Wings get 5 Stars all day long. Only one flavor but they nailed it! It’s a smokey spice —- excellent!

The food was excellent, as was the beer - totally recommend it based on that. However, the service was lacking - they weren't terribly busy when we got there, but even if they had been, that wouldn't have been an excuse for the crappy service we had. We had to ask at least three times for an extra set of silverware and another water, as they had served for six, but we had seven in our party. Then, the server told us that one of the featured beers was an IPA - it was a pilsner. Blatantly incorrect, and left several people underwhelmed by their choice, which had been based on her description. They didn't bother to ask for a substitute, given the lackadaisical attitude we'd witnessed to that point. Maybe if I were local, I'd give this place another chance - the food was worth it, and maybe we just had a bad server or an off night.

It was good, but nothing to try for your first crack of Pizza in the Atlanta downtown. It was OK, but not sure I would try them again.

Food is good. Beers are great. Service is superior to anything else experienced in this town. Vince took care of us and did it with passion and joy. I would come back to enjoy beers here with him anytime.

came here a couple of times - for a drink and took a take away. the pizza was meh at best - pretty tasteless with ordinary crust and toppings.

Downtown restaurant with $20 parking in back of the building. It was quiet at 6:30 and we were seated quickly and our delightful server, Katelyn, brought us waters and the four cheese brick oven bread appetizer and gave us time to examine the printed menu. The music was at a nice level which allowed pleasant conversation. Two of our party chose the Texan steak and were happy they welcomed substitutions for the sides. The other two chose the Rustica pizza and Basil Pesto Salmon. The steak received rave reviews while the salmon and pizza were good but not quite as remarkable. Our charming server was attentive without being overbearing. She even helped us sing happy birthday to our eldest.

Great bar/restaurant in downtown. Steaks were cooked perfectly, beers were delicious. Atmosphere was just right.

This was right next to our hotel and there was not much else within walking distance for dinner. We were really happy with the food and staff. The food was great, staff was friendly, and prices were reasonable for the quality. Our son loved the pizza (I did too!) and the grouper sandwich was great too.

Friendly staff! We shared mussels for an appetizer & they were really amazing. Should have ordered extra bread for the great sauce. Hubby had brisket sandwich and it was ok. I had shrimp and grits which was so tasty. My hubby actually took my plate and swapped his fries for my grits. Fries were good too. We are from ND so grits aren’t a normal side for us. But I have to say I would definitely come back. His word for decor is “rustic”. Bartender gave warm damp hand towels after app as well to clean up from the mussels. Nice touch!

Good atmosphere, good selection of food and drink. The in-house brewed beer is pretty good with a wide selection. We had a group of six guys, all tastes accommodated easily. The guys that ordered the steaks were happy but not thrilled. Get the wood fired pizza!

A group of us decided to eat here while we were in Atlanta. The place is great for large groups. It's located downtown, which is great if your hotel is located in the area, and you want to avoid the Atlanta traffic. The service was good. I ordered the basil pesto salmon. The salmon was good; the grits were horrible. I'm a southern gal born and raised. I love grits, and this is why I gave Max Lager's an average rating. How can you mess up grits? Overall, I still recommend this place for large groups. Everyone had fun and enjoyed their meal.

Wonderful food and service! Pizza was amazing as well as fish and chips. Would definitely go here again.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was right. Devin, our server, was phenomenal. He was spot on with how he described every beer we tried and patiently answered all our questions. The ones he recommended were the best. He didn't hover nor did he wait too long between table visits. His service was 10/10 in every aspect. If that hadn't already sold us on HIGHLY recommending this place, there's more! One of the employees randomly brought us each a cup of tortilla soup the chef was testing out. It was delicious! Spicy but not in a burning kind of way, very flavorful, and the consistency of the soup itself was right. The head chef himself came out a bit later to get our opinions on the soup (possible new menu addition he said) and he also provided genuine, good service. The prices were totally reasonable for what you get (which in my opinion, isn't often the case with breweries). AND IT IS LOCALLY OWNED. If we were locals, we would definitely be back often. Well worth checking out!!

This was right next to our hotel so it was very convenient. The menu had a good variety and everything we ordered was tasty. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I have an unusual allergy so they made my meal special, the server told me that it would take a bit longer but it really didn't. It's a fun place to go, lots of activity but not overly noisy like you'd expect. Definitely worth a try,

Very pleasant address. Good meat, good ribs, well cooked and well seasoned. Very warm and competent service. To recommend without reservation

We recently dined here. Pros: spinach and artichoke dip, Cowboy steak was grilled to perfection, mash potatoes were great, Creole BBQ Shrimp was good but too much juice from shrimp was on the grits and it took away from the flavor, red mule cheese grits are a good standalone side, the beer because they make their own, and Apple Margarita; Cons: fried were over cooked taste like they refried them, salad taste like coleslaw (I don’t recommend any salads), fish and chips, asparagus is good with sweet jelly on top, the utensils and glasses were dirty, and the service was ok. The hostess was very friendly upon arrival. The waitress took forever to come to table after the initial seating (the restaurant was empty). We had to flag her down several times. Overall, I will come back for something grilled and hope to get a new server.

“Smoke gets in your eyes” as the song goes. The smoke hits you as you open the door and then your met with a good selection of IPA’s. Not a bad start. Ordered the bbq ribs and they looks so good I forgot to take a before picture

Went on this place thinking, “ya know, I’m hungry. I think I’ll eat here,” but by the time I finished all my beers and ate both my appetizers and finished my rack of ribs and slaw and house cut fries and ate a plate of fried cheesecake the size of an armadillo, I drove on home and put a good slap on mom. Whew doggy, that was some good eatin!

I ordered the $28 Texan steak medium rare. The server brought out the $55 Cowboy steak and told me that the kitchen made it by mistake. I said ok no problem I like ribeye, I’ll eat it! What I got was a medium to almost well done steak that was lacking in flavor for $55. What I also got at the end of my dinner was a bill for $55 bc they charged me for the steak that THEY messed up. I didn’t complain bc it was a work dinner and I didn’t want it to be an issue but I won’t be back.

Fun atmosphere, great service, and good food. Get the fish & chips. You will not be disappointed. Don’t forget to try the Soul Fashioned.

This is our second time having dinner here & it was even better this time! The cowboy ribeye was cooked exactly like we ordered it, the Alaskan wedge was great, & the service was perfect!

