the menu runs from dirt-cheap to ludicrously overpriced. you can get a delicious fettuccine alfredo entrée plus a take-home spaghetti marinara entrée for twelve bucks total. but their steaks are WAY overpriced. the veal marsala is good and comes with a pasta ide dish, but is almost thirty bucks the bar is excellent, the bartenders are super-pros the wine list is grossly overpriced, fifteen bucks a glass for mediocre wine.

Well, overall a bit disappointed. Food was great, the set meal plan a good value but the bar was a disaster. Couldn't make the mixed drinks! Would hesitate to to this particular location again.

We called for reservations a couple hours before we wanted to go and we were able to make a reservation. They are most important to get, especially during the weekend. We went after a movie, waited about 15 minutes and then was seated at a nice table. It is almost always noisy and celebratory and almost always full. Our starter of their fried zucchini with dipping sauce is scrumptious and reminds my husband of his Italian Grandmother's fried zucchini. You get 8 nice sized slices. We had pasta (mine was the mushroom ravioli, which I almost always order). My husband had a chicken asparagus pasta dish and then we got to order a pasta to take home. Amazing. We got the lasagna, which we froze. We will be back. Service was efficient and friendly.

This is a good choice if you want tasty Italian. Very attentive service. You will get LOTS of food. Their creme brulee is yummy as well. Take a friend or two and enjoy!

Wasn't surprised by the amount of food I had as I'm not at any Italian restaurant, but I must say for the price & the fact that you get to take a whole other meal home, it's very good. Food was nothing amazing but nothing terrible. My lasagna was very good though the sauce seemed like it came straight out of the can, was just missing something. My apple desert also just seemed too generic & ehh (if you know what I mean). I must say our waitress (whose name I didn't get) was excellent. Very knowledgable & friendly. Service was prompt & she checked on us/assured us multiple times, something that I didn't expect from a large chain restaurant packed on a Friday night.

Thisis a large restaurant that attempts to invoke a feel of Italy, albeit American style. We go here whenever I am in LA because my mother enjoys it and she feels comfortable here. The food is very reasonably priced and with some selections you get a free take home meal. The portions are good sized .Is the food real Italian? No but it is still OK. The service is very good. The servers are very attentive.

My family and I love this place. They are always consistently delicious. Our favorite dish is the lasagna. We also love when they have those buy one take one promotions. They bread there is also the best.

Had a family dinner here. No real complaints- great service, decent food, large portions. The lasagna was a bit on the soupy side.

This is a solid Italian restaurant. The portions are big, and good. However, it can get noisy. Very noisy. There are often larger groups in the main dinning room, and with the high ceilings, it can be difficult to hear the people you are with. The bar is great. Very nicely stocked and a great place to have a bite if you don't want to wait for a table. I have been here for private parties in their back rooms and the service has been great.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and very accomodating service. We had grilled asparagus, eggplant parmesan, and chicken piccata. The food was good, but not exceptional and overall, a bit too salty.

Spent a couple of hours at Maggiano's two nights ago, and it was a blast. Great food and tremendous service. The buy one and take one home deal is still going strong for some of their most popular plates, and I enjoyed my second dinner last night. They have some cool make-a-wish dishes featured right now for charity, and one of the simplest was a tasty peach/pomegranate lemonade that was very good, although extremely sweet. The service was off the charts good - refills were almost immediate on both my lemonade and the ice water. We will be back here soon!

Recommended by our friends as a good (close) place "to meet" before going to a show, we really didn't know what to expect. We Googled the menu, but that didn't tell us much about the quality. Yelp reviews were fine. I guess we simply, and mistakenly, set the initial (expectations) bar fairly low. That said, now that we have been there, our reservations were totally unfounded. The place is really good!! My wife's chop salad gets rave reviews, as does the chicken sausage soup. The Margarita flatbread is also very good, and their sausages are great!! The service was excellent and the prices seemed reasonable. We'll definitely go again! Sometimes I'm wrong. This time I was totally off base!!

For all their claims, we were rather disappointed overall. The Bruschetta was very good, but the pasta dishes served to our table left much to be desired. The pasta was way over-cooked, and the marinara sauce was pretty generic. The quantities were quite large, with a complimentary portion of any of their pastas to take home. Service was very good, and the staff were pleasant and efficient. Would not hurry back

We’ve eaten at this Maggiano’s location many times and always had exceptional experiences. We met friends there yesterday for their first visit. The seating location (Bar/table for 4) was perfect for us. The main dining area and other areas of the Restaurant were very busy with larger groups and parties celebrating ! Our Food, service (Thanks again Gianna !) and ambiance was just right. The Mall location of this Restaurant is evolving. Most of the structure is vacant and the parking lot we used (in front of the restaurant) is in the process of changing to some sort of pay to park system. In spite of these issues we will be back !

he Service: Our server, Kevin, is fantastic!! It is our first visit at this restaurant. He makes us feeling very welcome! He gives us great suggestion on the wine & food menu. He knows the menu very well. He is super efficient and professional. He checks on us at least few times to make sure we have everything we need. Thank you Kevin for making this dinning experience so wonderful! The Food: Crispy Zucchini Fritte - Strips of zucchini hand battered with Japanese bread crumbs and fried to a golden brown, served with a zesty lemon aioli cream sauce. (COMPLIMENTARY!! The chef is very sweet to give us a free appetizer. The zucchini is so crispy. The lemon aioli cream sauce is to die for!) Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes - Lump crabmeat coated in Japanese breadcrumbs and sauteed, served with a side of tomato aioli (You can really taste and see the crab meat!) Spaghetti, Meatball - Spaghetti topped with a handmade meatball and served in our marinara or meat sauce (One big meatball~) Apple Crostada, Caramel Sauce - Granny Smith apples baked in a pastry crust dipped in cream and crystallized sugar. Served with caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. (The ice cream is so creamy, perfect combination with hot apple baked pasty!) ** We order meal for two ($39.95), one appetizer, 2 entree and 1 dessert. Plus they let you take home TWO pasta dishes. If you join their e-club before you go, you will receive $10 off voucher via email. GREAT DEAL!!! The Parking: Hugh parking lot (FREE)

The food at this location was acceptable, but be wary of the servers. We paid the bill with a credit card, but left the tip in cash. The server couldn't find it and became quite nasty and unprofessional. Someone in my party left another one just to quiet her down. She is either incompetent or dishonest; neither trait is desirable in a server. I contacted the company twice before I posted this review but never heard from them

Our family of 7 celebrated the 10th Wedding Anniversary of my youngest son and his wife. We had dinner at this this restaurant. It's like going back in time ten years ago when I hosted the Rehearsal Dinner for more than 60 guests. Love the place... the food, very delicious...service was excellent! Martin, our waiter made sure we enjoyed the evening.

