YUMMY STEAKS!

By Patty A |

Food was amazing, we were there to celebrate our daughter's sweet 16. Our server Anya was friendly and checked on us often. Steak was cooked perfectly. We ordered a cheesecake and Anya brought it out with a candle for her birthday. Everything was great, we will be back.

Wedding Weekend

By shez4ou2 |

Came to Vegas for my sisters wedding. On the day of our arrival, we had a late family dinner here. We tried Fellini's but they could not seat 9 of us so we came next door and had a great experience! The wine was wonderful and the food, even better. Great service! definitely worth the price!!!

Delicious food

By David A |

Went to McCalls tonight and had a delicious steak. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, nice decor. The staff was very helpful. It is located in the Stratosphere Casino, but when you are inside you don't feel like you are in the Casino. I recommend it highly.

Two for two!

By MaurizioTOI |

Staying at Stratosphere hotel for Shot Show expo, decided to try this venue out. Excellent food, exemplary customer service! So good I went back a second night. Shout out to my two servers Kevin & Adolf. You two are an asset to this establishment. Thank you for a great experience. Cheers!

Not great

By TeamMac |

Four of us went here to have dinner. We were not acknowledged by anyone until we told the busboy that we have not seen our waiter yet....after over 20 minutes of sitting there. Finally the manager came over and asked us what we wanted. He did not explain the menu, any specials or anything. We ordered our drinks and our food at that time because we were not sure that we would see anyone again. The manager took care of us the rest of our meal and was very attentive. Can't overlook the fact that we waited 27 minutes to order anything though. The food: a couple of us had the prime ribeye and it was just ok, not worth the $34 price though. Wine by the glass selection was decent and reasonably priced. We all agreed that we would not eat there again with so many choices in Las Vegas. The experience was consistent with the hotel....mediocre.

OMG! Awesome Expereince!

By Savvy Saver Suzy |

Ok ... so we decided to try "hotel food" ... well ... McCall's was AWESOME! We were blown away by their "Surf n Turf" platter. Plenty of food for each of us! Service was great! And the "house bread" was a definite crowd pleaser since we asked for two refills! All-in-all, a great choice!

Nice restaurant

By BigBill65 |

The best part of the trip. Excellent food, great presentation, superb service. Substantial wine list. Higher-end prices, but you get what you pay for here.

Great Restaurant for dinner

By Nathalie J |

I've eaten in this restaurant in several occasions during my visit in Vegas. Food is delicious, texture is great, wine list is amazing and they have some good wine on that list as well. The staff is the absolute example of friendliness and knowledge. Definitely worth visiting if in Vegas for a nice dinner with your loved ones.

BEST food EVER

By kjean11 |

Literally the best food AND drinks i have ever had. The dinner i had here was the most flavorful and just all around amazing i have ever had. Not only was my meal amazing i got a Mojito Sunrise to drink and it was so amazing. I also love the atmosphere, its very modern but very comfortable. Shout out to our bartender/waiter Bobby who did an incredible job taking car of my mom and i. Its kind of hidden but seriously so good. We split the chicken avocado burger and a wedge salad! Very highly recommended! Will come back!!

Birthday Meal

By brooko123 |

15 of us ate here for my 50th last Friday 24th Feb and cannot complain about a thing really other than a slow start with the wine menu and drinks. The food is first class and decent portions and appx spend was c$80 per head with a couple of drinks. We had a cocktail in the Sky Lounge bar at the top of the Stratosphere beforehand and it set the tone for a beautiful evening. Christo, the restaurant manager was very attentive and catered for us all In a separate dining room which was a nice touch, even if a little quiet and away from the ambience of the main restaurant.

Saturday night dinner

By gareth0 |

We were seated right away. Server was pleasant but not very attentive. Portions are huge and the food was hot and tasty. Prices Ok for what you get, and overall a nice experience.

Really want to come back for Happy Hour/Not sure it's worth it.

By csoden |

I rated this 3, only because the food that we had was amazing. I so wanted to love this restaurant. We have been waiting for years to be here at the right time to try it. We were here late evening, but not late enough for half price Happy Hour specials. The hostess took us to our table, but it took quite a while before someone came by to take our drink orders:water--a hard one. Next someone came by with a small cone filled with very tasty breads. It was probably 20 min before our waiter came by. While we were sitting there, we noticed many wait staff--each doing their separate little piece of serving the tables. We also noticed someone who appeared to be one of management. Not one person noticed we had no bread plates. I took the napkin from the extra place setting at the table to put my roll & butter knife on. We ordered & shared an appetizer platter--- maybe our order wasn't big enough to warrant much attention. Literally noone came by our table after the deliverer brought out the appetizer---again with no plates to put our food on. We watched tables around us getting anything they needed. We flagged down someone for water refills, and my husband actually said "we DID take showers this morning". I also finally asked if we could please get some small plates. We even had to ask for our bill, and after he went to get it, he was cleaning off tables and resetting them before bringing it to us. Only then did he ask if there was anything else that we needed. The food was delicious and presented on the platter beautifully/the bacon wrapped shrimp with peppers was amazing!! The service was disappointing.

FANTASTIC!!!

By Shimma818 |

I don't write reviews but this place deserves one! I got the Seafood Trio, hands down the best seafood I have ever had! I am from Boston and we know good seafood! The crabcake was huge!!! and so fresh. Don't even get me started about the lobster tail and huge pieces of shrimp! Nick was our server and he was so nice and always checked on us to see how we were doing. All around an amazing place to go eat and even have a drink cause my Margarita was amazing!! A+++McCalls you definitely will be seeing me again

Dinner before MJLIve show

By Hickoryview |

Had an excellent dinner here. Our server was nice. Everyone had a different dish. My daughter ordered off the menu and they made it for her.

Great meal, great service, great atmosphere - We will be back!

By DebraMathis |

The customer service was top notch, food was prepared exceptionally well, taste was outstanding. Waiter couldn't have been any better. Very romantic.

Birthday dinner

By msg |

I went to a private birthday dinner and I must say that it was magnificent!! The food, the staff, the drinks everything was on point!!! We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful meal

By 24QueenBee |

We purchased a Travel Zoo coupon for steak and lobster tail dinner and it was terrific! The Caesar salad starter was a good size, the steak was prepared as ordered, the lobster tail was sweet and tender served with melted butter and lemon. We totally enjoyed our meal and ice cream desert!

Birthday trip

By Yvonne F |

My husband took me here for my birthday dinner, the food was amazing & staff where very friendly, would defo recommend to everyone xx

Lovely Meal

By Lizzie56 |

We had a lovely meal here both me and my partner had a steak and we both said that it was one if the best we had eaten. Definitely would recommend we stayed in vegas for 11 nights and this was one of our best meals well been here. We even managed to squeeze in a dessert which also was lovely.

Nice atmosphere

By Trip725735 |

The ambience of the restaurant was quite pleasurable. I had the lobster twice baked potato and the chicken piccata. Out of those two dishes, I favored the lobster potato the best. To me, the chicken piccata needed a little more seasoning, but other than that, everything was great.

Excellent food!

By goflyfishing877 |

I had dinner here twice during my stay in Las Vegas! The food was excellent and so was the waitstaff! I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant!!

McCall's

By Lisa W |

We had dinner Saturday night. The service was amazing and the food was great it was perfect. The manager came over a few times to check on us and that was pleasant.Must try it out great food I believe it is better that top of the world. The bar has some great specials too.

Excellence defined.

By mark c |

Stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino this past weekend. One of the highlights was McCall's Heartland Grill. Great selection of steaks & seafood, as well as pasta selections. Excellent service. Great food. I had the fish & chips. My wife had the seafood pasta, and my brother had the steak. All arrived as advertised and were all cooked to perfection. My fish and chips were as good or better than I've ever had, and that's saying something. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices are in line with most other Vegas restaurants of this quality. You can spend more and get way less.

Prime Rib!

