Thank you, Elton!

Very Good Italian Food

By Faisal N |

Excellent quality Itslian food but rather expensive. The house red wine matched the food quality and would be inclined to go again whenever we are in the Dallas area. Very good service by intelligent looking waiters. Enjoyable experience for the whole family, and when they knew my wife had a birthday s few days earlier, they brought a singer to our table and sang the BD song along with s free dessert.

Surprise

By Sylvia G |

We come here because of the excellent customer service & the getting 2 meals for the price of 1. Today was a true surprise. For the 1st time we had various issues. Glasses were dirty, 1 even had lipstick. Then our food arrives & I take a bite 2 only have this bitter nasty taste. I kept chewing but the food seamed to stay the same. Finally I spit it out in2 a napkin 2 only find a piece of green rubber band. That's why I could not chew the darn thing. Totally disgusting. They immediately replaced the dish & apologized. I guess today was not their day. The mozzarella sticks also had a taste of stale. Overall everyone else's food was good. In the end they discounted the meal with the rubber band without us asking. It will be a while before we return. I have attached a picture of the rubber band in my food. This is totally not expected from a place like this but I guess there's always a 1st.

Mediocre food

By Metody |

Limp salad, overly salty sauce mushroom ravioli, lasagna tasted like chef boy arde sauce. Service was good. Peach lemonaide wasnt very good either.

Sunday lunch

By Jack B |

Nice lunch with friends. Very generous servings. Good value. We already discussing when to go back. Tables are pretty close together and it was crowded making it a little difficult to hear each other.

Never Disappoints!

By miscellani |

We’ve eaten at this Maggiano’s many times over the years and it is always a wonderful experience - from the attentive service to the perfectly done meal. They have a chef visit the table if you have celiac/need gluten free options so that is a very nice thing for them to do to ensure your food is safe. I love their beef tenderloin medallions with crispy potatoes and the chicken francese with arugula salad is a family favorite as well. Their eggplant parmigiana is also delicious. For dessert, try the creme brûlée (which is gluten free), the Italian spumoni ice cream, or the apple crostada. You really can’t go wrong here... enjoy.

Serving Brunch on Sunday, Regular menu suffering

By Donald W |

Last Sunday was their first day for Brunch (3/5/2017) They were pushing the Brunch menu. I did not go for Brunch, I wanted lunch. We had the Chopped Salad and it was very good, as it has always been. We had the Chicken Francese, the chicken was good but the sauce was very weak, could not taste the lemon and very little sauce. We also had the Chicken Piccata, same about the sauce, came out of the same pan. The chicken was cooked very well, almost burned. I opted for the saluted spinach (Yes I eat and like spinach) it was horrible. The green beans were good. The Bread Was the same as it has always been and we like it a lot.

Excellent Food & Service

By Ellen34134 |

We ate at the Maggiano’s restaurant at the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport in Concourse C. We had the most delicious bruschetta ever!! Marlo was our server and she was terrific! She was efficient and friendly. We totally enjoyed our visit!

Not Worth It

By Patrick M |

Stopped in here for lunch. The staff was friendly enough and attentive. I ordered the lasagna and when it came out it was hot on the edges but stone cold in the middle, obviously microwaved. The flavor wasn't great either. I would not go come back to this establishment.

Very good Italian meal

By porkman |

Ate here on a Friday night. Ordered just spaghetti and meat ball with a beer. All food was very good. Meat ball was huge, bread was warm and tasty, beer was cold. Service was excellent. And, they gave me a take home portion of the entree at no cost. Overall, very good.

Oh! The Ambience!

By bruce120 |

This restaurant was highly recommended to us so we decided to go while visiting Dallas. Upon walking in, you are immediately hit with the ambiance, the atmosphere. Beautiful woodwork, staircase, tables settings, music and the smell of the food. You know you're going to enjoy yourself. We had a great waiter. The food was delicious and there is lite food for nearly everything. Delicious! This place is a must!

Great place for events

By WhitePolarBear |

It's a wonderful place to host an event. They tailor the menu for our group's preference and need. We hosted an event there for a group of 60 people. We had a three courses meal at lunch hours and they allowed us to plenty of time for the room. Food and service are always among the highest quality.

I love their food and the service is good

By Nikki M |

Maggiano's food and brunch is really good. Thank you for the 2 months of $2 mimosas. My favorite brunch items is the crab cake Benedict. I wish they hadn't gotten rid of those brunch muffins, those were really good. For lunch/dinner I'm a fan of the cheese ravioli, Rigatoni D, Braised beef pappardelle, lasagna and Gigi's butter cake with a side of carmel...delicious every time. The service is usually very good, I've only had a couple mediocre service experiences in years of going to this restaurant. I will be back!

Thanksgiving meal

By Taylor P |

This thanksgiving 4 course family style meal was amazing. The service was terrific, the menu was extensive, and all was well priced.

Four Cheese Ravioli was Amazing!

By Whitney K |

Had dinner at the Maggiano’s in the Dallas airport since we had a few hours here. I got the four cheese ravioli with pesto sauce, and it was soo good! The plate was huge so I thought I wouldn’t finish it, but it was too good to waste any. The service was fast and attentive as well. Good experience!

Breakfast and Lunch

By wendyquest |

I've been here several times for lunch and dinner and even for some banquet events (the banquet rooms are upstairs). I really love the fact that they have actual chefs on staff and can alter almost anything if you suffer from allergies or just don't like certain ingredients. The service is excellent. We ordered Pumpkin pancakes as an appetizer (which were delicious). I usually order the Rigatoni-D (one of my favorites) but I thought I'd try one of the beef dishes instead (Braised Beef Contadina). We also got the Duck with Gnocci off the monthly special menu which was a little disappointing (not very much duck meat). The Kid's mac-n-cheese is not traditional (see photo) - it's more of white cheese with large ziti pasta. Some kids might not like it. The other thing is if you want sides, you have to buy those separately and they are a little pricey but the portion is big. If you have a large group, it's more fun to do the family-style menu (where they bring dishes out to share). The desserts are also good. My only real complaint are the restrooms - the stalls are tiny and almost impossible to share with small children. There is a convenient to-go counter in the hallway if the wait is too long or you order online for pickup. Avoid waiting for a table by making reservations online.

Top of the Line Italian

By Phillip K |

This is no Olive Garden. Carrabas is nice but does not hold a candle to this place. Although this is a chain restaurant, it is high end. The atmosphere is very elegant and invokes a bygone era of Italian heritage. We had the Shrimp Diavola and the Lobster Carbonara. Wonderful. Great food and good value.

Relaxing

By Louis D |

What can I say, my wife enjoys the restaurant more than I, that's why we came. The good thing is they are constant no matter were you go.

Food Was Good

By Jack H |

I think Maggiano’s provides good value. Not an amazing place with memorable food or service, but for the money spent, very nice.

