Watching the world go by

By LatteQueen |

Found this as wandering around and had brunch. Portions huge and had to leave a round of my French toast ( I usually eat a lot!) food was great lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by. Service a little slow but food was freshly cooked.

Best Breakfast in Town

By Adam R |

We were in LA for a few days and were disappointed with most of the breakfast options... that is until we found Marmalade. Ignore the decor - the food speaks for itself.

Delicious! Awesome atmosphere lively staff

By Dana D |

We had a lovely dinner. I had the snapper & my sister had the prawn garlic Linguini. Table bread was fresh and hot! Both tasted amazing!! We had a cocktail each, I had a berry mojito and my sisters was the mango mojito!! So good!! Shannon was a great waitress, very friendly looked after us well and we felt very welcome. The total atmosphere was great! We sat outside. The weather was nice and cool and with the lights and life of the Grove, it was a very lovely dinner experience. :) we will definitely come back again!

Coffee and cake too late for lunch and too early for dinner

By Rodriguez J. |

The weather call for coffee and cake! Butter cake and vanilla bean ice cream hit the spot. I don’t mind coming here by my self. Great spot

Late lunch

By Andres72423 |

After a long day of being at the beach and being stuck in traffic it was great to be able to finally sit down and grab a bite to eat. Luckily we stopped at Marmalade’s. The restaurant was not too packed when we got there but the staff seated us and got us our refreshments right away. When I looked at the menu I knew what I wanted right away. After several days of dining out; they’re times when all you want is a burger and this was one of those days. I had the BBQ burger which comes with bacon and it was perfect. Sometimes when you get the bacon burger the bacon is not that good but not here; at Marmalade they give you at least 2 nice sized pieces of bacon. My gf had the lamb burger and she said it was perfect, she opted for the sweet potato fries.

Great spot. Average service. Average food.

By Dina M |

Marmalade Cafe is in a fantastic spot right on THE border of etc farers Markets and The Grove. The have big outdoor tables and comfy booths, Great for people watching. and if you have a dog. We have eaten their a few times and the food and the service is hit and miss. Sometimes good; sometimes not. The breakfast/brunch menu is the most consistence. The hostesses lack any warmth and take forever to seat you. Not a great greeting. Would I go there. No, not when there are so many other better restaurants and cafes at the Grove.

Great place to people watch

By KarenK518 |

Walking through The Grove towards Farmers Market the appearance of the Marmalade Cafe drew us in. Outdoor seating is wonderful to people watch and enjoy the sunshine. The grilled vegetable salad and curry chicken salad were both fresh and very tasty. Their prices are a bit on the high side but no doubt comparable to other restaurants in the area. Service was a little on the slow side but sometimes we just need to slow down and enjoy the person we are with.

Convenient, but a bit pricey

By Acidov |

I was in a hurry so I only drank one drink outside. The choice fell on Wild Berry Mojito. The drink tasted delicious, exactly as it was called and was served with plenty of crushed ice. The stuff was super nice and the atmosphere was great too. A bit pricey but it is LA.

Good spot for brunch or lunch

By Lena K |

My sister and I decided to have brunch at Marmalade Café in Los Angeles Farmer’s Market. Independently, we chose the exact same dish: the egg white omelette with vegetables! It wasn’t crowded, the wait staff was efficient and friendly.

Delicious fresh food

By Seunghye H |

We stopped here for lunch while shopping at The Grove. We got seated right away outside. It was a perfect day to eat alfresco. I got the berries mojito which was awesome! To eat I got the avocado toast, hubby had a keto salad special which was also delicious. Daughters got a different type of salad which was good as well. Everything was so fresh. My other daughter got a kids Mac and cheese and that was not good l, it had no flavor.

Great place

By Tigini |

Really nice place, food was delicious. Good menu choices. Great service and was not too busy. Definitely try this one on your travels!

Not what you'd think of a "Cafe"

By Brian |

I highly recommend coming with friends and family. The atmosphere is very warm and the customer service (Thea and Katie) did the most amazing jobs. Their food was good, but could use improvement in the taste and portion area, nevertheless, it was their customer service that kept me a satisfied customer. I will definitely come here again, and next time, I think I'll get a hamburger, it looked amazing when it passed by me ha-ha.

Amazing food

By 22maria2256 |

My favorite place I've come here at least 6 times the food is great the drinks are good and make the best breakfast brunch.

Cozy cafe with good food and good service

By Mikael H |

We needed some breakfast and since we were up early, the selection was small (unless you wanted to eat at the hotel) We found this nice place with a pretty good selection and really good service. Here you feel welcome and the selection was fine. They even adjusted my wife's menu to suit her preference. We got a free refill of coffee - thank you for that. A place we would like to come again

Wonderful food

By Julie Y |

We had a wonderful lunch here while waiting to go to CBS for a taping of the James Corden show. Had a nice table outside and enjoyed people watching. Sat next to the cute Nate Berkus. I ordered a bowl of the chicken and wild rice soup. It was the best soup I have ever eaten. It was so fresh! Chunks of pumpkin were in the soup as well. I hope to be able eat here again! .

Nice and easy for a bite to eat when shopping

By LilyDavid |

Came here last night with kids for a bite to eat while spending time in the grove shopping centre. We were seated very quickly and the services as friendly. Food came quickly - I liked the kids menu for the 8 year old as well as we were able to get him something he liked (grilled cheese) with something healthy too (steamed vegetables), as many places in the USA have really big portions for children and don't offer vegetables. My steak and Gorgonzola sandwich was nice enough but it could have done with a little more 'oomph' that I would expect from a steak sandwich. There wasn't enough cheese for the Gorgonzola flavour to really come through and the steak was tasty but not really big enough. Nonetheless it was reasonably priced and a good experience overall.

A welcome find at the Grove

By Weemango |

We found the marmalade café by chance when visiting the farmers market in LA. looking for somewhere to eat was difficult as we were complete strangers to the area and were lucky to find the café. The food was good and cooked to order and the staff were first class, even supplying decaffeinated coffee. I would recommend a visit here if you are in the area.

Poor service and disorganized

By ron b |

While the food was good our service was poor. The server was not attentive, confused our order and food came out staggered at different times. We had to ask to get some items delivered.

Mixed review - some good, some not so good

By Joe C |

Six of us ate lunch here. The food was just okay. My fish tacos were tasty, but the accompanying cup of black beans were dry and tasteless. The other diners in our group had mixed reviews. Some of the food was good; some sandwiches were bland. Restaurant Manager: This is important . . . a cleanliness note . . . there is a lot of cloth drapery over the bar seating. You would be smart to look up and notice the thick layer of dust handing on that drapery directly over the bar diners heads!