By Parris F |

Have been seeing pictures of McCall's prime rib around the Stratosphere for some time and finally had a chance to try, Interesting that McCall's actually opens at 3 pm, which is early for Vegas steakhouse options. Nice if you want a later lunch or a very early dinner. Arrived a bit after 4 to just a few other people dining. Dining room is on the dark side and away from the casino sounds. Nice relaxing setting. Wife ordered a pineapple margarita, had a spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer, and the prime rib, obviously! The dip was real good with bigger pieces of artichokes and spinach, Nice change from everything being ground fine. The prime ribs were excellent. Two portions are available, 12 oz and the 20 oz, and potato comes with. This was one of the better tasting cuts that we've had in Vegas. It didn't change in taste and texture as it got cooler. Service from Steven was spot on! Nice option for dinner.

nice surf and turf

By tim s |

bought a coupon on trip adviser to McCalls at the Stratosphere, was a little hesitant since the resort is pretty far north on the strip with it was only a $7.00 Uber from Caesars and we decided to catch the MJ Live show while we were there. What a great surprise, The Resturant was very nice and modern, the hostess and wait staff friendly. We were visited by what I assumed was the Manager or Maybe head Chef while dining, the deal included soup or salad, Filet and Lobster Tail and desert. Everything great, my wife had the French Onion soup, I the Broccoli, the steaks were cooked just right, lobster sweet and desert great. even won a few bucks while in the casino waiting on the show.. I'll go back!

Evening out!

By timothylK8342EC |

Enjoyed our meal. Did take a while to receive our entree but worth the wait. Enjoyed the romantic setting.

Good Food at a reasonable price for a Strip establishment

By SCABob |

We used a Travel Zoo promo coupon for this dinner. The waiter was outstanding. Very knowledgeable of the menu items and promptly checked when we had a question about an item being gluten free. The promo was for steak & lobster and the food was very good. Lots of it!! We added an appetizer (Applewood Bacon Jalapeño Wrapped Prawns With guava barbecue sauce and roasted lemon) and it was outstanding. We'd come back just for this. We are locals and this restaurant is a bit out of the way for us; however, the food was so good that we have decided to return. Would recommend this restaurant.

Great salads!

By C_Brina |

After flying in late in the day, McCall's was a great dinner. The wedge salad was refreshing. Good bar service too.

Not Recommended

By Joseph R |

Visited the restaurant on an off day. Only 6 other tables were occupied. Ordered a 20 ounce prime rib, and a house salad. The wait staff was superb, the salad was fresh and crisp. The bread was cold and stale, the potato was cold and half baked and the prime rib was also only warm. The meat was however was well aged tender and delicious. It was also served with a soggy tempura battered onion ring that was also cold. Had the restaurant been busy, things may have been better.

Pleasantly surprised

By Ben H |

We did this before jumping off the stratosphere and enjoyed it. I didn't expect anything fancy or amazing, but the menu offered something for everybody and people liked what they got. It was relatively inexpensive compared to other dinner places in the strip, so I was happy with the choice to eat here.

great steaks

By Nathan H |

My wife and I had an excellent dinner MCall's. The food was prepared quickly and quality was better than expected.

Amazing experience!

By Dale S |

Being locals we often don't dine out on the strip but McCall's was well worth the trip. From the excellent appetizers to the savory steaks. The service was wonderful and the guest service was top notch. Our waiter Kim did an excellent job and his manager Robert went out of his way to help celebrate our groups birthday and anniversary showing class by offering us wine and deserts for us to celebrate our special occasion. McCall's is a must visit if you're looking for a fine evening with you're loved ones on a special occasion with great food, great service and good prices.

Super

By Marvin J |

Very nice restaurant with great food and service. The Ribeye was one of the best I’ve found anywhere. Not inexpensive, but worth every cent.

Very good place to eat just enough or a lot!

By hiker82 |

Nice and excellent service even if we ate only a delicious salad for me and a nutritious soup for my husband, with complimentary delicious breads and sticks. Nice decorum, quiet and dark lights. And reasonable prices.

Excellent food and service

By Tim D |

We used a Travelzoo promotion for steak and lobster for 2 for $75. I will say that the food was outstanding and the service excellent. We were there on a Friday night and the place was sparsely populated. The lobster was perfectly cooked and all of the food was delicious. I would recommend eating here if you are near the Stratosphere.

Awesome Place

By sueclay070116 |

Went there for a family get together and was very surprised how quickly we were seated and the waitress brought our drinks. The food is home style cooked and the taste is amazing Anyone looking for a home style meal at a great price I would highly recommend this place

dinner

By jerry c |

Went here for dinner. We did not have to wait. It was a nice place on the high end cost wise. Are total bill for dinner and ice tea was close to 100.00. The food was good. A few thing that were strange. The meal came with no salad, or vegetable. Other than that, the food was excellent. Would I go again? Don’t know. I would probably look around. The price was steep for what you got. I do not need my plate to look like it came out of a magazine, just want it to taste good. I would have that night but was tried and hunger so settled

amazing food

By agrasser2017 |

First dinner, my first night in Vegas. It was amazing! Staff was super friendly, food was great, drinks were great and not too pricey.

Dinner before our show

By Jochfi |

This is a wonderful restaurant. Quiet , clean and the food and service was fantastic. . Richard helped us with the wine selection, as well as giving us valuable details about various meals. When we come back to Vegas, we will definitely return!

Make this a regular spot

By Peggine T |

Every time I'm at THE STRAT, I be sure to indulge in this gem of a steakhouse. Satisfying wine list, live music on the weekends in the bar and the food is superb! The Tri-Tip Quesadilla is one not to miss! Beware, the portions are sizable, but so worth taking the leftovers back to the room!! Discreet but attentive wait staff rounds out a delicious experience.

Nice steakhouse

By cannonater |

We went here using a travelzoo coupon.( incredible value) Steak and lobster..3 course meal, very good sized portions and our server Nick rocked it! Took the time to explain the meal and sincerely got to know us. We will be back.

W.O.W.

By Chandler L |

Have just left this restaurant... Explained to our waiter, Mark, that in England we have 3 basic steaks...rump, sirloin and fillet,,,so we asked for his recommendation. He said the filet mignon. My wife and I have over 100 years between us...and this was our BEST. MEAL. EVER. Cooked to perfection. Amazing taste. It was the most expensive meal we've had at $130...this was for alcoholic drinks, our main meal, sides and a cheesecake,,,ALSO OUR BEST DESERT EVER, but it was so, so worth every penny. I cannot stress enough that you should try this restaurant. We were unsure after reading some negative reviews, but it was truly amazing. We leave for home in 2 days, but sincerely hope to fit in another visit. WELL DONE McCalls, Mark, your chef and all the other staff.

6 guests— terrible food & service $300!

By DA H |

We were there this past week for a convention. The service was terrible at best! Appetizers eaten, plates and dishes still on the table when dinner was delivered.,45 minutes later. Party of 6 including business prospects. Onion rings were thick but the breading fell off all of them. The sampler was very tiny, as were the items on it, sans the shrimp, which was good! The French Onion Soup was good. My Chuck Steak was horrid— I asked for medium and got rare, it had many chunks of ground bone and wads of gristle. Two at the table had filets $35-38 each, rare when it should have been well, mashed potatoes over salted, uneaten. Our friendly Bulgarian server was missing for most of our meal. Again, the dishes were not cleared. The table was so large that we had problems hearing each other in conversation. We spent $315 including tip and will not recommend this to anyone. Buyer beware!!!!!!! Go to Fellini’s!!!!

Great place to come eat and relax!

By Connie S |

Food and service was great! Staff was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable of food and drink choices. We definitely visit again on next trip.

Food was 5-Star

By Abbie G |

I have no words to describe how amazing the food was here. Every bite my boyfriend and I took, we literally could not say anything except how amazing it was! We both had seperate orders (the sample platter and tip quesadilla) and everything we ate had so much flavor. Strongly recommend!! A little slow getting our check but I asked him about the Dreamtrips qr code and he knew exactly what I was talking about.

Overpriced Dry Food

By Paul D |

On our first night at the Strat, we decided to eat at McCall's. Based on the price for cuisines, I was expecting the food to be of a higher quality. The bread that came out was dry and tasted old, my wife's lobster was leathery, and my BBQ platter was full of tough bland meat smothered in BBQ sauce. The dive restaurant across the street had better food than this place did.

great happy hour

By ROBERT T |

We went for happy hour, two for one drinks and half price apps, 5- 7. Only in the bar. We ordered the tenderloin tip quesidilla and the chicken wings. You got 8 meaty wings with celery and dressing. The quesidilla was cut into four pieces and were great! Both items came to under $10. My wife and I were stuffed.