Consistently delicious

By Nasema M |

For a quality meal in a relaxed atmosphere, it has to be Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant. We went for a casual dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. We all enjoyed happy hour cocktails at the bar before dinner. Considering it was a Tuesday night, the place had a decent crowd, but no wait for a table. Bartender could have been more attentive as my glass did get to empty before I saw him again, but it didn't take long.

Lunch while waiting for a flight

By Richardlbailey |

Average at best. I go to the Maggiano's in Denver every time I get a chance and live it. However, this one did not meet my expectations. Food was good but average. Service was less than average. Once we received our food, the server never came back except to give us our bill. Even then, you would have thought we were asking for a kidney when we asked the server to split the bill. I guess this is what to expect in an airport.

Good Food- poor service

By kpmconsulting |

We can count on being seated near a trash bin or server station! And I always ask to move! I come here more often since La Duni closed in he same mall. I love the light version of chicken picatta and the Maggiano salad. When in the mood for a cocktail, I recommend the Italian Tea (ask for it to be less sweet)

Bad Tables

By Victoria T |

The tables were uneven and you could not put a glass done. My water spilled everywhere and my new shoes were ruined. The waiter did nothing about it. Food was just ok.

Great food! Love this place!

By boymomdfw |

I don't usually come to this location of Maggiano's, but we were in the area. My family got the family style meal and loved everything. You get to pick one appetizer, one salad, 2 pastas, and two meats, and then two desserts! Only thing was the waitress told us it is not bottomless any more. That was disappointing. But, we were stuffed none the less. Yum! Highly recommend the Rigatoni D. That's the best!

Little Italy

By Oscar Ceballos |

Great food! This was my first time at a Maggianos, since it is at the airport, I guess the menu was shorter than at a regular restaurant, but still the food was great Try the soaghetti and meatballs or the lasagna, those are some of their best dishes. I will definetly go back to a Maggianos the next time I can

A go to place for real deal Italian

By DMD Ranches |

Heard about this place from a co worker and will be my go to place when in town. This is real deal Italian made from scratch. Save room for chocolate cake!!!

Magnifico!!

By Expatwife09 |

Wow!! What a beautiful place!! The tables all set very nice with beautiful linen, very cozy as well. We had our dinner and not once we need to ask for more water or anything else, all the servers were very professional and took care of any need even before we knew that there was a need!!! The food was presented beautiful and tasted wonderful! We will be go back for sure and bring some friends to have the same wonderful experience we had!!!

Sunday lunch with church friends

By Jack B |

We enjoyed a nice lunch with friends. Food was good. Service deliberate, but pleasant. We enjoyed the waiter's humor. Most of us chose pasta dishes that allowed us to take a second one home. In addition, the servings were so generous that we took about half of that home as well. We enjoyed the left overs two days later and still have what will be 2 more meals for the two of us.

Mother's day dinner was a delight

By Donovan O |

We were able to get a reservation for 8 and we were given a table in a secluded area, which made it a great experience. It was a late dinner, but all the food was very fresh and the server did a very good job even though it was late. Garlic bread was very good and my filet mignon was cooked perfectly.

Great for group events

By TravelManagerLoveIt |

This restaurant is big! I couldn't get over the number of private dining rooms and meeting space/dining rooms on top of the regular restaurant seating. I was a speaker at a private VIP dinner for a client and for my first-ever visit to this restaurant, I was impressed. The staff were wonderful and very attentive. The decor and facilities were great. The food- well, there was plenty of it (served family style) and it was delicious! It's just a shame that we didn't eat it all, but we were so full! The pastas, the salads, the entrees and the desserts were not only plentiful, but filling and tasty.

Ask for Thomas

By Daniel K |

I recommend that Italian food lovers go here, ask for Thomas, tell him what you especially like, and let him suggest a great meal for you. This place has extremely great food and service, and a really nice ambiance. Yes!!

Unprofessional - Large Black Parties BEWARE

By Stacy M |

Met at Maggiano's Little Italy for my Sister and close Friend's Birthday on 12/21/21. The party of 10 grew to about 14, and the staff kept focusing on the fact that the count went up instead of focusing on seating paying customers. We literally waited for 2 hours, and when speaking to the manager about the continous wait, he was totally and completely rude, and went back to the fact that the 10 went to 14. Most good service restaurants can think on their toes to accommodate large parties, not this manager and staff. They ended up putting our party in the area behind the bar, at TWO separate tables. The waiter even came to the table with the same conversation, this is what happens when a party of 10 turns to 14. Well if this restaurant could update their website to accommodate larger parties, the staff would not get upset when CUSTOMERS need to be accommodated. I'm sure if we were of the proper persuasion, THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED.

5/5!

By Om And Nom |

I'm trying to limit the 5 star ratings that I give out...give too many, and it diminishes the rating. However, Maggiano's truly deserves 5/5 because quite simply, it's my favorite Italian place to eat! Sure it's kind of a chain, but the food is excellent, most of it is made from scratch, there's a great upscale-type atmosphere, and the price is right! Awesome menu variety too, something for everyone! Serve some bread at the beginning, had an appetizer of a tomato caprese salad (great!), and Mom's Lasagna, which I would recommend to ANY carb-lover. Their mozzarella cheese is off the chain, BIG pieces of fried goodness! Not to mention they decorate for Christmas! Tip: Make a reservation around the holidays, people were walking up without one and the wait was up to 2.5 hours.

Great Business Lunch

By RochesterIBC |

Stopped here to meet some business clients. This was my first time visiting Dallas (a quick pass through) and first time meeting these clients. Maggiano's had very nice ambience, upscale and perfect for a business lunch. Service was exceptional and quick. The food choices were plentiful. All four of us greatly enjoyed our lunch. My 3 business guests had eaten here before so they knew the quality, and quantity, of food. The reputation of the place precedes itself. I was impressed and would certainly recommend this place for a business lunch. I would absolutely return if in the area again.

Amazing Five Star Place

By Gail M |

Amazing menu choices! Super service! Sunday brunch menu. If you are looking for some great Italian food, this would be the place. They have one choice of gluten free pasta. The chef is available to come out to discuss your options if you are looking for gluten free dishes. Fabulous desserts.

Lovin It!

By leroy1721 |

OMG!!! Delicious! Eggplant Parmagian, stuffed mushrooms, calmari.....grat place to eat! Big band music, rat pack tunes-very enjoyable!

Great food and service

By Omar R |

I have been to this restaurant twice for business meetings and both times the food was excellent. The salad is just perfect. The entrees were freshly prepared and served. The desserts were simply yummy. The staff was superb with their service. Very friendly and attentive. Keep up the good work.

Better Than Ever!

