If its your birthday, they will print your name on the menu with a birthday wish..I love this about all the restaurants. Its a great souvinir. Their food is consistently good,

I was really disappointed with my filet. I requested medium well with some pink . In addition to a very small 6 oz. filet, it was overcooked. The drinks were delicious and so was the cheesecake. I thought the atmosphere was very old and tired looking. Our server was great although she never told us her name. Expensive. Won't go back!

A wonderful happy hour, followed by a great dinner experience and service. Thank you. What a fantastic staff, Maritsa and Becky!

It might be hard to mess up poached eggs but these people managed to do just that on mothers day Five orders of eggs benedict and five orders where the eggs came in cold. Then to remedy the situation those eggs must have been thrown back into the hot water because they came back hard. They did gave us some delicious free desserts which was appreciated! The service was good and attentive.

Horrible service, mediocre food, nasty staff. we have nothing good to say about this place, and are amazed they charge such high prices for sub-level dining experiences.

Charlatans, fraudsters and thieves!!! Service and food was appalling. We complained and refused to pay the service charge. They took my credit card away and charged me the whole bill. They refused to give me a receipt. Disgusting and will never come back, will never use this chain for business dinners again and will always tell colleagues and associates to stay away. Avoid at all costs!!!!

The restaurant was close to our hotel and the train we were going to the football for an 8:30 pm kick-off. The service was slow and server was not even cordial, it appeared we were a bother. I had Wedge Salad with Oyster Rockefeller and Steak, the salad was okay, the oyster were large, but the sauce was flavorless and steak was okay. Our family split up because we have two Vegans and of course this is a seafood and meat.

Night one everybody ordered steak. I asked for rare and got medium rare. Second night everybody order fish and we were all very pleased

A great central location, the main dining room feels cramped as too many tables for the space yet the bar area is empty, could do with a bit of a re-plan for the tables . The service was friendly and efficient but not overly knowledgeable. The food was good and for the price the whole experience was a very good one. At this price point if offers a reasonable night out. As a tip and to make more of an occasion stop by the Ritz Carlton first opposite for a luxury experience and a decent cocktail.

Open table screwed up as usual. I get a call earlier that day from the restaurant, I call back and a girl says "we never called, we don't have your name in the books" I told her I have a confirmation, screenshot, and it's my Anniversary!, get me a manager, manager Britney was nice and told me to come and ask for her. While I'm there I get a text that dinner was the next day at 12 noon? We waited 30 minutes for seating, 30 minutes for a waitress, and I lost count of the time we waited for our food. Powder mash potatoes (awful)

Excellent menu and classy dining experience. The dining area is in a large open area. We enjoyed our appetizers and entree.

We had a 5:15pm reservation for a party of 3. We were seated within a few minutes of arriving. Good so far. Our server, Elani, came over and mumbled her greeting and told us that they were out of the Bone-in and Swordfish. We did not catch her name so we asked her what was her name and she looked at us as if we were asking for a kidney. We told her that we were going to a 7pm show, so we were not going to order anything that would take long. I initially ordered a Prosecco Sangria; when i tasted it, I did not like the bitter taste of it. I told our server that I did not like the way it tasted and asked for a Lemon Drop; she assumed that I did not want to pay for the Sangria and said to me, "I have to check with my manager if I can take it off the bill." To which I replied, "I did not ask you to take it off the bill, I just want a different drink.". The bowl of clam chowder was watery. The iceberg wedge salad was extremely salty. The fish and chips probably had about 10 French fries on the plate. One of the napkins at our table was dirty; not a stain but a freshly soiled napkin. We brought it to our server’s attention and she just brushed it off like “not a big deal.” It is a big deal, how did a dirty napkin get mixed in with clean ones? Our server was MIA most of the time, and when she did check on us, she barely waited to hear our response but she was very attentive to the group of people seated behind us. The person who brought out our food was more attentive than our server. The stem of the glasses that the Lemon Drop drinks were in was sticky. Also, despite the fact that we weren’t impressed with the food, we did not ask to get anything taken off of the bill, nor did we complain or make a fuss about it, nor did we send anything back. My husband drank the bitter tasting Sangria that I did not like. We were ready to leave before we finished our meal; our server didn’t even ask us if we wanted dessert…oh wait, we had to get her attention so that we could ask for the check because she was too busy being engaging with the table behind us. When she bought us the check, we had to ask her to not walk away because we wanted to pay and leave because we had a 7pm show to get to. She took offense and said, “she was just going to check on the table behind us.” The same table that she kept checking on and was engaging with, but with us it felt like we were pulling teeth to get her to our table. Our bill was $239.20. Despite the poor service, my husband gave our server a $30 tip! Imagine the tip our server would have gotten if we had received good service! $30 tip for crappy service and attitude. If it was me, I would have left her a penny…a penny for your thoughts…so she could think about why she didn’t get a tip…but my husband isn’t me; rest assured we will not be returning. For anyone wondering, our server Elani was of the brown skinned color aka Black aka a Person of Color; the patrons seated at the table behind us, who were receiving better service from her were white. If she was purposely giving the other table better service because of their skin color shame on her because if she had put half of the energy into our table, we would have given her more than the suggested 15-20% tip, but she didn’t. #mccormick #serverlife #badservice #steakhouse #philadelphia

My wife visited this restaurant with a couple of friends while visiting Philadelphia for the Flower Show. The food was excellent. Pan Sautéed Idaho Trout, Pistachio Chilean Sea Bass and Chesapeake Buttermilk Fried Shrimp were all good and worth a mention. Table service was efficient and the servers very friendly. However, when it came time to leave they asked the person at reception to get them a cab. He said he couldn't do this and when he asked a colleague for help she just shrugged him off. A very bad finish to an otherwise very pleasant dinner.

Our server Jonathan was slow and inattentive. My wife’s steak was fine. However our groups three salmon dishes (bourbon and grilled) were served at room temperature and both were bland.

I visited the restaurant with Co workers over 5 years ago. It was a great place to eat. Atmosphere was great. We enjoyed the food and drinks.

They forgot items in my order, and they have yet refund my money after leaving several messages with the general Manger and other shift managers.

Went here for lunch for restaurant week! It was a friend birthday and we brought a cake! Just to let anyone know there is a 25 dollar cutting fee for cake! We were all so stuffed that we couldn't even do cake! The berry berry mojito were so good! I ordered 2!! The poke tuna rice bowl is really good!! The swordfish casino was good! The spinach was really salty though! I like the lump crab on top! The creme brûlée was amazing!! Our service was super nice!

Personally, I am too frugal to spend $40-$50 on a steak, but this was a business dinner and someone else was paying, so why not... Price aside, the service, ambience and food are all top rate. So, if you don't mind the prices, you'll love it!

We ate a celebratory lunch here and loved it!! Great upscale atmosphere and our server was friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious - we would definitely return!

I wrote a nice review on this place back in 2015, but was extremely disappointed on this visit. Waitress was nice and smiled, but did not do anything (even a simple candle) after four reminders over the course of the evening that we have a birthday person at the table and this is the reason to come to the restaurant. Wine we ordered was OK, but they did not have a second bottle (!?). No one told us about this in advance, so we had to switch to the worse one. Crab cake was watery and Chilian sea bass the worst I had in a long time. Finally, men restroom was not cleaned or attended for the three hours we been there. It was clogged and did not present as one in a nice restaurant at all.