Average food

By Nosrednac |

After drinks at 107 we had food at McCalls. We had the half rack of ribs and chicken alfredo. The food was average at best. The ribs were very well presented and tasty although they were a little fatty! The chicken alfredo looked and tasted poor. There are definitely better places to eat in vegas

Don’t Overlook McCall’s Heartland Grill at the Strat.

By Mac Brazel |

When in Las Vegas, you can’t miss the iconic and colorful STRAT, which is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States, reaching up to 1,150 feet. The restaurant at the top of the tower is great, but most people don’t realize that the simple and practical grill located in the casino below the tower is even better. McCall’s Heartland Grill is a cross between a family cafe and a swanky Las Vegas dinner club. The menu has many affordable options for steak, salad, seafood, and alcoholic drinks. This was a family dinner, and we all got different kinds of steak. My daughter had the filet mignon and grilled shrimp, I had the ribeye, and my wife has the New York steak. Each steak was perfectly seasoned, seared, and baked to perfection. We took the opportunity to sample each other’s steak and we all agreed that the filet tasted the best. We ordered a dinner Caesar salad which was large enough for the two ladies to share. The wait staff didn’t care they were sharing and even brought over an extra plate. I also tried the Blackened Corn & Beef Tenderloin Chowder, which was the highlight of the night for me. This chowder is perfectly seasoned and garnished with roasted tenderloin pieces. The flavor is so intense, it will blow your mind. None of us had any room for dessert but maybe we can try this next time. The service here is top notch and friendly and based on food quality and the facility, I highly recommend this place. This place is proof you don’t have to spend $200 per person to get a fine quality dinner in Las Vegas. But plan ahead. Reserve your table before heading here. Also buy your observation deck tickets on line through Vegas.com to save some money on the ticket prices. Overall a great dining experience.

McCalls's is one of the best

By Mark777333 |

I have eaten at McCall's many times over the past several years and each time my experience has been outstanding. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is simply some of the best I have ever experienced. On my last visit I had the filet mignon... it was cooked to perfection. My waiter Marc made this experience even better by the level of amazing customer service that he provided. I would highly recommend McCalls's Heartland Grill to anyone wanting a fine dining experience with out the high prices found elsewhere on the strip.

Great Service

By Philip P |

I go here after my comedy show every night. The service is great. The price of the drinks is just right for the Las Vegas Strip. This is our go-to location in the Stratosphere.

Really nice place

By jeff h |

There are lots of great places in Vegas and this will go in our book as one of them. Both the food and presentation is exceptional. If you're at the north end of the strip (Stratosphere) it has my recommendation.

Good service and food

By Aline S |

It is a worthy option of you are nearby Stratosphere. We went for dinner and our food was very tasty and well prepared. They have a good menu and service with affordable options.

Rude Bartender

By APRIL J |

We decided to eat dinner at the bar after viewing the Strat, female bartender was rude the whole time, had to wait for menus and had to ask for dinner and drink menu twice, bar counter was dirty and I asked her to wipe and she couldn’t reach and we offered to clean it but she was still rude. Fish was over cooked, good thing I decided not to eat. I was actually afraid the female bartender would spit in my 2 drinks.

Excellent Meal

By Kiule |

We came here for my birthday dinner before the Sammy Hagar show because it was convenient and in the same hotel as the show. We made reservations that morning and were seated right away upon arrival. The atmosphere was perfect, low light, dress is business casual. The waiter was very friendly and asked if it was our first time there, and we took up conversation with him. He brought us water and the most delicious butter rolls to start. The menu had a good selection of options. We started with the Blackened Corn & Beef Tenderloin Chowder which was to die for, me and my boyfriend split that, as to not good to full for our dinner. I had the whisky braised short ribs and my boyfriend ordered the salmon. Both were very delicious. The short ribs melted in your mouth and very flavorful. The short ribs sat on top of mashed potatoes and broccolini on the side. The salmon was also delicious and seared to perfection with an amazing flavor only those restaurants have. The restaurant filled up fast as I think many did come before the show. Service was efficient and waiter was very pleasant. This is restaurant is not to be missed if staying at The Strat or before seeing a show there for a very good meal. Sorry no pictures, I forgot to take come.

Fatty Prime Rib

By Navigator54923743956 |

This is the Prime Rib they served me. Didn’t expect that much fat. I didn’t send it back because I’m not one to complain. Other than that the server was outstanding!

Disappointing...

By Karen M |

Went to McCall's in the Stratosphere last month while in Vegas. Were going to the MJ Live show and wanted a good meal close by beforehand. We ordered a seafood dish with crab cakes, lobster tail, and something else but the lobster was raw! Because we had a show to get to, we didn't have time for them to remake it, so we just went to the show hungry...such a disappointment!

Very tasty

By Jklsud |

Very good food and excellent service. Ate there twice and recommend the Cajun shrimp with polenta. Desserts are nice too.

Excellent food and service

By wellfedman95 |

Me and 2 friends were stopping in the hotel so came for an evening meal, we were served by Alfonso who couldn't do enough for us and really helped us out by telling us the best things to do in Vegas and explained the menu very well. I had the steak salad which was excellent and my 2 friends had the special and they said it was also excellent. The steak tasted like it was made from the Vegas widows tears. (Which is English for very good).

Underwhelming and disappointing

By Gisel C |

A group of friends and I went to this restaurant based of a recommendation saying how great the food was here. I admit the appetizers were very delicious but when it came to my meal (filet and potato) it was very disappointing and frustrating honestly. I had ordered my first at medium after speaking to our waiter and he assured me that the cook makes them very on point. When my filet arrived it was clear that my steak was over cooked as I cut into it was cooked all the way through. I showed my waiter and he offered to have it redone properly. This time I just asked him if they could make it "medium rare" I figured this would a better option. After waiting 20 minutes my filet finally arrived completely charred and again mostly cooked through. At this point I was very disappointed and group I was with all had finished their meals by this time. A woman who I assume was the manager at the time offered me a 'free dessert' to make up for the steak. Unfortunately, I could not have any of the items they had to offer due to food allergies. In return for the bad meal I was offered 50% off my steak ($17 dollars)! At this point I just wanted to leave. I was so upset by this experience and felt they should have comped my meal as it was their issue. I will never go back to McCall's nor will I would recommend it to anyone. If anything, I'd let anyone who asks me to NOT go there.

YUM!

By Island-Mavericks |

I've got twelve words for you: Applewood Bacon Jalapeño Wrapped Prawns with guava barbecue sauce and roasted lemon. So darn good.

Enjoy some great food in a lovely setting.

By Veronica S |

Located at the Stratosphere, we went for dinner before going to a show. The ambience is lovely, there is a fireplace. There is a full bar and we were there for happy hour. The server was friendly and attentive. The menu is limited, but the portions are large and includes starters, soups and salads and entrees. One of my friends had the French onion soup and BBQ pulled pork sliders, another had the slow roasted prime rib, another friend and I shared the fried chicken (half a chicken), served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and broccoli. All of the food was beautifully presented and delicious.

Great Atmosphere and food

By DavidLowe0228 |

We had a Travelzoo coupon for this place or we would not have eaten here based upon the expense. We had the filet mignon with lobster and it was outstanding. For dessert we had vanilla ice cream with berries and the berries were so fresh. This restaurant is to expensive for us, but it has outstanding food.

Great food & service

By Lalonde22 |

All around really good food and very reasonable prices. It was a pleasant surprise and discovery. Service was also amazing!

Yum!

By crazybdagirl |

Came here for a friends birthday dinner. Food was so delicious! Had a ribeye steak was cooked to my liking. Will be back!

Yummy food

By miriam19572015 |

Great restaurant, nice food, good service and the people are rely friendly and nice we had a great time and we eat too much, desserts are to die for.

AVOID

By chalkyuk |

Avoid like the plague. I would have rated a 0 if I could. Visited this evening and the food was stone cold. Manager was a total ar**hole. Took the food away and brought it back 3 times and was still stone cold. After complaining all the 'manager' threatened to do was to have us removed by security. Managers name was Andrew Nusbaum. Please do NOT waste your money.

Perfect date night!!!

By 54pennyn |

Cozy atmosphere with great food. Waiter was exceptional. We went after seeing MJ Live and it was so worth the money.

