Manna came to the Inner Sunset not long ago and it's already a winner. The restaurant is a truly family business run by a husband and wife that put all the attention on the service and the quality of the food. The Bibimbap is amazing and big enough to share. The Kal Bi ribs are also very tasty and cook a delicious sauce.

We were at golden gate park and walked to this recommended restaurant . We were told it's always very busy. The food was just average Korean food. Service was nice.. side dishes ok .

Stumbled upon on a visit to SF Golden Gate Park. A very nice surprise. Good, but beware spicy, food. Good and attentive service. Reasonably priced. The Bibimbap, both beef and seafood, were excellent, and plenty of it (I am a big guy). The kids coudln't finish their dishes, so we packed it in boxes (self service :) and had the day after. All in all I would highly recommend it.

We liked the food , the beef BBQ is recommended. No reservation needed just walk in, evenings are busy. The costing for two is about $30

Visited Manna last weekend and was pleasantly surprised --- good Korean restaurant; reasonably priced; excellent service. I ordered three items (pork, chicken, and noodles) and the meal came with a variety of small dishes to start.... Small dishes: (1) kim chee --- nice, nothing special; (2) spicy fish cake --- good; (3) julienne potatoes --- exceptional; (4) black beans; (5) broccoli; and, (6) bean sprouts (the latter three were average). For the main courses, the chicken was decent (would reorder), but the pork had a hint of tobasco sauce (which I personally do not like), and the noodles were a bit sweeter then I like. So all in all....I will revisit to see if I can get a dish just of the potatoes and will reorder the chicken. OTHER FACTORS: Parking: not to far from the parking lot (otherwise it is difficult to park at 10th and Irving) Ambience: nothing special Service: outstanding Prices: cheap

We really enjoyed our dinner at Mana for Valentine's Day. Attentive service, delicious food, and lovely and quaint setting just a few blocks from Golden Gate Park. Get the Scallion Pancake, it's unreal!

We are always in search of neighborhood gems and decided to try this Korean restaurant. Perfect location - right on the busy Irving street a block off from Golden Gate Park. It's a small mom and pop operation but good food ! We also chose to come in after the lunch craze time and got seated right away. The banchan which are the side dishes was just right- then we each ordered our own dish - I had the kal bi which was a just right dish and the stone pot. Comparing it to other Korean places the stone pot had lesser meat and more veggies . Depends if you like your protein or Vegs. But be careful - we thought we could order from the much more affordable lunch menu but NOT and NEVER on the weekends ! Which meant our bill doubled in price ! Will have to come Back on a non weekend day to enjoy the lunch menu.

I had a very nice bibimbap, very savory. The service was great: quick, efficient and nice. Everyone around seemed to be having a great time too and everything looked as good as my bibimbap. Being alone I almost regretted not being able to order different things to taste. :) The kimchi though was not as spicy as I'm used to... Still good but I like it a tiny bit spicier.

A convenient location for the inner sunset area, close to GG Park. The food is average +, reasonable price though. However, their side dishes didn't have variety. The portion was small, three bits. Can you ask for more??? Now they set up the outside setting for people after Covid 19. One thing not happy about this place - they rather have a small (2-3)group. Not for a big group (family) or single person. Felt not welcomed by just dining alone. Certain foods took longer to prepare. Ordering popular items will be the better choice! My pollock fish soup took more than 20 minutes to serve Maybe their family kitchen needs more help?? In sum, I would rather try other Korean restaurants in SF instead. : [

Living in a small town on the east cost, we don't get Korean food often, so while in town visiting family, we knew we wanted to find some. After touring the Japanese Tea Gardens, we found Manna was in walking distance and had a lunch menu. Our relatively large party of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids) was seated immediately because it was early. The restaurant is small, so later parties waited. The adults were immediately served warm barley tea (great on a chilly day!) and the kids got water. We were shocked at the prices, not only on the lunch menu but also for dinner entrees. Literally half what you'd expect to pay elsewhere. I worried that maybe the portions would reflect the prices. Banchan dishes came out first. The kimchi was perfect...a little sour but not totally fermented. In our party, we ordered dol sot bimimbap, bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, beef fried rice, and vegetable fried rice. All came out quickly and served hot. The kids loved their fried rice dishes. Portions were ample...we took home leftovers. All in all, this was a great stop. Tasty food, good service.

We went in with high expectations but found the food poor. Hardly any veggie options and the only food we had came with burnt rice.

While driving in San Francisco found this quaint restaurant that was crowded with patrons, always a good sign. By the time we parked and returned, 2 seats were available so we did not have a wait, We ordered wings and kimchi fried rice. Wings had a wonderful crispy batter and the kimchi fried rice was yummy. Next trip to San Francisco, this is a must visit for Korean food.

Fantastic food. Fantastic !!! The best is Kal bi - juicy tender BBQ beef short ribs. I think that I figured out why there is no more five stars. They do not take reservations and reviewers not want to create competition in the long line of people waiting for a table.