My daughters both had the red velvet chocolate cake for dessert that was delicious and I had a MaiTai and a pizza that were sooooo good! Isa was our Server who just turned 21 recently so happy birthday Isa!!! Thank you for being so sweet and kind and accommodating us. You rock! Well done

Fantastic food and service, we have been to Atlanta for several days now and the service we received there by Se’Miyah was fantastic. She is the main reason what we had a perfect evening

Food was great but unfortunately service was bad non existent and when they did show up slow and non caring

The food and service was excellent!! Steak cooked perfect!! Our server was so attentive and welcoming !! We stopped after a show at the Fox Theater, not crowded at all like we thought it would be. You won't be disappointed!!

Underwhelmed would be an understatement. 5 of us arrived at 7.15pm on October 30th. The wait time was 30 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes, we finally got our table. 20 minutes later, a drink and 50 minutes later, food. To add insult to injury, they ran completely out of chicken, had limited options with burgers, and the fish and chips I had were not worth paying for. With such local competition, one would think service and customer satisfaction would be a high priority. Regrettably not. This one's worth a pass.

Our first night in Atlanta and this place had good reviews so we gave it a go. My daughter wanted a pizza, but wanted to change out 1 ingredient - the server told us his cooks wouldn't like it - so couldn't happen!! Quite pricey for what we received, thought the smoked Pork chop was great though. Pizzas average, drinks expensive. Wouldn't return, had much better food at a better price and served with more enthusiasm elsewhere.

Went with a fairly large group and everyone that ordered something but pizza got their food i a timely manner. Those that ordered pizza waited at least an hour and one never got it. It appeared others where getting theirs before ours but I can't be positive. The waiter was awesome and it seemed to be a kitchen issue. They definitely need to work out that issue.

The mussels are delicious! The sausage mixed in the mussels is a nice touch. We ordered a flight of beers and we weren’t very impressed. They are average regular beers.

We called for reservations and were told by Ryan that they were booked for the time we requested. Ryan sense my disappointment and asked me to wait on phone for a few minutes. When he returned he said he was able to get us on the list. On our arrival there was a line of people waiting to get in. A hostess quickly approached us as soon as we entered the door and based on our reservation moved us to front of line and seated us right away. Cory introduced himself as our waiter and was very pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant was very busy but Cory was always prompt to answer questions and make sure we had all we needed. Food was excellent. I had ribeye steak which was very tender and lean. My wife had the salmon which was undercooked. Cory quickly returned the dinner to the kitchen and with in 5 minutes they replaced the Salmon filet cooked to perfection. We loved the old brick warehouse look of the restaurant. Even though it was crowded it never seemed to loud. We highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Ryan and Cory for a great evening.

We enjoyed an early dinner before a show at the Fox. Good menu choices, food and drinks! I had the BBQ chicken pizza (enough for two to share) and it was delicious. We were also celebrating a birthday and the staff was kind enough to surprise my dad with a delicious piece of chocolate cake and brownies (his favorite). Friendly staff and neat atmosphere.

We found this place within walking distance of where we were staying and went in on a Friday at lunch and were seated quickly. Service was good. We sampled a couple of the beers and they were both good! I had a fabulous Mediterranean pizza with shrimp.

During an emergency trip to ATL for business, we took a stroll and found this place. I could tell form the architecture that it had some history (I'll let you search that yourself.) Atmosphere was very diverse and chilled. In major metros, expectations tend to be unrealistic. I was shocked with the service. Food was very good. I'm a craft beer junky and tried a few. Very nice. The server realized that and allowed me to roam upstairs in the brewery and interact with the brewing team. This was mid-day so it was refreshing and added energy to the day. I remember the Bourbon Brisket Burger being excellent, and I'm not really a burger person.

As for STEVEN! My husband and I were exploring Atlanta following our son’s basketball tournament. We had been here for 3+ days - this was as the first place we came to where we were WOW-ed! Steven was an amazing server! We enjoyed our drinks and time here! Thanks Steven! 7-9-22 5:56pm

Absolutely the most delicious steak I’ve ever had. The steaks are wood fired and the taste and juiciness was amazing. The crowd was awesome since Georgia was playing Alabama in college football. Steaks, beer, and college football...a perfect evening.

I ordered a pasta dish with vegetables and a vegetable sauce. The broccoli was mushy and the pasta was drowning in the vegetable sauce. It was more like vegetable broth.

It started with the home brewed pilsner, advertised as a real german pilsner, however it definitely did not come close to a german pilsner, not enough bitter hops and the beer had a sweetness like corn was used in the brew. The chicken wings we shared were good. The ribs I had were below average, too little bbq sauce on the ribs, and no sauce served on the side, so quite tasteless, French fries ok. Service not very attentive, difficult to get their attention and serving drinks took long each time we ordered. Prices ok.

Go here if you fancy a great steak, fried chicken or juicy salmon. This is a brew place too, but their own beer was not worth drinking. The beer we had was flat and tasted like the pipes needed cleaning. The bottled beer we had next was fine. Service here is below average.

Visiting Atlanta for first time and concierge recommended to try Max Lagers. Very cool atmosphere, tasty beers brewed on site. Ordered the wings and fries along with the Proclivity Pilsner. The wings were baked which gave them a slightly dry appearance but not at all dry in taste or texture. They had a nice flavor with a little burn at the end which was nice. The pilsner was very tasty. Definitely recommend this place!

We had a wonderful time here and the service was right in point. I had the creole shrimp & grits which were ok but didn’t have much taste to them at all unfortunately. My friend had the ribs which were some of the best I’ve ever had. The others with me had the pork chop and fried chicken and everyone enjoyed it. Highly recommend the fried cheesecake! Will definitely return!

Fabulous food! My husband loved his ribs and the grouper sandwich was perfectly cooked. We ended up taking a pizza and wings back to the kids and they loved those, too. I would definitely return here on my next visit!

My husband and I ate here during AmericasMart week. It was absolutely fabulous! We loved everything about the experience!

Worst restaurant experience in a long time. Two problems: The noise and the service. The restaurant was not half full but we were seated adjacent to a 12-person party that was celebrating something and they were noisy all night. The restaurant host was partly responsible as he was telling stories and jokes at their table. The service was terrible; only two of our four guests received their drinks at first, those of us who ordered beer samplers had to wait an additional 10 minutes. (The taps were being refilled we were told.) Then we had to wait over 45 minutes to get our food, which came only after I walked over and told the manager that we were cancelling our order and leaving. Oh, well, we'll have your food right out! The waiter, who was loitering nearby, was understandably worried about his tip, but unapologetic: "It wasn't my fault, I put your order in right away!" We'll not be back.