Small group dinner, on a Friday night, seated at 7 pm, 6100 Topanga, Woodland Hills, CA. Ordered Linguine di Mare (lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams); received Linguine & Clams. Got a half-hearted apology, "oh, my mistake" from the female server. As friends were being served, the male server kept passing full plates of food RIGHT OVER MY HEAD! He actually bounced one plate on my head; but no apology at all. Although we had asked, while ordering, for separate checks - and were told that would be fine - as the 7 of us were eating dessert the female server informed us she could only do three checks. (and yes, I was charged full price for my substitute dinner.) This place needs to shut down for a week or two for some staff retraining! Oh, and take a pass on the creme brulee - $9.50, but only about 1/8" thick. Sure not going to eat here again ...

Had dinner at Maggianos and the food is decent. Portions are huge. For an Italian restaurant in the Valley, its decent fare.

Six of us had different Classic Pasta selections. All of us enjoyed them. The server was personable and efficient. In addition, we each choose a different "take home" Classcal Pasta selection which one of our guests took home to his new apartmrent.

My co workers and I decided on Italian for lunch as a Christmas Eve treat to ourselves. Placed a catering pick up order at 10am via telephone for 12pm. Arrived at the restaurant a little early and paid for the food. 12:30pm rolls around and my food still hasn't come out. I ask 3 staff members about my order and nobody knows where it is. 12:45pm comes and I ask for a refund as our lunch break is now over. I hear a bunch of excuses, but what really happened is that they FORGOT to make my order for 12pm, and started making the order when I got to the restaurant. They didn't want to admit it and were stalling for time. The manager refunded my money, minus the tip, with no mention of compensation for my wasted time! Totally unacceptable!!! Will never go back!!!

Salad was soggy, the veal picatta was burnt. The server was very helpful but the kitchen let her down. Would not reccomend. There are too many better Italian restaurants in the area.

Our meal at Maggiano's was incredilble. the salad is unbelievible excellent . the service was superb even though it was extremely busy. The chicken parmigano is a must . We have been back twice in the past few weeks

One can order individual portion of food, or do a two-people special, or opt for a family style dinner when dining with friends. All in all, the food is pretty good with some dishes much better then others; very generous/too generous portions and decent service. Sausage and peppers, and zucchini fritti as first courses; veal picatta as a main course, and pound cake with ice cream particularly stood out.

Andy provided wonderful service. Food was delicious. Samples the special make a wish dessert which was amazing. One great advantage is your get to take a pasta home. We ordered the Marcos meal which includes salad AND dessert. You must leave room for dessert. On my too much food you must take some home.

Really disappointed in this Maggiano's location at The Grove/Farmer's market on Fairfax Avenue. We made reservations about a week before we wanted to dine, so ours was not a last minute request. Since we arrived about 30 minutes early, we had a drink at the bar, and at the reservation time, we asked to be seated. We have eaten at this location before, but some time ago. We were not aware that the restaurant is now in two parts. The original insid, and the now tented outdoor area with heat lamps. When e were taken to our table in the tented area, I asked to be seated in the actual restaurant. We were informed that, "This is the table that was assigned to your reservation, and it would be at least 15 minutes, possibly longer, to get a table inside. The food was excellent as always, but perhaps because it was a very busy night, being the Friday after Thanksgiving, the pacing of the food was unacceptable. Main course came before the ordered appetisers, and when one of the appetisers finally came, the runner dropped part of it into another dish. But, for us, the worst part of the meal was the area where we ate. This was like eating in a large, impersonal, mess hall, with zero ambiance, where the tables were packed together so tightly, that servers and other patrons kept bumping into our chairs. Talk about "milking" the public over a holiday weekend. Skip Maggiano's at the Grove. Better to go into the adjacent Farmer's Market, and get a pizza and a good corned beef sandwich. You'll enjoy it more, and you won't fel like you are eating on a Bumper Car track.

This Maggiano's was much more crowded and therefore noisier than the one in the Denver Tech Center, but it was a a very good experience, thanks mainly to the efforts of our waitress, Deanne. She could not have been more friendly for our party of ten people and went out of her way to prepare a cake we brought for my mom's 85th. The food itself was good and plentiful. Also, a nice touch was that when we arrived before the others in our party and ordered a glass of wine in the bar, it was accompanied by very good and hot sourdough bread. Our only complaint was that our table was pushed up against a wall in the main dining room, and we felt quite crowded.

Family of 16 picky eaters received wonderful service, hot well prepared food in a good atmosphere. Food is always enjoyable, not gourmet, just good Italian cooking.

Maggiano's rescued us. We were on a big project in Woodland Hills, it was getting late and we needed dinner fast. But also had persons in our group with gluten dietary restrictions and vegetarian. Maggiano's to the rescue. Maggiano's had our to go order ready in 15 minutes, and with gluten free pasta entrees included. It was over 100 degrees outside still at 7 pm and we stepped into the cool, gently lit restaurant, and were in heaven. The staff was friendly, and very helpful. They have an entire counter just for the To Go orders which really sped up the process. And who does not love a restaurant that has giant bouquets of fresh flowers? Nice touch Maggiano's. The food tasted very good. I would definitely go back to Maggiano's again.

Gigantic kudos to the special event staff at Maggiano's in Woodland Hills. We had a dinner to celebrate our marriage and it couldn't have been better. The staff was SUPER attentive, the food was better than I could've imagined and our guests were delighted. Since we don't like here, we can't go back regularly, but when we come to visit, this place is definitely at the very top of our list.

