Real insider tip🤩

Very friendly and excellent food!!! Best restaurant in Seattle a real insider tip 🤩 Really great decor

Lunch Special

By our5boys |

Spicy Italian sausage over penne pasta was very good. Cosy place. Good selection, atmosphere location and service.

Great Saturday am breakfast

By Kyholland |

Town town breakfast is more limited than expected but this place was perfect. The hash and omelette were great. Nice open air seating and service.

Great old-school hidden gem!!

By KF |

Our go-to spot in the pioneer square area of Seattle. Delicious pub fare, and they cute/smoke all of their own meat and make their own sausage. They also have great salads. Every time we go to Seattle we eat here!!

Great food and service

By ladyblue90 |

We stopped in after a Mariners game and glad we did. Place was busy, but we were seated right away. Decorated in Fire Department memorabilia, with a seating area and separate bar. Server came over immediately and presented menus. Husband and I decided on the Philly cheesesteak with fries. Also ordered a side of cole slaw. Everything was hot and tasty. Cole slaw was creamy, just right. Large portions and prices are reasonable. Server was attentative and friendly. Each night, they have a dinner special. Definite recommend.

Hungry in Seattle

By Nora H |

Great pub atmosphere, great service, and great food! We really enjoyed the firehouse decor, too. We will definitely be back.

Big time lunch spot

By FinGin79 |

On a recommendation from our free shuttle driver, we had lunch at McCoys. Wow! Our pulled brisket sandwiches , mine ā€œspikedā€ with a hot link’, and sides were great. Add a big basket of onion rings and I’m still stuffed. It was good!!

Really Enjoyed Eating Here!!

By TimeToTravel2468 |

This place was so good we ate here TWICE!! On our first visit we had the rib eye steak and baked potato and it was delicious. On our second visit, we sat outside and had the cheeseburger and fries. Really delicious!! Service was excellent and the staff very friendly. You can’t go wrong eating here!!

Breakfast heaven

By o311mom |

We only found out about this resturaunt on our last day in Seattle so we had breakfast there. Unfortunately we had to wait until 9:00am on Sunday to eat because that's what time they open. It was definately worth the wait. My husband had french toast which was melt in your mouth delicious. I had the breakfast burritto which was tastey but huge so bring a big appitite. Their hot apple cider was a nice option since we don't drink coffee but wanted something warm. Definately a must try. Just wish we could have tried their lunch and dinner menus.

Excellent steak and beer.

By Mike W |

We were looking for a good meal near our hotel and tried McCoy's. We had a great steak dinner for an exceptional price! The firehouse theme was very well done. The beer selection was very good. The wine pours are generous.

Wonderful food!

By stjohnbeachlover |

My husband and I dined here with friends while staying in Seattle. My husband and I split the surf and turf which was on special that night. It was a steak, 3 coconut shrimp, a baked potato and a salad. We also had two beers and the total bill before tip was $32. The food was quite good and the serving was a decent size. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the Courtyard by Marriott at Pioneer Square.

Haven for gluten free

By Ann B |

OK so even if you don't have gluten issues the food is great. All four of us loved the dinner and the atmosphere for the Seahawks game ... nice people, nice place. I have found out that if you want good gluten free buns go to a bar run by a celiac. The best bread I have had in a long time! Talk to Dan the man and tell him Ann sent you šŸ˜€.

Great Breakfast

By Sequim88 |

Took Sounder to town on holiday weekend Monday morning knowing we would look for breakfast somewhere when we arrived. Saw the breakfast sign a couple blocks from King St. Station and dropped in. We each had an omelette and they were huge and loaded with the fillings (Denver and Mushroom & 4 Cheese). Small add-on for the grilled mushrooms added to my wife's. Reasonable price (for Seattle). Lots of interesting fire and police dept. items on the wall including many department patches from all over. Service was great

Great Food!

By wanderlustandsparkle |

Great food, the customers service um what can I say I sat at a table the server asked what I wanted to drink I said coke the server brought it never gave me a menu I had to ask for it ten minutes later after she came to give another table some menu's server didn't even seem to like me. The guy at the door big guy was friendly and nice. Might go again but not by myself.

