This was one option of several choices given by our hotel a few blocks away. If you are driving, it seems like Seattle has very strange parking rules. It was so good that we ate here twice; once before our cruise and again after returning from our cruise. In fact, we looked forward to it all day. It is important to note that they make beer here, too. While both of us are wine drinkers by default, their beer was excellent. The stout was a true Irish stout style and the blonde ales were perfect for someone seeking a lighter style. I had the Reuben sandwich both times with their dark stout beer. Sometimes I get lucky and find the perfect combo (for me) the first time around. It really was the best Reuben I have had in a very long time. I really don't remember when I had such a good Reuben sandwich. My other half wasn't as lucky as I to find her perfect combo during our first visit. But, boy did she find it on the second trip. She ordered the "large" Fish & Chips which came with one extra piece of fish. She paired it with one of their "blonde" ales which was a perfect choice. Good thing she ordered the large dinner, or I would never have been able to eat 1/2 of that final piece after she gave up eating. It really was good. Moist fish with a perfect batter coating. You should know that this Fish & Chips dinner review was after spending a week cruising through the Inside Passage. It really was that good. The McMenamin family appears to own several lodging and restaurant properties in the Northwest. If they put this restaurant's level of quality in everything they operate, I would seek out one of their properties for a getaway vacation.

Good service overall. The atmosphere is so fun and artsy! My daughter loved looking at all the different murals on the wall. The beer and food we're good, but we felt it was just your typical bar food. Nothing wrong with it but nothing exceptional either.

Loved the atmosphere. Sat at the bar where I could see the line up of the liquor. We were there on a Sat night - they were jam packed. Couldn't get food in under 30 mins so we had to order onion rings, hummus plate, and French fries. The fries and rings were greasy and the hummus tasted not home made. The staff kept dumping the dirty dishes behind the bar where we had to sit and look at them. Understand they were busy but these should have at least been taken to the kitchen.

I was staying just down the street and was happy to find a nice pub so close. Very popular place on a Friday night. Service was more efficient then friendly, but you know, Jen was the hardest working server I've seen lately, and kudos to her and the other staff. Food was good, I've been put on a vegetarian diet so could only watch sadly as the hamburgers drifted past, but those Cajun tots almost made up for it. Good craft beer. I would definitely return on my next trip.

This is the second time I've been here (soon to be more) and for the second straight time the service was impeccable. Also, I'm vegan and my friend was gluten free and we both ate like royalty. So good. And the tater tots! Love this place. Oh, and the beer!!!

Very conveniently located next door to hotel. Not startling from the outside but once inside the atmosphere was really good. Good range of food, well presented and nicely cooked and staff were really pleasant.

We stopped in for a late lunch - food was really good - lots of local brew choices. Especially enjoyed the blueberry cider.

friendly service, tried the sliders and some beers......patrons at the bar had been there a while and were obviously loud and kinda obnoxious......

It had very different decorations that were fun to look at. I don't actually recall what we ate there but not a bad experience.

Walked here from our hotel night before cruise. Amazing fish and chips! The small portion was perfect for light appetites.

Walking distance to Seattle Center. Great place to have both lunch and/or dinner. It is always plenty busy but I've never had a problem getting a seat. Lower Queen Anne location is easy walking distance to Seattle Center and Key Arena.

Seattle is a great food city, so this McMenamins has a tough challenge to stand up to the local food scene. However, it really does meet the challenge. I've had a lot of McMenamins burgers and Queen Anne does the best job of serving up their standard menu. If you're in Seattle for your Passport stamps, this is the location you want to get your burger at. Eat a great meal and see the Space Needle out the windows. The drinks were very well-prepared and the desert was delicious. My only criticism is that they didn't have their cool t-shirt in my size!

We are here twice the food was good the service excellent the price was good and the atmosphere was great.

Unassuming exterior don’t be fooled. Interior has eclectic decor, don’t forget to look up. Service is friendly. Food is outstanding. Had the beer sampler since there were too many to decide. All were very well done. Don’t miss this charm.

We enjoy most of the McMenamins Restaurants in the Northwest. This was very similar to the others with classic pub fare and the best ever tots! Good location - close to Key Arena - and open after concerts.

I feel like I always say AMAZING but this was an awesome experience. I am not a huge beer fan but my husband loves visiting breweries and this was hands down his best experience. The brewer, Brian, was there and he stopped what he was doing and gave my husband the run down on the breweries and their upcoming brewery in Bothell. Thank you Brian for your kind treatment and we will definitely be visiting the Bothell location...and any others that we come across.

Very friendly staff!! Yummy McMenamins food! Right across the street to the Maxwell Hotel. Open for lunch and dinner.

I really liked the feel of McMenamins and enjoyed the wide variety of drinks available. Meals were quick and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly.

Dined from the happy hour menu because we were so late to the table, so to speak (after 11 PM). The fries are amazing. The hot tea comes in a delightful pot.

Decorated with quirky paintings on all surfaces, the pretence of being an Irish Pub is soon exposed. But that doesn't change the fact that they serve great food, with excellent service at very fair prices. For beer lovers there is even a micro brewery on the premises. But mention "The fields of Athenry" and they look at you as though you are nuts. A drink named the "Black and Tans" in Ireland would cause a revolt, and there is no sense of Irish History. They might just as well call it "The Mickey Mouse Pub" But all this pseudo Irish nonsense doesn't conceal the fact that this business serves great food and respectable drink employing friendly competent staff. Probably my go to place in Seattle for lunch

We ate here as a large group and had to be seated at two separate tables. This is primarily a bar, with small seating around the centrally located bar. I was pleased they had a few vegetarian options. The food was primarily bar food, but it tasted good. The atmosphere was alright. Also, the service was pretty good. Overall, not a bad place to grab a bite, but not really for large groups.