My companion and I had a fabulous inexpensive late lunch. The food was great. Everyone was pleasant and nice, they have a really great staff

After a lapse of four years, we tried delivery service during the quarantine period. The hamburgers and clam chowder were surprisingly good, prepared just as ordered. The order even arrived hot.

We wanted to eat steak, and this was the closest American steak restaurant to our hotel. We should have had fish instead... Prices are quite high, but that cannot have been the only reason this relatively large place was more than half empty during our meal.

Impressive decor, good bar, attractive menu, excellent meal. Welcomed warmly upon entry. Attentive, friendly and competent service by Isabel.

To start...server was very good and attentive. It was down hill from there. Had the shrimp kisses. Dry with a few kernals of corrn salsa. No dipping sauce. Very weak. Then cup of NE Clam chowder. Very thin broth and you couldnt find a sniff of a clam or potato. Then I had probably THEE worst cut of beef I have ever had. 20 oz ribeye and 12 oz of fat. And oh..all the foid came out barely warm. Desert was cold. Didnt offer to comp anything. Waste of 250.00 Dont bother. Over priced mediocrity. Ruths Chris... No place better.

We came back downtown walking all the way from the Museum of art and Eastern Penitentiary in order to eat at this place and no reservation was needed. The place was rather empty as we arrived and noticed how the servers were having fun at the entrance. We ordered chowder soup and mussels for me (which I wish there were more) and then the crab cakes for both of us plus some more stuff for my partner. Everything was great and the drinks were not bad either, the table cloth was good quality and the waiters made the effort with their presentation - I guess this is the place to 'be' when in Philadelphia. Surely we will be trying the place in Washington in the future.

Haley was our server. She was great; the ambiance was very nice. The food was excellent . She made our experience great and I would definitely come back.

We went there yesterday (17 February) for dinner. We are visiting from the UK and this was our first day in Philadelphia. We hadn’t read any reviews before we went. Our experience of the restaurant was very good. The welcome was warm and friendly and the service was excellent. Top marks to our waiter, Eric, who was very helpful and attentive. We found the background music too loud and asked if it could be turned dow, which it was. The food was very good. The linguine with scallops was excellent. We loved the wine too - Storypoint, a Cabernet Sauvignon. So glad we didn’t read the reviews before our visit.

Great food and our server, Trish was absolutely fantastic. She was there when we needed her but never hovered. She certainly added to our dining experience

This is an upscale steak and seafood house with several brands and close to 3 dozen locations in the US. At this downtown Philadelphia location, there are small private 6 or fewer person rooms upstairs for private discussions over a meal. The space is pretty tight. It suited our needs with a great ability to talk without background noise or too many interruptions. The Ten Greens Salad is very good as is the Beef Medallions Bordelaise entree. The beef was done perfectly. Both of the mushroom sides are very good; the asparagus is not very special, big thick stalks and a smallish serving. Very good wine list. Service was good.

Me & my family had the best experience at this restaurant. Haley made that experience really great! I would love to come back

We are not new to this restaurant group and chose it hoping for the high quality to which we are accustomed. Last night was an expensive disappointment. Our server, Kaia (sp? Kaya) was initially prompt & attentive but we seemed to be her only table. Another couple was seated next to us and the service went downhill from there. At 9:30pm the restaurant was almost empty then a later crowd rolled in. There were 4-6 staff members at any given time standing around in the bar watching the basketball game. Our warmish Caesar salad was served WITH our dinner entree (not before) with no apology or explanation. It took 20minutes to receive a beer and we were seated in the bar! Steak, shrimp and dessert food quality was excellent. The service was terrible. We finally got water, which we'd asked for when we were seated, when dessert was served. This experience is not consistent with our past dinners with this brand. Wouldn't return to this location. Where was the manager?

First time at this restaurant and it was a good one. The good was good and so was the service. Our waiter was great at taking our orders and making sure we had a good time.

Went there after a Sunday afternoon show at the Kimmel Center because we couldn’t get into Capitol Grill. Food was ok. Service was ok. Stuffed shrimp consisted of 5 small shrimp with a bit of crabmeat-bread filling. At least there were no shells! It really is a Center City Bonefish Grill. Don’t expect anything special.

Excellent food and service as always. This is one of my fav restaurants. They are in several cities. So we can go there, anywhere and be sure to have a great dining experience.

We were seated upstairs in a private booth. We ordered a bottle of wine, the crab cake, the Lobster bisque for appetizers. Bone-In Black Angus Ribeye adding a lobster tail for our entrée. Everything was prepared perfectly and the service was great.

Got a 20 ounce rib eye steak and a great Californian wine. Both really good. Had the dinner at the bar as the restaurant was fully booked. Good service despite a lot of guests this Sunday evening! Enjoy...

I went there for happy hour which i called in advance u have to sit in bar area anyway when I try to order a drink the bartender gonna claim I don't fit the dress code which I had on was business casual just not a collar shirt strange thing no dress code on their website or on the door or window of front of the restaurant 🤔 I complain to the manager she told the bartender to give me what I want cause I was wearing a polo ralph lauren shirt with Chino pants my cocktail server was nasty individual purposely talk loud to another customer sitting next to me and I had my air pods on listening to my ipod she meant for me to hear her insults about me claiming I'm arrogant I ask about dress code the service was terrible I had to go back and worth to the bar if I wanted something even the check never coming here again I complain to manager all she say she will talk to waitress point is don't come here even if u sit in bar they take dress code 2 serious better REAL Fine restaurants to go to

We had the same combination: clam chowder and the tuna poke tower. Both were okay, but hardly memorable. The chowder was a bit thin and the poke lacked the flavor expected in Honolulu. However, service was fast and the server very helpful.

McKenzie was a new server and she was great!! Overpriced, under solicited but tasted good. Will be more budget conscious if I return. Lobster bisque was good, $8 a cup. 4 shrimp kisses were $14. Not worth it. Fish and chips was just ok for $20, and $17 was fair for the mac and cheese, it was good and I couldn't finish it. Complimentary bread was delicious. All in all the bill with two unsweet teas was $85.

It's been a while since we have been to this M&S location and it will be a while before we return (if we return). We understand many restaurants are facing Covid related challenges but some are managing through it better than others; this M&S needs help . While they seem to be managing the staffing / occupied tables equation well; some of the staff definitely need some more training before being put on the front lines. Our four entrees were good but lapses in service were disappointing i.e. multiple requests for a scotch and water, bread before the entrees, etc. Also, while the desserts were good we were dismayed to learn the coffee machine was 'broken' and the only beverage available was espresso (no thank you). We did notice a number of new competitors in the area so that may explain things but this M&S needs some management attention soon.

I had dinner with a friend . Dinner was very good and we had a nice experience. The service was good with a nice dinner environment.

The place is nicely decorated and the service was perfect. The shrimp kisses appetizer were delicious and the cocktails strong and tasty. My husband had the filet which he said was kind of chewy. I had the beef medallions which were good. If you get the mashed potatoes with blue cheese, you'll get lots of pieces of chopped onion which I enjoyed, husband did not. Creme brûlée was one of the best I've had.

No host greeted us. We had to wait 15 minutes. Shrimp and lobster roll had no lobster, teeny pieces of shrimp equal to maybe a half a medium shrimp, and too much celery and mayo. I literally put the shrimp on a fork and ate no more. Also, I made the mistake of leaving my credit card, but instead of turning it in, it was stolen and used for over $500 at a store.