My favorite spot for lunch

By Les C |

I work across the street from McCoys and stop in for lunch about once a week. The restaurant / bar are usually pretty busy during lunch and I've eaten at the bar more than once. The food isn't fancy - sandwiches, salads, burgers, fries - and I love it here. The staff are great. Down to earth and very friendly. I'm a big fan of the burgers and I love the chicken strips. They also put some sort of salt seasoning on their fries that I can't get enough of. They make sure your drink (if you drink at lunch) is worth the price. I have a punch card for lunch and I'll continue to stop in here when I need a break. If you like pub food (and I do) I'd recommend it here anytime.

My Only Pre-Seahawks Venue!

By Jeff N |

Been coming here from out of town for years prior to seahawks games. I normally fly in early morning on game day. Light rail it from airport to international district stop. Few blocks later having breakfast buffet, some cocktails, pre-game tv, and strategy sessions with other patrons. It gets busy on game day and staff does great job of keeping things moving. I only come for seahawks games and year after year they remember still. Love this place and it has been a ritual for me now for 10+ years.

Patch Bar

By MIZT13 |

If you know what this means, bring one to get one. Irish owners, a rare sight on this coast. Highly recommend to drink at before or after or during a game!!!!

Great Value Here

By kiwisteve57 |

There is a nightly special here that is great value. Very cool building,an old fire hall, and not too big.Has a bar on one side and restaurant on the other. We keep coming back here.

Rude waitstaff, not family friendly and overpriced food

By HDOrr |

Went to this restaurant on the advice of the girl at the front desk of our hotel. The idea of a firehouse themed restaurant sounded great. In actuality, it isn't more than an old building with a smattering of old (and very dusty/dirty) firefighting gear hanging haphazardly throughout. We'd heard the food was good, so we were willing to look past our initial impression. Since we had children with us, we chose a table near a window on a side of the restaurant away from the bar. The bartender and waitress were holding a loud and inappropriate conversation, and apparently couldn't be bothered to greet us... it took about 5 minutes ( we were about to get up and leave). Once we ordered, our food took quite a while to be served. And, when we wanted refills on our sodas, we had to go looking for our waitress. Our children shared an order of what amounted to chicken nuggets and fries. The chicken was overcooked, dry and had to sit for 10 minutes before it was cool enough to eat. My wife had a "turkey dip" sandwich, which was good, but nothing special. I must say I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, very similar to good BBQ that you can find in the South. But the prices are out of sight for what you get and the location. I would expect to pay that much for the same items at a high end hotel, but not in this venue, which is located in a somewhat shady area of town. My recommendation: skip this one.

Awesome breakfast!

By Micker66 |

We had drinks here the night before and it's a cool atmosphere. We saw they were open for breakfast the next day. It was quiet, food was very good, service was excellent. We sat on the patio in the sun, it was just what we were looking for.

Nice place to eat.

By ymmit650 |

Very quaint bar and grill with great history. Good food, service and atmosphere. Nice place to visit in this area for dinner and drinks. Would return if in the area.

Outsiders Welcome

By Ladderman301 |

Went to this place on a recommendation. Needed a place to go before Seahawks/Giants game. This place was perfect. They had an all you can eat breakfast buffet going on. It included chicken and waffles, Scram Eggs, Bacon, biscuits, ham, And 2 types of sausage. It was great. Drinks were good along with a selection of local beer. It's located literally a stones throw away from the Gates of century link field!

Great Steak Specials

By Cody Lux |

I had the New York 12 ounce steak, potato, salad and a beer all for well under $20.00 and the food was quality. The steak special is only on Thursday's. I highly recommend going to the breakfast which is good special if you have two people. McCoy's is in a great location that's located in the heart of Pioneer Square.

Good food, drink and service

By GulliverBrisbane |

And it honours fallen firefighters! We popped in here for a quick drink on a hot afternoon after visiting the Klondike Gold Rush National Park. The bar and restaurant have lots of firefighting memorabilia on the walls which were really interesting. We ordered a plate of nachos - we thought we were competing in the man versus food completion - it was huge!! And tasty! One order was more than enough for 2 of us. Staff were happy and friendly.

best Rueben

By Cindy F |

Reuben is my favorite. I regularly order them wherever I go and mentally judge and track them. This was possibly the best I've ever had - for sure within the top five. The cheeseburger was also rated the best she'd ever had by my wife. Service was fast and friendly. Place is very nice. Clean too. We found this by taking a walk from the Amtrak station looking for lunch. Great find for us!

Good old fashion food!

By MaritaHoldaway |

If you are a fireman you will definitely get plenty of food on your plate. Even if you are not everything is so yummy the leftovers are almost as good as the hot plate from the kitchen. There is a nice outdoor seating area and if you like sausage they make their own. This is one of my favorite breakfast places just be careful to check the sports schedule, it is a favorite place for Seahawks fans!

