Really nice

By mrpesce |

Stopped for an earlier dinner on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. There was plenty of seating although the place was packed and parking was at a premium. The servers were pleasant but not exceptionally quick or attentive. The food was decent but not overly tasty however the portions were better than average. It was very nice but nothing extraordinary. Location, location, location!

Not worth the $

By anita972 |

Rudest bartenders ever!!!very ignorant it's almost like they hate their job and don't want to be here

Great for the Bar, Not the best for Food but o.k.

By DWhite1157 |

The bar is great, friendly staff, customers welcoming to anyone coming in and most importantly the beer is ver cold. The menu is good but the food is just okay, the cheesesteak rools were great but obviously frozen, the soup which I was most excited about since it was Manhatten Clam Chowder tasted like vegetable soup with clams & extra potatoes added. And the burgers are frozen not made there so I do not see why we were asked how we like it cooked it all came the same way. The fries are spectacular - so we would go back for the bar & some fries. Either way ALL the staff is VERY friendly & the decor is amazing if you get a chance to look around & read the pictures in the walls.

Beautiful view of river and great food !!!

Great place to go with family and friends… Great atmosphere to have some cocktails and food… Food was always spectacular and service is always great…

Great Tuesday Happy Hour

By TempleMom16 |

Tuesday has $2.00 domestic drafts and 1/2 price appetizers. Very cold beer and delicious apps. Let me tell you, the appetizers were NOT your typical bar fare. We had the most delicious bronze shrimp. In fact, we had 2 orders of it because it was sooooo delicious. (Get extra bread for sopping up every last drop of sauce) The blackened scallops, also very good. The garlic parmesan shrimp and wings YUM! Our server, Amber was fantastic!!! Very friendly. Never let our glasses get anywhere near empty. Quick to offer suggestions. We can't wait to go back to Philly to got to Maggie's again!

Delicous with a View

By phillyburb |

Just came here for the first time on Sunday May 3rd after doing the color run. The place is really, really nice. The atmosphere, great hang out with limited seating outside. We sat inside, but would have liked to see the Delaware River while eating. Service was excellent and food was really good, really enjoyed the french fries. (They were seasoned.) Seems to have a lot of parking, across or some small parking lots to the left of it. Nice neighborhood, they was a walkable distance to a playgroud. I Definatly would recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

always a pleasurable experience

By yemolash |

Maggie's Riverfront Cafe is my neighborhood "go to" spot for a meal, appetizers, happy hour, and good company. The bartenders and the waitstaff are consistently friendly and welcoming. They offer daily specials including a very good lunch special (check their website as these change daily). I enjoy sitting at the bar and viewing the Delaware River no matter what the weather. Many locals are "regulars"; however, I have witnessed the staff warmly welcoming patrons who indicate they are visiting for the first time. Singles, couples, families, people of all ages, frequent Maggie's. Check if out for yourself if you are in the area.....P.S. Maggie's is very close to the Academy Rd/Linden Ave exit of Interstate 95.

Good Place for Lunch

By Ejf67 |

My husband and I stopped at Maggie's for lunch around noon. A very friendly server came to our table with menus and asked for our drink order. They have lunch specials for $8.88 which included sandwich, burger or wrap with fries and soup or salad. There is a nice selection, and we ordered the crab cake sandwich and fiesta wrap, along with the soup of the day, Chicken Rice. Both lunches were very good. Our server came back frequently to see if we needed anything. We did enjoy eating outside under an umbrella and although you can see the River, there is a road and parked cars between you and the river. I'm sure this place is busy in the evening and we will revisit another time to try their dinners.

Birthday dinner

Two birthday s . 5 celebrating. From steak to hamburger. All enjoyed the food. Was a bit loud (music). But was great discount on Monday for military.

Friendly staff at Maggie's

By rharmon157 |

Great location on the river. The menu has a good variety to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. If your into craft beer then they have over 50 brands on tap. Great staff and very clean place to dine.