My husband and I went here because we've visited the one in Boston and always had a great experience, our visit here was terrible. Upon walking in, we say hi to the hostess, so clearly taken with her phone she cannot break eye contact to do her job, until her colleague nudges her and she finally realizes we've said hello and are standing in front of her. She grabs the menus, and brings us to a table. Waitress arrives, takes our drink orders, I order some fried scallops that caught my eye, but I specify (very clearly) to the waitress that they have to be plain. My husband asks about bread that we saw at all the other tables she responds, oh that by request only. She comes back with fried scallops, slathered in mayonnaise. (Had to send back, husband can't eat). My sweet husband asks again about the bread-- she repeats that it's request only, he said okay, I'll request it. It was such odd behavior from the waitress, making us jump though hoops to be able to order. I think based on those two interactions, she decided she didn't like us, and we didn't see her again until the check. Someone brought our food out, mine was decent, nicely flavored, pasta was toothsome, mushrooms were sauteed nicely. My husband got steak with mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. I think since our waitress just wanted nothing to do with us, our plates had just sat under heat lamps for the time (about 40 minutes) we were waiting. The cream sauce on my pasta was coagulated and hard on the top, my husband's steaks looked dry and hard. His sides were gross. The streamed beans were boiled to the point of almost liquid. I ate mine, he had a few bites of his but it was too bad to continue. After sitting having finished eating for a while, we finally are able to get an acknowledgement from the waitress. We just ask for the check, and get out of there. Seems like a silly detail, but most places I'd like to return to the staff say goodbye to you as you're leaving. Not here. Watched me and my husband walk out the door, I said thank you, all three people at the hoststand said nothing. The overall experience was so terrible and unwelcoming. Will never be returning.

Haley made our experience awesome! She took care of my gluten allergy out a flinch. I felt very special dining here tonight.

The food was great except my fries. I like them fresh and hot and they were neither. I didn’t tell the waitress as I would have been done with my main course before I got new fresh one. I like the fresh bread and butter. A bit pricey. All-in-all it was good.

My best friend said she wanted to go here for her birthday. I made reservations and asked them if they could do something special for her. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess and she wished my friend a Happy Birthday. We were taken to our table and given menus with a birthday greeting for her on it on it. Our waiter (sadly I forgot his name) was amazing. I cannot eat spicy food so instead of the Wasabi mashed potatoes, he gave me regular mashed potatoes with some lobster bisque to pour on top of them. My ahi tuna was perfect as was my friend's rib-eye steak. The only downside was my friend wanted creme brulee for dessert and they were out of it (now this would have been believable if the restaurant was full, but it was not). The waiter felt bad about this and discounted her cheesecake dessert. It was still an amazing meal and my friend left full and happy!!

Mediocre food, very rude hostess staff, filthy bathrooms. Will not go back. Based on other reviews their days are probably numbered anyway. Wish I read them before I went….

My wife and I ate here after shopping. She had the Chilean sea bass, and I had the 8 oz. filet. Both were really good. I say really good because it wasn’t the best I have ever had, but it was still good.

Someone in my group wanted to eat steak. I mean really good decent steak. So we decided to pop in here. After all, a steak house with the naming scheme "name & name" has got to be good right? It didn't disappoint. Drink selection was decent. Our servers were friendly and attentive enough. The food (I ordered the ribeye) was very delicious. The price? Well, yeah if you want to eat at a place like this, better be prepared to shell out. That being said, it was a great place to go and have a pretty good meal without sacrificing your left arm. Maybe just a finger.

Amazing food, we were in for, everybody happy with their choices. I had the Hawaiian Ahi Tuna that was magnificent. Service: not to much attention, didn’t explain anything about the menu and it was slow, food took 26 minutes and the kids choice for my daughter an extra 4 minutes !!

Food was delicious, especially the stuffed shrimp and the red-peppered mashed potatoes. Portions were small on the other hand. Service was a little slow as the location was not extremely busy. Wait staff was very knowledgeable and courteous.

We had a fantastic meal here last night. The Wagyu steak was incredible and very reasonably priced. Our server George was excellent and really made our experience special with his knowledge, recommendations, personality and attentiveness. We would happily go back.

My husband and I had dinner at McCormick’s Saturday, February 24, 2018. My husband order steak, well done, no red meat, of course it was served medium rare and he had to return the steak until it was done to his liking. I had the deluxe seafood, which came with mash potatoes and string beans, the meal was cold, as though it was sitting out for a while. The server even asked me if the mash potatoes were cold when I told him the food was cold. It made me believe that he knew the food was cold before he served it to me. I hate eating cold food unless it’s a sandwich. Lastly, I order a margarita and it taste like a vodka gimlet with salt on the rim. I guess what I’m saying is, if you plan to eat at a high end restaurant I expect high in food and drink quality. The food was terrible and the drink was made by an Amateur bartender. The manager comp us desserts and then insults us and stated “ I know your not trying to get a free meal”. WTF. Unfortunately there will not be a next time, I’ll spend my dollars at Chris Ruth where the steaks are cooked as order and the drinks are prepared by an experienced bartender and the food is hot. For the prices they charge, they need to do much better.

Here with family for business. Wanted to enjoy a good steak experience. Well... the atmosphere was nice but the waiter took forever to take care of even refilling our water and bringing us the check. And speaking of the check - we ordered steak and stuffed shrimp (right off of the menu - as is no additions or subtractions). The waiter said they were out of the six ounce steak that comes with that dish and asked if we were ok with the 8oz. Here is where I as a manager disagree with the rest of the night. We got the bill and they charged us for a steak and added the three shrimp as a separate charge. As a management team - either say that the menu dish is not available for the night or tell the customer exactly what the “upcharge” will be. 2oz of steak is definitely not worth $12.00. Then we heard one of the waitresses telling her customers that they ran out of bread this past weekend. With Philly as a famous steak sandwich place - who would ever be out of bread - just saying! And the night supervisor (I wouldn’t call him a manager) decided to tell us that was what we ordered and we owed the bill as it was. Well - that didn’t sit well! He eventually credited $8.00 - better than nothing but needless to say - “X” this place off of my - “to revisit” list!!

It's a chain, so you know what you're getting menu-wise. The decor is kind of cool, dark woods, big open ceiling in the middle of the dining room. We had a couple issues with service. Our server was pleasant and friendly. But she forgot to check on a recipe - she came back to the table and had to be reminded. Then she forgot to bring a side dish. We had a steak come out extremely under-done. Ultimately they did the right thing by taking the side dish off the bill, and comping us a dessert. But other dishes lacked flavor, or were over-cooked. Some both lacked flavor and were over-cooked. Not the best dining experience.

Went for a small office dinner. Food was good, service was slow, but acceptable since we were not in a rush. The bar services for the mixed drinks did not excite anyone. Complaint about the side dishes with the meal. Most were not tasty. I had the risotto and it was good, but the asparagus was tough. Deserts were excellent.

Me and my fiance had a great experience our server was Michael j he was very welcoming and he helped us out a great deal this being our first time here 10/10 experience.

Went there for happy hour, apps were good and drinks fairly priced. The real issue was the fact we had to hover over other patrons while they were getting their checks in order to get a seat. I understand you can’t make a reservation for happy hour but mgmt could at least take your name and seat you in order of arrival. Will try one more time but too many very good restaurants in Philadelphia to put up with this BS!

