A lively place

By C B |

We have stopped by here several times over the past few years at is it is close to where a relative lives. In two weeks' time, we actually went here twice. The first time we were able to use a back room which afforded us some privacy --was nice since we had a large group. The second time we sat in the outdoor area which is upstairs also. We had large groups each time, the service was phenomenal, especially considering how many of us there were. They have a great Cadillac margarita, they usually have some special drinks, reasonable happy hour apps, the entrées are normal pub food, but were all very good. Fairly noisy. On-street parking only.

Turkey Sandwich and great French Fries.

By 4cents-worth |

We visited with family and the setting was perfect for conversation, with the restaurant located on the second floor. We split the turkey sandwich that was very good with lots of turkey. It came with swiss cheese and if I were to reorder it again, I found the flavor dominated the sandwich and I would choose provolone cheese the next time. The basket of French fries was excellent, moist on the inside, crispy on the outside, and a tasty dip sauce. Great setting with a view.

Standard McMenamins which means great beer and mediocre food.

Good beers

By Mark D |

Came by and had a beer sampler while waiting for dinner and a restaurant a few blocks away. Good beers, good atmosphere.

An average pub in a great neighborhood

By westlakeroad |

Stopped for a later lunch, and basically had the place to ourselves. It's only been three days, but now we can't remember enough to craft a lengthy review! Salads were fresh, crisp & filling; beverages were cold & refilled quickly; server was unrushed (?) at 3pm, and the price was satisfactory. Didn't experience enough to cause us to rave about this particular McMenamins, but we'd probably try another location if the time and location coincided. 'nuff said.

Funky

By J A |

We stop by here for a drink on our way to dinner. Nice bar and as always a little funky, but thats what we like about Mc<enamins.

Just another "corporate chain."

By CSSD_12 |

Food was ok but nothing special. Would be a good place to take a large group or noisy children. Nice enough atmosphere but in Portland where you have the very best of all possible food, why eat here?

Great Craft Beer

By Gregg B |

Nice causal location featuring great craft beer, Oregon wine, Oregon whiskey and a good food. Service was attentive and knowledgeable.

Good Pub Grub with a range of beer choices

By Bookworms2010 |

Great Pub for the Irvington neighborhood. This upstairs pub was a nice place to have a quiet beer and watch the neighborhood stroll by.

Odd Reception

By beetcanner |

If you want a coaster slapped down on the table in front of you by the server walking away, then come here. Draft beer served in 1/2 pint and pint glass and that's normal. What standard in the industry around the world and is verboten here is a 4 oz. taster glass of beer and to be charged accordingly. Perhaps the math was just too much for the server. In an Irish pub in Boston, the server would go down in history as " snarky."

Great Fish!!

By Joan S |

We were in Portland for a conference and ate here one night. My wife had the salmon sandwich and I had the Halibut fish and chips and both were fantastic!

Covered outdoor dining upstairs

By irvingtonevk |

Wonderful place! Friendly service and covered outdoor dining upstairs. Head upstairs and they will seat you outside on the porch. Usually few people know about this. They have a big screen for sports outdoor too.

Worst meal, worst service all in one fell swoop.

Worst meal, worst service all in one fell swoop.

Very good beer and food in a nice setting

By BBDY |

We had lunch at McMenamins on Broadway and enjoyed both the food and the beer. The food menu was a step above many brew pubs and the portions were generous. Both their Key Lime Cream Ale and their Hammerhead Ale were very good. The view of from their second floor restaurant was a bonus and they also have outdoor seating. We will probably go back again during our week in Portland.

Consistently good food and beer at a reasonable price.

By Hopsalong |

We've always enjoyed McMenamins, and this time was no exception. Great menu, really good beer selection, and reasonable prices with good service.

Slooow Service, Limited Menu

By adavey2016 |

Went there on a busy night. Menu has too few choices. Took forever to get waited on and just as long to be served. This is a chain disguised as a local joint. Skip it and go to one of the neighborhood's local owned eateries.