Valentine's Day Brunch

By Rebecca B |

Great meal in a great atmosphere! There is nothing cookie cutter here! I usually get the Eggs Benedict and they never disappoint. I tried the scramble this time and it was excellent! Add Bloody Mary's if you aren't in a hurry to round out your meal. The best one has bacon in it! Hands down the best place to eat at Farmers Market!

Great dinner place

By Maitha B |

Great food, nice location just at the corner of the grove and across Dylan's candy bar. I like that the offer gluten free food and great salads. Their creamy mushroom soup was great a bit salty though. The waiter was very friendly. Nice to try if you in the neighborhood

Excellent meals, quality service

By TravelRobs |

For such a busy location, the service at this restaurant was exceptional. The meal options are exquisite, with top notch, fresh dishes. I will definitely return in the near future.

Excellent food and atmosphere

By sarahhammond890 |

This was the best meal I had during my stay in LA. I had the garlic shrimp linguine and it was phenomenal. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching right in the middle of the Grove and the Farmer's Market. This is also a great place to eat before you go into a taping for a show at CBS Television City, which is what we did. We also sat right next to Nate Berkus! Overall, this restaurant in excellent and I can't wait to get back there!

Wonderful California restaurant at The Grove.

By 248vivianb |

I visited this great restaurant when shopping at The Grove. Delicious cocktails, great food and a delightful experience. Really good service and a lovely atmosphere.

Great spot for lunch while visiting Farmers Market

By Sandra M |

Great spot for lunch while visiting the Farmers Market. We had the buttermilk chicken sandwich and French dip. Both were excellent! The restaurant is clean with a friendly atmosphere. Will return on my next visit to the area.

Great food and a place for a walk.

By Rodriguez J. |

Came here for a Saint Patrick’s Day lunch! Loved the food and green touch. Great spot for comfort food… lots too see after we ate at the LA Grove and farmers market.

A great place to visit for hours

By VickiA63 |

I met friends here that I hadn't seen in 40 years, so naturally we had a lot of catching up to do. The waiter was so patient (darn, I wish I had his name!) He was prompt with our orders and made great suggestions. Sold us on three desserts, which were just fabulous! The bread pudding was especially yummy!

Only stopped for coffee

By SUZANNE T |

The food that was being served looked lovely, fairly priced for the area, but on this occasion we only wanted drinks and we were made most welcome. Lovely teas and coffees offered water as well.

Quality not expensive food in a tourist location

By David W |

Outside Farmers Market and part of the Grove shopping center. Excellent, reasonably priced food. Great outdoor seating. Excellent people watching. Need to park at Farmers Market in order to have parking validated. For Marmalade regulars, Costco sells 20% off gift cards.

Optimal lunch

By alexandra C |

Restaurant with delicious and hearty dishes. Very courteous and professional staff. Prices adapted to the menu. We recommend it!

Good for brunch

By Lena K |

My sister and I met for brunch at Marmalade Cafe at Los Angeles Farmer's Market because it offers a large outdoor seating (for better air movement). She chose the bowl of soup (mushroom) and half tuna salad sandwich. I chose the smoked salmon omelette with fresh fruit and sourdough toast. We enjoyed our meal and the efficient, attentive wait staff.

First/Last time visit.

By apls70 |

First time her in LA, and my son and I walked around until we agreed on a place to get a bite to eat. We ordered a club sandwich to go with fries. It took them 30 minutes before we got our food. And on top of that it was nasty. Club was dry and Turkey was disgusting.

good ambiance, tasty food

By alfredo ivan f |

it was a ery tasty place, probably a little bit expensive for what they offer but I think it's because it has an amazing location. I would go back of course

Yum....a great place for lunch.

By junejeffrey2018 |

You will beg for more when you try the chicken quesadillas. They are absolutely delish! And what fun to sit outside and watch the crowd going up and down the street. The menu has a wide variety to choose from....salads, burger...pretty much whatever you want. I found the servers to be polite and prompt, while service nice, hot food. My daughter and I go there whenever I visit her in California.

Classic Brunch Fare

By Ray Q |

Nice spot to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the Original Farmers Market and The Grove - easy to fill up for the day with a tasty brunch. The coffee refills keep coming and be sure to ask for extra servings of the namesake marmalades - they are great on the toast or biscuits!

Tasteless Tacos

By alineLebanon |

We tried their "signature tacos", Chipotle Grilled Chicken Tacos and Filet Mignon Carne Asada Tacos. Big disappointment with both! They lacked flavors and taste even though the presentation looked delicious!

Poor food

By bcheong |

Dropped by for a mid afternoon snack at the Grove. We ordered the spicy tuna tartare and potstickers. The “spicy” tartare was oriental chilli sauce sprinkled on the plate. The potstickers were limp. They came with panda bamboo chopsticks, didn’t know we were in chinatown Ok service

Late Sunday lunch at Farmers Market

By linweisingapore |

Was walking at Farmers Market. Decided to hop into this little cafe at the corner. There was a short queue (about 10 minutes wait time). Clean cosy restaurant with indoor and outdoor sitting. Was usher to outdoor sitting. Friendly service staff. Restaurant running full house at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. Had meatball spaghetti & soup with sandwich. Meatball spaghetti was little greasy. Iced tropical tea was sugarless. About USD 35 for all.

Good food at this California chain

By STraveler2 |

In the Grove with indoor and outdoor seating (to people watch). An eclectic mix of food with good service. One entree of BBQ pork ribs with ff and good fresh slaw sounds ordinary but was very tasty. Another entree of Salmon with mashed and broccoli as well as crispy chicken pot stickers were both excellent. Definitely worth a visit and priced reasonably.

Horrible Food

By travellistics |

The place is ok, located in the Grove, they have a big terrace so you can sit out there but the food is horrible, it is not cheap and for that price you can have a great meal elsewhere. Don't bother, try some other restaurant

Delicious

By TravelingDad84 |

We stopped in for a late lunch not having eaten all day. Very good quick service. Food was out quickly. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Kids loved their meals. Mac and cheese was real and not Kraft out of a box. Chicken tenders were also "real" and crispy. I had the chicken quesadilla. Very tasty and filling. Prices reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

Eats you can count on

By Robert H |

We go out to dine often and one of our default places, when we can't think of somewhere with food for which we are having a specific hankering, is this one. Food is always tasty, portions good, libations plentiful, service very good, ambience nice. the menu offers options for virtually every foodie.