Greetings All, David and I went here for my birthday, wow, it was the best! When we walked into this AB FAB room I knew we were in for a treat! Our waitress Jessica was awesome, so nice I almost asked her to sit with us! Manager came over later on and introduced himself, great guy! Food was so good we didn't want it to stop! Bubbly fit the occasion and we so enjoyed it. Had to thank everyone for making my Birthday a real treat! Cheers! William

First night in Philadelphia and we fancied a good steak. Had read reviews and decided to book a table although not necessary as very quiet. Can highly recommend the shrimp kisses - delicious. Our steaks were perfect and very tender and tasty. Great restaurant and service

We went here for our rehearsal dinner and what a great choice! The food was excellent and the deserts were phenomenal ! The room was large enough to hold our party of 28 and the bartender was attentive. A little on the pricey side, however it was a special occasion and a very nice restaurant.

I sat at the bar and ordered dinner. Bar wasn’t crowded, nor was the restaurant. However, the bartender, who was also my server, never came back to check on me after he served me my drink. A manager brought my dinner. Again, throughout my meal I was never checked on. I waited ten minutes for him to ask for my bill after I finished my meal, but he still didn’t call on me. I finally went to the hostess station and asked for my bill. She got someone who apparently was supposed to be bartending but was working in the kitchen to ring me up. I was so disappointed in their service. I won’t make the mistake of visiting that restaurant again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

In -10 temperatures we found this restaurant as it was close to our hotel. A bit pricey but the food was great and Angel, our waiter was so helpful and courteous. Cocktails delicious nice setting. Great fish and chips and burgers. Highly recommend

I come here pretty often and every time I have Molly as my bartender I have the best time. She goes above and beyond for her customers and is such a joy! I will always come back especially if molly is my bartender!!

Upon entering we were greeted warmly was able to sit early. Izzy was an excellent server. She checked for table allergies, recommended items to share and made out of towners feel welcomed to Philly. Izzy's promptness and genuine demeanor complimented her attentiveness and deliciousness of the meal. Our team bonded over our "trash talk tuesday" meal. Thank you for a great experience!!

All the dining options in this area (Center City area) are pricey, but I did not feel I got my money's worth here. Maybe it was an "off" night for the chef, but I would not go back. I traveled with my adult daughter and here filet mignon had to be sent back to be recooked. (Really???) I ordered the Hawaiian Swordfish- nothing spectacular, but the fish was cooked well. The spinach served with the dish was way too salty. Two booths down, other patrons had a loud, cranky one-year-old with them. This was disturbing to all the other guests- yet nothing was do about it. We were dining on a Sunday evening at 8:30 -a time deliberately chosen to avoid young children! The child was really loud and created a major disruption for others in the dining area. Ok- aside from that- the food was just average for us and, considering the expense, we did not feel this was a good decision for our dinner option. There are so many other places to eat in that are (We had selected it based on the proximity to our hotel). Next time we visit Philly, we will not be eating here. Even without the loud-child issue, we would suggest finding another dinner option.

Came for the $20 restaurant week lunch special and I have to say from beginning to end I loved this meal. The sourdough bread was to die for - so good. The meal started with the crab soup which was filled with plenty of crab and vegetables and seasoned just right with old bay seasoning. I thought I went to heaven with the ahi tuna and ginger sauce with wasabi mashed potatoes and seared bok choy. The tuna was seared perfectly and the veggies were also delicious. The meal ended with a chocolate molten lava cake - what a way to end this wonderful meal. I would have to give this lunch 5 stars.

Attended a business meeting dinner expecting high quality, generously portioned seafood offerings, but instead was served a 4-5 oz portion of Chilean sea bass that might have been a bit undercooked but definitely was underwhelming. Accompanied by mashed potatoes and sauteed string beans. All of the items were reasonably tasty but were salty enough to have been sprayed with ocean water. Hearts of lettuce with the usual blue cheese dressing was fresh, and upside down, warm apple pie was well made but sized for someone who is counting calories. The most disappointing aspect of the evening was the service because there did not seem to be enough waitstaff for the group, and because the timing of courses and individual platters was tortoise-like. Overall difficult to recommend a return visit.

Host was rude, didn't even say hi. Just immediately told me I was not allowed in due to their "dress code". This was at 3:45pm on a Wednesday. I was wearing a sweater and jeans. The host told me men required a collar shirt. A nice cashmere sweater and jeans is not up to their dress code of business casual? That is ok, I went to Ocean Prime and spent 225.00 there.

I went as part of a group during Restaurant Week. I chose the special menu, where you choose all 3 of your courses at ordering. Service was very slow from then in, with slow drinks and poor service from our orders. Worse still, the 'seasonal vegetables' were all out, so we were given green beans. Noting wrong with that, but not what was ordered. Then we get to dessert, and the option I had ordered two hours before was now not available. Not sure how this could happen.... The waitress was very lacklustre, and kept trying to justify a tip for herself. While I'm not blaming her, this is not the way to win a tip. My group went to other, better and cheaper restaurants during our trip, and I would suggest you do the same.

I ordered the king crab legs. When the waitress brought them there was no butter. I asked where the drawn butter was and was told they didn't have any, that the kitchen had thrown it all out. I told her I couldn't believe she wanted me to eat crab legs without butter. She got very rude and looked at me like I was a moron. She then said she would find something. She came back with a cup of something that didn't appear to be butter and had huge brown balls of stuff floating in it. At that point I was beyond angry and sent the legs back. Which again there was no apology or offer to replace with something else. The manager came to our table and offered to remove the legs from our bill. Once that was done the waitress never came back to our table. We had to go to the front to pay our bill. I've never been treated so poorly in a restaurant of this caliber. Rude waitress. No offer to make anything right. I'm not going to return.

Went back the second time and still loved it :) It‘s great quality, homemade food and lovely service! Bit expensive but you‘ll understand when you taste the food!

My wife and I sat at the bar. Ordered a bowl of clam chowder and a burger, along with a few drinks. Waited 47 minutes and finally told the bartender to forget the food order. Food never arrived. The bartender never bothered to follow up with us, and barely apologized. The manager barely apologized after I spoke to her about the food never even coming out. ATTN: Corporate....This restaurant needs help. We WILL NEVER COME BACK.

Normally, I don’t go to a chain when visiting a city, but it was so close to the hotel. It was really, really good. I had the buttermilk fried oysters appetizer from their Oysterology menu. Tender with a crisp coating. Nice amount of spice. I choose the seared sea scallops. Could have been a bit more seared, but good. My husband had the lump crab cake appetizer. Very good with NY strip cooked to perfection. A side of bousin & mushroom small mash. He wasn’t overly thrilled with the potatoes. I thought they were delicious. We shared a chocolate silk pie. Quite good. More than enough for 2. Nice atmosphere with friendly, efficient wait staff.

That as our first visit. and i think we will definitely comeback. great food and amazing service. Thank you

We had both a luncheon and dinner at this location and both times were pleased by the variety offered on their menu. Pricing is a little on the high end but the quality of both TV he food and service justify the cost.

Asked our concierge for a recommendation. And this was the place! It was early on a Sunday afternoon, not too crowded as we kidnapped our granddaughter away from her studies for lunch. Our waitress, Christina, was amazing.... so pleasant and knowledgeable. Ordered a bottle of wine, appetizers and lunch... and of course had to have dessert. Everything from the squid, to the salmon to the shrimp ROCKED. Will definitely go back when we visit Philly!!!

Best seafood. Great service Quiet and elegant atmosphere Easy access near downtown and theaters Creative sauces and beautifully plated

Great service from Sarah. She was accommodating. The food was great, they cooked the steak to perfection, and the apple pie was delicious.

