Extraordinary service

By Nancy P |

Had a delicious meal, but the service is what made the visit special! Terrific atmosphere, varied menu and quality food!

Good food and service

By Amanda F |

Nice restaurant with delicious breakfast. Enjoyed dinner although the bread was a little hard. Loved the staff.

Comfort food quick

By Altitude66 |

We stayed at the Warwick Hotel in transit for a cruise out of Seattle. We decided to eat brunch here before heading out. They serve good breakfast. The staff are friendly.

Delicious breakfast with great service.

By Seaside33005610826 |

A delicious Eggs Benedict and Waffle for breakfast with very attentive and kind service from hostess and from our server Jason.

Decent, not great

By Rehsinup19 |

Margaux is okay. It is okay if you happen to be there but it is not worth a special trip. Margaux doesn't know what kind of restaurant it is. The cuisine has no distinct personality. Nothing was bad here but nothing was great.

Terrible service and mediocre food

By RK |

Terrible service with mediocre food. Don’t waste your $$. We chose the Warwick for location. The staff suggested Margaux’s, but we should have done more research.

Oatmeal !!

By Denis W |

It is not as busy as nearby restaurants and not as well renowned. Although hesitant after Lola and Dahlia Lounge, we found the food very good and, again, the service was very personable. If you like your oatmeal in the morning, this is the place to go.

Surely recommended for breakfast

By Michael R |

Very good breakfast, good food, big platter, nice place to sit, lo ely atmosphere, super hostess (Kelly), surely to be recommended.

Great place for a good cocktail

By Sandra R |

Yummy food

Great Eggs Benedict and Bagels &Lox Service was great even though it was clear they were short handled! Great start to our vacation

Great place for Happy Hour before seeing a movie at the Cinerama

By SeattleYooper |

This has been our go to place when we have a big group of people for Happy Hour. It's cozy, and has great food and drinks.

Great find, good food, reasonable

By gzgirl |

This Brasserie was right around the corner from our hotel. Good food at normal prices. After seeing twenty dollar omelets down at the market, Margaux was a nice find with a solid and filling club sandwich or burger and fries for under $15.

Won’t be disappointed

By akiva z |

Here for both dinner and breakfast (twice) enjoyed very much Recommend for quite atmosphere, great food friendly service

good food and great location if you're staying at Warwick

By daloninak |

food was good - mostly average considering the location (downtown big city) - the service was great! the wait staff was very patient with our family (i.e. kids) and helpful - this is convenient for guests of the hotel - we would return

Over priced, salty... Oily...

By VavaR |

Over priced for salty, oily food, though the server was very nice. There's a humongous hole in the ceiling....

Great hotel food

By Tad1950 |

Normally you find hotel restaurants to be average at best, this one is a big exception. And absolutely great breakfast. And the service is great and wonderful employees.

Try the Hotel Restaurant

By Kumonski |

After a long day of travelling, we decided to stay "in-doors" and try the restaurant for dinner. What a surprise; the prices were reasonable, with the discount for hotel guests; the food was very tasty; and the service was very good! We were so pleased with the entire experience that we decided to try breakfast; same quality except it is more popular for breakfast so you may have to wait awhile. Better menu selections in the evening; but all said, it is a "very good" choice for dining.

Great clam chowder. Limited menu and limited hours in the restaurant. Nice lounge area for after hours.

Am I in Paris

By ksmess |

Sit at the bar and ask the bartender for his recommendation of the day. We started with martinis and charcuterie. Then red wine with escargot and fresh baked bread. Get in early to get a seat

Delicious items on menu

By christina |

Service great. Food delicious for the most part. Clam Chowder tasty. César Salad delicious and plenty. Calamari was so so-had better, had worse-light batter, small pieces. Dressing so-so. No special kids meal but chicken tenders and fries were a hit.

Convenient and very good.

By Beth L |

WE stayed at the Warwick Seattle while we were in Seattle and ate breakfast there 3 days and dinner 2 days. Food was good although choices were limited. It was nice to have such a beautiful restaurant connected to our hotel.

Excellent service and food - pricey but no regrets...

By WorldTravellerBC |

We had dinner here twice - so this is a review that represents the restaurant's reliability in service and food. It is an asset to Warwicke Hotel where this restaurant shares space with. It is a fairly pricey place to eat and drink but comparable to some of the other restaurants in downtown Seattle. Service was efficient and friendly - we felt very well taken of. The steaks were a highlight of our meals - the rib eye in particular - done medium rare. Our fellow diner made comment that the French Onion soup was as good as his - and he is a chef. The asparagus salad was not overcooked, fresh and precisely balanced. Desserts were delicious as well; in particular the Granny Smith Apple Crumble. Portions were more than fair and we departed full and satisfied. We will have no hesitation dining here again...

Seattle Experience

By Louis B |

Staff is very friendly. At night and during the day. Outstanding service. I felt welcome. Service was excellent as well as the food.

Great Place to Relax

By sehill23 |

This restaurant is located adjacent to the Warwick Hotel. I've eaten here several times and the food was good and freshly prepared. I typically enjoy drinks here after work with coworkers. The bartenders are friendly and do a great job. The convenience is nice if you are staying at the Warwick. My only criticism is that it is a bit pricy for a hotel restaurant.

Breakfast was hot and filling

By FLOGROWNGIRL |

The breakfast was a meal included with my stay at the hotel. We were given a total of five choices. The food was hot and filling. Staff was friendly.

Great food and reasonable prices

By Bob L |

Wow was this a great experience! The tomato basil soup is – and I thought very hard about this – the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s so good and sturdy, I’d even put over pasta as a sauce. I had the cheeseburger just as specified on the menu and it was perfectly cooked and deliciously messy (hey, the mess comes with the territory). My wife had the French onion soup and crab cake. Both were exemplary and the crab cake – which was more crab than cake – was accompanied by a lightly spice aioli that was out of this world AND delicious on fries as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would be happy to go back. Here's why I didn’t give it 5 stars. The manager really pissed me off with her lazy do-nothing performance. We were there on Friday evening August 29, 2025. My seat faced her station so I got to watch this woman wander around the kitchen area, stare at her phone and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING while her outnumbered wait staff hustled their butts off to provide decent service. Seriously, the wait staff was killing it, but just too outmanned to provide really good service. So while they were literally running at times, this slack-jawed manager was looking at her phone. Is it really that hard for here to pick up a pitcher and refill some water glasses or refill drinks as opposed to hanging out by the grill doing nothing??? If I were her supervisor, she’d have been fired on the spot. That wait staff deserves so much better than her so-called leadership.

I'd go back in a heartbeat.

By Susan F |

My friend and I were staying at the Warwick Hotel which opens to the Margaux. We ate breakfast at the Margaux every day while we were in Seattle. Two employees, Andrea and Kelly were there each morning with greetings, smiles and a coffee pot. They made us feel right at home. They were friendly, their service was great and even shared easy to walk to Seattle must-sees. The menu is varied, serving many breakfast favorites. The food was of good quality, fresh and cooked well. Service was prompt and we didn't feel rushed. The cost was reasonable. The restaurant is clean and attractive with windows lining the sidewalk.

Good food and service

By Fran M |

Small friendly bar and restaurant. Good food and service. Happy hour good deal with tappas. Try it even if not staying at the hotel.

Warwick Breakfast!

By sashakeena |

We tried this restaurant on checkout day from the Warwick hotel, as we recieved a $5. voucher upon arrival. However this voucher is not valid for breakfast? Hotel staff did not devulge this information, so we stayed any way. We both ordered the Denver omelet, which does not come with toast? So we ordered (1) toast, which was shared by the both of us. When our bill came it was noticed that the toast cost $4. for two pieces of bread!! Our server was excellent & meal was acceptable, "will not be back"!

