You walk in and are immediately met with the delightful smell of Indian spices. My husband and I both had thalis - I had butter chicken, my husband had nilgiri chicken. Both were incredibly flavorful. The thali also provided an abundance of food - the chicken, stewed lentils, a pickle relish, salad, naan, raita, papadam, and a honey-soaked donut for dessert. It was our first time at this restaurant, but we will be back soon.

It is never really fair to judge a restaurant after one lunch visit, but I am intrigued enough by Masti to give them another chance. The tough part is trying to replace the classic but shuttered Decatur Indian restaurant Bhojanic. It just can't be done, but Masti has potential. The décor is pleasing and I loved the Hindi music and general attentiveness of the various employees serving my table. I opted for the Thali plate, with curried chicken breast as the daily special. Everything on the tray was tasty and nicely seasoned, but honestly, for $10, I expected more than three small bites of chicken. It was not even a two-ounce portion. I didn't leave hungry, as the waiter offered extra rice and roti (which he initially forgot to bring.) The rest of the menu and cocktails looked interesting and worth sampling in the future. I enjoyed my first experience there, but just hoped for more generous portions.

Delicious, fast Indian food in large portions in a I formal setting with outstanding service. Give this new place a try— you won’t be disappointed. We will be back!

Visited here while in ATL. Wife loves Indian food and it was close to our hotel. The food was great and it was very casual.

Early on a Saturday evening,we ordered two of the appetizer "street food" items and a single plate of naan bread. The appetizers were average in quality, but the naan, which is a simple flat bread, was a tiny serving and very stale. We have had naan from many places and were surprised by its lack of taste and staleness at this restaurant. The dinner totaled $24 for these three small items, which we felt were overpriced. The servers were also very inattentive, not only at our table but at all the tables around us.

I'm a huge fan of Indian food and we decided to try this place and it was great. I had the Amasti fish and chips and it was delicious and a good sized portion. The Indian seasoning on the fried fish was amazing. I made fish and grits with my left overs!

We came on New Year's Eve, because we were hungry and not planning to go to a party later. This is a relatively new Indian restaurant and we'd heard it was good. It specializes in Indian street food, or chat, and the owners have been kind enough to print a menu that describes the ingredients of every dish, which makes it much easier to choose, depending on your preferences for snacky, rich, veggie-based or meat based. Under Street Eats on the menu, we especially liked 'Deconstructed Samosa Chat', which included 3 small veggie samosas in a chickpea curry with onions, tomatoes, cilantro and two special sauces. Very tasty sharing dish. We also shared a Chicken Thal, which includes several separate containers with small portions of things like lentil stew, seasoned yogurt, red or green chutney, perhaps a sambal, plus rice, salad and papadam, all of which I love. I prefer the Indian foods that don't go heavy on meat or cream, and there were many of those dishes to choose from. The Tandoori Chicken was hot from the oven and very tasty, accompanied by a crispy salad.

This place provides a great variety and a unique taste to the traditional Indian food. This place has a very nice vibe, the food is very tasty and service is very good. Highly recommend trying this place if you like Indian food.

Masti sits in two strip malls that grew together near Emory University. It was crowded on the Thursday 5 of us met there I was intrigued by its name but the menu did not yield answers. Items like okra matchsticks came in a paper cone but. Most of our selections needed plates and silverware. Food was good and the menu has a lot of variety. I would return again to try curious items like an Indian hotdog. Our waiter took the order for bade him and repeated it back to us without notes which was impressive. Food water and table service was delegated and it was somewhat confusing who to ask when something was needed. The bill came with an automatic 20% tip.

The Thali was great! Loved the variety and it was enough to share. Food is spicy and not for everyone. My partner had the Indian "burger." The sandwich was tasty but the fries and cole slaw were not. Wait staff a little clunky--still working out the kinks. Great to see them in the area. We'll definitely return.

Nice place to visit. Food is great. Food is hot and fresh. The place is set up like a fun place to go after work. I went there with my Lab group--we all had so much fun. You can really enjoy your spices in your food--mild, hot, spicy. Can't wait to go again soon!

We went there with family on a Friday evening for dinner - 2 couples and 4 children. This was one of the best experiences - excellent food, attentive wait staff. The cocktails are very interesting and some have funny names too. We adults tried the Aam ka panna, Mango lassi and Shiela ki Jawani. The Aam Panna was excellent, Shiela was so-so while my wife gave up on the lassi since it a bit bitter due to too much rum. For appetizer we tried the Kurkuri bhindi and Chilli paneer. Chilli paneer was excellent while bhindi was a bit soggy and not crisp (kukuri) at all. The kids ordered the hot dog and burger from the kids menu and both were good. for the adults, we ordered kathi rolls (chicken tikka and seekh kabab), amritsari fish and chips and masala pasta. All were good especially the kathi roll. The monster gulab jamun and kulfis that we ordered for the desserts were also good.

