Great service, delicious fare

By s.b.wess |

Nice vegan poke bowl! The hummus was smooth and creamy. Everything was fresh. My husband rates his burger as 8/10. Carlos was a friendly and attentive server! We enjoyed our visit after a long day of walking the Beltline.

Great burger and fries

By Girlmurmuration |

We stopped here more than once simply because it was so darned convenient to our hotel. Our waitress was excellent. The menus are in small print. For a "tavern," we were a little disappointed in the beer selection. Very few on tap and like so many places there focus is on IPAs. I prefer pilsners and my friend prefers lagers which greatly limited our choices. We kept it simple and ordered the Tavern Burger with cheese. I got mine lettuce wrapped. I had the hand-cut Tavern fries for my side. The burger was really good. I loved their hand-cut fries. I would have ordered GF Shrimp and Grits but I don't do japaleno anything! We had the carafe of Mimosas. They were good but I'm not sure it was regular OJ, it was kinda like Tang. We spent more on the mimosas than we did our food.

Fabulous place to ear

By Robert C |

Service and food were outstanding. Lots going on but still that personal touch. Downtown with a very comfortable feeling.

Very good with small hiccups

By SoFL-LovetoTravel |

The food for the most part was very good. We returned for a second dinner. Grilled chicken stack, Mongolian trout, and burgers were all excellent. Deducted 1 star for tough steak in black and blue salad and lukewarm undercooked fries with burgers (which we should have returned for fresh ones). Would strongly recommend if in the area and note that prices were reasonable as well

Marlowe’s Tavern is perfect.

By Fal L |

Marlowe’s Tavern is perfect. They staff and the food are both wonderful. They practiced social distancing, wore masks and gloves and had arrows to mark where patrons can walk to maintain that social distancing. We ordered firecracker shrimp, salmon salad, chicken tenders and wings, shrimp and crab nachos and drinks. Everything was fresh and hot and delicious. I recommend it and I will be back.

Better food than you would expect at a Tavern

By taharch |

The toasts are really good. I had the French dip and the broth needs to be a little more rich. One my friends had the Fish Tacos and she enjoyed the favors. The fresh asparagus fries were perfect

Great everything but...

By Annette A |

I love Marlow's Tavern. The food is always exquisite, and the service always awesome! The only reason why I didn't give this place a 5 is because of the sangria. The sangria to me is rated at 4 out of 5, it is unbelievably expensive for a carafe, and they fill it up with ice....completely full of ice. You can get 2 glasses out of that carafe, which costs a lot less if you buy it by the glass. Other than that this place is great!

Great food

By BigO824 |

very nice. Food was excellent. fairly reasonable prices. Shrimp and grits were amazing. Very good selection of beers.

Tasty food, good service

By Nan B |

Had a very nice salad with perfectly prepared salmon. The server was just the right amount of attentive. I would definitely come here again.

Great food...great service...fun environment.

By its5pmsomewhere |

Now that I live in the neighborhood, I have had the chance to enjoy a few meals at Marlow’s. Always a great experience. Love the Royale with cheese burger. Lots of great sides, but I love the side salad. Great soups...loaded baked potato and tomato are both awesome. Honestly, I haven’t had anything I didn’t love. Staff is amazing also.

Simply GREAT

By STL Foodie |

Staying at a nearby hotel. Ate here for lunch on a Friday. Damir (sp) was our server and was excellent. Knowledgeable on the menu, and cared that we had a good experience. Grouper sandwich was fantastic. Full of flavor. Burger was great. Fries were great. Good atmosphere with TVs everywhere.

Nice tavern atmosphere and good food

By Marion J |

Service was excellent and the food is consistently good. Best things we have had there are the fried asparagus and the firecracker shrimp.

Great service and very good food

By UE_DC64 |

Second visit to this restaurant. I had filet mignon that was cooked perfectly medium rare. My daughters salmon was also very tasty and beautifully presented. And the vegetarian burger was very tasty. I explored the terrific beer selection on the menu. Two fantastic desserts: chocolate pudding and creme brûlée.

Marlows---But high in Service & food

Have visited Marlow's Tavern on many occasions when staying with my daughter. We have always received a good & courteous welcome. On this visit we had my Grandchildren Aged 4&2 they welcome & cater for small people--provide highchairs & bumper seats plus crayons and a colouring sheet. The children's menu is varied & good.Excellent General menu plus a good selection of Wines & Beers.

Best dining experience we’ve had in a long while

By Dionel |

Very good looking restaurant. Our server, Sam, was amazing. The manager brought out the chips and those were also amazing. Everything we ordered was excellent. I can’t wait to come back to Atlanta so we can come back.

Impressive

By Mike M |

Good atmosphere and food . Try the black and blue burger or fish tacos. Both were some of the best I’ve had in quite a while.. limited wine selection but plenty of craft beers. Service was very good and we got a free appetizer because it was our first visit. Lastly you can park in the public ramp next door free! Enjoy it was a fun place.

Really Great Food

By Dennis F |

Their menu and preparation includes some innovative and delicious choices. Go big. Try something different. We were not disappointed at anything we ordered. The kitchen service seemed slow, but the floor staff could not have been more hospitable.

Restaurant was slammed

By David L |

In spite of a deluge of after work/after conference diners, which significantly slowed service, the food was very good and the staff (mostly) kept their humor. I'll definitely go back since I live conveniently in the neighborhood. I had the salmon, cooked to order and nicely combined with veggies; my friend had (and liked) the Buddha Bowl, their mainstay vegan entre.

Lovely experience

By jendye_10 |

Went here for a Friday night girls night and ate at the bar. Our server was lovely and we both enjoyed our entrees.

Verygood lunch stop in very nice shopping town

By Barry G |

Very good burgers and bar fare. Great location in center of high end shopping area. Very good salads recommend Caesar with salmonorchicken.

Not so good

By JulieMSR |

Have always enjoyed Marlow’s...until tonight. The filet and sides were cooked at different times, so some hot, some not. I understand this happens, but not impressed when staff does not own it. After years of enjoying this restaurant, I think they have peaked.

Great place, great food!

By Amanda P |

We both really enjoyed this place! The service was a little slow but the staff was friendly. The Blueberry Buck was spot on and the Chocolate Melting Cake was to DIE FOR!! Prices were reasonable. Lots of choices to choose from for both food and drinks. What I loved about it too is that they had a very decent sized Gluten Free menu. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for that sports bar styled restaurant.

Crowded and Busy but that says a lot about the food!

By Sheila D |

We were here with family ranging in age from 1 year to 50. We had 7 people in our party and the place was super busy, but our waitress was on top of her game! We had a lot going on at our table, but managed to have a great meal in a very nice heated patio. It was unseasonably cold the night we were there. The truffled parmesan fries were delicious, even the little kids liked them!

Great place for lunch and dinner

By Bothegr8 |

Great restaurant in Midtown. I went for lunch and had the shrimp appetizer and it was crispy with a little kick. At dinner on another occasion we ordered a burger and a black and Bleu steak salad. Both dishes were fantastic.

