Food here is always excellent. Great bar. Very good wine list. Best of all was our server Paige. She was pleasant, polite, friendly, very efficient, and had a great sense of humor.

They shrunk the portion of the chicken Parmesan and overcooked it and brought out Caesar salad for the four of us with no salad plates. We had to use our bread plates to eat the salad which was not wonderful due to the high cost. Thank goodness for the delicious bread or we would've walked out of there hungry. Service sucks but that always is the case at this establishment but the food always was better so I ignored the bad service. The couple we went with their portions were much larger and had they not been there with us I would've been complaining but I could do some venting on TripAdvisor. There are better Italian restaurants in Houston so don't go here first

Dropped by NYE without reservations. Rather than wait we sat at a cozy table in the bar and were well taken care of by Natalie. Had a bottle of wine, salads, and 2 pasta dishes, and got 2 more to take home included! And dessert! It was a delicious dinner and a romantic environment! A very nice evening! Highly recommend the butter cake too!!

We enjoyed an early “Valentine’s’ at Maggianos on Post Oak – Houston, TX. It is known to get busy after 6:30P so we went early and enjoyed glasses of wine at the bar then were seated shortly thereafter. We considered the restaurant upscale dining which offers ambiance for special occasions. It is quite large and can accommodate large groups of diners very efficiently. We both ordered, salads to start off. I opted for the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and my husband had the Linguine di Mare. We were both shocked when the food arrived at our table, because our entrees where huge portions! For dessert, we ordered the Double Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice creams, strawberries and a balsamic chocolate glaze. We really enjoyed the evening; our waiter provided excellent service. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, the food was delicious and we enjoyed the evening immensely! While at the bar, the bartender gave us discount coupon for their “brunch,” so we will definitely go back there!

I am a fun of Maggiano's, have been in Houston where I lived for a long while, in Austin and in Vegas. Quality and flavor is supreme and very consistent. There are times where prices may be a little up vs market or a little down, but I can tell you that eating at Maggiano's is fabulous. I just ate Mom's lasagna, a dish that I know for more than 10 years, and it tastes every time better!

So I said it in the title. I have been to them in a few places and they are all great. Good service, good pasta or entrees. Always good for the kids. Sometimes I wish I did not eat so much but then why go out if you cannot indulge a little. This Maggiano's in Houston hits the mark in all these ways. Will be back.

Travel to Houston frequently and I almost always go to Maggainos. Good Italian food, always full to prove it. Service is good My only complaint is that in very noisy

This restaurant is in minutes' walking from the Royal Sonesta and Hilton hotels near the Houston Galleria mall. There is a wide menu offering different options. Portions are large and delicious. Service was excellent and attentive. Pricing is moderate. There was live music as well - a duo. I am a vegetarian and found plenty to choose. Highly recommend both for families and business travelers.

Fried cheese and stuffed mushrooms were excellent. Shrimp diavalo has just the right spice and creamy sauce. Meatball a spaghetti was very rich and flavorful. Alfredo was great. Very creamy. All dishes are great and portions are huge. Very good service. Reasonable prices.

Although there was a slight problem with being seated at the wrong table for 13, the overall service was exceptional. Staff was very attentive; the food arrived hot and the food had great taste. The interior of the restaurant is well designed and tables were large enough to handle all of the food delivered to guests. All in all, a great time was had by our family and guests.

Restaurant has a very spacious patio. The bread, though something I normally don't indulge in to save room for my main course, was FANTASTIC especially with the herbed oil. I started with a side Maggiano's salad, which has prosciutto, red onions, blue cheese, house dressing. I'm not lying when I say that dressing and salad overall was one of my favorite salads that I have ever eaten. My main course was the mushroom ravioli. It was delightful - heavy though- I probably would only order it again if I was very hungry. I plan to return to the location that is closer to home and enjoy the dinner size portion of the salad with a protein on top! Yum!! We did eat outside to be safer, and even though we were just a couple blocks from the interstate, it was a very quiet and pleasant lunch experience! Service was top notch!

We had excellent service from the moment we walked through the door. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced. I highly recommend!

Incredible to be discriminated against by someone who is also Latino!!! We were a group of 21 people for dinner. We arrived at 8:30 pm and the hostess very kindly informed us that it would take approximately 50 minutes. To which there was no problem, we were informed that they could separate us into two tables of 10 people. Meanwhile we went to the bar to have some drinks and they also treated us very well. The problem started when a guy named MARIO WHO PASSED AS THE MANAGER MENTIONED US AT AROUND 9:15 that our table would take until 10 because the table they wanted assigned to was still occupied, but that if we wanted we could go to somewhere else in the area there were other options being very insistent about this But we told him we would wait. At 10 pm we approached again and this same person told us that the table was not yet there, which seemed very strange since the Restaurant was already empty at that time. And he kept insisting that we could leave, we told him that we had been waiting for almost two hours, to which he very rudely replied that we had only been there for an hour, starting an absurd argument about whether we had been waiting for one hour or two hours. I repeat, at that moment the restaurant was alone and there was a separate table that he wanted to give us. From the beginning, he was asked to separate the group as we had told him and finally, after a long wait, he gave us the table divided into two tables of 10. I repeat, the restaurant was already empty. When we sat down we informed him that a chair was missing because there were 21 people and he told us that we had only asked for a table for 20 and that there was nothing he could do. At that moment one of the waitresses arrived and pulled out a chair to expand the table. It was evident that what he wanted was for us to leave, I suppose because we were Latino. It's a shame that such a good place that has great service everywhere has a person in charge like that. Instead of trying to get customers to stay, they try to persuade them in every possible way to leave, a defection and hopefully the company will do something about it.

We have been here several times. The food is good but not great. However, If you order from the 'right' menu, you get two meals for the price of one....'one for tonight, one for tomorrow'. This makes the food a VERY reasonable price and makes up for the noise level! We were there last on Saturday night; I would think a Mon-Thur meal would be quieter! They have the standard Italian choices...fettuccine, ziti lasagna....all with a choice of sauce. The bread is very good. Anyway, good food, reasonable prices and pre-prepared 'leftovers'....Hard to beat a deal like that!

Visited here a couple of times for lunch 2 weeks ago. Food is excellent, very tasty. Service is also excellent. Between both visits, I had the Chopped Salad, Italian Salad, Chicken Marsala and Parmesan Chicken Sandwich. Everything was fresh, tasty and very well served. Will definitely visit again when I come back to Houston. Prices are very reasonable, even though the ambiance is somewhat upscale.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants of all time! Great (free) bread, HUGE bowls of AMAZING pasta dishes, and the best deal where you can get 2 pasta meals for $12!!!! I would eat here every day if you told me to.

I am not usually a fan of an Italian restaurant because they usually are pretty bland. I loved the menu and the food we ordered. A girlfriend and I went for lunch one day recently. We ordered the meal for two. She ordered Manicotti and I had the chicken piccata. Our meal came with a great salad, bread and olive oil for dipping and dessert. And if you order the meal for two, you can bring home one of their classic pasta dishes each. So we each ordered a lasagna to take. Wonderful flavor on everything, food came out hot ( I hate cold food), wait staff was informed, attentive and personable. Prices were not bad. I even bought gift certificates for Christmas gifts.

Maggiano's is part of a chain, and this location is in the heart of the Galleria area. There is plenty of parking, and the dining area is spacious, ample and well air-conditioned. There is additional sitting area around the bar. Services is attentive, prompt and efficient. Management is quite responsive to individual requests. The appetizers are well-prepared and tastefully presented. Portions are generous; each order is probably sufficient for two people. The fried calamari were excellent, while the fried zucchini were exceptionally good. These were thin slices, as opposed to the sticks usually offered in other restaurants. the aioli on the side was great. The stuffed mushrooms were large, and the appetizer portion was enough for four people: remember, the mushrooms will grow and expand in your stomach and so will the stuffing. The Marguerita flatbread was delightful: very thin crust, with just the right amount of toppings. The lobster carbonara was superb, but the portion was huge; I ended up bringing 2/3 home. The spaghetti marinara was very good, although the marinara was somewhat watery. The chicken piccata and veal marsala were both tasty and generous. The wine list offers good coverage of all Italian wine-producing areas and some from California and other US regions.