This is a pub with excellent bar food. The atmosphere is relax and seat yourself. we would come again!

I popped in for a late lunch and was served by Marcus. He was great! It’s so nice to eat somewhere where the employees have personalities and make their jobs fun. The tater tots were delicious!

Had good fish and chips and really great hard apple cider. Good service and interesting building. Recommended by staff at The Maxwell Hotel. Always ask the locals!

We walked in with a wedding group of 14 and they never missed a beat. We stayed next door so came over for several meals and beers over five day stay.. Excellent

This pub vibe with Irish roots and funky art was a great lunch spot for us! The gluten free food was awesome and they have a separate fryer dedicated for GF. The service was great, and man did the cook hustle (you can see the kitchen action). Our food was really good! Also, it is close to Climate Pledge arena. I would recommend to anyone but especially to those who need GF!

Mason is a fantastic fun server! I would recommend this restaurant! Our visit to Seattle from PA -after an Alaska Cruise was enhanced by our experience here and with Mason as our server!

This place had excellent beer, service as well as food. They actually brew the beer here. I had the turkey sandwich and my wife had the fish sandwich. Both were very good & filling. Worth a visit. Cheers

Having previously enjoyed this restaurant on a prior visit to Seattle we decided it would be a good stop for a burger since our hotel is next door. Wrong. My daughter ordered cheeseburger without onions or sauce, she got onions. Fish and chips were well done, chips to the point of being dry and hard, worst fries I've had in forever. Waitress stopped for a split second to check on us, didn't wait for an actual response. Water glasses went empty until she brought the check, and then she poured about 1 1/2" water into each glass. Also, the place was pretty dirty, food on the wall, scribbled crayon and crumbs on the ledge by the table, etc.

We had dinner and a beer taster at this wonderfully eclectic corner restaurant and pub. Had the very best service, very fast and amazing quality and quantity. Will definitely plan to return

When you have Grandma, Grandpa, my lovely wife, myself and a picky 12 year old vegetarian we are probably the last group you would want to see walk into your restaurant. Not that we're gonna get loud and drunk and tear up the place, at least not the adults; but everyone has their own ideas about what they're going to eat and for some reason it's never what's on the menu. The waiter was great helping everybody find a good option, even getting Grandma and Grandpa to combine a couple of options to make something they would both like. Let be clear that I could and would eat everything on the menu but I'm only one man, the menu is a good mix of foods. The service was excellent as was the food. The kitchen had already moved everything around on the plates so there was no clash of cutlery as people tried to share. A good beer selection (it is Seattle) with helpful suggestions based on the foods and likes/dislikes of different beer types. All in all a wonderful dining experience in a laid back atmosphere.

I felt silly eating at a chain restaurant in Seattle since they are known for their good food, but I was so glad we ate there!! The people were all super awesome and attentive and even put up with us bringing our strollers in there. The Cajun tots were amazing and everyone loved everything they got: fish & chips, burger, and grilled cheese. If you're in the area, I'd recommend you give it a try!! I would definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We wanted something for a group of 6 that was walking distance from the Maxwell Hotel and didn't take forever. The food was great, fast, and very tasty! Exactly what we were looking for! Highly recommend!!!!

Went to this place as it was really close to our hotel. Had the smoked Mac and cheese and spin salad. Both were really good. They do some local brewed ales of which I can recommend the hammerhead. Nice atmosphere to this place also, enjoyable time.

This place was recommended by our hotel. A good referral! The cheese burger was juicy. The sweet potato fries crisp. The dry cider was just right. The service was good. I got to try the Phil hazelnut liquor. Wonderful flavour that warmed the soul. We will be back.

Low key bar with great food. A nice spot for after play conversation or after attending an event at Seattle Center. Excellent burgers, crispy sweet potato fries, great selection of beers, and good service. Just a homey place to sit and eat and contemplate the playwright's intentions or the concert drummer's lack of rhythm. Good selection of snacks, and Oliver did a great job of making us feel at home.

We can't decide what was worse... the service or the food. Our burgers were dry and tasteless, lukewarm at best. The side salad next to the burger obviously absorbed the heat and tasted limp and wilted. But the service... please, someone tell the wait staff at this restaurant that 'customer' is the operative word in customer service. Nary a smile, let alone eye contact from our waiter. We had a question about the menu and he all but rolled his eyes in impatience. Borderline rude, to say the least. Even if the food had been stellar, we would questions coming again with such a surly staff,

Great beer and terrific cider. But food is quite expensive so be careful. They do have a happy hour, however it is not going on when there are big events at Seattle center -- like a concert at the key arena.

Limited menu for dinner but everything on the menu looked great. I had a sandwich which was huge and tasty. A great beer selection and eclectic staff. Would visit again.

The food was good, but not anything that popped. Service was average. It was a handy 1-block walk from the Maxwell Hotel, and seating was available w/out reservation.

First visit for a while. Burger and sandwich were stodgy. Soup watery. Fries were cold, hard, obviously nowhere near fresh. I've had much better pub food elsewhere. Won't go again.

After a super long day of flying across the country with a tight plane change, we arrived in Seattle famished . The front desk at our hotel, the Maxwell, recommended McMenamins which was only a block away. That sounded great because we really needed a cold drink and food. We got both! It was happy hour so we ordered pints of ale and cider which were their brews. We shared a huge order of fries and two different sliders. Gin had a hearty bowl of soup as well. Everything was great including the service. We were very glad for the rescue meal and highly recommend this place.