Below So pleased to discover this amazing restaurant This place has so much to offer,Amazing concept of fusion food with so many options for everyboday,Great food, Great customer services, and great place to hang out with your friends and family. Highly recommended 👍🏼

Was staying at the holiday inn express and didn't want pizza so we tried Indian. Ordered food by uber eats- delivery was fast and food was hot. The naan bread was good, the tekka masala was very good- spicing was good and my son is picky. Rice was done perfectly. Never saw Bollywood bindhi dosa on a menu so I tried it and it was terrific. Would have it again.

First time eating Indian food and it was really, really good. The place is clean, price of food inexpensive if you don’t drink alcohol and it is a bit stark, located in a shopping strip mall. We sat in a booth, the atmosphere was nothing to write home about and the waitstaff just average...think it’s a cultural thing...but the quality of the food is superb! We would definitely go again, we lived everything we tasted.

I have been here twice and the food is always good. It also has an industrial type atmosphere. I really enjoyed the Yellow Curry. Good stuff.

I’ve eaten at Masti a number of times and even had delivery once. The food is “ok”. It used to be a lot better and service used to be better too. The Masti fries and fried okra are still good. The Masti chicken wings were so-so. I ordered the Chicken Tika which was served with dry rice. Again, it was just fine. We ordered a Dosa and a Chinese Bheil which is good. They need to get their groove back. But it’s worth a visit if you are in the area.

So this is an interesting street style food Indian Restaurant in the now super popular Toco HIlls Area. Although we enjoyed the food quite a bit, we were not happy with spending $4/pop for some awful house beverages. The Green Mango drink was really terrible, we each had a sip and then put it away. The lemonade was equally terrible. It was described as Soapy Lemon water. The fried Okra was pretty fantastic as were the other appetizers we ordered. The Main dishes were OK, but I have had better at other local indian restaurants. We found the service to be acceptable and the check also very resonable.

I only gave Masti a middle of the road 3 star because although the menu has lots of fun street food I find that Atlanta has many other AMAZING Indian places that stand out shoulders above the rest. The decor is bright and fun, exactly what I hoped to find. The staff was attentive and helpful. The menu has many things I hadn't seen before and they tried their best to make recommendations. Food: Paneer Tikka Masala: it was flavorful, but was it the best I've had? No. Garlic Naan: good... A little on the smaller size than what we get elsewhere. Mumbai Quesadilla: This is a highlight on their menu. You get a choice of chicken, turkey or Paneer. We got Turkey and it was AMAZING. the mex/Indian mix they do here goes incredibly well together. Veg Momo: Was so good!! Be careful with that spicy Masti sauce though... It is delicious but hot. Aam Pana: this is a tangy summer drink in India made from Green Mangoes. I really wanted to love this because mango is my favorite food.... But I didn't. I will say this... It isn't bad. I think it will depend on your palette. Overall Masti is just Good. I MAY go again and there isn't anything really wrong with this place. There are just better Indian places in Atlanta.

The best Indian food I've ever had. I keep coming back and see local Indian families there every time. That's proof enough for me that the food is worthwhile trying. The deconstructed chaat is amazing.

Food is OK on average - if you stick to north indian dishes, it becomes above average - stay away from things like Dosas!

I really liked the fact that the wait staff took all the time I needed to explain the various dishes. When one came out that was not exactly what I thought it was going to be they were happy to exchange at no charge.

In the Taco Hills Shopping Center, this was our first visit to the restaurant. Inside is cutely decorated and has lotz of color. Outside is a small patio for nice days. Menu: Not huge, but plenty of choices. Read descriptions carefully, as some may be spicer than others. The street eats section was our favorite area of the menu. Food: Really enjoyed the meat samosa appetizer & the samosa chaat. Parking: Plenty in the shopping center. Service: I would rate this area as the one that needs improvement. Maybe it was a bad day or would rather be somewhere else; not rude, but not friendly... We will try it again in the future. My guess is they are busy in the evenings and on weekends.