Have been going to this location for many years and have always had a good meal. Even though part of a national chain, this location has the feel of a single Italian restaurant. Family meals for larger groups can be very good. I have never been disappointed.

Made reservations for a Friday evening to thank a director, the restaurant was not crowded so we were seated timely. Our waiter was a nice young man who was apparently new and after i ordered a Brandy Manhattan he came back 8 minutes later to advise me they had no Brandy so i asked what type of Martinis they made and he had no idea , i ordered Sangria and he left. He came back with no drinks and asked what we wanted to eat and we ordered appetizers and main meals.the Sangria arrived and for $10 it was about 3 ounces over a glass full of ice so i ordered a pitcher which came and had about 12 ounces in a large pitcher of ice for $21 so i ordered a new pitcher of Sangria without ice and they delivered a pitcher that was about 25% full and said it was so low because there was no ice. The mushroom appetizer was outstanding but the calamari was unlocatable because of the thick bread coating. the Veal Parmigiana was almost too hard to cut and eggplant was overcooked , but the sauce was tasty. Needless to say the service was extremely slow and the food was just ok however the spumoni was great so i will not go back unless i had a craving for Spumoni.

We found Maggiano's to be just wonderful. We had great service from our waiter and the food was excellent. The food, wine and desserts truly awesome. This is a must try for Italian food if you are in the Woodland Hills area. My husband found it on google maps and it was easy to find.

I love this place, I went there and treated my mom to thanksgiving dinner. It was a last second thing given I'm always working but when we arrived we were able to get a table and the service was amazing. We were helped by Alyssa and she was warm and genuine the entire time. Will definitely go back.

We have eaten here three times and the last visit was great!! I had the Bowtie pasta with spinach, sundried tomatoes, broccoli and it was great. My husband and one of our friends had the lasagna and it was fab! If you order one of the speciality pastas, they give you another order to go, totally free! Great value, I don't know how they can do it or why!?! Maybe it's just a promotion, but we were happy to take home dinner for another night! Martini's were great too!!

Trying to please five adults at a restaurant is not an easy task, but Maggiano's managed to please everyone and exceeded our expectations. The location was great, the ambiance was lovely, the food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Three of us even received meals to take home (buy one and take one home). Does it get any better than that?

Traveling for business, I found myself in the Woodland Hills, CA area and in need of a good place to eat dinner. I was along and wore out from the Boston to LA flight, so I ate at the bar. Josh was a great bartender/server. Where it was my first visit to the restaurant, the manager, Laila stopped by to say hi, let me know if there was anything she could do for me and offered me a complementary bruschetta, which was amazing, but I went with the calamari. I also opted for the chicken parm. Food was all excellent, service was great, and the atmosphere was classic Italian. I would say this place borderlines on Mid Range to Fine dining from a cost perspective.

This is a good place to go with friends for happy hours😊even though the happy hour finishes at 6:00 Cool place for a date😊 the wait could be long on the weekends...

Maggianos is one of my favorite places! The ambience is upscale casual and the menu has something for everyone! The portions are huge and you'll always take home your coveted leftovers with pride! Some of the classics come with a buy one and get one to go! You heard me! Let's say you order spaghetti or lasagna...your server will ask what you would like to go... and you get to choose another classic entree! If you go with a large group you can order family style and that's always fun! Service is great...and the dining area is big and energetic. They have private rooms you can book too for special events. Maggianos is amazing...deliciousness in every bite. Tip: let them this is your first time at Maggianos and they'll treat you to something...even lemon cookies! Eggplant parmigiana I'll be seeing you this weekend!!!

After having my wedding reception at Maggiano's Las Vegas I noticed that I also have Maggiano's nearby my house in Woodland Hills, so I tried it. I've been in that local Maggiano's a few times already, and every time the food tastes excellent! It is pricy, but the quality worth it. On weekends they are getting very crowded in the evening, and the wait between the order and the food can be long, even for appetizers, however they have very good in-house bread to nibble on during the wait, and the atmosphere is nice too, so waiting for the food while in a good company is not a biggie. Despite saying that everyone has own taste, I would recommend Crab Cakes as my favorite appetizer, and Veal Marsala or Tenderloin Medallions for a dinner entry.

This is a great restaurant but seems to be understaffed a bit. I did not get my drink nor did the couple next to me. Food was as excellent. Marcos deal for two is a steal. Just thought service needed a bit better - bathrooms were not stocked with necessities. Tiramisu a must.

We visited for lunch with friends and were very pleased with the ambiance which allowed for good conversation among us. The food was prepared fresh and was delicious. The service was impeccable. We will return when we are once again in town. They even provided an additional take home dish with the pasta we ordered.

Really good Italian restaurant.... great food.... large portions... great service.... for a chain restaurant it is tops... numerous visits- all great experiences

My husband Tom and myself go there at least once or twice a month ,we usually go for there for happy hour and end up having dinner "which is wonderful" they have a le,mon drop martini for $6.00 on their happy hour which is one of the best I've had, I always send thanks to the bar tender ,but what is great about Maggiano's is on their regular menu if you choose from a certain part of the menu, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs etc etc you get to take home another entree free ,so if both of us order an entree we both take home a free meal, not bad 4 meals for the price of 2 and the food is delicious and the service is excellent, enjoy~!!!!

Never been to this family style Italian restaurant in the mall off Topanga canyon. They offer great lasagna and egg plan parmigiana and they give you free order to take home as a special. My wife thought the food was way too salty but it tasted good to me. It is very filling. They have a full bar and dinner for 4 came to $205. It was a nice visit and is a very large restaurant. Was very busy on a Saturday night.