This restaurant has very complete menu. Everything ordered including salad, pasta dishes, and desserts were excellent. The waiters were very attentive and explained the menu items well. One of the pasta sections allowed you to choose one to eat there and another different pasta choice to take home. Very nice and all are packaged for you when you get ready to leave. We will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.

We were in Houston for a Texans game and stayed in the Galleria area. We hadn't planned ahead for dinner and just searched TA for suggestions. Italian sounded good and Maggiano's got decent reviews. So, we reserved a table for three through Open Table and arrived about 6pm on a Sunday night. There were many people waiting, but we were given a pager and within five minutes we were seated in a booth - which we preferred. The restaurant was very busy with what looked to be families and groups celebrating holiday parties at several large and small tables. But, service was good and it was not particularly noisy. We REALLY enjoyed the bruschetta sampler. What a fun concept and we liked all five of them - although there were favorites! We shared a couple styles of side salads and we all had pasta. The portions are really large and if we probably should have ordered two for the table. But, we each enjoyed what we ordered. The sausage and gnocchi were amazing and the hit of our group. Plus, we just had to try a dessert and were pleased to see they have "mini" versions so you can just get one for the table and have a bite to sample. We were surprised to know this was a chain, as it didn't really feel like a chain restaurant. We would go back again, for sure. Great for families and groups. But, I would highly suggest a reservation!

The quality and quantity of food was adequate and most of us had to take food home. Service was satisfactory -not super as was in our previous visits.

We don't have a Maggiano's in our local market and we were given a gift card that included them so we decided to try to restaurant we hadn't been to from the list. We expected it to be good, but it was more than good is was amazing! Our server, Victor, was knowledgeable and fast. We were limited in what we could order as we were observing a Lenten meat fast so we could only have seafood. There were still plenty of delish choices. I highly recommend the fried zucchini appetizer.

The appetizer of candied bacon and fig jam was excellent, but the entree eggplant parmesan was the best I have ever had and was plentiful enough to take some home for a late nite meal. However, the gift of a take home classic entree of your choice took the whole experience over the top! We selected lasagna, which was enough for another two meals. Great selection and value. Will definitely return next week when family gets here! Our server executed the delivery of our food perfectly and timely. She was very engaging and helpful explaining the menu and free gift! Even the free gift was presented beautifully and cold packed so we could make the short trip back to our home with our food safe for the short trip.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday with a group of friends and enjoyed it. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated with dark woods, tufted leather booths, linen tablecloths, and globe lighting. One of our friends was celebrating a birthday, and they thoughtfully brought him a birthday card with a certificate for a free appetizer inside. We started with the zucchini fritte, and it was delicious, perfectly prepared with a crisp batter on the outside and a nice lemon aioli dipping sauce. For my entree, I had the chicken Francese which was pretty good; I enjoyed the crispy potatoes and grilled asparagus that came as sides a lot. My husband had the spaghetti with Wagyu beef meatball. It came with one meatball, but it was large. They served complimentary rolls; I wish they had served garlic bread since that's a personal favorite. Our server was nice, but there was a very hard push to upsell everything that was a little awkward. She sounded like she was reading from a script - "I suggest you get your day started right and order mimosas for the table" "I suggest you order buffet style" etc. Hopefully management dials that back a little bit. At the end of the meal, they brought the birthday celebrant some tasty lemon cookies which were much appreciated. We lingered for quite a long time, and they kept checking on us and refilling our water which was very nice. The place was nearly empty at lunch, but started filling up closer to dinner time. Parking was easy. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return for special occasions.

Good food tonight for dinner. Two starters, four mains and a bottle of Pinot Grigio and two soda = $150. Good was good but a bit pricey overall on reflection.

Great food, good service - especially like the calorie count against each dish on the menu Ate there three times - excellent steaks, delicious sauces with pasta and risotto I'll be back

If you want to impress your guests with great food, super sized portions and a good atmosphere for a meal then head to 'Maggiano's'. The staff are always welcoming and courteous. The tables (booth or standard) are well placed and you're well attended to. The menu is Italian as the name suggests - seafood, chicken or beef. Every pasta type you could possibly name. Dependent on the meal you choose, the time or day you visit, you walk away with a complete meal to match your order. This is a restaurant that is dependable and consistent in its approach and quality.

Maggiano's is my go to place in Houston to eat. Large proteins, fast service and great atmosphere. Bring your appetite and settle in for a feast. Deserts are fantastic too - with and cappuccino and your night is done. I'll be back.

great lunch. I had the chicken parm. lots of tables and the wait staff tried really hard to accommodate our large group. I would come again.

I was happy to find Maggianos in Houston. Located near the conference I was attending. The food was and service was great. I recommend it!

This restaurant is a very good option for italian food in the Galleria area of Houston. Had been there several times. Menu offers the classic italian dishes, well prepared and fast service. Take note of: 1. For dinner and lunch times better make a reservation or will have to wait in the bar a long time!!! 2. Portions are huge!!! Unless you are interested to take out part of the meal, even desert, consider sharing...Real Texas size portions

Food was delicious. Atmosphere perfect for any occasion. We had the best server - Ricco ! Thanks for making our dinner top notch!

We had a reservation for 9pm. At 9:15 they started carrying chairs on this backs in front of our table, were sweeping the tables right next to us and busboys and waiters were counting and recoding their tips under our nose. The food is great (though no offer of more bread, it would make us linger too long I guess) but it’s time you retrain your staff on not making your clients feel like they’re an inconvenience.

My daughters and I had a wonderful dinner. Bruschetta sampler was great especially the bacon topped one. I love the fact they give you a take home pasta when you order one for free. Our entree was huge and my daughter and I split it. It was the chicken and we had the potatoes and spinach as sides. The best part was when our server Cyrus brought out some lemon cookies as a treat as it was our first time here. We will definitely be back every time we visit Houston. Great value for the money.

As only an occasional visitor to Houston, this was my first time at this restaurant, and that was only on the recommendation of family members who live locally. Hard to think why I've never visited before given its popularity and reputation. But I had to laugh reading some of the reviews here about how awful this place is, warning people to stay away and railing about the terrible food, bad service and extortionate prices. Calm down - it's only a restaurant. Don't they know that every establishment has an off day? Thankfully those reviews are very few and far between. The majority of reviews here are positive and complimentary, and that would be more in keeping with my own experience. I found the ambience pleasant, the food excellent, and the service faultless. Our server on this particular evening was Ally, who has already drawn positive appraisal in these reviews - rightly, in my opinion, as she was friendly, efficient and attentive throughout, and her recommendations were spot on. We started with some marvellous crusty bread and olive oil dip which she mixed for us at the table, and some cocktails - my Margarita was superb. I started with the Zucchini Fritte, which was overly generous in size (see pictures), but it was delicious - perfectly cooked, firm, crispy and hot. It can be tricky to cook zucchini well as it can be soggy if not prepared properly. Thankfully, that was not a problem here. It was nicely presented too with a creamy dip on the side. Conversely, the Tomato Caprese starter was rather reserved, with only three small slices of tomato and mozzarella and a minimal sprinkling of basil, which seems at odds with the prevailing philosophy here (see picture). Our main courses were: classic Spaghetti with Meatball (yes - just one rather large meatball); Alaskan cod, though again the portioning here was a little on the small side; and Shrimp Oreganata (see pictures). My shrimp was excellent. The oregano breadcrumbs were light and the shrimp perfectly grilled - though the oregano was very pervasive and slightly overpowered the other more delicate flavours. But it was overall delicious. My only niggle is that the gluten-free options were rather limited, and no gluten free pasta was available on the night, which was disappointing. I really would expect an establishment of this standing to be better prepared. Gluten free options are more in demand than ever these days, so that really needs sorting out. That aside, the food was top notch, and the icing on the cake was that I was able to order my favourite dessert - the one I have spent an inordinate amount of time discussing within these reviews - Tiramisu! It was refreshing to find this on the dessert menu - though no less than I would expect from an Italian restaurant - but it's surprising that Tiramisu is not more common at other restaurants - Italian or otherwise. The tiramisu itself was a little uneven and slightly small - that is compared to the others I've seen here, but it tasted great - light and creamy, not overpowered with wine or coffee, and the biscuits were just right - still a little firm and not soggy. Excellent! (see picture). I suppose my overriding observation from all this is that there seems to a great deal of inconsistency in the portion sizes. They tend to vacillate between enormous or slightly too small, so I can't help thinking that a little more consistency here might be needed. But again that is only a minor niggle. Overall, the total bill for three not including gratuities came to almost $140, which averages at just over $45 per person. Quite reasonable given the generous portions and the quality of fare. The food is good and the options are very diverse, though I would class this establishment is more on the formal side, so if you enjoy quintessential Italian cuisine and seamless service in convivial surroundings, this place is for you.