While staying at the nearby marriott we decoded to give this brew pub a try. We arrived at 5:15 and there was no crowd in the restaurant portion of the establishment but the bar was packed. We were sat quickly and our server came and got our drink order. We also ordered our meals once the beer arrived. I ordered a pizza that had pepperoni and sausage and mozzarella and it was good. The beer was ok, not the best I've had but worth it. One of the guys had the shrimp poorboy and was disappointed that the shrimp were the frozen verity and it was not said they were not fresh as all the items on the menu had the appearance of "fresh"

This Restaurant was located next to my hotel. Went there last night for the first time......Dude, WOW!!!

Had a great little (well hardly small !!!) meal here whilst in Atlanta. Would recommend this to visit, as well as pre-booking. Good value for money

This is a relaxed brew pub offering great pizza as well. We were warmly welcomed and excellently looked after by Brandy too. We shared the Beer Mac and Cheese which was delicious. For main we had a From the Farm and a Rustica which were both huge but the good news was we could take back to our room and eat the next day ! The pizzas were perfect. As for the beer I had the Always the Season IBA and the Foolers ESB , which to an Englishman , was just great. Also tried the Max Red again very good. All in all a good night !

Great service, great food. The biggest issue was they were overbooked so it was pretty crowded. What made it worse was someone broke their toilet and the only way for a guy to use the restroom is to go to the neighboring hotel. That being said, the woman who I talked to, not only brought me over and made sure I got to use the restroom but apologized multiple times and had a great personality even with a rough situation. On top of that all, my waiter was a French guy who was attentive and incredibly thorough. He made sure our food was hot and we were happy. I couldn't have had a better experience here and the 4 stars is only due to the restaurant being quite big and only having one bathroom. Especially with a full bar, I think a bathroom upstairs and in the restaurant would make sense. But will definitely go back again.

Decent place with nice ambience. But the restaurant ran low on entrees offered at 6:30pm??? I ended up with hot dog and it was nothing to write home about except that it filled my stomach.

Great place. Casual atmosphere. I had 20 wings. Cooked well; not mushy. They are smoked and perfect flavor. Bluea Cheese dressing is homemade and some of best I've ever had. Daughter got a Mediterranean pizza and it was excellent (I stole a slice) and has shrimp on it! Beer selections yummy. Chocolate cake desert is heavenly. Don't miss this place for food. Will say, however, service was scetchy. Had long periods of nobody coming, forgot my bleau cheese dressing and 3 different people showed up. Service needs improvement.

We returned to this restaurant after many years. The great customer service and delish food is still the same. Shout out to Devon Scott our server. He is amazing! The fried chicken is the best! My Husbands steak was good as well and the beer selection is wonderful. We can't wait to return.

Fun Saturday lunch. Several selections of their own microbrew on tap. I ordered the bbq shrimp and creole grits with toasted baguette. Right amount of spice and a healthy serving. Went great with the beer. Heard good things about salmon, salads and burgers. Definitely would return.

went to this place for office Chirstmas lunch party and was very disappointed with the food quality. Ordered Fish and Chips and they were a disaster. It seemed like they took out the frozen fish and did not even fully thaw before cooking. I could feel it was under cooked and even feel the water in the fish in my mouth which is what you get when you cook a frozen fish not properly thawed. I would not recommend this place for Lunch or Dinner.

The smell alone smacks you right in the face when you walk in the door - and it is excellent. Loved loved loved *loved* their wings. Also enjoyed the cilantro caesar salad - a nice twist for an old favorite. Will come back.

First visit was Friday February 1st 2019. approx 5pm, the gentleman working the upstairs bar was awesome, funny, friendly, great service. we ordered the Max Burger with applewood smoked bacon and cheddar, our burger was overcooked and needed something..a sauce maybe. it was kinda bland and dry, a sauce woulda helped and made it more tasty. the IMOS beer was excellent. 2nd visit, Feb 2nd, 2:15pm, went upstairs and ordered the fried cheesecake, it was amazing. we ate every bite !! served with a sweet sauce drizzled over it and ice cream, highly recommend this dessert !! 3rd visit Feb 3rd, after the Superbowl, approx 10:30 pm, ordered at downstairs bar, we wanted the fried cheesecake again, unfortunately it was not the same. maybe a different chef working? it was not nearly as good and we left disappointed. it was dry, the sauce tasted different than our first visit.. it was poor. a sad visit.

40 minutes went by before our order was taken, 50 minutes before I had my first drink, 60 minutes before food arrived!! Food was nice though & apologies were made for taking so long, i was surprised they did fish & chips ! Being English we thought we should see how America does it & nice but not like England, the pizza was really nice though, I would go back because the food was nice, let’s face it the service couldn’t take that long again could it ?

Food was great, the staff and service, even better!! CHRIS and SHANE were outstanding. They made our whole experience perfect! They recommended the fried cheesecake OMG don't miss out on that!! Everything was amazing 😋

Waited 20 minutes with nobody taking our order (wasn't crowded). I finally notified the hostess. Then, a server took our order and then pretty much deserted us. The food that was brought out was all too salty for me to eat. I went back to the hostess who got the manager. He took my meal off the bill, but didn't offer to make me anything else. We then waited another 20 minutes to get a bill and didn't get one until I again went to the hostess.

Devin, Devin, Devin. Ask for Devin! Above average venue with decent food. Draft beer selection was adequate. Not huge but a little better than most places. We were staying nearby on a weekender for a concert. Our server Devin was on the ball. We initially were going to get a beer and not eat. It’s not that Devin convinced us to eat, we just didn’t want to leave after the first beer so we ordered food. Devin gave us just the right amount of attention. Food is good. Beer is good. Location is good. Hospitality is good. It’s all good!

In town for the weekend. Max Lager's was close to the hotel and what a great find. Food, service were very good and there beer was off the hook. Next time I am in town a deff stop.

The staff was friendly and they were generous when the bartender mixed our order. The pizza was rather sweet, which I think is a thing in the south, but I would not recommend it. The IPA has a pleasant citrus taste with a touc( of malt. Pretty good.

Was looking for locally brewed IPA but told when I sat down that all IPAs were out! Settled for one of their pilsners, which was solid. Great fish and chips dinner. Was disappointed was they gave me a full Caesar salad and charged for it when I had advised the side salad. But enjoyable environment with friendly staff.

Found this place by accident. Thought we were going to a different place but ended up here, much to our delight! Walked in and immediately greeted by smiling friendly hostess. After being seated, our server immediately came by our table to take drink orders, then was quick in bringing them out to us. He took time explaining the menu to us. Our food arrived and everything was cooked to perfection, including the flavors! Filet, cowboy steak AWESOME!!! Filet was melt in your mouth, Cowboy Ribeye, wonderful flavor, with just the right amount of marbling. So much food, no room for dessert!