Cool Place With Friends

By Bill F |

Yes. This is a great place. Second time here as a traveler. Pub,with a great vibe. Really good service and food. Came here this time before a Seahawks game and was filled with both teams fans. Highly recommend the peanut butter burger. Seriously....simple and great.

Great Place

By Don M |

I dropped in for a beer and light dinner. I was not disappointed. The beer selection and food is good. The atmosphere is comfortable, and the staff friendly. I'll be sure to come back the next time I visit Seattle.

Decent place and good pub food

By EndyBOSTON |

The service here was nice and professional. The food is pub food, it was good. The price is very doable.

Great hearty food, friendly staff

By Peterinl0nd0n |

Wandered into here after arriving at the nearby King Street station. Friendly relaxed service. We had the brisket sandwich (awesome) and chicken strip sandwich (excellent). Highly recommend.

OK place to have a drink

By TravelingDad_PTFC |

Stopped in after breakfast to have a Bloody Mary before going to the baseball game. Bartender seemed bothered we were there at first, but then warmed up & was pretty friendly. Drinks were OK, only garnish was a lime wedge & an olive dropped in the drink, not even on a toothpick. Had to dip my fingers into the beverage to retrieve it. Seemed weird. Nothing special, but not bad either.

Bit slow on the initial...

By Jim H |

Bit slow on the initial service but came to understand that's more about the laid back style of this fine eatery. Food was really, really good sandwiches and burgers and such with a full bar and in the heart of Pioneer Square so close to work and if you have out of towners in towning.

Great casual dining

By Sarah C |

Very casual, we popped in here after the ball game and enjoyed enormous portions of burgers and chips. The atmosphere is interesting, being in the old firehouse, with plenty of memorabilia on the walls etc

Damn it, Jim! I'm a Doctor, not a Cook! But this Patty Melt is worth losing a few Red Shirts!

By PhlegmMaster |

This place was awesome! Cool decor. One of the best patty melts I've ever eaten! My wife had a cheeseburger, which was also quite delicious, but after she took a couple of bites of my sandwich, she agreed that it was the acme of patty melts! The French Fries were some of the tastiest fries I've ever had in a restaurant. We got lucky and the stars aligned to make this the best meal we had during our trip to Seattle!

Pub Food

By haroldtoronto |

Down in the original section of Seattle called Pioneer SQ. Old bar similar to some in Buffalo NY in need of a make over but ok for a drink. We ordered the Quesadilla and a Ruben with fries. The Rubin toast was burnt and the fires passed the ketchup test. The Quesadilla with chicken was awesome and hugh. The local beers hit the spot and we took have of the quesadilla back to the hotel for breakfast the next am. $31 (no Tax) for our two beers and meals. Menu was ok but not high end.

Very good prices, large portions, quick and good service. It is a bar & grill, but good for families on a budget too.

By JECOhio |

We were checking out Pioneer Square and decided to give this place a try for lunch. We made a good choice. It is basically a bar & grill but really did not seem like it. There were several families in there while we were there. We were seated at two tables because there were 8 of us and both our servers were with us very quickly to get our drinks order and ask if we had any questions about the menu. It took us a while to read through the extensive menu and decide. (we had to ask the waitress to come back in a few minutes for our order...lol). The order was taken and the food was out fairly quickly and was hot. I had the steak special. This was a 10 oz steak and came with two sides and toast for only $13! They also had other cuts which were slightly higher but still very reasonable. The steak was cooked to order (medium) and the sides were large. My daughter had the beef brisket sandwich and really enjoyed it. It was served in a hot dog type bun which was different. The French fries were crisp and tasty. (ok, I tried some of hers...) Others in our party got the cheeseburger, chicken salad amongst other items. The chicken salad sandwich was large. My brother in law said that the burger was juicy and cooked to order. The waitress kept checking on us and kept our drinks filled and had the check to us in a timely fashion. Overall a very good dining experience. In and out quickly and very full bellies! The prices are very good for the Seattle area and as mentioned, both table's waitresses were great! Don't miss this place.

Great atmosphere and great ambient

By SasaMil |

Bar look great, very interesting setting. Food was just ok, we were there for breakfast 11 am but the lady was not in the mood and I guess the chef either....

