I always love my time here. Shelby is always attentive and I am always taken care of. Gluten Free options and vegan options!! Try them!

We came for a late lunch/early dinner and were greeted and seated immediately. We asked or very attentive waitress for her favorite pizza recommendations, which she happily offered, since this was our first time to a Mellow Mushroom. We ordered a small Chef Salad, which was big enough to be shared (we asked for a second helping of the blue cheese dressing, though) and then had the 14" Mellowterranean pizza which we were going to share. This pizza has a white sauce for a base, with lots of garlic flavor, grilled chicken, onions, roasted red bell peppers, black olives, feta and mozzarella cheese and fresh chives. In the middle was a container with Tzatziki sauce. This was the best pizza we ever had! The crust was cooked to perfection and every ingredient showed its own distinct flavor. Awesome! The manager on duty came and checked on us and appreciated our praise. The atmosphere is fun and modern, service was great and, like I said, the food even better. We took half our pizza back to the hotel and had it as a late night snack after the theater performance we went to. It was delicious even cold!!!! I would recommend this place for couples as well as groups; they have a sports bar with a full drink menu, also vegetarian and gluten free options.

So many choices to pick from. They all looked good. Just went with the classic meat one. It was very good. Service was very good. Had a good time here.

Walked in about 7:30 pm on a Thursday. Not very busy. Sign said “Please wait to be seated.” Stood there for a bit as front desk person was chatting with rest of wait staff by counter. Bartender finally yelled over that they had a customer. Got seated. Ordered a salad, medium pizza, and beverage. Couldn’t get mushroom on my pizza because they were out. How does a pizza place named Mellow Mushroom run out of mushrooms? Salad was OK except tomatoes were not real fresh. Received a small pizza instead of a medium as ordered. Had to go get my own plate. Not offered water until waitress dropped off bill when I was done. In my opinion this is an average restaurant that’s been highly overrated.

Love the Mellow Mushroom, not just this one but all of them. I can only sum my experience up with a song by Elton John. "Mellow" Cool grass blowing up the pass Don't you know I'm feeling mellow I love your Roman nose, the way you curl your toes baby Make me feel so mellow It's the same old feeling I get when you're stealing Back into my bed again With the curtains closed and the window froze By the rhythm of the rain You make me mellow, you make me mellow Rocking smooth and slow Mellow's the feeling that we get Watching the coal fire glow You make me mellow, I make you mellow Wrecking the sheets real fine Heaven knows what you sent me Lord But God this is a mellow time Going down to the stores in town Getting all the things we need Don't forget the beer my little dear It helps to sow the mellow seed And it can't be bad, all the love I've had Coursing through life Down in the pass where the wind blows fast And mellow's feeling right

You never get a bad meal at mellow mushroom. their pizza selection is amazing, the atmosphere is fun, and the pretzel breadsticks are not to be missed!

The dough is soft and chewy, and the pizza is tasty. I had the Kosmic Karma, and it was extremely flavorful- the perfect amount of spinach, pesto, and tomatoes. I overate it was so yum!

Daughter had a pepperoni and I had holy shiitake specialty one which was really good if you like mushrooms. Very spacious and pretty cool decorations. Reasonably priced as well.

A different type of hangout with good grub and good service. Had a very tasty mushroom pizza whilst waiting for a bus and couldn't have been happier

We were craving pizza for dinner and found Mello Mushroom. You would not expect anything special for salads at a pizza place but their Cesar salad was outstanding. Of course the pizza did not disappoint.

Coming as a group of 21 furries from FWA (Furry Weekend Atlanta) @ The Marriott Marquis - we walked over from the hotel to Mellow Mushroom in Downtown Atlanta on Sat. April 8th, 2017. We arrived during the dinner hour, as the restaurant was busy (we had a reservation made by 'Jer Bear') I must say, I was impressed by the food received. My partner-in-crime Jose (Toad) and 'yours truly' split an extra large pizza (half meat lovers and half Buffalo chicken). I had enough pizza to give two of my slices to a young furry who didn't have much money to afford a full meal, and he was very thankful. We furries try to help one another - it was the right thing to do. Gay & Furry friendly - the waitresses and servers were simply 'paw-some'!!! This was my first time dining at this Atlanta-based pizza chain, it definitely won't be my last. FIVE CLAWS UP!!!!! Thanks for reading this review of Mellow Mushroom Atlanta. Joe G. Bear - Redondo Beach, CA

Visited while in town for a conference, and needed something quick after a 12-hour day. The hostess was very sweet and welcoming, and guided me to the bar to order my food to go. Terrance called everyone at his bar by name, asking as we ordered either a drink or our meal. He also introduced himself at the same time. I love the Southern charm! He was super engaging, and just gave out good vibes. AND...he makes a great drink! I ordered the House Special, as well as a small Caesar salad. I liked how the parmesan was shaved off the block instead of shredded or grated. The pizza was fantastic. Even tasted good the next day out of the hotel fridge. Prices incredibly reasonable. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. I will definitely be back when I return to Atlanta this summer!

Had an excellent Mighty Meaty and a mushroom pizza while there recently. Had a couple beers, although they were out of most tap beers for some reason. Waitress was nice, friendly and did a very good job. Really disappointed that a group in the corner had a dog sitting in their booth, it was not a service dog, the idiots brought it in via a big bag, just disappointed the staff didn't say something.

You can't go wrong with mellow mushroom if you want pizza or some type of Italian sandwich. They also have salad as well. The location in downtown ATL is right next door to our favorite hotel, The W Atlanta Downtown. Super convenient!! The design and decor is really cool too. Fresh ingredients and great service.

I was in town for Family Vacation and they took me here. Great food, Great taste, Great prices. Server was courteous . The GF pizza was good. The restaurant was clean. We did wait a bit on the pizza.