We had dinner here while staying nearby and noticing the long line each and every day. We figured it had to be good and it was! The japchae and bibimbop were amazing, as was everything we tried. We honestly wish we were staying in SF longer so we could eat there a second time. It is crowded and the tables are close together and it has a diner kind of a feel so it wouldn't necessarily be an intimate or romantic restaurant, but the food is excellent and the prices cannot be beat. Service was just adequate, but we didn't mind since the food was so good.

A nice neighborhood Korean place in the Inner Sunset. Went for lunch and found the food to be well worth the money. The space is cramped and a bit of a hole in the wall. But the service was efficient and nice. Would definitely come back.

We were a group of 4 for Saturday lunch. We expected to wait in line. We arrived around 1 pm. After writing our name on the list, we waited for about 20 minutes. It was worth the wait. The food is authentic and good quality Korean food. It's in a cozy neighborhood with other restaurants if you don't want to wait. However, the family run restaurant serves great food that is popular with young adults and families alike. Expect to wait and enjoy the food!

Stopped by for dinner and it was already crowded, able to snag the last table for 2 people and these tables are close together, ie: approx 8 inches apart from the next table! Menu is on the table, under the glass top. Server came quickly with glass of water, and was able to take our order shortly. Ban chae came quickly with our order shortly thereafter. Seafood pancake is full of tasty ingredients but it was gritty in texture. Japchae was tasty and always delicious. The seafood tofu soup was spicy, for medium spice and tasty. Still leftovers to take home. Wished the server would walk around and fill our water glasses more frequently, instead of trying to wave and whistle to catch their attention. This restaurant gets a lot of patrons, so come early or put your name on the list and wait. Prices are reasonable.

Super small restaurant, make sure you're ready to wait a bit for a table if you arrive during popular dinner hours. Loved the spare ribs. They also bring little tasters while you wait of greens, potato, and kimchi!

Went with co-workers after work. A walking distance from where we work. The wait was long for we where 5 of us. But when we sat down and the food started to pour. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. We ordered 8 dishes to share so we had a varieties. The bibimbap and pancakes was so good. Plus within the 5 of us we only paid $20 each with tip. A great place to eat Korean food. They are popular so there can be a wait. Come maybe in 2 's or 3's for it is a small restaurant.

I desperately craved bibimbap and was led here. I was a little let down. It wasn't the best bibimbap I've had, my dad could not even finish his. Also the kimchi and other starters weren't that tasty, worse than others I've had. I'd recommend stopping somewhere else unless you're in the immediate area.

We had dinner at Manna with friends. We arrived pretty early and the relatively small dining room was not full yet. The place is very popular in the Inner Sunset so you have to be prepared to wait a little bit. The service is friendly and efficient. We had the chicken barbecue, a soft tofu soup, a kimchi soup and a kimchi pancake. Everything was excellent. This place never disappoints and I warmly recommend it.

Had dinner here last night. Went early so we did not have to wait long. There food is very reasonably priced but possibly because they do not use the best of ingredients. Had the BBQ Short Ribs and they were gristly. Maybe I don't like Korean food but I did not really care for my dinner. I also had to ask a few times for more water until they finally brought out a flask of water for our table. Maybe if you like Korean food, this would be worth it, but I did not care for it.

I went for bulgogi and it was a tasty generous portion. Small dishes weren’t as plentiful as other Korean restaurants I’ve visited. Pleasant efficient service. Would go back if I were in the neighborhood.

We stopped here for an early dinner because we haven't been back here in a while. The place is so small that you really have to come early for dinner (senior citizen dining hour). It has also gotten popular and by 6 PM, there is easily a wait outside the door as they don't take reservations. One family picked up their take out and proceeded to eat their dinner with 2 young daughters in their car. During this visit, we ordered the yam noodles with beef. The noodles were a tad overdone but the dish was good. I like their soft tofu soup (the mild is still spicy) but decided to try the seafood tofu one. It was good, with small clams, oysters (no shrimp), but next time, I'll stick with the plain one. The fried chicken wings were good but had a more vinegary taste to it. It's not as good as the ones at San Tung but it's not as goopy with less of that molasses-like coating that San Tung serves. We couldn't finish the wings and ended up taking it home. It's a good Korean restaurant for this Inner Sunset area. Most dishes are about $10 each and usually comes with rice and came with 5 small dishes of appetizers.

This tiny Korean restaurant fills up very quickly and they’re busy for a good reason. It’s very affordable compared to other Korean restaurant and the portion is perfect. It’s owned by Korean family so the food is pretty authentic. Highly recommended 👍🏼

friends from out of town came for a visit. brought them to this restaurant. friends comment that it's a small restaurant and yet we have wait. my friends were surprised of the foods when it arrived. it was not only really hot but also savory and tasty. we ordered dolsot in stone pot, bulgogi, kimchi rice, and beer. servers are very attentive. price is fair , good for the budget. recommended.

Very long waiting list, extremely popular and crowded. Unfortunately we found the food not much to our taste. But we understand that it is a very good place for those who do like Korean food.