Wonderful food

By reddogsailor |

Visited the restaurant because it was in the hotel and we were tired. The food turned out fabulous and the service was great. Pricing is what is expected at a fine dinning restaurant but I recommend take your special someone here and enjoy a nice atmosphere and wonderful food.

Disinterested and terrible coffee.

By Vic D |

I was being shown the sites of Seattle by a local. We wanted an espresso coffee and the Warwick was in front of us. If your in the same situation don't go in. We were the only people in the room, two staff were chatting and ignored us for at least five minutes while they finished their conversation. The waitress was off hand and disinterested in our order. The coffee was terrible and the cost? $11.47, two coffees????!!!! That''s $14.56 AUD which is outrageous.

Fresh and nicely prepared food, conveniently near hotels

By Marc P |

This restaurant satisfied completely. My razor clam chowder was creamy rich and delicious--a smallish cup was plenty. I also had a Cobb salad with lovely fresh ingredients. The chicken in it was freshly grilled. My companion ordered lentil soup, which he liked a great deal, and a seared tuna appetizer I kind of wish I had had myself. I'd go back and try some of the other dishes. Lovely quiet atmosphere, friendly and prompt service.

Overpriced Dennys style food. Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff.

By Nm767 |

The restaurant is way over priced and the staff is terrible with the exception of one waitress we had. I don't know her name but she was white and had a middle eastern type accent. The other staff made us not want to come back at all. The manager lady runs around literally telling you and everyone else they are busy so they will get to you when they can. I've never seen such a rude and unprofessional manager. She shouldn't be there at all, she was no help to the business. We asked for a new coffee cup because most of the dishes there are very dirty. We first asked the extremely rude manager who took the cup and never brought another one. We then asked our waitress ( now a petite asian lady) who again said sure but didn't get one. After probably 30 more minutes we asked a different person and we got one. The food is way over priced and not very good. It's like a Dennys basically but expensive. In fact a regular cup of coffee costs $4.00. The only good thing about this place was how friendly the firat waitress was.

Attached to Warwick Hotel

By alaskamusic |

Great food, friendly service. We had dinner one night from the specials menu. Everything done to perfection and great presentations. Our last night in town we ordered from the regular dinner menu. No disappointments whatsoever. We don't usually gravitate to the "hotel" restaurant, but Margaux is a destination in itself.

Great Breakfast

By Aakira S |

Great spot for breakfast The waiter Kelly and Jason were awesome Top tier will always revisit when coming to seattle for vacation

Hits the spot

By Parisa Z |

Our breakfast was delicious and Jason was great! The other staff were also friendly and very efficient. Food came out very fast.

We will come again, if we can.

By Anne Lildholdt J |

Margaux and staff are just excellent! Kelly M. and the waiter on Monday Evening January 5th and the waitress Tuesday Evening January 6th plus the chef in the kitchen - they all made our days here in Seattle much better and nicer with their empathy, patience and kindness. Actually we are only in Seattle because our flight from Seattle to Amsterdam Monday January 5th got cancelled because of the heavy snowstorm in Amsterdam. We are a family group of 11 people from 1 to 62 years, and we have been on vacation on Hawaii. So Seattle was just where we should change flight on our way back to Denmark. We were rebooked to a plane leaving January 7th and therefore we had to stay two nights in Seattle. Staying at Warwick Hotel was a good experience, and with the good food and service in the Margaux restauran our stay here has been a really good final on a 3 week holiday far away from home.

Pretty good for a hotel dining room

By TherealVman |

Went here for breakfast. I ordered a basic, eggs, meat and hash brown breakfast. It was very good. Which is important, because if you can't nail the basics, you have nowhere to go. I probably wouldn't have eaten here had I not been staying at the Warwick but it was very good and a nice option to have connected. It was a rainy Seattle day and I didn't feel like walking in the rain for my meal.

Breakfast & Dinner

By Nazly L |

This restaurant was convinient as it was next to the hotel. I went for breakfast and eat french toast and orange juice. The toasts were delicious. Then another day I went for dinner and ordered Salmon, it was well cooked but I though it was quite salted. In general was good. It was a good experience to try this restaurant but next time I would go somewhere else coz there are many other places to try.

Frühstück

By Bandit-Trip |

It looks ok from the outside, but the breakfast wasn't good at all and also overpriced. Cappuccino was horrible and continental breakfast consisted of one bagel and some fruit. We will not go there again.

Excellent French Restaurant downtown

By George700East |

The restaurant has its own entrance on Lenora Street or the entrance through the Warwick Hotel lobby. There is limited street parking. The restaurant offers two hours of free parking in the hotel parking lots. The server was outstanding. He kept the water glasses full. He was very courteous. The restaurant has a children's menu. The paella was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The prices were reasonable and the portions were large. There is a full bar. Seating is available in booths and open tables and chairs.

Neither Margaux nor brasserie

By qft03 |

There’s nothing Margaux or Brasserie about this place, just a bland hotel restaurant similar to a hundred others in each of a hundred American cities. The food is serviceable, but ordinary. The service is however pleasant and attentive. A previous reviewer is right. Note the dates of the earlier rave reviews when it first opened.

Breakfast was Great

By BlueGardenia569 |

I had the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly, dare I say anticipatory. A good value especially for the location.

Not Exactly What We Were Expecting

By lawchick123 |

Let me first say that my family is from the South. We noticed that the breakfast menu included biscuits and gravy, so we decided to give it a try. Although the menu indicated that the gravy was chorizo gravy, we were both surprised when the plates were served, and the gravy prominently featured corn. Yes, corn. Maybe we are the ones who are in the minority, but the dish we were expecting did not contain corn. On an earlier day, I had Eggs Benedict with crab, and they were delicious. I think the only real problem was that we assumed the biscuits and gravy would be more similar to what we were used to, and it wasn't. But the disconnect did affect our experience, and thus the downgrade in rating. Prices were on the high end of reasonable, and as long as you know what you're ordering, this is a fine place.

Breakfast Was Great!

By Greenlakereener |

If you want a great breakfast to get your day in Seattle off to a good start, I highly recommend the Margaux, located inside the Warick. The breakfast menu offers lots of choice from $9t to $15. I ordered the $9 avocado toast with poached eggs and tomatoes and is was delicious. The omellettes are huge and come with potatoes and toast. The continental breakfast is yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, and four pastries and muffins, easily big enough for two to share. The waitress was very friendly and service was quick.

Good Morning

By Danamarie B |

We came here for breakfast every day we were in Seattle because it was the restaurant in the hotel for the Warwick hotel. Breakfast was good each day. However, the service was pretty slow even though it was not very busy. I am a chef so I watch everything that is happening around me. It looked as though once there was more than 3 tables the servers could not handle it and looked a little flustered. My husband and I were not in a rush so I was not a big deal to us but I imagine for some that might be a problem. I also think with the hotel in the same building that hotel guests should get some type of discount $4.00 for a glass of milk was a little crazy in my opinion. On our last morning, there was an older women server that must have been off the past few days. I remember hearing her say she has worked there for many years. She was amazing even though she was not our server her presence was felt throughout the restaurant. Management should try and find more staff like her.

Decent

By Danielle B |

I came here for dinner taking my mom out for a nice dinner. I had really high expectations considering how expensive the restaurant is. The bread and butter had an odd lemon scent to it. Different but edible. We started with a crabcake. That was pretty good. Could use a little more seasoning but still good. The Margaux salad was a bit.. weird. The random puff pastry on the salad with the ball of goat cheese was odd. If the goat cheese would have crumbled throughout I think it would have been a bit better. My mom was very pleased with her clam chowder. So far so good. I had the scallops and prawns with risotto. The risotto was cooked well, scallops were really tasty, shrimps were overcooked sadly. Mom had the ribeye, and it was cooked well. The blue cheese butter was... different. When it melts it turns everything purple. And a bit gritty. Just a bit weird over all. The New York cheese cake had a lemon scent to it, which was surprising but ok. The butterscotch torte was awesome. A great note for me to end on. I don't know if I will be coming back since at the very end of dinner it was over $150 but it was an experience to say the least.

