We visited for lunch - 3 adults and one child. The place was full and we got the last table. There was maybe one server only for the whole lunch service for the full room! We waited for 10 min before they brought us water and they forgot about the menus.. another 10 min to get the menus. Once we were able to order however, the food was outstanding. Pho, and rolls, and tea and salads - all was fresh and very well done.

We ate here after visiting the space needle and so wish there was a restaurant JUST like this in our hometown. All 5 of us (including 3 children ages 6-12) LOVED everything we ordered. The spring rolls were the best I ever had, and we also especially loved the sliders. Happy hour specials made it a really great deal, but the regular prices were quite reasonable, as well. Service was great, too! We definitely recommend you check it out!

One of our go-to Friday night dinner spots. It doesn't get crowded too early, has a pretty good happy hour selection, and good food. I'd definitely recommend this joint to anyone.

I ordered the beef pho (very good) but had to swap with my wife, who found the chicken pad thai was to spicy for her liking (but I liked it).

After being disappointed, the owner wrote to me and very kindly and considerately asked that we come back as they would remedy our single issue of being turned away at just before 8pm (he explained that the policy is 8:15pm - which is more than fair). We have been back twice and both times just before 8pm and the food is still fantastic and the service very good. I was truly touched by the gesture and professionalism of the owner and we will keep frequenting this restaurant. So I would like to amend my review to 5 stars.

Had lunch here with some friends, the food was very flavorful and hit the spot. We had the soup too but it was eaten so fast I forgot to take a photo.. but that pho was so yummy one of the best.

We have lived across the street from the Meekong Bar for a long time but due to the number of restaurants in Belltown had never tried it. Last weekend we did on a friends suggestion and we we're really pleased with quality of the food and the decent service from the young crew. I chose the Coconut Curry with Chicken, my wife the Garlic Wings and Chicken Pho. A really decent house red wine which I think was merlot and overall a very good price for a nice meal in a very relaxed atmosphere in front of a small open fire. We missed the Happy Hour but that as I remember was quite extensive and economical.

I had a birthday celebration here with husband and three friends. This is our first time here. Convenient location for me since I live in Belltown. We arrived at 5:30 for the Happy Hour which lasts till 7PM. Frist we ordered a number of Happy Hour appetizers such as spring rolls, satay, fried wonton and BMB Slider etc. Chicken Wings are the best, tasty and large portion. We were quite full by the time we ordered from the dinner menu. We tried the NW Pan Fried Cod Vermicelli Bowl, the Stirred Fried Beef Vermicelli Bowl and Beef Pho.The beef dish tastes best, the cod is not bad with large chunks of fish, I just wished the fish less fried maybe with a thinner batter. The pho noodle portion could be a little bigger but the taste is good. It could have been more seasoned with more herbs and spice, but Americans not used to Asian taste will like it this way. I also wish the broth is much hotter. The beef was already cooked when served and very tender. When the bill came, we were pleasantly surprised that the total cost of the whole meal was so reasonable. I would definitely dine here again.

Excellent food here, I had the pho and my partner had the cod burger, both were absolutely delicious. This place is the well worth coming to and the staff are fantastic

I just dropped by for a snack, and enjoyed the satay chicken skewer bowl. It was tasty. They have a good Vietnamese menu, and Burgers that I want to try next time

Everyplace I go I am looking for Beef Pho...I stumbled on Mee Kong Bar on my way back to my hotel after visiting the Space Needle. I am so glad I stopped here. The restaurant is a little corner shop with outdoor seating but I sat inside. The absolute cutest place. It’s very bright and welcoming. I had the lemonade, with a order of hot calamari with a spicy aelio and then my bowl of piping hot rare beef Pho! I was in Seattle 4 days this was my best meal. And all of this for $25. Very reasonable!

Changed management (or something along those lines. I used to have familiar waiters/servers, who knew where I wanted to sit and what we wanted to order. The cocktails aren't as good anymore, and the service more detached. Don't really like the changes I'm afraid.

