I know I know, the food isn't five star! But, does it really matter??? This place is a hoot and the show is pretty darn good. Admit it, you love going here with or without your kids!!

Of the many places we wanted to visit in Dallas, this one was one of the top of the list. On one of my Army tours between 2010- 2012, are students booked a dinner and show at Medieval Times on Stemmons Freeway. I must say this is one of the best forms of family food fun and entertainment that I have ever experienced. I miss the opportunity, but didn't for my family that we would at some point have the opportunity to attend this venue. We will definitely do so upon our return to Dallas in the very near future. I will suggest anyone who wants to treat their family to good food, two great entertainment, and to a walk back in the history of jousting that you take your family to Medieval Times!

The show was great. A lot of fun and the kids enjoy it. The food is maybe average but I don't think you visit there for the 5 star dining experience but rather the live show with the king and the knights and of course the horses. Our show did feature quite a bit of audience participation which was entertaining.

Definitely a different atmosphere now to 7 years ago the food I would only give two stars made everybody sick to their stomach too much grease and the ice cream cup at the end was kind of insulting the show was pretty decent I would give that for the actors really involved themselves into their characters we all enjoyed the Entertainer $17 for a drink it's highway robbery but honestly Dolly Parton painted horse in Branson was much better than this on all fronts so the $350 I spent on tickets was a waste of money

Although the show is always good, the food is average, and the fare doesn't vary. If you want to try something different from the roasted chicken, ask for a vegetarian meal. I have been served a different veg meal each time I have attended - eggplant, stuffed mushroom, and vegetable stew.

My husband and I were in town for the weekend and this is something that neither one of us has ever done. Arrived early as instructed and got to walk around and check out the little shops and took a picture with a princess. Once seated inside, I was blown away. More then what I had expected. Food was very good. We pick one of the pricier options simply because this was our 1st time and we wanted to splurge. If you look at the overall experience, price is not bad. Only complaint was that it was VERY cold inside. But that is not really a big deal. Will be going back again. Fun thing to do.

Had a great time! Great show, friendly staff! Drinks are a little pricey, but we had a great time! Would definitely return if I end up in that area again.

The food is ok, but go for the show. Your meal server brings it to you, and a drink server will fill orders from the bar so you don't have to leave your seat. Our server made things extra entertaining saying the tomato soup was dragon's blood, the chicken was from the falcons that didn't do so well, and the dessert was dragon's dung. Please tip them well when they are treating you like royalty.

A must for families visiting Dallas with children! Our kiddos ( age 9 and 11 years) loved every minute. From the impressive falcon swooping over our heads, to the magnificent prancing horses to the knights sword battles. Dinner was hearty fare, no utensils like in the medieval times. Tomato soup with crusty bread, roasted chicken with corn and baked potato, ending with delicious apple pie pastry.

We spent the evening at Medieval Times in Dallas, Texas and it was an exciting and entertaining evening. Show and dinner were excellent, the service was just OK. The servers and gift shop attendants could have played the part better for us for being in the environment we were in. They were not very excited to see us. We purchashed the celebration package which came with a picture. We were not allow to pick the background we wanted. I think they should allow you to pick the background when you purchase the package online. I was not the only complaining about this. We paid extra for it we should be allow to pick the background. Gift shop had a variety of items which were a little pricey but that is to be expected. The torture museum was interesting and worth the $2 fee to enter. So from a score of 1 to10 we give this location a 8. Improve your customer service and let us pick our picture background and you get 10 from us.

We were in town one business trip with colleagues and decided to visit this much seen but yet untested place for us. We were awed by the sheer fun we had in the 3 hour or so experience! The experience was worth many times over the cost of the event, and the food was great! Definitely coming back with family soon!

Went to this place for the very 1st time for my great granddaughters birthday and my husband and I were both impressed. The cost of going there was well worth every dollar of it! My granddaughter had called and took care of everything ahead of time, we went to the 2:00pm show, we went in and picked up what section we would be sitting in and what seat number we would be sitting in. The area where you sit in is like an arena back in the old days when the King and his Princess daughter sits up to watch the show! We had our drink, Tomato Bisque, 1/2 roasted chicken, corn on the cob, 1/2 of a baked potato and cake for dessert. It was really delicious! Don't know if they have the same thing all the time but it was very good. The show was great, they fought with swords, jousted, etc. like in the old days! Trust me you won't be sorry if you go!! The kids really get into it and I know me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it.

Although definitely not inexpensive, Medieval Times is a fun, memorable experience for families. Lots of cheering, knights, princesses, banners, horses, swordplay and all while eating a simple meal (remember this is a kid oriented place so don't look for high brow cuisine). My kids loved it and it was fun for us parents as well.

We had such a great time. My husband and I took our two boys, age 11 and 12. Our 12 year old thought it would be lame and refused the paper crown, but about 5 minutes into the show he was whooping and hollaring right along with all of us. The food was great. Be prepared to spend more than just ticket prices. Pictures, souveniers, beers, swords, etc add up quick; but definitely worth it.

My first time here as I went with my adult daughter for her birthday. She had been there twice before but years apart. It was a fun evening and the workers did very well keeping to their characters. The king, princess and knights and falconaire (birdman) were really into character! Our server was great as well! I loved the beautiful horses too! The food was pretty tasty and filling and included dessert. It was a little "overkill" with all the souvenirs and pictures to buy. But I guess that's to be expected. Our seating wasn't ideal because our view was blocked by the people sitting to our right. My daughter said she had never had that problem before. Luck of the draw, I guess. If you can sit in the black/white or red/yellow areas which are located on the sides of the arena, you will have the better viewing. I would like to bring my grandsons to see the show some day. (Just hate the interstate traffic getting there)

Great show! Doors open an hour early. Arrive earlier than that because the line gets long fast. The capacity it said was over 3000 people. When the doors open there is a bar and some gift shops. Characters are in this area, you can pat extra to get knighted by the queen. Doors open to get in the arena about 10 minutes to show time. Food was very good and enough to fill you up. The show was great. 2 hours flew by in no time. Fans really got in to the show by cheering for their knight to win the games. Would definitely do it again

My family had a great time during our visit. We enjoyed the dress up pictures before the show. And the price of the pictures was very reasonable. The food was good. Maybe not great for picky kids or kids that don't want to eat with his or her hands. I did like they kept the food with the theme. Dragon's blood for the tomato soup. Baby dragon for the chicken. Dragon eggs for the potatoes. The show was also good. It got a bit slow in between events when they did the rose ceremony. The jousting and sword play at the end was good. It was a little confusing to try and follow the small story line but maybe I was just trying to make too much of it. My only "complaint" is that I felt the table was too tall for the seats. That meant that all of the little kids had to stand in the seats just to see over the table.

I wasn't expecting much, but was totally surprised. A great night of fun. Fantastically athletic performers put on a great show. The waitstaff play their own parts while providing friendly and professional service. The menu is fixed and utensils are not provided. You eat with your hands just like in "Medieval Times" (they are civilized enough to provide wet-naps after dinner) The chicken and ribs dinner was surprisingly good as was the jousting

My family and I had a great time there. Though, when we got there. We were charged a gratuity fee before entering. Also, they don't provide silverware. You may want to take your own plasticware, if you don't want to eat with your hands. Other than that. We enjoyed ourselves.

We had visitors in from out of the country who have been to Dallas on two other occasions so we had exhausted all the typical Dallas tourist options. We decided to take them to Medieval Times last night and they really enjoyed the show . This is the second time I have been. Our children (boys - 7 and 8) loved it ! I was able to use a coupon for tickets that was on their FB page so I was able to get some discount. They do a group picture of you when you get there and try to sell it to you during the show. So even though I thought I saved money on my tickets , gratuity ( mandatory for our group size of 11) was extra, alcoholic drinks were extra , the picture was extra and if I wanted any souvenirs that would have been extra as well. And they are not cheap ! All in all it was a lot of fun and a great show. The horses are spectacular !