Always Good

By HDS1953 |

A very nice pub with a good selection of beers on tap. Their Hammerhead is good with most of the food choices. All of us were happy with our food choices, we had the fish & chips, fish tacos, roasted turkey sandwich and my favorite the Jamaican bowl that is good without any meat choices. Good, unique food

By morgainegeiser |

We enjoyed the chicken sandwich & the spicy pizza, good tea and beer. Friendly waitress and good service.

disappointed

By surfval |

We have visited 7 different McMenamins in Oregon and some of them multiple times. We have always enjoyed them and I have to admit I just had my first bad experience. We waited for about 40 minutes for our food and my wife's fish and chips were really over cooked. The waitress said they always come out like that since they changed their batter. Nonetheless she took it back and 20 minutes later it came back not burnt, hmmmm, interesting. Unfortunately my daughter and I were done with our dinner. They did take it off the bill but I had to take my wife to Mcdonalds for a quick burger on the way back to our hotel room. If that wasn't enough they charged us 1.50 extra so that my daughter could have cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes on her kids burger. I left feeling bad.

Consistently good from McMenamins

By RonFritz |

You'd expect a solid beer selection from McMenamins and the pub pioneers didn't disappoint. Interesting pub food menu as well.

Nothing special, big chain, so usual expectations

By gonzocbr |

We had dinner here as it was about a block from our hotel. Good enough service and food, but nothing special.

Great Balcony!

By Chase N |

The best part about this place is sitting outside on the second story balcony and people watching. Had some great cocktails, and good food- but it has a great balcony! Go here for that!

LOVE THE PATIO

By KRIS T |

Good service and loved the 2nd floor patio on a hot day. Same basic food as most locations. Always great beer.

Bday Celebration

By MissKalyn |

Best part of our trip! Amazing food, amazing service and the drinks were incredible .. Can't wait to go back! I had the Moscow Mule (with extra sweet) tempura veggies and truffle fries .. Yum!

Best Burger and Brew in Town !!

By Wayne G |

McMenamins is a distiller and brewer in the Northwest with exceptionally interesting establishments serving their brews along with pub food. This one is upstairs and has a great pub atmosphere. The fire-grilled burgers went especially well with their crafted lager and the service was incredibly good.

Okay, but no big deal.

By FrequentTraveller56 |

Part of the fun of eating and drinking at other McMenamins is their settings. Converted school, old hotel, etc. more than make up for the just okay food and beer. This location is in a modern building and lacks the ambiance of the other locations. Food - okay. Beer-okay. Service - okay. That's about it.

Really good feel to this place!

By cumbria_lake |

One of many McMenamins pubs in Portland. This one is upstairs above a Starbucks and has a really good feel about it. Beer is good and the menu is fairly standard for McMenamins but definitely a place to go again.

Great Fish and Chips

By MartySmith |

Spend a Friday night here with family and we all enjoyed the fish and chips. Burgers also looked great.

Daughter wanted a taste of portland

By Thomas W |

She had heard of McMenamins and wanted to go for lunch. Daughter had the bon mi sandwich, wife the burger, granddaughter a spinach salad and I had the gyro. Service was good, appetizers were good, truffle fries, and the food was well prepared. The bon mi sandwich seemed a bit too seasoned and slightly on the sweet side, my gyro was very good, granddaughter liked her salad, and grandma was pleased with the burger. So you ask, ' why a 4?', overall the food was good but not sure if it was 5 worthy. I'll be back at another location for more.

If they don't like food why are they in the restaurant business?

By capt1davey |

Generally good beer, but that's not even consistent. Unfortunately, what seems to be consistent is simply bad food. I've tried them a few times and it's simply not worth the stomach ache. Why bother with this when Portland is awash in good micros.

Always good

By drjasonclark |

On arrival into Portland with some jet lag we wanted some good food and a drink. You can always rely on McMenamins. So when we saw this within a short walk of our AirBnB we headed in. We sat out on the deck upstairs and watched the sunset. Staff were good and food great.

oh dear.....