Good Lunch Stop when you're at the Grove

By Michael W |

We sat outsdide on the 8th Decemebr in warm sun. What could be better. My wife had a half Cobb salad, but was sure the portion that came was a whole one, It wasn't! I had the soup and half sandwich, and both were excellent, once I had sent the sandwich back because the bread was a bit stale. Good service and pleant of choices on the menu

Fun, old-timey feel

By Angelcat08 |

Love the old-timey decor here and that it's in the heart of The Grove with outdoor seating so you can people watch. Enrique, our server, was super sweet and helped me decide on a cocktail from their fairly fun and extensive cocktail list. The Raspberry Lemon drop did not disappoint! I'm a super light-weight, so can always tell if a drink is watered down. This wasn't, and I got my proper buzz on after just one! The Chinese Chicken Salad was also a hit, with tender pieces of chicken and sweet and tangy dressing. My friend had the veggie burger and fries and said it was hard and unflavorful , so maybe skip that. Otherwise, a great option while spending some time at The Grove.

Very Fun Place to Eat at The Grove

By mamamimi2017 |

We loved visiting The Grove (a classy outdoor mall in L.A.) and enjoyed walking through their large Farmers Market. But we decided to eat dinner at one of the many outdoor tables at Marmalade Cafe. Very happy we did! The salads and hot, yeasty rolls were top notch. Their fish and chips had a bit too much batter on them for my liking. My husband liked his grilled chicken sandwich. My daughter, who is on a restricted paleo diet, enjoyed the grilled artichoke. It wasn’t the best food we’ve ever had but good enough to where we’d definitely go back there again. The draw is the cool ambience, people watching and great service. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We plan to eat there again on our next visit to L.A.!

Nice light lunch

By Louise D |

Spaghetti and meatballs on a thin spaghetti. Warm bread rolls. $14.50. Long windows allow for plenty of light. You can also dine outside.

Average considering all criteria

By SteveRuzicka |

It is not that it is bad. The location is nice in the Grove Mall, the service does a good job and the food is reasonable. We had 3 lobster/shrimp linguini and a flat iron steak. One bottle of red wine and a cappuccino. All OK but pricey with what we got. Sorry but I cannot get to a 4 mark.

A great breakfast option if you're in the area...

By Steff A |

Strolling around the Grove and we needed a breakfast place before driving back to Vegas on the Monday of Labor Day weekend...Marmalade was a good find... Marmalade Service & Ambiance: We arrived at 11 AM and was seated immediately by the friendly hosts at the entrance. Once seated, it took about 20 minutes until our server arrived. We thought they forgot us and almost left. Once he arrived he got our orders in immediately to the kitchen. The kitchen got all 5 of our plates to the table in under 15 minutes. That was awesome. The ambiance is a high end cafe with tall ceilings that you could mistake for a Cheesecake factory location. Marmalade Brunch Plates: I had the huevos rancheros and it was delish. The tortillas and beans were fresh and it comes with 3 eggs and bonus enchilada which ups the value of this tasty dish. The French Toast was put together well and topped with fresh fruit. The short stack pancakes were fluffy and perfect for sharing if you don't want to commit to a full pancake dish. All our brunch plates were quality overall. Our server apologized for the initial service and mentioned to us he was the only server when they opened and other servers have now arrived. He also apologized for the Marmalade not having coffee available this morning. The restaurant not having coffee and covering for servers at opening on a holiday day was a little baffling. Regardless, I'm still amazed on how fast the kitchen got the fresh dishes to the table so quickly and would definitely visit again if in the area. Enjoy!

eggs benedict with a1 sauce

By rebecca kilkeary |

eggs benny with fried tomatoe and a1 sauce amazing and so fresh.it wss really busy but we got our food in 5 minutes.soooo if ya hungry and u want good tucker which means food .this is the place to be

Really lovely lunch

By Katie B |

Nice place to sit out in the sun with a cocktail and a great salad, the chicken pot stickers are also good

It was ok

By Twixythrasher |

Basically what you would expect from a mall restaurant. The spinach and artichoke dip was great so was the watermelon cooler. Salad looked really great. It was crowded but the patio seats were nice. Didn't like the squash soup. It was super blank but they took it off the bill and were nice about it. I would probably go back if I was at the grove again.

Very nice place

By David C |

Every time I go to the Grove I have lunch at this place. I like to sit outside and enjoy one of their great burgers.

Great lunch spot

By Darren J |

Perfect location at the Grove and best for lunches outside. Great for people watching and the food is healthy and excellent service. I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints.

Quick and OK eats

By Michael H |

The service and food was great, we had two meals off the children's menu and two off the adults. Children's meals arrived quickly, and were devoured without fuss, my Rueben was scrummy. Sitting in the outside area was lovely and clean, bathrooms were ok as well. Fine for a quick lunch.

Inexpensive place for sandwichwiches

By Michael L |

I had a Classic sandwich for $13. It includes a salad. The portion is good size. That is almost the same price as other smaller family-run deli. The pasta here was good and the portion was big. Most sandwiches are around $13. For $12 you can have half sandwich and a soup.

Tasty eatery outside the Farmers market

By Akram304 |

Interesting array of starters , mains and desserts with Good service to match. the Corned Beef Hash was well done as were the array of Chocolate desserts

Worst service EVER.

By patticup |

This restaurant was recommended by an employee at Chico’s. The food was nice but..the service was the worst I’ve had in years. This restaurant was such a disappointment from start to finish..I would never come back to this place.

Great outdoor cafe

By Flyby0161 |

Wonderful place to have breakfast and coffee - watch people from the street side views. Surrounded by high-end shopping, outdoor Mall and more restaurant options.

Good choices for breakfast and lunch

By Lena K |

To celebrate my sister’s birthday, we met at The Original Farmer’s Market, then decided to have lunch at Marmalade Cafe. My granddaughter had the day off from school, so she came along. My sister chose the soup & sandwich, my granddaughter chose fruit and Tuscany bean soup, and I chose the Ancient Grains Burger with salad. The strawberry lemonade was delicious to drink. We each enjoyed our choices.

Nice enough for a quick meal

By SVKB |

I ate here last minute as I had to rush off and needed some breakfast. The restaurant is very large, and feels like quite a corporate place, which is not an issue, just doesn't have the slightly homier feel of other cafe's in LA. The staff were lovely, and the food was fine. But it wasn't anything special, and I personally wouldn't eat there again, however I think this place would suit large groups, or families who want to have an easy meal with no real stress.

Solid Breakfast/Lunch Spot

By pookala |

Really a 3 1/2 star review. Conveniently located between the Farmers Market and the Grove, this spot offers a terrific brunch menu at moderate prices. Highlights for our group were the turkey hash and the banana almond pancakes with maple syrup. Very good bacon and a spicy Bloody Mary also worth noting. Service is pleasant and this is a good choice for larger groups, especially those with picky eaters. Very child and family friendly. Outdoor seating available.

Food was mediocre and service slow

By jeanmorgan103 |

There were many customers complaining that they could not even get their check. The food was fair but would not go back there.