Street Parking is available. Stopped in for our passport stamp. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Friendly staff helped with our stamps and advice on getting to the other Seattle location. We will be back here for pre concert beers and food as it is a easy walk to the Key Arena.

came back twice, it was so much fun (and a two minutes walk from where we stayed). Great menu, friendly service, fair prices. We had a good soup, great hamburgers, wonderful deserts and very comfortable sitting.

We liked McMenamins in Eugene and were not disapointed in Seattle. The cusine was excellent with friendly attentative service.

We grabbed a quick bite on our way to The Seattle Repertory Theater. The place was pretty full for a Wednesday evening but we made our way to a table for two. We split a Fish and Chips with tots. The server brought it on two plates. Nice touch.

Located close to the space needle. This was our first visit to a McMenimins and we really enjoyed the traditional atmosphere. Good food and beer. Staff were friendly and gave helpful recommendations.

We walked back from Pike Place Market and just randomly choose this restaurant. The beer we had was very good and the food was above average. We were seated promptly and the service was good. For the amount of food and drinks we had it seemed a bit pricey but overall it's a place I would go back to if in the neighborhood.

This is a great relaxed atmosphere pub near the Space Needle. The food and beer was really good and the pub was comfortable and inviting.

Stopped in for our tripster stamp and some lunch. Tried the ranch fries and some burgers. Service was efficient and friendly.

We ate here twice and loved the experience. Local wines, ciders and spirits along with terrific tapas. They brew their own beers and have a distillery to boot. The family also owns other resorts in the Pacific Northwest. A warm, comfortable place near the Staypineapple Hotel, which I’ll laud separately. The Queen Ann district is fun and quiet.

Was pleasantly surprised that there was craft beer and ciders.. And they tasted amazing! The teenagers tried the hot apple cider and didn't take long to gulp it down! The pretzels with fondue was very good, Cajun tots amazing and the Mac n' Cheese... OMG! Highly recommend stopping in!

Great lunch but even better dinner. Place was very crowded at dinner but we were seated very quickly. Service was good and food was hot and tasty.

Fun environment - excellent restaurant - very near Hampton inn - reasonable prices. Good fries and large cokes.

We came in here after a strenuous walk up to Kerry Park, and looking for a fun happy hour place. We were not disappointed. Reita was very serviceable and quick with our order. I tried the Hummus dip and really liked it. My husband had the Thai french fries, which he said were a bit spicy, but very tasty. My son had the Smokestack Lightening, and loved it. I had the White Rabbit wine and hubby the PT Gold beer, and we both enjoyed the drinks. Most of the items were discounts due to happy hour. The place was very eclectic with a mysterious, but fun, ambiance. We came at an off-hour (3:30pm) but looked like they we're gearing up for a crowded dinner service. We would try this place again.

Good food, decided we needed to eat after 23 hours travelling and walking past we saw what looked like a lot of people enjoying themselves. Went in and found great draft beer and good food

We stumbled into this place on the recommendation of the front desk person at the Maxwell Pineapple hotel. We were given great advice. My wife and I had some of the best burgers we ever ate. The fries were great, too. Great selection of beers, some brewed on site. Staff were super friendly and went out of their way to point out things a visitor to Seattle might be interested in doing.

Went there for lunch based on the hotel's recommendation. It was a small place with great food and they brew their own beer there. Service was a little slow as there was only one server working but the food came out quickly. If you like craft beers and pub food this is the place for you.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch and were soundly rewarded with good food, a nice selection of beer and top notch service. All that even though the place appeared to be short staffed. We had one of their signature brews "Ruby." Terrific! That was paired with a Hammerhead Veggie Burger for myself and my girlfriend went for the Uptown Veggie Grilled sandwich. Both sandwiches were served at the appropriate temperature, were tasty and were accompanied by our favorite, sweet potatoe fries. We recommend both sandwich choices. The place is comfortable and decorated in typical McMenamins style - funky. If there is a downer anywhere it could be the lack of outside seating. Back on the positive side though, it's just a block or so from Seattle Center so if you're heading for an outing there this is great place to stop before journeying on to the Space Needle and related tourist offerings. All-in-all, good food and beer at a reasonable price and good service. Give it a try.

Highly recommend!!! Close to Staypineapple hotel. Lots to choose from on menu. We had a burger and fries.

Our home away from home. This locale is our go to when in Seattle. The seasonal blackberry cider is like no other!! Believe me I’ve tried many! The food is always amazing and the staff is as well! Try the Cuban blk bean soup, it won’t disappoint.

For beer drinkers--a wonderful place. Food and service are both fairly good. This restaurant is the opposite of up-scale, as it is a very traditional pub

We were looking for a short walk and a big beer selection. This was near our hotel. The waiter was very helpful in our selection of local beer (including for the person who only likes Bud light!). The food was yummy, and ran the gamut from burgers to curry bowls. Reasonably priced, tater tots!, good service and good food.

Loved the truffle fries so much we went back for Happy Hour and shared the Cider cheese fondue fries with the Rueben Kincaid sandwich. Excellent service.

I know of McMenamins due to a friend in Oregon so we visited here knowing we just wanted a nice pub environment to grab some pub grub as well. Personally I LOVE McMenamins as a chain. I like all the decor and the atmosphere in their pubs. The food is also VERY good for easy and reasonably priced food (and compared to pubs at home, it's like eating michelin starred food...) and of course a great selection of locally sourced drinks. Of this particular venue, I like the booths around the edge of the pub and these made for a nice cosy visit. All staff that served us were friendly. Food that was served was tasty and hot. Would visit again.

We went here before a concert at the Key Arena. We had heard that they have a great happy hour, unfortunately, on the night of a concert they don't have a happy hour on food. Anyways, the service was good, the food was great pub food and the beers were very good. We enjoyed our dinner and drinks. The burgers were hand made and grilled to order. The meat was of good quality and the buns held together.