By Kay W |

We just celebrated my husband's retirement here with our children and grandchildren, and we were thrilled with everything about this family dinner. Because there were more than 8 of us, we pre-ordered family-style, and it went beautifully. Everything we ate was fresh, tasty, and lovely. Courses came out in bowls and on platters, three for the table each time, and there were many of them. Check their website to look at the family-style dinner menu for choices. The service was timed perfectly, everything was fresh and hot, dishes (there were a lot!) cleared away promptly - everything went perfectly. Kudos for management making sure there are just no issues with an event like this.

Great good great service.

By jim c |

This is always a wonderful place to eat at a great mall. The best is always buy one pasta and get a free one to take home. The master chef is walking around to make sure you are happy with the food.

Excellent Lunch (Food and Service)!

By JoInTexas |

Our multigenerational family had lunch here today and we were warmly welcomed with a 3 year old and a 5 year old. Haley (I believe was her name) was our server and she was outstanding. The kids loved the lemonade and the cheese pizza. The adults loved the chicken piccata light version, the spaghetti and meatballs and the lasagna (some of the best in Dallas!). With the two classic pasta entrees, we got one of each to take home. Great deal! Great experience!

Lasagna

By Rose P |

I treated my brother to lunch for his birthday on June 6th. I had the lasagna which was so good… the best I have ever had (saucy, full of meat)! At Maggiano's, you get a free meal to take home. Since the lasagna was so awesome, I choose one to take home. I was so disappointed when I opened the container; the lasagna was dry…..I got noodles, ricotta cheese and spaghetti sauce. That’s just wrong!

Disappointed

By Linda S |

We went to Maggiano's after a day of mall shopping. Restaurant was nice and clean. Chicken Marsala was ordered and came with a pasta. The Marsala sauce was very thin and had no taste. My companion ordered a chicken dish that came with potatoes. Again the sauce was think with no taste. The potatoes were good. When the waiter asked if we wanted more bread, we said 'yes.' It never came. I would not give our waiter or the food a good review. Very disappointed after the price we paid and will not return.

Less Than Expected

By TravelingNan32 |

We stopped in here on Friday evening of Columbus Day weekend and the place was very busy. We were seated in the back corner and waited for everything. The drinks, the food, the check. I ordered the chicken and spinach manicotti thinking the manicotti would be stuffed with spinach and chicken and garnished with the sauce. Unfortunately I did not interpret the menu correctly and the plate was covered in Alfredo sauce and the manicotti contained cheese and very little chicken and spinach. What a disappointment! When the server finally came around to inquire about our meals, everyone had already finished eating. He noted that I must not have liked mine. I said that I did not expect the dish to be drowning in sauce and missing most of the key ingredients. He did not offer to remove the dish from the bill or offer anything else as consolation. What he did offer was an attitude. There is a way to treat a bad situation and make it right. Unfortunately, he missed the opportunity to set things right. Since I am from out of town, I cannot say if there are better Italian places in Dallas but my advice is to pass on this chain restaurant and look for an authentic family run eatery.

Waiting on our flight

By Gallagher's |

Maggianos is always a treat. We weren't disappointed at Dallas Love Airport when we dined at the just opened restaurant. Great food as always. Great service as always. Shout out to our server Rasheed who was excellent!

Bad experience last time I visited

By Slythe777 |

If you come here, get the Rigatoni 'D. It's one of the best things on the menu. Last time I came, the waiter ignored us for at least 15 minutes. It was 15 minutes too long as we decided to leave.

Italian Elegance

By tommywilliams91 |

Service, food, and atmosphere are top notch. Sinatra music playing...attentive waiter with spot on menu and wine advice...elegant dining room...welcoming bar.

Is your Grandma missing?

By Michael E |

Is your Grandma missing? Cause someone's Grandma is in Maggiano's kitchen cooking up a storm. You don't need to be a family to eat Family Style. Loosen your belt but not your wallet. It's all good! I buy a jar of their salad dressing, marinate shrimp in it, and then but them on the grill. Great! I guess I need to say something negative - I hate their toothpicks.

Careless staff and Decadent Place

By Pily Torres M |

This place was excelente a long time ago now it is on decline, the staff especially the waiters and the hostess are lazy and careless they don’t care about to providing a good service. Avoid going to that place!!!!

Excellent /Perfect

By nicbit31 |

We do not have one of these in Louisiana so it's always a treat to visit! Appetizers and pasta were great! Flavors used for the Bruchetta appetizer, strawberry jam and pear and gorgonzola good combination. Desserts were hard to choose from but got the warm butter cake in a marspone Chez sauce. Prices were good less than I expected, waiter was on point!

Mediocre Italian

By PopsRod |

They were very busy with the holiday traffic. Our experience was really a solid ‘2’. It started off with dirty glassware. The waiter chalked it up to the waterproof lipstick in vogue today. Should we care why? Dirty is dirty. Our waiter’s attention was nominal at best. Breadbasket remained empty far too long. All of our food came out tepid to cool. He wasn’t available to flag down. It obviously sat too long on the serving table. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. The breading was too heavy and overpowered the eggplant. All I tasted was breading. Pasta and gravy was overcooked. It was the consistency of ‘Spaghetti O’s’. Not going back...

Maggianos is a favorite of mine. The staff is great, the food is plenteous. Meals are served family style, and they send the leftovers home with you!

nice spot to eat while wating on flight

By DKLAG |

recently visited as I was traveling thru Dallas. Very busy airport so there was a bit of a wait. I got a seat at the bar. Nice wine section. settled on a super tuscan. for dinner, had the Ziti. pretty good for airport food, above average for sure. Bartenders and waitstaff are very attentive.

Wait staff excellent menu changes not impressive

The menu has changed, emphasis on Wagu beef. I think the menu has been lessened. The lasagna was different than previously. More spicy less noodles and cheese. Vegetable such as carrots added. Neither my husband or I enjoyed it as much as the previous recipe. Salad was good, amount smaller. Tiramisu was wonderful. Disappointed that there was a menu for two any longer. Also, removed the eat one take one choice. I did not see improvement in the menu. I think that it is more expensive to dine there but I will go less often. Andre our server was excellent. Decision makers- reevaluate the changes you have made. Reliable recipes are a draw for me. I will not go back to a restaurant where I spent a large amount of money if the food quality is not maintained! I do not know who makes the decisions about restaurant menu changes but I would like it if real customers were involved.

Huge portions!

You can count on Maggiano's good food, fair prices, and an extra order to take home free of charge if you order from a specific portion of the menu. Have never been disappointed.

Poor service

Good food but service was slow. I had a reservation for 1pm. Got there early and still didn't get us seated until 1:15. Then my son's meal came 15 minutes after everyone else's. Very frustrating.