I can understand that the food is for Americans who are not looking for the real thing. What I don't understand is the poor quality of ingredients. We ordered gol gappa and it was stale. The mango lassi had no yogurt (the key ingredient). The whole experience was disappointing and I will not be going back here.

yum! I was in search for alternate Indian Restaurant after had i had horrible experience at Tabla. . We were quickly seated and provided yummy fried puffs (rice puff) to eat while we looked the menu. Beautiful decor. Themed to look like a street side restaurant fused into a 5-star hotel. Jewel toned velvet booths. Rustic tin chairs. concrete floor. A very hip trendy place. The menu is vast and there's loads to pick from, I wanted to try everything. Everything on the menu looked tempting. We ordered Chinese Bhel,Aloo Tikki & Chilli Paneer, it was amazing. I had asked Chinnese Bhel to be spicy, which it was. The perfect Bhel. The food here was amazing - not greasy, super fresh, and huge portions. I look forward to exploring more of the menu. Service was exceptional. Drinks menu is extensive & very creative. Servers were amazing. Very polite & fast. Best service ever at an Indian restaurant. Refreshing to see Indian servers talking in Hindi , smiling and engaging in small talk. Our waiter was really pleasant and quick with drink refills. She anticipated needs (more napkins, etc.), which is always a gold star in my book for service. It was also relatively quick for a sit-down lunch, which I really appreciated. I will definitely return soon! Highly Recommended. A must visit for good Indian Street food.

The decoration here is very nice. It’s a fun vibe. Not too casual but not fancy. It probably leans towards casual. Lots of parking spaces so that makes things easy. The service during our visit was adequate. I would not say it was great but there was nothing wrong with it either. The menu is expansive. I may have to review the restaurant again after I have more meals here as there are so many options to try. My wife got the Chicken Tikka Masala. The portion was large and the sauce was okay. The meat itself tasted a little odd. We could not put a finger on it but we both agreed it was not great Tikka Masala. I opted for the Tandoori grilled chicken tikka burgers. They come as two burgers. I would say slightly bigger than a slider but not as big as a full burger. They are also severed with fries and Cole slaw. I liked my lunch a bit more. I would say that when we come back I’ll explore the menu more since neither of us were blown away by our meals but there a lot of options. Perhaps I should spend more time reading reviews before my next visit to hone in on some of their favorites.

Pitiful service. There must have 8 young employees scurrying around the indoor, uncrowded dining room, plus one middle aged man with a different colored shirt which distinguished him as the manager. All of these people passed our booth, some multiple times, including the boss and no one spoke to us. This went on for 15 minutes and we decided things were not looking good so we departed. Unless some serious training takes place, this place won't be around long.

We tried the Masti Indian Street Eats for lunch, and glad we did! Great new addition to the Toco Hills shopping center. We knew from the scents wafting out it would be good! Muted atmoshere but with Bollywood music in the background. We had the Samosa trio appetizer and each tried their Thali meal with a different main entree in it! Thali consists of a number of little bowls of different foods on a tray if you've never had it...A veggie or meat entree, a side veggie, fabulous saffron rice, salad, pickles, (and I think another dish or two - the tray was filled with little bowls of scrumptuous foods!) 2 kinds of bread, and a rice pudding dessert... So yummy! Generous portions (we took some home...) Attentive waitstaff and a lovely visit from the manager to see if we liked the food!

We are Indian so we really appreciated the way Masti collaborated Indian spices and flavors with American themed food. Everything was absolutely delicious. Also the workers were friendly and very quick in bringing our food out and refilling our drinks. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area and recommend it to our friends and family

I wanted to try a new restaurant while I recharged my EV, so I got mildly soaked walking about 2/3 of the way around Toco Hills to Masti. I had their Thali lunch special around noon on a Sunday. The portions initially appeared rather small, but they have rice + 2 main dishes included. Those, plus the one piece of naan, was reasonably substantial. I choose Paneer Tika Masala, which was actually quite good. I didn't catch what my secondary entree was, though the waiter assured me that it was made from chick peas (despite the fact that many people thought it was chicken). It was spicier but less tasty than the PTM. The special also included salad and a sort of creamy yogurt dressing, which was okay. There was also a small cup of some sort of fruit dessert. The bill was under $11. You might get at least twice as much food at an Indian buffet, but you'd pay more than 2x for that. In all, I was favorably impressed. The Paneer Tika was very flavorful, among the best I've had. I'm not close enough to be a regular, but the food was very promising.

For it to be listed as street food, the menu is longer than most street food places, and there's plenty of table seating. Also, there are a bunch of options for the vegetarians. This isn't the fancy Indian restaurant. However, the table service is just as good, and the food comes out quickly. I started w/ the samosa trio. They were good, and had good flavor. Next, I had the Mumbai Quesadilla. Had great flavor, and the portion size was huge. I wish all quesadillas were served stuffed with filling like this one was. By this point I was full, but I was being a little greedy, so I ordered the Manchurian Chicken, with basmati rice. I would up taking it home, but the spice of the chicken was so good. I'll definitely be back, as this has become one of my go to places for Indian food.