We walked over for lunch following a tour at Coca-Cola World. The distance isn't too far, and the food is worth the trip. We were there on a really hot day, and after walking there we were hot and sweaty. I don't know if there was a problem with their AC, but there was no delicious blast of cold air upon entering the restaurant. As we enjoyed the pretzels and our pizza the temperature continued to be too warm throughout the meal.

Great place to wind down after Dragon-con, everyone in costumes! Relaxed atmosphere, great selections of pizza and beer (and more), our server was a very cool, older woman I could have hung out with. It was a perfect end to another perfect day in Atlanta!

As always, Mellow Mushroom delivered....well, we picked it up, but we were happy with what we had. We stayed at the W Downtown but the food there was terrible (we ordered room service 3 times...we are not quitters) so we began stepping out for food, albeit inconvenient at times. Mellow Mushroom is right next door and saved us twice from dinner doldrums.

Visited the Human rights museum.Went for pizza. Mediocre taste but close to the tourist area of atlanta and descent prices. We ate the apps before taking pics. They are bomb!! Spinach dip is great and wings are good

Well priced. Good pizza and calzone. Just what you need for fast Italian. No complaints. Would recommend.

I enjoyed the Alice in Wonderland themed artwork all over the restaurant, but the more jaw-dropping experience was the delicious vegetarian options of the food. I loved the bruschetta, sweet potato pizza appetizer, and the tofu/mozzarella hoagie options!

Very good food, reasonable prices, good customer service and great location. The mini salads are superb. Great value. The BBQ pizza was really good as well as the all meats one. Service was a little slow but overall, a nice place to eat.

The pizza I had was very good the staff was attentive and the food was reasonably priced. I would eat here again.

I will give them the benefit of doubt though i found the pizzas overrated - I tried the shitake pie which didnt have the traditional tomato sauce and had it as a take away - the crust was good but not wow - the flavor was too mild and i didnt taste much of the shitake as well.

We stopped in here for a quick lunch. Being from NJ where we have the best pizza around, I had low expectations. But their pizza was good and our waitress was super nice.

Be warned that this may be the most expensive Pizza you ever taste, but it is ikely worth it. Many interesting combinations and build your own. Will return.

We were recommended a pizza place - but this one was closer to our hotel - so we tried this instead! EXCELLENT! So good, we returned on our final night of holiday as well! Server was great and the pizzas delicious. We each had small both times - and that was plenty, no space for appetizers or desserts. Good price too! All in all, great experience.

It was a super hot evening and our hotel had recommended two other places for dinner--both of which were loud and packed, and we needed to review some slides. So glad we found Mellow Mushroom! We were seated quickly and the food came out SO fast. Service was great until we got our food, then it kind of dropped off--refills slowed down. But it was still a pretty good meal. If you're looking for a good meal or maybe a place to get some work done on a weekday evening on a business trip, this is a GREAT place to go!

Food and beers were super tasty. Meatball app had great flavor but came out cold. Pizza was amazing (hot), large, and heavily topped. A+ experience.

I went here on New Years Eve, with my wife and family, we had a wonderful meal. Really liked the beer. I had the House Special , I usually order double pepporni. My wife had a gluten free pizza. Everyone had a good time. The waiter was very attentive. The best part it was just across the street from the W.

My go to when staying at the W. Good food, fair price, cute decor and GREAT servers and staff. The pizza, in my opinion, is wonderful (love the crust and sauce) and salads are large and tasty.

Great lunch spot across from the W Atlanta Downtown. Quick service, tasty food, and inexpensive. Went twice during a 4 day trip.

Great place, fantastic staff who couldn't have been nicer, lovely pizzas and wine. The friend I was with had allergies and the staff were amazing and so helpful.

The pizza was okay...I think I just made a bad choice in ordering. The spinach salad was very good..large portion for a small salad. Staff was friendly.

Thanks for taking such good care of us for lunch. The food and service were perfect. The pizza, meatball sub and grilled chicken sandwich were just terrific. We love the music and the service was just perfect!

3 of us on a business trip. One had a Hawaiian pizza, my wife had a gluten free pepperoni and I had sausage, onion & mushroom pizza. The pizzas were delicious and very hot. Nice comfortable atmosphere. There were several families with young children and a birthday party upstairs. The waiters and waitresses were running around like crazy taking care of everyone in the restaurant.Glad to see a good price place in downtown Atlanta and will come back next year.

A friend recommended this place. And I have to say it was really good!!! The pizza and salsa were large portions and very tasty.

Visiting for business, and finding surrounding restaurants very busy and hard to get into on the weekend, I settled on Mellow Mushroom for my first time and was pleasantly surprised. Obviously, they have lots of pizza; however, their friendly, fast service(as fast as can be expected for pizza) sure saves the day. I put together a combo with salad and drink. Food hot, tasty, price reasonable.

Stopped here after visit to World of Coca Cola as it’s very close. Had salad and pizza. Food was good, server was courteous and friendly. Lots of choice and not expensive. Salad was fresh with lots of choices. Pizza had nice crisp base, again multiple choices of sizes and toppings. Had mushroom and artichoke on mine. Plenty big enough to share a small pizza which was 4 large slices and a salad with three choices of toppings.

Slow service but friendly and great food. The mushroom soup was the best I have ever had. Pizza was excellent!

Cool place for great food. We were a party of 6. We had the pretzels and cheese bread for apps...salad, buffalo chicken and pepperoni pizza and a calzone. It was PLENTY of food to feed twice as many people and was fantastic. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend the place!!!

Just passing thru from the airport to the train station when we got off the buss to walk the last mile in hopes of finding something to eat. Nice surprise. Pizza was good and the salad, had a lot going on. Very fresh with a lot of ingredients. Great staff too. Hard to go wrong.