I've heard about this place and finally decided to go. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals. I ordered the Hawaiian Swordfish Meal and she had the Steak w/ Lobster. Everything was delicious and I thought the bill would have been higher. Overall I was very inpressed

We stratrd out with happy hour which was great. The shucked osyters were very good along with the other food on the menu. We then stayed for dinner. Will go back again.

Unusual days in Philadelphia resulted in one excellent curbside pickup family meal. Ribeye, filets, crabcakes and salads we're enjoyed by all.

The restaurant is located in a pretty busy part of downtown. Our group of six had a great time fellow shipping together here. I tasted a bit of the fried shrimp and they were ok. The other members of our party enjoyed their meals. I was really impressed with our waiter. He made excellent suggestions and was very professional

Still very good but wasn’t wowed like I used to be. Haven’t spent a lot of time in downtown Philly so don’t have a lot to compare it too in fine dining Philadelphia. Was a little nervous about the area. Be aware of your surroundings. Lots of homeless everywhere.

Visited here on my first night in the City. Had a great rib-eye steak with mash (no fries). I was seated swiftly and had great swift service throughout the short time I spent there. I wasn't rushed, but chose to leave to hit the hay!

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. I chose it because it was seafood and for it's location. I arrived on time for our 6:30 reservation. I was immediately told that the wait w/b 20-25 minutes. I was shocked. Why make reservations? They told me all of the 6:30 reservations had to wait - as though that was going to make me feel better? So we went to the bar. The martini glasses were minuscule! Not much bigger then a shot glass. All of that being said, our waiter Joe was lovely.

All we ordered was and the service was very pleasant and welcoming. Food arrived promptly nothing special but nice. Oysters were good.

Easy to make reservations on line. No social distancing available. Wait staff friendly and efficient. Food well prepared.

Mc Cormicks and Schmidt’s near the capitol is a great location. Easy walking distance to convention center, Ritz. Marriott. Loews and The W. Nice ppl watching inside and out if you get a window table. Food was excellent

Came here with my brother and colleagues after the ASN. We were exhausted and hungry. The lady manager at the front was very helpful trying to get us a table as we had no reservation. Thanks very much. Riley was the host. Nothing was too much. We also love the food here. Definitely a must when visiting Phila.

My friend and I wanted to go to McCormick & Schmick's because we were in the mood for fish. The meal was incredible. We both agreed to have the same items on the menu. The lump crab cake was delicious. Crab cake was made with roasted Poblano tartar and jicama chimichurri $17.00 and the Maine Lobster Bisque was made with a sherry cream for $14.90 a bowl. The best lobster bisque I have ever had bar none.

The super-quick & polite service saves this place from a 3*. Foodwise, the Oysters Rockafella were not my thing, but I was experimenting. Made worse in one particular serving as the rock salt they were served on had obviously got into one of the oysters. The scallops were large and meaty - as well they should be for that price -but the serving sauces with it were boring; partly my fault for not going with the chefs recommended pairing of the risotto. The fries I had instead were heaped on (way too many) and were over-salted. The Silk Chocolate Pie is incorrectly named and should be called the Stodge Pie, not silky at all. I'm glad I ordered some vanilla ice cream as an accompaniment; it needed a lift and the chef should consider something like this a part of the dish. The decor is very grand and the dinner music modern but chilled; liked it.

First time here. We had a post-concert reservation and arrived a half-hour early but we were seated immediately. Grilled fish and service were excellent. My Hawaiian Swordfish entree lost points for sloppy plating: there were supposed to be roasted mushrooms with my fish and spinach, but I only found two small slivers. There was also supposed to be roasted red pepper and bacon but, if it was there, it was just tiny pieces in the crabmeat topping. The crabmeat was mediocre: I would never order a crabcake on a return visit. Otherwise, a very good dinner. They definitely know how to grill fish and have a good selection of fish to choose from.

Stayed at nearby hotel and ordered carryout -- a chef's special. Was told the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Arrived 30 minutes later and order was not ready, but was brought out in less than 5 min. When I got back to my hotel room, my order of pan seared cobia did not have mushroom risotto and tomato confit as described on the menu -- only a piece of lukewarm fish with a handful of roast vegetables, which were also cold. The order came with bread, but no butter. Lots of places in Philly to eat. This restaurant is convenient, but next time food quality will trump convenience.

We actually went for the steak appeal of this restaurant and were frankly disappointed by the alternatives presented; ordered the Halibut, which was dry, no flavor no flavor. Poor offer of wines, basically lower brands, all overpriced. Finally, the service: we were waited on by a quite smart fellow who, despite being very nice, failed to provide the service we expected. In short, the McCormick is we quite nice looking leading to a high expectation that, in practice, is not met.

We were a party of eight (including a young child). We started in the cocktail lounge where there was a great selection of beverages and a very friendly, pleasant bar person. We were seated promptly and the menu had many interesting choices. Two of our party had fish entrees and the others had steaks. The food was very good indeed. The restaurant is to be recommended!

Last evening, we ordered two sandwiches and two salads through Grub Hub. The meal was delivered with the hamburger crossed out. There was no phone call or other contact. I have contacted the manager who was non-plussed. They ran out of hamburgers. Perfectly, acceptable, but wouldn't it had been nice to have contacted us? The remaining food was mediocre enough that it will be a long time before we choose them, once more.

My husband and I stopped by after watching the light show at city hall. It was also the army navy game in Philadelphia so we were happy to be able to get a seat at the bar since we didn’t have reservations. With that said, we enjoyed a very nice dinner. I had the buttermilk ranch fried scallops that were delicious for an appetizer. My husband had a salad and a steak that he said was perfect along with mashed potatoes with mushrooms that he said were very good. I had the ultimate mixed grill seafood platter that was delicious!! It came with a very good crab cake, stuffed shrimp, grilled shrimp and a filet of salmon that I never got to eat bc I was full. The salmon must have been good bc my son ate it the next day. It also came with green beans and a wonderful version of mixture of mashed potatoes and I think carrots. Whatever it was was orange and sweet and wonderful. The bartender was busy so I didn’t bother to ask but it was delicious! I would recommend making reservations but they were very accommodating when we sat at the bar.

Nine of us had dinner and all were happy with the food. Appetizers included shrimp kisses, Cobb salad, octopus, oysters, crabcake. Entrees included salmon, Chilean Sea bass, Black sea bass, fried shrimp, trout. My salmon special which was stuffed with brie and crabmeat was delicious. I shouldn't have as I was full but had dessert anyway. I had the upside down walnut Apple pie with ice cream. Good but a big portion so I couldn't finish it. Service was good. The decor was lovely. They have valet parking starting a 5PM. Street parking is nonexistent as you are by City Hall.

We ran into the bar at this McCormick & Schmick's after the symphony concert on New Years Eve. We were looking for a bite to eat and warmth. We found EXACTLY that. The waitress that evening in the bar area could not have been kinder. FORGIVE ME as I do not remember her name. So very sorry. She was so kind to the 4 of us. The bar menu was excellent. The lobster bisque was the best we had ever tasted and we have traveled extensively throughout the world!!!!! Thanks so much for a lovely memory.