Service was great, and our waiter was able to answer all our questions. I will start by saying you must go just to have the bhindi fries and dipping sauce ( similar to maggie). I can eat this all by itself. The Paneer Sliders were "ok". Could have used a little more taste but I love the cut up paneer rather than the cubes. My wife had the Kathi roll with paneer. It was pretty large and she was only able to eat half. She enjoyed it and ate the rest for dinner at home. We did did not try anything on the authentic menu but we get all those things elsewhere. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will be returning.

Excellent cheese dosa. The lamb korma was spicy and flavorful. Everything comes very fast and at the same time, I enjoyed the meal and will come back

We really enjoyed this spot. Perfect place to stop for some chaat while on the way to the airport. Service is amazing and they are pretty quick with the food too! We had the Pao bhaji, Pani puri, okra fries and momos. All were amazing and pricing wasn’t bad at all. Will definitely be back

We have been to Masti several times and it has been consistently good. The colors, energy, aromas, decor set the tone...it is a very contemporary upbeat informal fun vibrant restaurant. And the menu is just as exciting with a wide variety. Food has been consistently beautiful flavorful and generous. They not only prepare your dish to pique your senses but they take the time to present it artfully. We enjoy the pani puri, deconstructed samosas, dosa, tikka masala. We are so fortunate that Atlanta has grown enough to have such wonderful restaurant options to include Masti.

This place was so darned tasty - I can't wait to go back. First, fast and friendly service. Second - delicious, flavorful food. I had the deconstructed samosa chat and it was damned tasty. We also had the Pani Puri, while different than what I've had before, it was really good. My husband and friend split the chicken dosa. They were very impressed. And the portions were doggie-baggable! Oh, and they rent Hookahs as well. To top off a delicious meal, they had a palate cleansing "bar". Not just a bowl - but about 20 bowls of different treats, dried fruit, sweetened rose, different kinds of the palate cleanser... it was so good. I highly recommend this place. Today was their 23rd day in business :)

We had a great time sharing what they called Indian street food at Masti. Butter chicken was the favorite for 3 of the 4 diners. Chicken dumplings are a great appetizer Several beers and foods were not available. They blamed it on a busy noon crowd but we ate at 6 pm on a Friday leaving one to wonder how many items would be available by the Monday delivery truck

Met my wife here after work for a quick meal on a Fri night. We were seated quickly and the food came out before we got too deep into conversation. The presentation was clean and inviting. We started with the steamed dumplings which were perfect, the spicy sauce was spot on. Then we had the tiki massla. Flavors are very authentic without the long wait and cost usually associated with solid Indian cuisine . Another great dish. No beer on tap yet but i'm sure they will get that going . They do have bottled beer and wine. Fun night and happy tummy's Overall, this place is a Winner!

This was our first trip to a new neighborhood Indian restaurant. I am not an expert in Indian food but have travelled to India & Nepal several years ago for 3 weeks, so I became familiar. We sat outdoors on a beautiful evening. The 3 of us do not like very spicy foods, not to be confused with hot spicy. We started with a few appitizers, the chicken momo & the meat samosa. Both these dishes were excellent. The momo, steamed chicken dumplings had an ample size serving & was served with 2 different dipping sauces. The meat samosa was served with one & was just delicious. One of our group had trouble communicating with the waiter. She specifically wanted a dish that had little or no spice due to her reflux problem. After not understanding what she wanted, confusing hot with what she was asking, he recommended one of the specials, a chicken dish. It turned out to be fairly spicy & she could not eat it. We also ordered chicken tandoori. It was okay but a bit dry. A good size portion served with rice & vegetables. My wife did not l8ke itm We ordered garlic naan, had to ask several times for it & it finally came after we finished eating our meal. The naan was good but was a small portion. The prices were reasonable. The service although friendly was not very good. The menu on their website had great pictures & descriptions of the dishes but the menu at the restaurant did not. It would have been helpful to have pictures & better descriptions particularly since our waiter was not very helpful in describing the dishes or helping us select. Overall I give it a 3 star. The service really brought down the rating for us.

Complete random find but becoming our go-to Indian place. Love the atmosphere, the decor and the menu. A bit atypical Indian but refreshing. The butter chicken tacos are my kids favorite and the street appetizers are all great. Service always great, helping you pick and the cardammon chai is excellent. The thalis are a great deal on selections of food - highly recommend. Excellent place for family/friends dinner.