Great food and service

By Gail C |

Nick did a great job answering tons of tedious food allergy questions and never lost his smile. Food was prompt which was great b/c we were starving. It was filling and a good place for the family to catch up before heading to the grove

Nice Outside Tables!

By misopiso88 |

We were strolling around the LA Farmers' Market and decided to stop for lunch at Marmalade. Many fresh and healthy options. Beautiful outside tables, perfect on a sunny day!

Below average

By Ahmed J |

I have been to plenty of restaurants in LA, and I can confidently say that this place is below average. Their eggs were just fine, nothing special with the drink I had, and I was told that their french toast is special, but it really was not good. Probably it is just what I had, but that's what this is about. One great thing about the place, it has a great location.

Good food, fast service

By Shirley R |

Friend and I split an order of quesadillas and each had soup. The soup, pea soup, was delicious and so was the plate of quesadillas. Nice little restaurant located at farmer's market.

Amazing Flavours!

By peytonnovoa |

We came here for lunch while shopping at the grove. My sister ordered the enchiladas, my grandmother ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the garlic shrimp linguine. The flavours in all of our meals were very tasty and I was pleasantly surprised. The service and staff were good and the atmosphere was lovely.

Great brunch and service!

By Doug C |

The brunch and service were so good here that I came back a second day. Had the scrambles and they were awesome. Carlos waited on me both days and provided outstanding service! If you want to have a nice meal while you get in a little shopping, try this place.

As expected and more

By tania0926 |

We had already had breakfast at the one located in Calabasas and decided to had early dinner at the one at Farmers Market to try their lunch-Dinner. I had Shrimp Alfredo pasta and my mom had a Salmon dish. They were both very good. You can tell this franchise like to keep their standard equal in all stores. Loved it. Whenever I am back in L.A. I am definitely coming back!

Amazing menu

By Daye A |

Many great options. Tuna appetizer was delicious. Fig grilled cheese with apples was a great combo. Loved this spot. The outside seating was great even on a warm day.

Fantastic Pasta!

By stevieblv |

Wow, I just took a chance and walked in! What a treat! Good food, great service! I had the Garlic Shrimp Linguine my associate had the Pot Pie (made from scratch). Both dishes are absolutely fantastic I would strongly recommend this restaurant! My server Thea was the best!

Reliably good food

By Lena K |

Marmalade Cafe at Los Angeles' Farmers Market offers a large variety from which to choose. This day, I chose the vegetarian burger with green salad. It was exactly what I wanted: light, yet filling.

Delicious!!!

By Minkid73 |

Amazing food and really friendly service!! Could have eaten here 10 times if we’d had the chance as the menu was so vast! We had burger and sandwich and salad options - all being fantastic and delicious!

Good sandwich and great IPA

By marcushjorth22 |

Nice place for sandwich and beer. Service a bit slow, but that's ok since this is peak season. Great location and a great place for people watching.

Another good restaurant!

By Trudi G |

Just a few feet from Farmers Market and inside The Grove...very good food and helpful waitstaff...comfortable restaurant with good menu...yummy coconut cake when they have it!

Nice spot for a quick meal

By Gary G |

We went recently on a busy Saturday night and had a really nice meal and good total experience... This is a casual restaurant with a nice menu and the service was very pleasant. Recommended

Don't pass it by

By Nina993 |

This place is so good..i had the Turkey Hash and eggs for brunch..excellent..my husband went with a Bloody Mary and it did not disappoint..spicy with bacon celery and olives..its a lunch in itself

Very average

By Traveler208894 |

Ate lunch with my family. Restaurant was not crowded at all. Service was slow, got 2 of 3 orders wrong. Food was quite bland overall include the chicken tacos. Quite disappointing.

Good restaurant for dinner

By geotech522 |

It was Sunday night at Farmers Market in Los Angeles and there was no waiting at Marmalade Cafe. Had a good experience before at the Calabasas cafe so we tried this one at Farmers Market. We ordered entres with salmon and shrimp. They were good sized servings and the food was fresh and nicely prepared. Service was reasonably fast and the environment was nice inside. There was seating outside, but it was a cold night in the 50's (cold for LA).

Yummy Breakfast

By rslot |

We did a search for breakfast places near us (staying in Manhattan Beach for the Fourth) and this spot was at the top of the list. It should have been listed first because it was tops. The corned beef hash was like a Benedict without the gluten. A small orange juice was a large at most other places. The Huervos Rancheros were incredible.

Old food and unreal prices!

By S W |

I paid nearly $80.00 for 4 sandwiches, 4 bottles of water and 3 bags of chips. Food wasn't even fresh.

good food

By razierfour |

All of us had great food and it was delivered in a timely manner. The service was great. The food is consistently good, so you know what to expect.

Great food!

By Emily |

I had a soup and pasta combo lunch here. Both items were well presented and tasted incredible. Service was fast too. Definitely recommend.

Loved this place!

By Judy T |

We ate outside and watched the crowds go by, it was lovely! The menu items sounded all very good. I had a soup and sandwich combo that is my favorite thing to have, always. Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. It was very good with nice crusty bread and the cheese was real! haha Looking around at what others ordered, it all looked very nice. Our waiter was personable and nice. Service wasn't super fast but we didn't feel any preassure to leave either. I would revisit. It was such a beautiful day.

Perfect outdoor terrace!

By Maria C Hunter |

Went for lunch and had a delicious beyond burger! Lots of options for all tastes! Great outdoor table seating, good service and location is also great at The Grove!

Pretty bad

By Adonis M |

Service was unbearably slow. We ordered items and they never came to the table but were still put on the bill. Waiter forgot requests over and over. Food was average, fish and chips was bad, but bread basket was good. Service certainly the worst part. Would not return

Good service & drinks

By ksprott |

We stopped here just for drinks, so I can't speak to their food. The service was very friendly and prompt. It's a very pretty setting and a nice place to take a break from shopping and people watch.

Absolutely excellent service

By CactusRose |

Called in here with a very tight timeframe. As soon as we sat down iced water was brought to the table. We asked our sever if we would be done in time, as needed to leave in half an hour. He said it should be fine, but that he’d bring the bill as soon as we’d ordered and would also bring some boxes at the same time, so we could take any uneaten food with us when we left. As it happens. We got our food and ate what we wanted and got away in time! We had a calamari salad and a grilled chicken sandwich. Both fine and we left happy. Have to say the service from our serving person was exceptional.

"Basic American Eatery"

By Bella |

Great location and especially if you're sitting outside to people watch. Unfortunately the Chef either didn't pay attention to details or the waiter didn't convey the message. I asked my my SALMON to be cooked medium well and to put the Ginger Glaze on the side. I asked for a House Salad. THEY GAVE ME A CESAR SALAD, DRY OVERCOOKED SALMON AND GLAZE ON MY SALMON AND FREEZING COLD POTATOES AND VEGGIES. Our waiter was alerted and looked at us and left. The manager and assistant did come over and was completely helpful and did replace my meal but unfortunately my Potatoes and Veggies came back COLD AGAIN. The manager did take the entry off the bill and I may return but will not order an entry but maybe get some appetizers.

