In a neighborhood that has a lot of good restaurants, this restaurant serves generous portions of the best Italian-American food in town. They offer fresh flatbreads with delicious tapenade free. Pasta dishes can be quite reasonable, and some of the simplest ones are as good as you will find anywhere. I'm jealous because I like to cook but can't surpass what they do on some of their dishes here. The owner is a gracious host. It may be a little out of the way for a tourist, but it may be worth finding this Court Street gem. They are closed on Tuesday.

Best food ever, so many of our friends told us how good it was.And seeing the place in action I can believe it.

My family dined here after seeing it is one of the few surviving restaurants featured on Kitchen Nightmares. While the service was great the food was mediocre at best. My lasagna was bland, my daughters' chicken parmigiana was ordinary. The fried calamari was fishy. We won't return.

The Garlic nots were very delicious and the mozzarella sticks were very tasty. And my entree was very amazing the best ravioli I have ever had thanks for making my experience here amazing. You guys are the best at cooking Italian food.

This is our second visit to this amazing place. .. The first visit was amazing great food. .great conversation with amazing people. ...we wwere so impressed we thought we would try it again. ...evev better the second time. .. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. ..

What a find. This lovely restaurant has Wonderful home-style Italian food. A very large menu and such reasonable prices. 2 lovely fireplaces for cozy winter dining. Great wait staff and gracious owner. Worth a trip out of Manhattan (where I live). have been quite a few times and have never been disappointed.

Just wondering... is Lori still working there?.... she is all what the restaurant needs.. what an amazing appearance... for that the food may be just a little bit kess 🤔😉👊🏻

I'm from Paris, and making a trip to New York, I went to this restaurant with my wife and my sister in April 2014 after seeing the tétévision in "kitchen nightmare", I met John the owner and talk to him Italian, I am myself, very cool! We had a great meal for cheap. The decor is what Gordon Ramsey had left. I returned in April 2015 with my nephews, and equally well received!

Really delicious Italian food! The pizza was amazing! Great location and adorable restaurant. Gelato was delicious too!

I had Chicken Angela It was generally good but not exceptional. The veg was very undercooked bread was stale and cold and the chicken portion was small even for a lunch portion. I will try again.

Would not come back. Main courses were decent, appetizers below average. Waitstaff could be better trained

My girlfriend and I visited after seeing it on Kitchen Nightmares, however the food and decor is exactly how Gordon Ramsay left it, and it amazing. I had the Gnocchi which was incredible, while my girlfriend had the pizza, which was a touch greasy but delicious all the same. Staff were very friendly, and overall I would recommend if in Brooklyn