By AZGrotta |

Well, McMenamins are an Oregon phenomenon, but this was the worst we've visited. In fact...left after 15 minutes of sitting at the bar and no one ever asked if we'd like something..... Nuff said?

Fun For The First Time

By Rainier72 |

Even though we have a few here in Washington, I thought it would be fun to try McMenamins for the first time in Oregon. They are more well known there. A lot of them are in historic buildings but the one we went to on Broadway is not. It's still a fun place to go and I'll be sure to scope out some of the ones we have up here. They are known for their eclectic atmosphere and the one on Broadway doesn't disappoint. It's a little hard to describe. This particular restaurant now has a heated patio area which is enclosed. The menu is very pub like and my fish and chips were not too bad. A lot of burgers, sandwiches, and salads make up most of the menu. There is a bar area, pool tables in the back, and TV's scattered among the dining area. Along with trying some of the local ones up here, I'll try to go to more on future Oregon trips. A fun place to eat.

Fun place!

By Lori L |

Came here for a quick lunch. Had just attended a UCDA conference in Portland with the creative team from McMenamins giving the background for all the cool artwork at the various sites, so we had to try it. We both had the fish sandwich and it was outstanding. Quick service and friendly staff. Love the artwork!

Not up to the standard

By Cynthia C |

Now don't get me wrong I love McMenamins, enjoy in particular staying on the properties with lodging. But this one is not up to the usual standard. Might have been covid, but the employees were not on the ball as is usual and the food was not well cooked. If you are in Portland and wanting a great experience I would suggest going to the Kennedy School instead.

Upstairs, in a booth, by the window! Any and all Oregonian's should be familiar with at least one of the 50 plus McMenamins!

Service was A-plus

By sandi6569 |

Service was a big plus. Jacob H went out of his way to make us comfortable and happy diners. He Put Olympics on big tv for us and kept checking to be sure we had everything we needed. Great cider selection and tuna sandwiches were delicious!!

Always great soup and sandwich!

By JamerB007 |

Quick late lunch after busy day. Curry Lentil soup was tasty, tangy and salty, combined with 1/2 tuna salad sandwich. Perfect with a Hammerhead Pale ale....will be back.

Nice plaxe

By Amanda W |

Met a friend around 3:30 PM it wasn't super busy which was nice. There was a lot of natural light in the restaurant and the service was good. We had a small appetizer (Cajun tater tots, they were ok but nothing to write home about) and a drink. I can't complain overall seem like a nice place.

Good food and drinks

By Sweetcakes23 |

Wonderful sandwiches and brews. Good sports bar. Friendly staff and place was clean. However the bathrooms could use more attention.

Yummy Burgers

By Tom L |

The burgers at McMenamins were fresh and juicy. We had plenty of choices. The patio was very welcoming and comfortable.

Good food for lunch

By Kandi H |

Took a very large group here for lunch. The food was tasty and our server was helpful. There were a few mistakes made with our food order which might have been attributed to large group although the restaurant wasn't busy. Would recommend.

Great beer!

By Phyllis S |

My husband loves this chain and this was my first time. I had a Ruby beer that I found tart and refreshing. The curry lentil soup was delish. The fish and tots was nice two thick fish fillets that were crispy tender and flaky. Tots a bit crisp for me and the slaw was bland to me. Needed some dressing tasted like it didn't have any. Service was excellent nice view of the street from second story window. Nice atmosphere on a Sunday night.

Amazing food!

By Jessi L |

So I'm sure my food was absolutely delicious - but I had a cold and could barely taste a thing! My wife told me my pulled pork was amazing, and her own dinner seemed delicious (and it may have been a pub, but it was the best hot tea I've had in a long time). I'm anxious to go again and properly enjoy my food!

Good for burger and brew

By cody l |

Great selection of beers and interesting burgers... my girlfriend had the Jamaican bowl to eat but thought the curry was too mild/bland. Service was great and we had a nice view of the cross street below from the second floor window. A bit pricey but worth it overall.