The real McCoy

By MargW1949 |

Came across McCoys on our last walk around Seattle before we boarded the Amtrak Blue train to Chicago. We had a coffee and brandy, then another. We looked at the menu and decided to stay and eat. My husband had a steak and said it was the best one he had ever tasted. Would recommend it to anyone

Fabulous Food & Atmosphere

By berniece2000 |

We stumbled upon this place while waiting for a concert at T-Mobile. Luckily we went early, as the place was hopping by the time we left - two different people tried to get us to give them our table as we were finishing. The server seemed pretty busy, so service wasn't as attentive as it might have been, but we managed to have a couple of tasty drinks & an incredibly yummy pork sandwich. I chose sweet-potato-tater-tots as my side, thinking it sounded interesting and OMG I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Highly recommend the sweet-tots! Upon return to Seattle, we will go out of our way to eat at McCoys.

Good food and they do all their own meats, sausage, brisket and chicken!

By Carolinacamper |

What a great find. The freshest salad delicious bake potato and cooked perfect steak. Large serving and friendly staff. Amanda was our server and she was friendly, knowledgeable and was very patience and kind. We will be back.

Great food and great price!

By Polly_D20142014 |

The food was delicious. I am a very picky eater and the food at this place was perfect. It came out exactly as I ordered. I like eggs well done I asked for it and go it the way I like. The bacon is smoked here which makes it delicious. My husband ordered a steak and he said it was very good. He had french fries also and they were fresh and crispy.

Good breakfast

By daveinkent44 |

We found this place shortly before passing out with hunger on our first morning in Seattle. We had a really friendly waitress who assisted in telling us about the local attractions. I had the biscuits & gravy, which I always wanted to try and am glad I did, although my friend had corned beef hash, which I wished I had ordered. The food was tasty and the coffee not bad at all.

Good Luck

By jameswW6741PS |

Never got served. Waited 20 minutes. Finally just left. Don't know if you were supposed to order at the bar, but nothing Indicated as such. Dissapointing.

Delicious Food

By di v |

The firehouse theme is apparent throughout the restaurant. The food is excellent, and there is a full bar available.

GREAT atmosphere, food, drinks and owner accent!

By Jen |

First off, order the Dave's Texas BBQ pulled pork sandwhich and you WON'T regret it!!! Simon our sever (and perhaps the owner?) is SUCH a gem! Super friendly! I also ordered a can of tisted tea and because they were out he offered to make me something similar and it was literally the most delicious pack-punching drink I've ever had! I would literally drive the 2 hours just to go there again. Super chill atmosphere and we just loved it!

Perfect

By bill |

It does not get any better. Ask for Chrystal orDave. Terrific people. The food is always perfect. Our favorite (only) stop when in town.

Definitely would go back~great food, service & great price!

By peachkoblerpie |

Read about this place on trip advisor! A definite place to eat. Great food, good service & good prices. We ate breakfast meals and hamburgers(really good!) and brisket(also very good!). Friendly staff. Thumbs up! Forgot our waitress's name! Sorry. Friendly service though. Pioneer square does have a lot of homeless folks and some are a little aggressive. Just be warned.

Great food and service

By teradon |

After a trip to Pioneer Square we came across this bar and grill. The food was fresh and very reasonable, friendly staff. However if your not American or Canadian you will need to show a passport to get a beer!

Crap

By jonathan s |

Just waited 20 mins for no service…waitress came to our table 3+ times without taking order for drinks or food. TRAIN EMPLOYEES. Waitress looked scattered and confused and couldn’t understand what customer service looks like. WORST RESTAURANT IN PIONEER SQUARE

Classic diner, with bar.

By SunnynMark |

These seem to be disappearing from many bigger cities. This one is a throwback. The bar is often packed with drinkers -- even in the morning. The food is straight diner food -- good, serviceable, and moderately priced. Occasionally is necessary to send something back as the cooks are tad sloppy. Once I asked for everything to be well done. You guessed it, it was barely cooked. But they did do it right the second time.

LOVE IT!

By Hawaii4ever15 |

Walked from the Courtyard Marriott to eat someplace with variety of food. Sat at a table and the bartender took our drink order. No wait for the waitress to take our food order. Both were personable and outgoing. Got the Just a Burger, which was juicy and full of flavor. Chicken fried steak was pretty good too. Had good conversation with the friendly people there. Value was good. Will be back!

Best Burger I ever had!