We made our reservations over the phone and spoke with a very friendly person. When we arrived for the 7:30pm dinner & show we were greeted like royalty! We received our crowns and our VIP badges. We had our picture taken with the Princess! The picture quality was very good and the pictures were framed. We also received banners and towels for use in cheering the events to come. Everyone stayed in character and added to the festive atmosphere. The knights & horses were very impressive. The meal was very generous & tasty! You will have to eat with your hands. Overall a great experience~!

We spent $222 and had BOGO tickets for 4 kids and 2 adults. It says to come 75 minutes before to see the museum and horses, but we weren't allowed in after a certain time as the line was out the door and around the corner to enter. I don't understand why we had to wait outside, as you enter the building you take pictures with the Princess, get a hat and then enter and large open area with a bar, museum and horse stables. It was so crowded in there and by the time we made it to the building they told people where to sit based on their hat color. So, that meant there was no time to find the museum or the horses. Disappointment right there! We were the last table to be seated and as it turned out, the last to receive the food too. The food was tasty, but most of my kids didn't care for it and that was a huge waste of money for us. There is not anything kid friendly to buy food wise, and although a vegan dish is offered, what kids wants a pile of rice and beans??? Our waitress never brought our dessert or refilled our drinks once the main course was passed out. The actors on the horses were kind of cheesy, but it is still something different to see and do. Once the show is over, the waitress's stand at the bathroom doors and wont allow you to use them. You have to go outside the room and into the crowded building with everyone else and try to find the bathroom and then stand in line forever. That was our last major disappointment, especially with kids that cant hold it that long. Vegas has a show Tournament of Kings that is very similar to this show. Save your money and go there. They have different food options, don't forget your meal, and allow you to use the bathroom when it is conveinent for you.

Had a Great time. It is a little pricey, but it is worth it. Get the VIP package and you are treated like kings and queens!!!!

Total washout rain ,did not go but paid 3 tikets, difficult getting in contact with show ,disapointed ,told functions in tents but severe wet weather ,alot cancelled sat 24th aug

No award winning food, great fun! Kids love the program, as well as adults! Very fun evening with great entertainment! I would highly recommend and would for sure take a group there again! Very fun activity and something fun for the entire family! Children, teenagers adults as well!

My whole family enjoyed this experience very much. The food wasn't even that bad! We had a great time here!

This was a fun evening because we chose to get into it the actors are very accomodating and show was entertaining although dragged on a bit The food is very simple but was delicious, we chose to get into it and be over involved and that helped for a enjoyable evening It is a bit pricey for what it is but they do stick to the theme

We decided to go for Father's Day because they had a special offer which included a free drink to fill a beer stein gift They say to arrive early for the best seating areas - they assign seating position beginning with the front row of each section so the earlier you arrive the more likely you will have a closer seat. Seating is also based on price levels. They have options for first row and for "royal" sections which are located directly across from the center of the jousting and entertainment area. Arrive early! Before the show there is a waiting period once you enter the castle. This is a good opportunity for souvenirs or to visit one of the two bars located at opposite ends of the area. The staff will announce the doors will be opening and you will be instructed to get in line in a specific area based on the color of your section. I expected a bunch of jousting and sword fighting but the show had more of a story line to it. The show includes competitive games which determine jousting order as well as a display of the horses ability to dance. There is also a falconer involved and a climatic conclusion. The knights also interact with the audience which makes you feel like part of the show. The food was very tasty. They serve a tomato bisque which I would not normally eat but it was so delicious I actually started eating my wives as well. They have a well seasoned "dinosaur egg" which is very delicious. The service was excellent. Each server handles an entire section on their own but they have a very efficient method. Don't ask for forks - your hands are your utensils. Overall I would recommend this experience to anyone interested in the medieval times period and/or renaissance fairs. The price is a little high. The show is appropriate for most ages.

Like: kids loved it! Great atmosphere and food! Dislike: Price. make no mistake, this is a very expensive night but for a once in a blue moon type activity it was fantastic. the staff is super and we had a very memorable birthday evening for my 7 year old!!

We really enjoyed coming here. The staff was really awesome and they seemed like they thoroughly enjoyed their jobs. We paid the extra $ too to see the torture room and it is pretty cool as well.

We love going back in time and watching this wonderful show. The food is good but the show is much better. Beautiful horses and nice looking men. This is a win win for me. Good Vs Evil. The horses are so wonderfully trained, it's just amazing how beautifully they preform. You get to cheer for your jousters and boo against the evil man. Audience participation is great family fun. Looking forward to our next visit.

Awesome entertainment value. Good food, prepared to eat without utensils. Be prepared. The show is amazing, and what you come here for. The horses are AMAZING. There is a falconry show that is second to none. All in all, well worth the visit. We did the New Year’s Eve special, and had an excellent time.

This is a great place for all ages. Great food, great entertainment, overall wonderful experience. Admission is pricey, but it is worth the money. There is lots of dust in the air due to the horses running from one end to other in the arena, so be prepared if you suffer from allergies. Also, when you're served your meal, you will not be given silverware, you will be eating with your hands. I would highly suggest this place if you have boys, they would have a blast here!!

Great family event! Alcoholic beverages and gift shop items cam be pricey, however they are not necessities. Overall, unless you are really uptight...you can't help but have a great time!

Only in america can someone come up with the idea of building a fake castle with a fake king and fake knights in the middle of a city. But try and disregard the slighly cheesy setup and fake decors. The horsemanship is very good, and the show is entertaining, even if I thought it slow at times. The food is plenty and surprisingly tasty. Alas, as always with places with captive audience the drink prices are really high, and the constant peddling of flags, roses, swords, etc. is annoying. Our kids had a blast though and it was really enjoyable.

We were in Dallas for the weekend with our kids ages 7, 13 and 14. The show and dinner were fantastic. We all loved it! Definitely well worth the cost. The servers were great and we really liked the show.

Need other menu options for younger children; the standard menu is fine for older kids and adults; not too appealing for the younger audiences.

My daughter and I took her 9 year old twins while we were visiting the a Dallas area. After our trip when asked what their favorite thing they did was - they both answered "Medievel Times"! We had been to several attractions and this was the last thing we did. Both kids said that we saved the best till last! We were in the red section and were given red crowns to wear so we could cheer for the Red Knight. As it turned out, he was the winner for the evening. (We think it was our cheering). When the knights come out on their horses, they throw a carnation up to the crowds in their section. The red knight threw one and my granddaughter caught it! She was thrilled! They have a knighting ceremony that takes place several times during the evening. The granddaughter had her coronation and so felt very special after catching a carnation. The food was very good, especially considering his many people they have to serve so quickly. Eating without tableware was fun too. The chicken and rib were excellent. I also enjoyed the tomato soup and garlic bread. Before going in to dinner, we went through the museum portion where they had all kinds of items they used for punishment and torture. Everyone at Medievel Times was much nicer than I think the people were back in the day! All in all we had a great time and would recommend visiting when you are in the Dallas area. My daughter is going back and taking her husband!

My husband and I took 2 girls, 13 and 10. They loved it. Our youngest is temporarily in a wheelchair, they were very considerate. Helped us get thru the crowd to our table and had easy access to everything. Great food, loved the dragon touch.

This is a fantastic experience. Well worth the price. Took the entire family and have to say this is a top notch experience. The food is decent as well, which I didn't expect. I thought the money would be for the show not for the food, which meant I was pleasantly surprised by the meal.

