Amazing late night meal!

By stefann17 |

After visiting clermont lounge, I was rather hungry and did not want Waffle House. A friend and I decided to stop by this diner to eat! What a treat! The chicken quesadillas and black beans were delicious and the service was awesome. If you are in the area, I recommend this diner.

Walked and walked out

By Clare G |

Went in on Thusday at 6:00pm, no customers and staff was sitting around looking at their phones. The grill looked like it had never been cleaned. We were told to sit anywhere . Walked up to a table and it had not been wiped off. Overall feeling the place was not clean. Left and went to the Metro Cafe Diner. Loved it.

Amazing pancakes, perfect coffee

By EmmePink |

I'm a huge fan of diners. This was one of my favorites so far. Quick service, strong coffee, turkey sausage and fluffy pancakes. I'd wake up early everyday if I lived near by.

Saturday morning happening place

By Theresa D |

A big Saturday morning was being enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Gorgeous classic diner with a long counter that was also full. All the diner favs available and what I ordered was just as requested and delicious . Coffee very good and serves generous

Amazing Pork Chops!

By Bonitaruss |

My date wanted to go here. So glad I did. Ordered the Fried Pork Chop with Collards and fries. Let me tell you...I want to go back right now!! The Collards are fresh (not from a can or frozen) cooked in meet broth. Very flavorful. That Pork Chop was soooooo crunchy, hot and fresh, I thought I would die from happiness. Great, low budget place!!!

Pricey. Good but pricey.

By Robert N |

The club sandwich was more than I could handle but it was almost $15. Crowded but not uncomfortable. No decor to speak of. The food was good though. Glorified Waffle House

i hear they have roaches. and soggy grits and bad coffee.

So good!

I have been here several times and have yet to taste anything that was disappointing! I really enjoy the breakfast tacos (Eggs Rancheros Ala Majestic). They’re decent with chorizo, but I think I prefer them without. Pancakes are top notch; bacon is good. I haven’t had the chicken, egg and cheese biscuit but it looked really yummy on someone else’s plate. Can’t wait to go again and try something new (maybe). :)

great breakfast

By Bbqman3341 |

24/7 breakfast mainly served here but with an eclectic street prescence. good food, friendly service in a warm inviting caring old time diner legendary among poncy highlands regulars. lets hope they will always be there. famous for their bottomless cup of coffee.

Quick dinner YUMMY and QUICK!

By pgreene42 |

My husband and I were starving after leaving Emory Hospital. We drove past the Majestic, and quickly turned around after seeing the neon sign. The diner is open 24 hours, so we didn’t know if we were getting a Waffle House or a Denny’s. It really didn’t matter due to my tummy growling. I ordered the French toast with bacon. My husband ordered the cheese burger. Both entrees were delicious. Ellie was our server, and she did an awesome job. She was quick to refill our drinks, and she offered us cups to go. The Diner was well worth our time.

Go late night after the pubs

By Edrick0330 |

If you show up here late night after the pubs close you get an entire mix of people that would kind of remind you of Don Henleys Sunset Grill. The Denver Omlett was good, burgers are good. Friday and Saturday nights late at night there can be a wait with a line out the door if you go to late. Mornings are busy but just as good. I have eaten here several times and never been let down yet.

It's so magical. So... Majestic? Used to be no where better to go at 3am half drunk and winding down. Little different now with the new smoking laws, but still as popular and wonderful as ever. Don't expect friendly service whatsoever. It's part of the charm, I suppose?

The Fonz would not approve.

By TandyBee |

The waiter was friendly, but the cheeseburger and fries were sub par. I hope their other selections are better. The burger did not have any flavoring, and the fries were just plain home fries. No wow factor to taste. No bang for my buck on this visit.

Love it !!!

By KayJay1mom |

Great service, good meal, breakfast 24 hours and you will get a large portion and if you are a vegetarian there are a few options for you as well. I enjoyed my meal.

Great variety and service.

By Shaun B |

We stopped in to grab a quick bite and were surprised by the variety of choices on the menu. I opted for a Chicken Quesadilla and my wife ordered Blueberry Pancakes. Both were excellent quality and I had to get a to-go box for the last 1/3 of my Quesadilla, its a considerable meal! Our waitress was helpful and attentive.

Just you average (more expensive) diner

By whitneyncooper |

When you walk in, you have to seat yourself. The menu has a nice variety, but the food is more expensive than you'd expect from your average diner (though it's probably due to the area it was in). Still, it did the job. I got the chicken salad, which was better than expected. It was also a bit chilly, so if you're cold-natured, bring layers.

Good cheap diner food!

By Laurie W |

We stopped in here on a visit to Atlanta.. It was kind of empty but honestly, great food and the waitress was super sweet. It's just good diner food.

Tuna Melt from Heaven!

Amazing tuna melt on rye! Great diner atmosphere. Great service! Convenient location! Well priced. My friend said the double bacon cheeseburger was incredible!

Good Food

By Vicki C |

We stopped here for lunch after doing a 3 hour bike tour of Atlanta. It was your typical diner style restaurant. We were told to sit anywhere and sat at the counter. The waitress was friendly and gave us suggestions for things to do for the rest of the afternoon. The food was really good and the portions were huge. Our hotel only offered muffins for breakfast, so we decided to go back to the Majestic for breakfast the next day. Again, we sat where we wanted, kids at the counter and my husband and I at a booth. The food was good again and huge portions. Though I thought the prices were a little high for a diner. Our lunch was $50 and our breakfast was about $45. That seems kind of high in my opinion. But you did get a lot of food for the money. I would most likely go back if I am ever in Atlanta again.

Never Again--does this place even have a manager?

By Vanessa K |

Can I make it zero stars? I grew up in the area and the Majestic is a landmark. Not great food (it is a diner, after all) but decent food at a decent price with good people-watching. And not great service (again, it is a diner) but reasonably fast service with--if not a smile--at least a howdy. No more. My fiance took me to breakfast at the Majestic this morning because I wanted pancakes. He ordered a two-cheese omelet and my son said "I'll have the same as him." So when another waitress brought two omelets to the table and I saw that one had a toothpick in it, I knew something was up before she asked who had the cheddar and who had the American. We told her they should both have both. She sighed and said "We'll remake them." First waitress came back and said "This one does have cheddar and American. The other one will be up in a minute." I said we'd appreciate a "sorry for the mix up." She glared at me and walked away without a word. So at that point we walked away, too. Fiance called and asked to speak to the manager. When he got to the part about the waitress glaring at me and walking away, the manager HUNG UP ON HIM! There are a lot of better options for the same price within a mile or two. The only reason to go to the Majestic is if it's two a.m. and you're drunk enough not to care about bad service.