The food was very good. And bonus you get to bring one entree him for the price of one. What restaurant does that?

Great Italian experience. Prices are reasonable. Very welcoming, suitable for big parties. Also has the benefit to stay open later than other places

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner for 50 people, the service and food were excellent. The staff was very good about contacting us and briefing us on the details of the evening.

The last time I visited this restaurant was five years ago when I was last in town - I'm pleased to report that it was just as good this time around. It was a quiet Wednesday evening, so the place was quite subdued and not overrun, as can be the case on some weekday evenings - probably the post new year lull. Service was courteous and efficient throughout and we were well looked after by Casey. Now to the food and drink, which was as good as I remembered it. I started with an interesting twist on a classic cocktail - a mojito with Moscato. This worked better than I expected. Our starters were the tomato bruschetta - probably the best I've had given the addition of ricotta and pesto, and the calamari fritte. These were excellent, as were our mains: grilled branzino (sea bass) fillets with sautéed spinach, roasted tomato, and white wine lemon herb sauce; rigatoni with herb roasted chicken, roasted mushrooms, caramelised onion and Marsala cream sauce; and mushroom ravioli with balsamic and Marsala cream sauce respectively. My ravioli was somewhat lukewarm in places, though that is only a minor niggle and did not spoil my enjoyment. All dishes were very good, clearly food of the highest quality, with subtle flavours, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Dessert was tiramisu - a subject I am infinitely expert in - as my numerous reviews on this platform will no doubt testify. It was good, but not the best I've had. With the final bill coming to just over $200 for 3, including drinks, that is probably reflective of the quality of the fare.

Note that this is a special review since it was Thanksgiving. We've been here for 4 years in a row, because the special Thanksgiving menu is superb. Unlike normal days, you can find turkey and dressing. Everything is served family style, meaning that your thanksgiving tradition of leftovers goes with the deal -- we took 3 full bags of leftovers home. Note that everything is served in pairs. We had 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 pasta dishes, 2 vegetable dishes, 2 main courses, and 2 desserts. We really recommend the pumpkin cheesecake. For holiday fare, this place is terrific. Service was efficient, attentive and friendly. It will cost about $50/person, but worth every penny.

The food was great. I went there with my husband for a quiet dinner. We were there just for the weekend. However, the waiter just kept coming over with yet another story about his life. My husband who is almost 60 and traveled the world knows how to pick out wine. We didn't need to get Mike's approval. We didn't need to hear that he is studying wine and hopes to move up to a fine dining restaurant when he gets a car but for now has to work close to where he lives. Then he tried to impress us with how he could carry a load of dishes. News flash to Mike, Fine dining restaurants have their own wine stewards and people who deliver the food and pick up the dishes. The waiter only takes the order. So all his skills are perfect for Magliano's but he needs to learn to go away when people want to dine in peace. Also, I don't want to hear what dishes you like best and what dessert you like. I want to order what I like. It wasn't our first Rodeo going out to dinner. We'll call you over if and when we have a question or need you. In fact if I'm in the area again I'll request another waiter.

Maggiano's has always been one of my very favorite restaurants! We even held my son's rehearsal dinner at the Maggiano's in Costa Mesa, CA and were beyond pleased! I think that Maggiano's has one of the best Italian atmospheres around! We have frequented the Maggianos in Houston (Post Oak location) often over the years and have always been happy with our dining experience, however, on our most recent visit, we were very disappointed in both the food and service. We had not eaten at this location in several months so maybe - hopefully - it was just an off night, but our server was not very attentive and the food was just so-so. We always look forward to Maggiano's bread and it just did not seem to be fresh, rather it seemed to be reheated! We will definitely return again and hope to find that last night's dining experience was just a fluke!

We went at 4:00 pm and during the one hour there, only 2 tables had other patrons. There were 2 waiters during this time. The ambience inside was a class fit for the 4 starred restaurant. Songs from the 40’s and 50s were playing in the background. I ordered a $27.99 plate of Lobster Carbonara. However, it was very disappointed. There was hardly any bits of lobster. It was essentially a plateful of pasta with cream sauce decorated with peas. I gathered up the red bits of lobster from the plate and it all fit on a spoon. It was a rip-off for the price I paid. However, my wife calm me down saying this is price paid for the ambience, location, and name sake of the restaurant. My wife ordered a $22.99 plate of shrimp scampi and it was decent. Angle hair spaghetti with plenty of oil in garlic. When our bread was gone, the waiter offered to bring another small loaf. As we left we saw 3 employees were ready at the front door for the valet car parking service. This area has a huge parking lot (like at Walmart) and at the evening it is almost deserted. The valet parking is for those with money to burn (good for you, no harm in supporting the livelihood of parking attendants)

Went to Maggiano's for a late lunch yesterday and it was great. I know that this location is popular and very busy, but since I wanted to have a nice leisurely lunch with my husband, we went in around 3 pm when we knew it was between the lunch and dinner crowds. There were a few large groups celebrating birthdays, a group of women gathering to catch up with old friends, and a few families. Since the dining room is large, there is sufficient space between tables so that you are not elbow to elbow with the neighboring table. The waiter was very attentive and immediately got our drinks, bread, and prepared the olive oil and herbs for dipping. He was very well versed in the menu and able to answer all our questions. We decided on the Marco's Meal for Two, which is an appetizer or two salads, two classic pasta entrees, a dessert, plus two more classic entrees to take home for $42.95! That was a deal we couldn't pass up. Once we gave our waiter the order, it didn't take long for our appetizer to come out. We ordered calamari fritte and it was crisp and golden, as it should be and the portion was just right. The marinara was flavorful with just the right thickness. After we finished the appetizer, about five minutes later, the entrees came out. I ordered the baked ziti and my husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with meat sauce. Portions are generous and full of flavor. My baked ziti tasted the way my friend from New York used to make, lots of Italian herbs and garlic, but not overpowering with a sufficient amount of cheese on top. My husband was happy with his spaghetti and meatballs with a large tender and tasty meatball on top with the meat sauce. The waiter came to check on us a few times over the course of the meal and always made sure the water glasses were filled and checked for refills on the drinks. For dessert we decided on Tiramisu, which was an excellent choice. When we were finished with dessert, our waiter came out with the take out bag that had our two pasta entrees to-go. For this meal, I had a Facebook coupon for $15 off a $40 meal, so we had a really great deal. This was my husband's first time to dine at Maggiano's and he was very impressed. I had recently signed up for the e-mail specials and coupons, so I'm sure we'll be returning soon!