It's a restaurant which is a fusion of Indian food and food from a few other countries like USA and Mexico. It has got some items that are totally different from other restaurants. Taste wise, I will not say it's the best I have experienced. But it's definitely good. At the entrance, they have placed around 10 varieties of mouth freshening mint varieties which everyone should taste because each of those items are awesome. You will not find these many variety anywhere else in Atlanta area. Overall, a great place to visit, especially for Non-Indians. For Indians / South Asians, it's something with variety that everyone should try

Went with 2 friends and we split a Deconstructed Samosa Chat (good, but chickpeas on lukewarm side and needed a bit more chutney), Pani Puri (great), Kurkuri Bhindi Fries (great), Chili Paneer (good), Falooda Kulfi (great), Green Tea Ice Cream (freezer taste, chewy texture, not good, probably old due to low turnover), and Nimbu Pani (good). All the chutneys were very good. Service was very good, and fast. Tastes were pretty authentic for these dishes, probably more so than Chai Pani street food restaurant dishes in Decatur. Most items are a little overpriced by $1-2 dollars each. Overall very good, I will be going back to try some of the other interesting items on the menu.

The fun in the food at Masti is now gone. Looks like any other cooky cutter Indian restaurant serving the same type of food. The food neither has a taste nor a flavor. Very disappointing

I, my husband and a dear friend visited Masti for the first time Sunday night. We called the restaurant at around 7:30 to see if there were any tables available and were told cheerfully that there were three booths currently available. Since we live just around the corner Because we live right around the corner, we drove on over and were immediately seated. the place was quite crowded with two large groups seated at the central tables and couples or small groups at all but our booth and one other. The decor was decidedly Indian, with typical bright colors and patterns on the walls and booth seats. Otherwise, the floor plan and other rustic elements were unchanged from that when the space was occupied previously by a rustic Italian restaurant; incongruous but somehow it worked. Our server, Sam, came immediately to the table with snacks - we failed to ask for the name of the crispy and savory "Honeycomb ceral" looking snacks, but they were tasty - and took our drink orders. My husband ordered the Jaljeera (cumin spiced lemonade), I ordered sweet tea, and our friend ordered a glass of red wine (Mark West Pinot Noir). My tea was dark and rich - delicious, and I was surprised bu the very generous pour of wine in our friend's glass (surprised Sam didn't spill it bringing it over). The Jaljeera was tasty but a bit overwhelming to both my husband and myself. Though not at all unpleasant, a much smaller glass would have sufficed. My husband settled on water for his meal. Sam was able to answer our many questions about the various unfamiliar items on the menu. I ordered the dinner Thali ($14.99) which was a ton of delicious food. I selected the butter chicken (delicious) and a curry potato dish that was outstanding. The Thali came with a thin yougurt sauce, a salad, the most delicious rice I've ever had, and "mango custard" for dessert which was really a delicious sweet soup. The pickles that accompanied my Thali were far too unpleasantly salty to eat. The spice level of my dishes was perfect. My husband ordered the Chicken Masala Burgers with fries ($9.99). The two small burgers were delicious with excellent spice heat, but the fries were a different story. My husband loves spicy hot food but he commented on the high spice level. I tasted one fry: very crispy and tasty and then about 15 seconds later my mouth was on fire. I know I could not have eaten an entire order of the fries. Our friend ordered the Fish and Chips ($9.99). He also reported on the high spice heat of both the fish and the fries and in the end stated he would have enjoyed his meal better had the spice level been a bit lower. Service was very good but unusual; at least 5 or 6 different people stopped by our table at different times to check on us and a different server from Sam asked to take our order after Sam had already taken it. My guess is that as a new restaurant there were some kinks still to work out. These kinks included the only big negative of the evening: my dish and our friend's dish came out at the same time but my husband's dish was delayed about 5 minutes. We discussed the spice level and all agreed that overall, the entire evening was a great success. We will be visiting Masti again (and we will be better prepared for high spiciness) It bears mentioning that all but three tables (including ours) when we arrived were filled by Indian couples, families and groups, suggesting that THESE street eats and spice levels are indeed authentic. For those who might compare Masti in Toco Hills to Chai Pani in downtown Decatur, there is no comparison. We've eaten at Chai Pani on numerous occasions and can state that the menus are completely different, as is their ambience, attitude and spice levels. Enjoy them both - you won't mix them up!

In spite of the strip mall setting, it has a nice atmosphere inside. The "street food" is primarily made up of fusion-style dishes (e.g., paneer tacos). Overall the food was fairly good, but didn't quite live up to expectations. The bhindi (okra fries) was probably the best thing I had. Many of the other dishes were either somewhat bland or one-dimensional. That said, the service was really nice.