Excellent

By JJP |

The stratosphere has taken things up a notch with multiple renovations. This is their main floor steak restaurant. Subdued lighting and nice background music. Excellent service. We had an amazing meal with a steak you could cut with a fork. Prices were not bad considering the obscene prices at a lot of other Vegas strip restaurants.

Great

By Robert T |

Had dinner here last night with two friends when visiting the Stratosphere, excellent steaks and reasonably priced! One of my friends had the calamari starter and it was the best he'd ever had. Great service from our server Kim, there was a wee wait before main course came out but she kept us informed and apologised for the delay. The food was definitely worth the wait!

Sad to say avoid if you are a fussy eater

By Paul_tyrrell82 |

We visited here as our last night in vegas and had some good reviews! Firstly very accommodating that we had not booked, a short time later the waitress came over and asked if we were ready, we ordered the sliders and the beef tips wrapped in bacon (well done) and no sauce. The bread came out and the top had clearly just been dipped into cheap butter and brought out, it was dry inside and tasteless. My sliders came out and tasted nice, the beef tips were undercooked and sitting in sauce, after sending them back they returned still not cooked as wanted and again sat in the sauce even though we took it out. We asked to speak to the manager and stated how the starters had not come out as wanted and how our drinks had not arrived and we had been sat there for 20 minutes by this time. He was very apologetic and did remove his starter from the bill but shortly after the waitress came over “did the manager help you” in quite a snarky tone and the fact that our drinks still hadn’t arrived and the food wasn’t to standard just set the tone for the rest of the meal. I ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo and the other half ordered the beef fillet steak with French fries. They don’t substitute any items so he has said no sauce no mash just fries. The Alfredo had more sauce than and entire spag bol for 4 people, the blackened chicken was warm not hot, the broccoli bless it needed a man of the cloth to bring it back to life. The steak was cooked well although it did look as if the plate had been present at the slaughter. The venue was clean and tidy hence why it wasn’t given a 1 but some real basics messsed up this time.

Great Happy Hour

By Felicia B |

Apps and drinks are great. Happy hour is one of the best in Vegas!! We discovered this very late in our stay. Won't make that mistake again!

Great Steaks, friendly service

By Juliesonthego |

Visited McCalls's for an early dinner. The decor and atmosphere is relaxing. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We were very thirsty and are waters were always kept filled - an appreciated gesture. All four of us ordered steaks and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and great taste. Price is moderate and fair. Would eat there again.

Amazing

By zultr |

The three of us went while we were on vacation in vegas. Food and service were amazing !! Between us we had two apps calamari then spinach dip. Our entrees were salmon , fish and chips and steak. All of our food was very good, my only complaint was I wanted more bread !! It was so good but I needed room for entree so I stopped at two pieces.

Good solution

By Stefano V |

If you stay at Stratophere i suggest this resturant, nice and clean; I took a steak and was ok for quality and service

Good Food & Service, but Mixed Value & Awful Cigarette Smell

TD;DR: The food was pretty good and our server was fabulous. However, the value for the food you get is a hit or miss depending on the dish and even though we were pretty deep inside the establishment, we could not escape the smell of cigarettes from the Casino. I'm personally sensitive to that stuff, so those two things are enough to take one star off. However, if they improve blocking the smells of the Casino better, then I'd probably bump it back to 5 stars. I also have a tree nut allergy and it was safe for me to eat here with the items I got. Food & Value: (4/5) We were lucky to have a couple of $25 coupons for this place and that allowed us to grab more items than we normally would to really try some things out. That might skew our perspective a little on the value of the food since we didn't have to take the brunt of the cost as much, but we'll try out best to be impartial. Appetizers: * (5/5) Complimentary Bread - That was really good bread. It was nice, soft, and buttery, but it really only had 4 slices total. Probably for the best as we could easily gorge on it. * (3/5) Beef Tenderloin Skewers - I did enjoy the flavor of these, as they were quite savory and the glaze with the chimichurri was quite good. However, I don't know if this dish is of good value. We only got two small skewers and so we split them with each other. If you want your appetizers to be filling or sharable, this isn't really great for that. If you're wanting something light though or is just for you, this is a good choice. However, for the price it really isn't worth it for me even if I was the one to eat it all by myself. I would recommend skipping this one for most people. * (4/5) Lobster & Shrimp Dip - I'm not a big fan of lobster or shrimp, so this was something that my husband got. He really enjoyed the dip and the garlic bread pieces had possibly a lobster butter washed over them before being grilled since it had a hint of that before being dipped. I would say it's great for a single person or to be shared amongst the table. The presentation isn't bad either with it being served on a cutting board and the dip being in a tiny cast-iron container. The value I'd say is still questionable as it's probably better for a shared table than if you're trying it on your own. It could be considered too pricy for what you get. "Soups" & Sides: * (5/5) Short Ribs Chili - This was really good for a chili and the cornbread that came with it was super soft and sweet. It also pairs well with the complimentary bread that you get. I wouldn't say I could single out the quality or flavor of the meat used as the chili itself is pretty overwhelming, but it was still enjoyable and filling. This is probably the best flavor-to-value item on the menu they have, as it's well priced for the quality and presentation you get. * (3/5) Mac & Cheese - This is a weirder mac & cheese that I personally wasn't a fan of, but could see others possibly liking. Coming from someone who previously had Gordon Ramsey's smoked gouda mac and cheese, I was expecting a similar experience because it used smoked gouda. I was sorely mistaken. I had chopped BBQ brisket added to mine and maybe that messed with things, but this mac & cheese wasn't very cheesy and instead it was a savory-sweet barbeque mix. I'm not a fan of BBQ sauce and the like, so I could only eat a little bit of it. The brisket pieces were actually very good, but that sauce was just not what I was expecting. I could see others enjoying a BBQ-flavored mac and cheese, so it might rate higher for some than for me. The value is also pretty good, though adding the brisket might make it less valuable for some depending on how you value the flavor. This is another dish though that I recommend for good value and flavor if the flavor is what you like. Entrees: * (5/5) BBQ Platter - One of the priciest things on the menu, but you are given a lot to eat and you get decent leftovers out of it too. You get ribs, brisket, burnt ends, baked beans, cornbread, and a coleslaw served on a cast-iron flat-pan. Whether you share this with someone or eat it yourself, my husband enjoyed everything except the coleslaw and beans (though that's because he was more focused on the meats) and I ate his corn bread with my chili. He definitely wasn't able to eat it all, especially with the appetizers we got earlier, but they would make for great leftovers for him. If you're looking for a little bit of everything or wanting to save on costs and share a meal with someone, this is a great choice. * (1/5) Lobster Tail - My husband wanted to try a lobster tail as well on top of everything else, so we got one with my entrée order. It in his opinion wasn't anything special, and for the add-on price, I'm giving it a 1 star. It is ridiculously overpriced for such a small tail and it doesn't have anything to really add to the experience. You get more value and flavor out of an appetizer, side, or soup/salad than this. * (3/5) 8oz Center Cut Beef Fillet - The first time it came out, they cooked it wrong, as I asked for medium and they gave me an almost burn well-done. However, they were very kind for replacing it and even gave my new one a less burnt finish because I didn't like that. It turned out much better and what I was expecting in the end, but I still don't find it worth the price. I'm a small person, and so while this was filling enough for me, the quality and size of the meat don't justify the cost. You'd probably get more joy and filling with the ribeye over this. Dessert: * (5/5) Complimentary Ice Cream - They offered us some complimentary ice cream since we were celebrating our anniversary and it was quite cute and good. My husband let me enjoy it all, but it was a nice touch to the evening. Also, the dessert was safe for me to eat with my tree nut allergies, so that's always a win for me. Service: (5/5) The service we got was fabulous. Our waiter was nice and fun to chat with since it was a bit slow when we went and he was very accommodating to my tree nut allergy. And even when the chef messed up my meal, they were willing to rectify it swiftly without issue. We gave our server a nice tip for the quality of work he did. Atmosphere: (2/5) They're trying to be a causal, but kind of fine-dining establishment. You can dress nice, but they have no dress code. There was someone playing piano and some of the songs that played were funny, but probably break a fine-dining immersion. When you hear all-stars from Shrek and various Disney songs like Hakuna Matata, it's interesting, but odd. They at least weren't played bad. The worst thing though is the cigarette smoke. No one was smoking in the restaurant (that I could see at least), but the smoke from the Casino would just stink up the entire place. Maybe it's better during the day, but it would suck having to smell that our entire meal. It never went away. If you're hoping for a smokeless dining experience, I can't recommend this place even if the food is good.