I went to lunch with a work friend on Friday to have a nice chin wag as this one of my favorite places in the area. We had not been in about four months so I was really looking forward to the normal great Italian Lunch and I lived in Italy for five years so, I know what I am looking for and how it should be prepared and presented plus what goes with what. So we ordered a side salad and an entree and my entree was Chicken Marsala. Better with Veal but okay. The salads came, we were talking and eating, this is not a place to speed eat like some disgusting glutton, yet in five minutes the entrees show up and were placed right before us. So we continued to finish our salads to the side which took another 10 minutes while our entrees got cold. What was odd about mine was that Marsala sauce is made with butter and should never be combined with a dish that is olive oil based but oddly the Chicken Marsala was paired with spaghetti with garlic and olive oil. In Italy, sorry people have died for lesser food felonies and that combo is gut wrenching. I solved my problem by switching out my pasta for fettuccine with a small amount of butter. So I get to my stone cold entree and the first thing I noticed was the serving of the entree was on a very long oval plate. Sadly that plate made it extremely obvious that the sauce was not consistent and the sauce on the right was perfect but the sauce on the left was very watery and oddly bubbly as it sat there with air bubbles like on the top of a nasty scummy pond with the diluted sauce. The mushrooms were small and whole, strange but well, I’m game. Some were fresh and firm, others were rather very stale and nasty and mushy. Once my fork hit two of those, I was done with the mushrooms. Pity as the chicken was perfect and perfectly breaded. Never had any of the pasta with the sauce as half was questionable. Shudder. Plus for a place that seems to be trying to show Sicilian roots as my pasta came with a spoon large enough to eat Texas with, like any proper Italian, even one in Sicily, I removed it from the area immediately. Shudder. The spoon is an Americanism, but if they want to present as Sicilian then Cannoli small not giant and slightly warm aught to be on the desert menu. Please don’t serve them with a fork for they, like asparagus are finger food. Horrific lunch, I have no idea what has happened but it needs to be corrected quickly

Another great Maggiano’s experiance. Sounds trite, but I have visited Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and now the Houston Maggiano’s restaurants. All are of the highest quality, and always present great food via great service people.

The Italian food here is not fine dining but it is always very good homemade food. Bear in mind if you are having appetisers that the portions are rather large... we always order too much! Great choice of dishes and wine, and excellent service.

1/3/2020 Maggiano's is not close to our home and we drive about 30 miles for lunch here. My husband ordered his usual the chopped salad($15.30) add chicken($3.00) water I had the Zucchini Fritte (still very good ) large fried slices of zucchini.($11.50) Our server Ally was friendly but I had to give my husband the rest of my water because our glasses were not refilled. I gave a 3 star rating because we drive a long distance and our bill was $32.26 and we had an email with $10 off but the subtotal was $29.80 and Ally said the email could not be used unless we purchase tea to go(she said would make the coupon valid). This is so ridiculous. I guess we better start looking for another Italian restaurant. So disappointed.

Service & food were good. It was a little packed, but expected at any decent restaurant. The Mojito’s are awesome!

Maggiano's was right next to our hotel and had good reviews so we thought we would try it. We were not disapointed at all! I never think lasagna out is as good as my whole made, but this might have egded even me. Waiter was good.

Always love eating at this location very quick seating even when they are busy the bar makes perfect cocktails and the food and the wait staff are great!

Had a great night before we drove to Galveston and boarded a cruise ship. Had the Chicken Parmesan and it was delicious. Our server was amazing and extremely accommodating. Thanks Maggianos for a great evening!

Have visited the one in Orlando numerous times and enjoyed the overall experience. My wife's family enjoys eating here during the years we can all get together. The food this time around wasn't as tasty as I remember in the Orlando restaurant. The service as always was good despite the restaurant busting at the seems. The entire draft beer system was down, was very unfortunate that only bottle beer was available. As a beer fan always looking forward to tying regional beers they only had beers in bottles that you could get in Orlando and most of the country.

The food was really good, the atmosphere was great too but was really impressed me was the service we received. My wife has a few food allergies so we told the waiter, the next minute the chef is at our table taking our order making sure my wife’s dietary requirements were clear to him. He made for my wife a lovely pasta and then he came to check if we enjoyed the meal after we finished eating. The restaurant manager was also superb, I can’t remember his name but excellent with customers and nothing was too much trouble for him or for his team. I have just spent 3 weeks in the US and Maggiano’s team attention to their customers needs was superb, maybe the best I got in 3 weeks. I Highly recommend it.

My husband and I had dinner at the Post Oak location and I must say that it was the most disgusting meal I’ve had in any restaurant in a long time. The food was over salted… has to send it back … my substitute entree was served to me barely warm… the new bread they are serving now was a basket of rolls that were literally as hard as rocks. I was afraid I’d break a tooth… Save your money… this is definitely NOT a place to go for a decent dining experience. I’m not sure what happened to Maggiano’s. Terrible.

I really recommend 100% this place. The food was great and portions were huge and delicious. It is a great option for italian food and the service was excellent

I love Maggiano’s! My sweetheart and I ate there for the first time about 2 years ago and my hubby ordered the Chicken Piccata and I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. We both ended up eating mine and taking his home for a late night snack. We have since made it a tradition to pick up Chicken Parm every time we fly home to Houston from traveling. It’s always something to look forward to. We took our son and soon-to-be daughter in law to Maggiano’s for his birthday dinner on a Sunday and ordered Italian Sausage Flatbread and the Spinach Artichoke Dip... Omgosh they were both amazing ... and of course our usual Chicken Parm but ordered the lite version with Pomodoro Sauce with Hand Cut Fettuccine and it was delish!!! The service is great and friendly, the prices are what you would expect... like apps for 9 to 14 and they do offer happy hour pricing on some apps... meals range 14 and up ... The Tiramisu was great... the right amount of coffee and chocolate to make the taste buds water...the kids thought it was a bit strong but I thought it was balanced perfectly! Godere!!!

Excellent service from all the staff (Cyrus was an excellent host) and good Italian food! Good layout too.

The men’s bathroom is absolutely gross, broken toilet seat, dirty, Rude employee behind the bar, disappointed.

Had fun, good food, some wonderful specials, and excellent service from Julianna. Had not been there in a few months but enjoyed it and their BOGO offers are enticing. I had the chicken parmigiana and took half home for lunch the next day.

Great food like Mamma would make, great ambience and if you are served by Andrea a great experience Grazie

Great service, excellent food and good drinks. Great environment, excellent environmental music. Love it.

I love Maggiano's menu. Everything is wonderful and the customer service is excellent. You will love this place.

We went there for an early dinner and were very pleased with the experience. Our waiter (Tony) told us of several specials ... the combo of steak with mushroom raviolis and asparagus was excellent, and the cheesecake topped it off nicely. We split the entree and a salad, and it was all good. When back in this area we will make this Magliano's a "must stop" for sure.

Ended up going on a whim, there was a wait for tables but I could sit at a table near the bar. Had a great dinner and an amazing frozen peach bellini. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Took another order home for later. Delicious!

I try to go by there at least once every ten days or so, since I am addicted to their food! The customer service is always outstanding as well. If you are looking for a great place to grab some tasty Italian food, this is a "don't miss" place!

My wife and I had our 54th wedding anniversary and picked a new Italian restaurant we had not visited. We had just family members. Glad we did as the food was to everyone's satisfaction and the service was outstanding. The restaurant was rather noisy as there were two other large parties but we had a great time. It just so happened that I picked an entree that allowed me to take one home for free, an unexpected bonus. Their menu has a nice assortment of items some with regular and the same item with a lighter side if you are counting calories.

This is very interesting to review and write about. At one point and time they had good food. The service was great but food quality sucked bad. Had the calamari as an appetizer and it was seasoned with only salt and pepper. It didn’t have a lemon to go with my calamari as well. I ordered veal parmigiana and it was bland and lacking in flavor. The pasta tasted like it was noodles that had sauce from a can with no spices or seasoning. The veal had too much cheese and was not breaded hard. The price you pay for the food is not worth it. Either the food quality needs to change or prices should reflect a change as well.