The food was really very good and my son was able to get a traditional "Thanksgiving dinner" which was nice, but our waitress didn't offer us bread like all the other tables around us. My husband even had a pasta dish! We brought it to a manager's attention after most of our meal was done, and he promptly got us some, but really too late. Our waitress didn't refresh our waters at all and we were left sitting there without anything to drink during our meal. She rarely checked on us. No I know it's a very busy night, but this is a very nice restaurant and I would have expected better.

This is a nice, centrally located restaurant with City Hall just across the street. Inside is well appointed. The food was very good and for a downtown site not really expensive. We had several different entrees including shrimp, salmon, beef and chicken. All were good. So was the soup and salads. The service was very good and efficient. There is a full bar and a nice menu selection.

Basic seafood restaurant. Visited with a couple of friends that did like it but we thought it was just ok.

My husband had been on a search for New England clam chowder since the weather turned (January in the northeast, so certainly been a minute). We called to the bulk of our favorite spots in south jersey, along with the highest ranked seafood spots per trip advisor - and no luck (either they were not open for lunch, or not serving clam chowder). Fortunately we found ourselves on the other side of the bridge with an afternoon open to explore what Philly had to offer. A few phone calls in, and we confirmed McCormick did in fact have it on the menu, so off we went. I wouldn't consider McCormick "fine dining" per se, but was a little concerned that we might be treated in a certain way based on the fact that my family and I were pretty much decked out in jeans, sneakers and hoodies. To my surprise, the server was polite, conversational, and I could not detect any hint of different treatment between ourselves and the other tables, which was extremely comforting. But lets get to the food. We started with fried calamari, and bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed shrimp. The former came with a nice array of fried peppers and other veggies, making it a nice experience for the mouth. And the latter -- I mean, c'mon - that's heaven on a plate, if you ask me. So. good. My husband and son went for the clam chowder - which also had sprinkles of heaven (bacon) in it, setting off the flavor from jump. My husband was satisfied to say the least. It was apparently restaurant week, and my daughter was the only one to order from that menu. She started with a fresh salad topped with a dill of some sort - we all had, and enjoyed it. For a main course, she got (I can't remember the name) a burger that was topped with taylor ham, fried egg, and BACON JAM. (I think you can see a theme here). Of course I try everyone's food - and seriously - I need more bacon jam in my life. I may or may not have eaten more of her burger than she did. I got a crab cake over orzo with veggies. The star of the plate, in my opinion, was the orzo. I legit could have had a bowl of it, and a side of veggies and been satisfied for sure. I wasn't overly impressed by the crab cake, fairly standard. For dessert, my daughter opted for the chocolate molten cake, which was decadent. And the rest of us shared a crème brulee - which, is by far the most creamy and delicious, perfectly crusted brulee I have ever had. All in all a great experience, and would definitely go back.

Amazing experience all around!! Food was delicious, but service from Anna was even better! Definitely will be back soon.

20 years have passed since my previous visit to this restaurant. The truth is that this time I was disappointed. The place is still impressive, elegant, and well decorated. Some errors in the service. The food was correct, although they used some preserved products (artichokes) and the sea bass had a cod flavor. Second parts never was good.

Amazing staff and amazing vibes! Great spot with delicious food and phenomenal drinks. Shoutout Molly! Amazing bartender! The whole team is amazing and it’s obvious how much everyone cares here.

We ran in from the rain to M&S across from the RitzCarlton for a predictable, consistent, tasty meal. High Point: a super accommodating server willing to sub a side vegetable. Low Point: lack of reds and whites from Italy and France, and a hostess who sat us in an otherwise empty dining room (as we were so early at 5:30pm) at the ONLY dark table in the room whose candle was burned out. Unique Point: lobster mac and cheese topped with lobster bisque, and our lovely server brought extra bisque in a small pitcher for both to share.

Great food and service. The pricing is what you would expect in an above average restaurant...not high and not low.

Beautiful day visiting Longwood Gardens. Come to Philly for a night away and some American History on Labor Day. Dinner at McCormick & Schmick’s. Dirty Martini at bar great ! Hostess very friendly ! Waitress friendly ! Food cooked nicely. Bar put chairs up on top of tables at 8:45. No atmosphere music broken in dining room for months. Fruit flies all around the table. Manger was informed and would not come over and acknowledge our complaints. Shame on him. 55 Steakhouses in Philly, recommend you start with a different one then finish your search for great steakhouse here. Maybe by then they will get the hint and turn this place around or be out of business by the time you get here?

I ordered their center cut filet from Seamless. WORST cut of beef ever. Also, they coat it with some kind of spice that they don't even advertise on the menu. I did not like or want the spice. I added mashed potatoes.....super small portion for what they charge. I added a review on their page on Seamless but they hide reviews. Now I know why but can post the review elsewhere like Google. Will never order from them again.

I loved my Shrimp scampi & what I really loved about the place was that they do their menu's daily, not the same ole same ole.... That was a very nice touch. The food was delicious! seasoned to perfection.

If you’re looking for good food , seafood and nice friendly atmosphere, McCormick & Schlick is the place to be. I enjoyed my surf and turf, the food is fresh, the workers are very friendly and polite. It’s in a good location downtown

Our server Christina took terrific care of us at dinner. Her advice on various choices was right on. All was as expected. Nice location right next to City Hall.

My husband and I stopped in for a drink before dinner in Philly. We hadn't been in a while but decided to grab a quick happy hour drink since we love the vibe in the bar. We specifically clarified that it was still Happy Hour and both ordered drinks off the happy hour menu. My husband asked for a Stella (which was on the happy hour menu) and was told they were out. The bartender then suggested the Sam Adam's to which he said yes. After about 10 minutes (when the guy next to us who just sat down immediately got his drink), we asked the other bartender where our drinks were. She simply said "she is making them" and pointed at the service bartender. We decided at that point we would not be staying for a second drink. Then when we got our bill I was charged for a premium happy hour drink (I was unknowingly upsold so that is my bad) and my husband's beer was regular price. When we questioned it the bartender was rude and said it wasn't her order and Sam Adam's wasn't on happy hour. Honestly it wasn't about the actual total of the bill nor the price differential, it was the point and the way the staff responded. After a few minutes of them ignoring us we simply paid the original bill and left. We will not be back.

The waitress was genuinely nice and went out of her way to make it memorable my steak was a perfect/medium rare. We had a great night and would return again. 1st time there in a while.

Even though McCormick and Schmick is a chain, their service and quality of food is outstanding. I never worry about taking a client there for a lunch or dinner.

Great meal at McCormick and Schmicks. Isiah was an outstanding server. Polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. Food was out of this world. A must see in Philadelphia.

The evening started well as we were seated promptly and received our cocktail order promptly but it was downhill from there. I ordered a salad to share, my wife had the small filet and I ordered the USDA NY strip. It took a long time for the salad to arrive and it was not split nor was a second plate provided so had to wait for that to arrive. We had just started to enjoy the salad when the entree arrived with an apology that it was so soon. I did not get the steak I ordered, it was the CAB strip (bone-in) which looked more like a Delmonico cut. So I sent it back. Another server brought it back and said they would not charge me for the more expensive cut so I accepted it (big mistake). Steak was fatty and had veins of grizzle. We ordered boursin & mushroom mash and what we got was plain mash with a side of mushrooms. The mushrooms went back and the mash was cold. We also got the asparagus which consisted of 4 stalks that were somewhat overcooked. The server never checked back to see if everything was OK until the meal was over. I voiced my dissatisfaction and she said she would send over the manage which I welcomed. Several minutes later the server came back with the check and said the manager had given us a credit for the difference in the steak cost, the mushrooms we didn't order and for the mashed potato and that the manager would not be coming over. Never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert (which we didn't). Clearly the manager didn't want to hear how baldy they screwed up our meal. On a positive note, the salad was very good and my wife's steak was also very good. We are done with M&S!