Pricey but great location

By John17Avalon |

I realize that it’s a pandemic and that finding help is difficult, but our server left much to desire. The location of this restaurant is paramount, and I’d have to assume that’s why it’s so pricey because neither the food nor the service can justify such prices. The view from the restaurant is great as it overlooks the Delaware River. The place wasn’t so crowded when we arrived and we sat indoors. We waited, and we waited, and we waited, and I’d just about gotten myself ready to leave when our waitress decided to pay us a visit. The kids got water to drink and one of the glasses (plastic glasses) had a huge crack 3/4 of the way down and so it leaked continuously all over the table. By the time our waitress decided to pay us another visit there was water all over the table. Personally, I do not know how you serve someone a glass with such a huge crack in it, but that’s me. Food came out and I ordered pasta, it was then I noticed I didn’t have any silverware by which to eat it, so now I have to get up and go get silverware. The pasta was unimpressive, the sauce tasted like it was straight from a can of Hunts tomato paste. It was borderline offensive, and nowhere close to worthy of the almost $22 I spent for it. Kids and wife all had burgers and loved them, as well as the fries. I’m probably too critical and I try to cut some slack, but having spent 20 years in hotels I do have expectations of someone that is serving me. I imagine we’d probably return though as the family liked it, and it’s really great location, you just need to accept it for what it is.

Great spot

By William Jr C |

It's a must when on the far northeast to either lunch it up or have a decent dinner at Maggie's. Good good good food. Cold beer and a decent cocktail , ask to be seated at Joes station ...

Nice Atmosphere

By Love to Eat |

Lovely evening spent eating and drinking outside. Service was good...did forget appetizer. Seafood Mac and cheese was good. Broiled Seafood combo was very good..mashed potatoes were very dry so asked for gravy but did not expect to pay $2 extra! Drink menu had lots of specialty drinks which sounded delicious. Will try again.

The best of northeast philadelphia

Another great trip to maggies cafe. The food is special. A little noisey, little crowded but great place for dinner or drinks. Great menu and good quality. Nice dinner spot at reasonabl prices.

Awesome Place

By Ashley J |

If Trip Advisor let us do halves this place would get 4.5 stars. Went for lunch with a friend. Beer selection is fantabulous! There is definitely something for everyone. I had chicken Caesar salad and a side of bruschetta. Both were delish! Looking forward to going back again, especially to see what the night life looks like there

best crabs going

By poptat2 |

good prices great food well worth the trip. nice view of the Delaware river. service is great also. crabs were done to perfection.

Great lunch with friends

By karesp52 |

Five of us had a long lunch We would have liked to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river,/boats, but all seats were taken. We sat inside at a table next to the bar. We took advantage of their $8.88 specials, choice of sandwich- soup or salad. Two of us had tuna salad on a croissant with a side of fries. Their fries are great- seasoned, not spicy, a little sweet-different! One friend had roast beef with gravy to dip in on the side and the two others had chicken wraps. No extra charge for casear salad like some restaurants. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Only complaint- waitress never came once to offer to refill drinks- water or soda. Yes, we all would go back for lunch and I would like to go back for dinner. Lots of entrees to chose from.

Waterfront Gem

By joy4818 |

My girlfriend suggested this place on a whim. I’m truly glad she did. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming and friendly. The location is scenic with majestic waterfront views of the Delaware River. We both ordered the egg roll sampler which was superb. I ordered the Bruschetta Burger and she ordered the Rueben sandwich both were delicious. The fries are the best I’ve had in a long time. The menu has something for everyone.

A lot to choose from at Maggie’s

By Foodie Explorer |

I’ve been to Maggie’s on several occasions. The menu has much to offer. Sandwiches include filet mignon, roast beef (both very good), pulled pork and more. Burgers, paninis, and some seafood. Can select seasoned or plain fries as a side, with or without cheese. On this weekend they had Irish dishes. The beef stew was very good. Generous portions. Many beers on tap including their own house brand (an Amber ale). Always a great crowd and vibe. Bands on occasion. Room upstairs for private parties. Great location along the river, particularly on a nice day as it was this day. Will periodically return for sure.

Excellent Prices, Service & Food on the Waterfront in North Philly !

By RoadTripper516 |

I guess I should have known about this place earlier, with all the billboards in the area, but What a Find! The drink and food prices are fantastic. The food is really great and the staff make you feel like they have known you for years. On a beautifully scenic waterfront with outside seating (including TVs). They run a $7.77 lunch special (11am - 3pm) each day. It includes any sandwich or wrap, a salad or chioce of soups, a soda and fries! One day, I had the Fiesta Wrap (with real shirmp not those defrosted micro-shrimp), and it was awesome. The next day I tried the CBLT (Lump Crab "really", Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato) on a Spinach tortilla. Excellent! The Cream of Crab Soup and the Cream of Chicken (white meat you could see) Soup were also great. Many many daily specials like $2 bottled and draft pint domestic beer. This place rocks! (bands on some nights too) Great place to watch a game.