Big place with ample parking lot. Very busy as food is quite good and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

As opposed to the way pasta dishes are served in Italy, (big bowl of pasta with one pat of butter and 2 tablespoons of sauce on top) Maggiana's puts lotsa sauce through and on top of their pasta. I ordered the Chicken Picatta that comes with a side of spaghetti with olive oil but I requested they serve it with their meat sauce. I lovely sized portion came in a separate bowl and was swimming in sauce. Now I like my pasta that way so I was pleased. My chicken was prepared perfectly, light browned on both sides, thinly sliced (two large pieces) and swimming in lemon and capers with a minimal amount of butter as requested. Lots of bread served in baskets and olive oil on the table. Had to ask for butter but it was brought promptly. This restaurant is always busy and filled up even on week nights. They have a lovely kids menu and the pizza is the thinnest, nicest pizza for kids and they get like 6 slices served on a wooden slab. Their best deal (if you like pasta) is their "buy one and take one home free". For about $12.00-$15.00 you can order one of 6 choices offered and they give you another one (same choice or different) prepackaged to take home. This means no special requests like a certain type of pasta or sauce different than what is on the menu. But each serving could feed two so its really 4 servings for less than $15.00! They make a great chopped salad with a somewhat spicy dressing and having been there about 4 times, we know what we will be getting. P.S. On the way out by the check in desk, on a little side table is a bowl of paper wrapped mints covered in a thin shell of chocolate. Enjoy!

Great service, pleasant ambiance and abundant portions make for a compelling meal. I was there for lunch and it seems that you get a free portion of whatever you order to take home with you. I was expecting just a small portion, but it was the same copious amount as the original meal, which kept me in pasta or the rest of the week! The meal was concluded with candle-lit lemon biscotti as a pre-birthday treat.

After seeing the advertisements for the two for one specials, we decided to give Maggianos a try. I ordered the lasagna and the rigatoni with meat sauce and meatball. I ate the rigatoni at the restaurant and took the lasagna home to heat, cook and serve for the next day. The servings were large and very good, good taste all the way around. Total cost $14.95! You cannot beat this deal. The service was very good, friendly and attentive. Nicely decorated restaurant, very old school, lots of wood paneling and red booths and chairs. Plenty of free parking adjacent to the restaurant. Can't wait to go back for the very good food and the incredible deals!

Make sure you take advantage of their buy one get one for half off deal. Great pasta. Great bread. Excellent service.

It's not like a buffet, because every time you order another round, they make it fresh, and the food is amazing, the only problem is they can't make it fast enough. But the quality is great. Atmosphere is also very nice for family, friend or even a date.

The food was good and the portion was huge. Service was very friendly. We went on a Sat night, the restaurant was busy, have to wait for at least 30 min. Suggestions: make reserve first.

I’ve heard wonderful things about Maggiano’s for years and I finally got to go. Wow, was I ever disappointed. We had a larger party, the dinner was served “family style” and cost around $41 per person (plus tax and tip). In my opinion, the service was excellent and initially the ambiance was warm and welcoming, but as more and more large parties arrived the noise level kept going up and the temperature in the room kept going up until I was uncomfortable. I thought the food was bland, under seasoned and just lacked flavor. The salad and one appetizer tasted quite good but not one of the main course dishes was exceptional or to my liking. I would be extremely reluctant to return to this restaurant. To my way of thinking, it just isn’t worth it.

This restaurant has a very nice Italian feel and is very large. The food was mediocre, but you get a lot for the price. They have good service and their food is served hot. It is not a restaurant I will hurry back too.

I love the fact that they give you a free pasta to go with every house pasta dish eaten in house. However my brother ordered the veal porterhouse, $27 for a big bone with a little meat on it. Really? Still it's my second visit and I will be back again to try another of their pasta dishes.

the menu ranges from terrific values to true ripoffs. their old loss-leader is still there. for $13.95 you get a bowl of pasta plus a 2nd bowl to take home, and both are generous portions. i had the alfredo which was perfect and took home the marinara which was excellent. the wine list is a total ripoff. service was good.

Have had business lunches here twice recently. Excellent food. Great ambience in a large (expansive) layout spread over several rooms & patio areas. Not too crowded (for lunch) so very good for having a business meeting.

This is a restaurant that knows how to cater to large groups. We had a group of 22 people in a private dining room. The service and food was just perfect! This chain has proven to be consistant whether I am on the East or West coast! Well done Maggiano's!

My wife and I had not eaten at Maggiano's for years. Our last meal had been quite good, so there was really no reason to shy away. So we decided to do my birthday dinner there. Enjoyable on all levels. Sound level was tolerable, which is hard to do with a big restaurant. We are very specific about our martinis, and they did a great job. The salad was completely fresh and the salmon was seasoned just the way we like it. Not too much salt, which is an issue with many Italian restaurants. You can always add your own salt. The sticky chocolate caramel dessert was, if anything, too good. We will return soon with the rest of the family.

We Love this place especially when meeting in a group or with family. Order family style dishes and pick and choose , salads, pastas AND Entrees . Dining solo or with another ,try the choose one pasta dish, choose one to eat now and another to take home ! Great ambience and service. Limited happy hour offerings but the food is the same great quality as main dishes.

Fourteen of us came here to celebrate Grandma’s birthday, and had an absolutely wonderful time. A pretty Christmas tree and bright red Poinsettia plants on a long shelf guided the way to our table. The place is very large foe hosting many big parties, and yet felt cozy and welcoming. We ordered their family style dinner where we could order endless servings of any, or all the dishes. For Appetizers, we got their Italian Chopped Salad with Blue Cheeses and Bacon Bits, Bruschetta, and the Calamari. For the Main Courses, we got the Spaghetti with Sausage – one with Meatballs, Chicken Francesca and Salmon with Spinach, and for Dessert we got the New York Style Cheesecake and their decadent Chocolate Cake. Wow! Every item was absolutely amazing. The House Red and White Wines were perfect accompaniments to the delicious food. We ate till we were stuffed, and still had some leftovers for the local family members. They also loved it. Our servers were excellent – beyond attentive, polite and really funny. We have been to several Maggiano Restaurants over the years – for workplace parties and special events. This one was hands down the BEST. Since it is located in a Mall, there is plenty of parking available.