Been eating out A LOT over the past few weeks, traveling for work and pleasure, and this weekend had me coming to Atlanta for my brother’s wedding. “Boys lunch” with my kids, cousin, uncles and Dad led us to the Mushroom. Most of us are from North East, so pizza runs through our blood. All were a little skeptical at first, but I had insider info on the great pizza they have. The Mushroom did not disappoint – opting for the meat lovers, the crust was hot and chewy with an abundance of toppings. For the readers – they have a TON of different options, including gluten free and vegan…if you are into that kinda thing. The joint was decorated like Jerry Garcia’s VW Van, with a warm / friendly atmosphere, and very good service. Not only do they offer some of the best pizza, the have a very nice selection of craft beer (Tap and Bottle). They even have a unique desert menu with brownie sundae and doughy cinnamon/honey pretzels treat. This place is great for families, date night or after the ball game…oh, and you will LOVE their pizza.

The pizza was very tasty but the salads were a very pleasant surprise. Would go back for sure. We got there really late, but the service was good as well. I kinda liked the ambiance as well.

The evening we were there was incredibly busy, and it took over two hours to get our meal, but our waiter, Leo, was really fantastic. The food is typical of a Mellow Mushroom, and the decor is fun. Someone had vomitted in the hallway next to the bathrooms when we were being seated. I'm not sure how long ago it was, but I hope it had just happened and that the staff wasn't letting it linger. Needless to say, I've probably had enough Mellow Mushroom to satisfy me for this lifetime now.

We had great service, and a fun selection of food. We have never eaten here and this is not found in Nevada. We had the pretzel bites, pizza, and wings to share. The pretzel had a dipping sauce of garlic and cheese, yummo! Pizza and wings were good too!

We went here while in town for Atlanta market. Yes, we chose it because it was close to our hotel, but we went back a SECOND time while in town because it was so good! The surprise of the visit this time (we have eaten there on previous trips, but didn't review until now) was the SALAD!!! The pizza is amazing, but the salad was JUST as amazing. The service, although they were VERY busy, was good! Definitely will return!

We live across the street and were looking forward to a nice Pizzaria opening in the Las Madras space,.....but hold on. This has to have been the worst Pizza in our experience. It was a gigantic mass of undercooked thick dough and cheese. We are New Yorkers and have had the best . We threw it out and will never return. So bad. The noise level in the eatery is so loud that you get a headache just waiting for the pizza. Seriously, so loud on the phone that you cant understand the person taking your order. A franchise with misguided ideas of what a good pizza is.

Our family of five visited Mellow Mushroom on a Thursday evening where we ordered three pizzas and a calzone. The pizzas were good, but did not live up to our expectations based on prior visits. Case in point, the vegetarian house pizza was sparse on toppings, containing just a smattering of veggies and cheese. We encountered the same problem with the Wild in Havana pizza. The concept of combining a Cubano sandwich with pizza is a great idea, but the execution fell a little flat. Good flavor and great crust, but toppings were MIA. The best tasting pizza we ordered was the Kosmic Karma. This one contained red sauce, tomatoes, spinach, and pesto. Now, on to the final factor of this review… the price. At $25 for a medium pizza, Mellow Mushroom can be quite spendy. Unfortunately, none of the pizzas looked anything like their pictures on the website, and $125 for three skimpy pizzas and a calzone is just too expensive. On the positive side, our server did a nice job taking care of us and it certainly wasn’t her fault the the cook was feeling stingy on this visit.

Ordered takeout, did not take long at all. Restaurant was clean and the staff polite & helpful. Pizza was good, would highly recommend the meatballs.

The best mushroom pizza I’ve had and I have had some of the best pizzas in the world - Naples. They are not trying g to make Italian pizzas here, their classic crust is very tasty and they make the best of the ingredients here in Atlanta and then deliver with friendliness

Not your chain pizza. Fun environment for all ages. Wide beer selection. Not a quick Service place. Food is fresh, and atmosphere is cool.

I've been chowing down on Mellow Mushroom pizza since they opened in a little shack in 1974. They're big now, with many locations, but success just made the pizzas better. Great casual and creative cuisine.

Food was really good , waitress very nice and talked a lot to us. A little too much a couple times while we were trying to eat. I'd rather have one a little too talkative than one that won't talk at all though. I've ate at several different mellow mushrooms and this one is just ok. Nothing special or too good. Food wasn't that hot .

Had a taste for a White pizza with dried tomatoes. When they brought the pizza, the waiter said “sorry, we ran out of tomatoes.... they just told me”. He did offer to place another topping on the pizza. The damage was already done. I really had a taste for the pizza I ordered.

Stayed at the W Downtown and went here for dinner one night since its directly across the street. We were quickly seated and the staff was very attentive when we needed them but did not rush us or hover on top of us either. We had ordered wings to start and we split the order to get two different styles. Both were very good. Then ordered two pizzas both were also quite good.

Great Pie, excellent, huge calzone...enough to split! The pizza was not typical, and was very good....excellent service, great craft beer selection.

We ordered a Magic Mushroom soup and muffaletta cheese sandwich, large 16 inch buffalo chicken pizza and magic mystery pizza, and a steak cheese calzone. The Magic Mushroom soup was delicious, but a little salty to some of our tastes, so we added in the crackers. However, the flavor was very strong and tasted like mushrooms. The chunks of cheese, mushroom, and herbs on top added to the tasty flavor. We ordered the muffaletta cheese bread in thinking that it would be similar to the New Orleans kind, where the sandwich is huge and stuffed with cheese, meat, and all kinds of other stuff. Although the sandwich was open, the bread was very toasty and came with a lot of toppings: tomatoes, cheese, mushrooms. The pizzas were both delicious as well. They were very flavorful and the toppings were very appetizing as well. The jalepenos on the magic mystery pizza added a kick to substitute for its lack of meat. We selected blue cheese dressing to go on the buffalo chicken pizza, and that was delightfully tasty. The warm crust was very good too, it was seasoned with lots of herbs and was the perfect balance between doughy and crispy. The calzone was good, too, but not as good as all of the other dishes. The warm insides of the meat and cheese felt good going down the hatch. The pizzas we tried here are very good and if you love mushrooms the way we do, Mellow Mushroom is the place to go!