Took the kids (6, 10, and 13) here while in Dallas for vacation. My husband and I have been to the MT in Buena Park CA and it was the same experience for us. Same bar, gift shop, show, meal etc. I wouldn't go to MT again just because it is the same no matter which one you visit. We went more for our nephews, mom and sister who had never been and they highly enjoyed it. I love how they give you to go boxes for the food because you cannot finish your plate. Loooots of food. I recommend Medieval Times for those who have never been and for those looking for family fun in Dallas.

The dinner show that is Medieval Times was much better than expected. I kind of expected cheap Renaissance Fair in a closed arena. Boy was I wrong. The presentation was first rate. From the moment you arrive into the hall of "things to buy" you realize you are in for a show. The horses are on display, all employees are in character, while the Harold (councilor I think) introduces you to your evening. Once you enter the arena you are drawn into a 2 hour story that is amazing for kids and very enjoyable for anyone who loves knights, maidens in distress, etc... The food was much better than expected, seating comfortable, views excellent... What more could you ask for... It is well worth the price.. Speaking of price. Look on their web site for discounts. They change every day and I was able to get $25 off each ticket on one of their promotions. I would definitely do this again with the family...

Medieval Times Dallas Texas is worth the money. The food is good and the drinks are sort of pricey but they make up for it. Fun for the kids and adults.I always have a blast when I go. You can go on a special occasion,or make one up and get knighted by the king in front of everyone. Worth the money! Get the royal package you will be front row.

This was our first time taking our grand kids. We really enjoyed it .The Tournament and dinner was excellent . If you are party of 10 and above they will ask you about the gratuity up front . We were ok with it but when your server appears with a gratuity plate and you have to explain you have already gave it . Seems to us the communication with staff needs improvement.

Our Texas Family members treated us during our Thanksgiving visit. The restaurant will attempt to increase profit margin through out the seating process, but it is not a hard sell and simple no takes care of avoiding high cost add ons. No one attends this event for the food, will state food quality is good and plentiful. All food is eaten without utensils, same as medieval times. The show is excellent and fun for all ages. We were three generations and everyone enjoyed the evening. Must mention the horses are well groomed and trained. No need for Royal Seating, all seats provide and excellent view of the show. Highly recommend for a family event.

Went here with my grandparents, parents, and my wife and son. We caught a deal online so we only payed 43.00 per person. It was a fun family atmosphere lots going on while you wait. My folks did complain about there needing to be more seating area while ur waiting for the show because they advise you to show up an hour early. Which is completely unnecessary since its assigned seating as u check in also don't go for the VIP no need since every seat is a good seat. Overall the food was good/ atmosphere was great/ pricing was dead on with the discount/ The show was very entertaining. To sum it up this is a great place for a special occasion or 1st timers. Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon it's a one time kind of place.

Wow, what a great show ... All the actors in character ... A must see show with the family .... A bit expensive on the items they sell. I bought a crown for 45$ and the pictures are like $20 and then after that 10$ each... Food was ok not bad ... Friends people.. I recommend every one to come here ..

The reviews I read were pretty accurate. The drinks are WAY over priced. The food was better than expected considering it's a banquet style meal. The show while at times was very cheesy, was still very entertaining! The horses are very well trained and the knights are good as well. One negative thing I have to say is that it is VERY expensive to attend. Granted it's a show and a meal, but if you add in the extras it gets pricey fast. Not only do you have to pay for an expensive meal but they are constantly trying to sell you something. We took a picture with the princess and it was $20. Then they have light up swords and princess crowns and those are over $20 a piece. While the show is going on they continue to try to sell things such as photo's while you are eating and light up flowers, which was very distracting. The service was good but unprofessional. If you are ordering from the bar you have to pay for the drinks at the table each time they come around, they don't just start a tab. Also, don't drink your tea too fast because at the start of the show the server says you will only get 1 refill because he will not have time to come back around. Then when the show is about to end the server interrupts and gives you a card with his name saying if you want to put a credit card number down for his tip to do so and reminds you that the tip wasn't part of your ticket price and it's his lively hood. Aside from the interruptions and constant upselling it was still a fun night with my family. My kids loved it! I would definitely recommend checking it out, but be forewarned the reviews about cost are very accurate.

Shouldn't really do this! There were 14 adults, no kids! Weren't really sure what we were getting into but wanted a group dinner. We were more than a little apprehensive but had the time of our life. Show was really pretty good, amazing horses. Food was great and loved eating with my hands and my wife couldn't yell at me!!

I have always wanted to go to Medieval Times and recently had the chance when I stayed at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel which is close by. Despite not finding someone at the conference I attended to go with me, I decided to go by myself. The staff made me feel very welcome and placed me right in front next to two other people who made me feel right at home. The show and food were great and it was one of the highlights of my trip!

I love this place. I like to take a big group and get kind of rowdy when our knight wins! The menu is always the same, so i don't have to have the internal debate on what to get (yay no pressure). the only down sides are the calorie count of the meal and the cost of the drinks. The atmosphere is great fun though and if you want you can check out the torture museum. I was apprehensive at first with this place because i thought it would be hard to eat while smelling horse poo, but you can't smell it. Check it out, especially if you have kids.

This is one of those things you might want to do once every 5 years. They may change the show sometime, but it was the same show last year as it was this year. The food is palatable. It's something fun to do with family and friends. It allows the kids to scream their lungs out and even the adults were yelling for their knight. The performers are talented and witty and have you laughing. Even though it was pricey, I thought it was worth it because it's not something you'd do every day.

if you are going for the show it will be a great experience but if your are going for the food don't expend much , very limited basic food they said its medieval food , the true is that is basic food that you can get them anywhere , show was a lot of fun , entertaining for the kids and adults service was very good

We made a weekend trip to Dallas with Medieval Times being the main attraction. $100 for two adults - tickets bought in advance. Got there a little early and we each bought a $20 souvenier drink glass because refills were half price with it & we expected to have a few drinks & get our money's worth. Went to our seats which were packed so tightly that in order to get up to go to the bathroom I had to make 4 other people get completely out of thier seats(while trying to eat & watch a show). The waitress told us 3 times that someone from the bar would be around shortly to take our drink order but the guy didn't show up until the very end of the show so we got 1 refill in our expensive cups. The bar closes after the show so we got completely ripped off on that. The show was mediocre - the horses put on a better show than the actors. The food wss again, just mediocre. The chicken was good. The rib was all fat. The potato was bland. The soup & desert boring. Overall - probably a fantastic experience for young kids but if you're an adult couple looking for a fun night out in Dallas spend your $200 at the Sheraton next door - it was lovely.

I took advantage of a Groupon Special savings of 44%. The line was long but moved quickly. Very organized and all the workers were upbeat and professional. The outdoor landscape and setting, scene was very good. The picture taking and inside setup was smooth and flawless. The drinks and gift shops was tantalizing. A bit pricey on the gifts for kids and get ready to drop at least another $60 on the inside for good measure. The food was fit for a king, chicken was moist, tender and flavored perfectly. The potato, corn, and bread were like homemade. The tea was good. Would highly recommend. More of a setting for couples with kids, but we still enjoyed it.

I was not thrilled about going, my husband purchased the tickets. But after being there it was entertaining. Food not bad either. Our waiter Joel was very good and worked his tail off.

Really enjoyed the show and the food was good but not filling. The actors really interact with the people and it's a fun experience specially if you have kids, they'll love eating with their hands. Must visit at least once. Pricey but worth it.

We made a family trip to Medieval Times to celebrate my husband's birthday. What a blast! We all were entranced by the falcon, including one of us who does not care for birds. The feasting (with our hands!) and the entertainment took us to a place where we could imagine being guests at the king's castle. The competitions with the knights, and the jousting especially, was very exciting. Our granddaughter got a carnation from our knight. She was thrilled! We'll definitely be back. (Go to the early show so you can get in easily. The later show has to wait for the people attending the early show to leave so they can park!) P.S. Be sure to use the restrooms just before dinner as it's hard to get to them in the throng of people afterward. P.P.S. They do have a vegetarian option that was delicious!