Family dinner

By michelleladyboss |

The four of us went here for dinner and dessert. The food was great ; I had wings. The children had dessert and loved it. The atmosphere was fine. Our server was awesome. I will return again.

Lunch with family

By lisa13225 |

I took my mom and my uncle out for lunch since they haven't seen each other in a while. Maggie's was around the corner from my uncle so that is where he suggested. It's a decent sized place with outdoor and indoor seating and a view of the river. Handicap accessible which they both needed. The chicken salad was large and fresh. The salad with grilled seafood had a ton of seafood in and mom enjoyed it. The prime rib sandwich is a favorite of my uncle and looked delish! I look forward to taking them back there again!

This is one of my go to places!

By Ann B |

This is one of my go to places, whether it’s lunch with my elderly Mom or dinner with my hubby. They have a varied menu and outdoor seating. The food is good there’s a full bar they have a special outside socially distancing area where every table is covered with an umbrella so you should be in the shade most of the time. We’ve been going here for years and I never thought about reviewing it because it’s so close to where I live! It’s across the street from the Delaware river and super close but you can definitely see the water and the boats, however there is parking between you and the Delaware river.

On the river

By twmUpstatePa |

I usually meet some of the guys that I grew up with at Maggies for lunch . Maggie has a very large bar and a pretty good menu . Most everything I have had here was very good. I like the atmosphere and the bartenders also . Maggie's is a good stop.

Judy is the best!!

By Paradise17701749610 |

I was at Maggie’s a couple times in the past few months and I always request Judy as our waitress. Judy is pleasant, patient and prompt. Judy is the best!!

nice view

By acaRich |

I was there for a private party but stopped in the bar and had dinner the view was good of the river the food was good and reasonably priced. nice for the area

Great neighborhood watering hole

By TJPjr |

Other reviewers have complimented many of the main dishes. I ordered the 3 cheese pizza and was a bit disappointed. Not the best pizza in the world. But, the mini crab cakes as an appetizer were quite good. And the pints of Maggie´s Amber beer were only 3 dollars. The service was excellent and the inside of the bar was very nice. I would like to go back on a summer day and enjoy the outside seating and the view of the Delaware river.

fantastic lunch

By Linda L |

We have seen the billboard for this restaurant and this past weekend decided to stop in for a cold beer and sandwich. My husband ordered the special of the day which was a burger with ham and melted cheese. He said it was one of the best sandwiches he has ever had. I ordered their shrimp Casear Salad which was awsome. Our daughter and grandson had the mini cheesesteak rolls and they said they were delicious. The beer was ice cold and their specialty drinks (smores martini) was to die for!!!! Also all of the servers we came in contact with were so friendly....each greeted us when we came in and said goodbye when we left. We are definitely going back to try Maggie's for dinner.

Monday night at Maggie's

By Ashley S |

My husband and I frequently go to Maggie's Waterfront Cafe. Tonight, we went at 6pm and were seated in the dining area (we usually sit at the bar). There were a lot of people there cheering on the Penn State football game. Although it was busy and loud, service was good. Waitress was attentive. They have the best wings around, particularly if you order them well done with hot and honey wing sauce...Overall, Maggie's is a great atmosphere. We enjoy going to have a few drinks and watch a hockey or football game. We will be back again!

Awesome Baby Shower!

By Anita D |

Thanks to Mary Luongo, Derrick, and Leanna, our event was a huge success. The food was great! Service, was wonderful, and Mary made planning our baby shower so easy! The Delaware River view can't be beat, and the 2nd floor event space was perfect for our guests. We can't wait for another excuse to have a party at Maggie's!

First time

By James B |

Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy but the service was good and the food came out in a decent time. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere was jovial. I will be going again.

Retirement Ceremony

By SANAVY1972 |

Fantastic place to hold a special event! Great food, great atmosphere with scenic views of Delaware River, and a very attentive staff. Plan to use again!

Good Food, but...

By dcd0127 |

The food that we ordered was good, the service was good, but the sodas are all watered down. I don't understand why a restaurant needs to mix the soda so weak. Are they trying to conserve money or do they just not know how to do it. It's a very nice location, good food, good atmosphere and good prices. But lousy watered down soda just ruined it.

Good, not great, and "waterfront" an exaggeration

By Beth P |

Good food, good service. But "waterfront" is a bit of an exaggeration, depending on where you're seated. Yes, the Delaware is over there, but from the outside "terrace" your view is largely blocked by the busy street just a few feet away and a line of parked vehicles along the street, and the music volume was way too loud. Maybe you'll have a better view from the upper level of the restaurant, but if you want a truly summertime, breezy, outdoor, river-view experience you'll have to go elsewhere.