1st visit to a Mellow Mushroom. Great calzones and pizza. Wings were just ok but the other food and drink made up for it. Missing the gift shop. Not the same if you go to the website to make a purchase. Decided to pass.

Very professional staff, good beers, pretty good pizza and salad for an affordable price. with the hot temperature, dinner outside was amazing. I can only regret - I am french - that all food be so sweety/with sugar

I had the single (10 inch) pizza with sausage and mushroom and it was very good. Service was a bit slow, but once we received the food, staff was very attentive. I would highly recommend for lunch.

We went at 9pm on Sunday night and was so busy we had to wait at the bar for 15 mins before being served. Staff are friendly. Sizes are huge. We had a small Greek salad (lots of feta, strangely apple and no cucumber) Bbq chicken pizza and pesto garlic bread. Tasty! Lots of craft beers on tap. Would go again!

The service at this location was excellent. They checked on us multiple times, were quick to come by to take our order, deliver our food, and check things were OK. The manager even came by to make sure our pizza was to our liking. The pizza was good , just as we expect from the Mellow Mushroom experiences back home. The location, a bit out of the way but still within a reasonable walk from Centennial Park.

My son & I love mushrooms so we wanted to get their Mushroom pizza. It was delicious. All the pizza sounded good. We got a medium which was plenty for the 2 of us. Great service. They have indoor & outdoor dining.

Our pizza arrived a bit cold via Uber Eats, but that is no fault of the restaurant. I will say though that a good pizza should still taste good cool. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the fantastic pizza that everyone has told me about.

We ate at this mellow mushroom on a Monday night. It was not crowded, but it took longer than expected to get our food. The quality was good as always. The server was very friendly. It's also within easy walking distance of many of the hotels.

Great atmosphere, good service and good food, a good meeting place for friends not to noisy, enabling quite conversations.

Overall good food. The pizza dough is a little different but delicious. The service was decent, though other customers were intrusive. When you are not full, the staff should put customers away from other customers.

We're only in Atlanta for a week but we've visited here twice for 2 reasons 1) Exceptional customer care and service 2) Vegan and Veggie options galore Thank you Mello Mushroom x

I love Mellow Mushroom pizza and their greek salad. This location is close to my work so I go here pretty often. The service can be hit or miss at times depending on which server you get but overall it is a good restaurant.

The order took forever to get to us, which was less than a half mile away... ordered online. Finally showed up and forgot to bring large Greek salad-which was to be my meal... driver didn’t really care, called Mellow Mushroom and they didn’t want to send out the salad that was ordered... Pizza: 1 extra cheese and 1 all meat. Had to microwave... so not sure if it would have been better if arrived warm... but taste was good... not great. Veggie calzone was ok. Really gooey and hard to eat. I think it was ok because I was really hungry and didn’t have a choice, as my salad was forgotten. I wouldn’t order it again.... I don’t think I would order from this location again ): I do love pizza... so if I tried again, would have to go and dine...

The pizza here is just delicious. We had one with feta and ricotta cheese, and I thought I was in heaven. They are extremely generous with toppings. The crust was also excellent. I don't usually like to eat my pizza crust. However, this crust was light and seasoned well. It was worthy of the calories to eat it! We also got bruschetta that was also excellent. We ordered it carry out and instead of preparing it so that it would've gotten soggy, they packaged each ingredient in a plastic cup with lid. Then we assembled at home and ate. This is now the ONLY place in Marietta I will be getting pizza from!

We had the Thai Dye Pizza and it was very tasty with the grilled curry chicken, cucumbers, and sweet Thai chili sauce. The decor takes you back to the 1970s and it was reminiscent to hear soul and disco music of that era. I would definitely recommend the Thai Dye Pizza for those looking to try a new taste in Pizza.

Ate at this place because it was right next to the hotel we were staying at. It was a great meal! We had a polite and attentive server. I requested a pizza that was no longer on the menu and the kitchen staff as more than willing to accommodate and make the pie from the old menu. It was loud enough that no one was worried about our kiddos making a bit of noise. Overall, very happy with our experience. :)

On a nice Atlanta evening we sat outside on the covered patio. Service was a bit slow but we weren’t in a hurry. Food was filling and tasted ok. Not pricy.

When in Atlanta, near the World Congress Center, Mellow Mushroom offers great pizza and calzone options. We travel to Atlanta for meetings and have eaten here every time. The staff is wonderful and the menu has options for any dietary needs. From vegan and vegetarian options to pepperoni and other meats, no one will go hungry.

The food is edible. I think you go if you want a drink and to visit with friends. The appetizer - spinach and artichoke dip (easy and common starter) was not at all tasty. The mild wings were spicy and not tasty. I think one of my friends liked the steak and cheese, but another found their pizza to be only okay. The desserts were edible. We ate because it was so darn expensive, but...better than some cafeteria food. Good enough to eat it so you did not waste your money. Not so good that you did not feel like your money was wasted. Edible - Expensive.

Hotel restaurants are not cheap by a long shot. So when my girlfriend and I stayed at the W Atlanta Downtown, we went off looking for affordable grubbage. Good thing Mellow Mushroom was right across the street. Great food at a reasonable price in an area where everything cost so much. Delicious and highly recommended.