This place is a must visit if you love great Indian street food, the place is so chic and cool, menu has the widest of varieties - from appetizer to main course to dessert. You would have a hard time just selecting what to get - however, choose anything because it’s all so great. Do ask for Kannan - their chef and host, he will suggest great dishes and may also whip up something special- if you are a good guest too. Lol Anyway, it’s a great place to be, and with Kannan as your host, it’s just amazing.

I really enjoyed this place. Indian food can be hit or miss, especially with these "street food" places. I took two non-Indian friends to this place, and they enjoyed it as well. Diverse crowd, interesting menu options. Americanized Indian food, it's the perfect mixture. Ooh, service is great too. We will be back.

Enjoyed potato dosa and rice pudding. Well done. Great service. They have lot of stuff on the menu which are not familiar so everyone chose most common items. If you are the curious type willing to experiment, this is the place for you.

We enjoyed the Indian street food here. Quantity and quality is just good. Service was also very fast.

We went here the evening after going to Chai Pani so in comparison this was pretty awful! First we ordered cocktails and our waiter was SURE that I would hate the cocktail i ordered and then proceeded to say I shouldn’t be drinking it? Was this a cultural thing? Just FYI I am Indian and I have never seen this. So i said it’s ok, please order anyway! He brought my tamarind margarita with almost NO alcohol in it- had to ask them to add more tequila to it- then he was like we would charge more, I said OK- what does one have to do to get a decent cocktail? the food itself was pretty ordinary: I got the Veggie thali, the tikka masala smelled and tasted like ketchup, the aloo saag tasted like mud or the spinach had not been washed and cooked properly. The husband ordered aloo tiki chaat and he said that the aloo tiki was not very well cooked. We won’t be back.

I went, expecting more of a Chai Pani kind of experience, but it definitely wasn't that. Food is good, but HOT -- this is probably more authentically Indian street food in some ways than CP. They also have interesting cocktails on the menu but fair warning -- if you order a G&T, for instance, they will bring you the gin and tonic separately, no ice. ;)

I've been here twice just because it's close to work. The restaurant is not authentic Indian food but more fusion cuisine. I found the food a bit overpriced and bland. There are other more authentic and less pricey Indian places around. Zyka, on Lawrenceville Highway, comes to mind.

Food is below average. The environment is good and service average. The place is very noisy as most of the dining is happening in a very small space. The open kitchen adds to the noise. The Masti Margarita was just average

The flavors of the excellent variety of Indian food could not be better. Servers were quick and helpful. If you are not too familiar with Indian food, don't be concerned, they will help you decide. The family platter gives you a great variety. Fun atmosphere and casual surroundings. I will go back.

This place pretty much had it all. If you want traditional Indian food, they had some of that. If you are unfamiliar with Indian food, they had some American dishes served Indian-style. But their Indian street food or chat was just awesome. I think we loved everything we had. One of our party did not like okra at all... until she tried their Bhindi Fries. In addition, it's also a fun atmosphere, which seems rather rare for Indian restaurants these days. Finally, good prices were a great bonus.

Very consistent Indian street eats restaurant. Very attentive wait staff. Portions are generous, always have some to take home. Meat samosas are excellent as well as their Biryanis

3 words- butter chicken tacos. My family is Pakistani, so Indian food is very prominent in my life. Frankly, I was so tired of leaving the house to eat the same kinds of food we make at home. Masti took the same foods I have been eating for years and presented it in a different way. The food tasted amazing! I've been back multiple times and I keep trying new dishes. The butter chicken tacos are still my favorite!

The chicken tikka masala was so red, it seemed like they added the entire food coloring bottle in it. The chicken was also dry. The noodles were missing side sauces typically served together. The most disappointing part was the Naan. If you don't cook the bread in a tandoor oven then you should not call it naan! They actually use frozen naans they then heat and serve. I would be okay with that if they actually stated that on the menu.

I almost gave 2 starts to this place because of my last visit. But I didn't publish that review. I visited the place Again!!! but with my whole family. The place didn't disappoint at all. We ordered Chinese bhel , Deconstructed Samosa Chat, Masti Masala Fries and Pav Bhaji. Everything was exceptional. My mom really liked Chinese bhel and she was in love with the spices and quality of it. The jaljeera and aam Pana. They were awesome. Everything was well prepared today. To end the day we ordered Pan Kulfi which is was OMG!!! Definitely improved visit than my last visit. Will come back again.

Nice looking place serving flavorful Indian street food with a twist. They have an interesting and diverse menu, with some great beverage options. We tried the momos and quesadillas which were appetizing and there's a lot more on the menu yet to explore.