The show was family friendly, fun and all in all a good time. Dinner itself is a half chicken, half potato, half corn on the cob with a slice of bread, soup and a pastry. Paid extra for the bday pkg which incl a piece of so so choc cake. A small flag to wave, an announcement of the birthday and front row seats Easy to get to, right off the freeway. The only thing I really didn't enjoy was having to get there an hour or so before the show to stand outside in the heat till they let us in. Then stand some more in the crowd coincidentally where the souvenirs are. By the time we were seated I was in so much pain, and the kids a bit impatient. Wish there was a better way to do this. It's also pricey if you pay full price. Get on the website and check for specials. It's the only way to go. Worth the $51 a head I paid. Not worth much more.

It's a good show! Good experience! The food can be better. But it's worth going. Good for kids. I went with a my coworkers. Enjoy the chicken!

While MT is touristy, it's not overbearing. They ask you to be there at 6:30 for a show that starts at 7:30. That's so you can walk around and buy souvenirs etc. You're not pressured. Once you're in the arena, they quickly and efficiently serve your food. More efficiently and quickly than most hotels do for business events. You eat with your fingers but the food is actually good. Just fattening. If you want lighter fare, ask for the vegetarian meal. It's a large pot of three-bean soup and fresh veggies. You also get utensils. The food servers were great. Overall, the show is good, only slightly campy. This is a great thing for high school groups, church groups, teens, or grandparents looking for something to do with their grandchildren.

I attended the dinner and tournament with family and friends that I was traveling with. I had wanted to check out a place like this, as I have heard they are fun to attend. What I was not aware of, however, is how much you have to pay for all of the little extras once you are inside of the building. Dinner and show tickets for us came out to approximately $73.00 per person, and there were 4 of us attending. This was to include dinner (with a non-alcoholic beverage) and the live entertainment. Because we opted for the "Royalty Package" when reserving our tickets, we paid an additional $12.00 per person over and above the normal fee of $60.95 per person. Our package entitled us to receive: priority castle access, VIP seating, Knight's Rally towel, cheering banner and VIP lanyard. In all honesty, we didn't need any of these items. We discarded all of them after the show. Because we went on a weeknight, the place wasn't packed, so every seat in the house was a good seat. In other words, we would have been just fine without spending the additional $12.00 per person. (Hint: Save your money.) Once inside of the building, we were given VIP lanyards to wear, and someone placed a paper crown on each of our heads. Our group was then shuffled through a line to have our group portrait taken with the "princess" from the show. My (adult) son and I purchased alcoholic drinks, and they came at a stiff price - 2 drinks totaled a whopping $34.00! We didn't order anything unusual, just standard mixed drinks (like Sprite and whiskey.) Needless to say, I didn't leave a tip. Once we were escorted into the theater, there were plenty of opportunities to purchase things. Employees gave us the opportunity to purchase the group photo we had taken with the "princess" at a cost of like $25.00 per 5x7 print. They also took pictures of us after we were seated and attempted to sell those to us, as well. Once the show was in process, the selling attempts continued-- one of the things the hawkers attempted to sell us was a single red silk rose that lit up for the low, low cost of $7.00. At the very end of the show, our waitress walked by with a little tray and a card which requested we tip her. Given the fact that we had people trying to sell to us all throughout the show, in addition to the hefty price we paid for our mixed drinks and dinner, I thought this was totally inappropriate. I think the establishment should pay their wait staff higher wages as opposed to having them ask for tips from patrons. This isn't your normal type of restaurant, and the wait staff aren't like standard waiters and waitresses. That being said, asking for tips was highly inappropriate, in my opinion. The dinner itself was decent. We each were served: a tomato broth type of soup, half of a roasted chicken, a 3 inch piece of corn-on-the-cob, one piece of garlic toast, and one half of a baked potato. For dessert, we received a chunk of what appeared to be a Sara Lee type of pound cake. These were accompanied by the choice of a Pepsi product or unsweet tea for the beverages. The show itself was alright. It featured handsome knights riding their horses and ended up with sword fights. It was ok, but it ran a little long. I think this may be a fun event for a family with small children. As an adult, I think it's great that I got to experience this, but I wouldn't waste my money and go again. The price-gouging by the establishment really left a bad taste in my mouth. It was like they were trying to squeeze blood from a turnip.

Took the kids over the weekend and they had a great time cheering for our knight. The food and entertainment was good. They want to go bak already.

This is more of a review on the food – the main review is located on the “attraction” page. Om: Since most of our thoughts were already mentioned on the attraction page, this will be much shorter. In regards to the food, it was fine. Big piece of chicken was served, along with garlic bread, half a potato, corn, pound cake, soup…you get a good amount of stuff. The main drawback for me is that there is ZERO variety. If you don’t like chicken on the bone, you are out of luck. If you want a different dessert, you are out of luck. If you want a different soft drink other than a Coke, you are out of luck. I’m not a big chicken on the bone guy, and although it was good, I would have liked to at least have the option for a boneless chicken breast or something. Oh! And for those neat freaks out there, we ate with our hands! They may offer utensils, but we didn’t ask. Medieval Times is really an overall attraction/experience, not really somewhere that you go for the food. My Beautiful Nom LOVES bone-in meats! She was a true carnivore!!! Nom: The food was really good as we had roast chicken (1/2 a chicken), half a roasted potato, a bowl of tomato soup, garlic bread, corn on the cob and two different types of cake. (because we had the celebration package for Will’s birthday). Will is a picky eater and he ate all of the chicken which is still on the bone so that really says something. I really didn’t see more than half the show because I was so entertained watching the boys! They were really having the time of their lives and I loved seeing my handsome love enjoying the show too! Eating with your hands can be fun!! Overall: Be prepared to spend, but go for the overall entertainment aspect, not necessarily the food.

Had a great server, Matthew. Sat in Red Knight section. Food same as has been described on other reviews. He helped make it a great celebration making sure my date got recognized for her birthday. Drinks beforehand available but anything souvenir is off the charts expensive. Like a souvenir Hurricane glass? 30+ bucks? Lighted plastic sword for her son $22?? So my recommendation is stick with package and look out for extra$. One main, major complaint. Purchased upgraded package which included a picture supposedly. I still got charged EXHORBITANT amount for our souvenir pics. I will be following up on that as everyone I asked affirmed they were included but didnt know how to resolve the complaint and additional charge. Guess will deal with that later and update review. Overall good experience. Fun and a change of pace. But lookout for those extra fees!!!

So much fun! Dinner and a show. Tomato soup was really good. They also gave you chicken, potato, bread, corn on the cob and desert. You can get coffee after dinner also. I enjoyed the entire thing.

This is a wonderful venue for an interesting and fun evening. The show was spectacular with incredibly trained horses and Knights competing in a tournament. The food is good and the service impressive considering how many are served. It's a memoable experience for the whole family!

Just thought we would drop in as it is next to our hotel. Definitely a blast, be prepared for mess as you eat with your hands. Great night for all. Will be back for sure

Your meal is served on a plate and it is all comsumed with no utensils, just like the middle ages. A good meal, 3 courses, including dessert, with Soda and coffeee as well.

It was ok. I assumed it would be a little more like the tournament of kings in Vegas. Not something I would go see again. This was a family wknd. I booked a group rate and 6 people weren't able to go. I paid for the group rate because we were supposed to all sit together at one table but that didn't happen. So don't depend on them sitting your group together. We were 9 people instead of 16 and still couldn't get one table together. They don't refund your money. They only compensate you with more tickets. I live over 400 miles away. One bad experience after paying for a group rate so we could sit together and didnt get that. You might as well just go in and buy your tickets. Not much of a discount and you have a better chance of all of your group sitting together. I saw a party of maybe 20 kids for a birthday party and that group was all sitting together.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we pulled up to this place and everyone was in character. Once we got through the lines, I saw what the excitement was about. This castle was great from the beginning to the end. The staff were definitely in character, our waitress Cassie went above and beyond to make our visit there memorable. All of the food was delicious and hot. They offered all kind of drinks for children and adults in souvenir glasses!!! It can get pretty expensive especially so research prices before going. I plan to visit the castle in Atlanta soon.