We ate two meals here during a family vacation in Atlanta. So good the first time we went back the next night. Our picky eater declared his pizza the best ever. Prices were reasonable, portions generous but not ridiculous, and staff was excellent.

My ribs were very good! My margarita was so-so. I ordered it with salt but it came without. I did not say anything as I figured I had consumed enough salt but the lack of salt did alter the taste of the drink. It is very loud in the restaurant... left craving less noise!

The food and service were great. I sat at the bar and the bartender, Erin, was perfect. She was friendly but didn’t hover. I stopped by twice while at a conference - she was great, remembered my drink preferences and everything. Also really pleasant to chat with. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a 6:30 pm reservation for 8 people and promptly seated at 7:25 outside in wet conditions. Ironically no one else seated outside and hostess/management not empathetic with our concerns about being seated outside.

We've been here numerous times, but after today not sure there will be a next. Perhaps management changed. Maybe we just didn't have the right look. Plenty of places to spend money that have similar menus, quality but other places must certainly be more attentive. Obviously they count on temporary hotel visitors rather than consistent customers.

We have been here for a dinner with colleagues. We took different things, and most of them were not well cooked. Beer was also not excellent, which is not good since it is a brewery. Only very good beer was the one at the chocolate taste. staff is ok

Nice brewery right in the city. Food was good and service was good. Very loud atmosphere. Nice selection of beers. We all had the personal pizzas and they were yummy. Looks like they had a private room upstairs for parties. Bathrooms up many stairs so not great for elderly or handicap but they may have a elevator. I just didn’t see it or use it if they do. Also apparently there is a secret dish that is not on the menu. Mac & Cheese hmmmm heard it was good.

Waited 40 minutes when told 25. Apparently they take your phone number, but don’t actually text when a table is ready (despite saying and receiving a waitlist text). Was sitting 10 feet away at the bar and never told our table was ready. Table service was good. Beer was ok. Decent IPA. Not a fan of their Pilsner. Food was a miss. Burger was well done (not medium). Grits were inconsistent with an outer layer in the serving that was fine, but a hard flavorless mass in the middle. Left smelling like a camp fire, as their wood fired atmosphere fills the restaurant strongly.

The food was good- not great but good. The awesome thing about this place was this super cute, quaint little patio out back. Not at all crowded. Nice and shady. And even though we were outside, the service was great!!

Reservation (thru open table) wasn’t necessary. Clunky reception, took a while to seat us, menus, silverware, water etc. the IPA on tap was good, but not remarkable. But my wife wanted a kolsch- that’s out. Or a wheat beer - out. Oh well. The grouper is out too. Fish and chips; fish was pretty good, fries boring. A pizza was a good sauce, but the crust was undercooked. All in all, very imperfect yet rather pricey.

If you are looking for ambiance along with a delicious steak that is grilled to perfection this is the place to go. Restaurant was spacious with a lot of decor. Atmosphere was wonderful and we felt as if we were right at home. Waiter served with style Would definitely eat there again. Centrally located.

I try to stay a way from burgers … not necessarily gourmet burgers, but those you get at the fast-food burger joints, so the gourmet burgers are a treat an Max Lager's did not disappoint. And, if I am going to destroy my diet with a burger, you can bet a beer or two are not far behind. The Bison Poblano Burger was great, made perfect to order (medium-medium well), and the fries not far behind. Ok, I like hoppy beer, so you have to go to Max Lager's Hopsplosion!!! IPA, but I don't believe its IBU rating of 100, I might give is a rating of 80, but even at that it was not a bad beer. All in all, great place that I would love to visit again.

A meal I will regret for a while for many reasons. Waiter must have forgotten about me as it took forever to place my order. My meal came out but not my drink. The meal contained croutons which I asked to be removed - there were still a few. Once finished I sat there, again completely ignored. I had to get up to pay and left without leaving a tip. Awful service and average food means I would not recommend or return.

The food options were amazing and the beer selection provided a broad range. We sat in the back so it was difficult to hear once it got crowded so I would recommend sitting up front if possible.

I went with a large group at a time the restaurant was almost full. One of the people from the group attempted to make reservations but was told the restaurant didn't do that, even though we discovered when we got there that a couple of other groups had reservations. We ended up eating outside, and we were there for about two hours. It was about an hour before we were officially waited on, but it wasn't too bad because some of the people in our group arrived later than others. Some of the people in the group ended up leaving before their food arrived and asked someone else to get it to go for them. Others appetizers seemed to be almost forgotten and arrived at the same time as the main meal. The waitress kept us well watered, though, and refilled our glasses after we'd barely drank anything. The chicken strips and fries were good. I don't normally eat fries, but I did then because I was so hungry and it was the first real sit down meal at a restaurant I'd had in a while. It was also one of the cheapest entrees on the menu. Toward the end of our time there, it looked like it was going to rain, so I tried to move further under the canopy/awning. Then the money I used to pay for my meal almost blew away, and I had to chase it. Thankfully it got caught in plants nearby. It took a long time to get change and cards back. Some of the people in the group said they didn't think they'd had a good experience. I know it took a long time, and there were a few hiccups, but I think it went fairly well considering everything. Also, one thing I thought was slightly odd was that the bathrooms were upstairs, and as far as I know, there was no lift or elevator to help handicapped people or people who have problems going up and down stairs.

The place was noisy and full of conference participants with their name tags. Larger parties turned back because of the waiting time. But as a solo lunch guest I quickly got a bar seat. Space was very tight. It was inevitable that I heard a man next to me trying to "mansplain" things to his female companion. My fish tacos arrived soon, but were not as flavorful as some I have had elsewhere. It came with a salsa sauce that lacked freshness and "sting". A reasonably priced place with efficient service. But not a place I expect to return to.

Good beers, good food, good service. I recommend the brick oven pizzas, the Rustics was delicious. The Max Lager IPA and ESB both hit the spot.

#1 the food was delicious. All the steaks were cook perfectly! The vegetables were fresh, seasoned nicely, & cooked perfectly. The food was served hot. It was a little noisy as there was a group upstairs doing group cheers & chants. This was fine with us glad they were having a good time. Our waitress Dria (name on bill, she never introduced herself) was rude and in an extreme rush. We were there for a relaxed family meal and not expecting a fast food experience. Example: We were ordering drinks & one person ordered a glass of wine. I was next I wanted the same wine so I asked him if he wanted more than one glass to see if we wanted to just order a bottle. He & another member of our group said they wanna glass also. I ordered a bottle. She was extremely impatient and walked immediately away. She brought water & other drinks. She set a glass of wine in front of person that initially ordered a glass. I said we ordered a bottle before I could finish speaking she rudely said “I know I only have 2 hands” we were all shocked. I said we wanted a bottle to share instead and she snapped “well he didn’t say anything” i said you didn’t give him a chance & she stomped off. She came back with the bottle of wine. She opened it and tossed the cork on the table. She said in a rude manner “Do you want to taste it?” Never showed us the bottle. I said “ yes I would if you have time” as we tasted she made an audible impatient sigh. Not sure what prompted her attitude but it did improve with food service.