Classic Diner

By Erin R |

Great breakfast with a chill atmosphere. Felt like I was stepping back in time at a vintage diner. Great service and great value for a quick breakfast.

Always perfect

By Jesus A |

Simple diner with great food, quick service and great prices. Gyro omelet are the best but they also have great burgers 🍔.

Good breakfast

By Crystal X |

We stopped in there for breakfast on Sunday morning. French toast, Denver omelet and hash browns were good. I would skip on buying another bagel breakfast sandwich and the tiny amount of bacon you get for the additional money was not worth the cost. No waiting line the morning we went but our food came out slow. Server was nice and our order was accurate.

fun diner food

By PCFamily |

We visited at a ridiculously early hour after a red-eye into ATL. The breakfast options were good, solid diner fare. Waffles were tasty with crispy outsides. The French toast was from thick-sliced white bread with good batter, and a little sprinkle of cinnamon and powdered sugar to finish. Eggs were cooked as ordered, and the corned beef hash fan was pleased to see it was the chopped variety, shaped in a perfect round to give crispy outsides and hot moist insides. The bacon slices were a good thickness (not too thick or too thin) and cooked to crispy perfection. The pancakes tasted just right, and were too huge for the tween who ordered them. :-) Service was friendly and the staff seemed interested in making our visit good. When we arrived, the night crew was finishing a full mop-down of the table area, and with 5 we were not the right size party for the regular booths. The young lady who ended up as our server offered to take down chairs and move some tables around in that area, but we were happy to sit at the counter stools to watch the yummy food. With all the options in Atlanta, and this area in particular, I hope we end up in the neighborhood again at lunch or dinner. As traditional and no-fail as the breakfast options are, there are some awesome looking options on the lunch/dinner menu that I'd love to try for fresh tastes. I suspect our lunch/dinner rating for this spot might be even higher.

Fresh, generous portions!

By FirewalkerC |

While you wouldn't know it from the relatively depressed area around it, the Majestic Diner is a true hidden gem! We arrived recently for a late breakfast and our party of 5 was seated in a surprisingly spacious round corner booth. After days of "too many" carbs, the fresh omelets were a delicious departure. The delicious ingredients were freshly chopped by hand and instantly made for a delicious culinary experience! The owners and staff should be congratulated on the job they've done turning what was probably an old dilapidated location into a smart and sexy up-and-coming restaurant. The free WiFi is the icing on the cake. Excellent!

Local diner serving fresh breakfasts in a casual setting

Stumbled upon this place around the corner from the Highlands Inn and had a great breakfast! Old fashioned diner with a local feel. Enjoyed it, will return!

Are you looking for the Heart of Saturday night? I sometimes am. Well this is it. Tom Waits is at the counter having eggs and sausage. I like the BLT and two over medium. Dip your sandwich into the yoke.

Oldie but well worth it

I was in the area and just wanted to enjoy a spot that I frequented years ago. Place has not changed at all. Food is the same and love the breakfast here. Waffle House rules in the south but in this part of Atlanta Majestic Diner is the spot!

Great after a concert!!!

By Josephine P |

Caught a show with an old friend, and she had an itch for chicken and waffles. Not really my thing. However... A Greek Lamb burger with Feta cheese and tzatziki??? Sign me up please! It came with fries, but this monster was so big I did not touch even one! It was delectable! Highly recommend!

What is the hype about?

By Joe P |

I was in town for a 5K race and I decided to take my wife to the Majestic Diner for a late breakfast. This place was not crowded and the service was good but for the price we paid and what we received, we would have been better off at the IHOP. The menu was ridiculously expensive for a diner but I will attribute this to being in Atlanta and it being a "hip" or trendy spot for breakfast. Go to any IHOP or Waffle House and get the same if not better meal for a much more reasonable price.

Much better value and comparable food at Waffle House

By AsicsGEL77 |

I do think there is something to be said about eating in an authentic diner that's really old. Majestic Diner gets high marks in that regards. To be a restaurant that I would regularly return to, it needs to strive to excel in the present. The food was really just average. My girlfriend ordered the waffle and was not happy at all. More than once, she said she consistently had better when she goes to Waffle House. My burger and fries....ummm....just average. The service was fine. In fact, our server made a fresh pot of coffee for me which was very much appreciated. I was surprised that they didn't offer cherry coke at a diner.

Great Spot, and still authentic feeling!

By Emily K |

Def stop in, if you are in the area! It’s pretty basic diner food, but service was good. Loved the atmosphere, and authentic feel!

Only could have been better if I were hungover.

By RustyPickles |

If there's one thing that's uniquely American, it's the greasy spoon diner, and the Majestic nails it. If I lived in Atlanta I'd probably be here once a week.

Could be something great

By itsme32221 |

This diner is wonderful. It has a storied history, great location, and a wonderful interior. The staff were pleasant and efficient. However, the food was barely average. How do you mess up pancakes? The others around me seemed to be enjoying their meals. If they could just up the quality of their food, then it could be awesome.

What a joke!

By Shelby C |

We were hungry after a concert and wanted some food. We chose the wrong place! We walk in and were given no direction on where to sit. Then, we were greeted about 10 minutes later by a girl named Rebecca. We placed our order and our wives ordered Strawberry milkshakes. Those arrive early before our food. Eager to try them, my wife dives in. What we tasted was an overly sweet, ice cream with strawberry syrup. And for the price tag of $5, it shouldn't be this way. We told Rebecca that we didn't like them, she said, "Oh, well. Okay." What wrong with them?" We told her, "It taste like ice cream with strawberry syrup and it's not good. There are no strawberries in them." She replies, "That's what it is, and for future reference, that how ALL of our shakes are." We told her they probably weren't good either then. After our meal, I went to the restroom. When entering, there was a staff person rolling a blunt like it was normal. Didn't wash his hands, then continues to serve people food. This place was a joke. While I understand it was late, that is no excuse for poor service, food, and attitudes.

Cheat Meal

By OnyInTheCity |

I love it! Laid back old fashioned diner! I started a cleanse about 10 days ago but this happened to be my birthday weekend so I gave myself a pass! I happened to have some friends in town from NY and our schedules would only allow us to see each other around 7am on Sunday morning and Majestic Diner is open 24hrs! So it was the perfect choice for breakfast and my Cheat Meal! I ordered french toast(which was the normal kind you had growing up- no fancy bread), eggs scrambled medium well with cheese, turkey sausage( I really wanted bacon but since I was "cleansing", I delighted my appetite by looking at the order on the table next to mine!) lol and finished that off with a cup of hot tea! The servers are very friendly( family style); greeting you with a smile. I haven't tried lunch but I saw some steak fries with a BLT at another table and it made me want to order them on another Cheat Day! I'll definitely go back!