I really just went because my friend wanted to go, but once I got there I immediately realized it was a good idea. There is a torture chamber, a bar with giant beers, a booth selling weapons... and that's just the preshow atmosphere. I don't want to ruin the surprise, but basically if you like eating meat off the bone while dudes wail on each other with medieval maces/swords... this is the place for you. Just watch out for the nickel and diming... they've thought of a ton of ways to get your money. Giant glasses of beer cost $20 each, but then everytime you refill it it's only $8. For life. It all seems hokey at first, but if you let yourself get into it (the giant beers help), it's a ton of fun. 10/10, I will definitely be going back again.

We always have a fun time whenever we come here. The employees and characters are all very engaging and the animals are amazing. The fights and action scenes are always great. Not a fan of the new format though. Doesn't seem cool to be in the section that has the 'bad' knight. We liked it much better when the Knights had a common enemy.

I reviewed Medieval Times under the attraction portion for the entertainment value is EXCELLENT! but the food was just as good, and LOTS of it!!! we have a 3.5yr old and an 8 year old.. both ate a great portion of their dinner and enjoyed it!!! definitely a place we will return too!

Took the grandkids down for a weekend trip. Well worth the cost! Food was nothing spectacular but not bad. The show was amazing! The grandkids loved it and we had great seats. Granddaughter was sitting right beside the queen who waved to her twice! Great family entertainment!

My family had wanted to go for years, and we finally had the chance. No place to park, and food was not worth the price paid.

went for my birthday and had an excellent time. food was delicious and plenty of it, show was excellent and entertaining. you can shop, tour the dungeon room and even get knighted. great family activity

I have been fortunate to have attended 7 different castles, but the Dallas is by far my favorite. This time I took my 19-year-old daughter, my best friend, and her 9-year old grandson. I got great prices using codes from retailmenot and then upgraded our package afterwards. As a result, we got to sit on the front row, got a VIP entrance, and a banner and towel to wave during the tournament. The knights also came out afterward and signed our little guy's sword, which he hasn't put down yet. The knights are simply phenomenal and make the experience something you'll never forget, and our server was also so much fun and cheerful. The horses are also simply magnificent, as is the falcon. The only thing I would recommend is if you have younger children that are picky eaters to feed them beforehand. Neither one of our children are fans of tomato soup and barely touched their chicken. You can go to their website to see their entire menu beforehand. However, they had such a great experience that they have told all their friends and can't wait to go back. If you have never gone, it's well worth it. And, if you have gone before, go again as they change the show so it's always something new. Consider staying next door at the Sheraton Suites and asking for a view of the castle, especially if you have children.

Even our 2 year old enjoyed it. A fun evening, for the family. Food is good, and good entertainment. We were able to just pay for adults, as our 2 year old sat on my knee and ate my food (which there was more than enough) so he was free. :)

Went up to Dallas to pick up my step daughter and her boy friend to take them here for his birthday. It was my first trip here to this type of entertainment, and wow!!! All the people that work there are dressed in the clothes from that period in history,I didn’t see any watches or cell phones on them. The arena is pretty big,so the horses and the knights to do battle, the seating is kind of tight , but not to bad. The food was very good and to be eaten by your hands,no forks or spoons, the meal was soup, corn on the cob and bread and chicken, all the food came out nice and hot and juicy. The show started by the time they seat you and seemed to last for almost two hours. If your not into little kids 3-10 years of age , that all have swords that light up ,think gift shop, then don’t go,but if this doesn’t bother you and you love horses and this type of entertainment than go for it! My wife surprised me and we drove up to Dallas to see this.

Fun was had by all in our 22-person group which consisted of a dozen 16 year old girls (volleyball team) + 9 moms and 1 younger sister. We entered the castle and were led into an oval shaped arena. Only 6 rows of seating provided for a great view from every seat. While enjoying a dinner of soup, bread, corn on the cob, 1/2 of a roasted chicken and dessert (eaten Medieval style - with our hands), we watched a show of horsemanship and jousting and cheered for our color section's knight. HUZZAH! Group rates for tickets were accomplished by calling the group sales office. It was only 7 minutes by car from our hotel, the Hyatt Regency Reunion Tower in Dallas.

The show was good and the choreography and the casts commitment to their characters were excellent. Food was ok, drink prices high and the setup to get photos for large groups extremely poor. Overall worth going if you've never been.

Our party of eleven thoroughly enjoyed the show. The beautiful horses are the stars of the show, followed closely by the knights and supporting actors. The food was the reason for the four star rating. First course was tomato soup. It was okay. The garlic bread followed and it was good. The entree was a half of roasted chicken, an ear of corn and a half herb basted potato. Leg, thigh and wing were tender and juicy but the breast was dry. Corn was not tender and the potato lacked the herbal flavor I was expecting. Would have rather had a traditional baked potato. Dessert was an ice cream, the taste was unusual. Service was very good. We enjoyed being called my lord/lady. Would I go back? Probably not.

The food and show was good! The chairs are small. We had front row seats and we barely could fit in the seats. That would be the only thing I would change.

We visited the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament in Dallas, Texas. A popular tourist attraction, with lots of fun filled energy, and school kids. Enjoy!!

Recently, my family and I went for the First time to the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament at Dallas, TX. My family and I were planning something different to surprise our beautiful mother for her birthday. She usually likes to attend Broadway Shows but no one was playing on her birthday weekend in Dallas that she hasn’t seen already. By the way, some of us traveled from Nebraska to Dallas. Medieval Times Dinner& Tournament has 4 stars rating in Trip Advisor and it was a good indicator that the show was nice. We arrived an hour before and their parking lot was almost full so we were thinking “this is going to be good.” We received our green crowns and a photo was taken (included in the birthday package). It was busy inside and you can get some drinks waiting for the 7:45 pm show to start. Previously, when I e-mailed them I received great customer service from the beginning and I want to thank Karen Reeves because she always answered my e-mails and she was very nice and helpful. The online photos about the show were great but watching the show was SUPER fun and enjoyable. We ordered beers and our meal was phenomenal. The soup was delicious, the meats outstanding and so very tasty, the potatoes deliciously seasoned, and the desserts absolutely exquisite; did I say EXQUISITE!?! So Yummy. I wish to have had a bigger stomach. Everything was deliciously exquisite and the show was fabulous! Mom received a red carnation and a candle to blow on her chocolate cake that was soft and tasty. My family and I had a magnificent and unforgettable time and we certainly recommend this spectacular show to those who like castles, warriors and to go back in time to the Medieval Times in History! Thank you to all the crew and everyone behind scenes working hard to entertaining us! You vision and mission are accomplished and we are happy and satisfied customers! I strongly recommend this fabulous show! Sincerely, Gisella

I actually visited twice once in July 2010 and July 2011. Both times were fantastic food, service and the show. We were there with the youth from my church and everyone enjoyed it.. I recommend it to everyone!!!

I'm way too old to go here but I had never been and a friend brought me as a joke/for fun on my birthday, we had an amazing time. They really do a good job. Everyone working is in character and they get really into it, which can be pretty entertaining. If you pay extra you can have a "knighting ceremony" which they do out in front of everyone and it's incredibly embarrassing in the best way (especially if it's a suspense), i highly recommend it. The show is great and the food is surprisingly good, even without utensils.