In addition to their lager, they also had an excellent whisky selection, and a good mixologist. The shrimp appetizer was excellent with great presentation.

I stopped by this place following a recommendation. I ordered the brisket sandwich with spinach salad and a pilsner beer. It was delicious and in decent price - only 26 USD (including the tip). The only thing is that I asked to sit in one of the booths but although the restaurant was almost empty, I was denied. I think there should not have be an issue to sit me there...

Just recommended the place to a friend who is coming to Atlanta to work on the Super Bowl next month. Good selection of beers, pizza was fine and service was attentive and not overbearing. Nice spot downtown.

Certainly the menu looks great. The service, not so good. The food came to the table in pieces. Evidently they were not ready for large crowds.I was the last to get my food and most of my table had already finished. I ordered a fried chicken dish that I thought was horrible. It had a sweet pepper sauce that was also salty; very salty. The bad thing was they were out of the majority of their signature beers, oh yeah, they are a brewery; not good. I guess overall the food was decent, I ordered the bad dish. The biggest complaint was the poor service. Maybe you will have better luck than me.

We enjoyed dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday night. Friendly service and great food. We had steaks and fish. The sides were delicious too! Nice selection of beer. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

The service was slow, they were out of several choices of entrees, and beverages. The food was ok, nothing special. There's plenty of other choices around the area. You might want to try one of those instead.

Great overall experience. Our waitress Tiffany was awesome and made sure we felt welcome on our trip to Atlanta and offered several suggestions of things to do while we were in town. The food was great our favorites were the lemon pepper wings, firecracker wings, and marguerite pizza!

Here for a conference, our hotel faced this unfamiliar restaurant. Pictures strategically plastered on elevators and other hotel high traffic areas intrigued my hungry party enough to give Max Lager's a try...and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was soooo tasty! My very finicky child chose their basil lemon shrimp and went wild over the great taste. I chose their lemon pepper wings and was very happy too. Now that we have tasted the quality of their good food, we plan to return to this family friendly restaurant and go for the gusto on their menu. The food was worth the wait (which wasn't very long for a Saturday). The prices were average. The decor was acceptable. The location was perfect for a jet-lagged traveler on a tight schedule. Can't wait for my next visit to explore more of their menu. Food: 5/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 Noise level Loud, but you can still talk Seating type Indoor dining area, Bar area, Outdoor patio / terrace, Booth seating, Counter seating Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Free street parking, Paid street parking, Valet, Paid parking garage Parking Close to hotels and convention centers. We arrived late on a Sunday so I will give them a bit of a pass. The hostess handed us a menu with the majority of dishes (including all of their pizza) crossed out and told us if we wanted any of the remaining menu items we were welcome to dine. We were hungry and tired and ended up ordering burgers - which were delicious. Our service was good.

Went from nearby hotel to find late snack,10:00pm. This was recommended by the valet. Good feel when finally got in (was walking and dark almost went in back door). Loved the decor and atmosphere. Only had pizza and drink. Was alone so service was sketchy at times even though not very busy. However, food runner and another waitress were very attentive. I’m sure getting ready to close. I would definitely go back and take the family.

Had Devin as our waiter and ate exactly what he recommended and the food and drinks were excellent. I would recommend the “Cowboy” and obviously the house made brews (Demon d’ors was my favorite). Great food, great atmosphere and great service.

Arrived in town and wanted someplace close to our hotel. This was within walking distance. The fish and chips were fantastic. Husband had the mussels and these were also great. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We ordered take out on a football Saturday. The burgers and fries were delicious. The wait was a short time. I would definitely eat here again.

My husband and I walked into Max Lager’s at ~7pm on a Thursday night and were told it would be a 30-45 minute wait for the table. We only waited ~20 minutes which was fab. The decor is nice - leather booths, chunky wooden tables and a modern industrial style. The waitstaff are attentive and friendly enough. We tried a couple of the brewery’s own beers which were decent but not my favourite beers ever. The meals were also decent. We had the Texan steak (cooked perfectly) which came with a mountain of chips and broccoli and the Cajun spiced shrimps. A cool joint but I think if you’ve been there once you wouldn’t need to go again.

Went here this past weekend and loved everything about this place. Drinks and dinner for fantastic. Wife had the porkchop and I’ll have to say it was the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely incredible. I had BBQ shrimp and grits. Also very good. Waiter was great and prices were very reasonable. Will be back often.

The good is that once we finally got our food it was tasty. The bad is we had to send our pork chop back twice. The first time it was cold and raw in the middle. The potatoes and veggies were cold. The manager made a 2nd one and that came out medium rare. Not good for pork. He took that one back to refire and it came out well done and dry. What does it take to get a medium chop? They did remove it from the bill but we were very disappointed in light of the other good reviews.

Took a while for a server to knowshe had a table but service was good. Good was above average. The house made beers were excellent. Would certainly come back.

Place has great food (amazing grits) and a really cool upstairs where the tap room is. Fairly priced and service was quick.

Our crowd had an excellent meal there. Those that loved their brew were more than satisfied. The steaks were made exactly as ordered and the chicken was juicy and great. The chocolate cake dessert was moist and mountainous. All six of us had a taste and it was still hard to finish.

visited here last December and found this brew pub then and fell in love with the beer and food and when i returned again this time with different co-workers i suggested we eat here. they were all happy with this suggestion after we ate here as the food was all excellent and the beer very good. you cannot go wrong with anything on the menus here. i had the pork chop and it was excellent

Nice place, good ambiance, good food, friendly personell, quick service and not to expencive for a good meal

My flight was delayed in Atlanta, so I got out and explored a little. I came here for dinner and did not regret it. The atmosphere combines the desirable qualities of the old-fashioned South with the relaxed vibe of modern breweries. The beer list is unique and interesting. I had the BBQ chicken pizza, and it was unlike any I’ve had before. The ingredients were super fresh, topped with smoky delicious sauces. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I was too full for dessert, but saw there was a fried cheesecake and a unique, decadent take on key lime pie. If I come back to Atlanta, I’ll save some room for these.