Great diner!

Busy diner, institution in the area, great food and great service. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. Love the busy atmosphere and good service.

Fast and tasty breakfast

By DD S |

In and out quickly even during a Sunday morning breakfast rush. The food was good and reasonably priced, with all the typical Southern breakfast staples including delicious grits. Service fast and friendly. Would go any time!

Wonderful, old school Diner

By Don T |

This place was a last second left turn and a good one. First, an amazingly restored Art Deco style shopping center with theatre. Second, local banter amongst the customers and employees, even though it is a busy area. Clean restrooms, great service, Gyro & Tzaziki, and folks loved their Melts. Then, a slice of flaky crust, homemade Apple Pie for the elderly Dad. His favorite.

Excellent beeakfast!

By Armond B |

This is hands down the best breakfast diner food I have had! The pancakes were worth fighting someone over! I had eggs, sausage pattie, grits, toast and pancakes. I can't wait to go back and eat there again!

Okay

By Vanessa P |

I ate there after the Hawks game last night, because the Vortex was closed. It was my first time there. I ordered the chicken gyro and fries. The fries were cooked fresh and it was plenty. The gyro was good, but could have used some extra seasoning, because it was a bit bland. The place is old, so don't go expecting mu children of the interior.

Great Atlanta Style Classic Diner since 1929

By jeffaudit0418 |

I have been eating at the majestic for about 35 years, it has changed but not for the worse. I remember the Majestic from the 60's when it was not in a desirable part of town and next to the old "Ray Lee's Red Lantern Lounge" which usually had a few shootings, stabbings a month and was frequented by the old time Atlanta Urban class referred to as "P.W.T." which was one of the general classifications of Southern Sociology for uneducated Caucasians that did not live in a rural area (Poor White Trash.) To me they were really nice, down to earth people even if they did think I was out of my element when I hung out in their neighborhood. I started eating at the Majestic in the 80's when it was still considered somewhat of an Urban Pioneer area and like the food and hours that suited my fulltime work and College schedule and was close to Georgia State University. It still is an Urban Crowd diner but the Urban Crowd is now gentrified. Sometime during the Bush Administration the place changed hands and had a subtle renovation and I like they way they did it; still a classic diner look and they did not change the general look or layout just updated everything to look like a redone version, same counter with new stools, nice stainless steel hood and wall with classic dine signage, nicely done and when I go there it still feels the same. Occasionally an older relic customer from the past wanders in and the old days are brought to life. The Food - was always pretty o.k. and really cheap but now it is really and truly good, fresh, good size portions and basic diner fare with the Southern Standards still there, Collards, Fried Chicken, Fried Okra, etc. the Okra is to die for. The ice tea is so much better than the old days and the coffee is excellent, and I'm picky about my coffee. The main attraction is the 24 hour breakfast because its, again, fresh and the portions are large, ommlettes are now the dominant item and the waffles and pancakes are way above the old days, fluffy and cooked to an even brown with no raw mix leaking onto the plate like the old days when Atlanta's Streetwalkers came here after a hard nights work and for some shop talk amongst the girls and their pimps. The character has changed but the food is better, matter of fact its really excellent. Today the neighborhood is full of upper income professionals and a large amount of families. The service is the standard Hipster Youth type, ebulent with little depth and you have to remind them that you need refills. The high level of friendliness only goes are far as your tip. As most people know that are my age you miss the old days. The waitresses are where I miss the old days at the Majestic. Back when the true Southern Women waited on me with their incredible depth of values and ethics of honesty and hard work. They could wait on you a few times and know your life story because they cared. If you tipped one of those ladies they appreciated it and remembered your name and who you where. When I was going through some hard times one of them asked what was wrong, then gave me a hug and a "Hang in there Hun, your too good of a man to let some ole rich $*&@* girl break your heart. A nice boy like you deserves a nice girl" You can't replace that and I miss it. The people today have gained technology and lost their heart. The Majestic is really a great diner, clean, good food and late at night when the bars empty, get in line. The location is stellar and the parking is good, next door to a Publix on one side and a strip mall on the other. It's a can't miss place with a history and excellent food. Times Change, better food, busier place but still brings back nice memories Check it out

Good diner food

We were staying in the neighborhood and were looking for a late night dinner option. The Majestic did not disappoint. Good burger. Good vegetarian quesadilla. Great service.

Landmark Diner Southern Breakfast

Atlanta Landmark - Building is from 1929. Amazing Southern Breakfast in a Diner that has been featured in many movies. Our server made excellent recommendations and was so personal! Homemade biscuits with sausage gravy was dreamy!! Bonus - we saw a local Santa & Mrs Claus.

Can't beat the 24 hours and food

By ErinSRQ |

Stayed at the Highland Inn around the corner. We made this a several trip stop. Breakfast and late night munchies (they are open 24 hours!). Huevos Rancheros are the bomb!

Best late-night grub. Better than Waffle House!

By Vanessa K |

After seeing a show in Little Five Points at the Variety Playhouse, we were starving (too much tequila and beer). We took an Uber and our driver recommended this 24-hour diner. We sat at the bar and were served in no time. I had two eggs with hash browns with cheese, onions and jalapeños. Everything was cooked perfectly. Mike got the french toast and bacon and seemed to like it (since he ate it all). The place was packed at midnight. Some of the best diner food I've ever had. Not too greasy and cooked perfectly.

Good place, Very convenient

By Kelly Johana A |

We wre there a lot of time for brunch, and each time was very good: personal service, food, beverages, clean place, everything was good

All hype if you ask me.

By Mary T |

I visited the restaurant this summer and again in Sepetember. Both times for beakfast. I had not been to the Majestic for years. So was anxious to see what had changed. The menu has changed. SOme interesting items. But the prioces are not in line of value. Disappointed.

It was ok

By Compass556507 |

It's a good place to get a quick bite. Nothing about the food made me want to come back. I would only eat here if nothing else was open.

Exactly what we were looking for

By LaLacquement |

Myself, my daughters and my boyfriend were in town for a concert. On the way out to go home, we were all starvung and trying to find a place where we didn't have to deal with an hour wait list. We'd eaten at Majestic years ago and decided to go back on this trip. The food was delicious and satisfied my picky family. My daughter is vegetarian and loved the veggie burger. My salad was fresh and loaded with generous amounts of meats. My boyfriend thought the burger was above average. Even with all the fancy options in Atlanta... Majestic never disappoints.. Always walk out full and happy.

