This is one of my favoriteThai restaurants in the neighborhood. Food is good especially the papaya salad. Service is slow because there are only three wait staff and when they're busy, one has to wait awhile to order or get their food. Lately, the serving portions are getting smaller and quality not the same. The couple of dishes we ordered recently have too much sugar. It's a disappointment!

This restaurant is not in downtown Houston, but in a strip center in the NW suburbs. I don't think the picture is accurate. Four of us went to dinner on a recent Thursday evening. We arrived about 6:30 and dining area was half full, but did fill up. They came by twice to take our order, but we hadn't seen each other in a while, so were talking instead of looking at the menu. They understood and didn't bother us. When we did order, service was very good. We ordered four appetizers and four entrees and everyone was pleased with their choices. I always judge a Thai place by their Chicken Panang Curry and it was very good. My only slightly negative comment, and this is being picky, is that the carrots were cut too small. One orders spiciness on a scale of 1-5. I'm a wimp so 1 was very tasty with some spice to it. Pad Thai was a friend's bar to pass and she it more than met her expectations. Others who like their food quite spicy ordered a 3 (one was a shrimp dish and other a fish ?maybe sea bass) and were also pleased. The waitress was very accommodating as we had two bottles of wine and she split that up 4 ways for our separate checks. Leftovers were delicious two days later. I will return.

We had the Pad ke mao, yum beef salad (can't remember the name), fried tofu, and fried spring rolls. We came in about 330 on a Saturday and the place was still a little bisy. Always a good sign. We loved EVERYTHING! The service and food were exceptional and the place itself was relaxing and clean. We will definitely be back!

Food can be spicy which is good. I can walk to Mango Tree from my house. One of the top restaurants in my area. Highly recommend.

After becoming stuck in horrendous traffic, we pulled off the highway to have a look around. We found Mango Tree and decided to give it a try. Started with "Fish Cakes" then, I ordered the "Mango Tree Volcano". The spice score runs from 1 to 5. I ordered a "3", since I was unfamiliar with this restaurant. I could have ordered 4 or 5. The wait staff was friendly and provided us with the "Hot Sauce Tray". My wife had Fried Shrimp with a heat rating of 1. She used the hot sauce also. Food quality was very good. Mango Tree could compete with any West Coast Thai restaurant! The Thai Ice Tea was great, too. Nice people, good food, unpretentious. Try it!

One of your employees turned off your open sign, turned the other signed to close, and locked the door 15 minutes before closing. I wanted to order a soup and take it to go for my sister that was in the emergency room. I was shocked at this because I love and frequented this establishment many times, but this was out of line.

Visited for the first time for lunch. Big crowd and fairly busy. Slow to take any kind of drink order, over an hour wait for food which was from the lunch menu. Was there almost 2 hours from beginning to end and the food was just OK. I'm not exactly sure who has two hours to sit for lunch but I don't. Plenty of places close by that have better service and better food.

Alway has great food and service We alway make the drive to eat here and have brought many friends here to experience this food. Location is NW side of town, near 249 and Grant road area - not downtown as listed in the description. I alway get a curry dish or a dish called the swimming angel. We also sometimes order the soup that is made of coconut milk, mushroom, lemon grass and chicken. It might be the Tom Kha Gai, but I don't remember ever having tomatoes in the soup. A place for a nice relaxing meal, quiet

We have frequented this restaurant many times and tonight was the first time we've dined there in 2020. We ordered the Pad See Ewe with chicken and the Ka Pao Basil with sliced beef. Both were perfectly delicious. These are typical Thai dishes that we eat at many different restaurants and today they made it perfectly. My husband cleaned up his plate! Their portions are large so I brought home more than half of my Pad See Ewe noodles. Their Thai Iced Tea is also well made. Not overly sweet as found in other places that we frequent. Of course we will be back. We love going with larger groups because we like to order lots of dishes!

Thai food is my favorite food on the planet so I eat a lot of Thai. This is one of the best places not just in the area but all around. Thai food can be finicky to make but I am never disappointed here. My favorites are the Pad Kee Mao, spicy cheese rolls, glass noodle soup, sizzling shrimp, and the Mango Tree Volcano

This is absolutely one of the best Thai food restaurants in the city. I am so happy that there is such a great place to have Thai food and it is close to where I live. I travel a lot and have had Thai at many places....this is one of the best places I have been too. I will continue to go here....I've never had a bad meal here.