Sorry Not Sorry

By Dvyne |

My plans for a birthday celebration were absolutely ruined! I chose this restaurant as a first experience for myself and my partner. I made a reservation for 8p on 11/30/2019, only to be contacted at 7:47pm to say that they are unable to seat due to a generator issue. Of course I was beyond livid, I thought to myself maybe this was a small mishap that might be resolved in a short time. However, after speaking with Andrew (manager), the following day I was informed that this issue occurred as early as 3pm that day, and although not anticipated and hoping for the best, calling a patron 13 minutes before their reservation is absolutely unacceptable & quite inconsiderate, and loathsome. I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I had already purchased a Groupon to have this "great" dining experience. Speaking w/Andrew was even more infuriating, because I basically got "Sorry, not Sorry" and a half a** apology. Murphy's Law shows that yes things happen sometimes that are beyond our control. However, how you handle those certain occurrences is what shows due diligence and consideration for someone else's time can also go a long way in building rapport and trust. This is far from a rant, this is an expression of and for those who are told "Sorry not Sorry" instead of given a sincere apology for an absolute mistreatment of a patron's time and money! Most people just walk away with that nasty taste in their mouth and never speak on it. I am NOT one of those people! Thank you!

A Surprise at the Strat

By C.J. |

This was a pleasant surprise. I waked in with no expectations. The staff were great and the food was fine.

Very disappointing

By OhioUKgirl |

Very disappointed in our experience there. The only saving grace, which saved it from a terrible rating, was the complimentary desserts which were actually very good. The restaurant itself is very nice, modern and clean. Our waiter was nice enough but clearly just doing a job, not overly chatty, interested or attentive. We were a party of 6 and ordered 3 appetizers. The calamari, potato skins and French onion soup. The soup would've been tasteless but for the overpowering use of rosemary which was pretty much all you could taste. The broth by itself was bland. I have no idea how steak and cheddar cheese potato skins can be tasteless, but they were. The calamari was ok. On to the mains and the real "issue". I had selected the sirloin and the waiter advised for $1 more I should choose the house cut sirloin as it was less fatty and chewy and a "better" cut of meat. I happily agreed. All I can say is if that was better than the other then thank goodness he directed me to the "better" option. Absolutely disgusting meat. No seasoning to speak of and ridiculously tough. My husband and I both ordered medium, which in fairness the temps were correct but the meat was awful. At $24 each while not bank breaking I have seriously had better steaks at half the cost at chain restaurants like Applebee's or Ruby Tuesday's. Both my husband and I left our steaks with only 2/3 bites taken. A third member of our group had ordered the same and left a good half of his. When our waiter came to clear our plates he made no mention of the untouched food, but I will say even though he didn't acknowledge it to us, he sent a manager over to our table. The manager asked what happened and I explained the steak was very tough and we could not eat it. He apologized and asked if he could get me a beverage, which I politely declined. He offered dessert which we did accept, and was nice enough to send out a selection of 3 desserts. I must say the desserts were excellent and far better than the apps and mains. While I appreciate the manager coming to our table and apologizing and providing dessert, it was still frustrating to pay full price for inedible food, complimentary dessert or not. A $10 dessert doesn't make up for $70+ worth of uneaten steak. Definitely would not return :(

Nice Place

By normajeane73 |

We got a Groupon for this restaurant and decided to try it out. Good food, great warm atmosphere, friendly and prompt staff. Will be back.

Nice Experience

By ryates2016 |

I enjoyed the experience. This where the wedding I was attending had their reception and I was pleased with what was served. Our waiter was awesome ...as a matter a fact the entire team that served us was phenomenal.

Superior

By Roy W |

Mr King the Manager went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. The staff and food was 5 Star. I recommend to everyone that I know is going to Vegas. Superior to all others in every way!

Check out happy hour drinks and food

By huwdm |

Great bar near the back North elevators. 4 still 6 PM is happy hour so beers for $4 and light bites from $6. Really good value, nice decor and friendly place to be. Also groupons of you eat in the restaurant section.

could have been better

By Foxpaw51 |

seafood fettucini was overcooked, after taking out of the buffet from 2 days ago. should have had the steak.. apps were good, butter was really butter cream frosting from the wedding cake dept. steaks looked good, but i had one at the rooftop steak house the night before and wanted to risk the seafood. Don't. waited forever to get the check, that costs the waiter. rest of the party had steaks and they looked fine, doneness and plate appeal. good use of jalepenos throughout.

Awful steak

By XUEGANG Z |

I ordered a beaf steak but it was really awful, I was shocked actually it was hard to cook steak as unpalatable as this one.

Great food and excellent service

By Paula S |

My husband and I had dinner last night here for the first time. We were greeted and seated immediately. We had reservations but they would have been able to seat us if we hadn’t. There was live music that was loud from the lobby so we asked to be seated where it was quieter so we could hear each other talk. We were seated in a booth and it was perfect. We could still hear the nice music. Our waitress was GiGi. She and the staff were amazing. We had the steak and lobster. The portion was good size especially after my soup. All the food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The bread basket was complimentary and had no less than four types of bread. We had dessert of ice cream with fresh berries. The ice cream itself was just average but the berries were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed our night and look forward to going back. The prices are on the high side but the food and service are great.

Amazing!

By CET1956 |

We enjoyed the most delicious dinner ever at McCall's ! Surf and Turf was amazing and the entire staff was very attentive. Thank you Christo for starting our New Year 2017 with an absolutely positively out of this world dining experience!!!!

EXCELLENCE IN EVERY WAY!

By PTownlover27 |

After you try McCall's, you will definitely be pleased beyond your expectations! Variety of meal choices, ambiance, friendly and professional staff, awesome food - both delicious and beautifully presented! Unbelievably fully appointed restaurant with shockingly low and reasonable prices as well! May I also add that there is an extensive wine and alcohol list and the generous portions will leave you happily satisfied! I will definitely visit again in the future, even if I am not staying at the Stratosphere hotel, which is where they are located. Don't pass this fine restaurant up on your next visit to Las Vegas!

Amazing

Food was delicious. The hostess was very nice. Very clean. Great atmosphere. The waiters were extremely nice and are hard workers. I have nothing but good things to say all around with food drinks desert...

Best Place for Happy Hour

By clfurn |

I sat at the bar for a while and had great service and wonderful drinks. The prices for Happy hour were very reasonable. The appetizers were the more expensive things on the regular priced menu. I would suggest going there for the bar. The main dining room was good. I would not call it comfort food but it is above average food at a reasonable price. I would go back there again.

The best

By Peggar |

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is remarkable. The staff exceptional. Located just off the casino floor of the stratosphere casino and resort. You must dine here. Prices are not outrages for this type of great food.

Steady, decent, nice ...

By Road659412 |

As title suggests this place is good rather than excellent. Enjoyed our food despite my medium steak being slightly overcooked. There is plenty of food which is a good thing, and the mashed potato was excellent. Our server for the night (Nicholas F) was ok, although his attention was as much on the blonde lady at the front of house as it was on the tables he was assigned to serve. A decent place to eat if your at this end of the strip and don't fancy paying the high prices up the high tower.

HIDDEN GEM

By Christine S |

This restaurant was such a wonderful surprise! The restaurant atmosphere was delightful for our dinner. Our waiter, Matthew, Was as good, if not better, than we have had anywhere. He was completely knowledgeable about all things cocktails & the menu. His suggestions were right on point & everything was excellent. We can't wait to go back.

Birthday day dinner

By yentran30 |

Well the service and atmosphere was great. The bread was good and we ordered the calamari and shrimp cocktail that was tasty. Then it all went down hill from there. I ordered the seafood trio front the menu. Which consisted of a crab cake on coleslaw, shrimp scampi and lobster tail in a garlic butter sauce . Let me start with the crab cake smh it was the worst I ever had. It had after taste that lingered that I can not describe .. so I did not finish that. The shrimp scampi didn’t taste like scampi at all .. it was just in some thick tasteless sauce and the lobster tail was to much garlic not enough butter My husband order a ribeye steak with broccoli and baked potato on the side. The ribeye steak was not seasoned at all and the broccoli was Very under cooked they could’ve just bought it out raw ... The only good thing about the meal was the appetizer and the bread offered. .. We was very unhappy with my dinner and it’s was not cheap . I would not recommend this restaurant from my experience.