Diner lovers must experience

By mel5960 |

My cousin and her husband were here for a visit from Sydney; her spouse wanted to experience an authentic American diner while in Atlanta.......this is the place to come; they were not disappointed. Majestic was very clean, service was attentive and the food was what is expected. Considering it is over 85 years old, the building is well taken care of and they have tried to keep things as genuine as possible.

Great little diner

By Linda D |

This is a place my daughter and her husband and friends frequent. I have heard great things and they all were true. Step into this diner and you step back into yester year! It very quaint and the food is great! Plus the service was very good and food came out fast and hot. Make sure to try the chili and the patty melt they are both great, plus the grilled cheese is a hit too!

Can't believe I've missed it all this time!

By ssbrandes |

All these years in the ATL and this was my first visit to Majestic. I'll be back! Stopped in for lunch on my daughter's moving day from her rental bungalow to her purchased condo. this was the perfect 1/2 way point between and we got a nice full meal that didn't weigh us down or slow our packing and moving progress. We ordered breakfast items which are available 24/7. She had the Greek omelette and I had the Olympic omelette -egg whites. Both were flavorful, fresh, piping hot and well portioned. Both of us opted for grits and they were delicious. My meal was rounded out with buttered marble rye toast and hers with raisin. Service was fine - our waiter a bit spacey but we got our food and didn't have to hunt him down for drink refills so we were happy. Clean and bright interior. Parking across at the theater lot if available or on the street if not.

Majestic diner

I love everything we've ordered the french toast, olympic omelette, pancakes etc. Everything tastes good. This diner is so historic, opened 1929. A must try in Atlanta. Visited October 2022

Majestic Diner

By mints2013 |

Wow! On our way out of Atlanta heading home and thought this would be a fun, iconic, visit to top our Atlanta trip. We needed to eat breakfast and thought it would be better than some chain restaurant on highway on our way home. Menu was a bit limited. Prices were high. Service was okay. Food not so much. Everything was greasy and the omlettes were overcooked. Pancakes were decent. Had to ask for water and coffee serveral times. Wait staff not that attentive for being in such close quarters. Not impressed. Thought it would be a neat expereince. Just felt ripped off after our meal and kinda sick from all the heavy grease.

Excellent Diner Food 24/7

By bigzanc |

We styaed ion the neighborhood and were drawn into the diner by its old signage (Since 1929) and clean look. The service was friendly and excellent and the food was great diner food. we werent expecting nouvelle cuisine but the omelets were tasy and nice size, hash browns excellently cooked. The milkshake was thick and delicious

First time at the Majestic!

By ps12 |

We were looking for a diner in Atlanta -- somewhere where we could get a good bowl of soup. We went to the Majestic, but this was not exactly what we were looking for. The Majestic is more for eggs and pancakes (kind of like Waffle House) than soup and full dinners. I also thought it was more expensive than it should have been given the environment and neighborhood. I had never been to this area so I was surprised at how sketchy it was. That said, there was Urban Outfitters and Buffalo Exchange on the corner so we were able to look around after dinner :)

Great For What It Is

By Tom C |

If you're looking for an all night, old style diner, this place is OK. Nothing fancy but quick and convenient. Egg, pancake and other breakfast dishes, hamburgers and milkshakes.

Retro atmosphere, decent food 24 hours a day

By Nathan C |

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at The Majestic. It is a great alternative to a chain place like Waffle House or IHOP when you are looking for some place to eat at an odd hour of the night. The food isn't nearly as cheap as a Waffle House but the service was good and although the food didn't blow me away, I would certainly come back. On a Friday or Saturday night this place can get VERY crowded though...so be aware of that.

Wonderful 50's Food and Atmosphere

By hensonh |

We liked the food, the service, the price! Reminded me of an old Soda Shoppe I used to hand out at in my teens. I loved the milkshake, and the breakfast was phenomenal - the corned beef hash patty was particularly good. We'll go back next trip!

Classic 24/7 Diner - Good Food & Excellent Service

By Thomas L |

Convenient to Virginia Highlands vicinity, I've now had breakfast there twice when visiting family. Good classic breakfast fare, and value-priced. I'll be back whenever my visit schedules permit. If you're fortunate to be waited on by Mallory (sp?), you'll be well-served.

Good diner, not cheap

By Hillary L |

Had the gyro and fries, partner had eggs ranchero. Food was very fresh and hot. Very good but not super special. We had milkshakes. Excellent service. Classic eatery in Atlanta, would recommend. Loud, busy atmosphere.

Expected a dirty, greasy diner...got a clean, greasy one!

By Andrew K |

We visited the Majestic for the first time last weekend, because we couldn't think of a place to eat and we heard that this place had everything. The menu has breakfast, lunch, and dinner all at once--not surprising for a 24 hour restaurant. We were there Saturday at about 9pm, there were about a dozen others there, and two servers. The atmosphere is typical diner...nothing fancy. What surprised us is how CLEAN the place was. We expected to be sitting on dirty seats, walking on a sticky floor, and such. The service was...meh, but the food (keep in mind that it's diner food) was good. I got the chicken and waffle, my wife had the BLT. Both reminded us of a home-cooked meal. We'll definitely go back, as long as we have some time (the service is a little slow). If you do, definitely try the milkshake!

It's greasy, it's nasty ... it's a diner !

By SecretDane |

Having to kill a little time, while my wife was getting a pedicure in the highlands, I came by the majestic diner sort of by accident and I decided to get some lunch there. The setting is about as classic a diner as it can get, textbook example, with a long bar at the open kitchen and booths around the walls. I was quickly told to just grab a seat anywhere and afterwards quickly asked for drinks. Once I got my drink, the waiter took my order as well. In general the service was very good. I ordered the majestic burger, which is a double patty cheeseburger. It was a nice burger, but nothing special about it. The burger and the fries were quite greasy, as you would expect in a diner. So to sum it up : The majestic diner is not the place for a romantic dinner or a business lunch. Instead, with it's 24/7 opening hours, this is your alternative to a Waffle House after you've been out all night at the bars and clubs in the highlands. The majestic diner is the perfect place to go get some greasy food in your stomach to help soak up the booze.

Service was great.

By mkgordin |

Service was great. Denver Omelette was good but the grits were runny and had an “off” aftertaste. Hope it was just an “off” day.

Disappointed

By perkonkrusts |

We were looking for something local, and thought this would be a good choice. It wasn't. The food was bland, and the server was spending a lot of time talking to her boyfriend. My wife's chicken was not good at all. It wasn't even cheap. Won't be back.