Placed a group order for 27. Everything was perfect, delicious & warm where needed. The only thing that I'd suggest is having the plastic ware individually wrapped, we received plenty but they were not wrapped at all.

Excellent food. Great service. Prices very reasonable. We had a little room with a large table for our group of 6. The children loved the train going around the track above our heads.

We order the pizzas and had them delivered via Uber Eats. The driver got stuck in Atlanta traffic so they were not as hot and fresh as they could have been. Only two of the three were super delicious. The cheese was too cheesy and was just over the top.

The pizza is great, the salads are well prepared, and the staff is attentive. Service is a little slow if you're in a hurry for lunch, but we were there with a group of friends and didn't care if it took too long. I had a small pizza and ended up taking more than half home -- you can definitely share with someone.

Awesome food. Great service. Highly recommend it. Kudos to Kim our fantastic server who was great. Attentive, friendly and helpful.

The dough they use for the pizza and the sauce - absolutely delicious! We ordered two medium pizzas but one would have been enough for the three of us. Salad was yummy too. Minus one star for slow service. Check out the interesting sculptures on the BeltLine (stretch of walkway with the Playa Bowl store) that were donated by this restaurant.

The best pizza! I have never had pizza that tasted this good on any vacation. The only complaint would be the time it took for the pizza to arrive at the table, but once it did come, it was heavenly!

Great food, great prices. My wife enjoyed the gluten-free pizza and I had a calzone. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean and accommodating.

The pizza is good, not great. Maybe very good. Service was slow and not great. Our server was nice, but forgot more than a few things. We're pretty laid back so it wasn't a major deal, but it could have been better. If you like creative pizza topping combinations on a solid pizza this is a great place. For a traditional sausage and pepperoni type there are better options. The restaurant was across the street from our hotel which was the main reason for our visit.

We had heard from a relative that Mellow Mushroom is her favorite pizza. When we traveled to Atlanta we found that there was this Mellow Mushroom within walking distance from our hotel so we gave it a try. The service was very good. The atmosphere is laid back and fun, one might say mellow. The pizza was very tasty, but it took quite awhile to get. I think it was because we got one with a lot of toppings that just takes longer to get completely cooked. The booth seating was a bit odd because the spacing was such that the seat was way too far away from the table. If they put the tables closer to the booth seat, they could probably fit another booth in the restaurant. Other than literally being on the edge of our seats eating, it was a great experience.

Not sure why this place is so popular - we went twice and it was underwhelming both times. Second time did not feel great after eating the pizza

Food was great as always. Service was friendly and helpful. Location right by the W hotel was nice. Best Pizza around.

You know you are in the south when mellow mushroom is the 13 highest rated Italian Restaurant in Atlanta....give me a break, some things never change.

Enjoyed a lunch with coworkers during recent business trip. Service was excellent and all the food looked and tasted great. Always a good visit!! Staff is always above and beyond , our server Victoria rocked!!

We walked to Mellow Mushroom and I have to say they have outstanding pizza! I had the sausage, pepperoni pizza with jalapenos on half and they got it correct! My husband got the calzone and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

I went with 10 friends to Mellow mushroom in Saint Simons Island and loved it! Pizzas were great, we asked for three big ones (house special, pacific rim, and pepperoni), all amazing with a true thick crust. Beer selection was awesome, I had a bell two hearted ipa. Great vive and great service (Megan). Will be back!!!

Worth the wait. This location has always treated us right, and actually makes the pizzas correctly versus other locations that try to kick them out of the oven too quickly.

My wife and visited the xxx street location. It was our first visit to this chain. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant has no real ceiling, so it probably would be noisy during a busy time. There is a mix of booths or tables and chairs for patrons. We ordered a 14 inch thin crust pizza with three toppings. It tasted okay, but I was not happy that they sprinkled parmesan cheese on it without mentioning this in the menu, and they coated it with oil without mentioning this in the menu. I would have told them not to.

Written from the point of view of a family with members who have celiac, and need to dine gluten free. Mellow Mushroom pizza has come up on several pre-trip web searches I've done, but I've always dismissed it for "something more interesting". I won't be making THAT mistake again. My son and I needed a quick dinner after a late arrival to Atlanta, staying at the Twelve Hotel. With him being gluten free, and me being a vegetarian, and both of us ravenous, the choice was pretty easy. The restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel..no need to drive, which was a nice relief. It was clean, open, with friendly service. The menu and website both detail out the gluten free and allergy friendly options very clearly. Atmosphere was casual. Really, this is all I ever dare ask. But Mellow Mushroom delivered so very much more. Their menu is extensive and full of creative combos of toppings. It was very difficult to choose. It would be great to go with a group and so some splitsies. There were also several enticing salads, I ordered the Greek salad, which was delicious, and of course impossible to finish. I had the Holy Shiitake pie, was an eye popping, belly bomb of a treat. My son went with the White Pizza, same effect but he was able to stuff in a lot more than I could. Since our visit, I've found myself searching out Mellow Mushrooms every time we travel. I hope they open a branch near me soon.

Came in for a late lunch after visiting World of Coke. Server was cheerful and chatty, offered suggestions when asked and kept the drinks filled. The pizza is some of the best we’ve ever had and we left satisfied. The decor is fun as well. Great clean location within walking distance of many downtown attractions.

I had intended to eat at Max Lager's but it was packed! So after 30 minutes of being ignored I left and found Mellow on the way back to my hotel. My waitress could not have been nicer and the food was fine. Yes, it's a chain store, and I get that. But I would rather have average food served by a friendly, grateful staff member than be ignored.

I attended a conference in Atlanta, Georgia early November 2016. I discovered the Mellow Mushroom as I explored the area around my hotel, Twelve. I stayed in Atlanta for four evenings and ordered my dinner for take out at the Mellow Mushroom three of those evenings. The calzones are AMAZING reasonably priced. The staff are extremely laid back and attentive (TIP THEM!!!). The chicken calzone is 5 out of 5 stars. The veggie calzone was 3 out of 5 stars. The Mellow Mushroom is a great restaurant!