The food is really tasty, I almost always get a burger, but the pho and the curries are excellent. When I have a veggie friend in tow, I always bring them here and they seem to love the place too!! Been here lots of times (used to work close by) and never been disappointed. Also parking is never too complicated in this part of Belltown.

Finding a good place to eat that is inexpensive near Seattle Center is not easy. Walk a few blocks south to 4th and Vine and find the Mee Kong Bar. We were there for the food, but it appears to be a full bar whose wines are popular. Entrees run about $10-20. I very very much enjoyed their "Taste of Saigon" which was fresh, full of variety, with taste, texture and visual interest. It's similar to the fresh version of spring rolls plus accompaniments with 5 different meats (beef, chicken, pork, fish and sausage), loads of fresh and pickled vegetables, and Vietnamese rice circles for wraps. My husband had a stir fry which he liked. We'll have to go back some time to try the banh mi and the pho.

We stopped here for an early lunch and had an excellent meal. We ordered Singha beer, Satay pho, and yellow Vietnamese curry with tofu, and none of it disappointed. They're are plenty of options for people with different dietary needs on the menu. The pho was rich and plentiful, and the curry was fresh and filling. The restaurant is decorated eclectically, and is very clean. I'm so glad we stopped here for lunch and I would make a trip here again the next time I'm in Seattle!

Three of us went to dinner at 6:15 pm on a Thursday. We ordered calamari, spring rolls, tofu pad Thai, beef vermicelli bowl, and village bowl. Food came out so quickly that the apps and entrees were mere minutes apart. The vegetable dice was ununiform and the food was adequate. Prices reasonable. Great service but I will continue looking for perfect bun bo. For those hard of hearing, concrete floors with scraping chairs and loud music might be a problem.

Coming from Toronto, it was very hard for me to find good Asian food in downtown Seattle. Meekong Bar is decent but is quite pricey for Asian standards and also is properly classified as fusion. Those looking for more home-made type comfort food may leave disappointed. The decor and interior are forgettable and not the reason why you would come here for. Menu selection is diverse which makes it good for bigger parties; Meat, chicken, seafood and veggie options are all available. The Village Bowl was a large portion and was comprised of vermicelli noodles, grilled lemongrass pork, house pork patty, crispy egg roll, a la lot beef wrap and fresh vegetables. If it is your first time visiting and you are a full-on carnivore, I recommend getting this one since you get to sample a variety of tastes in one dish. The Coconut Curry is a yellow curry made of lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, seasonal vegetables (which were string beans and green & red bell peppers when I went). They serve this with a toasted baguette or rice (Of course, I chose rice and loved every single grain of it.). You can choose the protein you want for this (including tofu for vegetarians); I got beef since I am a meat-lover. The curry had a good consistency - not too watery to drown the rice and not thick enough to feel like you are eating mud. The kaffir lime leaves and the coconut flavour created a balance of sweetness and floral & pungent notes. The beef strips were tender and portions were generous for 1 person. If they have the homemade taro ice cream when you visit, definitely give it a try. You get two large scoops of silky smooth ice cream bursting with heavenly taro goodness. The flavour is better than any taro boba milk tea or taro/purple yam ice cream I have had anywhere else.

Bumped into this place by chance. The service was good and the food quite ok. Dishes are enough to leave you full without being excessive

First time here and man were their Bad fantastic. We tried the Granny Smith Apple with Pork, a Village Bowl, Beef Pho, Satay Pho and the Grilled Pork Vermicelli Bowl and everything was fantastic. Clean, super flavorful and large portions. The only negative was the the prices were a little steep but with the flavors, we were good with it. Clean environment and friendly staff.

Friends and I stumbled upon Meekong on a cold afternoon, all craving a warm bowl of soup. This definitely hit the spot! Service was quick and friendly, there’s also a lot of interesting Viet/Chinese/Malay/American fusion dishes on their menu. I ordered the spicy Hue noodles, which was very flavourful and, well, spicy. The dish came with rice noodles as well, which I personally love.