My wife and I saw the sign "since 1929", and decided to try the Majestic. With two 7 year olds, it appeared to be a good choice for lunch.. WRONG---with breakfast (served all day) averaging about $10, and up to $13, we started to leave, but decided that two tired children outweighed our best judgement. A cheeseburger, with fries, was $8--so we tried two of those, and two children's plates. I truly expected a diner that has been in business since 1929 to do a really great burger. Again, wrong. A thin, dry patty, cheese, and toppings made a below average burger to go with acceptable fries. The children's plates were chicken tenders and a burger----both in the average range. Save you money, and get better fast food, for breakfast--Waffle House; for burgers--find any of the fast food places.

This is a DINER!

By BrianEH32766 |

I'm giving this a 5 because it is exactly what it advertises it is. It is a diner with diner food. Nothing fancy, nothing gourmet. If you want a cheeseburger it is very good. If you want 2 eggs/toast it is very good. Very good diner food and convenient!

Classic Diner Experience

By lannyr |

This place has been doing it right for over half a century or more. Great diner breakfast. Had biscuits and gravy. The portion was two large biscuits with tasty sausage gravy. My wife had a Mexican breakfast dish with really good chorizo. Service was friendly and coffee refills plentiful.

Good, but pricey

By Carrie D. |

We stopped at the Majestic Diner for breakfast on our way to the Carter Center. We had typical diner breakfasts, eggs, biscuits and gravy, an omelette. Everything was good. It wasn't the best omelette I've ever eaten, but it was good. My cousin loved the biscuits and gravy. Our server was great. Our only complaint was that it seemed overpriced for diner food. My bill for my omelette with hash browns, toast and a soda was nearly $20, which I think was a lot.

Sunday Breakfast

The best city diner. Sit and do your crossword puzzle, eat your great breakfast and people watch! Friendly and nice wait people.

Best greasy spoon

By CBAndrewB |

We make this part of our visit to Atlanta. Service is impeccable and the place clean. I always order an omelette with grits, while my neices have chocolate chip pancakes. We always look forward to one meal here. As usual, it was great. However, if you like coffee, theirs is acidic. Also, the oj is very sweet and comes from a dispenser. Aside from that, go for it. Great food and an institution.

I totally get criticized for saying this, but for short order b'fast food, I prefer the Waffle House.

OK but definitely nothing special

By lostinatlanta |

I live about two miles from this finer so one Sunday morning the wife and I decided to give it a try. What a disappointment. Food was very average but prices were higher than your typical diner.service was fair to poor. The waitress seemed more interested in texting then anything else. If you have no other choice then ok, but in Atlanta you have so many choices, why go here?

Where's the butter?

By Lady-O_on_the_go |

I grew up in atlanta and recetly visited to attend a wedding. The Majestic was around the corner from our hotel so we had breakfast there on a Saturday morning. I had a vague memory of eating there when i was a teen from the suburbs during my diner-loving days. I had expected the place to be crowed. It wasn't. There were probably only 5 other tables of people. I'd expected the place to be a bit dirty. It wasn't. They keep old Triavial Pursuit cards in what would ordinarily hold sugar packets. I thought that was a fun touch. Prior to ordering, i asked the waitress if they had any real butter and she said they had some in the back. I'm a butter snob and don't want to eat magarine. With reassurance there was real butter available, i ordered a waffle. When the waffle arrived, i was told there was no butter. This may sound like a minor irritation but the food is on-par with the waffle house but is significantly more expensive. The decor is charming. The waitresses exude that, "i'm so hip i don't need to talk to you" attitude. The least they can do to keep themselves a step ahead of the waffle house is to have a little butter on hand.

Good breakfast place. Service was average.

I Actually Expected Much, Much More

By antoinel67 |

I know. I know that it's a diner but most diners I have frequented offer some character, history offer some way to connect to something. The Majestic only serves food and it is not so good. Service as nonexistent. It may be a great after hour place but I did not get a great meal and I paid dearly for what I got.

Bit overpriced and noisey and crowded

By melsmarsh |

Not really impressed. My husband detoured me past several better (higher rated and cheaper and better quality food) because he said he loved this place. As an Atlanta local (or former local) I know way better places. The only thing this is good for is that it’s open 24/7 so it’s where everyone goes after RHPS which plays next door.

Big portions, standard fare, neat decor

By John D |

A real diner experience for sure, large portions, we had chicken fingers which were pretty good. The okra was excellent. Service was fine. We took half our chicken home for later and put it on a salad. They were not very busy, late lunch.

Classic post-club food

Just the perfect place to go after a late night party session. A bit more expensive than a Waffle House but also has a larger menu. Get there before the after-club rush though, or you'll be waiting... Serves its purpose

Classic Diner

By Harrydawgsdad |

This is a classic diner, not a new joint trying to capture the diner vibe. I have been coming here for over 40 years and while I am sure I am biased, I still love to stop in when I can. The food is greasy and bad for you, but the service is good and I have a lot of great memories tied up in the place. Come late at night or early in the morning (depending on your perspective) and enjoy the show.

Great classic diner experience

By Innerhousewife |

Had a counter seat at this charming restaurant. Very friendly staff. Had the club sandwich/French fries. Had made a request (no tomatoes) and when my meal was brought to me, the server had forgotten but was so kind and apologetic about it, that I appreciated his level of service offering to remake the meal. (But I hate wasting food more..) Delicious meal, generous serving of FF that were perfectly cooked. Nice vibe and reasonable prices make this a place that I would return to again.

Great Diner

By Scotty H |

This is one of those places you have to visit while in the Atlanta area. It's nostalgic and just a wonderful experience. The food menu is your normal or average menu, but it's more atmosphere than anything.

Perhaps it's average food, but an Atlanta institution!

By arockefellerview |

Stability means a lot to a community, and the Majestic has been around for generations. Classic old school diner with heaping portions of comfort foods. Might not be the sophisticated food you get uptown or in "chef inspired" boutique restaurants, but you'll never go hungry, and who knows who you'll meet. Eccentrics to Famous Celebrities, sometimes both! The staff can twirl some personality too & that's often half the fun at the Majestic. Day or night...It's always open!

Classic Eatery, Lousy Food.

Totally edible depending on level of intoxication, but eating here sober is not advised. Service is pretty average and while I've enjoyed many fun meals here, none of them have been particularly tasty.

Average

By Femaletravelller |

Nothing special but the decor. The food was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. It was actually a bit smaller portions than we would expect from a diner and with how expensive it was. Imagine an Ihop/waffle house but more pricey with smaller servings.

It was ok. No need to go out of your way

By patgranada |

On my last day in Atlanta, I decided to try this place since the other place had no parking. The food was ok, and a little pricey.

