Very loud. Could not hear from across table. Special menu was an extremely limited menu. Pasta was extremely salted. I could not eat it. Made a really bad choice in going there.

We were so excited to go to this place and been watching their Instagram profile for a while where they advertised for some happy hour specials and overall the place seemed to have a great vibe . We called in advance to make a reservation and the person who answered the phone also mentioned happy hour so we decided to come for that time . When we arrived The hostess was sweet but when we asked her what was the actual happy hour she said she didn’t know and that we should as the waitress . The waitress was sweet too but at our question also was surprised and said she didn’t know . The happy hour prices was not a big deal for us but was a bit strange . She went to ask the bartender and came back and said that we had to sit at the bar for the happy hour special , but still nobody knew what was the “secret “ special Z when I asked the bartender what were the happy hour prices on the 2 food items - he said that he “ was not a computer” also another water , an older gentleman came by , and tried to “ save” the waitress but saying that she was new , but really they didn’t have a happy hour , and we should stil asking the question . He was really rude . We were disappointed at the demeanour of the services and bartender , who act that they run the place . But we were hungry and it was hot outside so we stayed . The second part of the visit was a lot better - the drinks were tasty and strong , the calamari and lobster bisque were great portions and delicious . The music was a sort of tribal house and we enjoyed the overall tulum style vibe. The food runners and bidders were super sweet and came to check on us every 10 min . May be you should promote them to be the servers - just an idea . Not sure if we will be back , with so much competition in Miami and many places offering tulum experience , great djs and tasty food , Mau need to up their service game .

Overall, this high-end Mediterranean restaurant deserves every bit of praise. Very cute place, ideal for a solo date. Had a fantastic experience, thanks in large part to our waitress, Thais. Thais greeted us warmly when we arrived and provided attentive service throughout my meal. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. Thais was also friendly ! Despite the restaurant being busy, Thais remained calm and ensured our orders were taken and delivered promptly. Her efficiency and professionalism were greatly appreciated.

I read my experience a one. This place was awful. Don’t believe the positive reviews because I didn’t until I went there. My wife and I went there for a nice little romantic night. The server paid more attention to the back of the kitchen and to the bar then to us. We only got a part of a meal and then the market price was ridiculous. $18 for a regular unsweetened tea/lemonade. If you want to waste your money then that’s the place to do it. Even the parking was in on the scam. They told us he was five dollar parking and when we came back it was $20. Overall a awful experience and will never spend another dime there.

I am a foodie and a world traveler. When I experienced MAÜ for the first time back in May with a group of friends for dinner and a night out. It was love at first sight. I felt transported to an island without getting on the plane. The interior really sets you into and island vibe like Tulum and Mykonos. I loved how the staff treated us, and made sure everyone's needs were met. The cocktails were amazing. I recommend their Mykonos Mule and their Passion Margaritas. I personally love the presentation of every dish and the portions were a perfect size even for sharing with friends. Since my first visit I have made MAÜ my top place to go with friends for small or large group gatherings. I look forward to going back and trying their amazing brunch, which consist of their signature friend chicken and waffles and more, they also have a great selection of champagne and the music is perfect for a tropical chic setting. Ideal for couples, dates and large groups. My husband celebrated his birthday there and we had a blast. We even got a free round of complimentary shots by their friendly staff. If you want to be transported to another island without catching a plane MAÜ is the place to be.

Sexiest spot in midtown food is unbelievable tasty everything is fresh I recommend a 2lbs yellow tail snapper ,delicious

Everything from the decor to the live music and the exotic and fun menu made our experience lovely! The Island rice was incredible and the fried yucca was some of the best I've ever tasted! Our waitress (a Colombian woman) took great care of us. Would definitely go there again! The menu was quite diverse so don't assume it will just be typical Mediterranean cuisine.

I love the hostess at the front with a big curly hair.She is so friendly and inviting! I would definitely come back!!!!!!!!!! .

We had an amazing dinner and experience at MAU this past Friday night. The ambience was perfect for what we had in mind. The vibe and music inside of the restaurant was perfect not to mention the live band that was highlighted by the violinist. The service was great and the food surpassed our expectations. After seeing some of the more negative reviews online I was a bit hesitant on making the reservation but I decided to anyway knowing that not all taste's and attitude's are the same. I would absolutely come back here in the future and would encourage anyone to try it for yourself. A big THANK YOU to the staff for the Surprise Birthday Wishes which came with a show. Muchas Gracias a todos y escpecialmente a nuestra Colombiana.

Went to have dinner with my girlfriend and the place was very lively, there was a dj playing and some good drinks flowing. We liked the food, but what made the night was the service.

Highly recommended, service 10/10, all employees very attentive, delicious dinner, pleasant music and very beautiful and clean place, very good experience

I usually don’t do this but had to write a review. So we switched our reservations last minute from Kiki on the River (due to reviews of racism and bad food) but I wanted another place with both ambiance and deliciousness so we chose this place in midtown. Immediately when you enter the vibes have been set. The low lighting gave romantic vibes and the decor made me feel like I was at a Tulum beach club. The hostess were super sweet and accommodating as well. The drinks were amazing and I enjoyed their house bread and calamari. For entree we ordered the salmon w/kale and the island rice (must have to share) and the lamb chops. The bill wasn’t outrageous (20% service charge to be included) and we left very happy.