OMG.... . how much i love this restaurant! One of the best restaurants in the valley. We are visiting this restaurant for the last 6-7 years, once in a few months, and always very pleases with the food, the ambiance, the service, the prices. Everything always perfect, just perfect! It is a $$$ restaurant, with prices of $$ restaurant. Ant time we have visitors from out of the country, we are bringing them here. We know, they will not be disappointed We used to live in Woodland Hills , but moved to DTLA a year and half ago, but keep coming all the way back, to dine here. Came yesterday for a dinner at 8pm. Our server was Ashley. (I kept the receipt so i will not forget her name). One of the kindness we ever had in any restaurant. She was all smiling, helpful, kind. She definitely helped make our dinner perfect. You can tell that she loves her job there. Best service you can ask for! The food was amazing, as usual. We really enjoyed everything. Hands down to the manager that runs the restaurant so good. There is a lot to learn from him.

They have a program where when you buy a pasta you get a pasta to take home the only problem is the pasta that you get served is more than you can eat so in fact it's three nights worth of pasta and possibly even 4. Of course the reason you go to Maggiano's in the first place is because it's really good Italian food.

prices run from dirt cheap to total rip-off. the huge sausage & peppers appetizer is a giveaway at $9.50 but the rib steak at $39 is highway robbery. the Classic Pastas, buy one get another one for takeout free is a red-hot deal at $14, but the veal at $30 is pricey. the wines by the glass are outrageously expensive for their quality BUT thankfully during Happy Hour (3-6) they have a red and two whites at $5 a glass and they are good quality quaffing wines from Coppola.

The restaurant is huge and nice ambiance. On weekend one must make reservations for dinner, as it's packed. It's very reasonable priced, and very big portions. I visit Maggiano's quite often with friends or family, as they have some choices of gluten free food. The food is just OK. Usually the service is very good, though when it's packed - you might wait very long for your food. It's also very noisy to my taste.

My aunt had her birthday at this restaurant. The party was held in one of the small banquet rooms for about 50 guest. Staff was very attentive and the room was very nice. The food had been predetermined by my other aunts so we didnt get a chance to pick anything outside the chosen menu. However, one woman attending needed a special meal due to being a vegan and they were more than willing to accommodate her needs. The meal started with salad and calamari followed by 2 pasta dishes and deserts.....all very good

We got the opportunity to go to Maggiano’s whilst staying in LA. I can’t praise this restaurant enough. I have food allergies and chef came out to speak to me personally and made me a meal specific to my needs. It was delicious. The style of the decor is Edwardian splendour with lots of would panelling and mirrors. Charming. The rest room facilities are excellent although I did need help accessing them as the disabled facility was behind a beautiful but heavy door. I wholly recommend a visit to Maggiano’s.

Great place to have a very classy dinner. The dinner wait time can be long which means it is a restaurant in high demand. You can reserve a table online ahead of time. The fried Zucchini Fritte is the best fried zucchini that I have ever had. They are long big thin slices of zucchini with a crunchy breading and it is served with lemon flavored ranch/aoili sauce. You get about 6 if them. This appetizer alone is worth a visit to Maggiano's. The Spinach salad is another popular house favorite. A small side salad is plenty for 2 people. I personally like the Chicken Francesse for 16.50 which is lightly breaded and fried chicken breasts with a lemon sauce, served with fried red potatoes and a light and very delicious arugula salad. The Mushroom Ravioli is another popular dish that when you order it the restaurant gives you a second one to take home for no extra cost. You get about 7 pieces of very thin ravioli stuffed with mushroom served with an alfredo sauce. The dish tastes a little sweet. The cost for 2 people ranges from $40-60 depending if you are ordering drinks from the bar. This is a great restaurant for a special occasion or if you are just looking for a really delicious meal.

We have been going to Maggiano's for more than 3 decades! It's with various groups: Family, former coworkers, as well as financial seminars hosted by brokerage firms. I can't really say that there has been a 'bad' meal at Maggiano's. It's always been in the 4-5 rating range, and the same for the service. It is a good-sized restaurant, with numerous rooms for special events, as well as main dining area. We like, in particular, the BOGO - eat a pasta and bring one home free - for about $17 or less. In addition, sometimes there are special coupons if you register with Maggiano's. Portions are big, and you can probably save some to bring home. And the quality of the food is good,

Liked the Food, the server, the Bar, Interior. Disliked, location, mall is sad, half closed, depressing..

I had not been to Maggiano's in quite a while, but recently returned for a small dinner with family. Since I am addicted to Fettucini Alfredo, I was in heaven. Yes, a wonderful added touch is that you get to take food home already prepared by the chef for the next day! Very happy. The only negative was the $15 corkage fee that they charge if you bring your own bottle of wine, but I guess they pretty much do that everywhere. I guess you could have a romantic glass of vino in your car while parked before your reservation, and then go in and eat. Problem solved.

My family and I are regulars here. Food is REALLY good here. I am a fan of the Chicken Frances and Chicken Saltimboca. Steaks are pheonomal here as well. The Filet Mignon and Cheesecake are my favs. The filet has a really great tasting sauce added to it. The cheesecake is light and great tasting..better than Cheecake Factory. You never know what kind of service you'll get though, always a hit or miss. We leave sometimes thinking the service was just great, and other times thinking we should have just ordered it to go. Commented once on the horrible service and was told they were going to send me a gift card for next time and never received it. So now we just usually order ahead and take home to eat. Romantic atmosphere...also family friendly.

We came here for my daughter's birthday, who loves Italian food. She had lasagna, which she loved. I had chicken Francese, which I loved. My other daughter had ravioli, which she loved. The two girls were even able to take another dish home in addition to their dinner...for free! They didn't really do up the birthday thing, but they did bring a dessert to her with candles. We had a group of 10, and the waitress took great care of everyone, except curiously didn't refill my lemonade! If we still lived here, we'd come back for sure!

Went with my couple and some friends for dinner om December 31st. One of my friends previously looked at Maggiano´s website and had already made his mind abour ordering what was shown in the Website as " OUR NEWEST CHEF FEATURE Filet Mignon & Asparagus Risotto", that in the picture looked really delicious. But what he got at the table was really different and it even was somehow disgusting to see. I don´t know if the recipe was wrong, if the guys in he kitchen didn´t know how to do the recipe or if they have a complete lack of quality assurance. I am uploading with this review the photo in their website and the photo of what actually was served. It´s a joke (bad one) or a scam.

A friend of mine held a memorial service at Maggiano's Woodland Hills. It was held in one of their private meeting rooms. Coffee, juice and tea was included with the buffet breakfast. The food and service was both very good. It was a very nice memorial.