Love, love , love!

By AuthorCMelanson |

I went to Los Angeles for a book signing and before I went my friend and I bought a few Groupons. This was one of my favorite that we purchased. I loved this restaurant. Do you know how hard it is for someone who can't have gluten to find a place that does gluten free lobster pasta? Red Lobster certainly doesn't. When I read that option on the menu, I knew we had to eat here. The restaurant is quaint and beautiful. The decor is classy vintage and the building is situated at the edge of the Farmer's Market. Our server was wonderful. I can't find the copy of the receipt and I wish I could so I could give a shoutout. He had blonde hair and a goatee and was so invested. The margaritas were wonderful and the food absolutely mind-blowing. I've never had lobster pasta that was so delicious. Our server returned several times and we even had a friend join later and he took such good care of her. Being so close to the Farmer's Market, we could go right outside and walk around and see all the interesting and diverse vendors. Marmalade is the perfect spot for a wonderful meal while visiting this attraction. After eating, we went and walked around to see all the different stalls and types of food, clothing and services for sale. Marmalade is just a perfect combination of great food, warm atmosphere and intruiging location

Good stop for drinks and meal

By moniqueashbrook |

We sat by the bar twice while at the Grove. Was the first day of 2018 and the Bloody Mary was delicious and generous. The bar tender suggested the mushroom soup for my husband and I had calamari. Service was fantastic and food.

Popped in to the Grove to grab some dinner on our way home after a long day walking LA! Excellent service, friendly staff and yummy food. The children were well looked after and the food came quickly (we asked for a speedy delivery as it was late and we needed to get home to bed!). A relaxed but fun atmosphere in the restaurant and nothing too much trouble.

Great brunch perfectly located at the farmers market

By Momma L |

Located inbetween the mall and the farmers market, the marmalade cafe was a great location to have a reasonable priced brunch. Eggs benedict is always my husband's order. I opted for a short stack of pancakes with fruit. Yummy! Great service too.

Birthday bash

By TravelgirlCalifornia |

I just hosted my birthday with 33 friends in the private back room and really enjoyed it. We had a set menu with delicious options and also mimosas / coffee etc. for beverages. The rooms was decorated and had a nice decor. The space was large enough for everyone to mingle and feel comfortable. The manager was super nice and organized. Would recommend for lunch brunch or dinner.

Great food and service

By MuscleDog |

Located in the Grove next to the farmers market this is a great place to people watch. the food was brilliant until i found a hair i my omelette. the waiter was great when i told him and easy to deal with and very apologetic. Other than the hair i enjoyed my breakfast here.

Bite to eat

By choz06 |

My girlfriend and looked at a few places in the grove to eat and we stopped in here. Our waiter was very nice. We order a chicken quesadilla and steamed potstickers. Quesadilla was very bland. It was just chicken and cheese. No seasoning. It has sour cream and guacamole and pico on the side. I could have made this. We had to send the fist pot stickers back. They were ice cold. Waiter apologized and said they should be out in a little less then 10 minutes. When they did come back they were hot (not microwaved). The waiter said he told the manager and they comped us the item. They were nice. I looked at the other meals being eaten around us and they did look good. If were come back to the area I prob would give them another chance.

Variety of choices for brunch

By Lena K |

To celebrate an early Mother's Day with my sister, we decided to meet for brunch at Marmalade Cafe at Los Angeles' Farmers Market. Each of us felt that our choice was delicious. See pictures to see what we chose.

Not the greatest

By Lachlan M |

The doorman forgot to bring us a high chair. It took ages for anyone to come and take our order. The wrong cocktail was delivered to our table. The vegan curry soup didn't have any curry in it at all and looked NOTHING like it did on the menu. I could have cut up vegetables and pi##3d on it and it would have tasted better. The waiter seemed uninterested. The place was nice and my wife had a nice meal though hence the three stars instead of two.

Not bad could be better

By Lalamandi0308 |

I had a meal with an old friend order the calamari which was not great too much batter and not large rings The pot roast was great and the service was excellent The refillable drinks were great

Wonderful

By debmat988 |

We visited the Marmalade cafe whilst touring in LA. It is lovely inside and the food was excellent. The service is good and the price was extremely reasonable for the location. Based in The Grove we found the cafe to be clean, quick service and really helpful staff. Will def visit again.

Pleasant way to pass some time

By Colin F |

My daughter and I stopped by for a Thanksgiving Day late lunch. She had the penne with chicken and I had the salmon on noodles. Both were very nice and the wine list is decent as well (we had a crisp California sauvignon blanc - $9 a glass). The ambience is pleasant for what is essentially a mall, albeit one of the nicest in the world. They were thoughtful and brought over a heater for the patio, as it's a little cool this time of year. All in all, very pleasant, if not spectacular. Probably a little overpriced for what it is but then it's the Grove. My daughter raves about their brunch as one of the best but they weren't doing it on the holiday.

Holiday Lunch

By WaterGirl55 |

While visiting the Grove for holiday shopping and a visit to Santa, our family enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Marmalade. The restaurant is very charming and the menu is very enticing! Lots of different choices and all very delicious. Their entrees are very hearty. The service was very personable and our server was attentive and friendly. All said, we had a great time and I look forward to returning and trying a different offering from their vast menu!

Breakfast

By Hannah Le |

Nice sunny location for bfast. Good wifi. Clean toilets. Healthy choices on the menu and very nice staff. Recommend this place as a starting point for shopping in the Grove or visiting the farmers market

Eggs benny with fruit salad!

By WorldTravla7 |

I ordered the classic eggs Benedict from the “Breakfast for Lunch” menu and not only was it tasty and filling but it had a small bowl of fruit salad on the side! Nice idea. The restaurant is large with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Pricing was reasonable with the eggs benny costing only $14.50. Service was very good. A decent choice for breakfast in The Grove. I understand this is part of a chain of stores throughout California.

Nice Dinner After A Day of Shopping

By Marsi M |

After a long day of shopping we came here for our family dinner. We sat outside on the terrace which was nice so we could people watch. Our waiter was a little slow, but they did appear to be busy inside and out. We all had pasta dishes and we enjoyed them immensely. Overall it was a very nice meal.

Another great choice

By Christopher M |

We are not new to Marmalade Cafe. We were introduced to this local "chain" via their Malibu location. We were very pleasantly surprised with the rustic decor and organic greens.

Great food and service!