Relaxed, good food

By Mary S |

I always like the food here. Sometimes I get soups, sometimes salads, and sometimes more meaty things. I pretty much always get a beer called Ruby, which is my favorite. The pickled onions are really good.

True to McMenamins

By RobinM |

I always enjoy McMenamins, but a quick bite at the Broadway location was a pleasant surprise. Hubby and I stopped for a quick bite mid afternoon one day. Place was not busy. The sever was very attentive, they had a few menu items we had not seen before, and as always the beer is delish! I recommend the Curry Tuna Sandwich (of course with Tots) -YUM!!

Great service - accommodated our group well

By Elizabeth R |

Our walking group went to McMenamin's on Broadway for a lunch after a two hour walk. Our waiter did a great job. The food was typical good McMenamin's food. And, we were given separate checks without asking! Thank you!!!!

Always a pleasant experience! :~D

By Peggy B |

McMenamins have changed how they make their hamburger patties. The meat had seasoning added that was too salty and peppery for me. I do not eat salt in my diet, which made it very very noticeable to me. The McMenamins have changed how they make their hamburger patties. The meat had seasoning added that was too salty and peppery for me. I do not eat salt in my diet, which made it very very noticeable to me. The burger was cook all the way through and the presentation was beautiful. Also you do not have to have fries with your burger. Soup or salad can be requested. I love their Afraica soup and the seasoning that they use. I know: "what a strange combination". I apprciate the atmosphere. Everything is so relaxed and low key that I can unwind and enjoy my meal. The waitresses are always friendly, helpful and efficient.

Friendly, relaxed and nice pub

By Kevin F |

I had the steak on kale which was very pleasant - admittedly difficult to cock-up. The waitress was friendly, efficient and very accommodating. I ordered a beer (Ruby), which according to the blurb was one of the most popular beers. It was awful - it tasted like a fruit drink! I mentioned this to the waitress who said that she was happy to bring me another beer. Well done! This is what makes people come back.

Worth the walk from the convention center

By StaceyLeeDee |

There is NOTHING close by to the convention center, so if you are stuck there all day, as we were, the walk (or the Max to the Lloyd Center then a walk---25 minutes total either way) was worth it. Better food than usual for a McMenamins (where the food quality differs at every location) and a great selection of brews. I wish I could find the Bad Roommate somewhere else---a lovely ale! The salads are wonderful, but get the tots with them since they don't come with bread.

Just OK

By iGuy |

Despite having decent beer we were dispointed in the limited food items on the menu. What we got seemed very middle of the road, not "house made fresh"

Another Tasty Meal at McMenamins

By S49M |

Again enjoyed beer, cider, and tasty dinners at McMenamins in Portland's near-in, east side pub. Great pub atmosphere and good views from their second story location. As always, several drink choices and good pub food. Service was good and prices were moderate.

Good beer, good food

By Robert A |

The interior is attractive with a high ceiling. Very friendly service. The beers are very good particularly the specials. The food is good and prices are ok.

Local Chain With Some Flair

By Mark H |

No, not the Office Space kind of flair, the good kind. Our waitress was just sassy enough to be fun, and the food was too. Nothing really knocked our socks off, but it was all good enough to make the conversation stop for a few minutes. Decent beer too. I'd stop in if I were you...

A mix of good and bad

By leo r |

They didn't really care to our group of 8. I know that is a large group but 20 minutes to get a drink is pushing it. Food was good as long as you stuck to the pub fare, the curry and vegetarian options were tasteless or too sweet. A flight of whiskey (3 half shots) is $13 but the same three whiskeys as full shots come out to $20. Don't get flights, they are a rip off. The staff seemed over stressed and didn't seem to have the time to be courteous. The bartender, on the other hand, was constantly talking to some of his friends at the bar and would never give us service until he had finished chatting. Overall we enjoyed the food and liquor, but we would have loved some real service.

My favorite place to eat!

By gerbil k |

This is my favorite local place to stop in for a bite to eat. The staff is a bit quirky in a good way, the food is always delicious, and it's just my consistent go to spot in town.