Excellent Breakfast

By Flowrida777 |

We only dined here for breakfast but was extremely tasty on all 4 visits - the staff very pleasant and prompt seating each day.

We liked it, with one issue though

By RobBoston80 |

We loved the buffalo chicken salads we had for dinner. They were really good and served on American made Fiesta ! They were still setting up for dinner when we walked in, and the host/serve pointed out we could start at the bar and move over to a table once it was set. The bar tender was not personable, not very good, and overall rude. With that said, the server took us to the table and was a pleasure. We really liked it there. The only think the kept us going back was facing the bartender again. He just hates his job.

So lovely

By Lauren Rogers |

I stayed at the Warwick hotel in May this year and had breakfast every morning down at this restaurant, the staff, the food, the atmosphere are amazing. I become friends really quickly with one particular waiter named Yassini who made my visit so much more enjoyable especially considering I was traveling solo and was quite new to Seattle. I will come back everytime!

Great food.

By arojann |

Loved everything I had. Fish and chips and perfiteroles for dessert. Yum! Also got a box lunch to take along!

Best Meal of Our Trip

By Lisa S |

We stayed at the Warwick and with the rain and cold, it worked out to have dinner at the hotel one evening. So glad we did! Margaux was excellent! Quiet, calm, excellent food - great service and the hotel had given us a 30% offer that certainly made the price very attractive. We had tried a restaurant the night before that was supposed to be thee best, but Marqaux surpassed it in every way.

Nice Bar to Relax at End of A Long Day

By Chris C |

My wife and I stopped in for a few drinks to kill some time prior to her birthday dinner at a different place later in the evening and after a long day at the Seattle Folk Festival. Well made drinks and top service. Great ambience during happy hour. Good specialty drinks but a bit pricey.

Lovely setting, cozy spot for breakfast

By PaulaBow |

In the middle of busy Seattle, an oasis of refined calm was certainly welcome. The service was friendly and our breakfast quite good. The eggs Benedict and french toast were out of this world. Liked the grilled hash browns with bits of green onion; one of us had a biscuit that was huge and fluffy. Coffee came in personal container, fresh and hot.

Service and food were excellent

By ColbertGD |

Margaux is at the Warwick. The wine list is quite good and varied. I enjoyed finding Kiona on their list. The Cajun Prawn Fettuccini was excellent. The cream sauce was light bodied and allowed the cajun spice flavors to dominate the flavors. They did not skimp on the prawns, either. I was pleased the cream sauce was not heavy later in the evening. Service was professional, attentive and Pamela warmed as meal went on. Also, quite pleasant surprise, Margaux charges a small service fee, not the 20% of other establishments. I will return.

Good food, but SLOW service

By BradBrian |

We had breakfast here since it is directly adjoined to the Warwick Hotel, which is where we were staying in Seattle. The food was great (we both had the Eggs Benedict with salmon), but the service was rather slow. It took at least 5 minutes before anyone greeted us at the table and another 5 minutes or more before the coffee and water was served. Meal delivery also took an inordinate amount of time, at least 30 minutes or longer. Finally, after the plates were cleared it took another long span of time before the check was delivered. By that point, we had the credit card ready and handed it off to the server. Granted, we were on vacation and so we weren't in a super hurry, but excellent customer service requires more attention to timeliness and efficiency that what we received. My recommendation for this establishment is to properly train your staff to provide more timely service for your guests.

Great happy hour

By digimom98 |

Nice and quiet happy hour with good selection of food and drink. Nice lounge to sit in. Very comfortable and quiet enough to have a conversation with people without shouting. Really nice.

New experience

By amarula2015 |

The restaurant is located in a hotel first floor in downtown Seattle and the prices are not cheap. We had salmon and duck, the taste was excellent and the presentation very elegant. we also had dessert and although we are not used to spending a lot on fancy restaurants we had a good time. The waitress was very firendly ans helpful when asked about the menu.

Enjoable

By Desiree S |

We were greeted instantly upon arrival and seated. Our server was extremely attentive and kind. The dishes she recommended were excellent, though slightly overpriced. I'm in Seattle several times a year and can't honestly say I'll revisit this restaurant. Not because it wasn't good, but because Seattle has so many restaurants I'd like to try.

Pretty good

By SB01 |

Wouldn't have eaten here but for the Seafair parade, which made us think everywhere else would be crowded, and the fact as Warwick guests we got a hefty discount. The waitress was excellent, as she let our kids eat off the more accessible lounge menu and us parents enjoy the dinner menu, which was more high end cooking. All of the food was excellent, with the dinner menu dishes being beautifully presented and full of flavour. Both our starters were the highlights, with the prawn bruschetta of particular note. Service was friendly and efficient and the ambience quite nice. The one issue I did have is that the wine list was quite pricey. In France you would get good local wines at a range of prices. In the US, all of the wines seem expensive, and some are pretty ordinary. Why is this?

Great breakfast

By David C |

Spent 4 days in Seattle at start of our holiday just over 2 weeks ago (only home yesterday). 1st morning after 20 hours travelling and a few hours sleep our body clocks were still on UK Time so we headed to restaurant as soon as it opened at 6.30am. We both had American breakfasts which included tea/coffee and juice. Both of us requested variations to what was listed on menu and this was no trouble. Food served was delicious. Our waitress Pat was very attentive and efficient. Would highly recommend a visit. So good we dined there all 4 mornings of our stay in Seattle. Also had diner there 1 night - great steak. Would highly recommend.

Excellent food and service

By Bobi A |

We each had a pasta dish for dinner, and both were delish! Portions were generous and the server was friendly and attentive.

Excellent duck breast

By DWTF |

The service and food is excellent, but still a bit over priced. We ate here for breakfast and for dinner while staying at the Warwick, and the breakfast was just okay, a costly omlet and fresh squeezed juice. The dinner though, I was looking for something small, but stellar, and not a filet. The duck breast fit the bill and it was incredible. Paired with a unique orange sauce, delicious potato croquet shaped like a pear and perfectly cooked green beans it was one the most memorable meals of our three week vacation. It was pricey but if you are looking for duck I would recommend Margaux to anyone.

Convenient and good lunch

By hoshiko |

Staying at the Warwick Hotel included a coupon to dine at the Margaux, so I went there for lunch one of the days I was there. The food was very good, reasonably priced and the staff was excellent, both friendly and efficient.

Not worth the price

By Adam G |

We had a coupon from Restaurant.com, and that is the only thing that made this dining experience tolerable. There are some truly great restaurants in this area of town, and you would hope this one would be at the top of their game with quality food, prepared creatively with grteat taste and presentation. Not the case unfortunately. The food was uninteresting, and not very well prepared. The service was excellent, and we actually felt sorry for our server - who had only a couple of tables to wait on at 7 pm on a weekend evening. Now we know why.

Adequate. Some nice some meh. Pros and cons.

By ducklakedaniel |

Wanted a nice dinner before a show and this seemed like a nice spot. Pros: Old school atmosphere. If honest I am not a fan of being packed into a space that doesn't care to "set the mood". This place is still big on making you feel comfortable and you can actually converse with your partner without yelling. The location is handy and they have parking (didn't use but definitely a plus in downtown Seattle). The menu is nicely varied and the service was prompt, friendly and professional. Nice fully stocked bar, cocktail menu and wine list. Cons:The food was not elevated to meet the price point especially when considering the competition even within a few blocks. It was OK but considering that with drinks, desert and tip we dropped nearly a Benjamin...we left feeling underwhelmed. Bottom line: It may seem as though the Pros outweigh the cons, but I wouldn't say so. If we were out for drinks and appetizer...maybe...but even then there are other options that we would opt for over this one. Nice place...but...Ill probably opt for the loud cramped place that wows us and has a price point that matches the wow.