Great

By Nobi |

Went for lunch and it was great. Had the chicken stack and it was delicious. Our waiter (I cant remember his name. Sorry!) was fantastic and gave great recomendations.

Birthday was ruined by the smell of gas!

By PAULINE B |

I attended a birthday luncheon today and nearly passed out from the very strong smell of has! We asked to speak to the owner and he just brushed us off.

Morgan & Gabe

By Greg B |

Fish taco was excellent. All the sides were delicious Table service was quick and courteous. You must try the on tap beers.

Excellent place

By Donnie B |

The wings are the best I've had. I also recommend the bahn mi wrap. You will not go wrong giving this place a try.

A great place, just not their best day

By James D |

I was at Marlow's last Saturday evening (12/16/17) with a large party. Marlow's is a busy place so we had reservations otherwise a large would not be able to be seated together. Our waitress was pleasant and took our drink order. I got a Guinness and I must say this was an especially well poured pint! Kudos to the bartender! We then ordered dinner and it seems like it took a little while for our food to arrive. When it did one of our orders was wrong. Another of my friend's order did not arrive at all. It turned out that his order had been given to another guest instead. I assume this person ordered the same dish after my friend did. The manager did stop by to apologize for the mistake and informed my friend his meal would be on the house for the mistake. He did receive his meal shortly thereafter. I eaten here before and the food is great I just think we caught them on a bad day. We all have them. I would still recommend this restaurant. I was staying at the Regency Suites so this establishment is only a short two block walk away! Super convenient!

❤️🍑 Marlow’s Tavern

By rmebrat |

From the welcoming managers Jody and Anthony, to the amazing service with Paiven and Asaan, and let’s not forget the food that was worth coming back before we left town! Please open in Fayetteville, AR! We need you!

Good spot for quick lunch or dinner

By rapjkp |

This Resturant is close to Georgia Tech and the hotel we stay at when visiting our son at school. Great hamburgers and fries. The music always seems too loud for me but I am older. Service is usually swift and friendly. I would rate it good if that was an available rating. Very good might be a little overstated.

Great food and service

By Bonnie S |

Excellent food and service on a busy evening. Jalapeno grits side was delicious as well as the steak salad, tavern burgers and appetizers.

Great choice

By Westport76 |

Given that this is a bar scene with about a dozen TV’s on (all on silent caption, and with multiple channels) the ambiance is surprisingly pleasant. Couples, groups, and families are there. Appetizers, entrees, salads, desserts, wine, and specialty drinks all very enjoyable. Vegetable lasagna tasty and not too rich. Salmon grilled to perfection. Service was excellent - friendly, fast, and attentive. Marlow’s has my vote!

Burgers = Very Good!

By Portlander9 |

I had a burger and fries which were good. Loved the location, smack in the middle of Midtown with an option of indoor or outdoor dining. Service and ambience were good too. I would definitely recommend.

Great food, super service but loud.

By Jesse E |

We were impressed with most of what Marlow's had to offer. Seating on a busy Friday was quick. Our server er was excellent and our food was great. I had shrimp and crab nachos followed by chicken wings. Red wine was my drink of choice. My wife had a wonderful grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. She loved her meal. Portions were rather small. The restaurant was kid friendly and the kids seemed to enjoy the place. The music was really loud. That made conversation difficult. Overall it was a great dining experience.

Lunch

By Jerald White |

As usual this place does not disappoint. The most perfectly cook chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. And the inviting atmosphere we got from our server Charity and the other young lady Nicolette made it even better.

Solo visit that was an exceptional win!

By @msturg1979 |

Wow, did I pick a winner tonight while in Atlanta on business! Fantastic fish tacos (better than I’ve had on the coasts) and when God created okra, he had Marlow’s Tavern’s fried version in mind. Boy oh boy do I recommend this place. I wanted a local pub nearby (it’s pouring rain and I have no umbrella) that serves great food and craft beer. Marlow’s...wow. And Ohio’s Cofflaw Brewery’s “Basement IPA” was an excellent choice at 7.5%. So I went to the restroom before my food came, and before I finished my beer. The hostess bussed my table in the short time I was gone. She was so apologetic that she brought me another beer on the house, even those I told her the first one was almost gone. Needless to say, the service here is exceptional.

Nice trendy spot

By Tim Davidson |

We sat at the bar and were served by Jordan. Very attentive and friendly. The roasted turkey pannini was outstanding and the truffle fries were incredible.

Best burger

By travelgirljoyce |

My lunch today was good and fast best burger and service ever. Oh and the flatbread was good to. Staff was nice and helpful

Disappointing

By classydiva6886 |

I am extremely surprised at the service that I received. Heather was my server and surprisingly her attitude almost ruined my lunch. She started with a positive attitude but changed quickly when I requested a change with my food. She came over, snatched the plate with an attitude, then began to speak poorly of my guest and me to a fellow coworker. Only when she saw that I made eye contact with her(during her laughter) she came to check on our table. I am truly saddened by this and am unsure of my desire to return. I do hope that the manager has a talk with her and helps her to understand that in the service industry, your guests are ALWAYS WATCHING and LISTENING. Do better next time Heather. Rating a 2 because the food was good just poor service.

Good Wings

By Kevin B |

Had the wings for dinner. Nice and big...lightly battered. Had the buffalo sauce...not too hot. Drink prices were reasonable. Staff was also very friendly.

Great for lunch

By cmars2014 |

Had a wonderful lunch with great service and delicious food. The fig and bacon toast was so good! Only 4 pieces so you may have to fight over it! My chicken panini was wonderful. And the jalapeño corn grits were the best! Everyone in my group loved their meals also. The only negative is that the restaurant is very loud. The loud music makes it difficult to carry on a conversation. I would love to see them lower the volume just a bit. Will definitely go back.

It seems my previous visit was the Fluke. There won't be more.

By DGP1111 |

My earlier (and very honest) review of this Marlow's Tavern in January offered the highest possible rating. This more recent (and final) one was pretty much the 'polar opposite' because I have to really search for any positive things to say . . . the beer I received was cold & tasty, and the bar area where I was seated was clean on arrival. Yep, that's it. The restaurant was FAR less busy than the previous visit, with open spaces at the bar and empty tables in the dining room. I assumed this time could be even better. Nope!! There was an odd delay in getting the attention of anyone that I'd arrived, and I requested a menu and a draught beer. I was handed a menu, and then asked to repeat what beer I'd ordered. No problem. The two bartenders were completely distracted, either focused on putting up some Mardi Gras décor, or attempting to figure out where the people who'd ordered food (two plates, and later one) had gone when it was finally delivered from the kitchen. I suppose they'd given up, as I would too, but at least I paid for my beer. I decided what entree I wanted to order, and put the closed menu in front of me. I repositioned it several times to indicate I was ready to order, and then finally propped it up on its end, which couldn't be ignored. Ahh, but it could. This is when the couple a few seats to my left decided they'd had enough waiting, grabbed their jackets, and exited. By now my beer glass is empty, my menu is a 'bar teepee', and I'm fully realizing I made a bad decision of chooing Marlow's instead of the usual MidTown restaurants I routinely visit on numerous trips to Atlanta. I finally had to get the attention of one of the bartender to advise I needed to pay for my beer, and was asked if I wanted a second one. That seemed like a strange question, but I replied that I'd have certainly ordered more to go with my meal but that I couldn't place an order. Somehow ignoring the teepee menu that I'd requested from him on arrival, he said, "Oh, did you want to order something? Sorry" I closed my tab, grabbed my coat, and walked to Vortex. That's where I should have initially gone, but I hoped for a repeat enjoyable visit to Marlow's, and it was close to my hotel (Renaissance). I've seen both sides of what this restaurant is capable of, and that greatly concerns me since I'll stay at the same hotel more frequently. I will not be returning, and I can not in any way recommend this location to others. That's the way this online review thing works. You create the dining experience, and we put it into words.