A gem of a place !

By Christopher P |

Been a couple of times and always had a lovely meal. Never seems to get busy and to me sorts of goes unnoticed but give it a whirl is a hidden gem ! great staff too !

Excellent

By Lisa V |

We ate here during our stay. The food was excellent, food was tasty and service was extremely fast. Server was very pleasant. The meal was a bit pricy but worth it for the speed of service and quality of food.

Anniversary celebration

By P Brooks |

We had dinner our first night in Vegas the food was wonderful - steaks cooked perfectly and lobster tails to die for .

Poor service

By Kimberly3810 |

Stopped here before a comedy show. The restaurant was supposed to open at 5. We had 15 min to kill so stepped into bar area. The bartender was so overwhelmed, we never got service. When the restaurant opened, we were immediately seated at a six person table (we were two). We waited, and waited ... finally got water. The server came but seemed busy removing the unused silverware and plates from our table and then he left. Fifteen minutes later, no one had even taken our drink order even though we were one of only two seated tables. Our time was short to begin with, so we had to ditch our table, bought some Combos and a sandwich from the store and went on to the show. All other reviews were good, so likely just a bad day.... but damn, I really wanted that ahi tuna:)

Delicious Food @ great price

By Jason R |

We went earlier in the evening. The price was great and the food was delicious. They had several options but no specific kids menu. So not the most los friendly place. The service was good and the ambience was fancy but not snobby. I would recommend for a family with older kids.

Steak and Martini Dinner

By r0bnz |

Stop by for their happy hour special, two for one martinis. While the drinks were tasty, they did not have much alcohol....I think I walked into the restaurant with a bigger buzz than walking out! On top of that, the bartender was none too friendly (neither here or there for me tho). The food, however, was delicious 😋. I had an amazing Caesar salad and filet, no complaints here!

Damn Good For Price

By FredQu |

Jacob my server dropped some serious knowledge on me. He understood what I was in the mood for asked me a couple questions about what my top favs & both the Steak & Side was great. Nevertheless Jacobs service totally made the experience that much better.

Pene chicken

By Thomas |

Chicken was the frozen cubed chicken I dont recommend it wife had the French onion soup she said it was good high price place food wasnt as good as the prices wont go back sorry

A bit underwhelming and disappointing.

By HenkPeels |

We got married in Vegas and decided to eat at McCall's to celebrate the occasion since we were staying in the hotel. The ambiance is great. Nice and quiet oasis in the otherwise busy casino. Our waiter was nice and tried hard. All felt a bit forced. We had to wait a little while before we could order a drink. We chose an affordable bottle of champagne, again to celebrate the occasion. The waiter was gone a long time before coming back to apologize that they were out of that product. We chose another one and went for an Italian one the waiter suggested. I agreed to the suggestion so the fault is on me but it turned out to be a sweet champagne (a dessert wine in my opinion). Who suggest a sweet champagne to guests who are about to have dinner.....? The food we had was not of the quality we expected based on the price and reviews. My wife had a chuckstake (grounded) which had a nice flavor but was a bit over salted. I had a prime cut of ribeye which was bland and had lot of fat. My steak just wasn't grilled on a hot enough fire to render some of it out. Basic mistakes that you would not expect if you pay 130$ for two mains, one shared desert and a bottle of desert wine.....

Prime rib

By poiuytrewq823743 |

Ordered the prime rib (Chef's cut) and it is the best that I have ever had. It's tender and very, very tasty. Way better than many other expensive steakhouses I had visited before. Make sure you order it rare. I would visit this place even if I wasn't staying at the Strat.

Our happy hour place

By Val Bayliss-Brideaux |

Currently in Las Vegas and staying at the Stratesphere Hotel. Great bar and staff are very good and polite. Great appetisers and half price during happy hour - must try bacon wrapped prawns with jalapeño peppers!

Great Bar

By Tom and Anne H |

We just stopped here for two or three drinks as was passing. Really nice bar. The barmen who served us was very friendly and interesting.

Arrogant host drove us away

By CodornicesCat |

You can imagine my dismay when my party of two was seated at the worst table in the house on an early weekday evening in a nearly vacant dining room. We took a few moments to discuss this, decided that homophobia was the probable motive, and left the restaurant without eating.

Great Appetizers

By ejd12018 |

The food was amazing. We got the Appetizer Platter and the shrimp wrapped with jalapeño and bacon was incredible. The Onion Rings were the BEST I have ever had. We ate at the bar and the service was excellent.

Very good and very expensive!

By sclark521 |

We decided to treat ourselves and enjoyed dinner here. It was so good. And it was a lot for the money, we had to take the rest with us. Unfortunately, we later found out that the hotel didn't have any microwaves to warm the food. Talk about a waste of money and we were very disappointed, because the food was too good to waste!

Excellent Surprise

By Steven Szabo |

Went here on my last night in Vegas because it was in my hotel. Having previously gone to a far more expensive steakhouse down the street and been disappointed this trip I wasn’t expecting much from a restaurant with steak prices less than fifty percent of the cost of the other restaurant. I was wrong. Excellent service, excellent food, steak was perfectly cooked and flavourful, portion size was excellent. The strip is not known to be a place you can go to get a good meal for a good price, but McCall’s delivers. I would definitely return.

Slow Service/Great Food

By Midnite13 |

The only complaint would be the noise in this restaurant because it abuts the casino in an open environment. Service was slow but not overly for a leisurely 2-1/2 hour dining experience. A separate room was serving a wedding party. Yes, it’s a bit pricey for the location but no more so than any other steakhouse restaurant. Less than a Mortons or Smith & Wollensky. Our group ordered appetizers, wedge salad, onion soup, entrees and desserts to share. Everyone of us enjoyed the selection of food. We shared 4 desserts among 6 of us. No one left hungry and everyone loved their entree. My strip steak was cooked perfectly and the baked potato was hot and fluffy. The broccoli was cool and undercooked/nearly raw though. If you have room for dessert, my favorite was the the 3 flavors of chocolate mousse - dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate.

Excellent Experience

By John J |

We are not steak people but my wife and I both tried the steak and lobster deal they offered on the internet. The steaks were excellent and the sidesanddrinks were wonderful. Along with the food the have a bar connected that serves nice well drinks for $4 3-7pm and 11pm-2am every day! Our waiter was great and this was the best steakhouse experience I've had for over six years. Give it a try at the Stratosphere.

Absolutely Delicious!!

By Cherie718 |

My husband and I had dinner here with friends, we had reservations at a nearby restaurant but decided last minute to go to McCalls. IT WAS DELICIOUS! I’m still raving about this place! 3 of us had the Seafood Trio with Grilled Lobster Tail ( not pouched) along with the mashed potatoes, it was absolutely perfect!! My husband had the 12oz Ribeye with mushrooms and Calamari as appetizers. EVERYTHING was cooked to perfection, the service was great. We can wait to return!

Great place, wonderful service!!!

By FlorinSmical |

This place is a real retreat from the noise and ordinary food in the area. Their menu is well structured and the food tastes and looks amazing for an average price. Moreover the service really met our expectations. Our server took great care of us ( Thank you Steven). I really recommend this place.

McCalls are ALL that

By sandiegirll |

While staying at the Stratosphere, my husband and I went to this restaurant there in the hotel and were taken aback by how great the food was as well as the service. Nothing left undone nor did we have to ask for anything. They were on top of their game. By the way, we went there TWICE and got the same results! We cant say enough good about this place. There is pride in all of the wait staff. Don't see much of that anymore. Well worth the little bit of extra cost that it is. However, if you stay AT the stratosphere and get the "taking Vegas Back" card (which is free)...the McCalls will give you a 10% discount if you let them know you have one.

Great restaurant, secret value

By pflmckenna |

This a wonderful restaurant and the service is superb. The wonderful secret is the 1/2 off drink & appetizers running 3 to 7 pm. So much value. This is our 3rd trip this week!