Breakfast was OK

By Frank F |

The food was average as well as the service. PAT is the best waitress in the Marguax - very, very good.

Wonderful French Onion

By josephh721 |

The delicious French Onion soup is some of the best we've ever had and perfect for a rainy Seattle evening. The cheesy goodness and rich flavor made for a beautiful soup.

Breakfast

By Casey G |

Stayed at the Warwick a lot of times for work however first time trying the breakfast. Food is I credible and good value and Jason the server was so nice and helpful. Didn't stop smiling Highly recommend

See my review of my recent stay!

By Christine K |

Loved this restaurant; servers are very pleasant & efficient and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them!

Good breakfast fare

By Brad H |

We ate here twice and this is good breakfast fare served in a rather upmarket setting. Prices are expensive for what you get - egg dishes are in the $14 range, coffee is $4 (but for a metal carafe of high quality coffee). We ate there because we were staying in the Warwick (attached) and it was convenient. I would eat here again if I was staying in the hotel but would not make a special trip. Also the service was a bit slow and we had some inattention to details. I ordered eggs benedict twice with the hollandaise on the side and both times it came on top. Small detail but this should not have been overlooked.

FANTASTIC

By Nina V |

The waiter was very attentive. The menu was interesting and the food was tasty and beautifully presented. I liked mushroom/ cheese strudel, bouillabaisses and profiterole/ice creme.

Good food, service less than recommended

By mctravel2015 |

First night arriving at Seattle, too late to go far for food and choose this for convenience. Server was not very friendly at all, only answers with minimal syllables and only if pushed! He is a native English speaker, so no reason not to talk a little more. Having to wait for service. The food was reasonable for the price. The seating was tiny - I don't see how average sized person can sit in there comfortably! Not the most impressive first meal at Seattle, except the price.

Convenient and good food

By Laurie R |

We stayed at the Warwick for one night before our cruise, and dinner and breakfast were included with our travel package. The restaurant was very convenient as it was in the hotel. Service was very good and our meal was delicious and filling. We had a limited menu with our package, but we enjoyed our chops and salmon. Presentation was excellent and you could see the Chef preparing the meals. Very fresh bread was sliced and brought to the table very quickly. For breakfast the next morning, we also had a fixed menu of eggs, ham, potatoes and toast. It was also good and the service was efficient.

Great little breakfast place!

By J B k |

Great service, delicious food, and friendly atmosphere! Eggs perfect and lovely staff. Enjoyed it all. Coffee was a terrific Seattle brew for first thing in the morning.

Seattle fun

Wonderful service and delicious food, love the atmosphere and decor. Location is perfect with walking distance to many attractions.

Family dinner

By Robert W |

We were tired after a day of sightseeing so we decided to eat at this restaurant which is attached to the Seattle Warwick hotel. We ordered from the pub menu and were very pleasantly surprised. The choices were somewhat limited but all meals were very good. The steamed mussels were especially delicious. Service was excellent and prices including drinks were very resonable

Excellent food!

By King Charles |

Every item I have purchased for consumption at the Margaux has been exceptionally delicious. The calamari, seafood, buffalo chicken salad and Paella were ridiculously delicious. I've yet to try the steak but it smells wickedly tempting.

Great service and food

By Mike L |

Paolo the server was fantastic… Excellent dinner from start to finish. Highly recommend this restaurant. All the staff were very friendly.

Good breakfast

By KWong55 |

We are staying at the Warwick and the Margaux is located in the hotel. We are a group of 10 and decided to have breakfast there and they were so accommodating. Our server was very helpful and friendly and has worked there for many years. I ordered the California benedict with grilled turkey and some ordered the oatmeal with raisins, brown sugar and milk. The portions were hearty and tasty.

Hotel Breakfast and Happy Hour

By fishnguy |

Our party of four ate breakfast here on two mornings when we stayed at the Warwick Hotel. The food is good and the prices are typical higher cost hotel levels. However, it is convenient and the service is always very good. Bottomless cups of coffee are willingly supplied by the staff. We also had drinks in the bar at happy hour when prices are very reasonable. They have an excellent IPA on tap.

Very Average

By Enda C |

The breakfast is great and a fairly reasonable price. It is not a buffet but Ala-Carte service. The evening dinner menu is not great and I did end up having some nice dishes, I recommend the pork chop and the tiger prawn pasta, avoid the fish and chips, and indeed the rib eye was not of a good quality

25th Anniversary Pt. 4

By 702Bill702 |

We stayed at the adjacent Warwick Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed each of our three night dinners and the morning breakfasts. The menu has a French flare to it with several excellent selections. It has one of the best French Dip sandwiches I've ever tasted. Most places have a good sandwich with ok au jus or vice versa. The roast beef had a savory spice flavor and the au jus was a delicious accompaniment. The Pacific Razor Clam Chowder is a great starter for your dinner. It has very tender clams in a creamy sauce. My wife had the Linguini Marinière with shrimp, clams, mussels, salmon, tomato-basil coulis. I had the delicious Duck Breast Bigarade with a pear shaped potato fritter w/snow peas in orange sauce. The breakfasts were just as enjoyable. We noticed that the prices in the surrounding area were a bit pricey but the Margaux was very competitive and at times less expensive than its neighbors.

Does the Job

By Raventwisp |

I recommend the Cajun Pasta - the Warwick does a great job to incentivize guests to eat here with all the coupons they give out. Take advantage! But if you're looking for late night eats, remember that Palace Kitchen is open down the block and provides a much more culinary experience. Friendly wait staff and food came out quick

Great lunch

By trejasi |

Husband and I ate here while we were waiting for our room to be ready. I had their club sandwich which was delicious, and my husband ordered buffalo wings and their fish tacos. Everything was great, but service was a little slow as they had the dining area closed, only the line was open and there was one person serving and tending bar, but she was friendly and our food was served hot. Prices were also good for downtown Seattle.

Enjoyed breakfast everyday!

By Waggles81 |

We only had breakfast there, but it was good. There is an older lady there that makes breakfast interesting. She was great, but you never knew what you were going to get. Go with the right attitude and be entertained. Food was great!

Breakfast

By Angela K |

Ate breakfast there one morning. Food was pretty good, but really expensive for breakfast. Only ate there that day because of proximity to our hotel and the need to get to a tour on time. Went elsewhere other days.

Cozy Watering Hole

By Robert R |

The Margaux Lounge is a quiet, romantic, softly-lit watering hole, a great late-afternoon spot to get away from the outside big-city hustle. If you've got a loved one on your arm, grab one of the comfy booths. The barkeeps are professional, their concoctions perfect. You'll relax and order a encore.

Kind of French

By fredSeattle_Wa |

This has been a lunch favorite - the fixed plate of the day is generally good and well priced. Its not the most fabulous French food but more like the meal that you would get it an actual brasserie in France. Good, reliable, solid meal.

A great find in a city full of restaurants

By Quicksy |

We had the best meal here at the Margaux that we've had in 12 days in the US and at a very reasonable price. Service was sunny and efficient. The food was all fresh and well presented. The French onion soup and the clam chowder were so good that it's worth coming just for them. The fish and chips were the best ever - light batter, freshly cooked and proper thin, crisp French fries AND the best slaw anywhere. The moules too were tasty and in a lovely creamy sauce. I can't fault the meal at all!

