Food was great and the service from Maidi was excellent. She was attentive and genuine with nothing an issue for her. If in Chicago again, we would go back

Delicious food and beautiful atmosphere! Very quiet and relaxing, a treat for all the senses. The portions of the very reasonably-priced lunch specials were enormous – one order would have been more than enough for two people for dinner!

Decent Indian restaurant in Chicago. Some of the vegetarian dishes are tasty not spicy. Paneer tikka , naan , curry and biryani are simply superb. Staff are nice and quick. I celebrated my birthday with family. They gave a desert looking like a cake with carrot halwa, Gulab jaman and kaju. Enjoyed the visit.

We had a fabulous meal. We eat a lot of Indian food in the UK and this was really good great quality and amazing flavour. Service was great especially Kranthi was very busy but food came in good time but we did not feel rushed. Would definitely reccomend

My daughter and I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. We eat Indian cuisine whenever we can and this did not disappoint. Even just the naan and the rice were wonderful. Seriously, I'd eat the rice as a main dish! Our server, Khusi Agnelo, was super helpful and attentive. I'd go there again in a heartbeat!

When we walked in, it was almost all Indians eating there so we knew we landed on the right spot. Unfortunately, it was too busy for us to dine in so we took the food to go. It was very, very good. Highly recommended. Make sure to book in advance on the weekend.

This was one of the best meals we had in Chicago, moderately priced. My husband had the Tandoori Royal Platter, and I had the Maharaj Mix Grill. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was fun. Everyone must try!

This was the best Indian I have had in Chicago. Me and my girlfriend try Indians everywhere and this is one of the best in terms of food and service. 100% recommend if you are in Chicago

Very good Indian restaurant! Good food and good table service from Maidi and Lavy. We had the tandori and Maharaj menu. Was outstanding.

An outstanding affordable Indian restaurant in close walking distance of our concert at Symphony Center. The ambiance was pleasant, the service efficient and friendly, the food fresh and excellent. I will definitely be back. We had gobi matter, mattar paneer, nan and steamed rice. Medium spicy was the perfect mix -- just spicy enough for us. My companion had a mango lassi that was great, I had a glass of my favorite sauvignon blanc, and the dessert of rasmalai that my dining companion had was exactly perfect (in her words). We walked in on a Saturday evening about 6:00 and were immediately seated. However, the tables did fill up -- a reservation might be a good idea.

Sat nite dinner. We had early theatre tickets so I made a reservation. The service was prompt and friendly. Food was very tasty and well prepared. Price reasonable. My only negative was one our dishes was not as warm as I would have preferred.(I did not ask to have it rewarmed) Located under the el, but not a factor especially because music was playing. Definitely recommend

An extremely delicious and filling lunch special. Started off with complimentary papadum and then to the two main courses, rice, and naan. All for under $14!

Great food and lovely service. Good menu choices. All were much enjoyed. Would recommend.

An expansive place with all the Punjabi folklore settings. All the usual tropes - a village well, a lass drawing water, two girls tangoing in Baisakhi, the yellow and white milestone indicating "Punjab 0 Kms", etc. They also have a 350-seater Banquet space, which is salutary. The food was as good as it came: the parathas were good, the butter chicken masala was thick gravy with sufficient succulent chicken cubes, the paneer Mutter had disappointingly frozen peas instead of fresh ones, and the cream quotient hit the roof in both cases. I also met the owner, Mr A.G. Singh, who gave me a background of the place. This is his fourth restaurant by the same name, and he also invited me to visit the other locations. Comme ci comme ca.

We were there to have Indian cuisine, good variety. They went out of the way to prepare a jeera aloo with out onions and garlic for my parents. I didn’t like the bread basket much becoz they were not crispy. Rest food was ok.

Great food, big portions, super friendly service, very good value for money, but probably not the perfect location (basic furniture) for a marriage proposal! We would definitely love to come back!

We ask our amazing waiter, Addie, to pick out some of the most popular dishes after giving him a few suggestions. He did an amazing job and everything was delicious. We would definitely recommend this place. Great food and service. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

Excellent food and service. First night we had the Keenan samosas and the Maharaj Dinner special between the two of us, delicious and great value. We also had a bottle wine also great value. Second night we had the Lamb Rogan Josh, very delicious ( thank you chef Maidi ) and Chicken Tikka Masala, food and service again superb, definitely recommend.

Came in for a late lunch and their lunch special was perfect! Good portion and price. Service was wonderful and fast.

The food and service were excellent, and the lunch specials offered great value. I highly recommend it! Be sure to try a Gulab Jamun for a delightful treat afterward.

Absolutely love their food. After trying 20+ Indian Restaurants in Chicago and north shore area I found Maharaj Indian Grill to have the best tasting authentic Indian food. Their lamb chop masala, daal makhni and matar paneer are a real treat. The naans are good too. Wel come to chicago Loop

Chicken Biriyani, Chicken 65 and Mango Kulfi as sweet dish was excellent. Great ambience, felt like India, with diversity… Had a wonderful dinner with friends today with the courteous and generous service of Maidi… Thank you Maidi for your hospitality and ever smiling face… people like you are an asset to any organisation and in the hospitality sector you have proven yourself, the way you interacted with the toddlers cheering them up was also so amazing, WoW Maidi, keep it up and may God bless…

Great location between Millennium Park, Sears Tower, south part of theater/retail district and the Loop. Found on Google maps. Expected more of a cheap lunch environment at these prices, but it was a beautiful dinner restaurant in a pretty building. Excellent sauces, and Maidi the server explained the ingredients to us.

I loved the food here. The ambience is amazing and the staff is super friendly. The quality and the quantity of the food served is very good. I loved their lunch options. The pricing is very good for an Indian restaurant. I had a great time eating here with my children. I will definitely go back here.

This was a lovely place for a party of seven to have dinner. The food was excellent and the staff was knowledgeable and attentive.

Excellent Indian restaurant both with food and service. Prices are very, very reasonable and a large array of dishes to choose from. It is located inside a building with windows that face Van Buren. I will definitely go back, which is saying a LOT with all the choices there are in Chicago.

Very good food. Great service. Neat seats at some tables. We got a meal for two and it was enough for 3 really. Prices were reasonable too.

The food was excellent, and the service superb! Easy to find next to DePaul University and close to so many wonderful attractions.
Mouth watering delicious!
This is the most authentic and classy place that serves a combination of North Indian cuisine. This time, we were a party of 10, and every drink, appetizer, and main entree was on point. The Naan was superb. The spices used left a lingering taste. The staff and owner are at another level. Attention to detail was a nice change. The decor and ambiance was perfect for our event. A must place to visit when in Chicago.