We went to this place as it was only a couple blocks from our hotel. I agree with most of the reviews - the beer selection was good, the food was delicious, and the folks there were pleasant. The bartender was exceptionally nice, and helpful. If you stop in, be sure to also look around, as well as up, to appreciate the unique decor. We were very happy we chose this family-friendly Pub to eat at.

Good reliable food and drinks. Something for everyone. Especially enjoyed staff (some of whom we found out had been brought in from out of town to cover staffing shortages). Will definetly eat there in the future and appreciate that they asked to see our vaccination verification.

This is very convenient to the Maxwell Hotel where we stayed. It was our first meal in Seattle for lunch. We enjoyed the food and beverages. A great menu, you will enjoy!

Bartender provided us great sight seeing advice. Good food and drinks. We returned nearly every night for drinks and more information. Recommended. Will be returning.

If you've been to a McMenamin's, this is like all the others in Portland, Tigard, Salem, or wherever. Good food, good beer, cheerful folks. It won't change your life, but for a multi-outlet place, it's good and reliably so. Food in Seattle is expensive, and this place is no different. If you are coming from out of town, be prepared. It's not the restaurant; it's the city.

We were staying at the Maxwell Hotel, and this pub was on the opposite corner. After a busy day sight seeing, we were gagging for a cold drink and something to eat. This place was fantastic. And we ended up going twice in 2 days. A great choice of home brewed beer (and cider for me), and a very tasty menu too. I personally, would highly recommend the fish sandwich, and my hubby would recommend the fish and chips.

Stopped in at McMenamins for dinner after the Nutcracker with my kids. Fun menu and cozy interior. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend if you are in Lower Queen Anne!

What the heck happened? Pretty lame wings, fries were edible. Lucky the beer was ice cold and tasty as that is the ONLY thing going for this place. No thanks, the hype isn’t real

This place was close to where we were staying so we popped in for a quick bite and a beer. The service was fast & friendly but we were disappointed with the food. There’s several other places in the neighbourhood which we’ll check out next time instead.

I have been to alot of places in the world and eaten in alot of restaurants. I think I have a good handle on a decent bite of food. This place is just average at best. It was mobbed on a recent Thursday night. Mostly beer, drinks and sandwiches and bar food served. I had the turkey BLT (as recommended by the server) and a side salad. It was something that could have been served in a school cafeteria. Really. Mushy soft roll, two thin slices of turkey. What's up with that? Are people just there to drink? I will pass on this place.

Walked in last minute and had a lovely lunch at the bar. They were very busy and told us up front how long the food would be. My salmon chowder was excellent and growing up in New England, i am a tough chowder customer. Sandwiches were good as well as well as the hummus and pita plate. All good. Recommend this place highly!

McMenamins is a family-friendly pub, and their Queen Anne staff very friendly and accommodating when our two-family, 9-person group dropped in without a reservation. Kids and adults very satisfied with food and service; good beer. Two blocks from the Hampton Inn on 5th.

Full menu, good beer selection including local favorites. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Neighborhood location, but only one block from Seattle Center. Friendly.

After spending the day at the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and Chihuly Glass Gardens, we decided to end it with a passport stamp at this McMenamins location. The service was okay, but sometimes lacking. The food was good and we liked that we made it in time to order off the happy hour menu. Was worth the trip but probably wouldn't choose to come back to this location if it weren't for needing to get a passport stamp.

Had lunch at this pub during our visit to Seattle. Good food and variety with a compliment of nice in house beers. Also includes a flexible menu for picky eaters and kids.

A block from the north edge of the Seattle Center and kitty corner from the center's parking garage, this establishment is well positioned for making a day of it. It's somewhat dark inside, but cozy. The booths are comfortable, large enough, and private enough. Table service was fairly good, though the true test would be when the place is truly hopping, not to say that one shouldn't expect service to always be fairly good or better, i.e., a slow period shouldn't equate with slow service. As in a previous visit here, the food is sufficient, not over- or under-whelming, and tasted good. All of the above: location, atmosphere, privacy, service, food were reason enough for me to return.

Food was good, server was okay. Took awhile to get two root beers. Loved the vibe. I had the Dilly tuna salad sandwich, and my companion had what was basically chicken strips and tots. No complaints about the food taste however, the prices are pretty ridiculous. $26 for the chicken strips and tots alone is just way overpriced.. we were traveling through town not a local but obviously we will pick someplace else if we come to Seattle again. Our total before tip was $60. We don’t pay that much for dinner where I’m from so obviously this is a big sticker shock.

We were just walking around the City Center looking for a place to eat and have a couple of brews. Couldn't have come along a better place than McMenamins! Looked like a eclectic English manor inside. Part of Brewery from Oregon they had a wide variety of brews & ciders to choose from. I order the wheat beers, my wife had a cider, and our son ordered a flight ranging from IPA to Porters. Not a bad one in the bunch! The food was above average pub fare. Tasty burgers & chicken with great fries. Don't know when I'll get back to Seattle, but my son lives in WA and visits regularly and he'll be back and is planning to go to Oregon to visit the Brewery! Near Seattle City Center definitely stop by for a Pint!

We had a delicious meal at this location prior to attending The Nutcracker. This is a casual and comfortable restaurant similar to several other McMenamins. The hamburger was tasty but our favorite dish was the seasonal salad...so much so that I have replicated it at home several times! We will return as the service was friendly and food delicious.

It’s a friendly pleasant corner pub in the Queen Ann district next to Staypineapple Hotel. Food was excellent, service very good and drinks exceptional—including their own brewed beer and distilled liquor. If we lived there we’d be regulars. The hotel was also “brilliant”, a great find and locally owned.