I absolutely loved the food here. The service was quick and great. Ten out of ten. Would definitely return. The kimchi fried rice was perfect. The Dae Ji Bul Kogi was also great. My only complaint would have to be asking for water. We were served hot water when we entered. Which was actually ok, because it was a chilly night.

We were lucky to arrive early for lunch and got the last table. By noon, there was a line outside. There were parties of 4 accomodated. Nice homemade tasting banchan (kimchi, crisp brined broccoli and bean sprouts etc). We were quickly served with glasses of what I think was hot boricha (barley tea) which works well in the cool, foggy SF climate. My husband ordered the Bibimap which came sizzling hot and Hite (rice) beer. My beef bbq was delicious and cooled more quickly than his (which remained very hot). Prices are reasonable; location close to Golden Gate Park is good in an area where parking (2 hours) is ok.

I came for dinner to Manna last night, this was my 2nd meal here. I also came in February which was the last time I've been in SF. Located at the corner of 9th and Irving, the restaurant is all glass on the outside. You open the door and there's a pad to put your name on the list to wait to be seated. Manna is small, the tables are close together but not cramped. When you walk in the aroma from the food already served greets you and my mouth begins to water. I love spicy Korean food! After sitting, tea and Korean savories are served. These are so delicious they could be a meal in themselves-kimchi, pickled broccoli, flavored fish among them. Last night we ordered the spicy pork, the ramen and the kimchi soup. Each was so delicious, wonderfully flavored, bold but not overwhelming. The portions are generous and comfortably fill you up. The staff are friendly and they know their food. And they'll go out of their way to accommodate your specific request. There's a lunch menu and also one for dinner; the pricesb are totally reasonable. Both times I left feeling wow, what an amazing meal.

Make sure you come early (before 17:30), as they don’t take reservations. Of the dishes we had, the Korean pancake, fried dumplings and Bul Kogi were our favorites.

For lovers of Korean cuisine this is a place to visit in San Francisco. Easy to choose menu, flavorful food made with touch and very friendly staff of this cozy restaurant. Nice atmosphere inside for any occasions.

This is your proverbial hole in a wall restaurant, very tiny and crowded but the food is very good. I specially liked the Dolsot Bibimbob which is beef and veggies over sizzling rice with an egg on top. The dish is served in a sizzling hot stone bowl. The bottom of the rice get burned a bit giving it a crunchy feel. And don't forget to try their dumplings and their BBQ short ribs.

This was a great spot to stop and eat. Small, casual place, 10 minute wait, standard Korean menu made very well. It is a great place to go and get something to eat after seeing museums and golden gate park without the crowds in the places on 9th Ave. We were just two, I think it might not be doable with a party greater than 4 people.

The place is small and busy, we luckily got a table for two without waiting. It has great, fast service and a revitalizing vibe -- hard to put my finger on it: from the large windows, close seating, busting multicultural clientele, and/or energetic friendly staff? Surely also from the refreshingly spicy, simple but very tasty meal and the plentiful of well-balanced hot tea. Not fine dining, but absolutely perfect for a lunch.

The place is almost always crowded and you have to wait to be seated, showing the quality of the food! Next to the door there is a pad to put your name on the list. The waiting time is not more than 15min, and even if longer the quality of the food will reward you. The service is good and the staff friendly and knowledgeable of the available food choices. The prices are reasonable and the food amount will full you.

Korean food is one of my favorite dishes and in every city I go to i try to find a gem. This one is in that category. If the guests are mostly Korean the food must be good. Tried the simple bulgogi Which was amazing. Accompanied with a nice cold Hite. Definitely a must for Korean good lovers in San Francisco

With friendly waitstaff and delicious comfort food, Manna is a great place to visit. I had the kalbi which was everything tasty you can imagine for a short rib dish. There were plenty of sides and a good selection of beverages as well. Manna is solid spot for any day of the week. Be forewarned- it's a popular joint so there will be a wait.

This unassuming Korean restaurant is on a busy corner, has no curbside or internal ambiance, only has about twelve tables, and doesn't take reservations. But don't let that stop you from stepping in and enjoying a very nice meal. I won't begin to try to recall everything we ate (our daughter ordered for us) but the beef ribs, seafood "pizza," Kimche with pork, and vegetable stew were excellent. The little free appetizes were also very good. We took home enough leftovers for about three more meals and the bill was less than $50 for three of us, although it could have been less than $30 had we not wanted to try so many dishes.
Small space big flavors
This place is tiny but according to the friends who took me it is constantly full frequently with a line because people like it so much. And I understand because I thought the food was great. They have a pretty extensive Korean menu. We had short ribs and fried dumplings to start which were really tasty. We shared noodles, bibimbap, and a spicy pork dish, and again all were great, nice level of spice and the condiments/sides at the table made customizing your dish easy. There is nothing fancy about the place, and the bathroom is interesting, but the staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. The portions were huge, so great value. It's a short walk from Golden Gate Park, so if you are in the area and have some time, it's well worth a visit.