Good but not great

By 860SusanB860 |

I last dined here with a group celebrating a birthday. Service was average - as was the food. The wine choices were very nice. The salads, bread, pasta, and desserts were all run-of-the-meal Italian dishes. The portions were big, just nothing extraordinary. I didn't hate it - just didn't love it.

Weekend away

This was our first time eating here. OMG, absolutely the best Italian food we have ever had. We had the 4 cheese ravioli and the lasagna, fantastic. Great food and great service. We will definitely return.

Great Italian at DFW

By Brian M |

I arrived early on a flight and decided to lunch in the airport. I was surprised at Maggiano's Little Italy. Great food. I had the Italian sausage flat bread. Great presentation and very tasty. White cloth table cloths. I significant step above standard airport fare. Total bill was $23 with a large glass of wine.

Garlic and Caper Breathe never tasted so zgood!

Wow. Great lunch with friends, amazing bread wonderful Pino Grizio. Chicken piccanta with fabulous pasta side. Great friends Gus and Gylnn and Shirley. Awesome experience with a handsome smart and funny waiter..totally perfect. Best Italian ever.. and to top it off the waiter says do you want a free serving of pasta to go? Heck ya... but I was getting on a plane. I SHALL RETURN.

Food was Amazing and great service by Pete!

By Danielle P |

We were leaving Dallas and decided to stop for a bite to eat. I am sooo glad we did. The food and service were excellent. Pete gave us some really good recommendations. I'm a vegetarian so he suggested I should try the fettuccine alfredo and add spinach to it. It was great. The appetizers were AMAZING! We had the fried zucchini and spinach and artichoke al forno. Again, AMAZING! It was so good I couldn't finish my meal. On Pete's recommendation, we shared the banana cheesecake dessert. I had my first foodgasm. It was awesome. I will definitely go back when I visit Dallas again. Pete was very nice, funny, and made us very comfortable.

Wow- don't look for a low calorie meal here. I had the vegetarian pasta- my wife had the four cheese ravioli-- definitely delicious- not going to make it on a long term lose weight diet. Kudos to the chef. Boo to the scale

Great location and service, good food.

The reviews of this place in lovely Northpark Mall were only 31/2 stars, but we went there anyway because it was so convenient to our hotel. The place is huge and hectic, but front reception staff were very welcoming and flexible, assuring us we could just walk in with no reservation. Along with a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, I ordered the scampi with angelhair pasta which was well seasoned and proportioned-- very good. We dined in the bar which was quieter than the main dining room, and were happy with our service there. Overall, Maggiano's of Northpark made for a very enjoyable Dallas evening.

Last Christmas Eve family dinner at Maggiano’s

By WanderingWayfarer |

We’ve done Christmas Eve dinner at Maggiano’s for years. I personally look forward to the entree sized House Salad every year…my absolute favorite! Prepare yourself…they’ve revamped it and it’s not good. Literally almost everything about it is different…large leaf spring mix lettuce instead of iceberg, HUGE diced red onions (and there was about a half of a red onion in mine), bacon instead of pancetta, the dressing is a bit different and not sweet anymore, so much blue cheese it was overwhelming all the other flavors. My daughter always gets the Caesar salad and they’ve changed that one as well-she liked the old version better. Since I make the dinner plans each year and my standby is no more, we’ll be picking another restaurant next year. If the house salad is your favorite, I have a feeling many people will be disappointed in the new version.

Vastlly improved

Since my last visit, Maggiano's is vastly improved. I had the 3 cheese ravioli and it was delicious. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Great place to visit

By Piter_Londono |

I went in for a bussiness dinner and it was fantastic. Only gentlemen serving which is no common but all of them so polite and smily. the food was very tasty and the place is wonderful. a little pricey but nothing to complain about.

Fantastic!

By Nathaniel |

The ceaser salad was cold, fresh and refreshing. The calzone sauce has a full robust flavor that pairs nicely with the bread. We ordered an 18” Don pizza and I highly recommend it! Will easily feed a party of 4-6 depending on hunger level. Maggiano’s is right off the trolley and very easy to get to. Highly recommend!

VERY WEIRD TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES after 30 years' regular dining-I'm sad.

By Russell P |

SAD to leave this, but after dining here regularly for approximately 30 years, and loving the atmosphere and food, my love affair with Maggiano's is ended. Won't return here. I've dined at Maggiano's (or attempted to) 3 times this month, and something went wrong each time. First, and not really any big deal, I received the wrong entree and just went ahead and gave it to my friend as a to go order because I'd filled up on their excellent bread and salad and wasn't so very hungry by the time the entree arrived. Next, I reserved a booth in advance, as I always do because I have a broken back (lumbar3,4, and 5) and it's painful to sit in their tiny uncomfortable chairs. Upon arrival, I was informed by a polite but totally unconcerned hostess that my reservation for a booth couldn't be fulfilled, and " there's at least a 20 minute wait" for a booth. Weirdly, there was an empty booth against the far wall, and they seated a couple in a booth right before me! I had to leave because I had only a little over an hour allotted for lunch and couldn't wait for a 'maybe' in at least 20 minutes. So I called Scott, the GM, and he very nicely took my email, apologizing, and offered to buy next time I came in, and to ask for him. Over the next few days no email arrived, so I figured I'd stop in and ask for him, per his invitation, and figured that's what he meant when he told me to ask for him. Guess where my next business client, whose family owns 5 (or6?) Dallas area top Mexican restaurants suggested we dine? Maggiano's! We arrived, asked for Scott, was told he was off, and another manager, Gustavo, stopped by and I explained the story to him. He offered to buy dinner, and my dining partner said he'd pay for his meal, and all I ordered was calamari. Before the appetizers arrived, Gustavo stopped by again, said he'd called Scott, who was '"mad," and that he "wasn't going to buy dinner!!!" I was also told I could take it up with Scott the next day! My dining partner again offered to buy everything, but we were both put off by the complete change in Gustavo's demeanor, which was condescending, and delivered with a smirk! The entire time, I was polite, and so was my client. My client was getting more offended and angry by the minute by our treatment by a restaurant manager, as was I so we left after canceling with the server, who btw, has served me many times very nicely, and recognizes me each time I arrive. I called Scott, the GM, and was told he " mailed" gift certificates to me ( he DID NOT because I hadn't given him my address) and then told me he emailed them (he didn't, I re-checked) and huffily told me he apologized but managers aren't allowed to comp food! In my own experience, as a former GM in the city's top grossing 2 restaurants, I was dumbstruck by this assertion, especially after the unpleasant way I was treated by a hostess and manager twice in a row. Very sorry to say goodbye to a favorite dining venue, frequently visited by my friends, family, clients, and especially myself. Sigh...bye!

Goodbye Ambiance

By KFM9275 |

It’s a good thing that the food was even better than the last time we were here. The renovation, still in progress, is a disappointment. No more red & white checkered tablecloths, and the new lighting is very bright. Little Italy is a thing of the past.