Mellow Mushroom is one of my favorites. There isn't a location anywhere near Detroit (please remedy that) so I eat here every time I visit the Atlanta area. As usual, the service was excellent, and was surprisingly quick. Pizza was tasty, but they went a little light with the sauce this time. And the restaurant's location was very convenient for me, as I was staying at the Aloft hotel nearby. The 'Shroom's pizza is allergen friendly as usual, which is good, because I am allergic to many foods. Overall I highly recommend the Mellow Mushroom to anyone wanting some excellent pizza in the Atlanta area.

I’ve been to a few Mellow Mushrooms and I really dig their pizza. I think it’s the sauce and crust that really win me over. Great flavor. But I always get plain cheese. When I tried one with toppings it just didn’t work for me. Since I was staying nearby I got my usual small cheese pizza and small house salad for dinner one night. Total around $15. It doesn’t look like they are seating indoors here right now due to Covid but I did see some people eating outside. I got mine to go. Everything was great. Staff friendly. Quick service, ready in maybe 15min. Enjoyed it.

I came here solo because I am in town for a conference. I chose the Kosmic Karma pizza. It was excellent. Nice balance of ingredients with tomato slices, pesto, house tomato sauce, feta and mozzarella. The server was friendly and attentive. Another employee was willing to stop and chat with me about what to see in Atlanta. Love the decor too!

This restaurant is spacious with high ceilings with quirky Italian decor. The stone fire pizza is fantastic!

The pizza is incredible; it's pricey but worth it. Fresh ingredients, excellent dough. Good atmosphere, local business.

On the day of my departure, I ordered a pizza to be delivered at the nearby hotel I had been staying at so I could eat dinner before I headed off to catch a train to the airport. Although I have a huge issue with the delivery driver (from a separate online delivery service not associated with the restaurant, so it doesn't affect my score) who literally parked directly in front of me as I stood there for nearly 10 minutes without her ever once leaving her car, rolling down the window, calling me, etc. which then DID likely affect the warmth (or lackthereof) of the pizza, the actual pizza itself was very good. There was nearly perfect pepperoni ratio on most pieces. The crust was thick and perfect for dipping in Ranch dressing. A bit greasy, but tasty.

I was feeling lost in a big city and decided to regroup with a beer and some pizza. Annika and D were like lifesavers. Not only was the beer cold and pizza tasty... they took the time to help me find the area I was looking for and made me feel like family.

Had dinner in Mellow Mushroom during my holidays in Atlanta. It was delicious and at a very reasonable price compared to other restaurants around. Pizzas were excellent and service really friendly !

Pizza and pretzels were delicious! Service was great, too. Great dinner after a hot day of sightseeing

Convenient location for Aquarium, parks, and hotel on our visit. We walked everywhere. Got right in on a Friday night that was first real Covid19 emergency day. Friendly service. I'd say on the pricey side for average food.

My husband, kids, and I ate at Mellow Mushroom for the first time during our Spring Break trip to Atlanta. This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel (Hyatt Place). Pretty good food ! My husband had the hoagie, I had the Turkey club, and my son had the pepperoni pizza. Our server was nice and even apologized and offered us free cheesy bread due to an issue in the kitchen, which caused us to wait longer for our pizza. The Turkey club had some of the best bacon on it I've ever tasted! (& I love bacon dearly). The manager was very friendly and welcomed & thanked us both times when we came and departed. We would definitely try them again during our next ATL visit.

My wife and I took our grandson who is a student at Kennesaw State University, because it was his choice to go to Mellow Mushroom. It had been years since we had been there. We got a large pizza with salads. My wife and I like pepperoni and green olives on our pizza, Our grandson want green pepper and mushrooms, which didn't suit us. So, I asked the waiter if he could put pepperoni on the whole pizza and green peppers on one half, green olives on one half and bring a small bowl of mushrooms and with a smile he said, "Of course." He acted like our request was a welcome challenge that provided the cook with the change to prove his culinary artistry.

I walked by them a couple of days ago and decided to give them a try. I had a Meatza Pizza from them with no cheese and I can say it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. I asked first before ordering with being highly allergic to cheese. They offered a alternative vegan cheese and declined. I had a small pizza and walked out completely stuffed. Yum yum!!!

We arrived late in the evening. Our server was very attentive. Apparently the pizzas we ordered were burned so the waiter made some salads for us to hold us over while the pizzas were prepared and cooked. The salads and pizzas were excellent.

I was in town for a conference and this restaurant was one of only a handful within walking distance of our hotel that can safely serve people with Celiac disease, like me. They have a clearly marked menu that labels GF ingredients and pizzas and even specified safe handling/preparation procedures. My waiter was knowledgeable, and I felt confident that my food would be safe. The GF pizza crust is bland, flat, and crunchy. Truly like cardboard. But, the sauce and toppings were delicious. The restaurant itself wasn’t very clean or in good condition. Our waiter didn’t check on us once after brining our food. My colleagues enjoyed their pizza and salad.

Visiting ATL for the weekend and stayed downtown. Had about a 15 minute walk to the restaurant. Stopped on a Sunday night. Seated right away. Nice atmosphere. Great menu. Service was great. Pizza tasted very good.

5 adults and 2 kids! High chair came with lightening speed. Beer and pizza not so fast. Worth the wait though. Their Greek salad with their Esperanza dressing is soooo good! A large feeds 3. Pizza underdone so we sent it back, it came out perfectly. Good craft beers available.