By jammy_dodger86 |

Beautiful restaraunt in a beautiful area with amazing food. Ask for a outdoor table! The burgers are huuuuge and just about anything on the menu is really tasty

Best place to eat

By Helenkeegan72 |

I stayed in LA with my husband & two daughters in August. We always love the Grove so is our first stop. We decided to eat at Marmalade Cafe for breakfast one morning and just kept on going back. Absolutely delicious food every time, I was totally addicted to the vegetable hash ... I am now back in the UK and absolutely craving it !!! Delicious !! We had an evening meal here which was equally as lovely, I had the steak with lobster, it was so tasty and beautifully presented. Our one and only complaint was on our last morning whilst on route to the airport we decided to call in and have one final breakfast, again delicious. We always leave a good tip and have never had any complaint from all the staff that severed us while visiting. On this occasion the lady that served us ( very southern accent ), actually ran out and up into the Grove to chase us for a larger tip. I still can't get over this a d was completely embarrassing, I thought she was so incredibly rude to do this and really took us back. People were looking at us as though we hadn't paid our bill. This is such a shame as it has now put us off going back when we return next year. We were very loyal customers eating there every day and even recommending them to other tourists. We felt very embarrassed. Beautiful food though , and apart from this one member of staff always found them lovely & friendly.

Solid brunch option.

By Jennifer H |

Cafe is centrally located between The Grove and Farmers Market. Short wait for brunch on Saturday early afternoon. Service was fast and friendly enough. My daughters devoured the nachos and I enjoyed my spicy chorizo eggs Benedict. Prices are fair for the area. Ambience is nice.

Very pleasant experience

By jaconnon |

We ate outside under one of the yellow umbrellas as the weather was beautiful. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly and all three of us enjoyed our meal. The sweet potato fries were great.

Attractive setting; poor service; low/average food

By travelingrandma91355 |

My friend and I were visiting Farmer's Market and, since it was her birthday, we decided on a sit-down restaurant instead of the outdoor vendors in the market. Big mistake. First, it took well over five minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant. Our orders were taken quickly and food delivered in a timely manner, but the server was unfriendly and inattentive. My grilled steak & gorgonzola sandwich ($14.99) had nice flavor, but the medium rare steak (to order) was tough. I don't know what cut of steak they use, but this was very poor quality and not worth the hefty lunch price. My friend ordered the BLTA ($12.50) , which she said was delicious, except the toast was really tough to chew through. We both enjoyed the accompanying French fries.

Cold food and bad service

By Expat_Traveler |

We are regular customers for brunch on Sunday morning. Service went way downhill lately but we put up with it since we like the place. But today was my last day eating at Marmalade. After being ignored for 15 minutes when we were sited, it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive - just eggs - once we complained about the delay, the food came immediately and it was COLD! It was probably sitting there for a while. No silverware on the table (we grabbed from another table), no hot sauce or jam... A complete restaurant fiasco! There is a new management, new waiters and all the friendly charm is gone! Adieu, Marmalade!

Great area, okay food

By ShelleyR |

Marmalade was our second choice for dinner as our first choice couldn't seat us for 2 hrs. There were 10 of us which I will admit is hard to please. The 3 orders of burgers were not hot and had to be sent back. The poached salmon dish looked nice but the salmon itself was mediocre. The steak was very good as was the garlic shrimps with linguine. But on the plus side, we were seated within 5 minutes. Our waiter was wonderful and tried to please.

Luxury interior fabulous smiles brilliant service

By Marlaina C |

Luxury interior fabulous smiles brilliant service, so cool inside and a magnificent ambience created by the decor is absolutely fabulous. We were offered drinks as soon as we were seated. The food came out quick we had soups and they were okay but lacked seasoning. Unfortunately I found a fly in my butter and I know it's hot and I'm sure this didn't happen often, however I was put off finishing my meal. The manager was most gracious and didn't charge us for anything even though my mothers meal had been fine and eaten so that was most appreciated. I do believe they have amazing food I saw other dishes being brought out. However I can only write of my experience and in this instance was below average.

Good breakfast

By Lena K |

My sister and I decided to have brunch at the Marmalade Café at the Original Farmer's Market in Los Angeles. We both chose the bacon, mushroom, spinach and cheese omelette. It was a lovely day, so we chose a table outdoors.

Good, fresh food, little bland

By CPhillips |

We ordered from the lunch and brunch menu - fish tacos, chicken enchiladas and garlic shrimp linguine and while the food was fresh it was all a little tasteless. The outside seating area was a good place to people watch at The Grove and the service, while not very enthusiastic, was fine.

Great food and service

By qhunnyb |

Came here for dinner and ordered their braised beef stroganoff and calamari. The beef is so tender and so flavorful, the mushrooms had the perfect consistency (not mushy) and the noodles al dente and you can taste a hint of wine on the sauce, the broccolini was perfect...super YUMMY. I am very picky with calamari and their was really good. It was tender and not overly breaded. It was the right ratio of breading and meat. Service was very attentive and friendly and it was fun to people watch when you sit out in the patio. Their desserts looked good but I had my heart set on going to Dominique Ansel's Bakery.

Amazing

By Grace |

Food was so good we came back to The Grove just to visit here! Had brekkie first time & dinner the next... both amazing. Sat outside both times and the atmosphere & service was 10/10 both visits. Hopefully will return one day!

Disappointing pancakes

By Elina Michaelidou |

The place looked promising but after giving our order we had to wait for a long time to get our food. I got the dark chocolate and macadamia nut pancakes and my boyfriend got a burger. The burger was ok, however, the pancakes were very disappointing. There was hardly any sauce on them (only a bit at the top) and they arrived without the nuts - I didn't really enjoy eating them.

Quick lunch

By rwheeler |

My best friend and I wanted to grab a quick bite after watching a movie before leaving the Grove. We found ourselves at Marmalade Cafe. It was a first visit for me. I found the service, food and ambience all to be good. No complaints from me. If in the area again I would dine there again.

Nice Spanish speakers

By Mimmo L |

I visited this cafe and I've ordered a burger marmalade with extra bacon cheese and fries. I was OK. The girl behind the counter was very kind and I've received my order in a tick. Recommend this place if you are flying UNITED and want something quick

Best Margarita ever!

By CoosBay2Boston |

It was the 4th of July and everything seemed to be closed, except Marmalade. While it has the exterior appearance of an high end mall restaurant, this was a refreshing place to visit, with a delicious burger on a gluten free bun, and probably the best margarita I've ever had in my life. The staff was very friendly and accommodating even though my party arrived late and stayed after they closed. Never felt rushed. Really enjoyed dining outside.