Good but Not Amazing Considering the Price Tag

By Noni W |

I give the food a 3.5 rating and service 5 star. Our waiter was attentive and experienced. We started with three different soups: french onion, clam chowder, and the soup of the day which was lentil soup. I often order french onion soup at restaurants and this was one of the best, but the portion was too small. For our main entrees, we ordered the lamb (recommended by other Yelp reviewers), the scallop dish, Margaux salad, and the steak frites. The lamb was the best out of all the dishes. The risotto that came with the scallops stole the spotlight of that dish. Margaux salad was light, but nothing too special and the steak was cooked correctly but just lacked something. Dessert was the apple tart tartin with cinnamon ice cream. Absolutely delicious, but again, the portion was so small for the price. I might come back again if they reconsider their portion sizes.

NYE 2018

By GAYLON J |

We had New Years Eve Dinner at the Margaux while we were staying at the Hotel. We had drinks at the bar while we were waiting on our Reservations. Drinks were ok, but not great. The Food was excellent! My Partner had the Cesar Salad and it was good. I had the French Onion soup, and it was delicious and was made how it suppose to be. We both had the Ribeye steaks that were so tender and very tasty with blue cheese thyme butter, snap peas, and ale-battered onion rings. One of the best steaks we ever had. For desert we had the apple crisp with the cinnamon ice cream and it was so delicious. Only thing we didn't like is the Reservation Manager not being very nice to other guest and employees. Customers do not want to hear gossip and yelling from staff while they are eating. Staff need to be more professional.

good place for breakfast. staff very friendly

By Carol B |

Our waitress was so friendly. We got snippets of her life story:-) good choice of food and very generous portions.

Top notch service

By Rebecca G |

Stayed at the Warwick and had a wonderful time at Margaux. Trish, behind the bar absolutely killed it during an insane Seahawks Super Bowl celebration parade. Great service and great drinks!

Just OK

By BILLYVILLAN |

Food OK but not great. Quite expensive for the standard of food. Very easy to find better quality for less cost.

Quick drink

By BowralBB |

This bar was in the bottom of our hotel, so grabbed a quick beer here on our way somewhere / on our way back perhaps (I forget). Loud sports on the telly so couldn't really have much of a conversation, but cheery waitress.

Nice place to dine!

By garyamc |

We were staying at the Warwick to attend the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. We had dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The food was good but felt the menu was very limited for this type of restaurant. Service was okay as they switched servers in the middle of our dinner. Would give it another try in the future.

Very disappointing

By Rebeccahale |

Out of 9 poached eggs, over 3 different menu items the cook was able to get one right! In addition, we overheard him berating the waitress for giving us the wrong description of a medium poach. Actually, after much research she (and we) were right and he was wrong. On to the hollandaise, which was somehow tangy but without flavor and the cornbeef hash that consisted of about 1/4 cup of chopped up cornbeef. Skip this place.

Decent Happy Hour

By Mike O |

While out looking for light dinner we stumbled upon Brasserie Margaux. Perfect timing it was happy hour. We sat in the lounge ordered a couple cocktails and four different appetizers. Our service was great, cocktails were very good and came out quick. The food also came out quick, but was just average. The crab cake was burnt on the bottom side (which means they tried to hide it), the calamari was soggy, the chili shrimp was flavorless, but the chicken wings were very good. The meal served its purpose, but didn't blow us away.

Ok but standard

By TamisCanada |

Breakfast was expensive and service was ok but the lady that was serving seems to be in pain so that was probably a factor. Price for coffee and tea were high I thought.

Great Breakfast!

By Daniell L |

We had the lemon parfait. Omg. Soooo delicious! That lemon curd is out of this world! We also had the avocado toast! Super tasty! We didn’t expect much from a hotel restaurant and we were blown away! Highly recommend!

Great selection of food...and it was delicious. Highly recommend the scallop dish! The wait staff is very friendly and efficient as well. They do serve breakfast but we were always headed out sightseeing.

Breakfast: not so good

By MoscowInIdaho |

Stayed at hotel for several days and ate breakfast there with my family several times. Overall, the food was pretty bad. Nobody in my group ever found anything they actually liked or looked forward to. Pricey food that nobody wanted to eat.

Worst Experience

By LolittaB |

I received a gift certificate to this restaurant as a birthday present. My husband made a reservation for 6 of us for dinner at 7pm. Upon arrival at 6:50pm to the restaurant another group of 6 entered the restaurant in front of us. When asked if they had a reservation they said no. Server continued to ask are you the Brown party and again the answer no. My sister replied that is us. She walked away and sat the other family never to return. Another server came asked the same questions and then looked around to see where to sit us (even though we had a reservation). We ordered two cocktails, 2 salads, and 2 calamari appetizer and placed dinner orders. When we had not received our dinner by 8pm, and all other tables who came in after us had been served as well as the family who came in at the same time had already eaten paid there bill and left. We asked the reason as were told because we ordered appetizers. Every other table had also ordered appetizers and food and had just as many patrons. We felt totally discriminated against. We asked for our bill for what we had ate. The server charged us $90.00 which included the full price for a meal never served. I will never return to this restaurant and I hope you don't either.

Great breakfast spot in downtown Seattle

By TouTzu |

Kelly was a breath of sunshine, a great way to start the morning! Omelet was nothing fancy but properly done. Drip coffee actually quite decent, this coming from a spoiled Seattlite.

Disappointing

By lysmekah |

We were staying at the Warwick and given a coupon to use in the restaurant, so we went down. It was late, so we ordered drinks and dessert. The drinks were super sweet (too much so to enjoy), and the desserts were not good. Felt very expensive for very low quality product. Maybe the lunch or dinner were better? But doubt I would return to find out.

Great Relaunch -- New Menus

By nancysavt |

We had a week of breakfasts, plus occasional dinner and bar visits. The staff was great, including Dimitria, Trisha and Kelli. Tried eight items on the new breakfast menu, and each was delicious and filling -- vegetable omelet, salmon omelet, avocado toast, breakfast sandwich, shakshuka, morning parfait, and the American. Dinner was hamachi crudo, seafood chowder, salmon, and pasta --- all delicious also. We stay every year, as Warwick Journeys members, and these new menus are just terrific. A great value, minimal wait time, and friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely lunch

By Mary S |

We were staying at the Warwick and decided to give their restaurant a try. We were very pleased. I totally enjoyed the clam chowder, grilled scallops and delicious bread. Good service and nice atmosphere too.

Great chefs... good food, great service.

By Eric M |

Great chefs & presentation, great service and reasonable prices but food quality could be a bit better.

Not as advertised

By Mamie |

Server/kitchen doesn't do a very good job to ensure your meal is made correctly. Also, check your beverage to make sure it doesn't come with anything floating in it.

Solid food, terrible desserts.

By TheTravelHawks |

Good service, nice old-style Seattle decor and solid dinner - Great French Onion soup, yummy crab cake appetizer, and main courses were very good. Dessert, however, badly disappointed. Go elsewhere - Green Apple crisp mentioned oats - just a few flakes and needed a LOT more as it sat on a puff pastry that was awful, no flavor. Creme brulee was cold, not warm. 3 1/2 stars.

Plenty of selections / reasonable pricing!

By Dave R |

Personally, only had breakfast there - traveled with others who had lunch / dinner - all were pleased with food & service.