Fantastic event

By 2journeys |

After attending a wonderful private birthday party at Maggiano’s last August, we booked one of their rooms for our 50th anniversary celebration. Again the experience was excellent in every way—beautiful space, delicious food, and stellar service. Everyone had a great time, and our guests were highly complimentary. It was a fabulous evening!

Dependable Italian Food

By Lee F |

Best thing on menu is chopped salad and I would be happy to stop there. Bread is good and served with both butter and EVOO/balsamic vinegar. Portions are enormous and they give you one to take along on many of the pasta dishes. Very good, very traditional Italian food. Desserts are good, and they usually have a "special" which happened to be limoncello tiramisu on our last visit--- delicious.

Tasting visit

Came to taste bits of things for a party being planned for May. Whopping huge amount of food that was all very tasty and we settled on the menu for the party.

Poor holiday service

By Jo Ann P |

We were a family of nine with confirmed reservations at 6:30, Maggianos actually called to confirm reservations the day before for Thanksgiving dinner. Arrived early, had some drinks in bar and was shown to table by 6:35ish. First hint of trouble was an impatient server, actually heaved a sigh during ordering, then reported a dessert was not available, ok, not a problem, probably wasn’t going to order it anyway. Appetizers, salad and entrees arrived (food was delicious) and when requested additional refills (never a problem problem with family style), server reported the kitchen had closed at 7 and no further dishes could be brought out! Well sigh, not going to let this bring us down, just bring our dessert with after dinner drinks, nope, server returns and said bar is closed. At this point family member who is a restaurant manager himself spoke to manager and obtained after dinner drinks. My questions, if you are going to close the restaurant at 7, why do you take reservations for 6:30? Why did server not let us know kitchen and bar was closing? We had CONFIRMED reservations and a very poor dining experience, two bowls of spaghetti with TWO meatballs was not adequate for a table of nine. To seat a party then proceed to close the restaurant and not provide the stated menu is unacceptable.

Best Italian in Texas!

By Luke |

This place had great service, amazing food, and an awesome atmosphere. The food options are vast. Entree highlights were rib-eye bone in, ravioli, chicken masala, and Alfredo. Dessert portions are oversized, so save room.

Easter Buffet

We took my mother out to eat on Easter and enjoyed a wonderful buffet. Great selection and good service. Very enjoyable.

Great food for a quick meal.

Quick and easy. The food is great and they are very aware of your time constraints. Better than the fast food places in the airport.

Daughter's bday lunch

By P J |

A full day of activities brought my tweet and her friends to NP mall for shopping and lunch. They wanted Italian food, so we stopped here. The setting and decor were pleasant in the large well-lit front dining room. Our server was very attentive and hospitable. The menu could benefit from offering lighter pasta portions for lunch as they do with the sandwiches - half sandwich w/ a salad (I may have missed it on the menu). To add another take-home pasta serving was a surprise. The food (pasta, flatbread, sandwiches) was average for a restaurant chain, and we would return for the convenience of the location. Because the servings were so large, we opted to not have dessert. But the server was kind enough to comp a small sample size cheesecake for my daughter (with her name inscribed in chocolate on the plate) to blow out a candle and have some staff members sing "Happy birthday." That was a nice touch.

Excellence!

By Jamsline M |

While waiting for my flight at Dallas airport I decided to try Maggiano's Little Italy across from Gate 17 in Terminal C. I was a little sick and needed to be served in an isolated area. The manager was so accommodating! The food was excellent and the bar tender and the server catered to my every need. I ordered a Lasagna and it was delicious! I wanted a sweet wine and they accommodated me with the Sangria and spritz! I bothered John every 5 minutes and he didn't mind at all!

Great food. Friendly service

By Brian L |

We loved everything we ate. Salmon Oscar and a seafood Alfredo. Didn’t get an appetizer because the bread was so good. TC was our server and he was super friendly, great attitude. The food coming out from the kitchen took a long time. We were almost late for our show, that was the only issue. Would definitely go again. Just a bit earlier.

Amazing experience

By Tim B |

Never been here, found it was highly rated on Trip Advisor so we went. We normally go to a close chain restaurant but had a bad experience so tried this one today. This is located at Northpark Mall. They validate valet parking and there is a parking stand right outside. We sit down, the waiter took a little while at first, I noticed he was dressed different, he had on a black shirt versus everyone else in white shirts. I learned later that he was working at the bar in addition to waiting on a few dining room tables. Besides the delay at the beginning, he did great. He asked if we had ever been there, we said no, he left and one of the sous chefs came to our table to let us know about the freshness of their food and ingredients. We were impressed by that type of attention. We had an appetizer and some flatbread. The food is fresh and amazing. The risotto pepperoni balls were spot on and tasted amazing. The homemade sausage flatbread pizza was also great. It is easy to tell the freshness of all the food. We took most of our food to go and was pleasantly surprised when we got home and found our food containers identified by handwritten notes of what it was on containers that had reheating instructions! Overall all great meal, a hidden gem that I am glad we found. This is a large place but has a small italian cafe, homey feel to it. This will be our to go place at Northpark Mall.

Theft

By Angiem8 |

5 Credit cards were stolen out of my purse while seated in the bar area. Someone sitting behind me was able to access my purse hanging on a hook next to my seat , remove my wallet go through it and take five credit cards out and replace my wallet. When I went to pay for the meal, the waiter did acknowledge someone was sitting behind me and left abruptly when she did not have her ID for a drink. The manager did not report the criminal activity to the police and told us there were no cameras in the restaurant. Be very careful at this location keep an eye on your money and credit cards. I never left my seat the entire time.

Good food; terrible service

By jpatter1 |

Had a business lunch today. Waiter asked for our order. We asked for two more minutes. He disappeared. Did not see him again. Very poor service for the rest of the meal.

Excellent food and Service

By Kevin W |

We went to brunch, and I must say it was excellent. The food was great reminded me of home back in Chicago where this place originated. The chef came out to the table and greeted our party of 9 the waitress was everything that you would want when dinning out. She new the menu, was very attentive, and went above and beyond to see that we were happy. Whoever the manager is that person is lucky to have such a great staff of people working for him/her. Will be back as always! Oh and try the Peach Bellini you will not be disappointed.

Order more

By Frank N |

I was under the misconception that all the dishes were family style. Called in a takeout order that would never have fed us. I had to order more food before leaving. I have yet to see their family style portions, but the individual dinners are definitely on the small side Food is from a chain, so don't expect an Italian grandma whipping up your dinner in the kitchen. It's passable, but nothing to get excited about

Elegant and delicious experience!