Well what can I say about this place my first visit was last night and food was excellent the service was beyond point had chicken masala burgers and keema tacos was just excellent all I can say is the taste is still in my mouth. I will be coming back to MASTI from now even if I have to drive 20 minutes I will its worth the drive. food. Thank you to the chefs and the team for excellent service and excellent

Super reasonable, good service, basic pkace, fair portions, too sweet and not spicy enough. I liked what i got but...Sorry

Visited this place on a weekend. Place was crowded. The set up of the restaurant is unique to give an impression of street side food which is interesting . They have menu which has Indian fusion food. I tried chat papadi and thali for dinner. Food was okay. It lacked the flavor of the spices and was bland for my taste. It has full bar for those who want to enjoy drinks. Overall average food and the price is reasonable. Nice family restaurant.

I want to be honest--I'm not much for Indian food, so keep that in mind. I loved, loved, loved the decor--bright and festive. I did enjoy the food and my dining partner enjoyed it more (she does like Indian food). Where I made my mistake--I ordered an Indian lemonade(not sure what it was called). The taste was strange, but I kept drinking it (trying to figure it out). Well I started feeling bad and later came to find out that the traditional drink has rock salt in it-yuck.

I have only been here once, the restaurant is very well designed, and has a great atmosphere. I ordered the deconstructed chick pea curry with potato cake. The food was good, but not the best Indian food I have had. They had some other items that were intriguing, such as a butter chicken taco. I may consider going back. The best part of my meal was the sweet tea, it was almost as dark as a coke and was delicious.

They're not kidding about the name: the food here IS fun. It's interesting, creative, and, yes, fun (this not your typical "Indian restaurant") and most of all, the food is delicious. What a treat.

Went hear for dinner after a movie. Didn't have to wait for long to get a table. The place is nice and clean. The menu is nice and simple. Fusion of different countries dishes with an indian twist. Was a vegetarian for the night. All their dishes were good. If you like hot food ask for indian hot. The service was good and so was their food. If you like a drink, they have wonderful combinations. I like fresh green mango and that with rum was good. Next time i visit, will try non veg items.

The fun in the food at Masti is now gone. Looks like any other cooky cutter Indian restaurant serving the same type of food. The food tastes the same if you eat at any Indian restaurant in Atlanta. Very disappointing

Great service and a place to either sit down or take away. So far I've enjoyed the food and they give you a lot so you will definitely be full or taking some home. Very flavorful and spicy. You might need a few napkins to wipe away sweat on the forehead if you get the super hot and spicy dishes. Overall, DELICIOUS!

This was the first time I've had Indian Street food. We had the butter chicken dossi and it was very tasty. We also enjoyed the rose ice cream with noodles, basil seeds and rose syrup. Service was fast, and friendly. they were also very helpful in explaining what the various foods were. They have an extensive menu and great prices.

This is a new eatery and has great street fare. The ambience is hip, the atmosphere is vibrant and you can feel the buzz around. It feels like you are in India. It was a wonderful evening. The food was perfect and the manager got us complimentary paan shots, which was a first and they were refreshing. Yes they are non alcoholic. The manager did affirm that the chicken, lamb and goat is halal. Will definitely visit again and report back on consistency. Must visit place for anyone wishing to eat Indian. Try to call ahead as they were very busy.

Masti Fun Indian Street Eats is located in Toco Hills Shopping Center where the pasta restaurant used to be (can't remember the name [Mirko perhaps?]). The food quality, service and ambience is quite good. The portions are more than filling for one person. Not a bad option for Indian food when one is on this side of town / in this neighborhood. In my last visit I got the lamb hadjaabi (not sure of the name but the sauce was spicy, dark in colornand had onion and green pepper). My mom got the Sag paneer; this dish was unusual / atypical in that the sauce was red and the spinach was formed into lumps / dumplings with paneer cheese in the middle and lumps / dumplings cut in half. Unusual but tasty none-the-less. I am fan and will be back to try other menu items (most notable punjabi fish and chips)

Cute and busy looking restaurant. We went last night and split some appetizers, chat and something else like a slider. Both were excellent. We has a saag ponir and another veggie dish. Both were sort of bland and were disappointing. The garlic naan was also very good. We may come back and just eat appetizers and naan.