Recently visited for a work outing. Food was very good, had a sliding scale of hotness that you could order. Only issue was the service. They had like two waitresses working that day and the place was packed with big parties. Not sure if they were staffed appropriately for typical lunch or not but they were in the weeds. Drinks didn't get filled up which is an absolute NO NO at a spicy food place. We asked for the check and then finally had to go to the register to get paid and on our way. Will be trying it again.

I came here for lunch with co-workers in between sessions while attending a working group in Houston. While we did have to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated the food was excellent. My co-workers had the Pad Thai with chicken, I have the drunken noodles and my colleague also did. Usually when we go out I order extra spicy and he orders it medium and typically the servers will mix up the orders and give him the extra spicy, this did NOT happen. The food and the staff were excellent. They turned their tables quickly and after we were seated the food also came fairly quickly. We would definitely go back here again.

I arrived for weekday lunch at 11:45am and found the dining room almost full. The staff were barely able to keep up with seating, ordering, serving, and busing the tables. Eventually I was able to place my order, and some time later received an excellent soup and salad. I was well finished with these and waiting before my entree arrived. The stir fry dish was was unremarkable in quality. I suggest that if you give them a try, do it outside of peak times.

This restaurant is in a little shopping strip. I was the only one in the restaurant except all the people picking food up. The food is amazing. The flavor and spice.

Mango tree is hidden in a strip mall, but the Thai food is delicious. I frequently order from the reataurant and the staff members are very friendly. If you like Thai food please give them a try.

Ate lunch here with a colleague yesterday. I had the green curry and it came with soup salad and a spring roll. Great taste and good amount of curry. I ordered extra rice to go and made another meal out if it.

We love coming here for authentic Thai food. Pick your spice level on any menu item. The Thai tea is awesome. Save room for the rice and mango dessert. Their To go is fast!

My wife and I come here frequently and the food is great and very genuine Thai. I have tried and loved all the curries, my favorite are the green and yellow. We always have the Chicken Sate which is like we remembered from Thailand. The peanut sauce is great but the other sweet/sour sauce they serve with it is fantastic. The jasmine rice is delicious and traditional Thai (on the sticky side). Have never had a bad meal there and the staff are always great.

When it gets cold and rainy and we're craving comfort food, Mango Tree Thai Bistro has the answer. We love their Tom Kha Gai (coconut milk) soup. Wonderfully warm and soothing. For an entree, we like the Thai Cashew Nut dish (with no pineapple and extra cashews). We don't get it 'Thai hot', just regular hot. The rice pudding with mango is a good dessert too. The wait staff is very nice and their food is pretty authentic. The owners are Thai.

This place is not about the decor, or the service, or the wine list, or the ambiance, or the location: it's just really good Thai food! I grew up in Thailand as a teenager; I know what I'm talking about.

This place is hard to find, but pretty decent food. We have been eating here since they opened and always found it to be good - nothing spectacular, but we're in the part of Houston that is all about fast food, drive through and chain restaurants. A place like this could be great. On the last couple of visits the food has not been up to its usual so I wonder if they have a new owner/cook. It's better than Pei Wei, or was, so I hope they fix whatever is going wrong lately. Service staff is eager to please and the place is clean, minimalist.

This has been our go to place for Thai for YEARS. We do a combination of dine in and take out and they're always consistently awesome. The staff is very friendly and always glad to see you. During the COVID-19 quarantine, it's great to see them holding on through continued take out business and we are looking forward to a dine in experience again soon. It's a must try!

Food was good but would not accept a VALID Resturant.com voucher to their own restaurant. Disappointing with service and integrity.

We really like this place. My wife does not like hot yet she gets a combo fried rise fish that she loves. I've tried just about all the hot dishes and have never been disappointed. They offer at least 4 levels of heat. I've had all, including 'Thai Hot'. Be very sure you want very spicy before ordering 'Thai Hot". Selection is adequate, service good, prices reasonable. .

It's hard to find a really good Thai restaurant in the Cypress area, but we are happy to say that this is one of them! The Pad Thai and the Green Curry were both really delicious. The place was clean and service was good. We will definitely come back and try some of the other dishes!

We go here every Friday now and are never disappointed. Prices are right and the service is really good.

Some of the best Thai food in Houston. Have been many times, but not recently, so took a trip back last week. I had Tom Kha Gai (coconut soup) and hubby a Chinese style Sweet and Sour. Both were excellent. I tried a curry this time (green with shrimp heat level 2) rather than my usual soft shelled crab and husband had his usual fired chicken sweet and sour (heat 4). Stellar, fresh made foods. The restaurant was quiet when we first arrived, but the level of activity increased on a mid-week night the longer we were there. It did not affect the servers!.