Friday night

By farmallpig |

Decided to head to Maggie's to see if the Calimari was as good as previous . We arrived to find a very packed establishment but got seated right away. Cassandra L was our waitress and did an awesome job. We ordered a beer and selected the Calimari and Maggie fries for an appetizer. Great choice, the Calimari is done in olive oil with banana pepper, olives and mushrooms. Very good. We had the seafood pizza, which came out 1/2 way through our appetizers. The pizza was very good. Two guitar players provided good music for the mature crowd. A great choice for a winter evening !!!

Food was good Service is good Manager was rude

By Charlenelovesmike |

We were looking for a after funeral venue, a luncheon honoring my mom. This was close to the funeral home and recommended by the director. We enjoyed a nice lunch and friendly service. While we were waiting for the check the manager was moving tables to accommodate other diners making a loud scrapping noises. Joking I said to him "Easy, you are ruining the ambiance in here" and my whole table laughed. Clearly not serious and making levity. He replied " if you don't like it you can go outside." Then as he walked by he continued with "or go to a different restaurant." So now #1 I will not be hosting my luncheon there. #2 I will never go there again, and I will make sure to tell my friends and neighbors and #3 Will let the Funeral home know not to recommend the establishment again. Customer Service is just as important as your food. BTW our waitress was on the ball and more than friendly, maybe she should be the manager.

Highly Disappointed; Defensive Staff

By Felicelmf |

My mom and I came here for the lunch special and everything started out fine. The lunch special, mind you, is supposed to be $8.88. The waitress, Marisa B, asked me if I would like seasoned fries, to which I said yes and proceeded to ask if I wanted cheese on the side. I said sure. My mom ordered a burger and asked for mayonnaise. Perfectly fine service. Then comes the check. Came out to be close to ten bucks for each meal to which we questioned the waitress. First, she heard me ask my mom why it's more than $8.88 and tried ignoring me asking if we were all set. So I questioned why the prices went up. Apparently my cheese cost extra along with the mayo (who charges extra for mayo in a container smaller than the tubs you get at McDonalds btw). My mom and I said she should've mentioned that prior to ordering as she knew we planned on paying the $8.88. We even asked if we made it on time for it. Marisa B gets defensive, raising her voice saying she doesn't make the rules. The problem wasn't the "rules" it's the fact that a good waitress would have said "Would you like to add cheese on the side for a dollar extra?" Not just sneak it in the bill. My mom was mad at that point and made a comment about her (after she had walked away) but she came back over yelling at my mom that she can't speak to her that way and was loud when she said it (all the while she is yelling at my mom). The manager then came over and basically put the blame on us because of my mom's comment but disregarding the fact that my mom was angry because of how the waitress spoke to HER. We got told we're banned from going back now. Well good riddance Maggie's. Teach your waitresses how to serve properly and you won't get complaints to begin with. I can get better food at a diner. So disappointed in the way the situation was handled.

YUCK

By Destination776354 |

Had to send my burger back overcooked my husband's hot roast beef sandwich looked like shoe leather. Appetizer was good mozzarella sticks. Just a watering hole not good food.

You gotta come here, Irish or not

By D H |

We went here for an after first communion lunch. Just burgers, crab cakes, wings and such. Everything was great and the waitress couldn't have been any nicer. The best part is the location and view of the river. When you walk in, you really do get an Irish feel. The prices were reasonable. The Northeast needs way more places like this!

Love this place

By Edward L |

Yummy pizza, shrimp amd dipping sauce! Expensive bar but what restaurant/bar ism't that has good food. Nice location, riverview, nearby park.

Nice

By Karan R |

Went here to meet up with friends for lunch. The waitress Amanda was amazing, never made us wait for our drinks or any other food need. Maggie's is across from the Delaware river, but you need to walk across the parking lot to get a good view. It can get very loud so I would not suggest a romantic meal. As I said we went here for lunch. I got the Ranchero wrap and cheesecake for dessert. The wrap was dry and I would have preferred if they would have used grilled chicken instead of chicken tenders. The desserts are not made here and they just add whipped cream to them. My other friend got the chicken and crab entre and said it was delicious, but her carrot cake dessert was dry. So I would say the food is a hit or miss. All in all a nice place to visit with friends.

Awesome Place to Go!