Went here with my wife on a Sunday night, they were not very busy but it was kind of late, 8:00ish. Food and service was very good.It was a short walk from our hotel (Marrott Marquis). I had a steak and my wife had a burger and both were very tasty, the fries were excellent as was the fried cheese cake we had for desert.Good atmosphere, warm and cozy.

My husband and I had dinner here before going to a concert downtown last week. Not only was the food delicious, but we were very impressed with the friendly and attentive wait staff. We started with a perfect manhattan, then split a wedge salad and hamburger. Our server's name was Ya-ya, so ask for her if you want a great experience!

Corner suite on main road. No restaurant parking. Lots nearby to park at- paid parking but free at certain times. First impression visit. Order (📸): 2 drinky drinks, Lemon Pepper Wings, Salmon with whipped potatoes and asparagus, "The Manhattan" NY Strip with green beans and whipped potatoes Total = $104.58 Pros: Nice dim and calm atmosphere. Special attention to their beers and beef. A cute place for couples or a chill laid back vibe. Cons: No restaurant parking. Drinks came after our food even though it was not crowded. You can tell how empty it was by the pictures. Would I Recommend: No due to lack of parking and service. Food dishes are common - you can get these dishes anywhere.

I've never had a bad meal. I mainly do the steaks. This time I did the Manhattan with extra potatoes. Done the way I ordered, med rare. Everything tasted great. Like I said, this is a restaurant I go to every year during DragonCon. Only disappointment, I was told by the server, they didn't have their own Root Beer. They make or made their own.

Very enjoyable restaurant with reasonable prices in downtown Atlanta. Good burgers and pizza etc,. Pleasant atmosphere. Plenty of seating and easy to get to find if you're from out of town.

We took a group of 20 and they did a great job keeping up through drinks, appetizers, mains and dessert. The starter menu included flat breads, chicken wings, quesadillas, and chips/dip. The mains include a pasta menu, steaks, pizza, seafood on grits, and salads. All was fresh and well prepared.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A GROUP EVENT or try to arrange one. Horrendous communication trying to put together a group event. It became non-existent after a while from just asking a few questions! This type of service was all I needed to surmise that the service at the restaurant itself was non-existent then I looked at prior reviews and it confirmed it.

Supper friendly staff, big comfortable venue, clean bathrooms, a menu with many choices to drink and eat even vegetarian dishes. Prices are reasonable. I enjoyed myself at this little gem.

We stopped here for dinner on our first night in ATL. This place is welcoming inside and smells awesome even from outside! We made reservations for 6 on a Saturday night and were seated right away. I tried a flight of draft beers and all of them were great! My husband has the fire roasted chicken plate and I had the grouper entree! We both loved it and think we will be going back again before we leave to try something else! Also the service was great and friendly. Only word of caution is that the only bathrooms are on the second floor and require patrons to climb stairs to use them. Not a big deal for most but good to know.

We had a wonderful time here and the service was right in point. I had the ribs which were some of the best I’ve ever had. The others with m had the pork chop and fried chicken and everyone enjoyed it. Will definitely return!

This is a tale of two visits. One of my own, for an evening dinner. The other of a pre-planned and confirmed conference-closing party - that couldn't happen. So first, about my experience. I was new to Atlanta, in town for a two-day conference. Since I'm from the way-west coast I usually arrive on the east coast a day or two early to 'naturalize' to the time zone changes - four hours is a big change for an old clock. I wanted dinner and talked to the hotel concierge who suggested Max Lager's - only a block-and-a-half away. I hoofed it over there and was seated promptly. The place is interesting to look at as it is a made-over factory or something like that. It appears much of the former life was left in place and decorated around; it looks nice and 'feels' fine. The menu is pretty extensive and complete and the beer/ale list it long and includes a lot of locally produced beers. I chose a 'flight' of their best to sample, and a Creole BBQ Shrimp dinner. Table service was okay - neither really slow, nor top notch. The flight arrived and I began my taste test; the flavors were described pretty well. I can't remember all five of them but one was great, two were very good, one was okay and the licorice, well...I got to the one listed as having a bit of a 'licorice' flavor and found it very accurate - enough so that I almost choked. I despise black licorice and should have avoided that one at all cost. I didn't finish the whole flight at any rate. The Creole BBQ Shrimp plate was very good; not quite excellent, mind you, but very good. I was a bit disappointed in the portion, but it wasn't too small. The 'gravy' was okay and the Red Mule grits were good. I don't know what the baguette was supposed to be there for other than filler. The Key Lime Pie, a standard 'test item' for my tastes, was very good. Not quite in my 'best' category, but it seemed better than the typical 'out of the box' KLP. All-in-all, it was a satisfying meal but not the best I've had. Now for the 'blew it.' The two-plus day company convention was held within a couple of blocks of Max Lager's. The closing item in the convention outline was a gathering at Max Lager's; they even passed out some 'one free beer at Max Lager's' tickets on the last day to connive any laggards into showing for the final event. It was scheduled for 7:30-9:30 with reservations already made. I showed up on the street corner at about 7:20 or so and found a few of the conventioneers standing around. It took only a minute or two to understand that there seemed to be a problem. The organizers weren't there yet but the place was completely stuffed with people - none of them us. And the staff at the entry had already told the 'early shows' that there was no room in the place for us; ANOTHER COMPANY had booked the upstairs that we were supposed to have and we were cast to the winds. We had been 'dead-ended.' Shortly later the organizer - the one who made the reservations prior to publishing the convention outline - showed up and was told the news. The founder, the CEO and the planner were all both stymied and stopped dead. Some of the others were already being resourceful and actively seeking another venue for our party to move to - and they found one. Of course, that still left no way to reach the other 20-40 people who were going to be trickling in over the next half-hour or so. Most of us split for the new place - the Publik Draft House (see review) - which was a good half-mile or more away. A couple stayed outside Max Lager's to redirect the lagging revelers. I'd give Max's a ONE rating for that move, and a FOUR for the meal I had; so I averaged it to a Three.

My wife and I visited Max Lager's on our second night in Atlanta while staying next door at the Hyatt Place Atlanta Downtown. It is away from the main downtown strip and appeared to be popular with local office workers (celebrating a birthday perhaps?) and hipsters. Good service and a great selection of beers and cocktails, including a number of home brewed types including a Belgian type beer at $6 (good price given fairly upmarket nature of the place). I ordered a Beef Brisket sandwich (Burger) and fries which was very good. My wife went for the Crispy Shrimp and fries which she enjoyed but which wasn't the best choice.

Atmosphere was a typical bar & grill. Noisy. Food was pricey, about $20. Fish & Chips were great but the fried chicken was just average. Servers were very busy but the service was still great. Bathroom are upstairs but there is an elevator for handicapped.