Delicious food! The staff was so friendly and kind. Recommend the yellow coconut curry! The Meekong burger as also great! The service was quick, and the restaurant was clean.

Just a short walk from the Space Needle, this restaurant serves healthy and hearty Vietnamese fusion dishes. My house created pho (soup) was delicious. Just the right amount of heat with a touch of tamarind put it over the top. Wife's vermicelli bowl was topped with 4 kinds of pork and plenty of Asian veggies. She sang it's praises. Service is friendly and quick. Will definitely stop here on our next trip to Seattle.

Enjoyed trying a new food experence. Staff were super honest...I left my credit card there and when I returned they checked my ID and gave me my card with no issues later.

Our family of five ate here and the Pho was perfect along with the vermicelli bowls. Really solid Vietnamese food and the cost was more than reasonable consiering we were downtown Seattle.

I went here because it was close to where I was staying and because I'd heard it was good from YouTuber Mike Chen. I had the Lychee Lemonade, the Pork Belly Bao, and the Meekong Burger. All were good! My favorite was the Pork Belly Bao. I would go back if I was in this area of Seattle again. Prices were reasonable too, for Seattle.

Walking miles during my first visit to the beautiful city of Seattle, I would not stop for lunch and I would get to late afternoon hungry and in search of some good restoring food. This place gave me both, plus a very nice service by the manager and my server, Fernando. The manager was nice enough to plug my phone in the back of the bar with his charger. The Jalapeno Smash was delicious (better with a topping of soda water though ;-) the Crispy Crab Wonton were crunchy, not oily and finger-licking, the Hue Style Beep Soup was warmly spicy and full of flavour. Lots of people coming in for take out were served super fast, I was also served attentively. Happy hour has -2usd on drinks, -1usd on appetizers. Definitely recommending!

We have been coming as a family for several years. Two of our kids are at college now, so whenever they are back, this is where they like to come. We went there on a Saturday evening and as they close at 8:30pm, refused to seat us at 7:57pm. This is bad form for a Saturday evening. Especially as their website gives no warning and we were coming from a distance. I appreciate everyone deserves to be done, but it never takes us longer than 30-40 minutes from sitting down to completion and we have dined there at this time several times.

Taking a stroll around Belltown and feeling asian food, my boyfriend and I stumbled into this restaurant. The waiters were very inviting and they sat us at the barstools near these glistening beads that hung from the ceiling. The ambiance was dim but was lit enough to see your food. The first thing my eyes gravitated to on the menu were the pho burgers. I love when restaurants take a spin to traditional food. My boyfriend had their beef pho, perfect on a cold night and we paired it with pork baos. The pork bars also took a spin where apple was added. It had a sweet and savory flavor going on and it was quite tart, yet pleasing to the palette at the same time. There were a lot of families for dinner so I would definitely say this restaurant is great for couples and for families. If you happen to be in Belltown and craving a pho, this is the stop.

Go here for great Pho! Large portions and a good price. They know how to make a good broth for the pho here. Our waiter was very nice as well.

This is as much a restaurant as it is a bar although it has an excellent bar and a very happy happy hour. It is owned by Vietnamese. The Vietnamese iced coffee is delicious. There are tasty Vietnamese noodle dishes and soup’s as well as hamburgers served on a French style baguette bun. There are a half dozen beers on tap including in Elysian space dust IPA and always a favorite, Stella Artois. Certainly worth a visit on fourth Avenue near the space needle.

Stopped by to try their Pho noodle soup. This place has a nice feel when you walk in. The ambiance is a bit of sophistication with a relaxing vibe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a slow night but this gave it even a more personal touch as the staff would wait on you and make conversation.
Good value early tea near to the space needle
Picked on location (5 min walk from the Space Needle) and also due to its early opening hours. Quiet when we went due to it being early (about 4.30ish) but still had a good atmosphere as it has a bar. A very tasty pho and a decent value meal. 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 beers for less than $50 (half the amount of other our Seattle meals).