Awesome Food and Very Good Beer

By Jon H |

Started with the beer flite to taste all of their beers. Very good but not great beer. However, the food was fantastic. The Beer Cheese Potato Soup was incredible and after I had the Santa Fe Bowl w/ Chicken and it was awesome. Fresh vegetables cooked to perfection and seasoned with just a little bite. Will definitely make the stop here again on my next trip through.

Easy Going Place for Food and a Brew

By Charles V |

Okay, it's another McMenamin's, but we like the place. Typical easy going McMenamins in this English style pub located not far from MODA Center. A nice selection of well thought out bar food, a variety of their beer and a large selection of spirits make up the menu. Our server (Jill) was just great. She delivered the starter of Spinach and Artichoke dip and our drinks with a terrific smile. We polished it all off, picked up two passport inserts for our McMenamins Passports and asked for our check. After settling up the check, Jill helped us with the passport inserts. Another friendly visit topped off with Jill's warm and friendly smile. We'll be back again soon.

There's better in the neighbourhood!

By Michael A |

Being "tourist" we were not familiar with McMenamins, which by the reviews is quite popular. This one has an upstairs location with a vey large room allowing us to be seated at a quiet table. Very good menu with wide choices available The wine list has no imported wines. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. My Mac & Cheese was delicious as was Sharon's "Hogshead Salmon sandwich" The price was very reasonable. We enjoyed our meals and the overall experience was "good"; but when travelling we like to find places that are unique and make us want to come back On our next visit we will look for other options.

Love the patio

By axs666 |

Pro tip - more family-oriented than the other McMenamins in Portland I think. A great open space with cheerful service, good beers, and honest food. We loved the outdoor patio on floor 2.

Slow Service

By Jason D |

There weren't enough wait staff. The place wasn't even busy on a Sunday but service was very slow. The restroom facilities we're inadequate for such a large establishment and were poorly marked.

Good Experience

By GRB3 |

We stopped by for a late meal and enjoyed the experience. The alcohol and food selection was good, everyone found something to their liking and was pleased with our visit to McMenimins. The service and atmosphere were also quite good.

After a rough day...

By BlueSky32022 |

After a particularly hard day this was a great place to go to have a couple of drinks to unwind and a big, juicy burger to drown ones sorrows in...better than the alcohol. The burgers are big. I had the UFO with onion rings, cheese, bacon, special sauce. Ah. So heavy and delicious. The fries were average but I didn't care because the burger was delicious. Companions had an order of onion rings which were better than the fries, and a Terminator burger. It too was declared delicious. We all left more than satisfied and the bad day receded...

Another good McMenamins Visit this time on Broadway

By RSNN |

I was in the Lloyd Center Mall and not too far away from the McMenamins over on Broadway so I thouhgt I might as well check it out and have lunch. It is located over on the corner of 15th. Up on the second floor. I looked over the outdoor Patio and decided that I'd rather eat inside. And picked a table along the outer edge where they have booths along the windows overlooking the street below. There were lots of plants by the stairs for a bit of a pleasant jungle look. And the ceiling was lofty with some itnteresting things hanging up above. I ordered a cheese burger and a pint of McMenimans Irish Stout (Nitro). Face it we are closing in on St. Patrick's Day so I might as well go Irish this month. While I waited for my burger to arrive I looked over a flier they had for McMenamins Passports. McMenamins passports cost $30 and are good forever. And you colllect stamps when you visit different McMenamins places. I guess you could say these are McMenamins forever stamps. So you can earn fee items as you explore the multitude of McMenamins establishments. Well it would be a an expuse to go visit more interresting places. I'd have to think this over as I do plan to check out many of their places anyway. My cheese burger tasted great and I had golden brown fries with it. The Irish Stout was good as well with kinda a chocolate taste to it. I swung by the bar before I left and looked over some of the gist items they had displayed in the case. Many with their distinctive art work. Which tends to remind me of tripped out Grateful Dead art. Yeah, it was another good visit to yet another McMenamins establishments.