By alexxm8 |

I've been there with two of my friends and we all took the firehouse burger with fries. It was really really good! It was probably the best burger my friends and I had and the french fries are awesome. Way cheaper than McDonalds and Co. and 1000 times better! And the guy who served us was really nice so thumbs up šŸ‘šŸ»

They make a fantastic peanut butter bacon burger. Which admittedly sounds gross but is actually surprisingly good. It comes with my highest recommendation.

Not your run of the mill firehouse

By Anthony P |

This bar/restaurant was a truly unique experience. The food was interesting, plentiful and well prepared. It had tons of beer choices and if it is a weekend and Tim is there you will have exemplary service.

Top notch bar pub food

By Brian R |

Our hotel recommended this nearby neighborhood pub bar and it was fantastic all around. Great food we had the steak and baked potato with Caesar salad which is also good. Place is clean the service was excellent friendly atmosphere. The New York steak dinner was $19 with salad and baked potatoes and all the Fixin's. You can't beat the price great value great food cooked just right With excellent service

Good little neighborhood bar/restaurant

By wendygm |

We had a really nice meal at this little neighborhood bar. Good service and delicious food. The only downside was the area we walked through from the Best Western Pioneere Square Hotel to get there, a homeless man was cursing at us for no apparent reason, which made me very nervous. We returned the next block over to avoid that section. But nice little place otherwise.

Good But Not great

By greglinmon |

I was expecting more...food was good but not great. The service was good but again not great. Nice setting. Great area. I thought the menu was solid but limited

Good location and good burgers

By rusty_fwg |

We met some friends downtown here for late night grub. Full bar and a dozen or so taps with local beers. Menu is pub. Had their peanut butter burger, very tasty. Fried okay, should have sprung for the sweets instead. Very dimly lit on the dining side even though there were lights overhead, they were not on. Not sure but maybe a dimmer might be a good investment unless that's the look they are going for. I liked the firehouse decor and the place was clean overall. I'll try again, maybe during the day next time!!

Best Corned Beef Hash!

By g35girl |

We had breakfast at McCoy's during our visit to Seattle. It's a quaint, rustic bar/restaurant close to Pioneer Square. At first I was a little nervous as there was only one other person in the restaurant but my hesitation was unfounded. The service was great as was the food. The corned beef hash breakfast was the best I have ever had!! I highly recommend this place!

Worst service ever!

By Karen M |

we never actually got to try the food because we waited fifty minutes after ordering and were told it was still "going to be awhile", as in another 40 minutes, which made no sense. It was game day, as in Blue Jays were in town so the restaurant was quite busy with Canadian fans (us included). We stopped in for breakfast and because we weren't sure what else was close by we actually sat and waited in the hopes of getting a meal. Another table of guests left without eating and i asked them how long they had waited and they said 40 minutes. I finally went in (we were out on patio) to ask when our breakfast was going to be ready and was abruptly told "i don't know what you ordered" and "well you can leave if you want". The server eventually figured out that it was still going to take awhile even though it looked like there were only about 4 orders up and it's bacon and eggs for goodness sake! I actually think they didn't want us there so we left, after wasting an hour of our precious time in Seattle before the game. I actually think this was my worst restaurant service experience. Ever. In my life.

Ok Breakfast meal

By tb911 |

Wife had the McCoy's scramble -- which was a whole mess of everything, and I had the homemade corned beef hash. In general things were fine, but I would say the hash was too dry. Biscuits were ok, not really light and flaky. Gravy was fine. Overall nothing wrong, but nothing stood out either. Nice ambiance with the old firehouse decor.

Nice place

By K S |

Okay, it's a bar/tavern, but it has great food and the service was excellent. I had a BBQ sandwich which came with coleslaw and fries. It was really tasty, I don't think you would be disappointed.

Great Burgers.

By Janet S |

So many things to chose from. Seating outside is quieter. Tried the peanut butter burger as well as the one with the fried egg. Both are good. The daily special looked great. The waitress was very helpful with our questions about what to do in the area.

Cozy Sunday Afternoon

By 2013CTB |

Irish Pub-Sports Bar kinda place. Food was good, burgers and fries, prices were reasonable and it wasn’t too noisy. Just finished taking in some of the sights around Pioneer Square and this was the perfect end to the day.