24hr diner

By Jerren C |

The convenience of a 24hr place to sit and dine always wins in my book. No matter how late u stay out, you can always grab a bite to eat here at Majestic. Even though it had quite a bit of seating it was still full. We had to wait 15mins to get a table at 1am when we got there. The service was great and the food was satisfying.

haven't been there since they banned smoking, and maybe it's better, but it reeked. Greasy and smoky and open all night. At least it's authentic.

Amazing bagel sandwich!!

By tuttyfat |

I lived right behind the majestic for years, and almost every morning I ordered the egg, cheese, and bacon bagel. I have had bagels in a couple cities known for their bagels (nyc, Montreal) but somehow majestic beats them all. Absolutely delicious. I bragged to my boyfriend about how amazing they are, and he didn't believe me until he tried it. Now we never go thru Atlanta without stopping here. Their line can be crazy on the weekend nights. Best thing to do is call an order in, then you can skip the line.

Great diner, very welcoming.

By Daniel D |

We had a wonderful, late night/early morning dinner at the diner. The coffee was excellent, and my wife enjoyed a nice hot chocolate. The server was so nice, and she was on the spot whenever we needed anything. The food was super, good ol' diner comfort food that we all expect to have at a place like this. We were very comfortable there because it's not a pretentious, trendy place, but it's just a great neighborhood traditional restaurant.

Great Food. Great Service. Great Prices.

By Carla A |

This was the best food ever!! It was so much food on my plate I could barely finish! They serve breakfast and dinner at any time! I loved it!! Nice location. Great waiters, very friendly. I suggest you give this place a try!

Classic American diner

If you are looking for a classic breakfast in Atlanta's Five Points area this would be the place to go. Meals are exactly what you would expect. good eggs, good bacon, good grits. Fast, efficient and inexpensive. I don't miss it any time I am in the area.

Old Time Atmosphere with Good Food

By John R |

We stayed nearby in the Inman Park neighborhood, and walking into this diner felt like walking into the 50's. The counter had stools with seats that were only about 2 feet above the floor. The font used on the lighted signs was nostalgic. The food met our standards. We enjoy diners, and this one stepped to the top with its atmosphere, but the food did not disappoint. My wife had fish one night - one of the few places we could find that served fish that wasn't fried. It was grilled and she enjoyed it very much. The fries were large cut fries - the way I like them. (We ate there twice and both times found it very good, and reasonable.) Parking is available on the street or in the strip center across the street. Service was friendly and attentive. And best of all, they are open all night.

Great, late-late night diner joint

By Michael B |

Visiting friends in Atlanta. Walked here after a fun night out with friends. The place was bright, clean, fun and friendly. There was a good flow of people in/out, and the food was delivered quickly. The strawberry shake and cheeseburger were really good. I definitely recommend it for a late-late night snack.

When you need a greasy recovery breakast, this is your spot

By travel girl |

Not sure why you'd come here unless you stayed out too late the night before and need a big breakfast, in a place where no one is going to judge you if you are wearing a baseball hat and haven't showered. It's a diner folks...keep your expectations in check!

Don't Get Suckered in by the Curb Appeal

By Alyce H |

I went this morning and ordered blueberry pancakes. When they came out, I noticed that one particular corner was piled with a lot of blueberries. When I scraped them off, I noticed a fluorescent patch of yellow that had soaked through the pancake. No, it was not an egg. The waiter saw it too. It was about the same circumference as the salt shaker. I took a chance and sampled it. I immediately got sick. I don't know what it was, but it was NOT edible. I keep trying to figure out what to could be. Whatever it was, they tried to cover it up. That was nine hours ago and I'm on my death bed with the worst stomach ache. Also, the lady next to me stated that the hash browns were inedible. Another lady said that that the food was terrible. DON'T GO!

Everything that makes a diner great!

By Daiv S |

Been wanting a change of venue from the always fab Silver Skillet . Neighbors recommended this place and it did not disappoint ! The place has been in business almost a century but gives off a 50’s retro vibe. Lots of chrome and mid century touches like Formica tables and booths adorn the space. What struck me as odd was how clean the place looked! Normally these old diners are sketchy but this place looked well kept. Service was attentive , on point and friendly. Speed of service was fast since it was a weekday , coffee was excellent and breakfast was stellar. 3 of the 4 of us got the special with eggs, choice of meat and pancakes. Stellar pancakes , huge portions, fresh eggs and top notch hash browns. I got the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin .. a bit pricey I thought at $9.00 but totally worth it.. came with 2 sausage patties eggs and cheese. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in ages! I got a side of cheesy onion hash browns and they were right up there with Waffle House. I rarely am impressed but everyone in our party was thrilled ! These folks are doing it right! Come check them out!

An Honest To Goodness Diner

By Kristine B |

I recently developed a desire to eat at a real live all-American 24-hour diner and was delighted to find out that 1 was so close to my hotel - just around the corner. So when my flight got cancelled I decided to have pancakes at the diner because there's no time of day when pancakes aren't a great idea. I arrived just after 2 pm on a Sunday and was seated immediately. The wait staff were friendly and service was fast. My pancakes were pretty darn good - light & fluffy but still filling. I also had coffee and it wasn't bad (not the best ever but drinkable). It whiled away a nice hour over my stack with a book and was pleased with my experience when it ended. I would go back to try an all-American burger :-)

Really good food..not much parking

By readytosing12 |

My family stopped here after finishing a 5K downtown. I didnt think to take a pic of our food at the time but we had: *Veggie quesadilla with mexican rice and black beans, hamburger steak with fries and mashed potatoes, pancakes, waffle, bacon, and hashbrowns. My dad didnt care for the taste of rice but his wife was fine with it, but everything else was cooked perfectly and tasted great! I think we went right after the breakfast rush so the service seemed a little jumbled as far as who exactly was gonna be our server, but they didnt take an extremely long time to come take our orders...looking forward to visiting again soon.

Always enjoy visiting here once in a blue moon when in the area!

By Sugar Daddy in Atlanta |

So basically this place is just like a waffle house but way less stuff and relaxed is a way to I guess sum it up. Great food, friendly service and not too long of a wait typically but do keep in mind that I typically go close to midnight when I do once every year or so. Good place to pop in at for a bite to eat if hungry and not feeling the normal places open late!

Just good honest food

By Sensei2685 |

There is nothing particularly memorable about the Majestic except it's long history. My cheese omelet was fluffy, and well cooked though a little light on the actual cheese. Somehow ... probably my fault, my side of bacon found itself sliced into inch long segments and folded inside my eggs. No biggie, but I watched the bacon being cooked in mass as part of several hundred or so pieces. Orders cooked separately, and weighted would have made for a crispier, less greasy product. I was pleasantly surprised by the grits. Unlike many diners the grits were creamy, and not swimming in fake butter. All and all ... nothing exceptional, just good honest food.