The quantity of food served is huge, more than you can eat in one sitting and most diners end up with doggie bags. Overall the food is good but not excellent, the service is just OK. Our orders came out very slow and some dishes were forgotten until we inquired. Go here if you are very hungry and have time to wait.

If Maggiano's is your thing, this one is particularly good. The usual gianormous portions, and even a BOGO deal that day. Bonus features: excellent Martinis and a good outdoor area we enjoyed a lot.

I really love the vibe here..booths, great bar, great music, Sinatra, etc.."old Hollywood" Italian style, great vintage pics on the wall, cool atmosphere for sure. We like sitting in the large bar..nice booths..food always good, service as well..love the family style dinners, tons of food and you can take it home. All and all a great restaurant that always feels right.

We started with a glass of wine each, nine oz size $18. My wife had eggplant Parmesan, I ordered spaghetti with meatball(no "s") and we both had a spinach salad with beacon. The salads were pretty good. The pasta dishes were both quite dry, overcooked. The sauces nothing special. They offer a free serving to take with you. Of course nothing is free. The restaurant is very large and was fairly busy. Open on Mondays by the way. Service was prompt and good. Two people, no desserts or coffee, $100 with tip.

Maggianos is always dimly lit with candle light creating an amazing ambiance. The booths accommodate people like me who are always concerned about the seating in restaurants, as someone with a little more to love than others. The Booths are high and it creates a feeling of privacy so you can enjoy your friends and your mean without distractions. The food is amazing and decently priced. For the size of the potions, it is WELL WORTH the amount you pay.You can easily share anything on the menu. This is coming from someone who loves food! I ALWAYS have left overs to bring home. For Entrees I would suggest the chicken fettuccine alfredo! It is amazing. You can add or substitute shrimp i believe for $3 more and its a good portion. For an appetizer I would suggest the stuffed mushrooms or the calamari! It is wonderful, lighter batter, and not too greasy like other calamaris. For dessert, the lemon cookies are AMAZING! they are crescent shaped and small (about three inches by one inch roughly) You can get them by the dozen or half dozen. They also have an amazing chocolate mousse cake with a thick layer of chocolate on the top. My recommendation for drinks is a apple martini and request they swirl the cup with caramel! It is delicious! Maybe if enough people request it, they will bring back the caramel apple martini! Enjoy!

My wife and I love Maggiano's. We especially like the buy one get one take home meal selection. There are about six meal choices you can do the buy one take one home deal. For $13.95 or $14.95, you get one and take home another. That's about $7.50 per meal. Excellent deal. Great food wonderful service. Highly recommended.

This Maggiano’s really impressed me with their service. We were seated quickly, even though it was busy and we didn’t have a reservation. Our server was friendly and attentive, and one of the first things she said to us was that if we had any allergies or dietary restrictions to let her know and she would be happy to have the chef come talk to us. As the aunt of a child with life-threatening food allergies, I have seen my sister have the allergy conversation in enough restaurants to know that this proactive approach is rare, and I appreciated it (even though it wasn’t a concern for myself and my friend). She also asked if we had dined there before (we hadn’t) and a few minutes after placing our drink order, one of the cooks came out with complimentary bruschetta for us and chatted with us for a minute or two. Clearly it’s something they do for all first-time visitors, but I thought it was a really nice touch. And the bruschetta was excellent. Very crisp bread, just the right amount of balsamic and topped with a kalamata olive. Another thing I liked about this restaurant is that they offer lighter versions of about a dozen of their entrees that run about half the calories of the regular version. I ordered the lighter chicken piccata, and my friend ordered the lighter chicken fettuccini, and we both felt it was more than enough food. The food was good but not great. For example, the tomatoes in my caprese appetizer had been doused with Italian salad dressing – which just seemed unnecessary. There was balsamic already on the mozzarella, and that and the basil should have provided enough flavor. The dressing just made it salty. The chicken in my piccata was unevenly browned – one cutlet was very browned, almost overcooked, and the other had no color at all. But the sauce was excellent, lots of capers and I liked that it was served with braised spinach. And the fettuccini it was served with was perfectly cooked and very fresh. So – not the best Italian I’ve ever had, but perfectly acceptable. I will say the chocolate Kahlua cake was fantastic! Overall, we had a pleasant meal and I would return.

Went to a dinner presentation at this restaurant nice atmosphere big bar, plenty of tables for dinner. One of the private rooms was used for this event. Amazing part was the food large multi serving plates like dinner with the Italian family. I recommend the antipasto salad and salmon. My favorite was desert cheesecake and coffee even took leftovers. Family friendly lots of kids in main dining rooms

We hesitated before going in, as it was 40 minutes till closing time. But we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our waitress was bubbly and lovely, acting as though the night was young and she had all the time in the world. Our food arrived quickly after we ordered, and we were finished by 5 minutes after closing time. The food and wine were great.

Our server was Scott. I want to start with him to give him recognition for taking such good care of us. He was helpful and friendly without being intrusive. That's just what I always want in a server. My sister and I were visiting from out of town and met a friend here. We don't get to see her often so we wanted to visit over a nice meal. That's exactly the experience we were able to have a Maggiano's. The atmosphere is pleasant, I love the old photos on the walls. We were comfortable in a round booth. Water was served and menus were distributed upon arrival. The water was refilled frequently. I chose the Filet Mignon & Asparagus Risotto. It was absolutely delicious. I'd be back to order this often if I lived nearby. The others both loved their meals too. The portions are generous. We were told that if there were any other combinations we would like that were not on the menu, the chef would make them for us. The Marco's Meal for Two seems like an especially good value. I'd return here over and over if given the opportunity.

Attended a birthday party held in one of the small banquet rooms. Food was good and plentiful. Calamari appetizer not overcooked as can sometimes happen. Especially liked the spinach salad. Apple crostata and profiteroles for dessert made everyone happy. Service excellent. One problem - there was a loud party with a DJ in the room next to ours. The bass was pounding. We asked that the music be turned down a bit. Manager took care of it. Nice place to have a party. Apparently others agree. We left at 9:30 and the place was packed with several groups waiting for a table.