Good service

By Heather |

I had the breakfast tacos and an orange juice. The tacos were huge, I was expecting street taco sized tacos. My server was Ramon, and he was great. Beware, they charge a 3% surcharge if you pay with a card, which isn't disclosed until you get your bill.

Good food with nice patio

By Brtravelgirl |

We enjoyed a nice late lunch on the patio. Plenty of options for four teens and nice wines for the adults.

All Our Service and Food was Fine

By Lia T |

[My immediately preceding review was meant for another place - this is the correct review. I'll get around to deleting the other asap.] Party of five, including a 2.5 year old. Seated in record time. The parents asked if they could sit at a particular table that was ready and the hostess said,"Go for it." I had the French Toast. The menu says crispy, but mostly only the outside is. It was a lot of food for me anyway and eating the outsides of the several slices was plenty. The toddler had yogurt, fruit and granola. The granola looked very good with shredded coconut. She spilled most of the remainder right when we were getting ready to leave. Our waitperson was the best - saying not to worry about it - they would take care of it. The waitperson, Arnie, also poured a to go refill of ice tea for my friend and hadn't even requested it. My friend was very very happy. Arnie never forgot anything and always let us know specifically that such and such was on its way as he brought other dishes and the drinks. Everyone "cleaned" their plates, so I know they enjoyed their meals. The place was pretty busy, but I never got bumped into or felt crowded, even though we were by the entrance. There were both brunch and lunch menus available to us due to the time we arrived

Don't bother

By Tim F |

The marmalade Café has historically been a solid choice for good quality American food. Unfortunately, that's changed. The location in the Grove needs a complete refresh, including the staff, the food and the location. I recently died there with such deplorable service. It was worse than eating at a McDonald's. And truly McDonald's would've been a better choice. The food was less than average, and the decor is antiquated and dated. Don't even get me started on the bathrooms were the door to the bathroom, was falling off the hinges, and looked like it had been to war turn war-torn Europe. It's unfortunate that such an institution has fallen in such bad times but it's to be expected in 2023.

A good place to eat mid afternoon

By Hotelfiends |

We were a bit late for lunch and a bit early for dinner but this place served food all the time. The server was very pleasant and made us a fresh pot of decaffeinated coffee. the food was good and there was nice atmosphere in the place

Neat cafe in LA Farmer's Market.

By William S |

The service and food were faultless and all at a reasonable price. I did not have a lot of time for lunch but happily the staff were very accommodating and served me straight away. The restaurant is in a handy spot in the Farmers Market and you can eat indoors or outside. It was nice to have some decent food after some very ordinary fast food. Try the chicken salad and Agua Fresca mocktail. Really nice.

Nice outdoor seating

By Florian B |

Adjacent to The Grove Mall you get a nice place to sit and get (a second) breakfast away from the constant Muzak of the Grove. Nice service, the cappuccino was very mediocre. Get a standard coffee with your all American food.

Quick meal after shopping

By Raewyn B |

Lovely service, great food and comfortable relaxed environment. Good spot to people watch from the outside area.

Delicious Dinner

By travelgirl88 |

We were at a park nearby as dinner time approached. Looked at TripAdvisor and saw this place had good reviews and was in walking distance. I had the pot roast and my son had the mac and cheese with bacon. Both were delicious. It wasn't busy and we got a table immediately. Giving 4 out of 5 because the server wasn't very attentive, especially given the early hour and uncrowded place. Despite that, I would highly recommend a meal here.

Tourist Scam

By Nicolas F |

Went here on Thanksgiving morning since nothing else was open, so this was a last resort. This place is the definition of a tourist scam. Open on holidays so people go there, and of course trashy food and service. When we arrived there one waitress was serving everybody running around dropping food and plates, it was a MESS. When we sat down and ordered our food (1 pancake and 2 pieces of avocado toast) they were mediocre at best. Finally and of course, when we ordered the check it was 35+ for pancakes and avocado toast. But then again what can you expect from a place thats open on holidays. Do not recommend unless you’re starving and on your knees.

A restaurant at Farmers Market

By LETOMAS |

I've seen a lot of good reviews of this restaurant at Farmers Market, unlike what they say is not at The Grove, just look at the tax bill. So, we went by indication, the place has diverse environments, but I didn't fit the menu, ordered Fish Tacos and I regretted, The worst taco of life, three pieces of cold fried fish on pieces of raw cabbage and some tomatoes. Surreal from bad. The best dishes I saw were from the table partners: BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and Lamb Burger are very well served, the latter comes with an accompanying salad. Well, I think if these people were writing in my place, they would have a great score, but I'm out badly served, hungry because the taco was intractable. I ⁇ 't come back. I think there are better places in the Farmers Market.

1st class service

By Kathakali_12 |

Delicious Niçoise salad with poached salmon and sole with capers. The service is first class with outdoor seatings.

A refreshing break!

By jason n |

I stopped in for lunch with my son, as he (like most kids) can be a picky eater. I was quite impressed by the quality of the food and selection of wines. They made lunch into an event. Do note, if you have dietary restrictions, this is the best choice in the area-for quality of food and service.

Great atmosphere, perfect location & a range of food available!

By Lauren |

Great atmosphere, perfect location and lovely food! Located in the heart of the Grove shopping centre with a range of food to choose from. We had the BBQ Beef Burger with crispy onions and the chicken tacos, they were so good! Staff were friendly and welcoming, and I would highly recommend!

Great choices

By Jen0m |

Stopped in her last week for lunch. Lots on the menu to choose from. I had the mushroom soup and the cauliflower Marinated in hot sauce with a blue cheese dip - really nice and very filling. My friend had the chicken soup - really thick and filling and the nachos. I’d recommend d this restaurant and would come here again.

Annual visit from the UK

By Anthony M |

First of all the front of house welcome, table already prepared, menu explained with time to consider an order, prompt serving of meal, regular top up of coffee, brilliant waiter attendance and economically priced.

Great Bloody Mary!

By Michele E |

This is a beautiful location between the Grove and the Farmers Market. We ate outside and it was gorgeous! Our waiter was very nice and helpful. All of our food was excellent and quick. The biscuits and gravy Benedict was really good and the fruit was fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend the Bloody Mary for brunch!

Lovely place for birthday lunch

By Lena K |

My sister and I celebrated my 70th birthday with a delicious lunch here. While deciding what to order, we noticed the lady at the next table getting HER order: blackened mahi mahi burger and salad. It looked so good, that's what I ordered!

Very enjoyable meal after shopping at The Grove

By KMcBoston |

We chose this restaurant on a whim and were very pleased with our decision. The atmosphere is charming, service very friendly and attentive and the food was great. They have Gluten Free options including GF pasta you can substitute into any dish. I had the Salmon and asparagus with GF Fettuccine and it was delicious. To end the meal we had Gluten FREE Molten Chocolate Lava Cake and it was heaven. Highly Recommended!