We began with good bread in a yummy olive oil herbal dip. Then came the sausage & peppers appetizer that two of my grandchildren and I shared and then my to-die-for (or close) saffron & scallops risotto with peas and such. OMG. Those scallops were so beautiful my mouth was in heaven. Grandson had spaghetti, granddaughter fish and we finished it off with a shared spumoni. We ordered Chianti by the glass with the meal and it was a bit earthy. I liked it. Grandson didn’t. Good food, good service, family friendly. We’ll return.

During repeat visits this location tends to rush you through your meal. Reservation made with noted birthday celebration. Why ask if there is no recognition of requested event. Entrees arrived literally right after salads dropped. Large portions are probably why they are busy since food quality is only average. A bit noisy as well.

My husband and I returned last night for the first time for supper. It was delicious and service was fabulous! We split the chicken parmesan, which comes w/spaghetti. I ordered a small caesar salad on the side .. It was HUGE!! They have the best bread! So beautiful inside and quiet restaurant. Prices are high, but it was a delight!

Typically, when we visit a city we try new restaurants, rather than visit places we have already been. But, we were tired and just wanted a good Italian meal and a glass of wine. So, we made a reservation through Open Table and had another great night at Maggiano's. We walked in and the lobby was filled with people waiting for a table on Friday night at nearly 7pm. However, with a reservation, we were taken immediately to our table for four in a great location. Service is top notch. Our wait staff was attentive, great at recommendations from the menu (and the new menu is amazing!), yet did not hover while we were enjoying our meal and visiting with family. Start with the bruschetta tour and try all the amazing flavors. The Caesar salad is solid, though pretty standard. And, for a main course the new steak with asparagus risotto was a home run. Everyone at our table was sampling my dish and we loved it. Wow. Others at our table had pasta and chicken, which were also good. But, the risotto with mushrooms and asparagus was really some of the best I have ever had. I would go back just for that dish. I hope it stays on the menu. Thanks for another great evening!

I try to eat at this restaurant at least once during my visits to Houston! The dishes are always delicious and served well! The lasagna and eggplant parmigiana are always excellent choices and if you are lucky, you get one to take home with you! What a deal!! It is a friendly place and nicely decorated. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Lot of good food. You get your money’s worth. Just go enjoy. We’ve been there many times. We’ve never had a bad meal. Each time we go we enjoy.

Went here for a party before an upcoming wedding. There were 25 of us. The food was excellent, the service great. If I lived in this town I would go here often.

We were greeted by beautiful Christmas decorations tastefully done. Now, where do I begin? Telling you about the delicious food or the fact that we walked out with two sacks of food to take home. There was just my husband and me but there was enough food for four people easy. They first brought us 2 types of Bruschetta then 2 salads then two main dishes plus two sides. The turkey was cooked to perfection, it was some of the best I have ever eaten. Oh, there were two pasta dishes also that I will confess we did not touch, there was just too much food. We had the apple dessert with ice cream on top. Maggiano’s makes their own ice cream and it is scrumptious. Rudy is our regular waiter and once again gave us exceptional service. We will definitely be back next year for Thanksgiving and of course regular visits in between.

I ordered three bruschetta that were pretty good, a half salad that was Okay and finally ordered “Our Famous Rigatoni”. The chicken did not taste good so I left all the chicken in the plate. I only ate the rigatoni. I hate restaurants whose waiters ask you how everyting tastes and when you say something they do not want to listen they leave. The chicken was not good, did not taste good and I cannot guarantee that it was before expiration date. I do not leave anything on my plate ever. Why do they ask you about your food taste if they do not care? Why they do not ask you about your food when you leave in the plate all the chicken? Is there any kitchen control to analyze whatbis returned? It looks like that the answer is NO.

5 of us enjoyed dinner. Their 'family style' offerings gives 2nd servings of appetizers, (yummy calamari), salad, (caesar) entree, other main course, and I think dessert! (Yes, there was take-home for sure!) White wine by the glass was very good. While the server was busy, she was attentive to our group and personalized the dessert for our occasion. Fun atmosphere. I've been to other Maggiano's, this was one of the best!

Maggiano's food is delicious, I just with the staff was more attentive, but the food is always good.

We ordered off the Classic Pasta list. Fettuccine was fantastic and the wife's spaghetti was great, and we got another to take home!

The food was great and the it was definitely worth its value. The atmosphere was great. Would come back again.

We visited this restaurant mid afternoon, the day after Thanksgiving. My wife and daughter ordered the egg plant parmigiana. I had the chicken francese. It was accompanied with a generous serving of roasted potatoes. The meals were very good. The bonus of this place is that some of the menu items come with take home meals. It makes it a tremendous value. My disappointment was with the service and the wine prices. The service was a little slow. The place was not crowded. The wine here was marked up in excess. Nine to fourteen dollar a bottle wine, was marked up to $38 to $46 a bottle. That is high for a chain restaurant! No value here and we passed on the wine for lunch. Other than that, it was a great place to eat!

This location is always consistent in their food as well as service! An absolute favorite in Italian!! Not to mention their chocolate hazelnut cheesecake is almost plate licking delicious but let's refrain from actually doing that!! Can't go wrong here, ambiance is red & white checkered table clothes, staff is super attentive and friendly and the food is great!! Always a go-to for Italian. Thanks Maggiano's!!

The restaurant is close to the galleria in a strip mall across the street. The staff is friendly and helpful. We shared the fried zucchini, which was very crispy. I would have preferred a red sauce and cheese versus what they provided. We all ordered the salmon, which was farm raised and just slightly over cooked. They have a great wine list.

The ambiance was great. The meal was superb; from the antipasti til dessert. Overall the quality of each dish. Also, the attention and details to making us feel welcome was excellent!!!

Ate here because it was a short walk from the hotel. Great staff. Very nice and clean inside. We ordered the dinner for two and it was so much food for the price that we had to decline the two extra dinners because we had no way of eating them later. Had the spinach and artichoke dip for starters and that was the best one we have ever had. Absolutely delicious! I had the sausage zita and the wife had the lasagna. So much food we couldn't eat it all but they both tasted very good. Had the Gigi's butter cake for dessert and it was very good also. Overall this is a great place. We have eaten at this chain before in Vegas and Denver and it never disappoints, which is rare for a chain restaurant.

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat dinner to celebrate so she was looking at reviews for something new. Maggiano's had good reviews so tried it out. The service was great and food was outstanding. The portions are very large, definitely enough for two meals and on top of that they give you a complete take away meal. The brunch sounds good so we're going to check it.

Great Italian eatery, with lunch and take one to go. I went with the spaghetti and then the Italian salad with the house dressing. So good! Very satisfying and nice portions. I even took the spaghetti as well.

We seek out Maggiano’s when in the mood for Italian food. I love their Sausage and peppers , my wife loves their Caesar Salad. Their chopped salad is the greatest anywhere. Their Italian bread basket is a real treat. All of their main courses are very well prepared, and I especially like that when I am in the mood for a steak, they Evan have that, and is is always prepared perfectly and the cut of meat is superb!!

I am really disappointed with this restaurant. The services are the worst. It took 65min to get the food in the table. The waiters did not assist as I expected. The food was not good at all besides the larger portion. The manager did a good job trying to recover the customer’s satisfaction but probably I will not come back.

Awesome, food, service, and value. We ordered their two fer dinners. It a three choice meal a plus two entrees to take home. Jim Biles customer service is the best.

The food was good quality and the waiter was very nice. This wasn't the greatest Italian food I've ever eaten, but I would definitely recommend this place for anyone interested in better quality than the generic (pre-made/out of a tub) Italian at Olive Garden or similar.