Not my cup of tea!

By Kathy G |

If you are looking for a noisy bar with sports on TV and decent food options, this would be a good place, just not what I was looking for. Maybe I'm not being fair, I wanted dinner and I ended up in a bar, which just didn't suit me. That said, my hamburger was very good and my partner's sandwich was good as well.

excellent food, moderately priced

By ilwaco61 |

At a convention at the Double Tree and McMenamins recommended for lunch. About a 5 block walk and you basically have to pass through the LLoyd Center if you are walking from the various hotels. Walk worth the trouble, really nice lunch menu at moderate priced for the Portland area. Food was excellent and service was terrific. Glad we stopped.

Just like I remembered..

By DaMacAttack |

Great homemade food, especially if you're looking for a "not so average" meal. This was my first time trying Edgefield Reisling & I loved it so much...we bought a couple of bottles to go. I believe you can only purchase their wine on-site.

Happy hour baby!

By gregp422 |

Good happy hour prices on drinks and food. Great place to meet a few friends for a pint or two. Not great, but very good.

Nice place, plenty of choice beers on tap

By John R |

Stopped here for a couple of pints, plenty of high quality choices, had a personal sized pizza and was really impressed with the exceptional homemade pizza crust. Sauce needed a little more tang, buit overall very good pizza. Looking at menu, some of the other items seemed a bit opricey to me, hamburgrs in $15 range, for example, but pints were in line with normal pricing. One oddity I had never run across, bathroom had a combo lock on it, first time I have ever seen a locked bathroom outside of a gas station in the sticks.

The complete microbrew/foodie experience!

By VikingDaddy |

The food was outstanding and flavorful. My wife had the Jamaican Curry and I had the Coconut Curry Chicken soup and they were phenominal. Topping off our evening was the seasonal brew on tap - Copper Moon. It was well-bodied, tasteful, not too heavy, and finished clean and refreshing. The service was high quality and the location and layout was well thought out. A definite must go (to any of their other locations as well) :)

Sunny spot even on a cloudy day, surprisingly good service

By ToniPortland_OR |

I have been to a lot of McMenamins so I pretty much know what to expect -- pretty good food, darkish lighting, slowwwww service. Well, not this time! The strawberry feta salad I had was delicious and everyone at the table gave happy thumbs up to their entrees (a quesadilla, fish and chips, and a gyro). My cherry limeade was just tart enough and well blended -- first time I had tried one and I really liked it. The ambiance upstairs was so peaceful! Lots of windows all around and plants in the middle -- it sort of felt like an atrium. It was grey and drizzly outside yet it felt light and cozy inside. What surprised me most, though, was the service. McMenamins are known to have somewhat relaxed service. We never go to one if we are on a schedule. Our waitress this time, though, was efficient, fast, and anticipated our needs before we had to ask for stuff (like ketchup or extra napkins). This McMens is now definitely on my go-to list when I am in the neighborhood.

Good American Food

By Heidi S |

The food was tasty, with plenty of variety on the menu. Service was quite excellent, and the prices were reasonable.

If It's Oregon; It's McMenamins!!

By GOJ1970 |

I think we stop at some McMenamins location every time we visit the Portland area. The food and drinks are always good but the menu is Ale House, not Steak and Lobster House, so just be aware of that. This particular location is not as ''classic'' as some either, but still a great place if you're in that area.

Cozy place to have a meal

By loonalaska |

We had a window seat and tried the hummus plate with some beers, it was great. The variety of items on the plate was tasty. The service was friendly and it was a happening place. It seems you can never go wrong with a McMenamins. They have good flavor.

Plentiful

By rdgtchr |

Very pleasant outdoor seating Friendly server Typical McMenamin food , good not great but reliable Often too much served, wish for smaller plates available

Cool place

By 762corey |

Family and I had lunch there. Not be as good as I remember from 15 years ago, but good burger and cocktails. A short walk from Residence inn by Marriott. Staff was decent. I would go again.

