My wife had a late night cheese steak here our first night in Brooklyn. The food was good. They had a good selection of beer. The bartender was a very nice gentleman from Ireland who was interesting to talk to and gave us some good tips for other places to visit. One down side was that the weather was brutally hot and the bar was pretty hot and stuffy. It would be a good place to watch a game or to visit before or after a game.

This is a great place to hang out before or after heading to an event at the a barclays center. It has a great vibe, lots of screens to watch games on and a great selection of food and drink.. service was also very good..

Stopped here before a concert. Service was friendly. Food was hit or miss. Burger was good. Chicken fingers were fine. Fries were excellent. Irish egg rolls were pretty good. Roast beef dip sandwich was mediocre at best. When I’m in Brooklyn I expect good bread. This was not. It wasn’t crisp. It was supposed to be on toasted garlic bread. The garlic flavor was nonexistent. The roast beef itself was over cooked. The Shepherds pie was just ok. If I ever went back I’d stick with a beer and a burger.

Been going to McMahon’s for years before an event at the Barclays and always had a great meal. The fish n chips are fresh and tasty . My son enjoyed his hamburger and friend enjoyed his pastromi very lean on the fat. The beer is cold and plenty. The owner comes around to make sure everything is good Nice touch. The staff is friendly and courteous. I highly recommend coming here before going to the Barclays.

Decent pre game food, tables were plentiful and the service was good. Beer list was better than average but not much. Then again I was not looking for too much.

Stopped in here for a few beers on Saturday. Good selection of beers and good service. Would have liked more local beer selections but still had plenty to choose from. Good location near the Barclay Center

Great beer selection. Enthusiastic fans watching a Sunday evening NFL game. Several games on simultaneously, but most TVs set to the most popular game. Service staff very friendly.

My wife and I along with our son and daughter-in-law stopped here for an early lunch and it was excellent. Very authentic Irish pub with modern sports bar features. Beautiful wooden bar and decor and very good menu. Staff was polite and helpful and the service was prompt.

Stopped here for a beer. Place was fairly crowded. Looked like a good bar scene. Don't think I'd go back though.

Great pub, good atmosphere, good people. Love Brooklyn and would definitely come back to McMahon's. Best St. Patrick's day! We needed more people to sing along with us though!!

Excellent Irish place. Good food, great beer and a upbeat vibe. We went there before a hockey game and it was great.

Great place for a beer -- or three -- before or after a ballgame. A 7-iron away from the Barclays Center. Second story outdoor deck when the weather is decent. Can get very, very busy, but the staff is attentive and usually on their game. Decent prices.

Good service good selection of beer great vibe. Service great and all american food with an Irish twist keep it up well done.

Had pregame drinks here twice before moving on to find a different place with a bit more atmosphere.

Just a stone's throw from the Barclays Centre, this is a great sports' bar. When there is an event at Barclays it is busy, and there are sufficient staff to cope. The staff are friendly and efficient, even the locals are friendly and as a lone visitor I soon found myself invited into a conversation about various sports which then resulted in being included in the round of drinks. There are plenty of screens to watch whatever is on. Didn't try any food, but it looked and smelled very good.

Could not get service from the staff, told that ordering from the bar and tipping the bar staff did not entitle you to a table

We have been going here for a year or so. The service is always good. Beer selection is great! Food is always great too! The best part is that we can watch several games simultaneously on the many TVs. The staff will put whatever you want to watch on at least one flat screen, but usually, they have the daily games covered already. Nice people! Great location!

We are bummed that the A-10 basketball was canceled but we still had a good a time in Brooklyn. One positive was our meals at McMahons Public House The hotel was close to everything and a great place to eat. The staff was off the charts nice. They have a very nice culture. We plan on returning for the A10 next year and will definitely eat there

Visited with some friends for dinner and a drink. Was very crowded at about 430 pm on a Monday. We were able to get a seat. I ordered roast beef sandwich. It was pretty good.

This place is a short walk away from the Barclays Center. We went for lunch and it got the job done. The Rueben was delicious, the steak au jus sandwich was pretty plain (lot of meat, but nothing else). It's a good option during a busy Barclay center event, since it's just far enough away that it shouldn't be too crowded.

Great place that is very close to barclays and if you get there early enough good for a nice pub type dinner and drinks while surrounded by lots of isles fans.

My niece came back to Brooklyn for part of the summer. So I took her to McMahon's for lunch. We both loved it. Good service and I'll be back for sure. My niece said 'Auntie, you always find the best places!' 😉😆

Recently stopped here after visiting brooklyn for an ice hockey match in the Barclay Centre. There was 10 of us in total and stopped in for a few drinks. The locals were all very friendly granted it was St Patrick's weekend and we were all Irish 😂 but in general were all quite chatty and friendly the bar man Wez I think his name was was good craic and very friendly. The owner an Irish man himself over heard our conversations and stopped off for a chat and continued to send us a free round of jamesons for everyone which I can only say was the start of what was already a great night. The food looked fab and of I hadn't already eaten I definitely would have eaten there. Great spot to stop before or after a game in the Barclay Centre

Was passing on my way home and popped in for a few pints of the black stuff. I didn’t eat. Big area with long bar on ground floor and another area upstairs. Lots of tv sports on. A dozen or so sat at the bar, so pretty quiet, but it was late afternoon/early evening on a Tuesday. Shane the barman, from Mayo, was very friendly, chatty and informative, especially about golf - a shared passion. He kindly lent me his iPad to use until I eventually got on the internet with mine. A lovely guy and a good barman is Shane. He made the visit for me. I don’t know what the atmosphere is like when it’s busy but I had a nice relaxed time in McMahons. Oh, and the Guiness was good so I had four pints of it. Recommended.

Stopped in for some drinks and a bit of food before an event at the Barclay Center. Service was great, the Bartender was a nice guy from Ireland. Place was very and I was overall pleased with my experience.

Went for a drink before a concert at Barclay Center and we ended up having 5 or 6.Really friendly bar with great beers that were extremely well priced. We also ate there and this was fab as well.Would thoroughly recommend if you are in the area as staff as locals were good craic.

that's what they do : charging you without consent and when you ask why, they go with a "it's for all tourist" cheap food but 18% mandatory gratuity you have 2 choices ; let it go or argue with the team and have a bad day... YOU'RE THE WORST

This place is literally right across the road from the Barclays. It is big and has a great atmosphere. Huge selection of draft ale and there is a $6 happy hour, where I took advantage of the Sam Adams. Ate here twice, the chicken wings are absolutely delicious. Would definitely come here again when visiting the Barclays.

Sat at the bar , friendly efficient servers and they pour a proper Guinness in a proper glass!. Rueben sandwich was to die for - good portion , fresh and fabulous. Enjoyed my brief visit