A really Pleasant Surprise in Midtown

By James R |

We were staying 2 blocks away and walking the area looking for something we could agree on, so American fare it was. We walked in and were seated immediately. And our luck was great because we had Lila as a server. We are visiting from Miami Beach, and Lila just had that Southern Hospitality vibe that immediately made us feel were were in good hands. We were in the mood for burgers, and Lila suggested we upgrade to the Royale, a Waygu burger. Sure, why not? I can't believe this delicious creation was only $16. I would have paid double (don't tell the owners!). It was fantastic. Fries were crisp, and I had the cheese grit cake which was very unique and very lovely, though not waist band friendly. LIla checked on us several times, we never went without a thing. The meal was wonderful, service wonderful, and we even went back the next day for round two, requesting Lila as our server (and the restaurant obliged) and enjoyed yet another wonderful meal with impeccable service. If you're in Midtown Atlanta, so yourself a favor and give this place a try!

Great food and service

By natashay747 |

Visited this place for lunch during our visit to Atlanta. The service was great and the food was really good. Loved the fried okra!

Stopped in for a cold beer ended up eating dinner

By weechancer |

Great range of beer and food was great. Had the French dip and fries well worth trying it. Great value

Good atmosphere and attentive staff

By Doug V |

Spent the weekend in Atlanta for our anniversary and to see a ballgame. Marlow's was within walking distance from our hotel. We just wanted a quick bite. We got the cheeseburger and freedom dip sandwich. Very good. Cooked to perfection. Since it was our first visit, we were given free homemade chips with our appetizer. Would eat there again.

Fun place to hang out!

By gratitude2017 |

Amazing food and drinks, very friendly, happy atmosphere and the most fun bartenders! These guys kept me laughing and made me feel at home.

Great Lunch

By Bryan W |

My friend and I ate at Marlows on our visit to Atlanta. It was absolutely amazing. The burgers were fresh and cooked to perfection. Mine had Gorgonzola cheese and it was so good. My friends was a simple burger but was absolutely amazing. I also had the fried banana pudding. It was so yummy! My friend had the chocolate pudding. It was great, really rich but very good!

Give it a try, you will not regret it!

By Kaitlin A |

I had the opportunity to give Marlow's Tavern a try while on a business trip and I was thoroughly impressed! I will say when I first walked in the hostess made me question my decision. When I asked to sit somewhere other than where she was fixing to sit me I did not get a pleasant reaction. However, Erin, my waitress, made up for it. She was excellent. She was friendly, very polite, and welcoming. She answered my questions honestly and enthusiastically. She kept a smile on her face the entire time she was interacting with me and provided excellent service. I got the Grilled Center Cut Filet and it was delicious. I was surprised when the plate came out and there were two filets on the plate, usually for $23.50 you would only get one. The Tomato & Broccoli Pie was different, but it was nice to try. The Sauteed Spinach was some of the best spinach I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot of spinach. The Wild Mushroom Jus complimented the meal very well and made a delicious steak that much better. I plan on visiting again soon! I would give it a try if you're in the area or just looking for something different to try. I think it is worth it!

Nice restaurant with good food

We all enjoyed the food here and the service was very professional. It was a very relaxing atmosphere with fast service.

Amazing Service and Food!

By OceanloverCasper_Wy |

We were a group of 12 in town for the Orange Conference and ate here two nights in a row!! The food was great but the service was amazing! They were so accommodating and friendly!! Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome!!

Great Restaurant

By Ashley S |

We visited Marlows Tavern with another couple after the Peach Bowl after realizing many places weren’t open on New Years Day. We are SO glad we visited because the food was absolutely phenomenal! Our waiter wasn’t the friendliest, but other than that it was excellent. Highly recommend!

Great services/interesting menu

By Cathe O |

While in Atlanta on business, hotel staff recommended this to us for lunch and we were very happy. What really stood out was the super-friendly server who explained the menu and made recommendations. The food was delicious, though rich--but we are in the south after all. Really enjoyed our lunch and would definitely go back.

Terrific meal and a bonus gift

By hobbes63069 |

We were staying at the nearby Regency Suites and they gave us free dinner vouchers to this place. What a deal - and what a great meal! Friendly staff and good food with good beer. How can you go wrong? Try the smoked trout spread and the scallops. Both were great.

Excellent Service & Food

By Mrs. Britt |

Another go to spot for me when I crave an awesome House Made Black Bean Burger. Sitting at the bar is my go to because of faster service. Not only do the bartenders (today I had Patty) introduce themselves by name but they also ask yours and offer a handshake! In my world that's top notch service! Today I chose to opt out of having French fries with my veggie burger and ordered chickpea fries instead. Let me just say this... These fries are EVERYTHING!! I can't even believe I've never ordered them but I'll definitely have them again and again. Although I had to make constant eye contact with Patty to get her to check on me, she was overall ok. The place was busy and she appeared to be the only bartender working. I would recommend the visit if you're on this side of town.

Excellent Choice for Midtown Atlanta

By Marie C |

This restaurant was recommended to us by Georgia Tech's Admissions' rep and we were very happy we chose it. The menu has many interesting choices, the atmosphere is fun and the Southern hospitality of Parks our waiter and Ken the chef (who visited our table to make sure we were satisfied) made us feel very welcome. We had the kettle chips appetizer, the shrimp and grits, and the black and blue burger. All dishes were excellent. If we come back to Atlanta we will visit it again!

Entered just for a beer. But we got very tasty welcome starter.

By Martin59872 |

We entered the tavern to drink some beer. We got a warm welcome. They have a lot good beers. Than we got a starter from the house. Very nice. I will go there again. The server ... Very friendly. Good.

Marlowe's does it right

By Gumball4 |

The atmosphere is pub-typical and not too noisy. The menu has good variety. The meals were tasty and nicely prepared. The staff were so pleasant and worked to make sure we felt welcome, appreciated and satisfied.

Awesome food awesome service.