All ages allowed. Nice cozy pub with great selection of brews. Stick with the burgers....very good. And away from the crispy chicken (tough). The tater tots are "to die for." Enjoyed the ambiance and friendly waiter. Would visit again!

"Extremely crowded" is both good and bad. The food was good, the service was above-average, but the place was so crowded there was no way to move about, sit down or lean on the bar while waiting for a table to clear. We were too tired to wander around looking for another place to eat, so we endured the wait ... uncomfortably.

A great selection of beers favors and styles, friendly staff, great blue cheese burger and wonderful beer cheese soup

How often does a restaurant tease both your sight and your tastebuds? I've been in a number of McMenamin's in the PNW and always find the food to be great and the decor delightfully quirky (read funky). My hungry crew and I started with Scooby Snacks (mini-corndog bites), cajun spiced fries and pretzels while we were waiting for our lunches. The appetizers were served quickly, piping hot and oh so delicious! I had the Queen Anne on brioche (vegetarian sandwich) and I would probably give that a pass on my next visit. However, a few of our group had the ahi sandwich (Automatic Ahi?) and it was wonderful. Our server was great - knowledgeable, quick and attentive. Seattle is overflowing with great food but this is a go to the next time I'm down at the Seattle Center.

A very popular bar on Queen Anne so expect lots of noise, but the food is good. The service was friendly.

Have been to many McMenamins on our travel through Oregon and Washington. The Queen Anne restaurant has the same quality and service we have come to expect from McMenamins.

Ate here with a coworker for lunch. Food was good and service was great. Lunch was very expensive. 2 sandwiches, 2 sodas and 1 desert was over $60 not including tip. Ouch

McMenamins Queen Anne is a cozy spot in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood, perfect for a relaxed meal before or after an event at McCaw Hall. The pub offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with a mix of classic American and brewpub-style dishes. Recently, my spouse and I split the Magnum Opus (a sandwich made of grilled turkey, bacon jam, Swiss cheese, grilled onions & secret sauce on a toasted roll with lettuce & tomato) which was very good, and our friend had the Dilly Tuna Slider Trio appetizer which she said was very good and I will try it next time. The menu features a variety of options, from fish & chips, sandwiches, hearty burgers to flavorful salads (I’ve enjoyed the Aztec Salad & Blue Bayou Salad). If you’re in the mood for a drink, they have a solid selection of craft beers brewed by McMenamins. Service is generally friendly, though it can get busy, especially before/after events at nearby venues. Overall, it’s a great place to grab a casual meal and a drink if you’re looking for something quick yet satisfying, McMenamins Queen Anne is a solid choice.

To be honest we probably didn't really like the look of this place from the outside, but it came highly recommended so we gave it a go. We are glad that we did - the staff were friendly, food was very good and service quick. With two vegetarians in our group sometimes finding good options for all can be a challenge but this place had a good selection of vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes.

Total disregard for the seating queue. Is usually full and they'll put their friends before you. Go somewhere else if you don't have hours available to wait

We where in Seattle for a few days before our cruise, stay at the Stay Pineapple Maxwell , next door was this in assuming Irish Bar. We popped in for some food mid-afternoon food ! Fish’n Chips with wild caught Alaskan Cod - was so so good salt, malt vinegar excellent ( English style ) fries - too Good . This pub is a micro- brewery! I returned , family free the next afternoon- beer was fantastic, staff amazing, beer was fantastic! I cannot recommend a better place if you like good service and good beer ….. did I mention the beer is fantastic!! Tried all of them by way of 6 flight at a time …… One my Seattle highlights for sure ……

My dining experience at McMenamins Queen Anne was great, much better than the Oregon City location. I had the Queen Anne sandwich and it was very good. They were heavy with the onions but that was not a big deal. The bread was nice and crunchy and the cheese was superb. The tater tots were really good. My 4 year old was obsessed with them. The Cajun fries and ranch were amazing! My only complaint was the diet soda. It was a little warm and a little flat but again, not a big deal.

My family was looking for a place to have an evening snack and rest from a busy day. The food and service were good (and friendly).

This place has a full bar and a good beer selection. The menu was good and portions were generous. The tuna sandwich and the turkey sandwiches were great.

Stayed at hotel across the street and having stayed at McMenamins. Have gone to other McMenamin's in the Northwest, it was typical, but a nice overall experience. I recommend the beer sampler, Fish and chips we spot on!

I liked this place - we stopped by for dinner before a game at Key Arena, it's a short walk. We could hardly get in the door it was so busy, but they had a good system for their wait list and we were seated in less than 5 minutes. I had the chicken sandwich which was a really moist whole breast with hot sauce and nice bun ($13) and my friend had a half serve of the turkey sandwich ($7.50). Liked that you could order half serves and also liked the fries that came with the meal. We each had a glass of white wine and the total bill was $40 before tip. For the good food, this area and the high demand (both the basketball game and the Nutcracker were on nearby) I thought it was really reasonable.

My wife and I were foot weary having walked throughout the area near the Space Needle. We were happy to find a local establishment with a comfortable atmosphere and a good menu. Service was prompt and we were able to ask for deviations from the menu items. We were satisfied with what we ordered and glad to just relax. This is a real neighborhood place to escape to. Most of the patrons seemed to be locals. That's always a good indication when you are tourists.

Stopped here for lunch and received a very disappointing meal. Not only was the lettuce in my sandwich brown, and salad old the meal was very expensive. Service was fine but I expected quality food which it was not.

Went here as a solo traveller, recommended by the hotel down the street, and was pleasantly surprised. Great food, great service, great people watching.

We went to McMenamins because we know what to expect at their restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu seemed much smaller than other locations and the kids menu had limited choices.