By brookeann521 |

I've been here a few times, the first time being only a few months ago. I really love the food. It is so delicious! We have gotten clams casino, the steam pot, and crab topped steak. The crab soup is so good with large pieces of crab in it. The steam pot includes mussels, snow crab legs, clams, shrimp, scallops, potatoes, & corn - all reasonably priced! They put a marinara-type sauce with it which is actually a winning combination. It is all amazing! The watermelon margaritas are a great addition with dinner. I know I'll be back again. The last time we were here, WMMR was here giving away tickets to the MMRBQ and we won! It was a perfect night with an amazing meal and the best company! I can't wait to see what I'll try next time.

Good bar with decent food

By John F |

Bar restaurant, but primarily a large bar. It has a good menu of different foods with a full bar featuring Margherita flights. Also had over 40 beers on tap. Overall, the food was good, but nothing was outstanding. The service was good to start but really showed down when larger groups arrived.

Great view of the river while dining.

By Melissa C |

My husband, son and I were looking for a seafood restaurant while we were in Philadelphia. Glad we found Maggie's! You must get the crab chowder, it was outstanding! My husband got the hot and spicy shrimp and my son got the pizza with fries. All were very good. I myself got the seafood flat-bread which was also so good and enough to take a to go box home. Prices were very reasonable and food was delicious so score! It's right outside of the city and has a huge parking lot. Another great thing about this place is the fact it's walking distance from the park and the hatchery.

Great lunch

By Susanne S |

Can't resist the roast beef sandwich here. It is the best I've tasted. Even without the au jus, it is excellent. French fries are the best.

Great spot on the Delaware!

By KippPatti |

My husband and I went to Maggie's last night for dinner on a recommendation from a friend. We are so happy we decided to visit. The food and drinks were great, the service fantastic. The food arrived piping hot, just like we like it and was delicious. We will definitely make Maggie's a favorite place to eat.

Busy bar

By Ron J |

This is the perfect place for a PHILLY meal. You can’t beat the cheesesteaks, burgers, or beer. They also have complete dinner entrees. Large, very accommodating facility with direct views of the river. There are also plenty of large screen TV’s for watching the game. Plenty of parking A little bit of a challenge for someone handicapped. Staff is friendly. Place is busy, they do accept reservations.

Good food and great customer service

By Michelle G |

Birthday lunch great location friendly customer service food is delicious with great prices and menu something for every with a military discount

A Restaurant to Miss.....

By bdbd231 |

Pre-cooked food that is very overpriced make this a restaurant to avoid. The only positive point is the location on the Delaware.

Great neighborhood spot!

By MaryK0575 |

Went on a Saturday night from the sign we seen in jersey! What a wonderful location. Our server was Bree she was excellent and guided directly to the good stuff! I had a seafood salad with lots of seafood and my husband had the crab imperial special. What a treat definitely will be back soon.

Great View!

By Susan W |

Friendly spot with plenty of seating, the river view is nice the outdoor seating is great. Comfortable and inviting. Food is good and fresh.

noisey, uncomfortable seating, should not be selling dinner entrees.

By Phillypat56 |

Service was average, entrees were okay, no choice for side dishes, just got what ever they they were serving that day. One type of potato, one green veg. Asked for a booth, was seated on a plywood bench with wainscot hitting me in the middle of my back. Had to stand up 3 times during dinner to stop the pain. Had prime rib, it was satisfactory, brussel sprouts seemed to be stewed and tasteless, was not offered bread of any type. The all brick interior made it defining loud, could not hear a word the waiter was saying from a foot away. In my opinion they should stick to pizza & sandwiches and drop dinner entrees, it was fine dinning at it's worst.

Seafood on the waterfront

By srscmh |

Great location on the River with outside seating. Service was quick and attentive. Food was excellent with many seafood selections.

Great Lunch

By Ron Ranella |

My wife & I really enjoyed our lunch. We sat on the second floor above the bar. The service & food were excellent. We really enjoyed the views of the Delaware River. The atmosphere of this café was awesome, we felt so relaxed and not rushed. We would go back in a heartbeat.

always a good meal

By coasterallday |

Eaten here numerous times in the past and never a bad experience. Good food, lots of TV's to watch the games, and Sam Adams...how can you go wrong? Went with the Jack Daniels burger and yummy.

A sports bar with mediocre food.

By dianne24 |

This is a great spot for watching a sports game many TV's scattered all around. I think for lunch outside it would be nice with a water view of the Delaware. It was a bit noisy for me, and the salad was ok, nothing special. I would return for lunch outside.