The ultimate diner...

By trilobite1102 |

Today my wife and I stepped once again into the Wayback Machine and landed in the Majestic...Neither of us had been there in years and years and since it is now a 60 mile trip one-way, we had high hopes...The Majestic never fails us...My wife had the French toast with bacon and eggs and coffee...Three huge pieces of Texas toast with just the right amount of cinnamon soon arrived with bacon cooked to order and two large deep-orange yolked eggs just over-easy, all for $10.39...I ordered the Eggs Rancheros ala Majestic with chorizo sausage, served with two flour tortillas, black beans, salsa and sour cream for $9.99...My wife deemed the French toast to be excellent, and I tasted the bacon and have to say it was great!...My Eggs Rancheros was wonderful, the salsa was some of the best I have ever had and the chorizo was so good, I am calling them back to find out what kind it is...I have to have more!...Our waitress was very friendly and always there when we needed a refill on coffee...Open 24 hours, The Majestic is an institution that has never failed us...

"Food that Pleases"

By Steve R |

The sign says it all! We arrived in Atlanta at on odd time - too late for lunch - too early for dinner,,,then we saw the sign "food that pleases"...food, service & prices were very good and we'd go back a hundred times before considering a chain restaurant!

A restaurant with character

By Juan L |

I go to the Plaza Atlanta movie theater all the time. So I then eat at the Majestic Diner next door. I really enjoy the decor of the diner. It still has the design of an old fashioned diner restaurant, with a lunch counter and bright walls. The staff is always punctual. My favorite meal is their house salad. Their vegetables are always very flavorful. I ate there a couple of days ago and this time ordered some grilled grouper. That was not so successful, as the grouper tasted burnt. Still, I like coming to this restaurant.

Tasty breakfast

By Thomas M |

An Atlanta institution. The food is tasty and the server we had was suitably sassy. Service was rather quick for a Saturday morning. Vegetarian omelet was yum! Prices a little on the high side, but not a dealbreaker. I would eat here again.

The Majestic Diner is the perfect place for a greasy late night meal.

By aplemmom81 |

My husband and I were driving around after a rock show and I was starving. It seemed like the only places that were still open were fast food and kripy kreme until we saw the bright lights of the majestic diner. It was classic diner food at a great price. I had an egg sandwich with grits and enjoyed it all. Our server was incredibly nice and provided great service even though it was really busy for 1am. A perfect find after a fun night!

Dirty place, dirty staff, dirty food.

By Carolina R |

I HATE to leave bad reviews. But I will not hate leaving this one because to be completely honest, I think this just may be the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I don't know how it has an average of 3.5 stars. So we came to Majestic Diner because it was late at night and Kim R was our waitress (That's what our ticket said). We went around 12:30 and our ticket said we sat at table B-5. The place was almost packed so the waitress took a while to get to us. I get that. It happens. Then, she got us three waters. But without ice? And the water wasn't cold. And my glass had black things floating around? And then she took our orders before the table beside us who was there way before us. (Thank you, but dang.) She kept telling us our food would be out soon. And it was. It came out in a timely manner, especially considering my husband got a well done steak. He normally eats his medium rare but the place was gross so he wanted to be on the safe side. So we got our food. Worse hash browns ever. They tasted kind of raw? And bland. The steak wasn't awful. But it was definitely not a ribeye. My food was so greasy. I'm not one to complain about greasy food either. But I picked up my quesadilla and after putting it down my fingers were super sticky. That's as far as I'll go on the food. THEN we kept asking for syrup. And in the entire restaurant, they had ONE syrup container. ONE. So we waited about ten minutes to get it. And it still had other people's thumbprints. And not long after, another server asked if they could use it. They didn't wipe it before giving it to the other table. Gross. The food runner asked if we needed anything else after giving us our food. That's when I pointed out my dirty water/water glass and he didn't even wash his hands to make me a new glass. (I don't know about GA health codes, but in TN, you're supposed to wash your hands when you're switching tasks.) Also, in TN, you're not supposed to have drinks around any of the food or drink prep areas even if they have a lid and are labeled. There was a waiter's drink by the coffee machine. The drink station counters were dirty and had melting ice and water spilled all over. It just looked nasty. And the bathrooms. They had brown handprints on the walls and doors. They were dirty, too! Overall, if there's one word to describe this place, it would be dirty. I will not be back.

Classic Diner, Large Menu

By Molly2903 |

Red vinyl booths, chrome trimmed formica tables and a large counter with bar stools, the Majestic offers a classic American diner experience. Breakfast all day, lots of sides, burgers, grilled cheese and full entrees. I had french toast (3 large pieces), bacon and hash browns for ~$15. My meal came out quickly and was tasty. The bacon thin, not high grade Southern bacon. I will eat here again.

The Best Greasy Spoon since 1929!

By DrBillH |

We met a group of friends here before a show at the Plaza Theater across the street. I've eaten here about 4 or 5 times over the past 10-15 years. And it is the ultimate "greasy spoon" restaurant. It is great for a cup of coffee, breakfast, quick burger/snack, or piece of pie. The service was good, the food average, the cost cheap. But it is a fast, convenient place. It is fun to watch the "types of people" come in here. And since it is open late, who knows what might walk in to this place...so, sort of like "dinner and a show."

Bad Customer Service

By Joseph G |

First off, my family and I are actually here as I write this review, no one spoke to us when we walked in, also they have young people working talking to each other, on there phones, everything but there jobs. I have yet to see how the food taste as we are still waiting to receive it. I am not a nagging or picky person, but I love customer service as I work in the customer service field, but this place is horrible so far. I will update later about the food.

A true Atlanta institution

By Jim M |

If you are looking for diner food and a true Atlanta institution this is the place. The food is great and the service is excellent. The people watching is wonderful. Open 24 hours a day and always a great place to just watch a cross section of Atlanta. The Majestic is the kind of place that makes Atlanta, the wonderful city it is. The Majectic has been in the same locaction for 85 years and the food is very good and the servcie good. The people watching has gotten better with age.

How often can you find a place like this?

By Michael M |

Just look at the outside of this place! I went here mostly to experience this place and it was a 3-minute walk from my hotel. Inside there is a long counter with diner-type stools and booths opposite. My omelet was good but would have been equally good at many other places. What was special and unique was the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, although they weren't busy at the time.