By Cecelia S |

I arrived early for a movie at the AMC and decided to treat myself to a real dinner instead of the typical fast food … Maggiano's was the perfect choice! The restaurant is warm and elegant, with dark wood walls, elegant holiday decorations, and red and white cloths on the tables. I was seated almost immediately and my waitress (Taylor) was attentive, well versed in the menu, and cheerful. I ordered one of the chef's special dinners, a pulled pork lasagna. It came with fresh bread (with oil and balsamic dipping bowl) and was served in a generous pool of rich marinara. The serving was more than healthy - a regular slab of lasagna, and was too good to leave any for left overs! But Maggiano's took care of that, with a special promotion - they sent home a pasta entrée with every meal ordered! I took home fettucine alfredo - which provided me with dinner and two lunches, it was such a large portion! Since I had time, I decided to REALLY indulge and ordered a slice of chocolate cake and some coffee to round out my meal. What I was served was pure decadence on a plate! I never expected to receive what can only be described as a HUNK of cake - multiple layers of delicious chocolate cake, filled with a rich chocolate mousse, and covered with a dark chocolate ganache! I literally carved a slice from the cake and took the rest home - and shared the rest with several friends! All of us were completely overwhelmed by the incredible taste and richness of the dessert! Being in NorthPark Center, the restaurant was wheelchair accessible, and even has an elevator for access to the upper floor private dining rooms, which I appreciated even though I did not need to utilize it. Definitely an excellent choice for dinner or lunch any time, not just when you happen to be shopping!

Good service, large portions, decent food

By utfiero |

I was on another business trip to Dallas and wanted Italian food. Maggiano's was down the street from my hotel, the Courtyard on North Central Expressway. Arrival/hostess: very pleasant hostess, prompt seating Overall dining experience: relaxed for a large restaurant but it still has a chain vibe Ambiance: New York City Italian Food: focus is on large portions rather than quality. But quality was pretty good. I had the veal marsala and enjoyed it. Also the tiramisu was very good. Cleanliness: overall clean

Not my kind of place

By Tony9876 |

To be fair, I'm not a big fan of Italian for dining out. I think I can make all this stuff at home easily and for a lot less. But I had eaten at a Maggiano's in Las Vegas with a group and thought I would give this location a try. So, for me, spending over $60 for two people to eat some basic lasagna and Fettuccine Alfredo is just not worth it. It's connected to a mall so parking is a bit difficult and neither the atmosphere inside nor the service were particularly good. Probably not a return trip here for me.

Great spot

By wick1979 |

Valet is right in front of the restaurant entrance. You don't have to go into the mall of you don't want to. Service is excellent. Great for business meetings. Nice lunch menu and always some good specials.

Excellent night

By missblackstar |

This is the type of restaurant you go to if you want to dress up and be surrounded by magnificence. The ambience, the decor, is just right and the customer service - they have it down to a T. I would go back here in a heartbeat. The food was hearty Italian and authentic.

couldn't believe it

By Emily H |

This was a family and friend birthday celebration for a party of 10. I ordered a salad with salmon. I read the description and it seemed okay. One bite of lettuce did not taste very good, but I kept eating. The salmon was good. Then I saw some little green pieces of something which I could not identify. It turned out I finally identified it as the dreaded jalapeño pepper, which I do not like and can not eat. My followers know I have GERD. I called the waiter over and complained to him. It was definitely not in the description. I don't care if 99% of the people love this pepper, as I do not. He offered to bring me a new salad but I said it was too late. The pepper had ruined my lettuce. I asked that he take the charge for the salad off the bill, which I assume he did. I never saw the bill. The other people I believe enjoyed their meals.

Good Food, Great Location

By reneeberr24 |

We were visiting the North Park mall from out of town and decided to give this restaurant a try. I was pleasantly surprised. They had many gluten free options, which can be a challenge to find when travelling. I had the sea bass and risotto and it was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and took great care of us. Some of the tables are kind of close together which can be a hindrance to the conversation at your table because of the conversations at the other tables. I'm finding this is a common theme at many restaurants. I would definitely return if I lived in the area. The food and price point were great.

Typical Maggiano's Visit

By ANR_78 |

My wife and I chose Maggiano's based on the proximity to our hotel. There wasn't a wait so we got right in and got our orders placed. The meal was typical for the restaurant and the service was fair but it always seems too pricey for the decor and the ambiance. No issues and we had a nice time but nothing extraordinary.

Good food

By TheFunFoodie |

I’m at more of 3.5 for Maggiano’s than a 4. Good food but not great. Good service, but not great. The servings are huge. I don’t hate it. I just wish they’d try a little harder...

Love the atmosphere and friendly servers

By Dick A Wagner |

Yes, the food is delicious and the drinks are even better. We usually eat at the bar and the bartenders are great. The bruschetta bar is excellent, and the filet mignon is our favorites.

Always Delicious!

By nowpacking |

There is something about being able to consistently offer amazing food and great service and to be able to do for years and years! The Rigatoni D, which is a specialty of Maggiano's, is always served with the delicious and creamy sauce, lots of tender chicken and mushrooms! You just always know it will be yummy and perfect! The bread is so delicious too! Chocolate cake was yummy too but did not quite make me swoon - next time I will order the cheesecake - it is amazing!

Great good!

By mimisherman2016 |

We Ubered from City Center to North Park because we wanted really good Italian food. Magianno's in Houston is wonderful so we were not disappointed to find the same in North Park. We elected to be seated in the bar because of long Saturday night waits and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Lydia, served us quickly and efficiently. I had the 8 oz. center cut filet with asparagus. It was double delicious and cooked med rare, just right!! My friend had veal parm also delicious and really good red gravy on the pasta. I highly recommend this restaurant.

From the great service, to the superb preparation on the ziti and flatbread, definitely recommend this location as a go-to chain! Flavorful, great atmosphere. Have the tiramisu for dessert!

Food was delicious, service impeccable!

We were a party of 7 and each of us had something different. We chose lasagna, steak and grilled veggies, spaghetti with meatballs, four cheese ravioli, chicken piccata, Caesar salad and chicken Francese. Everything was delicious Our waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. We did not want for anything! We will definitely dine here when we return to Dallas

Lunch with friends

By Jack B |

We have eaten here before and were delighted when friends invited us to join them for lunch after church. Parking is difficult, but this restaurant offers free valet parking so keep this in mind. It's a very nice restaurant. The staff is very good and the food is very generous. We all had a pasta dish and were invited to select the same or a different dish to take home with us. Essentially, a buy 1 get 2 offer. Hard to beat that!

MEH.....

By sunnydayzToronto |

Sangria was meh. Calamari was bland. But the pasta we ordered was decent. Ordered the rigatoni D and lobster carbonara. Would I go back? Definitely not

Great Itallian

By rockyrosellini |

Celebrated my daughter’s 40th birthday. The meal was excellent. Everybody’s pasta dish tasted great. The cheese stick appetizer was delicious. They were running a special: buy a pasta entree take another dish home. I was very pleased with the service. Great place!!!