Good cocktails, yummy food

By kryptogram |

I had a pear cocktail that was just delicious and a soup/salad combo that was dynamite. The food took a little longer than I'd have preferred, but overall it was a great place to get a bite.

McMenamins- very pleasantly surprised!

By PDXPortland |

Our friends had reserved a function room and invited 6-7 families with younger children. Welcomed and directed to the room. The waiter who was serving us was exemplary. I haven't had such good customer service from any establishment for a long time. With the differing demands from families, he took the orders in his stride. Drinks and food was brought out and delivered correctly to everyone with special consideration for the kids. He appeared calm and took additional orders with a casual ease. He continued to help everyone and on separate billing- everything was correct! As to the food - I tried the Bombay Fries - mouthwatering good as was the Curried Tuna Melt and an Indonesian soup. All in all, a very pleasant and memorable evening out.

Slow service and mediocre food

By Glamerousgran |

We have given this local place a few tries hoping it would get better as it is so handy. However, after this last time bringing the grandchildren and waiting forever, we are going to pass. We were there early for dinner as we had young children. The place had few people at tables. The food is mediocre. Wish it could step up its quality and service.

Hamilton Burger is the bomb!

By Mario R |

The Hamilton Burger accompanied with Beer Taster Tray was the best duo I have ever had. Joel M was a great waiter. Ask for this dude if you go.

Noy quite as good as other McMenamins venues, but better than most

By John M |

The menu can get a bit repetative, but you at least know you will get better than average food. Unlike most of the other venues this has the feel of a strip mall restaurant. Still worth the stop if you can not get over to the Kennedy School or the St,. John's area

Limited menu

By jdsharkey |

It's been a little while since we have been to McMenamins in PDX. I have always loved their mushroom burger. So tonight I decided to have one and add bacon too. Very disappointed. There was hardly any mushrooms on it. It Used to be loaded with them, but not any more. One slice of bacon cost an addl $1.75. A little much if you ask me. The burger itself was almost $12. Our waiter didn't ask us how we wanted our burger done. When they came out They were a little too pink for me. Won't be in any hurry to go back

Cajon Tots and Purple Haze

By Julia M |

A friend insisted we try McMenamins cajon tots. Insisted. She'd said to thank her later. Long story short, we tried them, she was right. So you do the same. Try them. And thank me later. Also, the purple haze beer, it's amazing! Just enough berry essence, but not sweet or overwhelming. I loved it!

Barely a bowl

By JayDAllen |

This is a neighborhood pub for us. The menu and table service are good! The kitchen had got much faster! I like the patio seating. My only complaint is that the burger and bowls seem to be shrinking. Thankfully a pint is still a pint.

Nice bar with great servers

By DebbieKij |

We stopped in to get out of the rain and grab a quick drink. The servers were fast and friendly. The bar had a nice ambience and the beer selection was great.

great beer and yummy supper

By Haley O |

We stopped in for a beer taste and stayed or supper. Pub style food - we had the burgers. Good sized meals and tasty! Great beer :) We sat on the deck. Service was good and friendly!

Wonderful food and atmosphere

By Patti R |

I was able to walk to this restaurant from the B&B where I stayed. The food was great and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere was fun with lots of plants. This company seems to keep the buildings it purchases and renovates as true to original style as possible.

Good lunch spot

By RKAustin |

This is a nice location, fun area on Broadway. The dip sandwich was very good. I tried their beer flight and got a good sampling of the beers. My wife tried their wine flight and those were good. Parking looks pretty easy around the area.

large group excellent

By Teresa M |

we haven't been here for awhile, and attended our friend, matt's, visit from the south with a large group of friends in the big room reserved...we had a ruby and a rubinator...i had the salmon sandwich on whole wheat with a salad, and my partner had the salmon on a tradtional bun with tots...there were about 10-15 of us...the server was exceptional...friendly, efficient, and thorough...great! the food was superb...nice they expanded the pub out to the south with fresh air/balcony..great view!