Very impressed! We had a large group of around 25 and they handled us with aplomb! As we were walking in, I told my wife..."we are gonna be here forever". I assumed they wouldn't be able to handle us. I was happily wrong! I wish I got our servers name, but she was a rock star. We basically had the whole area near the bar to the left of the entrance and she was ON IT. I never wanted for anything. We enjoyed pretzel bites with PBR cheese to start. Delish. Then had a white pizza with added grilled chicken. It was very good as well. Our only negative was as we were leaving, a drunk patron came and sat at one of our tables and was making some of our teenage young ladies nervous and trying to chat up our group. This was not a guy who had a couple beers. He was VERY intoxicated and had a beer in his hand. Not sure if he had been sitting in another area of the restaurant or if he came in off the street. He was asked to leave pretty quickly, but not before making everyone uncomfortable. All in all, for a stop in downtown Atlanta, this is a great choice!

Mid-afternoon lunch between meetings. Sat at bar and had great service, cold beer and good pizza. Good vibe for a pizza place

One of the highlights of our trip to Atlanta. Loved it enough to go back twice. Had their salads and sandwiches.

After spending a day at the aquarium, all our little guy wanted was some mac-and-cheese. The staff went out of their way to make some, despite not having the exact ingredients needed. They were excellent to us, above and beyond. Thanks guys for saving the day!!

This is a really cute place. Menu is decent, service was good, but food was bland. I would not go back.

You can never go wrong at a Mellow Mushroom. The Calzones are to die for and the service is awesome !

We had nice service the night that we ate at Mellow Mushroom. We asked for a table outside because it was so nice tonight! We had a very nice waitress. The door was held open for us by a very nice gentleman, and he came and asked us if we were cold outside and offered to start the fireplace outside. Very good service! I had a chicken and cheese calzone and my husband had a small buffalo chicken pizza. Both were delicious!

We had 2 families (4 adults, 2 children, & 4 teenage boys). We sat upstairs which had plenty of room. I've tried this restaurant in another city and wasn't impressed with the food. This location was great! Service was fast, too. We ordered 4 pizzas and a veggie calzone. All of it was hot & fresh. It was difficult to find as it wasn't marked correctly on my maps in my iPhone. They do have a parking garage which made it easy to park.

I heard of the mellow mushroom from watching food network, so thought it would be a good place to try. It was ok. We walked in and the vibe in the place is definitely mellow. Lol. While we were seated quickly there was concern where to sit us. Anyways. We sat down and waited for our server when a girl noticed we had been sitting there for 5 minutes with nothing in front of us and asked if our server had come yet. She offered to get us drinks even though it wasn’t her table. I believe her name was Allison. So nice to us. She ended up being our server and helped us out with the menu giving us some ideas of what’s good. The pizza itself was ok. Nothing special. But not bad. Very similar to pizza in Buffalo. We also got spinach artichoke dip was good as well. If it had not been for our server it would have been a less than mediocre experience. But she made it much better

The sauce on the pizza was great. It is on the sweet side. The pizza dough is also wonderful. The salad was full of flavor and the dressing was delicious.

Came across this place by accident and glad we did! One of the best pizzas I've ever had and I'm not really a pizza lover, the crust was perfect had the right amount of toppings on and was hot when it arrived, my mum had a small bowl of salad which was huge and said it was one of the best salad's she has had! Staff where friendly and apologised several times for the food not coming out quick enough even tho we thought we hadn't been waiting long! The hanging mushrooms for the ceiling was a great touch. Also reasonably priced and didn't mind us sharing a pizza. Wish we had come across this earlier as we would of gone back.

Expensive but worth it. Walking distance from GA Aquarium and Coca Cola Factory. Staff is friendly and service was quick.

No far from Aquarium. We used Google Maps to find it. Freshly made very tasty pizzas and some vegetarian and vegan items. Pizza is great!

We were there as part of a large party. The serving staff seemed a bit overwhelmed by our group and seemed to have a hard time taking orders for those of us who didn't pre-order. The pizza looked pretty great but people said it was tasty. I didn't eat as my order was misplaced and by the time they remembered and brought my food, guests were starting to leave. At this point it was about 11pm so the restaurant apologized and took the food back. The decor is fun with giant mushrooms hanging from the ceiling. It seems like it would be a good place to go for pizza.

We came in for an evening meal but after hearing the noise from the bar decided to just have a quick pizza. The two pizza was great but the experience was poor. One female customer spent the whole time we were there just screaming. Others were noisy but bearable. Felt the bar staff should have asked her for the sake of the other customers to leave or be quieter. Nobody expects a restaurant to be quite but by the same token you don't expect it to have people shouting. As earlier said the waiter was gopd as well as the pizza.

After a late evening tour of the Aquarium, we were ravenously hungry. The weather was cool enough, that we had decided to walk around and that only fueled our appetite. When no decent restaurant seemed to be open and all hope was lost, suddenly we saw the glimmering hope of a funnily named Pizza shop (we later realized it was a chain). Boy! what a revelation. We had the Maui Wowie pizza and it was finger licking good. It had the perfect combination of veggies and generous amounts of cheese spread on top of a super thin and soft crust that was baked to perfection. The jerk chicken meshed superbly with the seasoning and other toppings. The restaurant was almost empty and we had a gala time freaking out over how good the pizza was. We also ordered a calzone to go as we were too stuffed to eat anymore and yet reluctant to not try something else. They have a huge indoor seating area that's spread over two floors. The ambiance is casual, good enough for catching up with friends or reveling in a group. The food is fresh and tasty, although can be a bit expensive. Not that we were given any opportunity to complain about our food. To sum it up, we were thankful and super glad to have stumbled upon this treat of a place.

Our server, Nikki, was so awesome! It was the best experience we have ever had at a MM! We highly recommend this at a stop while in ATL! We did a half-n-half (White Rabbit & the Freshies) and love it!