Good Eats, Nice Atmosphere

By crutt13 |

My co-workers and I have eastern here a few times over the months and hit up a happy hour recently. The place can get pretty packed on the weekends especially during happy hour. There is as good amount of indoor, bar and outdoor seating. There are also several tvs to watch. If you need to wait a bit there is also some good views of the river. The service is adequate, but are typically rushed. The happy hour specials are very reasonable for beverages and appetizers. The entrees are very good, especially the chicken, burgers, wings, sandwiches and salads. If you get the special grits you'll be very surprised as they are seasoned with a mixture of sea salt and brown sugar. They're salty sweet! I'd certainly recommend dining in if you're in the area.

Good food good drinks

By dnsprint |

Went to Maggie's to have a drink and catch the Flyers game. Excellent food. Had the mushroom swiss burger and had a piece of my friends pizza. Very tasty burger and pizza as good as any pizza shop. Drinks were good and our waitress, Farrah, was very nice and attentive. Lots of TV to watch the games. Right across the street from the river and can't wait to go back for the outside areas in the warmer weather. I will be going back again.

Good food but no atmosphere!

By GrantCat |

Bree, our waitress was excellent. Onion soup was delicious as was the cream of chicken (soup du jour). The seafood salad was an excellent value for the quality and quantity of crab, shrimp, and scallops. Prime rib which was ordered by another guest, as medium came more well done but was still juicy with nice crust ( served with a baked potato and vegetable). Front room was very noisy because of the bar. The back room where we ate was quiet but lacking in decor with small tables placed too close together.

Just had the jack Daniels burger and it was really good. The sauce is decent with thick cuts of bacon. The Maggie’s fries are a decent side to complete a good meal

Our weekly diner

By Peg D |

We go to Maggie's almost every Friday for dinner. The service is top notch. The prices are reasonable, the food is outstanding. We love their nightly specials which change from week to week. The Chef is excellent. Brie is our favorite staffer.

Bring back the Clown Shoes

By Nullion12 |

I genuinely like this place but stop cancelling quizzo unannounced, bring back the sampler and the clown shoes beer.

Mediocre at Best

By CrewZen4BrewZen |

On paper it's worth the investigation. Then reality. Yes Delaware River, but can only see parked cars from any seat. We really were on the servers schedule. After taking forever (at anything) she hands the check to me, runs off, hands two more out, ignoring that I might want to pay and leave, then sits down with friends at a table and forgets anyone else exist. Worst server I've had in a very long time, for mediocre food, that leftovers aren't worth the transport. Coffee was the best thing, but creamers were like gold and sweet and low or white sugar only. We now know what we're not missing every time we pass the Linden Ave. exit of I95. It could be a nice bar though, but as a restaurant or place with a view, it flunked both. Food was very bland and over priced (for the product). I tried what the reviewers recommended, so I could only imagine the other choices.

Not Bridesburg

By Stephen R |

My wife took me for lunch because I grew up in Bridesburg. We were impressed looking at the menu. But the Seafood salad was nice but the crab was not lump as stated in the menu & tasted like it came out of the can when it could have been prepped with spices & seasoning. The salad was all greens, no tomatoes, carrots, celery, cucumbers, onions, olives, anything else... nothing but greens. My wife's chicken wrap was their specialty but it was really just OK. Fries were OK. Nothing here to return for. Very average bar food. Good thing the bar was crowded. The bar was the attraction.

Definitely will return

By mariePennsylvania |

Like others, purely on a whim we were looking for a nice place for lunch on a sunny weekday. Little did we know when we got to the end of the street and made a left at the municipal park(and the river) that we would find such a delightful place for lunch. Out waitress, Kelly, was wonderful. Very patient and informative. Lunches Monday thru Friday (sandwiches;burgers and wraps) are $8.88 - any of them and full size. Comes with cup of soup and fries. We substituted a salad for fries for $0.25. I had crabmeat wrap and my friend had crab cake. Soup was delicious and food very good and fresh. Crowded for a weekday and after dining there, we knew why......If a little warmer, outside seating would be wonderful overlooking the river.......

Mobility access issues

By cornyship |

We were part of a reunion party on the second floor. I took my 86 year old cousin who uses a walker, so I found street parking and managed to get get with a walker across the front patio. When I asked which entrance to use, no one seemed helpful, then, I discovered that we needed to go up a long stair case. There is no elevator, but, there is a chair lift. A restaurant employee showed us how to use it, but, the seatbelt is broken and can not be secured without tying it around the rider’s waist. Also, I needed to follow her up the stairs carrying a walker, while pushed the operating button. Coming down after the event was even scarier. If I had known it was this difficult to accommodate my cousin, I would not have come. This overshadowed my whole experience. We had an Italian buffet of pasta, chicken, salad and vegetables.