Delicious food and beers! Quick service, even when very busy. Would definitely visit again on a return trip!

Stopped in for a late lunch and a drink to start my vacation. I ordered a bison burger, and it was my first time I had one. The taste is definitely different from beef, but it was good. The bun was the perfect pair to the burger and fries were terrific. I got a flight of 4 beers and they were all fantastic. The bartender was amazing! He was wearing multiple hats (bartending, hosting, and serving tables) and was busting his butt, and still provided great service to me and the others at the bar as well as seated.

Was at the Georgia World Congress Center for a conference and wanted to have a dinner a little off the beaten path. This is only a 15 minute walk from the convention area, which was just far enough to not be crowded. Service was good, selection on the menu was good, food was good, and prices were reasonable. Overall a pretty good win-win in my opinion. A few of us had the Fish N Chips and it was excellent.

The location is convenient to several of the major Downtown Atlanta Hotels. The steak was not outstanding but tasty. The pizza was tasty but served cold. The manager asked for feedback with most of the guests. I expect he will make an effort to this oversight.

There is nothing that stands out here. I had the farm pizza. It had lots of cheese and a good tasting crust. Their beers are ok. Bottle list was out of date when I was here.

On a business trip, I ate there twice and ordered two different things and both were really really good. The deserts are good too and very good draft beers. Worth a stop if you're staying in downtown Atlanta.

Fun atmosphere, great food and a good variety on the menu!! The staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommit friends and would definitely go there again!

I ate with some work friends at Max Lagers on Feb 11th, 2019 and we had a great experience. Food was great and Service was great too. We had the Pork Chop and Texas Steak at our table and everything was cooked and tasted really good. Even the fries were very good as was the Cheese Bread appetizer. It was hard to hear the server because of the environment, but overall we had a great time, had great food and will return in the future for sure. Thanks!

This restaurant has to be the worst value for money, poorly organised, worst service in the whole of Atlanta. I had to wait almost three hours to get food - two hour wait for a table I had booked, the service was appalling, then having taken two hours to get the table a further hour after ordering the food - making matters worst - they kept coming back saying that they had run out of this, then run out of that. and even worse when were eventually finished our meals they brought out the appetisiers. This restaurant must live to literally 'milk' people and companies attending the congress centre, because in a normal environment not dealing with out of towners - they would be out of business. has to be the worst restaurant in Downtown Atlanta, I would go as far as saying worst restaurant experience in the whole of Atlanta. Their excuse ..... "We can't get the staff" well here is a tip - pay them a decent wage instead of a p*** poor basic wage

This was disappointing. Online beer menu out of date, wrong food order taken and served, starters served at same time as mains, wrong beer provided and tried to be passed off as something else by server. We left as soon as possible

We arrived at 6:30 on a Thursday evening and were seated right away. With a choice of inside or outside, we chose a table on the patio. From the moment we sat down, our server (Joe S.) was friendly and attentive. My wife and I both wanted to try a variety of beers and he offered some great recommendations for our flights after learning more about what we like. I ordered the New York Strip and it was perfectly prepared. My wife ordered the Cobb Salad with chicken added and said it might be one of the best salads she has ever had. We’ll be back when we visit Atlanta again.

Overall their beer was great. Food was good, however not sure if I'd say this place hits it out of the park. Probably because it was very busy and we had to go upstairs to eat. They were short staffed. Table was sticky and had to ask the staff to wipe the table clean after the previous guests which was a huge turn off. Food came so quick that we were in the middle of our appetizer which wrecks the ability to enjoy the appetizer and company. I'd return, but I'd like to try their main dining room in hopes I'd get a little better service.

The place is really nice and the food is great. Drinks available on tap and they have different seating areas. Big screen for watching the games. Service is fast also. Definitely you will enjoy the gathering with friends.

Food and service were good. It was a bit loud so hard to have a conversation for a business group dinner.

Terrible. We waited 45 minutes for a server even to come to our table. When we said we were ready to order she walked away saying I will be back. She didn't come back. We didn't stay for food. So I cannot comment on that. However there is a fantastic Mexican with great service just around the corner.

Cute place with great food and service! Love older buildings that are refurbished into new places. Great place to hang out with friends over a beer or two... make sure you check out upstairs where they are made. Had the Crispy Shrimp and Shrimp and Grits - both delicious! Plenty to fill you up - so unfortunately, no room for dessert. Waitress was efficient. Yes, go here.

We went here with a large group and the wait staff was very accomodating when we had extra people show up. Everyone enjoyed their food. When I could not decide if I would like any of the beers on the menu, our server brought me a sample without asking.

We were the first people to walk in the door when it opened at 4pm. Kaetlyn immediately came to our table and took our order. We wanted to order wings but were told it would be another 20 minutes before we could even order them because they wouldn’t be ready. We ordered chicken, a burger and a pizza. As soon as we ordered she brought us water and then we waited and waited and waited. At 4:50 I asked for the manager. He came and explained how they were short staffed and they called people to come in. I understand that no one wants to work anymore which is very sad but then tell us that when we ordered. I would have ordered an appetizer or we could have chosen to go somewhere else. At 5 pm the pizza came and 5:10 the chicken and burger came. The food was good but unfortunately not worth the wait. If they had been open and honest from the start the review would have been different

Max Lager’s was recommended by front desk employees at Hyatt Place, where we were staying at, next door. Great restaurant! Employees were friendly and helpful. Helped me decide on which of their brewed beers I would enjoy. Food and drink menus had delicious selections for all. Food & service was great!

Brewery atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The Sanfransico Asain salad and Vegetarian pizza were both awesome. The four cheese bread appetizer was small and not that flavorful, so skip that. I would definitely eat here again

If you are staying at the Hyatt Place in Atlanta, make sure that you try Max Lager's. They are the next door to the hotel. In addition to great food, they have many great draft beers to pick from. Don't let the outside fool you if you see it. It doesn't look like much, but is really nice inside. Give thema try...

In fact, the beer is very good, but the food was awful. I had the fish & chips and my wife the wild battered shrimp. The chips in both cases were a disgrace. Thin, floppy and cold. In both cases the batter for the fish and shrimps was too thick and it was not possible to detect any other flavour. The cocktail sauce with the scrimp turned out to be ketchup. Perhaps they do better with the meat dishes.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful. Walked here for the Hyatt Regency which was super easy and had a great meal. Would specifically recommend the pizza!

Stopped in twice in the same day. Both times trying different beers that are crafted in house. Great tasting. The two burgers I had were both bison and one had pablano peppers and the other was blue cheese and bacon. Both were seasoned well and tasted great. I'll definitely come back to try more selections that are there to offer. The table next to me had pizzas that looked and smelled great too.

