historical reflection

By AWil2014 |

This is a historic site that was used for movies primarily during the 1930-1960s. It was interesting to me that Black people could not buy tickets at the main entrance which is a beautiful designed area with intricate designs. Blacks also where not allowed on the main floor which was the only level where you could see the beautiful ceiling. They were only allowed in the balconies but the seats were still good because of the layout of the theatre. Change has come for this theatre and this city, very classy place

Wonderful Experience at the Majestic

By Christian C |

This theater is a wonderful vintage-style venue with plush velour chairs. We enjoyed watching the David Sanborn, Marcus Miller and Bob James show recently and had a great time. On our next visit, we will probably try to get seats further down to the center or on the upper levels.

Neat downtown theater – there’s the neatest hidden balcony to the outside – find it at intermission!

Not really a restaurant...

Not really a restaurant per say but a really great place to see a show in Dallas. Cool place built in the 20's and still has a real Vaudville feel to it..

The Majestic is beautifully majestic!!

Recently saw Home Free at The Majestic in Dallas and it was wonderful!! The building is just beautiful!! All seats in the auditorium are good seats - No bad seats here! Just going to see the inside of the building’s architecture and decor is worth the trip!!

Saw a great concert - Christmas time!! Great architecture and fun place to visit. There are all kinds of different shows there throughout the year. Fun to visit a historic Dallas venue that brings back lots of memories!!

Classic Rock at the Majestic

We spent the evening at the Majestic watching the Edgar Winter Band and George Thorogood. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the sound quality exceptional. It was really fun to see a couple of classic rock groups in this beautiful venue - we had a great night there!

Angelah Johnson

Watched Angelah Johnson here with my daughter and loved it. The theatre is beautiful! It's an older theater and like most older ones there is no leg room.

Wonderful old theater

The Majestic is a fairly small venue and attracts some great shows. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. Last time we were there the balcony was closed, but we had seats on the main floor. Not sure why the balcony is closed, cuts the amount of seating way down.

This is a lovely venue!

I have never been to the Majestic before, and I already have tickets to another show next month. This seems to be a lovingly cared for facility, there is even a tiny chandelier in the elevator. We took a minute to find an usher but all staff we ran in to were polite and helpful. I'm a big gal and my knees were at the back of the seat in front of me but the seats were comfortable and the view and sound were fine from the balcony. The show was great (Hall and Oates), I am sad only that I haven't visited this lovely theater before. So happy that there are more shows offered these days.

Beautiful old theater

Very pretty building and well kept. The seats are comfortable. They get you in the door pretty quickly for events. You can see the stage pretty well from any seat since it’s not that large of a venue.

Excellent Venue

Took hubby to Alton Brown at the Majestic. Parking easy to find. Waiting outside to enter was delightful, as beautiful Dallas sparkled in the night. Venue had an old world char and seats were very nice.

The Decemberists at The Majestic

Great concert in a great venue. Both the history and the architecture of The Majestic made the concert even more enjoyable.

Great show!

Excellent production, and a good crowd. A little bit on the pricey side, though. This city supports the arts!

Get a feel of Broadway ambiance right in the heart of Downtown Dallas!

One of my first memories here was watching a show with Jack Klugman in it. I brought my boss with me to the theatre and right behind us sat the one and only JOAN COLLINS!! She was gorgeous as ever... dolled up like Hollywood Royalty - picture perfect. She was so gracious and fit perfectly within the lavish decor of this gorgeous theatre. A true gem of gems. Go see anything you can here and get a taste of Dallas heritage. You can feel the nostalgia as soon as you walk in the door.

Mesmerizing Majestic

By JoyfulEddy |

This theater is so beautiful. The decor is just magical with three levels to view the stage. Each level has its own bar and restrooms and abundant seating. Don't hesitate to sit in the top level balcony, you can see the stage very well. We recently saw the 2017 Wild Honey Tour of the Beach Boys here and it was fabulous in this beautiful setting.

ONE POSITIVE WORD FOR THE SERIOUS AUDIOPHILE - "ACOUSTICS!"

By Rudy "V" |

I was on the air in radio in Dallas for 14 years (KRnB and KSOUL - The Quiet Storm), and the acoustics in this gorgeous "house" is exemplary to say the least. I've hosted numerous shows at this venue, and it STILL is my all time favorite in ALL of the DFW for that 91) reason - the acoustics! The Majestic is just that, MAJESTIC! No words can descriptively give it it's just due. You have to simply experience this time honored concert hall. The refurbishing is extraordinary. Plenty of bars to order your favorite adult libation. Aisle attendants are very pleasant and the seating is good from all over the house.

Deserving of its name.

This theater is absolutely stunning! Great acoustics, comfortable seats, and grandeur rarely found anymore. Superb experience!

Great theater, sketchy food!

By LLHB |

So I have to say this theater is very neat. The staff were all very helpful and nice except one. When we asked if she could help us find our seats she said she didn't think she could. So I'm assuming they shouldn't have her as an usher! I also bought a bag if potato chips that had the expiration date blacked out with a sharpie! I actually giggled at this! I did enjoy the Majestic and will return, but will skip the potato chips!

Beautiful Theatre

Just saw Ron White at the Majestic. We have been this the Majestic many times for many shows and it is a beautiful theatre and there really aren't any bad seats.