We have eaten at Maggiano's through the years and always loved it, so we scheduled our son's rehearsal dinner here in August of 2019. I have to say that I was very impressed. The service was impeccable and the food, oh the food! It was beyond delicious! We got so many compliments on how nice the event was. Thank you Maggiano's for a memorable evening. Best choice ever!

Still serving good Italian food with great service. Cheese cake is out of this world. Excellent chocolate cake too. Huge servings for desserts. .

Average food. Average service. It didn’t seem like the food was Italian but more American. We do not think we will go again.

Okay for lunch. Good place to take the family. Nothing special comes to mind. Big family style portions. Reasonable prices. Nothing really delicious.

My friends and I visited this location for a ‘Friendsgiving Dinner’ right around Thanksgiving. A coworker of mine told me that this place gets packed in the bar area for parties. This night was no different! Although the bar area was packed, I was able to find close (and free!) parking in the strip center’s parking lot. Valet is offered near the front door if you’d like, but I’m not sure the fee, if any. We chose to go after 8pm on a Friday. Did I mention this place was packed?! There was an office party or something going on in the bar area as soon as you walk in. I reserved a table for 5 and was the 1st to arrive. I waited about 10 mins before the next person in my party showed up, and then it was only about another 5 mins before we were able to be seated. I appreciate them not requiring the whole party to be seated, we wanted to get a head start on cocktails since the bar was occupied. We had a nice waiter with a tag-along. I’m guessing she was training with him but he didn’t acknowledge her to our group and we didn’t ask. Service was a bit slow, however, it worked for us because we were just enjoying the night out. Even though there were plenty of guests in the restaurant, there was plenty of seating with large, comfortable booths throughout the main dining area. I heard there was an upstairs area for dining and parties, so this place was bigger than I had expected. I ordered lasagna, which is my go-to meal at any Italian restaurant until my tastebuds grow from a teenager’s level. I later learned that it was part of a Buy One/Take One promotion and that was enough to make my night. You could order one entrée and then order the same or different entrée to go from the same selections. Yep, I ordered another lasagna to go lol I didn’t even switch it up. The drinks were sooo good and refreshing. The bartender made them strong without overriding the flavor of the cocktails. The décor was beautiful for the holiday season, so warm and cozy. We found some willing people at the bar to take some pics of us near the huge tree at the entrance. I learned that they offer brunch with cheap mimosas, so we will definitely be back to try!

If you want great Italian food in classy ambience without over dressing, this is a great option. Great Lasagna, well prepared pastas, in serving sizes to satisfy. Ok to wear clean nice casual shorts with collared shirt. Wait staff is professional, courteous but still help make it a relaxing atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

I've traveled to Houston several time for work over the last few years and always make time to have at least one dinner at Maggianos. Weekend might require a short wait, but that just gives you time to get a cocktail at the bar while you wait for your table. We have tried everything from appetizers to dessert and have yet to find anything that wasn't hot, fresh and delicious.

Our forth time coming here. Food was good as usual. The restaurant was more crowded than the previous times we were here... especially for a Tuesday. Service was kind of slow today. Took a good thirty minutes for appetizers to come out. Dinner was luke warm, sorta blah.

we should of left when left us at the front lobby without even offering us our table restaurant was empty and they still left us there like we did even exist the food was at best from 1to10 a 3 i would not recommend this place to no one on this earth i don't leave mean reviews on less is totally a wreck!! this was a zero not a hero!! please stay away!!!!

This place is wonderful. They have a good sized menu that offers both "americanized" italian and classic. We had fantastic service and our food was super yummy.

We had friends visiting from Denmark and wanted great food. Melanie was amazing. Always made sure to have full glasses and bread bowl. Answered every request. So much food on the 2 for $43 dinner we had 3 bags of leftovers. Love the take home a second portion offer. We had calamari, lasagna, pasta w sausage, multiple layer cakes both chocolate and cannoli.

This chain is very consistent. I loved most of my food. Although for my pasta they put Parmesan cheese on without asking and I don't like that. Otherwise it was very good.

Went here from the Hilton hotel next door and glad we did. The food was hot and excellent. Atmosphere was great. Our waitress was the best. She even brought our a dessert plate with "Welcome to Houston" written in chocolate. Can't say enough about the place. Highly recommend.

Been coming here for ages and ages, and am never unsatisfied. I usually take home my meal from the night and then have a whole one, frozen, to take home as well. Their bread is SOOOO GOOOD and their meatballs are also AMAZING!!!!!🎉🎉🎉😍😍😍 We end up coming here for at least one birthday a year and I don’t think that tradition will break any time soon. So many memories made here. And really great mints, too.

Food and service were excellent!!! The chef came out to speak to us about the dishes and our waiter was top-notch and just overall awesome! I wish I knew his name. Food----from salad to entree was delicious. Would definitely go again when in Houston. Thank you!

I stopped in here for dinner after a very long day of travel. My waiter was courteous and didn't rush me at all. In fact, I stayed at my table for the better part of 2 hours having dinner and desert. This place made me feel welcome and at home. Thanks!

We go to Maggiano’s every year at Thanksgiving, this year did not disappoint. The food was wonderful plus we had enough leftovers for two more meals. We chose the Apple Crostada for dessert with ice cream. Maggiano’s makes their own ice cream and it is delicious. I especially like it in a Brandy Alexander but those are for other times when we dine there. Rudy is always our waiter, he does an outstanding job and takes care of our every need.

the chicken picatta and the shrimp diablo are wonderful. service is excellent. prices are very reasonable. highly recommend this restaurant for Italian cuisine...

Wow!!! The spinach artichoke dip was great. I ordered Lobster carbonara and it was absolutely delicious!! Without a doubt my new favorite meal. Give this place a try and you wont be disappointed. It is a little pricey tho but we’ll worth it!!!

We had our family reunion banquet held here for about 70 people and it turned out awesome! The servers were very attentive and Darius who handled the contract was very professional and friendly. Emily, Irma and Casandra were awesome as well! As a family we were very appreciative of their outstanding attention and serving of the delicious meal that we had selected. The room was upstairs away from the other customers as not to disturb them. We did not use an item on the contract but were able to spend that money at the bar! The family was grateful!

At this rendition of a midscale national chain, free parking is off Post Oak North. I was seated promptly, even without a reservation. The restaurant’s interior décor was tasteful and inspiring. The ambiance was casual and fairly quiet, with soft music in the background. Complimentary bread with dipping oil was about as good as it gets. From a menu fit for a Machiavelli, I ordered a house salad with mixed greens, blue cheese, red onions, and prosciutto. My entree was a fettuccine alfredo (with a pasta primavera for take-home), and fresh grilled asparagus side, with just ice water to drink. Both items arrived still hot and were perfectly delicious, both at the time I visited and the next day. Dining alone after a long day at a nearby conference, I had exceptionally courteous and efficient service from start to finish. I got the check soon after I asked for it. The menu was reasonably priced for a prime location so near the Galleria. I’ll definitely stop in again.

One of us really enjoyed his main course, another felt his was okay and mine was not good. My shrimp was undercooked and tasted of iodine. Plus, they forgot to include the appetizer leftovers we asked them to pack.

This restaurant has a great parking lot, architecture for days, and excellent waitstaff! Our drinks were filled as needed, and the waiter checked on us as our appetizers and food was served! The food was good! No complaints from our table! I appreciated how they were able to accommodate large groups!

Excellent place, with great food, decor and atmosphere. I will certainly be back if I am in the area.

Absolutely amazing fresh delicious food. We came in out of town.. and just happened to find this place and we were so lucky! I ordered simple spaghetti with a meatball.. I was hoping for a really fresh tasting sauce that was robust and flavorful and that is exactly what I got. My husband ordered their hoagie poboy and couldn’t say enough good things about it. 5 star food at a really reasonable price.