Surprised

By Jeff F |

Went there on a whim after seeing their billboard. Big surprise. Warm Sunday afternoon with the doors open and the Delaware River in sight from the bar. The bar is long and all seats have direct view of several tv's. The have a large selection of draft beers and seafood. Both were excellent. Didn't go up but there is a large upstairs for private events so I thought Maggie's might be a good location for our company holiday party. All in all the place was just what I was looking for. I highly recommend it!

"waterfront" is not the same as "river view"

By BeeTravelBuzz |

Both the food and service were good, nothing incredibly special. There is a good selection of beers both on tap and in the bottle. Had the lobster ravioli with crab-wish there was more crab but it was delicious. The outside seating area is a good size-I guess this is new (it was my first visit). there was plenty of shade if that's what you wanted. I was disappoint in two things: 1) plastic chairs and tables outside. It really cheapened the experience. Like maybe I was eating frozen lobster ravioli and canned crab covered in Heinz Cannes tomatoes. 2) and maybe this is just my ignorance not being from the area, but we couldn't even see the river from the outdoor seating area! I was expecting a relaxing view of the river as we ate, but apparently "waterfront" is not the same as "river view". I also feel like the place is too big and has too much variety on the menu to be able to keep a hold on good quality-the hostess told us three of the dining areas had just opened up but the kitchen was still the same size. Hopefully they won't get careless. THAT BEING SAID... I will return-with friends- to sit and enjoy drinks on the patio because it has a nice atmosphere!

Maggie's Waterfront Cafe

By missimin |

Maggie's has a great location facing the river with outdoor seating in the nicer weather. Their lunch food is good, their drinks are good. I wasn't impressed with their dinner fare but it may just have been what I ordered because my companions seemed to enjoy their dinners. I like going for lunch and the crab soup is excellent as is the crab bruschetta.

Awful service, extremely rude management

By Ctrunc |

Made a reservation for a party of 11 on Mother's Day we were seated 20 minutes late and just left. 25-30 minutes later a waitress came to take our drink order. We waited another 10 minutes for that watching the wait staff stand around chatting with each other. We received our drinks then were ignored for another hour to which we asked for a manager and were ignored again. We then left and on the way out the owner was approached and just blew us off. If they could not handle the crowd they should have never taken the reservation. I will never go back there again!

Its ok, not overly impressed

I've seen the giant signs on 95, so we decided to try one night. I understand that it was almost Christmas time and the crowds were to be expected. We were seated rather quickly. The server attention time was good, but I don't think the burgers were all that. The fries were eh. The appetizer was good - crab balls. So perhaps their seafood options are good. Not sure if I'll go again to try.

Spur of the moment

We just happened to be out looking for a lunch spot and randomly decided to check out Maggie's Waterfront Cafe. Only 1 of us had been before. Hot delicious soup, it was New England Clam Chowder, very clammy. A chicken buffalo steak and a beef steak sandwich rounded out the meal, just enough portion wise, very good and did I mention hot. Never have we ever received food that was this piping hot, it was actually refreshing. Also chose the house fries which are sweet and salty, interesting but well prepared. It looked like they are closing in on an addition to the building. As it was Monday which is Honoring our Hero's day, there are specials for active and retired Military, Police and Firefighters. Maggie's is definitely a try back for dinner!

Great Dinner

I just want to say I love the food and the staff are all very nice. The view is really nice and tables outside. I haven't eaten up stairs yet, But I here it is very nice. I don't think the prices are to high and my food is always fresh.

Best place in the Northeast🙌🏻

Maggie’s is a great place for drinks and dinner! Atmosphere is fantastic with a beautiful view! Best bartenders and wait staff (in which many have become friends).

Friday Night eats

I have been to this business on several occasions. Generally it's very loud, it's a bar....food has always been excellent and consistent. Our server for this visit was very friendly, made sure we had drinks. She didn't come back to check on us after our food came to the table, twice I needed to flag someone down for extra napkins and a plate to put the wing bones on. What all three guests didn't like was that the server keep calling us Babe...so unprofessional. Overall good food, always crowded so be prepared to wait.

Friendly bartenders; good food

This is close to our home so we love to stop here on the way home from sporting events in Philly. The BARTENDERS ARE always FRIENDLY & so are the patrons. The food is consistently flavorful. Give it a try.