By Jerald White |

I stop in for lunch and OMG this place did not disappoint the food was awesome the chicken sandwich I ate was seasoned and cook to perfection. And our server Dhamir is awesome at his job best server we had on this trip. . But somebody needs to fix that drop ceiling and a/c vents above the expo line. I’m not sure if that is safe. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Excellent Eclectic Menu

By Terri M |

I found Marlow’s by doing a search for restaurants near me. Very nice place with an interesting menu. They have some unique starters and for the table options. I opted fir the Prime Rib French Dip with fries. This sandwich melted in my mouth. It had wonderful flavor and the caramelized onions added to it. My husband had the Royals with Cheese. It had Wagyu beef and was tender and delicious. Prices were a bit steep, but the food was worth it. 2 entrees and 2 drinks came to $51. I’d still recommend eating here as there are items on their menu I’ve never seen before.

Nice Atmosphere

By tikad01 |

The food was just okay... The service was excellent! We did experience a wait. The menu was very limited.

Good Food, Service just okay

By Melissa M |

Pleasant atmosphere and good food. Service was not really up to par and the other servers pass you by and don't help out. Everyone seemed only concerned with their tables.

Crowded and good

By 4Scnana |

Crab cake was great. Salad huge. Nice wine list by the glass. Good parking in the lot behind building. I recommended to my friends who went last week.

Needed a restaurant with in walking distance of our hotel.

By DCMRDH1979 |

Found this restaurant on my iPhone maps. Walking distance was just right. We were early so no waiting for a table. We were greeted right away by the manager who seated us. We were treated to the house special appetizer (kettle chip nachos). Excellent choice! We planned to order it anyway but even sweeter to be complementary. Our server found out we were from out of town but treated us like family. I especially loved the fried okra as well. I would recommend visiting this restaurant. Standard pub food with nice atmosphere. Moderately priced.

Nice meal in a fun bar/grill atmosphere

By Blaine |

We were from out of town and had this place recommended to us. Good location near GA Tech. Great food - try the burgers. Would recommend Marlow’s to anyone looking for casual dining.

Great food.

By TammyC24 |

The food was delicious. Husband and son loved the Duck Spring Rolls. The Truffle Fries were fantastic. Not enough of them though. They were presented in a wired cone shape holder. I got a Black and Blue Burger. I was skeptical as I don’t like Bleu Cheese. Our server, Cole, assured me it tasted nothing like that. And he was correct. Son enjoyed his grouper sandwich. DIL was very pleased with her Chicken Panini. We left with full bellies. There isn’t a lot of parking as this is in a small strip mall so I’m sure there is little parking during the day. Will definitely go back if we are the area. You can download their app and you’ll get $10 off your meal.

Good place for a meal

By James D |

Ate here yesterday. Very good food and the service was great. I had a chicken club which was very tasty. I’ve eaten here every time I visit Atlanta and it’s one of my favorite places in Midtown.

Good before an evening out

By Ry A |

Marlow's has become my "usual" beofe taking in a show at the Fox or with the ASO. Easy parking on the street or free parking in the deck behind the restaurant. Cady gave excellent service to us the other night!

Good eats for its type

By danilom001 |

Good atmosphere, good service. We went there a party of five people on Dec-8-2018. I am not sure what location it was; all I know it was near Emory University. We had a booth and celebrate a family reunion. It was raining and most restaurants in town were full and with a long waiting time; this one had place, was affordable, and we sat there for a long while. Thanks!! Although I am not a fan for this type of food, I have to admit that my plain hamburger was awesome, my wife salmon was exquisite, my cousin lasagna was spectacular, and my cousins didn't complain about their burgers with gorgonzola cheese and bacon (not to my taste). We had a good time in a very friendly and unobtrusive atmosphere. Thanks again.

Unexpected nice surprise

By Toyo3 |

Bar food may sound not too enticing. In fact nothing in the menu seemed particularly special yet the ratings were very high and decided to give it a try. Wow. We ordered grits and shrimp, truffle fries, fish and French dip sandwich and all of them were great !! Service was excellent. They don’t take reservations so be there early especially on busy weekends.

Enjoyable, versatile

By lois k |

Been going to Marlow’s for years - mostly in Duluth. Most staff in midtown super friendly Really great for hanging with friends or colleagues. Good appetizers especially truffle fries, fried asparagus and grilled artichoke - white sangria is lovely Wish they did not change the menu to add fruit or something sweet into the salads. Don’t need it .. spoils what is a great black and blue salad.

A must for good food

By Rob4Patti |

We were surprised to get into this place. We forgot it was Mother’s Day. We could have ordered off the menu which had a very nice selection or for Mother’s Day they had a very big brunch. We chose the brunch it was hot, fresh and delicious. We were there at 1 pm and the food did not seem like it’s been sitting out all day. Steak tips oh my goodness were so delicious. I could eat those all day. Staff constantly checking on freshness of food. Great waitstaff, friendly people.

Friday Night Dinner

By Travelfar222 |

This is a great place for a cold draft beer and flat bread pizza. They also have great fried okra as well. I've eaten at the Duluth location several times over the past 7 years since living in Atlanta. The staff is great and everything I've ever ordered here has been great!

Awesome steak!

By travelgal1994 |

Recommended by guy at hotel easy walk good menu! Loved the atmosphere! Service was average not special...seems one can’t just enjoy good food and friends but not worthy of good service if not drinking! The food s excellent!!

Excellent preparation

By girigamba |

Service: Friendly, competent, speedy. Atmosphere: nice lighting, but tables a bit sticky/tacky- need updated. Food prep: Excellent presentation, wonderful flavors. Food quality: High Wine choices: Pretty good! Overall, would come again!

Good option for Georgia Tech area

By Adam L |

A welcome change from the Varsity (don't get me wrong, I like it, but the world needs some variety) and easily accessible from the Georgia Tech area. The royale burger is a very, very good burger. Even those in our group who tried the veggie burger were impressed. Most impressive was the service that competently handled our relatively large order at 9 p.m. on a random Tuesday night. We didn't get to spend very long there, so can't speak reliably to the atmosphere, but the food was quality.

Brunch Fail

By Brunchgirlz |

For the $20 cost of brunch, it was not very good. $4.00 for a bitter cup of coffee and at 11:30am most of the items not on the buffet table. Cream Brulee was burned not a burnt topping, watery eggs. I tried almost everything and it was just not impressive! Service was a bit salty attitude when asked if mimosa were included -just a question. Really like the regular meal time, but will pass on Sunday Brunch.

Disapointing

By dwilli3038 |

Tavern with our car club. We had a reserved room and they knew how many people were coming. The service was slow and to took an hour after the food was ordered for ours to arrive. They did not even bring all the food for our table of 9 at the same time. Most people at our table were done eating before the last order arrives. The food was not great.