We like this restaurant and the food is good and have gone there frequently. However, in the last year, the prices on both food and drink are going up every couple of weeks. It is ridiculously expensive for a pub. They need to reconsider their prices to keep customers.

we stayed at the nearby hotel and I went in 3 nights for 2 times in the room , the first solo because after putting down my suitcases and a shower in the early afternoon for a few good mugs of beer at the counter. I must say that I was greeted beautifully by the girl who served, even if we could not communicate much, moreover not being able to understand my "fake English", especially after the long journey and the first outing, about my tastes on beers made me taste a couple of flavors until I found the one that satisfied me best. huge, as in an American pub, the choice of beers and the counter, various types of cuisine ranging from salads, sandwiches, etc... open kitchen so much so that I was struck by the ease with which the boy prepared the various dishes. 2 beers at the counter and a plate of mixed salad with fried chicken with added sauce to choose from, I chose the "favorite" one from the girl who served me great match. local in the early afternoon quite full. excellent beers and the dish brought to the hotel. returned in 2 late in the evening around 11 hoping to eat and, although the room was completely empty we were welcomed again with maximum availability both in choosing seats and in choosing the menu. this time I tasted the burger and I must say it was the best sandwich eaten in the States, congratulations great meat as bread and vegetables crispy and tasty. good local good

We stayed at the next to here and arrived in the evening after an international flight and we're starving! We found exactly what we needed, a veggie/normal burger - great portions! I had a draft root beer (great) and my partner a six flight of local/regional beers for any $10. Overall we had great service and food, while also feeling welcomed to be there by the staff.

Good food, excellent service and close to the theater, opera & Seattle Center. Good selection of beer and a great place to have a bite before the theater.

McMenamins didn't just have great service - it also had a fresh and varied menu that everyone in my family was able to enjoy (which is sometimes tricky with so many fussy eaters). The Tuna Sandwich was a particular highlight! The atmosphere was warm and cosy - and it felt like you could stay there for hours. We had a wonderful time!

Stopped here for a happy hour after hiking. We had several appetizers and some drinks. Everything was very good.

McMenamins was recommended by our hotel as a good place to eat. Lunch was very good. Both my husband and I ordered their special, a Reuben Kincaid which came with tator tots. McMenamins served one of the better reubens I have ever had. I especially liked their baked daily rye bread. Service was good as well

We went here for happy hour while visiting and were not disappointed! It was walking distance from our hotel and recommended by our uber driver. He told us how each location has beers authentic to that location and there is no cross-contamination between their kegs. A few of us got beer flights, one got a wine flight and the other a whiskey flight. This place had great selection, service, and price! Definitely worth a stop for happy hour! We also had good service. I told the waiter what sort of beers I liked and he came back with a flight of 6 beers that I pretty much enjoyed something about each one.

Nice pub in Seattle. Decor ok. Service friendly and efficient, Good selection of beers and other drinks. Food available. Prices are at the upper end for this type of establishment. Lots of seating.

We had an excellent lunch here. The wings, mini corn dogs and tots were all delicious. Not to mention the outstanding beers. Love this place.

We were spending the night in Seattle before boarding a cruise and looking for someplace not too fancy for beer and a meal. We were lucky to find McMenamins early enough that we were seated right away. The craft beers were yummy and everyone was very happy with their fish and chips! The decor is really fun and funky - lots to look at! And the service was also good fun - all in all, a satisfying stop!

This restaurant was recommended by our Hotel so we tried it....great service and food! Very busy place...but worth it! Thank you. See you again!

We had just arrived in Seattle and staying in a nearby hotel and decided to walk the neighborhod to find a place to eat. We arrived around 2:00 p.m. Our group of 6 was definitely satisfied. We tried the local beers and ordered the wings, 19th hole sandwich (huge), uptown veggie grill, cheeseburger, soup and turkey sandwich, jamaican rice bowl and fish and chips. Portions are quite large so you will feel satisfied. Service was friendly. Please note if you are looking to eat on a budget the prices are high so I would recommend sharing a plate.

Good beer with typical pub food. I had the steak salad that was better than I though it would be. Our waitress/bartender last Monday night was very friendly while she was the only server/pourer on the floor.

McMenamins is often a restaurant I include in my travels to the Seattle area. A casual and cool atmosphere serve as the backdrop for this establishment with a fantastic food and beer offering. While I almost always order a burger, I mixed it up one evening and tried the salmon served on a wooden plank: FANTASTIC! Also, it's hard to escape without trying their tater-tots and hummus appetizer! I would strongly recommend a stop at this pub for a casual, enjoyable evening of food and drink!

Friendly service. Good communication breakdown burger. Good coffee. If your looking for a place to sit down with a group for a good meal this is a good place. Give the ranch fries a Terry they are a nice change from regular fries. Clean bathrooms.

Me and a friend ate here last Sunday after attending the nearby Pride festivities. We knew that it would be busy (and it was), we didn't mind the wait. We waited by the bar and watched the bartender Brandon make drinks. He was super busy, but stayed relaxed and calm. We the was a lull he even took a drink order for us. We were eventually seated. We never saw our server, after 10 minutes i took it upon myself to get us menus. After 5 more minutes still no server. We saw three of them working the tables around us, but none stopped to take our order. I went up and mentioned this to Brandon the bartender who said HE would be over to take our orders (which he did). When we got our food the person who brought it NEVER apologized for not helping us sooner. I know it was Pride day, but still a simple sorry would've have hurt. The food was good. I am giving this review a 5 simply because of how Brandon helped us out attend went above and beyond.