Disappointed!

Disappointed - Gave them another chance, but disappointed again! Meals were overcooked & dry, roll was stale. Wasted our money! Waitress was very good.

Gotta Like It

By John A |

It's not fancy, the food is decent and consistent with the type of restaurant, there are a lot of beers to pick from, there's a nice outside seating area and bar and your close to the water. It's above average for the area and a fun place to go in the summer.

Glad we stopped

We were actually looking for another restaurant when we seen a bill board and decided to check it out. I am soooo glad we did, This place is neat. Its friendly and bustling. The staff are extremely attentive but the best part is the food! What a menu! Something for everyone. We got the NY strip steak it was excellent. Although their garlic parm wings are good { I am a sucker for Currans wings} the rest of the food was really good. Not a bad price. Defiantly going to try this place in the summer they are building a huge outdoor bar area. cant wait!!

Amazing as always

I love going here. Food is amazing and they have great beer selections and everyone who works there is always so nice and friendly.

average food and rude staff

By Khadija T |

This was our second attempt at this restaurant, however we didn't eat here the first time, we stopped by on weekend for lunch and it was so loud we couldn't stay, a goup of teenagers were having a party right in the middle of the dining room with speakers blasting Justin Bieber music and screaming. We decided to give it a try another day for dinner, we didn't know what the protocol was for dining in so we stood at the enterance waiting for a hostess and several people from the staff passed by without any acknowledgement, we had to look around for the person who is supposed to seat us. As we were waiting by the bar, the bartenders like to flirt around with each other and push and shove one another, I was bumped several times by the staff that were fooling around like a bunch of kids, however our waitress was friendly. The food was average, my husband got a seafood entree, while I got a cheesesteak which was very dry and lacked proper seasoning of the meat. This place all and all is not worth a visit.

Stay far away

By Ursula C |

I should have known to leave when they handed me a drink menu that one side just for 32oz buckets. Food was less than what you would expect from Long John Silvers. Good service, cafeteria atmosphere, terrible drinks, bad food all around. 0/4 were able to eat their dinner

More than a restaurant it's a......

By Cabana-Boy-and-Girl |

More than a restaurant it's a locals place, it's a meeting place, it's a parking nightmare. There were six of us old people who decided to go here for dinner. We had made reservations for a Wednesday evening and its a good thing we did, the place was mobbed. We had requested to be seated looking out over the water at Maggie's Waterfront Cafe. Be advised the Delaware River must be at least 200 or 300 hundred feet away but we sat out on the patio and they had a water feature (fountain) out there. If we stood up on top of our table we would have been able to see the river but short of that you needed a really good imagination to see the river. Having said all that no one complained about the food. Everyone got something different from pasta to crab cakes. Service was pretty good considering the crowd. We were happy to be outside as the noise level inside was pretty loud. Several women complained that they did not like drinking martinis out of plastic cups, I myself would drink it out of my hand if I had to. They have a policy of no glass on the patio. We started an 6:30 PM and by the time we left around 8 PM or so the crowd was tinning out. We had parked down by the Linden Avenue boat ramp and as long as you are out of there by 10 PM it does not seem to be a problem. The boat ramp was not our first choice but after circling the block a couple of times it turned out to be the best option. Try it, you may like it.

Fabulous return trip

We have recently gone to Maggies to celebrate a friend's retirement. We wanted to go somewhere where we knew we wouldn't be rushed and where the food and drink would be great. Maggies did not fail us. Once again, the food was delicious and the drink was great too. They had a few great specials on their menu on this day and we all tried one of the specials. We also had the most delicious Bloody Mary's. My husband tried their cream of crab soup and it was unbelievable. This bar/restaurent is definitely becoming one of our favorites!!!!

Atmosphere and Good food :)

Dinner with DH

By Rochelle L |

Maggie's was a nice place for gathering of friends but it was crowded. Tables are very close to each other. There are a few outside picnic tables but the atmosphere outside was nothing to speak of. It is located on the river but you can't see much of the river from Maggie's unless you cross the street n go up to the fence. Food was exceptional. Cost was $110 for dinner although we had some cocktails included in that bill for four people. Have been there for lunch and was definitely more spacious and not as loud at lunchtime. Service was terrific. No problem parking.

Glad we found this place!

Looking for a place to watch Euro 2016 final. Huge selection of draft beer, reasonable food prices. I would skip the Cajun wings......not much taste. Patio very nice, view of Delaware River across the street. Plenty of staff, great service. Definitely will be back.