First time on one of the restaurant of this chain Very nice family show and a simple food that you have to eat like medieval times, with yours hands Lots of souvenir and photos

My family ate here while vacationing in Dallas--- I have a 5 yr old and a 13 yr old. This was our first time there and it was great. My 5 yr old was immediately captivated walking into the castle, getting his picture made with the king and getting a crown. It was a "pricey" experience-- but well worth it. The food was great-- both kids ate almost all of theirs!! They enjoyed cheering on our team and allies. Altogether-- we made great family memories here!!

Well you know what happens here. Went with some co workers and actually had a really good time. Surprisingly the food was decent and the show entertaining. Fun with a group of people.

Best event to take the whole family too! Great staff, great show, and great food! Always have a amazing time here!

Attention People! This is no mediocre show this is by far one of the best treasures about downtown Dallas! They have them all over the USA but it is truly a sight to see! We were blown away with the following. The show was amazing and they drew in the audience and kept us engaged. The Food was piping hot! For a large facility and many people to service, the food was as hot as you were getting served directly from kitchen to table. The Show was amazing the horses are beautiful and were treated well. I recommend to anyone visiting DFW area not to leave without visiting medieval times of Dallas.

It was a vacation gift to my boyfriend and he enjoyed it to the fullest. He will be coming back an we will recommend this to everyone as a great outing.

Was able to find an online deal on their website for $20 off adult tickets and $5 off kids. At full price would have been over priced. Extremely surprised kid and adult meals were the same. Way too much food. Website said lap kids under 3 were free, I bought ticket for my granddaughter who will be 4 in October. However, waitress was shocked she had a ticket, she also spent most of show on laps due to darkness and show. Between her and 8 year old brother they didn't even put a dent in 1 meal. Also very surprised that they offered ice tea, Pepsi and water as only beverages in a children's show, where was the milk?? Will be a one time experience, not impressed enough to repeat.

We've been twice and loved it both times. The food is very good, which I wasn't expecting thinking they were more about the tournament. The presentation and action is a awesome. It's really fun to get into the tournament and cheer your Knight on. This is good for adults as well as families and big parties. A must visit.

We go every Christmas and have never been disappointed! We had teens and adults alike in our group and everyone had a good time. Ismael our server did an amazing job and was super friendly. We were able to get coupons on Groupon and they have specials throughout the year on Medieval Times website. If you or your children like horses, knights, princesses, falcons, etc. this is the place to go. Give it a try its a great place to take kids and lots of fun!

I took my boys for the first time November 2014. We loved cheering for our team...the yellow night. The servers were friendly and in character. We had a great time and even saved money with online discounts!

Great entertainment for the whole family. The horses are beautiful and it was fun cheering for our knight. When you first arrive, it may seem like a long line waiting to get in but it moves quickly.

I was a little nervous about taking my 2 year old to this dinner/event, but I think she ended up enjoying it way more than I did. I thought the food was very tasty (far exceeded my expectations) & eating with my hands was not as messy as I imagined it would be. I was pretty much done after 1.5 hours (it had been a Long day for us), but my 2 year old and my husband loved the show all the way to the very end. I was surprised at how engaged my 2 year old was through the whole thing - she LOVED it! The seats are a little tight, so consider that when you opt to take a lap child. We were fortunate that no one sat next to us, so we had a little more space. We paid for the next tier of tickets up (WORTH IT) - and because of that, we had great seats even though we arrived literally about 10 minutes before the show started (no waiting in line with a toddler, yayyyy!!).

1/2 Rotisserie chicken some corn 1/2 potato and some soup That is there meal I was not impressed the show was fine but the meal was not anything to recommend

Great time with friends! Fun show, good food, good service, it was very organized. sdfadfsadfsdfsdfsdfsdfsdfd

We took my dad for Father's Day and he loved it. We sat in the front row and received the royal treatment! It was worth the extra money. I definitely recommend arriving early to take advantage of all is to offer before the show. They take your picture, you can look at the horses, falcons, shop, get drinks, and torture tour. Once we are allowed to sit in our seats, the food and show begins. The show is amazing. I've been before however it was my dad's first time. He really enjoyed it and spoke highly of the performance especially the dancing horse and his trainer. The food is good, tomato soup, bread, chicken, corn on the cob, potato and dessert. My dad is 65 and he loved the show. All of the children there also seem to enjoy it very much.

Food good, entertainment excellent. Venue very good, access for all. Children are most welcome. Staff very polite, helpful, hard working. One negative was the waiter asking for tips after the meal, but thats the normal practice in America. Got use to it in the end. CY, England

Got a great deal on a couples all inclusive package for Valentine's Day. Received 2 champagne flutes, champagne, flags and a momento photo. The food was good the show was fantastic. I haven't been in years and this time was just as awesome as the last. Our Knight didn't "win", but it was still great fun!!

First visit to this attraction and it was well worth it! The food and show were absolutely wonderful! The costumes, actors, weaponry and interaction with staff provided an authentic experience! We sat in the blue section and cheered for our blue knight while Zach (server) provided us excellent service! I noticed that he played dual roles. We noticed that he was on the arena floor at one time and then came back to finish our food service with such hospitality! The best part of the show was the smile on my daugher’s face. Priceless!!!

We had the best time here! Very friendly staff, good food, energetic surrounding at a reasonable price.

We enjoyed the greetings when we arrived from the nice people before the tournament and dinner commenced. The retail areas we're very clean and well organized but the merchandise was very pricey. The restrooms were clean and the tournament dining areas were clean as well but very cramped for sitting. The food was ok but the ribs we received were slightly undercooked and the service was very slow when it came to refills on tea and soft drinks. Where we sat we happened to be surrounded by several people who have had a little too much to drink before the tournament had started. Several times I had to ask a few of these individuals to watch their language around my young daughter. There should be a section for these types way over in the corner away from family fun minded people.

Went with my family and grandson ( he was the reason we went ) If it had not been for the rapt attention and the excitement my grandson showed it would have been a bust. Food was not bad for what it was, and eating with fingers was fun. The prices however are criminal, 1 beer 2 gin and tonics $53.00, no way. Light up sword $18.00 should have been about $5.00 and that would be too much, plastic helmet $30.00. I felt like someone was always trying to get more money out of me. Fully expected to have to pay $10.00 to use the restroom. The show was not bad just a little long. Once is enough, I would not go again, that may be why they gouge you because they know this is the one shot at your billfold.

This location seems a little older than others but its the standard show and eating dinner with your hands. Bring a pack of baby wipes.

I think that this is something that you only have to experience once in your life, but I was traveling with a teenager and she loved it

Very fun dining experience for our family. The kids were in awe and enjoyed watching the show. The food, while an attempt to fit the medieval times, is not something kids would usually eat. It was really loud and difficult to hear server.

We brought a large group from church and we all had a great time. The food was really good and the show was fun to watch. We had children, teens and adults and all loved it.

It´s a very fun place to take kids for a dinner and for birthday partys. Good food but with a limited menu.

Good Job! Entertainment, staff, food and actors were well trained. It was a good show for all ages. All of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Great job for the money. Worth your visit.

Visited Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament while vacationing in Dallas with our two small children ages 2 and 5. For our 2 almost 3 year old we bought seats for, it does state under 2 is free but you would have to hold them in your lap the entire 2 hours. When you first come in it is first come first serve and surprisingly we got there early and did not have to wait long in line at all which I liked. You immediately take a family photo which later you can opt to buy or not for 20.00 I thought that was nice. Then you go into this area where they have souvenirs a bar etc. and then you are taken to your seats. For meal they served soup, bread, chicken, potato and corn all which you have to eat with your fingers. Drink options is Pepsi or tea which being pregnant I had to opt for the water. The seats for being 8 months pregnant I felt were I uncomfortable. Overall it was a good experience but I probably wouldn't not come back. The whole jousting and Medieval thing is just not something I cared for but my boys loved it.