My family and I have been frequent diners at this restaurant. We often eat here about once every 1-2 months. If we're ordering for a med.- large party, we usually get a small pan of spaghetti w/ meat sauce (this is our favorite dish!). The quality and taste of their spaghetti and sauce is so good and satisfying. I don't think any other chain Italian restaurant compares (and we have been to a few!). Lately, we've been taking a to-go order because it's a little easier to eat w/ younger kids and a little more convenient at home. But once in a while, we do like to dine-in and the atmopshere and service there is pretty good. We do notice quite a bit of 'families' with children, so it makes us more comfortable and at home you can say. The only complaint that I have is that sometimes I have noticed that the "portions" are smaller at times. I don't know if it's just me... Actually, we just ordered from here just a few days ago and look forward to eating here again soon.

My family and I had an excellent meal at Maggiani's in Woodland HILL Ca. The food was very tasty and the portions were a perfect size we ate every bite ..the staff was beyond wonderful....the waitress Dana was very friendly and professional....I have a fish and seafood allergy and she made sure the chef Jose knew about it and lo and behold he came to our table three times ...first to find our exactly what i was allergic to....second to personally deliver my dinner and again tell me it was totally free fo fish and seafood and third to ask how everything was...this was amazing ....then the manager Osh stopped by to again be sure everything was perfect....the food and service and extra care will have us returning often

Good italian choice!!!

This was my very first visit to Magianno's. Everything about the place was a 5 for me. Starting with the welcoming staff and appealing atmosphere which was upscale yet the prices were not upscale! Even the lady's room was attractive! We ordered the dinner for 2 for $39.99. There were 4 of us, so 2 of us ordered the caesar salad which was wonderful and the others an appetizer....which was fried zucchini with a type of lemon sauce. Best fried zucchini I have EVER had!! The bread was also delicious served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. For the main course two of us had the baked ziti (awesome), another the fettuccine alfredo (another winner), another ordered the "lite fare" fettuccine with asparagus and chicken (amazing)! And to top it off we got to take another entree home!! The final touch was the incredible apple crustini which was to die for. One final mention was our wonderful waitress Amy....she did her job above and beyond!! We have already made plans for our next visit!!! See you there!!!

We arrived at 5:00 pm and the hostess appeared to all but ignore us. I was with young adults dressed casually so I believe that was why. My daughter felt so ashamed and wanted to leave. We were finally seated 20 minutes later. The place was 1/4 full? But once seated everything changed. Our server Andrea was amazing and helpful. The Manager Mark came by our table and gave us a free appetizer. The Chef Mann 's chicken is like something I would make. Amazing. So the good food and incredible service made up for the bad start at the front. Thank You. That made my girls feel so much better

Needed a snack and a beer after softball. Sat on the patio. The food hit the spot and the menu looks amazing! I saved it as a favorite to return for dinner next week!

My wife and I were here for lunch, and we hadn't been here in a while. We live about 20 miles, so we don't get to Woodland Hills that often. We used to come here about once a month for many years. We still enjoyed our meal, Service was very good, BUT ,.... Very disappointed in that they dropped the Eggplant dish, AND ... deeply disappointed that they no longer offer Pasta to Go at much cheaper prices. THAT is two major reasons why we went to Maggianos. Based on the two items mentioned above... we would be very hesitant to go back there again. It's a shame

We didnt realize this was a chain. The food was well prepared and the service was perfect. I had a lunch special of a half sandwich and soup; both very good. They served some type of potato wedges with it which were outstanding. Everyone in our party of four was satiated and happy.

We were a table of 8. Service for drinks and main courses was very slow. My wife's eggplant parmesan was overcooked and poorly seasoned. My pasta was fair. Overall, we will go elsewhere for Italian food next time.

We had a gathering of five classmates from elementary school and since we are all in our 70's we go back a long way. This was perfect place to meet, great food options and super salads, comfortable booths and very good service.

Attended an 85th. birthday party of a friend in a private room with about 60 guests. The restaurant did a marvelous job keeping us happy with lots of family style food on the table all of which was quite good despite the large crowd.

Maggianos is Italian food like your momma wish she made! Start with my favorite the Maggianos House Salad! I tell them to out the blue cheese and prosciutto on the side. I literally want to eat the whole salad by myself but I have to save my appetite for the star of the show! The fresh bread rolls are right out of the oven...dip em in olive oil and Parmesan cheese..or balsamic vinegar. Omg! Ok now if you order off of the Classic menu you get a buy one and get one to go home...you get a choice of what you want to go! So if you want a spaghetti with meatballs there and a lasagna to go...you got it! The servings are enormous! If you go in a group you can order family style and we are talking PARTY!! Eggplant parmigiana is one of my favorites but so is the ravioli! Oh wait the Angel hair pasta or wait... Hahahah it's all deliciousness! We go to celebrate birthdays and yes they come out with LEMON COOKIES...now that doesn't sound so special right?! Wrong! Wait! Anyway Maggianos has switched owners over the years but I think this round they have it right back to the original... Make Maggianos a stop to make! Like Cheesecake Factory you can self sit in the bar area at the bar or tables around the bar without waiting...but you don't really have to wait that long! You will love the ambience...the tablecloths, old photos of Italy, mans Italians and service...you'll love their flatbreads and entrees and desserts! What's not to love! Italians, romance and adventure! Ciao!

When we arrived at Maggiano's, it was a bit busy and we were not seated at our reservation time. In fact, we were asked to wait for a spell before we could be seated. Upon ordering, the food took quite a long while to come out from the kitchen and then was cool (as opposed to warm or hot). The appetizer arrived when the food did. My brother informed the waitress when we first sat that he was very thirsty (after burning his face in the desert the night before) and that he would love to have water coming all night (in addition to the five beers he ordered). He had to keep asking for more water. Overall, a better trip than the last Maggiano's we visited (Denver, 2005), but still an average dining experience.