My wife and I went here after a show on broad st because she always wanted to go. The food was average (but came out quick) and the service was poor. I’m glad we went for lunch because we’re not coming back.

Average, nothing special. pay a lot for not the best quality. The food is good but for a chain restaurant there are better places to eat.

Went there for an office luncheon. We pre-ordered the food, so why did we have to wait 40 minutes? Then finally, when it was severed, (and I say that loosely, since the so called service was the worst!) the food was cold, dry and not tasty at all. The most deplorable dining experience I have ever had the displeasure to endure. I know this is not the best Philly can do, McCormick & Schumcks ...you are making us look bad.

Nikita was great! Timely, professional, and a fun time. Knowledgeable and inviting. We will certainly be back for our next adventure!

Lovely experience! Very convenient location (steps away from City Hall), great ambience, and excellent Happy Hour deals (everyday from 4-6:30PM). Special kudos to our server Molly who was attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful time.

Everyone got fish - no complaints, was cooked properly and had good flavor. There was an upcharge in order to change the vegetable pairings, however. Service was good.

I dined here for Mother's Day. A delightful treat. My menu choice of the filet and stuffed shrimp was absolutely delicious. The filet was cooked to my request and the stuffed shrimp was also good. The portion size was just right and to top it off, they gave me a chocolate covered strawberry. It was an unexpected surprise. This was a perfect ending since I couldn't possibly eat an entire dessert.

The oysters were acceptable but unexceptional. No fresh clams on the menu, despite the restaurant's proximity to the Jersey Shore. The lettuce wedge was "tired," and the dressing rather watery. Moreover, it contained a foreign object which appeared to be a small stone. The server did not seem to be overly concerned we this was brought to his attention. The "bowl" of New England clam chowder was the size of a cup; the server reassured me that it was indeed a bowl. I was curious to know how bid were the cups, but dared not inquire. I won't be dining there again.

We had a businessdinner on a monday evening. You would expect (money will flow) adequate service and good food. However. After hour bottle of champagne it took a long time for we got the wine. Off course the first bottle was empty within one go. Asking for a 2nd one took some time and ik took even longer before it was served. I has an appatizer called "table side trtar of tuna". The taste was OK but it was served like by a 10 year old kid (see foto). My main dish was macadamia crusted halibut: dry, dry. Two friends had ordered their staer rare, but it was served medium/overcooked. As it was a monday the restaurant was rathe quiet but the food was spoiled. This was my last visit at McCormick.

I've eaten at a handful of McCormick and Schmick's restaurants in different cities across the country and usually rate them 4 or 5 stars so perhaps this one was just having a bad night on this particular Monday. I ordered the Hawaiian Swordfish chef's special and the fish was definitely past it's prime. The service wasn't great, we had ordered salads and were almost done with them before the waitress took our order for our entrees. I knew the fish was no good after the first bite and told the waitress it was OK when she asked how the entrees were because it wasn't good but I didn't want to start all over again knowing my husband would be done with his entrée if I sent it back. However, I guess OK isn't good enough so I told her it wasn't fresh when she questioned it. She explained that they get it flown in fresh daily and sent the chef out to see what he could do for me. He also explained that it was flown in fresh daily which didn't change the fact that it was bad. I declined to order something else from the menu. Fortunately the swordfish was served with Andouille sausage mashed potatoes so I didn't go hungry even though I didn't eat the swordfish. Surprisingly the waitress asked if I wanted to take it home at the conclusion of the meal!

My husband and I had an excellent time there. The waiter Michael J had done an over excellent service unlike ever before!! Also Manager Brittany was really hospitable!!

Perfect place! The very center. High kitchen. We took dinner on the map - crab cake with salmon, and a set of 3 x dishes. Wine Chile by the glass .. well, not bad. I liked everything very much, and the atmosphere and food. Very tasty, especially crab cake. The account is at $ 92. I highly recommend. People are a full room.

Went out while in Philadelphia for business. Week night got right in. Wait staff Christina was great with all her tables. Food was very good, served promptly. Hot food was hot and cold food cold- I hate Luke warm unseasoned dishes. Wife’s steak was perfect which can be hard as she like it “Pittsburgh”. Thanks to the staff for a fun night well done to the whole crew there.

McCormick and Schmick's is one of my favorite Philadelphia Restaurants. I feel a little like I'm stepping back in time in their elegantly appointed room. The service is always first rate and the seafood is fresh and delicious. This is where we go to celebrate a special occasion. It comes at a price, but it is well worth it!

NEVER, EVER EAT HERE!! This restaurant stole money from me by charging my credit card more than the bill and will not answer their phone now. It has been nearly 3 weeks and they will not answer their phone and the mailbox is always full so I can't leave a message. I live several hundred miles away from this business.

Was in town for a meeting and a large group went out for dinner. Staff was able to get us a nice table to fit our group. The wait staff came by fast and took a drink order and brought bread to the table. The dinner was good , I had 30oz bone in rib-eye with mashed potato was very tasty. Several people had drinks from the bar everyone said they liked there drinks I had a greyhound which was very good.

we love this restaurant- and used to frequent our local M & S, but it recently shut down. Now we must travel to Philadelphia to enjoy some of our favorite dishes. The shrimp kisses, the oysters, the cocktails ( and in some locations the mussels) are all so very tasty! it is pricey though. We've not ever ordered main courses, as the costs are just too high for the dishes. We always sit at the bar, and the bartenders are consistently nice, quality varies. It's a treat and we always, always enjoy the food- there are excellent standards. Just wish there were more of these around the tri-state area.

Went to dinner with friends, the glass of wine arrived in mid meal, the fish entree was dry and salty, had to return it, probably pre heated the calamari appetizers were not crispy, serve is nice RSTMN 6/10

Wanted to try this steakhouse right across from City Hall in Phila., having passed it often. You sit and look around and the first question is "Why are there only 4 tables occupied at 1230p on a weekday?" The 'other' steakhouse just a block south will have 34 tables filled at lunch. And now we know. First, the service is slow. 75 minutes is NOT acceptable for a business lunch - especially with the place not busy. Second, the food is sub-par. How can a steakhouse hamburger be tepid, overcooked, and bland? Easy, they obviously pre-cook the burgers at 9am and quick-warm them on the grill for the lunch crowd. It showed, in spades. The unappealing patty on a greasy roll was not edible. A lunch salad with four small shrimp was ok, nothing great. A 5-ounce cup of soup was fine, if petite. On balance, this place offers no good reason to pay a visit - especially with the Other place one block to the south. Will not return.

Haley was a wonderful server. The dining experience was multiplied exponentially by her attentive service. We had a wonderful time.

This restaurant is a little overrated as a seafood destination. The menu is limited. I had the blackened striped bass on a mound of mashed potatoes and spinach ($32), the skin was left on under the fillet which made it very difficult to remove with out disassembling the whole presentation. Not a very easy dish to comfortably eat. Service was great but price was on the high side.