Decent pub food in midtown Atlanta

By Doughbuy |

Marlow's tavern is a fairly chill and busy spot right in the middle of midtown Atlanta. It's located within walking distance of a number of other restaurants, businesses, and residences. We came here with a group of 20 people or so and had a great time. We were divided into 2 large tables next to each other, it didn't look like there was any space available that could have fit all of us in 1 table. The waitress came by often to take our food and drink orders and check in on us. Best part is that even with such a large group, we never felt like the waitress dropped the ball or we had to wait excessively for food/drinks. We had a variety of appetizers, the ones I tried were the buts, chicken wings and the truffled parmesan fries. The chicken wings were good, nothing out of the world but fried well with good flavor (the gorgonzola dip was very delish). The fries were ok, nothing to write home about. The nuts were good, but probably nothing you can't get at a decent grocery store. I got the filet, and it was mediocre. It was seasoned well enough and the sauce reduction was good, but it wasn't as tender as I hoped for. The parsnip bread budding was good, and so was the asparagus as well. Beers were good... came old and delicious so can't go wrong there.

Loved the burgers and casual ambiance

By Alena&Steve |

Good wine/beer list and good casual vibe. loved the burgers supplemented by reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Good Variety

I am not usually a "chain" kind of guy, but Marlow's is good food, has a good variety and typically pretty good service.

Good Pub!

By Tom P |

Service was great, greeted at the door and our waitress was pleasant and efficient. Plenty of choices for a pub menu, this is more an upscale pub so quality is way above bar food! Nice atmosphere and good for groups of all sizes. Short drive from downtown hotels.

Good food for every taste!

I've been to 3 different Marlow's and they are all top notch! Love the Salmon & the Fish Tacos!! The servers are great! They know their menu backwards & forwards! Great service!

Recent Dinner at Marlow's Tavern in Atlanta

By John Lee |

I recently had dinner with some colleagues at Marlow's Tavern while in Atlanta, Georgia. They have a good beer and wine list and the service is very good. I had the chopped Caesar Salad, which was excellent, and the grilled Atlantic salmon, which was served with jumbo cous cous (broccoli, carrot, red onion, golden raisin, parsley, almond) and a port wine reduction, which was fabulous. My colleagues had the scallops dish, which they said was excellent. All in all, an excellent experience.

always good

By rxk612 |

'm a big fan of marlow's. it's my neighborhood go-to place. the food is always excellent and very reasonably priced. there's a decent selection of beer and the wines and cocktails are pretty good. the shrimp and grits is out of this world good, as is the royale with cheese (wagyu double cheeseburger), when it's on the menu. the burgers are generally excellent and the asian salads tend to be a favorite too. french dip is super tasty. for sides, my favorites are okra and grits. truffle fries are awesome too. really, hard to go wrong with the food in this place. service can be spotty in terms of execution sometimes but it is always friendly

Only visited the bar on this first-ever visit, and they HIGHLY impressed.

By DGP1111 |

Although I frequent Atlanta, and always do a MARTA stop at the Midtown Station, this past weekend was the first time I knew this Marlow's Tavern existied, as I generally head the oposite direction. Although I don't regularly visit the Orlando location, it always is a welcoming atmosphere at the bar, and I hoped for the same here . . and did they ever deliver! Greeted with big smile and offer for assistance the moment I was seated. I only ordered a light appetizer and two beers, but I slowed the pace to enjoy simply being here, and meeting the servers and fellow bar patrons. Everyone seemed in a good mood, and rightfully so. I know I will return, and can easily recommend for others to visit and try it out themselves. Thanks for the experience, Marlow's!!!

Just ok

By J147FNmicheller |

I don’t understand the hype. Just basic food. Would not make the trip again. It was not worth the drive to get there. It is not easily visible or accessible.

Fancy pub grub

By Nigel O |

Upmarket bar restaurant with similar optics to a chili’s etc. good service and menu with reasonable prices, good sized portions. Burgers were good as were the shrimp and grits. Could use some more beers on tap.

Great burgers

By MaKenzie2 |

The blackberry mojitos were delicious. We all got different burgers that were all great, they even had a vegan option for one of our friends! Service was good.

So good every time!

By Kellie G |

I love a good tavern burger and Marlow’s never disappoints! Delicious and full of flavor. One of our go to’s for sure.

The most tiny portions you will ever see!

By Big Al |

I visited their Oviedo Fl. restaurant with three friends celebrating one's birthday. Three of us ordered the steak with green beans and potatoes. When we were served our order, the portions were so small, it looked like a children's plate! The two steak pieces were tiny, I counted about 10 very small green beans and just a couple of small chunks of potatoes. Needless to say, all three of us left the restaurant still hungry! Only the one friend who ordered a burger received something that was of average size. The food was very good, I'll give them that credit. But for the money we spent, we would of been better off going to Texas Road House, paid the same price and all of us would of walked out with our stomachs full. We will not be returning to any Marlow's Tavern again.

Ok experience

By Jennifer R |

Slow service! Didn’t listen to our orders! Food was good! But no one came back to check on you, good came out wrong, if you have a good allergy ask what is in everything. Wouldn’t go back

Sunday Brunch

Great selections for Sunday Brunch. Coffee is just delicious. My wife is a tea person and she is very impressed with the selections. The food is always served hot and very tasty.

Good food variations for family evening out

By Verdi A |

Took our daughter to dine who was visiting on business in Atlanta. We had the grandkids with us and had a great time. Our waiter was friendly, profesional and great with the kids and really all of us. He explained the menu to the grandkids with patience and humor. Our drinks were served promptly and our food arrived within a reasonable time. Our selection were well presented, and delicious to boot. We all shared a desert and our daughter who that day was celebrating her birthday got her own choice of desert. We sang her a happy birthday and we even stayed to talk without being pressured to leave. The only thing we did not like was the loud music in the restaurant which forced us to talk a bit louder. Overall it was a great evening.

Tiny portions

By davidloew |

The place got good reviews so I am surprised. The fried chicken, mashed potatoes and spinach was probably the smallest portion of food I have ever seen. The burgers looked good. Shoulda gotten that. The waitresses took something off the bill because she realized the portion was tiny. Nice staff. But really ... I am still hungry.

Good Lunch Spot, Nice Dinners Too

By Chia404 |

I've had a few lunch meetings here and it's a nice break from the usual fast food around the area when making a quick escape from work. The burgers are decent, the fish is pretty good, decent drink selection. Service seemed good. Really can't go wrong here.

Another Great Visit!

By Cincybearcatfan |

Not only was service excellent after being quickly seated, but the beers were iced cold and the Daily Feature entree, Drunken Salmon, was superb! What!?! How can a salmon dish be that good in a neighborhood bar, your asking? Trust me, it is. A 6 oz piece of cooked to order blackened salmon over a plate of hot, creamy, jalapeño corn grits, topped with kale sautéed in garlic, drizzled with Makers Mark BBQ sauce and topped in to die for crispy fried potato strings. That was smack my face and bring me back to reality delicious! My attentive server, Lauren, was fantastic. You can’t go wrong here.

Surprisingly Excellent - and Interesting - Food

By Michael S |

Marlows was a very pleasant surprise - I and my wife were in town for a wedding, our hotel gave us a list of eateries we could walk to and chose this pub. Surprise - excellent food, fresh and properly prepared. I had fish tacos - tilapia - had the right mix of everything. My wife had a big salad with chicken. The real surprise was the chick pea french fries - very, very good - they are called that on the menu, their real name is panisse, a common item found in southern France, our waiter was unaware of their real name. They came with an excellent garlic aioli. Service was good, the tab very reasonable. And the place was quite busy it felt like a go to pub for locals. Five stars for being a cut above the typical pub/local eatery.