First time experience with the family doing this show. We had plenty of food and since my kids are younger just meant I had extra. Wish we did have a bigger serving of ice cream at the end. Show was good but slow for the kids once it started.

My trip to Medieval Times was very fun. The atmosphere was great. We bought the best seats however there are no bad seats. The show was terrific and the food was great. Now for the bad. If you want anything extra (souvenirs or bar drinks) be prepared to pay $$$.

Nice place gear toward the Kiddos. Great for one adult visit. A jostling review of the Medieval period. Horses, toys for kids, and period wear are available. Food is without utensils, so prepare for a unique eating experience. However the food was really, actually shockingly, good.

Good wholesome family fun! Very rare where a themed Resturant actually serves good food. Make sure you pay for the VIP. Sitting is premium! Food is both hot, great and fast! Portion are big. You won't leave hungry! It's the only one in the state of Texas!

If you have never been to this show, GO. It is fun. Worth the money. Not a bad seat in the house. Great food. You get your money's worth. The team work hard to put on a great show.

Went for Lunch with Friends. Its a Very Large Place. Lot of Souvenirs. Gigantic Bars. Food consists of Chicken,Corn on the Cob,Potato,Sprite or Water. Garlic Bread was also served. Cookies came after the Meal. Great Show. Fantastic Lighting. Magnificent Horses. Beautiful White Spanish Purebred that Pranced and Danced Sideways. A Joy to Watch. Unforgettable!!! Awesome Show and Good Food. Hope to go again.

Walking into Medieval Times was like walking into a castle during the medieval times! The "lobby" was like a kings court with wares you could buy for all ages; kids through adults. The armory was fun and everyone was friendly. The "restaurant" was like watching knights compete for the princess' hand. There was even an evildoer to defeat. The food was good and proportions generous. Alcohol was available too. The wine selection was average but not overpriced. Our only regret was that we did not know about this place when our children were young. We are in our mid-fifties and had fun without having kids. DEFINITELY recommend it for anyone.

My husband and I had a good time. The event brings something out in you that let's you tap into your inner wench, knight etc. My twin 6 year old girls were good with the pretty horses but the violence threw them over the edge. The violent part is 3/4 of the show. Pretty horses about 10 minutes tops. I guess it depends on your kid(s) as to how they react to the show. Had I known that the show consisted of knights goring each other with swords I would have given my kids the heads up this was pretend but we all went into it fresh with no expectations. My kids do not watch TV so they are not too exposed to the normal TV Violence. Would I take them again, No. Do they want to go again, No. If I have a 10 year old boy it might be different but my girls are girly and it freaked them out. I can only review the food from my husbands view as I would rather get a root canal than eat chicken with my hands. He said it was good. Not good food for kids unless your kid is super easy going with food. My daughter ate 4 pieces of the garlic bread as that is all she wanted. Tomato soup, chicken legs are not too appealing to young kids. That said, I respect the fact that they stick to their menu. The service was really good and the over all feeling was a good time. Just make sure your kid can take it.

The food was surprisingly good. The show was entertaining. The "jousting" wasn't as great as the rest - a lot of sword fighting really. The "black/white" and "red/yellow" sections are the best seating. It's a good evening out - but not a "must see."

We had a great time! The show was good. They help to make the night enjoyable and entertaining. We were surprised at the tasty, seasoned food. The show was not quite as much of a production or as entertaining as Dixie Stampede, but the food was as good or better.

Don't go here because it is great entertainment. Don't go here expecting fantastic cuisine. The Drinks are MASSIVE and delicious. The crowds are mixed, so you will have to maintain some civility as there may be children and staid older folks involved. Go to this place to have FUN! Yell, Scream, Applaud, eat with your hands!

My husband and I went for the experience since none of us had been before. They had a menu for vegetarians which was a plus for us. Great service. Nice show, beautiful horses. I would say it is worth the experience. If you go with kids they will definitely enjoy it more but you'll probably end up spending more. I think the celebration package is worth it if you want the picture but even that you can buy it without the package. It is worth it seating in the front, first 2 rows.

........this place has been on my todo list for a loooonnng time. Great atmosphere for date night or family night. It was family night for us. I love the medieval time....this place captures it perfectly---sword fighting, jousting, the king, and the knights. We purchased the kings package which included a cd, front row seating, and 2 photos. You can purchase additional photos and dress up in a costume--very cute. As you walk in they hand you a crown and table number-all color coordinated for the knight you will be cheering for. Oooook once you walk in the lobby area there are all kinds of items to purchase. Also there is a bar for alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. Next, the food is good-garlic toast, tomato soup (very tasty), baked chicken, potatoe, and a sweet pastry. I will definitely be returning. **bucket item completed :D

The food was pretty good, the show was long so you got your monies worth. I took my 8 year old son, he said he only really liked the fighting, but it didn't last long enough and that there was too much other stuff before the fighting. The "other stuff" was showing off the horses, and introducing the characters and the basic theme of the fight that would go down. Honestly, it was a little expensive and a little boring. Neither of us were that amazed, but it's one thing we can check off as "been there, done that". Maybe it's just not my thing, I think a lot of other people would like it.

A group of us went to visit this spot for the experience. It is a great stress reliever. The atmosphere was fun, the tournament was excellent, and I was just cheering for my team. The staff was friendly and humorous. It is a great experience for everyone especially kids. The meal was appropriate for you to eat it with your hands. I was a little disappointed with the Tomato Bisque because I was looking for a Bisque (thick soup). I think the menu should just have tomato soup so that my expectations would not be so high. Overall the food was good and it was a great experience.

An awesome experience. We got the VIP package. Our server, Marco, was the best. The food was much better than expected, in fact it was great. The "beverages" were the same. The show was beautiful. The horses and riders were exceptional, as was the falcon. We really enjoyed the experience. Go Blue Knight, I still have my carnation!

We had a wonderful evening. The show was amazing, the food delicious and the atmosphere was so much fun. It was a little spendy, but worth every penny!

WOW, this is over the top great. A great a dinner and show. Very authentic food and eating experience, you eat with your hands ( there was no silverware in medieval times) . I was treated to this as a birthday present and it was one of the best presents I ever got!

All previous reviews state the highlights so I won't repeat them. I did want to comment on the half chicken that is served. It was awesome! Not dry or under cooked. The tomato bisque soup is excellent, also. Our waitress was fast and efficient but her comments about the food being "dragon" turned off my five year old grandson and when she said the apple turnover had "ear wax" in it he almost turned green and refused to touch it. Needless to say he did not eat his meal. Otherwise it was a fun family experience.

A great place to have a very good meal, and also a great show, not many people can appreciate the horse training, or the falcon training, but the whole show it's very well put on.

Even though we had a rough start with our server we always have a good time. I wish they would leave politics out of it and this is the first time they did this but other than that we had a good time as usual. Food was good Like it normally is. No complaints there.

16 years ago, I asked my wife to marry me there. Its always entertaining and they constantly change the show!!!

I did not know what to expect but this was so much fun... From the moment you enter its a festival of all senses... I strongly recommend although prices are outrages and spirits could be sold fir a cheaper price....:)

It's very touristy and very expensive for what you are getting. My kids were somewhat entertained throughout the tournament, but were getting bored by the end. Lot of people I know have enjoyed it, but it wasn't our thing.

Kids and adults loved the atmosphere, horses and knights. Food was tasty, but you have to use your "germ-free" hands for tools. Fun times!

the show was incredible I really enjoyed my time there. our server was fantastic, there really should be more people like bill on your staff. he made my experience 10times better. I can't wait to go back.