My Old Friend...Time has not been kind to you! I haven’t visited McCormick & Schmick’s in years..so I was thinking it will be a good time based on past experiences. When we were seated in the main dining room I noticed that it was pretty empty! The decor is outdated and the dining room is too dark! We decided to have a cocktail to get the dinner started-we went with the Paloma and this tasted like watered down grapefruit juice? We proceeded onto the appetizers and that was an order or calamari and lobster bites! Both were overcooked and this was disappointing Becca we were hungry! At this point the manager appears and tried to smooth over the situation, but our feelings of being reassured that the entrees would save the day didn’t happen! I was so upset at the state of my scallops and lobster mashed potatoes (drowning in some generic cheese sauce...awful-not an elevated dish you would expect from an upscale restaurant)! My Bae had to send his Kobe Burger back! Dinner Over! Returning to McCormick showed me that this is the restaurant that time has left behind! If they don’t do a make-over of the decor & menu—they can’t possibly stay in business much longer! McCormick is living off the reputation of their past! Luckily the staff and management are friendly and provided good customer service!

Excellent place and great service by our server Domiak, who constantly checked on us to ensure we had a great dining experience. Food was delicious as well, had the Australian Lobster. The calamari appetizer was also fantastic. Will definitely dine here again whenever in the Atlantic City area, highly recommend this place.

Easy to get seated without a reservation. Good Service but swordfish was a much thinner steak than in past. It was less than i expected. My wife enjoyed her steak meal.

The service and seafood dish was excellent. Very tasty, fresh shrimp and salmon. The green beans was so tender and the mashed potatoes was perfect. The sangria was the best I've ever had. I only wish the lunch portion had a little more food on the plate. Clean and comfortable atmosphere but the restrooms was smelly as if there was a broken sewer line.

First time visiting this restaurant and I was very impressed. Good food and excellent, friendly service. My wife enjoyed the salmon and I ordered the crab cakes. Both meals were well presented and enjoyable. The portion sizes are very generous. The staff are very nice and professional. I would certainly visit this restaurant or another McCormick & Schmick's.

Great food and nice service. The location was perfect as I had meetings in the convention centre this is a short walk away and was a perfect place to go

Stopped here before a wedding for a quick bite to eat and a cocktail. The clam chowder was perfect and so was the Bloody Mary! We ate in the bar and the service was excellent considering it was mid-day. Will definitely return when back in the city.

Had dinner with a small group of business associates. Service was attentive and there were enough items on menu for both seafood lovers and those who prefer steak. A bit disappointed in ahi tuna appetizer- server did not explain it was raw. I had the fried shrimp which were excellent.

Was fairly quiet and closed at 9pm. Sat at bar. Barman very busy even though seemed quiet. Good wine choice. Excellent food. Hawaiian blackened swordfish. Good Key Lime. Very enjoyable

My Family and I (party of 12) came for my Sister in Law birthday dinner. We had to wait a few minutes for everyone to arrive (we had a 4pm reservation) and we were seated in a timely manner. We were seated for about 5 minutes when our waiter Austin came and introduced himself. Our drinks, appetizer and entree were served & always with a smile and never had an attitude. Austin was very attentive to our needs and never made us feel as if we were a bother. The food, ambiance and of course our waiter were the best. Especially Austin.

Went to McCormick and Schmick’s with a business group. Nice venue right next to Wanamaker’s and Philadelphia City Hall. Pleasant atmosphere. Good service. Bulleit bourbon old fashions very good. Calamari a little overdone and chewy. Patagonian toothfish (aka “Chilean sea bass) flaky and pistachio nut encrusted ( mine a tad underdone) Good risotto. Cannot speak to the veal medallions or salmon. Presentation was very good. Coffe not really hot. Ice cream fine as well. What can I say. Fine all around but nothing outstanding. The restaurant was closing up at 10PM as we were leaving. A safe venue but with so many excellent small restaurants in Philly, we should have been more adventurous.

Nine of us met for an early dinner before a concert at the Kimmel. Our server was awesome. We had appetizers, entrees, desserts, drinks, coffees and everyone enjoyed everything. There was no bad. Valet parking ($22.00) available after 5pm as street parking is non existing. Restaurant is by City Hall and a 4-5 blocks from the Kimmel.

Stopped in for a few cocktails after shopping nearby. The restaurant itself is solid and the bar was quite full the entire time we were there. We had a few glasses of wine and some bar bites which were tasty. My only comment would be about the service. While the staff were attentive I wouldn't go so far to say they were friendly or outgoing. While no one was rude by any means one simply got the feeling that the bar staff wasn't particularly thrilled to be there and that lack of enthusiasm definitely came across in the service.

We landed into town from the UK on a very cold Thanksgiving night with no reservation. We threw ourselves on the mercy of McCormick and Schmick’s. We arrived to see a long queue of people with bookings waiting for their tables so we went into the bar area. A table was opening up for walk-ups and we managed to snaffle it. Our meal was tasty, the service was efficient even though it was crazy busy and we enjoyed a very lovely couple of hours before the jet lag kicked in. I’d definitely dine here again if I was in town.

We used the private dining room upstairs for a business presentation and :Lisa did a phenomenal job of taking care of us. Fast service, really quick turnaround for orders and great communication. Highly recommended.

While sight seeing in Philadelphia, we decided to have a real date night dinner. Passed this place twice and decided to try it. I would have given it a five but the server did not offer fresh grounded pepper until I requested and they were out of two of the six or on menu. The Lobster bisque and sea scallops were great. The bone end rib eye was cooked perfectly and served with real fresh horseradish. To top it all I had the The Upside Down Apple Pie, with Walnuts and Carmel Ice cream. Our server Cherelle was very pleasant and knowledgeable and errors not having deserts were out of her control. Cannot wait to return to Philadelphia.

The waiter we had was hard to understand and no personality at all. It took 50 minutes to get our appetizer and was placed on the corner of the table behind the glass rather than in front of us so we could reach it. The table which was sat after us were served faster by the other waiter. Spoke to the other waiter and said that we were not happy with our waiter and would like to be changed to someone else. Our waiter came over and asked what was wrong. We told him we would like to speak to the manager. Asked again and we were told she was in her office. As we were walking out of the restaurant she appeared and we said we were leaving and she told us to have a nice evening and did not care. Went to the Capital Grill and were served promptly from our very pleasant waitress who knew what she was doing. Ended up having a wonderful evening at Capital Grille and so glad we walked out of McCorkick and Schmick.

Incredible evening. RSVP’d for a party of 6 for Grand mom’s 94th birthday. Party grew to 9 at the last minute with other family joining. Maître d, Tim Collins, adjusted our reservations on the spot to accommodate us and got us a private room. The food was incredible. Everyone got a different entrée and every dish was delicious. Server Kayla was incredible and paid attention to every detail. From drinks and appetizers to main course and dessert, the quality and service were perfect. Can’t wait to do it again. THANK YOU Tim and Kayla.

Restaurant had fantastic service. Food was fresh and steak was nice and juicy. Will definitely visit again!

We loved this place. We were expecting it to be really busy on a Saturday evening, so it was great to get a table. The service was excellent. Our server, Isaiah, was just great - funny, knowledgeable, really helpful - and the food was superb. Oh, and the chocolate bag dessert was wonderful!

The seafood is delicious but I wish they had more non-seafood options. It's a great center city location and beautiful atmosphere!

We first visited on restaurant week. Every aspect of the dinning experience was perfect. Came back latter and had the same wonderful time!
Nice place for special dinner.
My wife and I visited to celebrate a birthday. Food, service and atmosphere were all pretty good. Menu is a little pricey but it is center city Philly an upscale place. Would recommend before a show but don't think I would bring kids with the prices.