We were in Seattle for the day on our way back to SeaTac and decided to go check out the Chihully Art near here. It was the closest beer pub around and we decided to try it even though some reviewers had given it poor reviews. Should have paid attention. I'm giving them 2 stars only because the beer was decent, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. First of all, the floor was dirty, old french fries and a napkin under the booth. We ordered fish and chips and a tuna salad sandwich. The fish and chips were the worst I'd ever had, over cooked, almost burned. Frozen Gordons would have been better. The tuna sandwich had way too much dill mixed in it and the bread was stale. Won't be back and you should pay attention to fellow reviewers posts, next time I will

Good food, nice service, across the street from the hotel. A better menu than what I've experienced in the Portland, OR area.

Visited after a day touring around Seattle, and met up with an old friend over dinner. It was within walking distance of our hotel, and looked fairly busy - always a good sign. I had a fantastic bacon cheese burger with fries. Everyone found something they liked, and our plates were clean at the end of the meal. My favorite part of the meal was the winery taster tray. It had reds, whites, and a seasonal hard cherry cider that was so delicious that I had to get a pint. Would definitely recommend.

Wanted something different so I ordered the mack n cheese dish with spicy tater tots and a crooked crown porter. The noodles are waaaay over cooked and the tader tots is nothing special. Just regular tader tots that's mixed around in some dry cajun seasoning for 6 bucks. This whole bundle of joy I ordered is ruffly 25 bucks before taxes n tip, I would suspect better quality really

But that's about it. The service is a bit lacking on the friendly past what would be considered obligatory. I will say that the tater tots are amazing though.

right across street from the Maxwell Hotel ( which is great) - reasonably priced very good food cooked in an open kitchen- good selection of craft beers - friendly staff-lots of locals

Quaint little pub with dark wood and a set up like you were in a real authentic Irish Pub. Good food , lot's of beer to choose from. Very good service as well. I was there were the Folk festival was happening some of the Irish singers it was a lot of fun. were there having lunch and singing to the customers

Been there a couple of times the last year or so and it was pretty good. A nice sit down for the family. Now it is a run down pub with a limited menu and surly service, not to mention the most uncomfortable booth known to man. Do not recommend! Lots of other restaurants in the area.

We ate here three times during our stay in Seattle. The servers are all very friendly and they have a great happy hour special from 3-6pm daily. The prices are very reasonable. Try the Cajun tots!

We planned to park and walk to McMenamins for lunch before the ballet and it was just right. The atmosphere is fun and the service was attentive. My spouse and I shared the Twin Rocks Tuna Melt Sandwich with fries, which was very good and the kitchen even plated it for each of us. Our friend ordered the Tuna Sliders for a second time, which she had one and took the other two home. Only down side was my spouse ordered a Soda Pop, which wasn’t very large and never refilled for $5.00! For that price, he won’t order a soda again. Otherwise, it was a lovely afternoon with lunch and theater. We'll be back before the next event at McCaw Hall.

Amazing service - we were exhausted after the Rock N Roll half marathon but we wanted to stamp our passports. Waitress suggested rice bowl - DELICIOUS. Cider wonderful as always.

Service was worse than I have had anywhere. Was just getting ready to leave when the server finally came over. He then complained about the shift change. Still took forever to get our meal. The food was just okay. Nothing great. This was thee first McMenamins I have eaten at. I had heard great things. Don't know if I would try another one.

We stumbled upon McMenamins as it was just a block from our hotel. On both of our visits we ordered salads which were fantastic! The atmosphere is a little quirky and very comfortable and the staff are friendly. The marionberry cobbler was TO DIE FOR!!

My favorite is the Ruby Ale, or the seasonal hard cider (love the blackberry or the cranberry when they are in season). The burgers are delicious, with several topping choices . . . try the swiss/mushroom! They have a pretty good fish and chips dinner. And their soups are yummy too. We eat here about once a month, and always look forward to it. I

We arrived on a Thursday, six of us without reservations. Found a lovely table. The appetizer choices were simple but good, burgers, fries, sandwiches, salads, and nice hummus tray. House red wine was tasty and full-bodied. Service was timely and courteous. Prices reasonable.

Mason, our waiter, was great! He was very patient with our party of 7. He let us sample several different types of beers. They have a great happy hour which we enjoyed, I would definitely recommend it.

Funky atmosphere and good food - salads were a little bit expensive but very fresh and tasty. My husband had a huge 1/2 sandwich with homemade soup that he thought was excellent. The restaurant offers a large variety of beer and has a fun decor - service was good.

Nice pub with friendly staff. Surprisingly (for a pub) I was very happy with my vegetarian options... I had pumpkin mole with tofu and I enjoyed it a lot more than my boyfriend liked his steak... he's picky about his steak and it just didn't meet his standards.

We visited this restaurant on two occasions. The fish and chips, at our first visit, were very ordinary; fries were lukewarm at best, many burnt pieces; and a small serving - suggested this was all they had left at 9pm. On the second visit, my wife was served the wrong drink - the bar staff insisted it was the drink she ordered - after about 30 minutes, the manager came to our table to apologize and admit to the error. The drink was replaced - we are talking about a cider, for goodness sake! We were still charged...

Went for supper and ordered the clam chowder and smoked meat sandwich. The clams in the chowder were full of sand - must not have been rinsed properly. There was a long black hair in the smoked meat sandwich. Neither of us have long, black hair.

We had an early dinner here before attending a concert at McCaw Hall. It is a combination pub/restaurant. Our food was delicious! Pleasant atmosphere!

My wife and I brought our 8-year-old boy with us for dinner. He was very welcome; they even have a kids menu! The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, especially for a Friday night. The food was good (try the truffle fries and roasted garlic aioli!). We both had burgers that were really tasty. I only had time for two beers - the cream ale (which was decent) and the Black Soul Stout (which had a deliciously unique pronounced toasted barley tone). I can't wait to go again and try the flight, so I can experience more of their selection!