Not as good as the Maggiano’s I know...

By Chickenhawk12 |

Being from Chicago, I have eaten in a Maggiano’s more than a few times. While it is not my favorite Italian restaurant, it is consistent at most location. However, this DAL Airport location does not have the same quality in the food I know exist at other location. In fact, it appeared the Chicken Parm sandwich was warmed up as it did not have a freshness to it. The crispy potato’s were anything but crispy. I found the entire meal to be disappointing and not characteristic of the Maggiano’s I know back home. I would not recommend this location!

Excellent 90th Birthday Party

By Rickey H |

Mother-In-Law turned 90 and we wanted a place to celebrate with a small party, excellent food, and good price. We found them all at Northpark Center in Dallas. Working with the staff on the phone was a delight. We had suggestions for a menu that included a vegetarian offering and a meat offering with dessert. The fettuccine alfredo was superb. The meat lasagna, my favorite, was outstanding. All this was prefaced with Freshly Baked Ciabatta Rolls and chopped salad. When the Cheesecake came out, we were thrilled. The wait staff was not only attentive but professional. They made sure everyone had enough to drink and allowed us to move around, take pictures, and celebrate a monumental life experience.

Nice staff n atmosphere

it was hard to decide there were so many tasty looking options. Finally settled on one of the benedicts and it was a good choice. Parking is at the north park mall so not necessarily close. the entrances are both from outside and inside the mall.

"On The House" Classic Pastas Are A Great Deal

By JoInTexas |

Our family of 4 adults, a toddler and a baby scored a great corner table to enjoy a break from post Christmas shopping. Our waiter was very kind to the kiddos and a very attentive server to the adults. The toddler gobbled up the spaghetti with a little sauce. The adults had fresh house salad, an entree size spinach salad and three of the "one the house" (buy one and take one home, even mix and match) pasta entrees. We all really enjoyed the spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls, the lasagna and (my personal favorite) the light asiago cream chicken fettuccine Alfredo. We were too full for dessert. We shall return.

Horrible treatment, very inconsiderate……

By J B |

Don’t do it to yourself, especially if you are traveling alone. They sat 3 families in front of me even though I was there first. Then sat me in the corner and I had to ask if I could have a menu. Then after I ordered my food they let me sit there for an additional hour while nothing came. They need to learn to treat people better. I left feeling like crap and grabbed an Einstein bagel to eat on the plane.

Mia nonna si vergognerebbe - My Grandmother would be ashamed

By TinLizzieTraveler |

Such a beautiful restaurant to serve such poor quality food. The decor was gorgeous. Rich woods, chandeliers, marble, stained glass, so beautiful. I was so excited, but the food was 'insapore', tasteless. First the salad was fine, then the bread was good but no Italian would slather it in butter. "meh!" The fried zucchini was fine. Next came the big disappointments. The lasagna was dry. So dry the edges of the pasta were crunchy and chewy like it was microwaved, the middle was nearly dry of any ricotta or sauce. It crumbled under the fork. The chicken parmesan was light on the sauce and cheese. Don't be so skimpy, we're supposed to be Italian here! But the one that made me cry was the alfredo. I have a lot of experience with alfredo. I have tasted good, bad, and 'celeste', heavenly. But this was wallpaper paste. No Nonna of mine would be caught dead serving this. White gravy out of a paper pouch tasted better. I was so disappointed, I didn't stay for the dessert. Wasn't worth it. You couldn't make anything more to keep me there. I was so embarrassed to see my business colleges were thinking the same.

Wouldn't return even if I had a coupon

By Jon L |

We were a party of five and all of us left disappointed. Normally, when your food comes out lukewarm, it's because the kitchen messed something up and one dish comes out scorching hot. Not the case here. All were tepid. I knew we were in trouble when the waiter handed me my Eggplant Parm across the table with no fear the plate would be too hot to handle. Water glasses went empty for long periods of time. Need some balsamic vinegar for the bread? Get up and look for it. Bottom line: Go to Kenny's Italian or pretty much any other place for Italian food. There's a reason Maggiano's is always offering coupons and deals, and it isn't because the food is worth full-price.

Excellent all around. Business or Celebrations.

By DonePayingForPoorQuality |

Here for a speaker program... loved all food provided. Spacious rooms excellent for programs for work and celebrations. The Caesar salad is delightful and I'm craving more of it and I don't even care for salad. Baked rigatoni and meat ball with red sauce was surprisingly satisfying.

Elegant disguised as average

Had a party of 10 family in for wedding. The service was fantastic and food was very good. However, my disappointment begins with the tasteless parmesean cheese on the table. Even Olive Garden, which I don't like, offers fresh grated parmesean on your dish. Salads are ala carte. For the size of the salad, they should be included with dinner. Crab cake and risotto was excellent.

Amazing experience

Excellent from beginning to end. Matre' D Jon Ross was so sweet and our server Andy was attentive, informational and we never had to ask for anything! The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD so this is one of my new favorite restaurants! We went to the Willowbend location and I HIGHLY recommend it! We got the Mom's Lasagne and the Chicken & Spinach Manicotti--DELICIOUS! Finished off with the cheesecake (and I never get dessert!) and it was light, fluffy...just SO good! We live 2 hours out of town and this was definitely worth the trip to Dallas! Can't say enough good things about this place! YOU MUST GO!

Tasty food, attentive service, great atmosphere!

We had our Sunday dinner in this nice restaurant. Nice atmosphere for family or romantic dining. Awesome location, awesome food and very attentive service. Eggplant parmigian and the spinach manicotti were so yummy! We love it! Reservation is suggested.

Mediocre and that’s being generous

By texaskinger |

Had the salmon with lemon and herb. It was tasteless, the sauce was gloopy and unappetizing. Sat on a thin bed of spinach, equally tasteless and over cooked. This was just poor quality for a $20 piece of salmon. Never again. The white Nobilo wine was nicely chilled and the place seemed clean enough, hence the two stars.

Excellent dinner. Great service

Met friends here for dinner. Our server, Grant, was very attentative, knowledgeable of menu items and very personable. He readily answered menu questions without a trip to kitchen for answers. I had Gnocchi with sausage while hubby had chicken Parmesan. Our friends each had lasagna. All well prepared and served while still hot. We were not hurried to leave after our excellent dinner when we lingered to talk. Most enjoyable experience.

Favorite place to go!

By myerswoman |

I don't know how many times I've been here, but I've never had bad service or bad food here. I've been here for date night, Mother's Day, Father's Day, family Sunday dinner, etc. For ANY reason, I love going to Maggiano's. It doesn't matter which server we get, service is consistently spot on. The atmosphere is good for any event, esp. banquets (they have a gorgeous set of banquet rooms upstairs). I've even ordered for catering for a baby shower, and the guests loved the food. If you have to wait a bit, it's worth the wait. If you've never been and wondering if you should go, GO. There's something for every palate and you won't be sorry.