Me and some friends decided to go to this place to celebrate. We were a total of 14, but some people came by surprise and we became 17. Once we got there, I decided to ask our server if there was any possibility to put another table, as we were a good amount of people sitting in 4 tables, and that moment, the manager came with the worse attitude possible saying "you guys said it was 14, now is 17? Can you decide?". Let's go back a little: Friday evening, 6:00PM and barely 2 tables occupied inside the place. Well, I told him we were 17, and we needed space. His solution: squeeze everybody as much as possible. I proceed to ask if we could take the center table, as we would be much more comfortable, and they said no, that they had another reservation. Well, as we were there and some people already ordered some drinks, we stayed and squeezed. Food was good, food runners, cooks and everybody else gave us an amazing service and time, but honestly, the attitude of the manager and LIE (nop, there was NO reservation and this place never got even half full!) was the one that messed the night. We left, happy with food and serving personal, but disappointed with management. No hospitality, no service, NO CARE! I guess he needs to understand something: working with customer service, doesn't mean customer is always right, but means you need to have enough class to go around and solve issues without losing future business. Also, if we are asking for more space, a party that left over 400 dollars in one sit, and you lie to me, believe we are not coming back! And again, front of the house and back of the house, you guys rock!!! Working for an Indian company and trying Indian homemade food almost in a daily basis, in our opinion, you guys are awesome and everything was delicious. Would have a better score if manager knew how to be a manager, and not an animal, treating customers as animals. Oh, by the way, 7 years as a server and as manager in a restaurant give me the knowledge to know you don't know where are you standing, and you don't care if your place and servers have business or not. Remember that happy customer is always safe business, even more when from a treble of 17 people, there is only 4 Americans, and most of them work in for Indian companies in the neighborhood. It would have been an amazing place for future reunions, shame we won't go back as management sucks!

Absolutely delicious! I was in the mood for some Indian food and this place was highly rated and for good reason. As interesting as the menu was we opted for the basics: chicken tikka masala and chicken korma. The sauces were amazing and the chicken was moist and tender. We also had plain naan, it was okay nothing too great nor that bad. The desert we had was very unusual and flavorful can't remember the name but I did take a picture. Definitely try this place if you're in the area!

My family and I tried a new Indian restaurant this past weekend, rather than our usual destination Chai Pani. Because it is billed as a Street Eats restaurant, we were expecting it to be more like Chai Pani, but it wasn't. The food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and the menu was diverse. My son had a masala dosa and the sambar was excellent. My wife and I both had Thali Plates that were both very generous with food. The dal was good, but not what we are used too. Would we return, yes, but when we need our weekly Indian fix, we would probably return to Chai Pani.

Masti has a new location in the Toco Hills Shopping Center where it sells Indian and Indian fusion snacks and meals. They even have some hamburger wallah I had a nice South Indian Dosa served very nicely with a good filling. Service was pleasant and fast. The menu is entirely different from Chai Pani's so you can enjoy both places. The decor is pleasant with some tables and booths, a little more refined than Chai Pani's converted gas station.

The food was too hot for my wife and I even after we told them NO hot spice. We had to return the food and leave. If you like to eat Jalapeno peppers, this place is for you.

After reading about it in Creative Loafing, we had to try it out. While the facade doesn't look like much, the interiors are done up very nicely. The ambience was impressive and cozy. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We relished the aam panna and Jaljeera drinks though they could reduce the amount of seasoning. But it was wonderful having those options as it had been a long time since we drank those. The dosa with butter chicken was good but the bright red food color of the butter chicken put us off. The de-constructed samosa chaat was pretty good. The chicken 65 gets a big thumbs down. Very disappointed. Fried in tasteless batter :-( The kulfi again was disappointing. Again just bright green food coloring and didn't taste like kulfi at all. We only sampled these dishes. Probably the other stuff on the menu must be better :-) I think they have a good thing going, but they need to better the food for sure.

We stopped here after seeing a show at the Fox Theater and we're so glad we did. What a fun and fresh take on Indian Cuisine. We've eaten at many Indian restaurants and none of them compare to Masti for both flavor and fusion of many cuisines until one roof. They have the traditional "Indian Restaurant" dishes and then there are loads of "street eats" and other small plate combinations I've never seen before. This was one of the best experiences we've had for a meal. Let's start with the drinks. They're huge and they're awesome. My wife went with the Iced Chai and I had the Mango Laasi. Just great flavors. We went with the "street eats" portion of the menu and had a great time with the small plates. Veg Momo are some awesome dumplings with a great dipping sauce. The Deconstructed Samosa Chat was simply amazing. Great idea and awesome execution. Then we had the Kurkuri Bhindi Fries, matchstick fried okra. Oh my word, just could not stop eating them. Being a meat eater, I had to try one of the sliders. I went with the Keema Burgers based on the recommendation of our server. They were pretty good, not as good as I was hoping but still tasty. Next time I'm definitely getting the Chicken Masala burgers. All in all, AWESOME meal and we will be back many times.

No credit card .. only cash they took it.. guy in the counter was good.. he handling things very calmly!!
Our Dinner
We had come to Atlanta as tourists. OK food. Not much for Vegetarians. we ate masala Dosa, and Chat. I cant say it was very tasty. Masala Chai was good.