Wasn't my best dining experience, but Recovered well

By LSullyR |

I took my 7 year old daughter to dinner here for New Years Eve while we were waiting to head ot the Seattle Center to watch the fireworks shoot off on the Space Needle. It was expectedly busy, but we were treated well and got our table quickly. It took a little bit to get our initial drinks ordered, but that was to be expected with as busy as they were. I ordered a cheese stick appetizer for my daughter with the chicken strips kids meal. I ordered the Scallops and Prawns and a cup of French Onion soup with a glass of Malbec. I was a little surprised when they brought out my cup of soup and my daughters appetizer and entree at the same time, but my daughter was happy, the soup was very good as was the Malbec. The atmosphere was great and the other customers were friendly, which is good since the seating is very close together. After about another 30-40 minutes, I still had not received my dinner, my daughter was long since done eating and getting very antsy to leave. I was about to just cancel my entree and pay for what we had already gotten and head out to our New Year's Eve activities when they finally brought my dinner. I promised my daughter I would eat quickly and we would leave. I cut one of the scallops in half and took a bite. My first reaction was how wonderfully it was seasoned, then realized that the scallop was still cold in the center--undercooked. I was disappointed to say the least. I called the waitress over, who was very good and very friendly throughout the service, even though she was always flying around the restaurant, and explained the situation to her. I explained that I was not upset, as I had been nibbling on the wonderful dinner bread, had some of my daughter's appetizer as well as the soup and wasn't all that hungry anymore, but more importantly, after my daughter had been sitting extremely patiently the whole time (we had been at the table for an hour at this point), I couldn't subject her to waiting any longer for a refire of the meal. We were both ready to go. I asked the waitress what we could work out. Mind you, I fully was expecting and would have been happy to pay for everything we had ate there, I just was wanting to have my entree removed from my tab, pay it and head out to have a wonderful New Year's Eve with my daughter. They waitress was very understanding of the situation and admitted that we had been waiting a very long time for the meal and was very apologetic that it wasn't presented satisfactorily. She then said that the entire meal would be taken care of. Completely unexpected, but very much appreciated. I realize we were there on one of the busiest nights of the year and mistakes happen. To me, it shows the class of a place in how they respond to the mistakes. They responded better than expected. I would definitely give this restaurant another try next time I am downtown! Had it not been for the undercooked scallops after such a long wait for them, I am sure I would be giving everything 5 stars. Had the restaurant not responded the way they did, I would have given it all 1 stars!

Very good food.

By Kerry C |

This restaurant is attached to the Warwick Hotel but is certainly good enough to stand on its own. The entrées are a bit on the expensive side but hotel guests are subsidized (see my separate review) and it is on the Passport card. Even at full price, however, the food is excellent and well-prepared. My wife’s salmon was outstanding, cooked perfectly to order (medium rare): accompanied by delicious and inventive sides; and exquisite to look at. My lamb shank was nicely done with a huge amount of meat but could have used a little additional sauce. Soup/salad is à la carte. The wine list is small but varied and, unfortunately, overpriced. My measurement of this is the price of Domain Drouhin Willamette Valley Pinot Noir which was $89, over 2.5 times retail and 50% more than I’ve seen in other upscale restaurants. The by the glass selection has good variety but nothing cheaper than eight dollars. My wife’s Chardonnay was a bit weak although my Malbec was fine. The accompanying breads were obviously fresh baked and nicely flavorful with plenty of butter. The herbed bread in particular was a standout. Service was friendly (in a good way) and attentive. If you’re staying at the hotel, you can’t go wrong eating here. Even if you’re not, I still recommend it. By the way, valet parking is free for lunch and dinner guests.

All around solid restaurant, superior pre/post-movie option for Cinerama

By brizone |

Was taken out for my birthday, the drinks, food and service were outstanding. Great Belltown location, convenient. Complimentary self-park in the hotel was easy, and quick. Honestly, everything on the menu looked good. It's one of those kind of places.

Great food, drinks, friendly service

By goblue1961 |

It was 8 pm on a Monday. There was one server and she had a large group with entrees coming up plus a couple other tables. The bartender came right over to get us started on drinks. He was very friendly and made great drinks. The server apologized, said they were slow and sent the other server home, then got busy. We understand stuff happens and were well taken care of while we waited. My husband had the lamb shank. I had shrimp and scallops. All delicious. Also had heirloom tomato salad and Margeaux salad, both great. Enjoyable experience.

Excellent dinner

By Bernard D |

Don't trust open table, kept telling me the rest was full. Decided to ring them, no problems. Got there and it was empty. Told management about o/table, he had heard about the problem. It was a Friday nght too. Food was amazing. Great value for Seattle. The salmon entree was the best. Lamb chops great too. Service excellent (obviously!) going back there again tonight. Highly recommended and we are fussy people.

Good food, dated decor

By aprilgirl76 |

We had a very nice dinner here. The staff was friendly, the service was good. The restaurant in the Warwick is a little tired looking. I would eat here again because of the food and the staff.

Dine and feel comfortable in this restaurant

By Rolf Fluegge |

You get fresh and excellent food and of course drinks. Ask the waiter what is the best special for the day. You will not be disappointed.

Convenient to Warwick Hotel.

By Jean Yount |

I just had bar food which they serve when restaurant is not open. The Seattle beer selection was good, and they a few Washington wines. The crab cake was excellent.

Average breakfast

By JMAC |

Very average breakfast with sausage so peppery I couldn't eat it, scrambled eggs rather rubbery and hash brown not at all crisp. They also don't have gluten free bread and treat you as if you are being difficult even asking for it. At $20 I felt this was not good value for money. Shame as we had planned on going there for dinner but changed our minds.

Best Risotto in the City!

By Ann R |

The appetizers at the restaurant are extraordinary. The mushroom risotto is the best I have ever been served in Seattle.

Sunday Brunch

By ESK1717 |

Really great brunch choices on a Sunday morning and great service. Only one problem - we asked our server where the restrooms were and she told us that only guests of the hotel with room keys could use the restroom!!! Don't eat here if you might have to use the restroom!

Good food, dated interior

By AlexGorno |

We were pleasantly surprised with the food here. The interior is a bit dated so I wasn't sure what to expect. We ordered the seafood risotto and rib eye and they were both very good. Large portions too. I don't believe they are ever very busy, so you can easily get a table on a Friday night.

Location: 10/10 , The Service (Staff) Kelly 10/10 , Food 8/10 , great overall hotel 10/10

By Zapp |

Location of course is top Notch, the Restuart serves good food and the service is exceptional, we had breakfast which was very tasty , our Server Kelly was such a wonderful human being, but also carry’s herself with professionalism and made sure we had what we needed been in the hotel business myself and hiring staff , it’s not easy finding employees like Kelly , she is a keeper great energy and happy employee who adds more to the hotel and it’s restaurant, I recommend stopping in whether if your staying in the hotel or just looking for a place to grab a drink or food .

expectations surpassed!

By bug_guy |

well this was a nice surprise. i tend to have low expectations for hotel restaurants but this one certainly passed with flying colours. i was travelling with my mom and other family - we had a long day and wasn't feeling particularly adventurous - just wanted a quick and easy dinner at our hotel. the ambience was a bit dated but still comfortable and relaxing. the service was great - attentive and pleasant servers. the food was quite outstanding. i had the steak frites - cooked to my liking and delicious. my wife had the pork chop - she really enjoyed it. it was moist and flavourful. my mom and sis had the salmon which they really enjoyed. without a hotel 30% off coupon, this would have been too expensive. i probably wouldn't make a special trip to this restaurant but for a simple meal if you're staying at the hotel or nearby, i would certainly recommend.

Great staff and pleasant dining

By RG S |

We were very happy with our dining experience and with the staff during our recent visit to Seattle. The food was prepared just right and plated attractively. The seafood was delicious and not overcooked. The pork chop was prepared excellently and was tender. We will be visiting again on our next visit.

Fine service

By Karl Z |

The service is quick , the meneu is large enough and the prices are not bad. Open for Breakfast and Dinner , sometime a bit quiet but nise atmosphere .