Booked Maggiano's Little Italy on Post Oak for Easter Brunch. We've been there before for dinner and had a grand time. Easter Brunch - not so much. True, the food was good and the service was exceptional. But, we expected a little something different for Easter; there was nothing different. A re-worked menu with many of the traditional, wonderful foods that Maggiano's is known for, but nothing special for this particular brunch. We will return for a regular dinner or even regular brunch in the near future, but it is unlikely that we will do brunch there again for a holiday meal.

They have a large selection of pastas and appetizers.... Service is pretty fast... The only option is to valet they give you a huge portion sizes

Maggiano's served our college baseball team 2 meals while playing in Houston. The food was terrific and the service was phenomenal. They catered to our every need. Will visit again.

I’ve been to both the Memorial location and the Post Oak one I usually get pasta because you get another one to take home for free Their chopped salad is awesome

Just had lunch here for the first time. Normally it's a family gathering to celebrate my late Granny's life. The wine was superb, the Prime ribeye was superb and the waitress Andrea was superb!

Dinner with 8 business associates —Shrimp fettucini alfredo & side salad —my fave at this place. Others had filet mignon, chicken parm, & linguini di mare. Excellent food & service—place was busy at 6:50 PM. No problems with anyone’s orders or food; signs of a well-trained staff. We agreed we’ll be back again & again.

I tried this Italian Maggiano Restaurant Twice In Carmel Indiana and I was Much Satisfied so I wanted to introduce this Lovely Place In HOUSTON To Friends and Also to my Daughter & Husband I Reserved in advance in order to avoid Waiting We were a Party of Seven our table was ready nice welcome also Nice Waitress (Raven).Very Clean ,simple decoration but Nice.. We were not disappointed the food was Delicious Also we shared large Crême Brûlée,Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream,Chocolate Sambuca..Cappuccino was Perfect and Service Good and Quick..They Have 3 Maggianos In HOUSTON ..

How much better does life get this! Chicken Piccata swimming in lemon butter & herbs at Maggiano's on Post Oak on a Sunday evening! Just saw a great flick at the iPic Theatre in the River Oaks District! Good company, good movie and this scrumptious Italian delight. Love the atmosphere of old Italy at Maggiano’s. Happy faces at small tables and large family banquet tables! Wonderful service! Great dinner! A Perfect Sunday night!

Ate here twice. Have a light menu that really was nice to be able to eat decent Italian while on weight watchers. Service was pretty good. Prices were not bad.

Booked for a party of 10 including four kids aged 1-11. Across the party there are also a range of dietary needs/preferences. As it was NYE we thought we had to opt for Family Style but the a la carte was available. Service was fantastic from our table server. Food was of very good quality and portions were frankly too big but all cooked very well. Overall, the meal met our needs excellently and the final bill was very reasonable. Would definitely use again or try another location if it were convenient.

Very nice Italian restaurant with a very helpful staff and very nice ambiance, I has the spaghetti with meatball, very good. My wife had a very nice shrimp salad. Parking was also very good for this part of town.

When I travel from to Houston, I always try and visit Maggiano’ Little Italy. It’s simple, the food, drinks, and service is always spot on. I enjoyed the Veal Piccata while my son had the Veal Parmigiana. Ending the meal was a delicious almond flavored pound cake with caramel crusted banana slices and topped with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!

Service and food were impeccable. Ciara our server made our first experience at Maggiano's what is sure to be many more to come. Her recommendations were spot on!

Food excellent, service unparalleled to none. Tried it different nights service is consistent and the price range is very affordable.

We normally avoid chains when we travel, but we had never been to a Maggiano's and there aren't any near where we live, so we trusted the reviews and a personal recommendation from a friend. We were seated promptly, even though we were a little early for our reservation. We were seated by the general manager, who seemed genuinely interested and excited that we had chosen this restaurant to celebrate our 50th high school reunion. We had a nice corner booth, which made it a little quieter and conducive to visiting. Everyone's food was delicious. Some members of the group were able to take advantage of the free extra entree to take home. Obviously, I now have to rethink my rule about not eating at chains! This one is a keeper!

I was a speaker at a client's VIP client dinner. The private meeting/dining rooms are well appointed and there are plenty of them! There was a private corporate cocktail party happening downstairs also and then the full restaurant was operating too. This place is BUSY! The staff were amazing and most hospitable. The food- well there was plenty of it, and I really liked the family-style meal. It engages people and you also get to have a bit of everything rather than having to order one main meal (entree) and live with food envy! The desserts were delicious and the wine offerings were good too. I'd return here for sure!

There is no better place in the city of Houston where you can eat better Italian food than here, it is worth eating at Maggiano's since you arrive and ask for the menu you can find a wide variety of dishes and end with delicious dessert.

when I am in Houston and staying next door to Maggiano's at the Hilton, I usually end up here. From the appetizers to the cocktails. the service is great. as far as the meals. the food is phenomenal. we've had the family style dinning as well as the ala cate meals. you will not be disappointed. one of my favorite's is the Salmon. the desserts are off the chart too. my kids love the Chocolate cake

Constant great Value. This is a wonderful favorite and never fails. Daniel took wonderful care of us. One vegetarian person easily found great choices. Wine perfect Caprese salad perfect. as was evening. t match. Thanks

Reservations are welcomed but are not necessary. My wife made one for a Friday night. That turned out to be a great decision. After the hostess told the party ahead of us that there was a 20 minute wait, we were seated immediately. The food was great for the price. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu, however, once he took our drink and food menus, he saw very little of him. He never came by to check on us, or refill our drinks, etc. I had to flag him down to ask for the check.

This is a no brainer. Good pasta that everybody likes but food quality Is more restaurant like, than home type. Sometimes can be noisy because of many large groups. I still like it.

Terrible services we left the restaurant We have 2 kids and they want to charge is adult menu at 36.99 because the server though they don’t look their age. They have family stile menu and the server mandate to order the 2 kind of salads and we only want the Cesar, we would not eat the other one . That’s insane . Have Been there many time and loved it but this time we are so disappointed. Prior the service was outstanding. So sad because we love the food

Had a nice dinner there the other week. Went with 4 other people. Service is good and attentive. They serve large, family style portions. We 5 shared 3 and it was plenty of food although the portions weren't huge. The bread and oil on the table was really excellent and they kept the bread coming. All three of our dishes were quite good also. We'd eat here again as everything was quite good although there wasn't anything that was fabulous.

My business partner and I eat here since it was next to our hotel. The food was great and the hospitality was excellent! The mgr heard we were from Kentucky and he made it a point to stop by our table and thank us for dining with them. He came by as we were leaving to shake hands with us. Great experience!!!

I have been going there for years! very good and tasty food. The pasta they prepare is out of this world. very Italian! and with awesome ingredients

We got takeout to take back to our daughter and two year old granddaughter and it was wonderful. They have a great take out deal for $60 for 4 people and it worked out perfectly for us. Actually, next trip to Houston we will go there for a nice meal at the restaurant. Close to the Galleria and to our hotel which was the Royal Sonesta.

Food at Maggiano is fairly good most of the time. However, I had eggplant parm and did not like it. It lacked the crispness on the top as they were all stacked up. Their chicken on the special menu was very good though. Even though they are usually busy, the wait staff are very efficient. I don't know about the take away frozen food though. It's never that good once you re-warm it. I usually give it away. I guess it is good if you lived alone.

We ordered the Italian Sausage flatbread as an appetizer and were disappointed. First of all there was very little Italian Sausage on the flatbread. Two of the eight pieces did not have any sausage on it at all. The dough was chewy in the middle and hard on the outside. My wife ordered the Tuscan Bean soup which lacked on flavor and was luck warm. I ordered the chicken piccata, the chicken was ok but the pasta was cold, dry and hard - the worst pasta I had in all my life. We felt the meal stood at the pass for several minutes before it was served.