Sports bar

By USAwalkers |

We stopped here because we were hungry for lunch. The Seahawks were losing, and the tables were filled with fans. I ordered a veggie omelet and didn't notice right away that I was served a ham omelet (which the bill listed). The waitress did not come back to check with us (I think she had gone for a break). The Seahawks started to make good plays and were adding points. The ham omelette was OK, nothing special. My husband ordered a hamburger, which he enjoyed. We had finished our food and my husband was almost ready to go to the bar to pay the bill when she reappeared.

Great lunch

By Dan C |

This place is unique. It honors the firefighters of Seattle. There are uniforms and tons paraphernalia on the walls all around the restaurant. The kids will love it as well as the adults. The food and service was good. They were able to accommodate our family of eight. We will be back.

Good food, service could have been better

By Scott W |

This restaurant is close to a few hotels, the two downtown stadiums, and walking distance from many corporate businesses. The menu offered a variety of choices, the beer was excellent, and with the windows open on a summer evening, we had a nice, relaxing environment. That being said, the night we went there was slow - not a lot pf people there, as it was after the normal dinnertime hour - and we were greeted very brusquely and made to feel like we were imposing on the staff because we needed a few minutes to look over the choices. It may have been a bad day for our server, but I left that night feeling satisfied with the food (very good house burger), but a bit put off by the off-hand treatment of our table. If I visit Seattle again, I will probably try the restaurant again, as I believe in visiting twice to get the best "feel" for a place.

Great lunch

By Dan C |

This is quaint a unique place. It honors the fire fighters of Seattle. There is paraphernalia on the walls and very entertaining. Good food and service. We enjoyed our meals and we will be back. Yes, we recommend it!

Best Dam bar in Seattle

By M00nTraveller |

This place gave us an immediate taste of downtown USA. Atmosphere was great, Staff were mega friendly. Food was fantastic, beer was great and all at great value. I love this bar.

Nice decor - event day menu lacking

By YearoftheRabbit |

The food was good and the prices decent. Unfortunately, the gameday menu is very small. The decor is cool and the location is only 2 blocks from Seahawks stadium. Nothing hugely special about it.

The worst steak I’ve ever had

By Trey C |

This was the absolute worst steak I’ve had in my entire life. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it came out well done. This place is terrible even the sides tastes horrible. There are so many better places in this area, especially for lunch. I would recommend Tats right around the corner if you can get there before they close.

Good Food at Good Price

By William S |

Good food at fair price. I had the blue plate special, fried chicken, sweet corn, over mashed potatoes and gravy. My wife had chicken fried steak special.

Absolutely Rude Waiter

By RylieJo |

Just wanted to stop in for lunch with our mother who is in a wheelchair.... No one attempted to help us so we moved a few chairs from the table to accommodate her situation and the water just freaked out on us for doing so with out asking. We will NEVER recommend this place to anyone after this experience. Hopefully this post gets to the management so some type of customer service training is provided!!

Good meeting place before a game

By valleem |

Overpriced for quality, but close to stadium so it makes a good place to meet up before a game or concert. Food was alright, basic burgers.

Excellent

By Brooke C |

We went here for breakfast in June of 2010 for breakfast. We had two 7 year old girls and me and my husband. The food and service were fantastic. The saff was great with the girls and we all enjoyed it. The bloody marys were strong and spicy the way they are supposed to be. My husband and I found this place again in April of 2011. We were in Seattle for our anniversary and wanted to get the great bloody marys again. This time we went for lunch. The burgers were great and the service again was outstanding. We will fo back to McCoys the next time we are in Seattle

Four Alarm Breakfast

By Fred S |

What a great place to have breakfast. We got there before opening but they let us in anyway. McCoy's maybe a little off the beaten path, but it's well with the trip. Super friendly waitress. She apologized for being a little slow since they were working on a major catering job. The breakfast was well prepared and in large portions. Even the orange juice was served in at least a 12 oz glass. The hash was made on the premises (not canned) and tasted wonderful. While waiting for your food, it's well worth the effort to look around at all the memorabilia. Go in with a big appetite if you're a tourist since you won't have anyplace to keep it afterwords. The prices are extremely fair given the amount of food served. Wished we could have been there for dinner to check out the vibe of the place.

Good food, slow service

By steamsailor |

Dad and I ate at McCoy's during a 2014 visit to Seattle and liked it enough to want to return. However, the service during this return visit was excruciatingly slow, especially considering that there were very few customers in the establishment. We ended up taking our order "to go" back to our hotel a couple of blocks away. We were very disappointed with the service but the quality of the food itself was still good, so we may still risk a return visit in the future.