One of My Favorite Restaurant Chains!

By Allison B |

We discovered Maggiano's on our our first business trip to Dallas two years ago when we were at the NorthPark Center. Every year, we make sure we are able to have at least one meal there while we are in town. The service is always excellent. Our waiter (I can't for the life of me remember his name) said that he had been working there for 16 years and that it was a wonderful place to work for, so that is always good to hear. They have gluten free pasta available upon request, and being someone that is following a gluten free diet, I can honestly say that it was one of the best gluten free pastas that I've tried. I had the Lobster Carbonara and it was excellent! If you haven't been yet, check it out!

Always excellent

Great food with excellent service. Warm atmosphere(great ambiance), but can feel a little if you're seated at a table instead of a booth.

Worth stopping when shopping

By BUSAMAN007 |

Nice Italian restaurant that's always good to eat at after shopping at the north park mall The location is great and they are always professional Had the lasagna and toasted bread with cream cheese very yummy I always order it cause it's alway delicious every time From what I have seen from other dishes they serve never seen any issues and the place is always busy So that must tell you something

The Shrimp Diavolo missing the diavolo!

By SamAdamsGhost |

Very generous portion of shrimp (enough for two). The linguini was excellent. However, the Diavolo sauce had no heat. Good sauce, but no heat (which is why a person chooses the Diavolo version)! Service good, not great (bounced between manager and waiter).

Outstanding

After a long day at the office, what a wonderful evening we had at Maggiano's. From the jazz standards to the warm, accommodating service & food, the Maggiano's experience continues to be a favorite & is a great value. I mentioned to our server the type of wine I'd like & he brought tastings of 2 for us to try. We started with a dirty martini, glass of Duckhorn Decoy Cabernet & hot, crusty bread. We followed with Mussels Diavolo, center cut filet mignons, garlic mashed potatoes & sugar snap peas with bacon. The steaks were cooked to perfection & just superb; we ate every bite. For dessert we had a sampler with 3 desserts, & again ate every bite. Everything we ordered was fresh & delicious & the service was exceptional.

Scott was GREAT!!!

By gary c |

While in the Dallas airport I decided to try the restaurant directly across from Gate 17 in Terminal C…. the Italian place!!!!! It was very good. Scott was my server and he did a great job!!! I knew I was going to get dinner on my flight so I only ordered a glass of NZ SB by Nobilo and it was great!!! I then opted for a Minnestrone soup and it was very good. Scott was very personable and funny and made my dining experience in the airport a very fun one!!! Scott should be given a raise as he actually made my dining experience, and others he was waiting on, FUN!!!!!!! Thanks Scott!!!!!

Craving

By Louis D |

Was not please with this visit. Started out with a clump of hair caught under the chair my wife was sitting on. Then the Wine glass I was given was not clean, had something sticky on it. I had bake ziti special which is ziti with only mozzarella laid over, not baked at all. My wife had 5 cheese raviolis. That was good. Waiter was average. Manager came by to ask how everything is but I could not respond because I had food in my mouth. He was left to quick for my respond. My impression of this restaurant is they do not pay attention to detail cleaning.

So-so pasta and no macchiato

By Zsolt T |

Orecchiette overcooked, pepperoni sauce nice. Haven't heard of espresso macchiato (Italian restaurant).

Italian at its finest!!!

Awesome food.. great for romantic dining or entertaining large groups plenty of private rooms available. Food is always the best! Recommend and of course if you forgot to make reservation during busy times you can always walk around Northpark Mall and enjoy the sites!

First time visiting

By Paul J |

First time visiting a Maggianos. We came for lunch on a Sunday. We had a 45 minute wait before being seated. We had a great waitress that took care of us. We had fried zucchini as an appetizer. It was great and delicious. Definitely a shareable size. Wife and I shared a house salad. They split it in the kitchen. We shared lasagna as our entree. Definitely everything seemed to be shareable.

I'm willing to go back again and give it one more time. I cannot help it and I love Italian foods.

The environment and cleanliness were excellent. The meats part was not so good. It was either not full cooked or over cooked.

Skip this place

Waitress did not speak English and did not tell us about buffet and what was included. Very poor service also. They tried to overcharge me by $50 and at first argued until they fiqured it out.

New restaurant for me

By Billy B |

My granddaughter took me to Maggiano's for a girl's afternoon. My eight-year-old great-granddaughter was with us so we had to pick a place where our picky eater could find something she would actually eat. The service was very good, our waiter was very attentive and kept our water glasses filled, etc. The food was very good! My great ordered spaghetti and meatball(s) and was very satisfied with her choice. I had Carbonara and found it to be very good, too. (not as good as my Italian grandson-in-law makes it, but still good)

Catering is just like eating there

By Carl S |

We had them cater a party and the way they came and setup things it was just like having a meal at a buffet at Mariano's. They were great. Victor did a great job.

Delicious Grilled Salmon Lemon!

By BangkokSachse |

Our group of 10 went to Maggiano's on a birthday dinner. The restaurant decor was good, the service was friendly and excellent, and the food was delicious. The price was high but acceptable. I liked Grilled Salmon Lemon a lot.

Noise, Noise & More Noise

By msbeckser |

When going out one can expect a certain amount of noise in a restaurant. Today, I learned at this location to be prepared for large groups at a table rather than placing them in a banquet room. Not to mention not just one loud group but two loud groups in opposite directions. It could be this location is does not offer a large room for parties greater than twelve but placing other customers right next to them definitely diminished the enjoyment of our meal. Service was average at best and later we found out the server was assisting one of the large parties. The food is large portions and was good. However, it was nothing extra than typical chain Italian. However, I do feel the Maggiano's in Plano is better overall. It seems they may have cut some of their offerings down from their former Lunch selections. I like the buy a pasta get a pasta but, would prefer offering a discounted price if you choose to not want one for take out...because not everyone lives close by to take home.

Italian treats

It's an awesome Italian restaurant in Dallas. The service was fantastic particularly our waiter (England) he was so good. And of course the chef has done a wonderful job. " highly recommend you folks to try if you're in town.

Great restaurant/ bad waiter

By me10de |

Ok first let me say I love this restaurant. I go often. This visit tho was a week day. Waiter was Antonio. At least that’s was the name on my receipt. He was very in attentive. We had to keep looking for him. He did at least do very well with bringing our drinks but it took a while to finally get our salads. It came out almost the same time as the food. We also ordered food to go and when we were done eating we had to go to the hostess to get the check and inquire about our food to go.

Great Sunday lunch

By danimataonrails |

My linguine di mare were big and tasty. Kids menu was good too. I also had a GT that was quite refreshing. Our waiter did a great job.