This an fun way to spend an evening! The employees stay in character at all times, are very friendly and quick to pose for photos with anyone. The food was much better than expected(tomato soup, garlic bread, quarter of a rotissarie chicken, a rib, half a roasted potato, and a fried apple pie). Everything is eaten with your fingers(a much better copy of medieval feasts than the sharing of utensils, which would have been accurate too). The show itself was entertaining, with handsome knights competing for the honor of crown and country. If all else had disappointed (which it didn't), the horses are worth the price of admission alone. They are beautiful and well trained. A wonderful evening for families or a group of friends.

My family went here for the first time last Saturday and it was AWESOME. The show was entertaining and the food was pretty good as well. Everything was good! Even our server was great, I believe his name was Javier. He did a great job serving all of us! We'll be back for sure soon!

Ordered tickets online as we were traveling from Oklahoma. Military discounts available! Arrived early, doors opened which was great because it was HOT outside! Customer service was top notch. Politeness still exists! Entertainment and dinner was above average. Again, great fun for the family.

Finally visited in NYE , got the whole package and was fine , but any seat here is a good seat .and you don’t really need to pay more than the minimum. And leave a good Tip instead. Don’t think I would go second time unless I have family visiting from out of town that I can take . Chicken is delicious, Tom soup is bad , pina coladas are good but not strong enough 😁

Nice show with some good food. Wish we had more ice cream at the end. Our knight won so it made the kids super excited. Worth a visit.

My entire family loves this place! We come back every few months and bring out of towners when they come and visit. The knights are awesome, the horses beautiful, and the tomato soup is fantastic! Its a great weekend activity for the family instead of just going to a movie. All seats are great but we always upgrade to the royalty package for great front row seats. It can get pricey so be on the lookout for groupons or online specials to save some money.

What a great time at this fun place. The food was Delicious, Service Great, show was AMAZING. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

This was a great place to take the family we in joyed the meal it was great and a big portion and the show was out standing we bought a DVDs of the show and had our pictures takin with the king and queen I highly recommend this as a family outing

Family of 3. purchased the "Royal" package, got a DVD, program & streamer in addition to dinner. Dinner was good, garlic bread, tomato soup, corn on the cob, baked potato & half a roasted chicken. Also had one vegetarian dinner, all of the above with the exception of the chicken, that was replaced with a bowl of rice & veggies in broth... Quite delicious. The show was good, very interactive. LOTS of extras to buy from hats, cups, swords, trinkets, pictures, they really make money off all the "other" stuff. Overall a good time.

The food, drink, jousting and overall entertainment here engages everyone, whether you are on a date, a team outing, or a family gathering. The entire crowd is enlisted to become a part of, and to root for their own knight. Lots of fun!

Have wanted to go to Medieval Times ever since I saw The Cable Guy as a child, and this did not disappoint. My fiancée and I were both really impressed with the service, the food and the show. Special mention to our server Bill, he was awesome. Helpful, funny, fast, absolutely brilliant.

one of the best experiences I hve had in a very long time. I loved the food, the atmosphere and the gorgeous men on guiding the horses.

I have never been to a restaurant of this type. I and the rest of the people that went from the convention I was attending, all had a fantastic experience like I had. Jousting and sword play, all I can say is WOW! Food was great too. I would recommend this place hands down with 10 stars if I could! Phenomenal!!!!!

If you're looking to do something different in Dallas. This is a great place to go for a date or with friends and family. A dinner and a show, nothing beats that! Service varies from waiter to waiter, but fairly fun and friendly people. This is something you want to see maybe once in a few years, but great for first timers! Don't expect too much from the dinner, its just the mediocre meal and you eat with your hands! But all in all its the experience that matters and for that I definitely recommend it!

Such a neat experience! Can't wait to go again!! It's expensive but lots of fun & the show is so neat. Love the theme. Wish there were more options for drinks though.

The food and the show was great. They serve you each a meal of chicken, soup, bread and drink. You can order alcohol at a bar-like cost. You can also get bottles of wine if you like. There are no bad seats so you really do not need the royalty package. The only draw back is Finding a good parking spot and the long line you wait to enter

To begin with show is really good, the horses and actors are wonderful, that justifies the high prices, but, the food has gone downhill, years ago beer and wine was included, there was a cornish hen and brisket/rib, now you get corn on the cob, potato and chicken quarter, dessert was a pound cake, you only get pepsi or tea. Food had no real flavor and the waiter acted like he really did not want to be there until the end when it is tipping time.

We surprised our daughter (12) on our trip to Dallas. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the meal was filling. Would do it again in our future travels to any Medieval Times.

The whole family attended and I will admit to having an absolute BLAST! The staff was attentive as my son has severe allergies and we will be back! Upon sitting down, the staff asked and clarified any allergy issues and we were a bit nervous. The staff did not miss anything and consistently followed up at each serving to make sure we knew what was next and what the options were. Eating with no utensils and drinking beer with the venue was a terrific experience and all around fun. The entertainment was a blast and the knights were amazing ! SO MUCH FUN!! Get there on time as the shows happen all day-- don't get confused if you arrive early while the previous show is wrapping up.

Hubby and I took the "kids" (i.e dogs) to Dallas just to get away for 4th and frankly chose this for dinner because it was close to hotel and they had a special going. It was quite fun, food VERY tasty and plentiful (getting to eat with your hands and nothing else is never bad) and server wench Geena (?) was THE BEST! She made the evening and even when they were doing happy birthday , anniversary anouncements and they DIDN'T mention Happy Birthday America, happy 4th or anything we politely brought it up to her. What did she do? She came back with 3 somewhat red, white and blue candles on our dessert. ONLY reason it wasn't a 5 is the non mentioning of 4th sorry. You can't not do that accidentally .

When I visited Dallas last December, I decided to treat myself to a fun evening out by getting tickets to the Medieval Times. I searched online and found BOGO coupons and got the best seats at half the cost. I invited my brother, who lives in Fort Worth, to join me for dinner. We had a blast!!!! I know that they are probably visited by more families than adults, but we enjoyed ourselves just as much as the children around us. We had our share of alcoholic beverages both before and during the show. The meal was fabulous and the show just as fun!!! I would love to go back and bring my family for a night out. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something fun to do out of the ordinary. But, i would also recommend searching for coupons before booking your reservation being it is not a cheap evening out.

I made a large group reservation (~20) and we arrived at the requested time. It was a particularly cold day, and the wind was gusting to 25 mph. We dashed inside, and then the experience started to go south. The front room where you first arrive had the doors wide open, and with the blustery wind the 35 degree temperature was much colder. It was absolutely RIDICULOUS to have paying customers standing in such conditions. What made matters worse was that it seemed that they were completely surprised when we showed up. Isn't that why I made reservations? I was completely expecting them to be ready for my group, but unfortunately they were not. After standing in the cold INSIDE for more than 15 minutes, we finally got everything squared away and moved inside. A couple of people in the party did not make the trip, so rather than offering a refund, I was given a credit for the merchandise section. Now, the good. The food was quite good. the tomato soup was fantastic. The chicken was very tasty and fell off the bone, as did the spare rib. The show was very entertaining, and my group truly did have a good time. I had a friend's son knighted after the show, and it was a fun time. Overall, it was a fun experience, and we did have a good time. I just wish the entry had been better, and the staff would have been prepared for our arrival.
Such a fun place for special occasions!
I took my son for his very first visit. We went all out in VIP seats because they were sold out of "General Admission." (Although when we got there there were lots of empty seats) First timers should splurge and sit in the front row anyway! You also get some fun souvenirs with VIP admission, as well as gettting in much earlier and waiting in a shorter line than the general admission people. The menu is the same for everyone--it's a ton of food unless you can pack it away. The food is almost a distraction because you end up trying to look at your food in the dark and end up missing some of the show! Lol either way, it's a great time. The performances by the knights had my son interested the whole time.