Great breakfast, neat atmosphere

By wacntn |

We squeezed a party of 10 in on Sunday morning and took up three tables. This is a bit more run down looking on the outside than I expected but it was very, clean on the inside. It's a diner for heavens sake - not the Waldorf! I ordered the Gyro Omelet because I like Gyro's and omelets and this just sounded great! It was and it was $12. I also added hash browns and selected raisin toast. The toast was little too done but ok. I'm fine with that. The coffee was excellent - nothing fancy - just hot and good My cousin ordered the two egg breakfast with a pork chop. The chop was big and juicy and he said it was very good. My kids had has browns, scrambled eggs, waffles and french toast and they loved it all. The service was fantastic. Very attentive to us. My coffee cup was never empty at all. I've heard for the full experience the Majestic is better at night. The building is a bit art deco and looks like it might have neon from the pictures i have seen. I suspect the clientele may be a little more interesting at night too!

I love the Majestic!

This old short-order grill diner has great style and basic food of all types. It's a great place to meet a friend for a grilled cheese sandwich or breakfast literally anytime. I love grabbing a quick bite there when I'm on my own also, just really comfortable and good variety to work with many diet restrictions.

Majestic Standard: good old fashioned diner

Did the job!

By nezza28 |

Having been sinking a few beers for a number of hours along the street across the road without eating The Majestic Diner was like an Oasis for the 2 half cut, hungry Brits seeking sustenance at around 1am. We made our way in happy to see it busy and buzzing with people. Especially happy to see a table full of cops - always a good sign! I had a club sandwich and a chocolate milkshake - my compatriot pancakes and eggs with a strawberry milkshake. All went down well and was vastly appreciated! A definite late night spot to head to if looking for one in Atlanta

HORRIBLE Customer Service

By Jmflucus |

I am currently eating here, and urs 1141pm. The waiters/waitresses are literally sitting at a table talking in the middle of the restaurant. They are eating and drinking and telling patrons just sit wherever you want, as they continue to talk, eat and drink. The food is basic diner food. Nothing about the menu or presentation makes the food stand out. Only positive is the diner is 24hrs. The whole wait staff needs training or to be fired.

Quick Bite

By Cheryl M |

Awesome gem. Open 24 hours, in business since 1927. The French toast is delicious. Caramelized with just the right amount of cinnamon. Bacon, crisp yet pliable (doesn't crumble when you bite into it.)

Majestic Diner .... no so much.

By 49ll |

Majestic Diner is one of those old school diner's in Atlanta. However, it does not have old school prices. Plenty of parking, lots of booth seating. I had the chicken quesadilla. It did not come with the salsa listed to come with it. I asked about that and recieved what was more of a pico de gallo. The chicken was bland and portion sizes generous. It came with vegetables and rice and black beans which I did not eat. $14 for this and a coke ($2.25 for the coke alone). Service was okay and the restaurant appeared to be clean and quiet midday.

Eh.. It's An Okay Diner

By BugattiBoi88 |

The Majestic Diner is one of those places that you go when you have a hangover and you've worked up an appetite from drinking. I use to live in Atlanta and always passed this place but never stopped in. On my most recent trip my friends and I ended up here after a long night of partying and bar hopping. This diner is open for 24hrs so on the weekends expect to always have a wait especially around the times when most clubs and bars close. Don't come into this place with high expectations around the food because it's literally the most mediocre food that can be offered on those late night after hours. The service here was pretty good which is why they have been given a solid 3 stars. Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive. My late night dinner/early morning breakfast selection was called the "Pone Picnic" which consisted of a deluxe cheeseburger and a hot dog. Reminded me of one of those $5 boxes from Dairy Queen lol. I ate less than half of the meal before I figured this was eventually going to kill my stomach. My friends somewhat enjoyed their dishes so you can say it was a tad bit of a successful meal.. Will I ever be back? Well the jury is still out on that...

How do I love thee, let me count the ways...

Ah, yes. The Majestic. I love the chili. It could be 100 degrees in July and I would drive out of my way to have a bowl. I'm not sure they have other food, though it could be possible. The staff is excellent, the food is excellent, the price is right in line. It doesn't hurt that we can stroll over to Urban Outfitters after dinner.

A good dinner in Atlanta

Great pancakes, french toast and milkshakes, not so great hash browns (from a can). Fun to go either way!

Good Enough

So this is your basic breakfast diner. Clean with good service and a retro style, the ingredients are all there. What was lacking was the food. First, no fruit, Seriously. I know this is Dixie and grits rule, but fruit with breakfast does not seem to be too much to ask. The omelet was a bit greasy, and the toast cold. I don't expect fine dining, and don't even want it, but warm toast is not a high order. Go, but don't expect

It's ancient but still going strong

This used to be a hangout for pimps and drug dealers. Now it's quite respectable. So it goes. The food is like 1950s Atlanta diner food. The coffee is - acceptable. You have to have grits with your breakfast; it's in the rules.

Great hangover food.

Although we weren't hungover, the food was made for it. "Comfort" food is an understatement. Traditional breakfast fare done very well.

great breakfast

Had breakfast there and it was very good. The omelets were cooked to perfection and big. I had the ham and cheese omelet and my daughter had the veggie omelet with fresh spinach and both were tasty. The coffee was hot and the grits creamy. I would give this place a 5 but it was early in the morning and the restaurant was very cold.

24 hour love!

My wife and I came to eat here at about 1am after a long day at work, so glad they're open 24 hours. We've been coming here for years and while the prices have gone up, to me it's still one of the coolest places to chill and have a great meal. I usually eat from the breakfast menu and have my eggs over medium with the ham, grits and toast, which is always perfect, but tonight I decided to go with something I hadn't tried before. I had the Santa Fe burger which is a quarter pounder burger topped with chili, cheese, jalapenos, onions, lettuce, tomato and a creamy spicy mayo sauce, absolutely delicious. It comes with fries normally but I'm not a big French fries eater so they'll let you substitute something else, so I got fried okra instead, which was fried perfectly and the okra was fresh and tasted excellent. My wife got the grilled cheese and chili, and while the grilled cheese is good, the chili is phenomenal, nice and thick with onions and cheese on top, very fulfilling. You get alot of food for the money so that's a plus. Service is fast and friendly and I look forward to coming back many more times. The atmosphere is so neat as it reminds me of an old diner from the 50's, very cool. Highly recommend.

It was pretty good

We went and ate at this diner following a concert. I will say I love diners and always try to find the best ones when we travel. This place did not meet my expectations. The service was pretty good, the prices were ok, but overall just not what I expected. We ordered pancakes that were rather dry even drenched in syrup, waffles were dry as well, and I ordered chicken to go with my waffles that were average. The food was brought out rather fast, parking was good, and the place was easy to find. So I say give it a try as the menu is rather extensive and maybe we just did not get the best options!