Great dishes

By Eric K |

Quiet and not smoky, which seems impossible inside a casino! The service was wonderful for our party of six...no one wanted for anything, except for me. I'm 140 lbs and really could have eaten two entrees - they were a bit small. Excellent presentation and taste!

So close

By David S |

The service here was good in that our waitress was lovely and attentive. However we had a huge gap between starter and main which was annoying. The starter I had were the buffalo wings and to be fair they were amazing. The steak however, was rare (I’d asked for medium rare) and the chips were cold. I like a steak to have a chargrill taster as much as the next person but this steak almost tasted artificially charred. Either that or the grill is filthy. The chargrill taste was just a bit over powering and not pleasant. My Malbec was spot on though. Overall I’d go somewhere else for a decent steak

Terrible service

By Jamie W |

We were seated and waited 10 min til the hostess came up and said did anyone serve you yet? Nope....she went and got someone. Only 5 tables full in restaurant. Waited another 10. Just as we got up to leave he came. Took our drink order, we ordered our food right away since we had to wait forever for drink....the bus boy brought our food. I think his name was Tomay or Tonay...he was so energetic, bubbly, smiley and asked us if we needed anything. We gave him a tip! He served us better than our waiter. Not once during the meal did they ask how it was or I lf we needed another drink. The food was great but the service was terrible. For 5 tables of people and a good 8 people walking around, it was very disappointing.

great prime rib

By fish815 |

stop in for dinner was not disappointed the prime rib dinner was totally perfect wish I could remember our server he was awesome

Great drinks & apps!

By Jessica D |

We went here one night while staying at the Stratosphere. We're so happy we did! We sat at the bar, which was empty. Our bartender was super nice and friendly. Just a pleasure! I wish I remembered her name. We got drinks and apps. For drinks, I got the Caribbean Trifecta - it was so delicious!! If you like rum, definitely try this drink. For apps, we got the wings and crab cake. The food came out quickly and was well presented. It all tasted delicious! It's slightly on the pricier side but definitely worth it! Overall, a great experience!

Nice Restaurant in the modernized Stratosphere

By normanf230 |

We tried McCall's only because we were seeing a show at the Stratosphere. We frequent the Top of the World Restaurant for special occasions but this was just a night out and a show. We were pleasantly surprised that the renovation of the Stratosphere included this steak house. Casual but nice. The food was very good as were the drinks. The only negative was our waiter - professional but with the personality of a fence post. I don't need a comedian serving me but a smile is nice. "Chad A" may have been having a bad day but if I was the manager I would watch him closely. The rest of the staff was very nice.

Just felt like the 80's

By IMHO2 |

The service was wonderful. They have a nice menu. Food came out correct and tasty . We did have to send 2 potatoes back because they were cold......not warm but actually cold. They must have microwaved them because we got the same two back on about 2 minutes. No Coke products- Pepsi. The decor was just were dated. We were celebrating daughters birthday and things just felt flat. No singing, no birthday cake.....they did put a candle in cheesecake for her.

Juicy Prime Rib

By Shezzagirl |

One of THE best prime rib dinners in a warm, beautifully lit, cozy restaurant. If you are staying at the Stratosphere, you must dine here one evening.

Special Find in Vegas.

By Travelingfast |

This our second time visiting McCall's. The dining experience was fantastic both times. My wife and I enjoyed the steak and lobster dinner on each occasion. Both times the steak was prepared perfectly, and the portions are generous. This is an upscale steak house. This will be our annual stop when visiting Vegas. The meal is worth leaving the strip.

Big Let Down

By Dale S |

This was the second time coming to this restaurant and might be the last. We came into eat last week during the day and this taller lady manager was diverting everyone into the bar stating they had no server for the restaurant. We didn't want to sit in a crowded bar and didn't understand why she couldn't just take our order. After telling her we didn't want to sit in the bar she again said sorry but we are not seating in the restaurant due to no servers available with a bit of attitude. How can a manager not take an order? We didn't want to sit in the bar so we turned around and left. We wont be returning anytime soon.

Phenomenal Service

By Moscynski |

Had a great special for $64: 12 oz New York Strip, half a lobster, potatoes, green beans, and a glass of wine. Can’t beat that while on the strip. I sat at the bar and GeGe was the bartender. I travel for work about 35% of the year and have to say, GeGe, demonstrated the best service I’ve had in some time. Great conversation, attentive, outgoing, and truly hospitable. Highly recommend this place and GeGe.

Tasty Dinner As Always

By kjean11 |

Great dinner as always. This is a must stop for my family and I when we make it down to the Stratosphere. We usually are going to a show there and stop in for dinner. The food is fantastic, the drinks are wonderful and the staff is always so friendly. Its classy on the inside too which I really like as well. The food is really great, highly recommended.

Fancy food you will enjoy

By lizmart99 |

Food here is good. The way they decorate the plates of food is very interesting and tasteful. My favorite is the shrimp wrapped in Bacon. Nice atmosphere.

dissappointed.

By sjparker1969 |

Hate to leave a bad review because last time i visited this place was the best i've ever had. Not this time though cutlery was filthy changed knives 3 times ! Glasses was again filthy. Then it got worse the food was cold, tasteless and of cheap quality. On a positive note the lady who served us was lovely and she deserved better. I JUST HOPE IT WAS A BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE.

Great food - Not at a Las Vegas Zagat's Price

By Nick D |

Went to Mccall's at the stratosphere last week in Vegas and was duly impressed. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We went late and the restaurant was quite empty. Our server was very attentive and offered good suggestions. We started with a couple of appetizers which were great.... We then ordered our mains. The steaks were very good. We had the ribeye and the NY. Both steaks cooked to our liking. The blue cheese butter (on the NY) and the mushroom sauce (on the ribeye) were good compliments to the meat. Ordered one side, the green beans, and they were good, but we were too full to really enjoy. The positive side of McCall's is that the steaks were around $30, which is $20 less than most steak houses on the strip for the same meat. great place to dine on steaks if you want value for money

Yeah....Groupon! Great experience!

By Jeff C |

Used Groupon and meal well priced then. Had great sirloin with small but delicious lobster tail. Soup or salad were good, Berries and cream at end was awesome. I added a good sized appetizer plate with chipotle wings, bacon jalapeño wrapped shrimp, and steak and cheddar potato wedges and all were delicious. I consider this meal a steal with Groupon. Only 85$ total not including tip. Staff were great and food incredible!

Dinner for 12

By Craig V |

I would like to formally Thank, JT and her team! Pamela, Alex, our server supreme, Adolfo, and his partner Alessandro! I have been in the industry for 35 years, it takes a lot to impress me, but I felt like I was in their home, their very sophisticated home. The moment we all stepped in, the host team had us all set in a private room no less! They were anticipating our every need before we knew what that was. Service extraordinaire from top to bottom. The very first place I would check out in Vegas ! Compare all others to this ! Thank you, Craig Vaccaro

Pleasantly surprised...

By Hannah S |

...with this place. My husband ordered the steak and I ordered the lobster. They brought out huge portions!!! Needless to say, we enjoyed our dinner.

Best Kept Secret in Town!!

Family vacay from MI Aug 14-17, 2017

The waiter Aldolfo and his assistants provided great customer service. We had a party of 5 and the food tasted great. The atmosphere was great also, even during happy hour.

Excellent Groupon Value

By lfdcaptain |

A far better dining experience than I had expected. Service was excellent, atmosphere was quiet and intimate, and the steak and lobster dinner far exceeded expectations.

No Taste

By David Tyack |

I had the prime rib. It had no flavor what so ever. I had to put salt on every bite. It was cooked properly....just no taste. expensive for the quality.

Yea no

Wait staff was great kitchen doesn't know the difference between rare and well done. Management handles issues well. Kitchen staff needs MAJOR help.

BFF dinner

By cgbar10r |

Had a good meal. No wait for us. Had a crabcake app, was good. Good drink selection. Entrees were very good and plate presentation done well. Somewhat a good value, will eat there again on next trip.

food was perfect, waiters too, and the place warm and elegant. add the best company and you have an unforgettable night.

Best meal we had in Vegas

By David F |

Great selection of whisky, good food cooked to perfection. The meal cost $120, 2 barley and beef soup, steak, lobster, berries and cream, 2 whiskey. Really pleasent service. What was really good was that it was enclosed, subdued lighting, away from the noise and smokeof the casino. It was a great place to have dinner.