My brother really enjoyed the local root beer and I had the local hard apple cider, both very good. Slightly crowded, but not too loud or noisy.

We ate here several times while we were in Seattle as it was really handy to our hotel. The service was quick and friendly. The food was good with good portion size. There were lots of beer choices and they were very good.

We got there at an extremely busy time. Waits were about 30-40 minutes, but since we have their "passport", we like to try to visit all the local McMenamins, This one feels rather cramped, particularly for the business that evening. However, the staff was friendly and funny, and we had a great time. The bartender was running her butt off, but still found time to make us drinks, while we were waiting for our table. She had good humor, even though you could tell this was busier than usual. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. Even with the busyness, our food came out at a decent time and was well cooked. My wife and I both enjoy pub food, and McMenamins is very consistent.

This pub was just along the road from our hotel, The Maxwell, so was perfect for a quick meal after a long day travelling. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the food was great. Very good beer menu. Thoroughly recommend

Very good lunch on our last day in Seattle. The honey beer was really yummy and not bitter. All our dishes were delicious. Loved the Cajun spice on the tater tots. A little on the pricey side. Two lunches, four drinks and an appetizer was $70 with a tip. I would eat there again and recommend this restaurant.

A friend and I had dinner at McMenamins before the Seattle Opera recently. We didn't have reservations and, even though the place was quite full, we didn't have to wait long for a booth. I ordered fish and chips. Three fairly small pieces of beer battered fish and chips, a generous amount of fries, and a small bowl of coleslaw cost $17. Tasty, but I've had better fish many other places. I'd still recommend the place, especially prior to an event at the Opera House as it's very close and handy to the parking garage between Roy and Mercer.

Had some drinks and late night eats here. Great atmosphere! Authentic Irish pub with friendly staff. Enjoyed our visit!

Great atmosphere with great service and good food for the money.great selection of in house beers .good location.

We have been to several McMenamins and we always get quality food in a great environment, the service was fast and fiendly

This a very standard McMenamins joint, although I'm not blown away by the atmosphere of this particular place. It does have some plants which are very typical for this chain, but besides this it didn't have anything that really 'blew' my mind considering I've been some pretty awesome McMenamins locations. The service was quick and food was really good, and that's what we like! If you like curry, try the Jamaican Bowl.

Checked out McMenamins on Queen Anne for the first time with my brother-in-laws and was impressed right from the start. Slightly dark, with a bar that takes up most of the room, it has the feel of an Irish pub. We ordered the Cajun Tater Tots which were really good and I order the Turkey sandwich which was about as good as it gets. Super fresh, tangy and a great whole wheat bread. Tater Tots came with the sandwich as well as they are made in house an super tasty. All three of us order the taster set of beers and was not overly impressed though none were what we would call bad. Two did stand out, the Ruby Ale which was fruity and light and the Terminator Stout which was full bodied and our favorite. We will be back for sure.

Love, love, love coming here! Every time we visit my Mother down the street we stop in here to eat and drink. Best Raspberry Beer I have ever had. Chicken sandwich is fantastic. Came 3 times in 1 week. Services was great. Look forward to another visit!

Didn't go there expecting much but was blown away. Excellent food with just the right amount of heat (on par with any NOLA restaurant) and for a beer junky who has worked in the beer industry, my only complaint was that I couldn't get a to-go cup or two. We will be back!

Excellent food! Great drinks! Try the seasonal blackberry cider if they have it. Yum!!! McMenamin's wines are great too. Try the salmon sandwich.

Stayed at the Maxwell next door and wanted somewhere close by to grab a bite to eat. So glad we tried this place. So glad it was so close too. Menu had a nice variety for everyone, even my picky family - 3 generations, 2 vegetarians and everyone close to being in hungry be-otch mode after a very long day of travel. We all ordered different things and don't think anything wasn't good. Everything is cooked fresh, so it's not McDonalds and takes time to cook right. So order some apps and enjoy it. Everything came out hot and fresh. Service was on point for us. App - Pretzels with the cheese is soooo good. Of course you can never go wrong with the fries and think we tried both kinds. Burgers were a hit and even the veggie one went over well too. Try the Sweet Potato fries if you like those in general. Loved them. Price wise - yes it seemed pricey however I heard Seattle is expensive and we expected it to be. Plus I don't mind paying a little more for good food. We would try this place again if we come back to Seattle.

My wife and I were in town and happened upon this place. It had great food. We especially liked the wonderful attitude of each server we encountered. In the three days we were in Seattle, we ate their four times. Loved it.

Before the opera my friend and I stopped for some dinner and we each had a bowl of clam chowder, after the waitress assured us that it was very good - better than the tortilla soup, and if we didn't like it she would not charge. Our food arrived very fast, and we started to eat it. Well, we were very disappointed, as there was mostly potatoes (big hunks - see photo) with their peels on it that should have been removed as it was black. Also it was lukewarm. The waitress did not come and check to see how we liked our meal, and we also had to ask after she cleared the dishes away that we really wanted some more water. Poor service! We had been spoiled at the Anderson School restaurants, where we had eaten many times and the food and service was always fabulous.

We were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. One of us had a Rueben Sandwich and the other had fried fish and water for each of us. Everything was good but a little pricey: over $40. Service was good too.

Comfortable, casual dining just north of Seattle Center. Very tasty food, good service and a quaint, Irish pub atmosphere. Stop in for a guaranteed good meal.
McMenamins Queen Anne saved us from starvation after our flight
Tired from 6 hour flight and feeling crappy from bad colds, McMenamin's was just the ticket, with good brews, soups, chilis and home made tater tots were a thrill. We so enjoyed our experience we did not hesitate to stop at a McMenamin's every time we encountered them in the Pacific NW.