Great breakfast, apps, soups and drinks

By ilive4sun |

We got 2 free drinks for staying at the hotel. That and a bowl of soup for each of us hit the spot our first night. My husband really liked the clam chowder, and I thought the French onion was the best I've had anywhere (fyi, it is on the sweet side). We also enjoyed the fish tacos. David at the bar took good care of us. Wish we had time to try their halibut dinner...it sounded good but we had to keep moving. Breakfast with Pat is a hoot! Everything made fresh and good coffee/service. The yogurt and fresh fruit was delicious. Asked for and received some granola to go with it for no extra charge.

Great food

By Tggrasser |

Awesome food, and great service. Great selection of food. Be ready to spend a little more money, but well worth it. I had the blue chees butter topped ribeye. Cooked perfect and very delicious. Chowder was awesome. If you stay in the hotel, you get a nice discount on a meal while your there.

Great location to the Warwick hotel

By Amber Jean R |

We enjoyed breakfast on our last day before check out. We were seated right away. We had a lovely waitress. Her name escapes me but she has worked there since 1981 (sorry about not remembering the name). She was great. Told us stories and about the area. The food was great. Had the "American breakfast" that came with everything you could want. A little on the pricy side but was worth the money.

Very Nice

By crystal27 |

Great Service, great food. We had appetizers service on a 3 tier tray. Order 3, pay for 2 during happy hour. Very reasonably priced food and drink

Average Food, Good Service

By Myranda B |

The food wasn't anything spectacular. We tried the grilled ribeye and the chicken. Pretty pricey for a so-so meal. However, we loved our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. The best thing I had there wasn't until the dessert. I recommend the apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream.

OK for breakfast

By Robert P |

This restaurant is located in the Warwick Hotel where we stayed for several nights. The service was friendly and excellent. The food was decent; however, our eggs were too runny and could have used a bit more flavor, even if it was just a touch of salt. I'd eat here again if I stay at the Warwick, but it wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast.

Hidden GEM....

Absolutely FANTASTIC chef!!! His menu is wonderful, his attention to detail phenomenal and his talent is certainly well honed. We have eaten at Emeril's restaurant in Louisiana and my sister and hubby have eaten at Chef Ramsey's steak house in Vegas!! We were NOT disappointed, this chef can hold his own!!!!

Nice Find

By Traveler3939 |

We found this place just by walking by and decided to give it a try. We were a party of 11 and our servers took really good care of us. They were very quick and extremely friendly. My wife had the prawns fish and chips which she really enjoyed. Prawns were perfectly cooked with a nice crispy batter. I had the cod fish and chips and again perfectly cooked and crispy but just lacked sone seasoning. But overall an enjoyable dinner was had by everyone.

No longer a brasserie

By Greg H |

My wife and I went to the Margaux for dinner based upon the reviews, Most were over a year old so we assumed the restaurant had closed for a while due to Covid. We had walked past the restaurant earlier that day and saw it was open, so we came back for dinner expecting French fare. The name was the same, but the menu was American pub fare - burgers, salads, wraps, fish and chips. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable (meal and a beer for about $20 per person). The only negatives were the service and the seating. There was one server seating people, taking orders and collecting payment for the entire dining room. We were not in a hurry so that was not a problem. He was very pleasant and apologized for the situation. My wife ordered a basic cheeseburger and the kitchen brought a mushroom swiss burger. They offered to take it back, but she was fine with the mushrooms and swiss. The other negative was the booth seating. Considering the state of Covid at the time of our visit, I'm surprized that customers were seated back-to-back without barriers. The booths by the front windows had plexiglass barriers, but the rest of the dining room did not. Fortunately, the people beside us left within a few minutes of our arrival. If we lived nearby and Covid was not an issue, we would be regulars due to the food and price points. But we would not expect creme-brulee for dessert!

Enjoyed my Experience

By ARSaltman |

Well, to start this review I want to say that I originally went to this restaurant because I had read on Restaurant.com that it was French cuisine. I have been to France and this, my friends, was not French cuisine. The food was not bad, in fact it was wonderful, just not French. The restaurant is on the first level of the Warwick Hotel. I drove there with my friend in the passenger seat and after navigating the busy downtown streets I pulled into the garage which is on 4th ave. The hotel entrance is on Lenora street but that is okay. You can easily Google or mapquest the parking garage. Scout also works for this. If you go to the restaurant your parking is free which is nice. The first thing my friend and I noticed when walking in was how small the restaurant is. I would not go there on a Friday or weekend evening without having a reservation. I made sure to have a reservation just in case but there was no need for that at the time. Nonetheless, we were greeted immediately by a smiling waiter and promptly seated by one of the large french windows. I am sure it would be lovely dining there on a hot afternoon as these windows swing open completely and there is a flower box on the window seal. The waiter gave us our menus and brought us water goblets that were pristine and almost glowed blue from the bluish tint of the glass. I will say that the water could have tasted better. That being said I am a water snob and I have an acute sense of taste that not everyone has. If you generally do not taste water then I am sure you will be fine with the water here. I did not order any other drink nor did my friend as we are both water drinkers. After a little bit of a wait our waiter brought us freshly baked sourdough bread that he had just sliced and some butter. We ordered the three course meal, I got the Cesar salad, giant wild mushroom ravioli, and the creme brule. My friend got the broccoli cream soup, salmon, and apple cinnamon dessert. I enjoyed every bit of my meal. The Cesar salad was delicious, the romaine lettuce was crisp and a very deep green, the croutons were fresh baked, and the Parmesan cheese was not overwhelming as it can sometimes be. My mushroom ravioli was more like a lasagna as there were strips of fresh, handmade pasta layered with the mushroom "filling" and the whole thing was drenched in a white truffel cream sauce. Overall I would have liked a little more pep in the ravioli but it was delicious and very filling. Finally, I had the creme brule which was both a bit of a disappointment and a wonderful surprise. I am used to creme brule with a fairly thick caramelized layer on the top that you must break with a spoon and mix into the custard. This is to lend extra texture to the otherwise flimsy textured custard. My surprise was that this layer was very thin and required no spoon taping at all. In fact, I touched my spoon to it and the caramelized layer stuck to the spoon requiring some work to remove. The creme part of this dish did not disappoint however. It was very strongly vanilla flavored and had vanilla bean in it plain as day. This was the single most tasty creme brule I have ever personally had and, save for the lack of thick over-layer was a wonderful example of a desert done well. Now, my friend's dish was a bit of another story. Her broccoli cream soup was something to behold. It came out in a small dish similar to a personal fondue ceramic dish. Maybe even a small souffle dish would be accurate to describe the size of it. I was surprised to see this as most restaurants provide you with a larger, shallow bowl for your soup enjoyment. However, one sniff of the soup was more than enough explanation for the small dish. My nose was immediately immersed in the strong smell of broccoli and when my friend put the spoon into the bowl I could tell the soup was the consistency of a somewhat thin Dijon mustard. Indeed it smelled like broccoli mixed with Dijon mustard and my friend agreed that was indeed what it taste like. Not that she was complaining, she was very happy with the soup. She attempted to get me to try it however I could "taste" it from across the table with my nose. It was that strong. Her main dish was Salmon over sweet corn polenta with fried parsnips on top. She didn't eat the parsnips I am assuming because they were crunchy and she didn't want that texture to combat the fish. I did try her dish and I personally thought that the salmon tasted too fishy. This may sound silly to say but salmon is a clean tasting fish, especially when you are right next to the ocean it supposedly came out of. Unfortunately, whether it was a brine or if the fish was previously frozen it did not taste that great. Similarly, the sweet corn polenta was good, it was a bit grainy and lacked significant taste but was likely muted to bring out the flavor of the salmon. Finally, her dessert was cinnamon ice cream with an apple pastry of sorts. The ice cream was amazing and the apple pastry must have been good because she ate it up without hesitation. The entire time we were dining our waiter was very attentive and filled our water glasses quickly. He even replaced our silverware after each course which was something I had not been expecting at all. I am used to the settings being laid out and you must budget your utensils appropriately. Perhaps he felt the need to replace the silverware because the setting was wrong? I am not sure but I have no complaints about the attentiveness of the gentleman. He was personable and made good recommendations. He was even apologetic when I presented a coupon for $25 off a $50 purchase. Unfortunately, my friend and I had ordered the three course meal which was a special and so I could not use the coupon. That's okay because now I can take my honey to the restaurant and see how he handles the menu. Overall, our meal was $65 and I left a hefty 30% tip for our wonderful waiter. As we were leaving I saw him standing across the restaurant with a sort of awkward but endearing grin that made me smile. The restaurant decor was nice I thought though I am not one to carefully detail decor. I notice when something is dirty, broken, or sketchy looking and this restaurant had no such issues. I fully recommend it to anyone in Seattle looking for American style food that has a slight French twist.