Enjoyed this

By John H |

We came across this eating place unexpectedly and decided to try it for lunch. The man handling taking orders, and everything except the cooking, was extremely friendly and helpful; fun to talk to and full of tourist advice for those asking. The decor was very interesting, with fire.fighting things: helmets and fire hose nozzles and other such artifacts. The food was very tasty (I had a turkey sandwich). The brick walls added to the atmosphere. A couple of big screen TVs had the NFL draft on.

The start of our tour

By Nick K |

Had some hours to spend in Seattle and had a wander around Pioneer Square. As we left we call in McCoys for a bite to eat. We were very impressed with the service and a good selection of food on the menu. We ordered and the food was soon on our table. Very well cooked and extremely tasty. Would highly recommend a meal in this great bar and grill.

AWEFUL

By Lougav |

We were in town for the Scotts Firefighter Stair climb and came here about 9 at night and the place was pretty empty and the bartender acted like we just ruined is whole night by showing up. The drinks sucked, and he ended up making on of my friends cry because he was so rude. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK..

Great atmosphere and food

By jdog2855 |

Looking for a good brew pub and this place does not disappoint. Burgers were cooked to order with delicious French fries. Excellent, friendly service and great decor made this the perfect afternoon stop for a bite.

Excellent atmosphere & location

By Taryn F |

Wonderful pub! Food is great as is the staff. Great location close to the sporting arenas. It's a must if you're in the area!

Fire fighter recommended, can't go wrong

By MCH65 |

While visiting the Last Resort Fire Department museum we asked one of the fireman a good place to eat in the neighborhood and he suggested McCoy's Firehouse Bar and Grill. Our waitress gave us great service and was very helpful with the menu. Our two year old grandson was hungry and wrestles. She did a fantastic job keeping him entertained until his meal was ready. The burgers, salads and sandwiches were fantastic. The Peanut Butter burger was highly recommended and didn't disappoint.

Great value, tasty food, good service!

Friendly neighborhood bar/restaurant. Quick service. Steak was tender & had really good flavor. The bbq pork was smothered in a spicy bbq sauce, not my preference so I would have preferred the sauce on the side. My preference. Lively place, would return. Not sure if I would consider it a family friendly place .. reminds me of a "Cheers" type place.

Delicious food!

We were here for lunch and really enjoyed our food and had good service. There is table seating in a separate room plus table seating next to the bar (which is where we chose). We were only in Seattle for the day but it appeared to be popular for locals.

Good food, great service, friendly staff

After a long day traveling, we wanted something close to our hotel and found this place online. It’s a casual restaurant and sports bar next to a local fire station with steaks, burgers, sandwiches and more. The nightly special was New York Strip and we both went with the steak, baked potato and side salad. The food was cooked to perfection and service was friendly. If you want a fancy steakhouse, keep looking. If you want a good meal in a casual atmosphere, this is your place. We’re in town for five nights and McCoys will get a return visit.

We stopped in while checking out the bars and lounges around the stadiums and ended up coming back for breakfast and late night drinks on other days. Service is very friendly and prices were reasonable. It is not very big so go early on event days. Good atmosphere and lots to read and look at on the walls.

Not the Cleanest

We stopped for lunch on Sat Oct 28 before the Thriller Dance in Pioneer Square. Ordered Quesadilla, fried mozzarella, Patty melt and chicken strips. The bartender was also serving the tables. The food was good, but the Restaurant needed to be cleaner.

Overpriced, above average food and really poor service. Waited more than 1 hour to get our order on a really quiet afternoon.

Fish and Cheese

By IOM-Trev |

Popped into this place for a couple of drinks on a Sunday afternoon. Decided that food was needed. There was the normal bar food. I was intrigued by the fried fish sandwich which is served with American cheese. I had a side of house made coleslaw as well. The fish had a good crunch to it. I think cheese with more flavour would add to the sandwich. The slaw was a nice change from fries and wasn't soaked in mayo like a lot of commercial ones can be. There was only the barman on duty. He was working hard. Drinks and food were delivered promptly. There's plenty of bar options in the area but you can't go wrong here. There's also some firefighter memorabilia on the walls.

Worth a look

Stopped in for supper since it seemed to have mostly excellent reviews of late. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could be definitely not a 5. Had the chicken strips, fries, beer. The portion was ok - could have benefited from more chicken that wasn't over cooked. The fries really good. The side salad good as well. The price was good. Service was good. The place isn't all that appealing from the outside and the inside is ok as long as you weren't expecting anything special. Would probably go back but lots of others around the area to try first.