Our go to restaurant for a nice family meal! Very kid friendly and great food. I have three young kids who all have different tastes but they'll all eat the Rigatoni D. They have a great selection of dishes. You're sure to find something on the menu you'd love. I've also used their delivery service and had a few banquet events there. Their services are stellar! Kayla with banquets and Olga with deliveries! For banquets, they're accommodating. They allowed me to have a casino night event there! For deliveries, Olga came to my home and set my dinning table up. I didn't have to do a thing when she came over. The food is still awesome any way you get it. Bravo Maggianos!

I went to this restaurant earlier this month with 6 friends for a birthday celebration. First of all I am SUPER glad this location is still open - and they checked for proof of vaccine cards. Love that. The server was sweet if a little green. The food was excellent. The problems came from the menu being VERY unclear that the "family style for 4 or more" as stated on the menu requires ALL of the people at the table to get the family style. Which is NOT stated on the menu. So - 4 ordered items from that menu, 3 of us ordered a la carte. The server took our orders and left, never telling us that we al had to get Family style. Maybe because of newness. Problems arose from food arriving in a very random way and a fish entree not coming at all - they told us not even being started coking - until everyone else had finished eating. Both these things also created problems with the bills. However the Manager, Andrea came to our table, and in a very professional manner explained things, understood the confusion & lack of explanations we experienced, and turned what could have escalated into arguments into a calm & professional solution we were all satisfied with. Because of her we left feeling we would return, rather than saying they stunk & we'd never go again. No problems with the quality f the food especially the Cod - SUPER Yummy! And they nicely served the B-day cake we had brought.

My husband liked his eggplant but my raviolis were not that good. Not what I would call a real Italian place. Sevice was very impersonal.

Self employed? Corner Bakery next door way too busy and you want a comfortable place to work, with great food? I chanced this for lunch today and it worked out really well. Nice Frank Sinatra music playing, low white noise rumble of other conversations well spaced out and not interfering with my needing to write. I was parked at a table next to a pillar with electrical outlet so I could write and write. And lunch was AMAZING! Okay - I could have gotten the 1/2 sandwich and salad for around $6.99 - but the mushroom ravioli was too tempting and I could take home the eggplant parmigiana as the "take home included choice". WOW - the ravioli thing was to dream about! I don't know what they put in the pockets with the mushrooms - trying to figure it out - but this was a "WOW!" Where else can you get desserts starting at $3.50 and five of that size for $12.95? I opted for the mini creme brulee. Good size - at about 5" x 3" by 1" deep. Really yum! Comes with homemade bread and dipping oil. IMPORTANT pepper people - the grinder for salt and pepper are "on the table". So is the shaker for the fresh Parmesan cheese. They also have tiramisu, apple Crostada, chocolate zuccotto bites, NY cheesecake, So you could get one of each if you have a group, or a dessert person. (They also have interesting dessert liquor drinks from about $6.50 - $10 range) Great service - maybe not an everyday experience, but for special occasions this is a fun place. A lot of families eat here as they will serve "family style". BANQUETS They do have a nice banquet room here - several in fact. There is a food minimum fee that I find means you pretty much have to guarantee the room will be filled to max capacity. Ie. if room holds 24, you have to buy 24 meals, or was it 23? Anyway, I find it hard to work with. Secondly, they want to charge several hundred dollars for use of a projector and screen. I feel their banquet program needs "reworking". Maybe they only want large corporation business? ............... NICE PLUS Corner Bakery is right next door - their Internet is accessible while at Maggiano's with both restaurant's permission.

This place has great pretensions but the food here is only OK. Any place that gives you an entire second order or certain menu items to take home (e.g. eggplant parmesan) doesn't do itself any favors in not being compared to a fast-food joint. I guess they are easily able to accommodate large parties, but really, the food is completely unmemorable, as is the wine list.

Used to love this place, no longer, will never go back. Why? food loaded I mean loaded with sodium. Bad enough that they made the menu smaller and raised the prices, but the sodium, when my wife and I got home we could not stop drinking water and my daughter called us that she was feeling ill.

Expect a wait and try to call for a reservation. Good food pretty consistent and good service. You can get a classic pasta to go home with when ordering another classic pasta. We usually have leftovers. Portions are good size the place is always busy. Large groups plan specials occasions here. Drinks are great, have a nice bar area. They also have take out. Can be noisy and expect a lot of Frank Sinatra music.

The restaurant was busy, but since we had reservations we were seated right away. The food is fantastic! They had a section of the menu where if you ordered an entree, you received the same entree to go. Since the portion sizes are generous... my daughter now has a freezer full of great Italian food! We were very happy with the service and prices and will definitely come again!

We attended a graduation party in a private dining room at Maggiano's. It was so well done! The setting was very nice enabling us all to be able to visit. The waiter was very attentive and did a superb job. The food was outstanding. We were served calamari, shrimp scampi, gnocchi & sausage, tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake. If we are ever visiting that area again we will definitely dine there.

Maggiano's is an excellent family restaurant because everyone can find something they like. One of the best deals around is their "On The House Classic Pastas" where you choose one delicious dish for dinner and receive another delicious dish to take home. I love this!

What makes for a 5 star review is not only the food. The server (wait staff) can turn your day around (make it great even if deep down you are going they a bad moment or destroy it). My husband and I will only sit in the area that Wes handles. He treats you like family and goes out of his way to take care of you the way he would like to be if the tables were turned. He always does something to make our visit special. Call ahead and make a reservation for his area - you won’t regret it.
A wonderful discovery of an Italian restaurant
We accidentally discovered Maggiano's when we went to a nearby store. We were very impressed with it. Normally we don't eat at Italian restaurants. But this one looked inviting so we decided to try it. It was fantastic. This eatery is huge! We were impressed by the number of people dining here on a Saturday night. And when we left, there were families waiting in line to enter the restaurant. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. We told the waitress that this was our first time eating at Maggiano's. The executive sous chef, Benjamin Carranza, brought us a great appetizer as a welcoming gift to the restaurant. It was a class act. He stayed with us talking about the food and the cooking classes which he offers. We had lasagna, butternut squash soup and tiramisu for dessert. Every dish deserved an A plus. I ordered a drink that was not what as good as I expected. The waitress stated that she would take it off our bill. The "vibe" of this restaurant is wonderful. There is a natural joy from the patrons about being in this establishment. We loved it. We will return.