Best Tavern Food in the ATL

By ATLconsultant |

Marlow's is actually more than just tavern food. They elevate pedestrian tavern food. My favorites: any sandwich with the fried okra. The okra is fried whole and it is the best fried okra you'll ever eat. Count on it. We usually get the italian grilled chicken panini with it. My favorite entree is the shrimp and grits. The star is the grit cake here -- and the sauce. A nice helping of sauteed garlic spinach definitely helps. My only - minor - gripe with this dish is i'd like to see it with like 4 large shrimp instead of a lot of tiny shrimp. Service and atmosphere always great here too.

Good food and excellent service

By Tonya A |

We were in town for a quick Ikea trip weekend -- staying in Midtown. Saw good reviews for Marlow's and decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The wings were especially good because of the gorgonzola dressing that came with them. The manager even brought out some homemade chips on the house since we were first time visitors. Overall, a great experience. I definitely recommend it if you're in the Midtown area.

Better than average straight-ahead sports bar

By thewestchestarian |

In combination with local Atlanta beer, Marlow's offers the regular collection of trendy bar food such as truffle fries and trout dip (it's better than it sounds). Dark wood and multiple TV's complete the traditional sports bar experience. The well-located property offers friendly and, mostly, expeditious service. In short, a great choice if you are looking to watch the big game with like-minded fellows.

Tasty

By suz |

A lovely lunch with selections from a large menu proved delicious. The servers were helpful and professional. The food was tasty and we both agreed to return. Nice, clean, affordable restaurant.

Great atmosphere!

By Everywhere is on the list… |

Came here with friends on a Friday afternoon and we had a hoot. Great drinks and cocktail menu. Super service… very attentive. We ordered snacks for the table which where tasty. Great atmosphere; buzzing but not noisy or over crowded

Wonderful food and experience

By Andreal H |

My family and I visited Atlanta recently and stopped by Marlow's Tavern on W Peachtree and I must say we had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding, the food was great and we will definitely eat here in the future. If in the area, I would suggest stopping by!

Good food with long wait

By CTgirl66 |

Arrived around 8:30 on a recent Friday night and was promptly seated. The server was very friendly and explained the menu. When he learned it was our first time to Marlow's we received free chips. The food and drinks all tasted good but it took a long time for everything to come out. I thought this was surprising given the size of the restaurant and time of day.

Good but not great pub food

By David M |

Located in the Georgia Tech area and easy to find on a street with many restaurants and reasonable parking. Atmosphere and service nice. Good place to get caught up with old friends. Not a college hangout. Wine and beer selection good. Overall, good, but just above average in my opinion. A good place for variety and common pub grub. Tavern burger and Cobb BBQ wrap were good and reasonably priced. Would tend to stay away from the more “upscale” pub food like the ahi salad and the Wagyu burger. The first was bland, the latter was over-seasoned and with the bread, 2 thin patties and cheese just took away from the quality meat. Sides were fair, but good variety. Never felt rushed. Would go back, but would not go out of my way to visit.

Excellent fish

By Lucy P |

Ate here twice on a recent business trip to Atlanta. In spite of having a restricted diet, I had two excellent meals, blackened salmon and mahi mahi, with a really nice composed salad. Great service, pleasant atmosphere, convenient location.

Delicious

By Rachel Lee |

I was on a business trip with a colleague and we checked this place out and were pleasantly surprised!! They have very friendly staff, cool indoor outdoor seating and delicious menu! We had never been here before so the waitress brought us something out super special and we were in heaven (i would share but it would ruin the surprise and fun). We also got the asparagus fries to share, and I had the fish tacos which were reallllly good! Coming from living on the water and knowing a good taco these were definitely are up to par! The fried ocra on the side was delicious too!!!! Must stop here if you are coming to Atlanta everything was better than could have imagined!

Great place

By Donna 441 |

The staff, food, prices, location....are great! Must try the chick pea fries and the burgers and the fish tacos and, and, and. This restaurant is well managed, clean, energetic!

Good portions, great ambiance, awesome service.

By ANDRE TS1966 |

We had a very good time at Marlow's close to Emory University. We arrived late and we were the last patrons before they close. Service was awesome and food very good. I had a burger that was pretty decent.

Nice Dinner Place

By 406Foodie |

My wife and I stopped in for dinner. The service was outstanding. They have a great beer selection. I had the prime rib french dip and it was delicious. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly with great flavor. My wife loved her Asian chicken salad. The chocolate pudding for dessert was incredible. A unique dessert dish definitely worth trying. Highly recommend this place.

Great place to meet up for lunch or dinner!

By dhenley40 |

Walked upon this restaurant with a large party on a Saturday afternoon and was immediately offfered seating. Service was great, food was great and served in a timely fashion. Manager came out and asked about our meals. All was great! Highly recommend!

Awesome visit!!

By Sandra B |

The service here was quick and friendly. The food was awesome! We got the wings, the flatbread of the day(spinach, steak, grilled onions, mozzarella and red sauce), the tavern burger and 2 kids meals (pizza and little burgers). Everything was SO delicious! The burger was most definitely the star of the show! The tomato bacon jam was awesome! Reasonable priced, $70 in including tip for family of 5.

Family time

By Michelle N |

We were seated right away on a Saturday night! That is always a plus! The waiter was attentive. The food was amazing! My dish came out a few minutes after everyone else's but the chef brought it to me and apologized for the delay. He said it didn't plate well the first time and he wouldn't send it out less than perfect! It was the best chicken I have ever had (Roast Chicken Stack)!! My only complaint would be the Caesar salad my daughter had, didn't have much dressing on it. It was a little bland. We will definitely go back! I think that it is cool that they are ecofriendly and do not offer straws. They have a card on the table explaining why. We found out after we left that they have another location close to the hotel we usually stay at when in town. We will try that location next time since we won't have to worry with downtown Atlanta traffic.

Not Up to Its Ranking

By ATL_Jacket |

I recently visited Marlow's after hearing good things. I wasn't very impressed. Even though the restaurant was mostly empty on a Sunday evening, it took a few minutes for the host to walk up and seat me. My waiter was weird and frenetic, spending several uncomfortable minutes talking about the menu before taking my drink order. He strongly recommended the special, a brisket sandwich, which I ended up ordering. It ended up being much too sweet and pretty mediocre. The fries were very greasy too. The waiter didn't really check on me as I ate. Also, it turned out my "Dr Pepper" from the menu was actually Mr Pibb. Lying about that on the menu was just bizarre. Overall, this is an unimpressive chain with absent management.

Fun evening at the bar

By Karen C |

Friendly, lively atmosphere. The place was bustling but the service was quick and efficient. Great eats. We shared three different items, wings (great) truffle fries (some of the best I have had) and Ahi poke (awesome). Drinks were creative and yummy. Go for sure.