Excellent Service and Staff and Food I went there to propose while my Family was all together we had a Party of 9 the food Was Great and our server was amazing I told him about my proposal and he went Above and Beyond they helped me Create a amazing memory I will not forget

This spot is great for a night out, great food with a club vibe, hookah and great service David did an excellent job attending to all of our needs. Would definitely recommend the God of Fire roll and David as your server.

I recently dined at Maü Miami and had a wonderful experience. Thais added a personal touch to the evening. The food was outstanding, especially the tuna tartare and black truffle risotto. Overall, Maü Miami exceeded my expectations with its great food and welcoming atmosphere.

This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. I booked a reservation two weeks in advance for my birthday, my party was 16 people and it was supposed to be a prefixed family style menu at $90 pp. The reservation was for 10:30 pm which is when the restaurant atmosphere is suppose to be clublike .... I texted my hostess at 10 pm to make sure everything was in order, she stated yes they are preparing everything, I then told her that half of my party is already arriving. The hostess then advised that they were too early so they have to wait by the bar. At exactly 10:30 when myself and the rest of the party arrive, there is no table... the restaurant is completely full and crowded and all my guest were standing around waiting. When I spoke with the hostess she stated that her manager steated another party (that had no reservation) at my table that was suppose to not only be ready, but decorated and have have menus saying happy birthday. Let me add that I had to pay a deposit of $400, just to book the reservation. At this point it's been an hour, they keep bringing us cheap tequila shots to try to calm me down however I was furious. The manager kept lying to us about having another table leave, due to the being a 2 hour seating limit, that never happened. Not only did the restaurant staff ruin my birthday, they decided to bring bottles and a sign saying happy birthday while my party of 16 stood by the door, ( it's 40 degree outside by the way) after waiting 2 hours to be seated, like that was supposed to make a difference... the management then took us to the back of the restaurant by the bathrooms, pieced small tables together and sat us at 12:30 pm... I was mortified and so embarrassed because I promised my guest a beautiful dinner which each person paid over $100 to have and we did not get that.... Whatever scraps they had left (because the kitchen was closing) they brought to the table that didn't fit us, they keep forgetting to give silverware, they started to bring out food that wasn't ordered and still charged a $2000 bill. This was an absolute nightmare. This was the worst birthday dinner, I'm still in disbelief that this happened that way it did, I had really high expectations especially due to the fact that the restaurant is very expensive. If your looking for professionalism, this is not the place to go.

It's one of my favorite places in Miami! The food is so good, the staff is so welcoming, and the atmosphere is incredible. If I had to recommend ONE restaurant to someone in Miami, it would be Mau.

A friend of mind told me to go this place she referred to me and I went went for my birthday was amazing great ambiance dj was awesome everyone was friendly staff and all seafood is the spot here I would recommend u try this place inside is beautiful coco ceviche was my favorite we tried almost everything on the menu cause we were a big group everyone was happy

The experience was great for a Friday night. Food and drinks were good, what i loved the most was the decoration and the vibe of the place.

We were in Miami visiting our children and enjoying the likes of places like STK, Zuma…and thought this would be a good fit for us. Unfortunately a great disappointment and would not recommend. Will start by saying that the food was good. The list of disappointments, however, shaded the positive: The decor was..well…odd. Mediterranean it definitely was not. There was a couch swing in the front that couldn’t be used because a cocktail table blocked it from swinging. A giant television screen replayed the same 2-minute infomercial our entire meal. Service was mediocre. The beer was served warm. The side dishes came out 10 minutes after the entrees. A finished dinner plate was scooped up so quickly that it made other slower eaters feel rushed. While the food items were good, the menu was extremely limited and markedly overpriced. Again…would not describe it as Mediterranean. We think management needs to take a long look at what they want to represent here, as the location is a good one, but the current package is a mess.

I loved going to dinner, the music is great, the food is incredible, the desserts are a delight, but above all what a great service, thank you David for taking care of us in the best way, what a great server.

Terrible experience, I went to this restaurant with the promoter Ron (ig: @ronfromthevelt) who assured me that my whole dinner would have been free for me and my girl friends while it was not true: They asked to pay in cash 10$ to me and all my friends for ‘the service’ but the service actually was terrible: we couldn’t choose the menu, he promised champagne and there were not and they wanted us to withdraw cash under the rain (guess what, the 10$ could not be payed in card, easy to understand that money was ‘under the table’ …). After 10 times we asked for the dessert that they promised, they bought us ONE slice of cake to divide in 6 girls, without even the plats to share. Embarrassing. After our terrible experience, they wanted to convince us to club with them, and they were mad at us as they don’t understand the reason. No words, the worst experience in a restaurant in my life, the worst promoters ever. Ladies, don’t go really. It is not only money wasted but also unpolite people and a not safe environment.

Awful, overpriced food and SO LOUD that it is totally impossible to hear anyone. This restaurant is all hype with nothing to back it up. They play insanely loud music that makes it totally impossible to have a conversation - clearly, they are going for a nightclub vibe but all the decibels in the world cannot make up for the lack of customers, surly staff and terrible food