I do not recommend

Prize is high for the food serving There is a few item you can choose and Tast of the food is not good

Great outdoor sitting in The Grove

By roberto a |

Good place for outdoor sitting at The Grove. Corner location with good views of the action at The Grove. Good food and service.

A lovely place for brunch

By Arncliffegirl |

Had brunch here on 30 July. The choice is excellent, from healthy to huge carb-fest, whatever you like. Service was fast and attentive and the espresso coffee was good. I recommend it when in the area shopping or, as we were, headed for LACMA.

Good lunch

By Lena K |

For lunch, my sister & I chose Café Marmalade at the Los Angeles Original Farmer's Market. Our server, Arnie, was friendly & efficient. Our meals were tasty.

Accommodating and reasonable!

By BaeBee19 |

I loved how accommodating this restaurant was. We had a group of 12 and only made reservations the night before. It was in a cute location, the food was good and the price point was great! The waitstaff were excellent considering the size of our party. Would definitely visit again!

Marmalade Continues its Takeover of Lunch and Dinner

By eboosler |

Every Marmalade I have been to is excellent. Tasty, fresh, interesting tastes and menus, delicious. So glad they opened one here at the Farmer's Market/Grove. They have the best sandwiches, salads (large!), and creative drinks. It's many steps above a regular lunch or dinner place, with its creative menu, special food events and fabulous ingredients.

Excellent, with Vegan Choices

By LAComedyGal2018 |

Comfortable. Good food. Not overcrowded. We met a friend from out of town and staff couldn’t have been more cordial and accommodating. We stayed a long time chatting, laughing, eating. We weren’t rushed to eat and leave. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our evening was. We’ll go again.

LA Version of an Aussie Outdoor Cafe that ticks all boxes

By Shane M |

Dropped in for brunch before the girls hit the shops. We had the breakfast burritto, pancakes and classic eggs benedict. Service was very open and friendly, food and drinks were nice and cosy was respectable. The cappuccino was the closest to an Aussie cappuccino I found over 3wks and overall Marmalade service, set up and arm atmosphere was pretty close to a standard outdoor seating Cafe you find in Australia. Oh, if you get the pancakes just ask for butter when ordering, but it's definitely a winner if your an aussie chasing a similar home style Cafe and meal.

Wonderful Fresh food

By Kim K |

We had lunch here after walking from Hollywood, just over an Hour and a half. We were hungry and the meals didn't disappoint. A very helpful, prompt young woman seated us and took our orders. The wine was very nice cold and it hit the spot. I had a scrumptious Chicken Salad and it was perfect. The atmosphere was great. We really enjoyed our visit here.

Stopped here on a Bus Tour

By Bruce M |

Very good service. We had a short time to eat and get back to our bus tour, and the wait staff was very accommodating. They offer a full bar (we don't drink.) They offer bread and butter with the meal. Pretty reasonable prices for L.A. It also has outside dining. I think the menu is kind of trendy with some vegan options. Our meal was tasty and well presented. Seemed like they had a lot of Brunch options too.

Huge menu. Decisions. Decisions.

By TRAVELEAST7 |

We had a very enjoyable dinner. The menu was staggeringly huge. The food was very good and decent servings. We sat outside and enjoyed the warmer weather and street antics happening in The Grove. Great night.

Marmalade at The Grove

Just delicious! Great upbeat atmosphere and service. Fresh food, prepared and served quicky. Craft coctails..could not have been more pleased.

Iceberg is not a food

By Sam S |

I have been here many times in the past. And it’s always ok. But today was really bad. I ordered the hollywood chopped Cobb and it was below average. It came on a bed of iceberg lettuce and had maybe 3 pieces of chicken on it. I felt like I was eating the display on a buffet. Their breakfast is great. Stay away from their salads. My mother ordered the Italian and it came the same way. With iceberg lettuce is not a food. So gross.

Lunch menu has good variety

By Diane H |

The spaghetti and meatballs were wonderful, but it would have been nice to have a piece of bread to go with the meal.

Terrible service!

By DebbieInCornwall |

Stopped by just to grab a coffee and sit in the sunshine. We’d been seated for 20 minutes and still no acknowledgement from the servers. I ended up flagging someone down and ordered a cappuccino and iced latte. 15 minutes since ordering and we’ve still not got our coffee. We are just about ready to walk out without our drinks.

Overpriced, mediocre food

By Travelbug880 |

Don't waste your time or money eating here. The menu is limited, unimaginative and the prices are high for the low quality of the meals. However, the mixed drinks are actually good. Their concept of a medium lamb burger is one of a barely edible, flavorless, well done piece of meat. McDonald's has better fries. Service is excellent.

Neutral

By WassimZe |

It’s normal that a single restaurant can have different reviews whether good or bad. I can summarize my opinion few words for others to decide. Good service Clean restaurant Wide variety Nice outdoor seating Tasteless food

Used to love this Marmalade but now...

By Dodgeball2016 |

It's been a tradition to eat at this restaurant every time we came to the Grove (usually during the holidays). But this year the food, starting with the bread, and continuing through the drinks and entrees was average at best, and in some cases, a little sub par. The server said they had changed the menu due to a new chef. Not sure what happened to the old chef, but the new regime doesn't seem to have quite the same attention to detail. The bread wasn't fresh, the drinks were poorly made, and the entrees were mediocre. Marmalade as a chain is good, but if you're at the Grove, where there are so many great places to eat, I'd opt out of this Marmalade. 12/14/16

Good food, good drinks

By AnneHastie |

We had the lobster and shrimp linguine, salmon, kale and wild rice hash and smoked bacon & chipotle Tabasco Bloody Mary... food taste is very good and Not very pricey.

First meal in LA

By Ma Chai |

Love the outdoor seating area under such good weather. Staff are nice and friendly. One of them recommend a signature pasta to us which is really yum. Salad is fresh and yum too. A nice brunch at the Grove.

Nice ambiance; convenient

By Luv2TravelFarNWide |

If you're in the Farmers Market area, and don't want to fight the crowds, or prefer a more comfortable setting, this place suits nicely. You can sit outdoors, indoors, or at the lovely bar. Good service; nice selection of food options. Full bar, with plenty of wine options by the glass or bottle. We opted for lunch sandwich with fries -- freshly prepared, on delicious toasted bread, but not exciting. Still, we got to eat sitting down on something other than a picnic bench, got table service, as well as a glass of wine. Made us happy and kept us going.

Lovely Place

By Teamosullivan |

As a party of 3 we ate here one weekday evening. No problem in getting a table, we opted for inside as it was a little chilly outside. Service was prompt and attentive and the food was lovely. There were plenty of things to choose from on the menu and the portions were a good size too.