Good food great service

By olangset |

My friend and I went here yesterday and was served by Alfonso who was the most attentive and thorough waiter we have experienced in a long time. He was calm and knowledgeable and was never far away. Really good experience. We shared the starters combo platter which was quite large. For mains I had a half rack of ribs which were quite good, and my friend had the daily special which was a surf'n turf with 8oz tenderloin, scampi and mashed potatoes. Food comes in large sizes, so no need to worry about being satisfied. Recommended place to visit!

Excellant Service and Food!

By Debby D |

Food selection can be tricky for a person like myself on a restricted food plan. Our waiter went out of his way to accommodate me even with a 'virgin drink'. Very nice, healthy meal.

Low quailty food

By David R |

$7.00 "house salad" is all iceberg lettuce. No field or mix greens, just hunks of iceberg. Portobello mushroom sandwich $13, for stems and pieces; can't even make it with a good quality PB mushroom top. Manager on duty was not available as he was covering 3 other venues in the hotel. Very poor.

Food was ok!

By Necole C |

Ambience was on point, Service was ok! My only issue was they did not have a vegan option. The snapper did not taste like a red snapper fish, But the crab lump was real crab meat, and it wasn’t a lot for the price that we paid.

Nice surprise!

By Shiles |

This restaurant is just off the casino in the Stratosphere, so we were very surprised by the nice atmosphere and how quiet the restaurant was. The service was great, and the food was delicious - very ample portions that we couldn/t finish.

Good steaks, good service

By Guðrun J |

Pleasantly surprised by the food. We ordered different kinds of steaks, both were very good. Our waiter Adolfo was very professional and the restaurant stayed open until everyone had left. Don't know if that's just good service or just Vegas :)

Huge portion sizes & good prices

By bibsylovesmonkeys |

My family went here because we were staying at the stratosphere. Everything was super yummy. It was also a very nice atmosphere. Great for visits of all types!

Great food

Anniversary celebration

By Rebecca S |

Decided to celebrate our anniversary at mccall's. Ambiance is ok nothing fancy. Food was good but service is very slow. Waiters disappear and its difficult to ask for anything if you need it. If you have an engagement after dinner give yourself time because service is slow.

not worth the money

By David S |

We chose this restaurant primarily for their whisky reputation. We were not impressed. Many of their choices would be well whiskys elsewhere. Food was uneven. My chopped Salad was anemic and almost all iceburg lettuce. only a few pieces of mushroom, avocado and cheese could be found. Crabcake was tasty. My daughters Mahi was good, but the portion was small for the price. My cousins steak was good, but overcooked(he ordered medium rare-got medium to medium-well). If you are staying at the Strat, and do not want to go off site for a steak, t is fine, but dont make a special trip here.

Awesome service by server Kim

Kim was the best thing about our visit to this hotel. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. She convinced us to make

Don't do it

By Aaron S |

I haven't had to do one of these in a long long time. I'm just going to be honest: this was worst restaurant experience I've had in years. Spoiler alert. I never even got to eat a meal. Let's start with getting my table. I saw many tables available, and the hostess said sorry we're full. "You can sit at the bar." I saw a second hostess and asked her the same thing. She said there's a table. I waited several minutes at the front. The reason? They couldn't find a menu. (Or were out of menus). I said I don't need a menu after I found out the reason for the holdup. They promptly handed me a take out pamphlet and sat me. Here's what happened after I sat down: NOTHING. I was next to that kitchen and I must've been passed 40 times by staff. 21 minutes after sitting down, I got my first "have you been helped". I said no, and asked to speak to the manager. Here's what happened after I asked for the manager: NOTHING 11 minutes later the manager approached , looked at me and then proceeded to take the next tables order!!! After the manager took the order for the table of six, he walked by me again, and came back a few minutes later. I really think he just hoped I would leave. Nope. Sorry. 38 minutes In: the conversation finally starts with the manager. His name is Christo. I told him everything. He explained that they are understaffed. And that he himself isn't just running this restaurant. He's busy with the hotel buffet and another restaurant. And he apologized. I told him the truth, that this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. And I told him I need to give people a heads up. That I'm going to write my first review in a long time. At this point in the conversation, his attitude changed to be much nicer, more caring. Showed empathy when he didn't before. He offered me a free meal. And extended his hand. I shook it. And left.

Less Pricey then most

Enjoyed a prime rib dinner with tender bone in cut of beef. Very tasty. Good service with a waiter who figured out every available discount on the check. The baked potato came well equipped with side kicks; green onions, bacon, butter and more.

Soft lights, cozy mood...Bon appetit

By nikcolelowery |

After receiving a free dinner coupon for McCall's from executive host Ms. Marilyn Norris we have to say dinner was scrumptious! Our server was Chad and he was exquisite! He introduced himself and offered up the chef's special as well as the many drink choices. The lights were low and intimate...just how we like it. The restaurant wasn't crowded so we could just enjoy each others company. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal as well as great conversation from all we encountered.

Menu outside of the restaurant looked promising

By teenster3 |

Hubby and I ate here for our Nice Dinner out, for our long weekend trip to Vegas from WI. We decided on this restaurant, because it was within our hotel, looked like a clean and beautiful atmosphere and the menu on the stand out front of this restaurant made the prices look reasonable (for us). Upon entering, sitting down and receiving our menus: we both looked at each other and I thought about leaving. Hubby said; it's our 1 really nice meal, so let's order. The service was great, our water glasses kept getting filled up every time without asking, the bread that came out had wonderful presentation and was good to eat. Yet the actual meals that we got, was nothing over the moon about. I ordered a NY strip I believe, baked potato and salad. I think hubby might have had steak, fries and something too. Honestly, for the price, the Presentation was better than the taste. Hubby enjoyed his, but I told my husband.....he grills a better NY strip then this tasted and this one was really fatty too. I think our total bill was well over $100.00, not including tip. In WI, the 2 of us could have spent 1/2 that, + tip and desserts.

5 star meal at half the price

By Emily E |

Great service and food worthy of a 5 star restaurant. The filet was perfect. The staff had no trouble handling my dietary restrictions. There are several gluten free options!

Great food

By carvas3 |

This is a hidden gem on the strip. I was looking to replace my usual Las Vegas dinner at table 10 and found this dinner special for 4 people on travel zoo's website. I did not have high expectation for this restaurant but found that they served great food. It was a three course steak and lobster meal. I was given an option for soup or Cesar salad , I ordered the corn chowder it was spicy and hearty. The other people in the group ordered the salad and they raved about it being amazing. The surf and turf presentation of the meal was great with the steak bring served on top of a fried onion ring. The streak was cooked to my liking and the lobster was served with liquid butter. The side of French green beans and puréed potatoes tasted delicious. The meal came with dessert; vanilla bean ice cream and fresh fruit. The fruit was fresh and juicy and tasted better with the ice cream. I will be coming to this restaurant again.

Go to the Strat Cafe instead

By Sharyn M |

We arrived in Las Vegas and were looking for a steak house. In the Stratosphere Hotel we found McCall's. Although the steak was eatable the prices were as expensive as being at home, and with the exchange we paid on our Canadian money the steak cost us $50.00 per person! If you want to have a good steak reasonably priced go to the Strat Café - meal was worth the money we paid and we didn't feel we got robbed.

Very accommodating

By Brenden G |

I got married across the road and the folks at McCall's were very accommodating when we approached them for a dinner service of 20 people. The food was excellent and the cocktails were interesting. Everyone left very happy

"Dinner during week"

By Angela P |

We went to dinner during the week after having our status bumped and was given $$$ to spend. We made a reservation but when we went there was no wait. We started with the Beef and Bacon Ribbon Chip Stack (12). Plenty to share with table and we packed some for the hotel room. Both of us had 8oz Filet Mignon and baked potato (34). The steak had a good taste and potato was cooked perfectly. One was rare and one was medium. Both were cooked spot on. Some sort of bread basket was placed on the table and it was okay. Just different bite size types. The service was prompt and attentive. Friendly staff.

Date and a steak

By ggarcia2015 |

Had the special and OMG it was delicious! A huge Tomahawk steak for 2 with fresh veggies and mashed potatoes. I'm sure a hungry man can handle this but great for a couple to share.