Food was great and fresh. The service was a bit spotty. I will definitely give them another chance as the food was delicious and the beer was cold.

We went for something to eat one evening and were very disappointed. The food wasn’t good. In particular the fried shrimp was very dry and overcooked.

Didn’t even end up eating there the host was the rudest person I have ever dealt with he yelled at a coworker was rude to everyone waiting and heard him tell another group they were lying about their reservation. Several people walked out mad. It was ridiculous.

I am a bit of a microbrewery snob. Well this place passed the test. That some really good beers. Worth a pint or 2....3....

Great dinner. Really good variety on the menu. I had the pork chop, grits and mashed potatoes. Friends had the pizza and flat bread which were all wonderful. Top off and favorite was the fried. Cheesecake ala mode!!! YUMMMM! Highly recommend saving room for dessert!

There is a great selection of beer and a good atmosphere. The mussels are a must for a starter. The menu has a a good selection and all the food is very good. The chicken and brisket were amazing. These service was just right, they always keep your drink full.

We ate here 3 days in a row. First time because it was convienedly next door to our hotel. But we went back because of the good food, nice staff and the location. We can really recommend this restaurant !

We attended a corporate event in connection with a large conference down the road at Hyatt Regency. The just staff had no idea about the event. Not sure who was to blame. Finally after 20 minutes directed us to some nearby tables. Then ask us to move upstairs after another wait. No drinks or appetizers offered. Upstairs service improved. Food was typically bar offerings. Probably would not return.

Was able to sit at the bar with no wait time. Service was good and fast. Creative Beers and good priced moderately.

A nice little place for a good bite to eat and good craft beers. I visited on a Wednesday evening so it was not that busy. Service was adequate that is why I only gave a 4 star instead of 5 stars. If you are staying local to the downtown and are looking for a place to walk to and eat I would suggest Max Lager's.

We were at the Georgia World Congress Center for a show, and wanted to have a group lunch nearby but not on site. We found this the way most folks do these days. When we first arrived I thought Waze had lost it's mind. There is a public parking lot about a block for Max Lager's but nothing directly next to the restaurant. The nearby store fronts were empty so I was a bit concerned... to no avail. Once we entered the space it was very clean, well kept, and was actually very cool. Great ambience. The menu has pizza, salads, sandwiches, and a few mains as well as appetizers. The salmon BLT was particularly good. Price was mid range but inline with expectations. Recommend.

Went to Max Lagers because of the location and that they brewed their own beer along with serving food. Atmosphere was nice, beer was good and food was a little pricey for the quality of the food. Overall 4 out of 5.

Had a lovely visit. Decided on a slow meal and was granted a nice experience. Was able to get a sample of the beer I picked out and had the Gulf Shrimp appetizer and a burger. Food and drinks all good. Service excellent, payment was completed at the table.

We really enjoyed our visit. Right away with the wood fired aroma when you walk in to the old brick and metals architecture. We had the flight of beers which were all really tasty. The barbecue pizza was excellent. Service was really good as well. Very convenient location near Hyatt, Marriott and several other hotels

If you are a fan of craft beer and really well done tavern style food, Max Lager’s should be your go to place. They have a wide variety of craft beers on tap from pilsners to ipas to stouts. The food is terrific. Sliders and bbq shrimp were big winners. The added bonus is the weather was very nice and the patio was the place to be.

We had an awesome waitress who made excellent suggestions as to what we should eat. The food was really delicious and the chocolate cake was wonderful

I usually visit here a couple of times per year when I have a conference. I have tried many entrees and all have been solid. The fish n chips this time was fresh and lightly breaded. The fries are truly great. Seasoned well and very flavorful. The fried cheesecake is their specialty and is hard to resist

Had the Rustica flat bread pizza and tried several of the local craft beers. Nice atmosphere and good selection.

We were in Atlanta for a conference and wanted somewhere close by the hotel where we could walk for lunches and dinners...we found that place in Max Lagers. Easily walkable in the Peachtree Place area and great ambiance with the brewery in there too. We actually ate here twice. The first time we came for lunch and all had salads and sandwiches. I had a smoked turkey sandwich with fries which was good, but huge! The second time I had the PPO Max flatbread which was delicious, bug again, huge--easily could have fed two or three of us. No complaints from us...easy to walk to, good food, fun atmosphere. A little bit pricey, but all in all a good experience both visits!

Stopped in for a bite and some beers. Ordered the Flatbread appetizer, very good with the balsamic drizzle. Ordered a flyte of beer to figure out what we wanted. Would recommend if you get the chance.

Convenient to our downtown hotel. Ate dinner early, so there was no wait...but they do take reservations. Nicely decorated, with professional and friendly staff. Food was good.

Stopped in here with colleagues during a business trip to Atlanta. It was within walking distance of our hotel. Our group had pizzas, fish tacos, and the chicken sandwich. Everything was good! Service was good, drinks were good. The restaurant was clean. I'll go back if I return to Atlanta.

Our servicer was very overwhelmed, he had 6 tables sat almost all at once. Super slow service, our appraiser and dinner came before our cocktails!!! After our meals finally came he never came back to see if we needed anything. The food was mediocre and bland. They just can’t handle a crowd. The management should of stepped in to help.

We experienced great food and atmosphere at Max Lager's! The craft beers abounded and the wood-fired pizzas were delicious. An added bonus was that it was directly across the street from our hotel, Inn at the Peachtrees, and within walking distance of others.
Great Spot
I went here last night ( a Saturday night) with a friend for dinner. I wanted a slice of pizza (which they don't sell) so I ended up getting a marguerite pizza (half cheese half pep). The description of the cheese kind of threw me off because it said buffalo mozzarella so i thought it had like buffalo sauce or something on it but that wasn't the case. The cheese was just really good! Seemed seasoned in a sense, a great cheese pizza. Prices are reasonable as well. My cheese pizza being $13 with a dollar extra for pepperoni and the steak being $26. The texan came with fries and broccoli but we got asparagus which was great!! My friend ended up getting the texan, medium rare and he loved it. Felt like it was definitely cooked the way it should have been. We were able to park in a lot because my friend works in the area but other than that you would have to look for street parking. The place has a nice calm ambience, not loud, dim lighting. Our server's name was CAT and she was great. Did a phenomenal job of checking in on us, providing us with our requests, giving needed input when it came to us making decisions and she was just a happy person! She definitely added to the experience with her joy and knowledge, and she really just made us feel extremely welcome. The experience was overall a great one. The bar was full so we could not sit there but we were able to be seated immediately which was great. I would definitely return.