Asked at reception for a good restaurant to go to and Marlowe's was the one suggested. A lively sports bar it was already bustling with activity at 7pm. Quickly shown to a booth and a cheerful waitress took our order. Can't recall exactly what it was listed as but we both had delicious steak perfectly cooked with a fabulous sauce and hand cut fries - simple but one of the best meals we've had in a while. Dessert was a chocolate brownie - again delicious! Would definitely go there again.

Good grits

By Asananez |

Had the shrimp and grits, which was well put together. Grits are made polenta style, with good flavor and crispy crust. Shrimp could have been larger... but flavor was good. Worth going back to try other dishes.

Late lunch

By Mer21maid |

The crab cake with horseradish was good with a lot of crab meat. The Cesar salad was good, but nothing like a Cesar salad? The ahi tuna poke with fried wantons was ok; however the tuna was not the best quality or could have been cut otherwise to avoid non-tender meat. I do not understand the high ratings of this place, but probably just me?

Afer match dinner

By Terri L |

The front desk staff at our hotel recommended this restaurant after we watched Atlanta United play. It was crowded and we had a wait, but based on the crowds, our wait wasn't that long. Our waiter came promptly, took our drink and food orders. The food seemed to take a long time to arrive, and our waiter apologized for the delay, as the kitchen was getting backed up. We weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a problem. We had the chicken wings for an appetizer, cooked extra crispy per my husband's request, and they were very tasty. He had the royale burger, while I chose a salad with grilled chicken. The portions were large and flavorful. Given its location, variety of menu options, and price point for the portions, we would definitely return!

Dinner

By Cynthia N |

Great atmosphere and wonderful staff! The hotel staff recommended this restaurant/tavern to me and it didn't disappoint. I had the French Dip sandwich with a side salad. Not sure which was better, the actual sandwich or the salad with apples and nuts. I would definitely stop in here again.

A really nice dinner

Marrow’ is a great tavern with a great staff. The ambiance is excellent and so is the food and drink. I stopped by while on a biz trip, and it was a great choice.

Great food - very upscale/comtemporary

By traveler7895 |

My 16 yr old son and I were visiting town and went to dinner based off just a google search of restaurants near by. We lucked out. Don't let the $$ scare you. He had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap (loved it) and I had the Black & Blue Burger (delicious). We would have eaten for under $25. I did think the Peach Margarita was a bit overpriced for the size of the drink. The staff was super friendly but not annoyingly so. Since it was our first time, they comped us the JT Kettle chips as an appetizer. Oh. My. Lord. Kettle chips covered with Gorgonzola cheese and bacon. You will go just for these chips. The music is a bit loud when you walk in but they address that on the menu, "it's just the level we like it", lol. But seriously, if you don't want loud music, you won't be comfortable. Although, while we still have to speak a bit loud to each other, it sort of became background music. Certainly appropriate for all ages - not bar like at all, if you happen to have the kids with you.

Consistently Excellent

When in town on business, I bring customers here for terrific quality food, service, atmosphere and pricing.

Top Notch Experience, worthy of a return visit

By Sheila C |

I ate at Marlow's with friends on Sunday afternoon. Right off the bat, we got rock star parking in a space directly in front of the restaurant! Score! It was a little late for lunch, and a little early for dinner, so the place wasn't crowded but they still had a few customers in there. A friendly bartender greeted us as we walked through the door, and within a minute we were seated in a roomy booth. Our server was very sweet and knowledgeable, and when she found out that it was our first visit to Marlow's, she took a few minutes to acquaint us with the menu, even pointing out that we could find the sides printed "down the side" of the menu - cute! The staff really did this right. We were served our drinks, and a few minutes later, the manager came out with a complementary appetizer - he had found out it was our first visit and he wanted us to feel welcome and enjoy one of the house specialties! So the chips and gorgonzola dressing were excellent! A few minutes later, an entirely new server approached us with a tray of drinks identical to the ones we already had, informing us that the bartender had bought us a round to welcome us. She even sent a drink for the one of us who had not ordered! Our food was excellent! The chicken panini was huge and the side of fries plentiful. The french dip was quite good, and while the side of fruit was nothing outrageously special, it was crisp and delicious. And the black and blue steak salad was a winner, with the same homemade gorgonzola dressing on greens on a bed of sliced tomatoes, the steak cooked to perfection. We did notice that the menu was quite varied, with a little something for everyone, and the prices were quite reasonable, especially considering that it was Atlanta! The atmosphere was welcoming, not too loud in the middle of the day, and the restaurant seemed very clean, with plenty of staff working. One of the things that impressed us the most were the restrooms, actually. Yes, they had a men's and a ladies', and then just around the corner were several more doors labeled for anyone, so you didn't feel you had to stand in line waiting behind someone, and the rooms were clean and well-supplied. I don't get to Atlanta often, but you can bet that I'll be recommending this restaurant to my Atlanta friends, and when I do get back there, guess where I'll make a point of visiting again?

Great experience!

Nice Restaurant for Family

By Achilles88 |

Good place to take the family. They sat us late after we could not find other places to eat and the food and service was great. Nice little gem that we probably would have overlooked by mistaking it to be exclusively a bar. Would come here again.

Excellent lunch, food and service appreciated

By Familydream |

Surprisingly uncrowded on a Saturday afternoon, our party of seven was seated immediately. Brandon gave us excellent service, helping us choose entrees everyone loved. The vegans in our family had very limited options, but the black bean burger was delicious and the hummus beautifully presented. Shrimp and grits were outstanding, and the shrimp and crab nachos were exactly what I'd hoped. The chicken pannini was also delicious. Serving sizes were generous, but we were hungry so mostly finished our meals.

Shrimp & Grits - Nice bartender!

By DrDianeLynn |

I arrived into Emory Conference Center and did not want to eat at the hotel so I walked over to Marlow's. The shrimp and grits were very good. They had good beer on tap and I sat at the bar and the bartender was lovely

Great gluten free options!

By Joanne P |

We were in town for the Peach Bowl. Stopped in for a quick bite after the game. It was crowded but they sat us as soon as they were able. Food was terrific, something for everyone. I have Celiac disease so must have gluten free food.........had several options for me. Left very satisfied. I couldn't find any mention of GF options on the menu on the website.......would advise you add it as there are some of us out there who require it. This place was a great find for me. Would return in a heart beat!

Shrimp and Grits!!!

By pat l |

This place was great! The accommodated our large group without reservations on a weeknight and our server was just wonderful. He was willing to split the check, change the sides, cook it differently - whatever we wanted. We had a lovely time just sitting and chatting and no one had any complaints about their food. But the shrimp and grits was amazing! I did get my grits creamy rather than the grits cake like the come, but it was just delicious.

Very good burger!