Have had lunch here many times and always with many good choices of soups and foods to eat. Very clean and service is excellent and accommodating.

I had never had Thai food and was a little nervous but I wanted to try something new. I was pleasantly surprised, the staff was nice and the food was A-Mazing! My husband and I will definitely be back.

Love the green curry & the Pad Se Eu noodles (spelling???) I get to go orders about once a month. If tried the other curry's but green is my fav.

We have been coming here for at least 4 years now, we have tried all the Thai places around Cypress and this is our go to place for good Thai. The food is always good, and they get the spice level right. My favorite dishes would have to be the Tom Kha Gai (Coconut lemongrass soup) and the Pad See Ew, I always ask for extra egg in the Pad See Ew, love those two dishes. Be prepared to take some home though.

Ordered spring rolls and shrimp tempura and both very good. Then got orange chicken with spice level of three. Could have been more spicy but was constant and fresh veggies.

Even take out is wonderful. It is the best and freshest Thai in the willowbrook champions area. The Ginger is fresh, basil is fresh. That is one of the things I love about Thai Food is the use of so many herbs and seasonings. And the fresher the better!

The Tom Yum soup was delicious. Great for a cold. #2 spicy was just right. Also, had the Spicy Crab Rolls. Very good. I'll be back.

We had the tom yum soup, beef laab and spicy chicken ginger and it was great. Service was a bit slow but otherwise good. Will definitely go back!!

I travelled a long way to this restaurant and was very disappointed when my favorite dessert, mango and sweet coconut cream rice was not feature. Reason it is out of season. Really. The curry chicken was really tasty.

The food here is very good, but they need to keep the place a little cleaner. I've been there for lunch several times and half the tables were still dirty from the lunch rush plus the table itself had a smell. I have stopped going for this reason.

We came across this place after looking for a restaurant close by on trip advisor. Decor is very plain nothing fancy. We dined at 6pm, service was very, very slow only two servers and the restaurant was very busy. Lots of tables waiting on food, one couple got up and left. Drink refills were pretty none existent. The food was so good, I took the fresh vegetable rolls, fried vegetable spring rolls and then the pineapple fried rice. I had level 3 spice, I like my food pretty spicy and I do think 3 was very spicy for a medium of the scale!! I would return again as the food was very good, just hope that they get extra servers in the future!

I have lost count of my visit at this restaurant. I was first introduced by my brother who is also a great fan of this place. First I am thinking in my mind that being a small neighborhood Thai restaurant, how good can it be??? My order was chicken fried rice and Tom Yum soup. I swear the food was super delicious!!! I used #5 spicy on both dishes. I loved the soup and now it is one of my favorite dish. Not to mention my favorite neighborhood restaurant as well. If you haven't tried it yet, I suggest try it out at least one time. The price is reasonable. You can order to go. They have lunch specials as well... I hope you find this review helpful!!!

We happened across this place in downtown Houston. Delicious food!! The lunch special comes with a small salad, really yummy soup, and a spring roll. Be aware, if you order spicy, its pretty hot. You can order spicy from 1-5, with 5 the hottest. I ordered 3, and it was pretty warm. Lips burning, nose running, a few tears. But still really good. So my lesson is, start with less. You can always add more!!

Had the chicken pineapple cashew with white rice. The food is always good here. Worth the small wait. Food is hot and spicy 🌶. I’ve been coming to this place for years. Great neighborhood Thai stop. Place is always packed lunch and dinner.

Arrived at noon to packed restaurant. Waitstaff friendly and efficient. Lunch menu items $8-$9. You get soup, salad, egg roll, rice and entree. Ice tea and thai tea reasonably priced at $1.50 and $2.50. Be careful ordering spice level. Masaman curry super hot at our usual medium level. Waitress was kind enough to change it at no charge to lower spiciness. Beef steak salad was excellent at medium level, next time I will get it stepped down 1 level. Mango ice cream was wonderful. $24 for two b4 tip. We will be back.
Some of the best Thai food in town.
I've eaten here dozens of times, bringing coworkers & friends whenever I can. Everyone loves it. It can get a little busy during lunch but I see that as a sign of a great restaurant. I recommend any of the curry options. Highlights 1. Every dish I've tried has been great. 2. Not that crowded for dinner. 3. Very reasonably priced. If you like Thai food and are in NW Houston, this is where to go.