We dine at Maggianos often but this is the first time we visited there for brunch. Thank heavens our favorite waiter, Rudy, was working today, he really makes the experience special. You would think anyone can make a Mimosa but trust me, I have had some really bad ones. The one I had today was one of the best I have ever had so of course I had to have a second one. The manager was telling us about some of the brunch items, most notably the Creme Brûlée French toast. I decided to try it and it was out of this world delicious. My husband really enjoyed his Eggs Benedict. They even had someone dressed up as an Easter Bunny who was handing out candy to children. Nice touch. We will definitely be back for brunch again soon.

12/26/2018 We came here for lunch and my husband wanted to try and appetizer that I can enjoy with him so he ordered the Zucchini Fritte and I was so grateful because they were sooooooo good. In town for a seminar, my coworker and I saw the restaurant listed and we decided to try it. We walked over from the Marriott West Loop and after arriving, the very sweet hostess greeted and seated us immediately. Our server, Anahi, quickly arrived at the table to take drink orders. After answering questions about the entrees, we placed our order and enjoyed the bread and oil. Our food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh. Although we were full, we chose to indulge in a mini dessert. I had the delicious Gigi's Butter Cake, while my coworker had the Warm Apple Crostada. Anahi surprised us with lemon cookies, which we took back to the hotel. Several large groups came in as we were eating, and I was amazed at the staff arranging tables and serving those tables quickly. The kitchen staff was working hard!! I will definitely dine here again, hopefully soon!!

We were vacationing in Galveston and drove up to the Houston Rodeo. On the way, we spotted Maggiano’s and decided we had to come back the next day for lunch. We drove the 30 minutes back to the restaurant the next day because we love it. It was mid afternoon so not busy at all. Service was prompt and the food was delicious. We ordered the take out meal for the next day, as well and enjoyed it just as much as eating in the restaurant.

This was a lunch with friends for my birthday. I chose the restaurant but we used the post oak location because it was the one most centrally located for all, from pasedena to katy. We wanted an appetizer but it took so long to get someone there to get our drinks, and we were not asked if we wanted to order an appetizer. I had to get the waiters attention to get some more water in my glass that had been empty for quite some time, as well as the others sodas. We tried to get someone's attention to order dessert but could not and finally gave up. Spagetti and meatball for 19.50, should have a complimentary house salad served with it. Nothing large, just a small green salad. I wish I had chosen Olive Garden, the food and service are much better. I will not be returning!

3/3/2017 Still celebrating my mom's birthday and she wanted some good pasta. My daughter came to town and suggested Maggiano's since we have not been here in a while. I ordered the Baked ziti(I forgot to tell them no meat)it comes with a meat sauce. The manager came to the table and said he could have the chef prepare a serving without meat and have it out in minutes but I did not want it to go to waste so my daughter took it home for leftovers. my mom ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, my daughter ordered the shrimp scampi and my husband ordered the chopped salad and says this is still the best chopped salad he has had from a restaurant. Over all the food was still good and service not bad.

Maggiano's has never disappointed us and so we returned to the Post Oak Boulevard location for a wonderful Italian meal. Once we were seated by the somewhat arrogant maître d', we enjoyed a thoroughly wonderful dinner. The waiter was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable, and very attentive without being obtrusive. The dining area is standard Maggiano's, uncrowded, comfortable and mostly tastefully decorated. The food was excellent, served hot, very tasteful, and well presented. My wife's fillet mignon was as tender as could be and tasty, and she received a generous serving. My meal of penne, chicken, shrimp and a delightful cream sauce was a wonderful marriage of ingredients that I joyfully finished. As I said, we've never been disappointed by Maggiano's, so we'll look forward to our next visit.

We went there after the rodeo and had a reservation booked on OpenTable.com. We were seated within 5 minutes. The service was excellent. We had the kids ziti with butter, 4 cheese ravioli, and Mom's lasagna. All entrees were hot. We were given several baskets of hot bread. It was all very reasonably priced. You can even get $10 off your first visit if you join their eclub on line. Overall an excellent experience.

I have rarely had treatment this bad; Degrading, insulting and even discriminatory. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:30 and the hostess kindly gave us a 1 hour waiting time. After 2 hours we went to the hostess to ask about our reservation and that's when the supposed manager named Mario intervened, telling us that until a large table was free he would give us a place there. As long as it was not vacated there was no other option (it is worth mentioning that the place was less than half full at that time. It cannot be that a place with its history has this type of disastrous and rude employees. They finally gave us a table 2:30 hours later (although the Manager invited us on several occasions to go to another place - which was no longer viable due to the time) The attention of the other waiters was impeccable as well as the food.

Had my Mother’s 70th Birthday Celebration here. The service that we received before and after the event was amazing! Richelle was consistent and made sure that everything was to my standard for that day. On the day of the event, Mario introduced himself and made sure we were on the same schedule. The staff that served us gave excellent service, food was good and everyone’s favorite dish was the apple crostada. This is my family’s fourth time having an event with Maggianos and I’m sure this is not our last.

Once again Magggianos excelled in excellent food and service when my husband and I went there for Sunday Brunch. I absolutely love the Creme Brûlée French Toast and I was not disappointed, once again it was delicious. My husband tried the Italian-American breakfast. He said the Italian Sausage was phenomenal, he now has a new favorite. Maggie’s never disappoints, we can always count on excellent food and service.

We were looking forward to a nice dinner. It was a record cold evening and we expected the restaurant to be comfortable or even warm. Not so. As for the wine, the restaurant had run out of Malbec and out of one of their Pinot Grigios. Our third choice was available. One of our dinners arrived hot but the other was sent back as it was barely above room temperature. All in all, it was a very disappointing evening out.

I think this restaurant has the best linguine di mare I have ever eaten and I have eaten a lot of pasta with seafood. When it arrived it looked daunting so many mussels and clams on the top but if you take out all the shells and just savour the sea food it is just superb. My partner and I shared a side salad and he had the beef medallions and we shared a very nice American red wine. All in all it was an excellent night.

Excellent food, lovely ambiance. Our server Sara went above and beyond. We wii ask for her table next times. Highly recommend.

I had the minestrone soup. It was very good. The pasta and salads also looked good. They also have a nice lunch special with choice of two sandwich, salad, or soup. Bread was really good.

Just our second time there as we’re from out of town. Just as good as I remembered. Our server, Rocky, made the evening enjoyable.

Correct service, good olive oil, green salad is OK, pasta with seafood and lobster is good but size too big ... at least for à European ... White Chardonnay by the glass was OK

My boyfriend took me there for my birthday celebration,I must say I did enjoy what I ate,l loved when they gave me free appetizer because it's my birthday, the waiter was so nice and was always on time with our order.price on the high side but worth it.

The booking of our function room for my friend’s baby shower wasn’t the best experience. The group of sales people that we dealt with weren’t proactive . They were quick to send us the contract with estimated bill but any questions we had prior to our event was ignored. It took several emails to ask and we had to call the restaurant for answers . I understand they’re working remotely which theoretically they should be able to address our questions on a timely manner. On the day of the event, (about 2 hours prior) the Asst.Manager Eric called and told us that unfortunately they overbooked and asked if we’re okay to switch rooms and will discount our bill for the inconvenience. We’re an easygoing group (a bit annoyed at this point) but we agreed. The actual event was a great experience. We just wanted some customer service which the sales team failed to do. But Operations did an awesome job. So let me just say thank you so much to the servers, assistant manager and the kitchen crew for taking care of us. The service was phenomenal, the food came out hot and they were exquisite .
Yes, Yes and Yes
A wonderful place to eat. Excellent atmosphere and a great menu selection. The bread and dipping oil that are complimentary were delicious. We ordered the Chicken Piccata, Five Cheese Ravioli, Chicken Parmesan and the Appetizer order of meat balls. The only reason I didn’t rate this place five stars is the meat balls were pretty cold when they were served. All in all an excellent place lace to eat and have some nice family time.