I’m in ATL on business and decided to go to Marlow’s for dinner. This was my first visit and I had a great experience. I sat at the bar and was immediately and warmly greeted by Daniel, who was working this evening with his wife Cady. Both Daniel and Cady were attentive and ensured I well taken care of. The food was also very good. I had the fillet with a delicious couscous side that had grapes in it. The fillet was good but I have to say, the couscous dish stole the show! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of good food and service in Atlanta.

Drinkers beware

By Nicholas R |

I will never return to this place. So I was at dinner last night with some friends and I asked for my normal markers mark Manhattan straight up. It came to the table quickly but I noticed it was in a dirty glass. Not only did it have some leftover lipstick from some random woman (I'm male BTW) but it had spots on the glass. So I told the server and gm she quickly took the glass back to the bar. My friends and I watched the bartender pout that drink into a "clean" glass . Not only because I'm a nurse do I know bacteria can still be transferred but as a customer I thought it was a mess. We called the manager over and he seemed to belittle us just repeating everything we said. Anyway we left and will never return. I'm not saying don't eat or drink there I'm just saying watch how everything's prepared.

Place was always busy, great for the evening

By Renato S |

Marlow's was beside the hotel I was staying, so I ended up there twice in a week, Both times the place was packed, service was great, and there is a little of everything in the menu to choose from. The prime rib french dip sandwich is worth a try, delicious.

Good Place for Lunch in Midtown

By Cynthia B |

Marlowe's is conveniently located in the same block as a parking garage. I joined my group late, so I personally did not have to wait for a table. They did, but it was a group of 11 people. The staff was friendly, and tried to keep everyone happy. I ordered after the rest of my group, so my lunch came out later. The food was good, and freshly prepared. I had a chicken wrap with fried okra on the side. The okra was whole and fried! Very unusual, but good. I wouldn't want it every day, and everyone else said they have only ever seen that once before. Several people said the burgers were great! At checkout time I was still finishing my wrap. I sent my cash payment with a server, continuing to eat. As I finished and stood up I still had not received my change. It was more than a 20% tip, so naturally I expected the cash change. I told my group leader and my waitress that I was waiting for change. No one said the large group warranted more than a 20% gratuity. Well, to end a long story, we had to leave to make our appt., and my change never came. I am disappointed. I am not factoring that in the other part of this review.

Superfriendly service, and good food

By UE_DC64 |

The service is fast and super friendly, and generous.we really felt welcomed and well attended to. We were not very hungry so a few starters and main courses. The hummus starter and the fries were very good. We also loved the fish tacos. The portions are quite large and very nicely presented.

Cute ambiance! Order Communication fail

By kreed319 |

I don't get downtown that often on a Saturday night, but I did for my lovely cousins 34th B Day dinner... Marlows had a nice ambiance and average cocktails(moscow mule could have been a tad stronger with less ice).. My concern was the birthday Girl had to return her burnt burger twice. And then after the 2nd return, the waitress never returned with a new burger. After asking, "excuse me where's my food"? The waitress said she didnt realize my cousin wanted a new burger. Finally my Cousin said " forget it. " I dont want it anymore. The manager was asked to come to the table and did accomodate with a to-go meal, but that was just too little too late. Sorry. I wanted to return here but eehh. If you go, make sure the waitress repeats the order or request back to you each time they leave the table. Good Luck!

Good service

By ginamiller0763 |

Went here for a business dinner - just wanted something casual. I had the black bean burger and it was pretty good. The truffle Parmesan fries were pretty good as well - but weren’t that hot. Drink refills were fast and the food didn’t seem to take long. Oh - we also had the kettle chips covered in cheese and they were our favorite!

A fun place to eat & drink

By Barefoot29 |

This is what a tavern should be. Many of our local politicians eat here during the week. Why? because the food is good and the location is excellent. The menu has something for everyone. I didn't like the parking meters to park though. I suppose you could park in the Publix garage and buy something then walk around the corner and have lunch/dinner. I'm sure I"m not the only one who has thought of that. LOL

Asparagus fries are awesome (even fried Asparagus makes your pee smell). Our waiter Dhamier was excellent. He praised all the dishes and knew what to recommend. Enter Marlowe's hungry and thirsty - leave satisfied with a smile on your face!

By Phillip R |

I think of Marlowe's as one of Tucker's gastronomic gems. The menu consists of a vast array of food options, most of which one could probably find in other similar establishments, but each one crafted with signature distinction. It's easy to tell that the folks who put this menu together knew how to feed people good food at reasonble prices. It's tavern food, and therefore not a menu that would win food awards, but it's tasty, consistently prepared and the type of food that pairs well with cocktails and a comfortable, laid back evening. And, it happens to be one of the few places left that not only offers a French Dip sandwich, but also knows how-to make it the way its supposed to be made - with real, thinly-sliced roasted prime rib served on a fabulous piece of bread! The second best thing about Marlowe's is the service. The staff is friendly, well-trained and damn good at their jobs. Servers, hosts and bartenders are all top notch! If you dine at Marlowe's and leave dissatisfied with the food, service or atmosphere, the odds are that you're just one of those people who can't be satisfied with anything anyway. It's just damn near impossible to have a bad dining experience here! Give the place a try, and see if I'm not right!

Lively Atmosphere

Visit weekly to this networking and after work very loud and lively bar/restaurant... The staff is friendly, the food is "okay" but the drinks are good!

Slow service and mediocre food.

We went for dinner close to 9 pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant had people in it, but was not overly crowded. The good - the appetizers (asparagus fries and spicy shrimp) were delicious. The bad - the main entrees were pretty bad. The tuna in the ahi tuna salad was inedible (2 people got it) and I can eat just about everything. The burger was hard around the edges. (2 people got it) and the fries were super salty. It was very slow to get our food.

Great Food

This restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We ate outside on the terrace. It had some interesting food that you don't see all the time, and very tasty.

Casual, noisy, friendly place with good food.

Casual, noisy, friendly place with good food. We sat in a booth. We split a starter of brief fondu, which was rich and tasty. My burger Royal with cheese was delicious. The fish tacos were good too. Four people for about $125. We had a good time. But it is noisy so not easy to have conversations if the group is bigger. They have outdoor seating but it was too cold that evening.

Great place

This is a great place to eat. My husband and I had an anniversary dinner here. The service was fantastic. The server was patient and very informative. The shrimp and crap nachos are absolutely wonderful (will definitely be back for those). This is a fantastic restaurant with a very relaxing atmosphere.

Steak Salad with Gorgonzola

I stepped into Marlow's Tavern on a whim, passing it as I was shopping around the area. The atmosphere was amazing, the wine selection was nice but the bartender really made the impression. She was spot-on with her recommendation of the steak salad and very pleasant to converse with. I'll definitely be returning.

An amazing last meal in Atlanta thanks to Josh and the staff.

An amazing last meal in Atlanta thanks to Josh and the staff. Was in town for three days had great food but the service here really capped off our trip since they found out it was our first time complementary homemade cheese nachos. Josh thoroughly went over the menu and based on his recommendations we have the brisket sandwich, the French dip, Caesar salad, and the asparagus fries. All of the food was great. We will definitely be back and when we go again, ask for Josh.