Good Food Great Service

We had the bowl of clam chowder and baguette bread for lunch, continental breakfast included Coffee, OJ, yogurt with stawberries and lots of yummy pastries. All had good flavor.

Good food

By Ryan H |

We came for a quick late night meal. Good burgers and tacos. Drinks were a little rough but cool place.

Breakfast with clients

By D J |

We met here for breakfast with a client as it was near to their office. We had eaten here before so we knew what to expect. Breakfast comes American style with as much as you can drink coffee! It's ok but could be better - I am sure you can find breakfast in an alternative establishment for a better price locally.

Just Breakfast

By Eric P |

WE had practice because the hotel provide with us free American breakfast, while we were there. Had great sausages and coffee. Eggs were tasty, hashbrowns both days were a bit under cooked. Service was great, I think David his name.

Great service, average food

My cousin and I ate at the Brasserie recently before going to the opera. The waiter did a fabulous job of serving us quickly and recommending dishes that would accommodate our limited time. The lamb shanks were very good but most of the other plates were unremarkable.

Rushed and unwelcomed

When I arrived between 10:30-10:45. I approached a girl behind the bar she greeted me "what's up?" I asked if I could order something to go. She to ask the other worker. I asked the other girl if I could order two coffees, toast and bacon. She answered "its going to be a while , everybody decides to come in now when we are closing soon". I didn't feel welcomed and I will not be returning.

NICE RESTAURANT-GOOD FOOD

By chrisena96706 |

We went there to eat lunch while staying at the hotel. I also ordered breakfast for room service. The restaurant does have specific times for breakfast lunch and dinner. They close between lunch and dinner but you can move to the bar and order drinks and appetizers.

Unexpected Quality and Care

By SunnynMark |

For six years, I lived within walking distance of this restaurant. It was quite good and it became a semi-regular place for me and my SO at the time. Then we broke up and I moved to another part of the city. My wife and I were looking for a place that served dinner on Christmas, which, in Seattle at least, is a rare thing. (Not so in many other large cities.) The Brasserie Margaux came up on a search. So, after more than five year's absence I tried it again. Although I know how frenetic Christmas can be for people looking to eat out, I was nonetheless startled to find a queue at near the desk with couples and families without reservations trying to get a table. The place was packed, but we had booked a week prior,so we were immediately seated. But the real surprise came when the server offered to have the kitchen make substitutions on their limited fixe prix menu because of some dietary restrictions. She was extremely helpful and affable, despite what seemed like a trying evening for all of the wait staff. Even more surprising were the superb dishes we had. No mass servings here. The meal was excellent in both quality and presentation. We were not even hurried to turn over the table for the next wave. It was a delightful, elegant evening. We will have to make a trip there more often.

Convenient Breakfast

By pilgrim672015 |

While staying at the hotel we used Margaux for breakfast and one dinner. For breakfast you can use the vouchers for continental toward a larger breakfast. Fare for breakfast was traditional with a good muffin. Dinner offered a range of options. Service was very good in each case.

Really rude bartender

By lorraine6225 |

A group of us went here for happy hour. The bartender was the rudest person I have ever encountered. He slammed down menus on the table and did not even greet us. He came back to take our order and just said "what do you want" not even fretting us or making suggestions. The drinks were terrible. At the end of the night he brought us our check with contained several other tables drinks on it. When we pointed out that he over charged us he screamed " I really don't care, I have a table over there that I have not even served yet and I don't have time for throw now". He came back and apologized but really, what a jerk. He got no tip. Also the food was sub par and there were fruit flies everywhere. Overall gross.

Perfectly done burger & excellent martinis.

By Erika H |

I simply had the burger; which came exactly as I ordered. Perfectly medium; no condiments needed. Had two very nicely made martinis in the lounge. Only complaint is my prawn appetizer was actually 3 small/medium sized shrimp; however, the sauce they came in was delicious. I would go back for the martinis and to try other entrees.

Good Food

We were tired of walking around and needed to eat somewhere nearby our hotel, Warwick. Well, there it was, Brasserie Margaux! They had a coupon and we went in. The food was very good and service was good, too. Everyone loved their steaks and I liked the halibut. What can you say, halibut is halibut. It's the sauce that adds to it. At least, it was fresh.

Hotel restaurant, needs some remodeling but wonderful food

By bobcrowe |

We were staying at the Warwick Hotel, where the restaurant is located, and dined there on our last night in town. Although the hotel rooms have been completely remodeled the restaurant looks rather worn. However, the service was perfect and the food first rate. Wine list pricey - normal for Seattle - but several good values. The huge crab cake was perfect. Risotto with mushrooms and parmesan had kernels of sweet corn added. Inspired.

Yum!

Dinner was very good! No waiting Friendly service Pretty reasonably priced Good menu selections And most importantly, very tasty food! Fresh, hot, well seasoned and good portions! Starter bread offered Ordered $35 prix fixe dinner. I had Salad, salmon, apple tart with cinnamon ice cream Others in my party had cabbage soup, pork chop and apple tart We were all very happy with our selections! Located inside Warwick hotel. Parking in building kinda pricey, but no more than any other location. Overnite $40. Private lots about half that. Street parking cheaper or free if u can find it. Nice alternative to Many popular Seattle restaurants which tend to be trendy, but crowded, long waits or reservation required, overpriced and often food not so good. We didn’t have to worry about any of that. I will go again!

Best place for breakfast

Loved the Lady who served us here for breakfast. Really chatty, natural and friendly. I didn't catch her name unfortunately. Older Lady.. in fact her Grand children turned up one morning whilst we were having breakfast! This Lady couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Oh, the food was great too!!

Food was good but overpriced

Food was good but overpriced. Benny was that they gave us a 30% discount for staying at Warwick hotel.

Actually good hotel resturant

By Brandon F |

We’ve been staying in town for a week and have grabbed food from here a few times now. It’s always been fast, friendly staff, good food, and reasonably priced. Jason was our server this morning and he was awesome. Would recommend if you’re staying in the area.

Convenient for breakfast and great for happy hour specials

Breakfast was a bit on the pricey side, but for the location and convenience, it couldn't be beat! The drink specials and tapas specials (3 for the price of 2) were excellent!

Nice Breakfast

Many places closed or overcrowded on a Sunday holiday weekend. We walked right in. Nice selection of breakfast food and the lunch menu was also available at 11 AM. Super service.

Great place for breakfast

By Aspen86 |

We were wanting just a good basic breakfast, ie bacon, eggs, and cereal and we got just that at a very reasonable price in a very nice restaurant. Service was great as well.

Delicious and Resonably priced

Breakfast was amazing (Eggs Bene) and reasonably priced for a hotel venue. Service was amazing and I wish I cold remember our servers name. We dined on Thursday Jan 22nd.