Great Find!

Looking for a place for lunch near King's Station stumbled on McCoy's. Funky. Fun, in your face service. Excellent local beer. Amazing food. Bacon burger may have been one of the best burgers I've ever had. Caesar salad was also great. Anchovies! Close to the stadium. If I were local I would be a regular

Food is not what you want to order here!!

By Janet C |

We stopped in here for breakfast on Saturday morning. Our party had: Corn-beef hash, Chicken Fried Stake, and another Chicken Fried Stake..... all came with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a biscuit.... the corn-beef hash was the best of all the orders.... the potatoes were not cooked, ant chicken fried stake was cremated, with barely any gravy to cover it. the biscuits were straight out of the frozen box full, and had a bit of butter, not enough. and tasted like cardboard..... but the clincher was, it took 45 mins to get the poorly made food........ maybe this is a great place for drinks... but the food sucks!! DO NOT GO THERE FOR BREAKFAST !!!!!!

Horrible

Went here after the game and also coming off a cruise, first time in Seattle. I work in the bar industry and never write bad reviews, but I had to for this one in case it saves someone from having the same experience. My boyfriend and I decided to Uber here to have a drink and some food and were lucky to even get a drink. We were greeted by the cook saying ā€œFu**ā€ when we walked in and waited 20 minutes for someone to even walk up to us. When the waitress finally came over, she told us we had one minute to order. This was at 7:30 PM. We proceeded to ask for wings and a grilled cheese and she told us it wasn’t possible. Seemed very ironic considering the circumstances. She never came back over to us after that. They told us to go elsewhere for food. My boyfriend had to go ask for the check from the bartender. I read a lot of similar reviews and I have no idea how this place even still gets business, let alone any remotely decent reviews. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any place but this one.

Avoid if possible

We stumbled across this place trying to find somewhere to eat before a concert which was right after a mariners game. Everywhere was packed, this place included. We got a seat on the patio which wasnt clean yet but we grabbed it. The server then came by and proceeded to dump the previous tables cups all over the cement patio???? Classy. There is a very limited game day menu, nothing remotely healthy. All quick pub grub. We got three orders of very basic chicken strips and fries, and three ciders. Total was 60 dollars USD - was maybe worth 40 tops. The service was terrible. We saw our server to order drinks and food, then never again. Had to ask other servers for our bill and water. We wanted to order more drinks but never got the chance. I mean if you have no other choice well it's food, but it was a terrible experience.

Avoid!

I had the unpleasant experience of dining here in the afternoon around 2pm. There was almost no one inside and yet the service was horrible. We were not asked for drinks until it was time to take our food order. We almost gave up and left several times because the waitress was so slow and I wish we had. I had a burger. It was tasteless and rubbery and the bun was overly soft that it started to fall apart around the rubber hamburger. The french fries were the plain crinkle cut kind, and I'm pretty sure there was no salt on them. I used the ketchup bottle, begrudgingly, because the bottom of the ketchup bottle was covered in dirt. Not very appetizing. There were many flies buzzing around the tables because the windows were all open. Getting the bill was even harder than putting in an order. It just never came, even after we asked and the waitress acknowledged that we wanted to leave. The couple next to us looked extremely unhappy and I almost told them to leave before they ordered. I shouldn't expect much at a dive bar, but a little cleanliness and some decent food would go a long way. Never ever again.

Good food, service and atmosphere

Friendly service and good food, and the building itself is quite interesting on the inside, especially the ceiling. It feels like a proper old-school building; like there's actually some sense of history there (which there is). I tried the peanut butter and bacon burger and it's as good as that sounds (i.e great). I also asked the waiter-barternder to recommend me some bourbon and the stuff he brought over was very good, well recommended. Food and drink came quickly. A good place to eat before taking the underground tour.

Really Good

Great place to grab a bite and drinks near the stadiums and train station

By Aly3573 |

Our family of four was looking for some place to grab lunch before heading out of town on the train. This was about a 5-10 minute walk from King Street Station. It can be hard to find something everyone is happy with, especially with picky kids. Our waitress was attentive and had a great sense of humor. My husband and I both had salads that were very large portioned. The kids chose the mix and match deli sandwich and the pulled pork grilled cheese and were both satisfied. This definitely seems like it would be a fun hangout place for games with all of its fire theme decor and friendly staff. We would stop here again if visiting the area!