Lots of choices available at this above average pizza chain. I liked the thin crust. Very good service from the folks at the bar when I ordered and waited with a beer for take-out. It's not fabulous, but it's better than most.

The staff here are professional and friendly. The menu has a wide variety of items, not just pizza. It has a full service bar. My pizza was delicious and filling.

We went on two separate occasions (July 3rd and 4th). On the 3rd, the place was packed, servers overwhelmed and food was just ok. I had the Spinach/Artichoke Dip which was horrible and my partner had the 1/2 Meatball Hoagie which was ok. Went back on July 4th, less packed, less chaotic, the pizza was great and the service was good.

It is a very good restaurant, delicious food (it is an Italian restaurant) and very good atmosphere for both families and to co-workers. The pizzas and pastas are delicious. It is "obligatory" to visit this restaurant.

Went to Emory Mid-town with MIL for outpatient procedure, they ended up keeping her overnight for observation. I was SOOO hungry and have too many food retrictions for most restaurants. I have a rule to never eat in chain restaurants, except the Palm! Begrudgingly I went to Mellow Mushroom and got a great pizza. I ate the whole thing and had to order another one to bring back to MIL. Turns out the hospital had already fed her, so we ate pizza at 6AM in the hospital the next morning! My only complaint would be the high price.

Seating was quick and effortless, no wait time. The service was great and efficient. The food came out quick and was delicious!

Directly across from the W Downtown Hotel. Drinks are not as pricey as every other location in the downtown area. Bartender was friendly. Their pizza never disappoints.

It was near our hotel and our Uber driver recommended the place . It was super pizza with great crust and cheese! If I'm ever in Atlanta again this is the place I'm going to. The staff was great! they told us that they put a little molasses in the crust dough to give it great taste

I wasn't sure about this place at first but the atmosphere was good and when the pizzas arrived we didn't leave one slice behind. It was absolutely delicious. Mellow Mushroom for the win!

All 4 of us loved Mellow Mushroom! Good wings, salads and pizza!!! A definite Atlanta winner! Great service and moderate prices!

We went there twice while at a conference in Atlanta - our hotel was about 7 blocks away. The cheesebread, pretzels, soup, salad, everything was so good. Our first server was so fun and cheerful - I wish I could remember her name. Our second one was nice too - she seemed a bit new so was a little unsure of things but it was totally fine. I am looking forward go going back!

As a native of New Jersey, I am very picky about my pizza. We stopped here for lunch and were thrilled with our pizza! Well done! And our waitress was simply wonderful.

We stayed at Aloft for a family trip. Mellow Mushroom was right down the street and pizza is suitable for even the picky kids. The pizza was okay. I would have rather had a calzone but got a pizza with hubby to be cost effective. The crust is excellent but it needed more sauce. Excellent service from start to finish!

We went as it was convenient to aquarium and we were on the road after. It seemed like only one waiter on Mondays, as he advised us, but he was not on it and everything took forever. Our lunch special hoagies were cold and they forgot our chips and couldn’t get until everyone done eating. Buffalo chicken pizza was good. In all fairness manager did come and took $20 off our bill for the inconvenience.

I went with my gf and I and this place is the chilliest spot to eat at. The scene is more for teenagers and young adults. The pizza is delicious and there are several options to choose from. I will try looking for one in my hometown.

Mellow Mushroom is an excellent pizza parlour. The decor is unique and the free parking in the garage next door makes it very convenient. The food is quite reasonably-priced, especially the appetizers. It's easy to grab some food or a drink here in the evening.

This was walking distance from our downtown hotel so we went and had a late night dinner here...the pizza was fresh and we also had a great server...it was our first experience at a Mellow Mushroom and we will be back again👍

Mellow mushroom is always good. Good food, good surroundings and a fun place to go. Can;t go wrong with any of their restaurants. Pizza is fabulous, salad is fresh and it is usually pretty prompt.

There are a lot of choices in Decatur for restaurants and the grandchildren were not that interested based on the name. "I don't like mushrooms! Grandpa." Well they had pizza on the menu and they relented! None of us were disappointed one bit! One of the kids had pizza and the other had meatballs. I had the chef salad and chicken wings - and Nana had the taco soup. We all enjoyed. The staff was great - The kids were watching the chefs throw some pizza Doug around with interest and he gave them a hunk of pizza dough to play with before dinner - neat! As we were leaving I noticed that there many young families in the restaurant which is rather large and spread out! Everyone looked happy!

Food was consistent with other locations. Pizza and salads were had by the group. It wasn't crowded.

Went here with a big group n we were able to get in rights away. The pizza was good, but the pretzel bites were a surprise. It’s more like a garlic knot than pretzel bite but was very good. I was a visitor to ATL n glad we stopped here but would not go back.

We had Mellow Mushroom pizza at the end of a 13 hour shooting day and I since I'm "not a local" I didn't have the highest expectations - I just needed food before heading home. Well, it was great. Thin crust which I love. Nice variety of toppings. Great proportions of sauce to topping to cheese. It was good enough that I plan on eating it again. Which is saying something since there are hundreds of places to get pizza in Atlanta and I would try them all.

Came later at night around 10. Still a decent crowd. Stood there for couple minutes before hostess seated us. She seemed hesitant... but our waitress that we got was very nice, friendly and she helped us out. I want to say her name was Megan? Anyways she did a great job. Pizza was tasty we got a large pizza(8 slices) fed the 3 of us and cheesy bread. Didn't really care for the cheesy bread though. I've had better. Overall it's a nice place.

We were in town for a wedding and the Cowboy Carter Tour. The restaurant was across the street from our hotel, The W. An easy walk over and great location on the corner. They have a wonderful patio for outside dining, but it was too hot to sit outside. They are located next to a parking garage which was great because no street parking. They even had security. The place was clean and had great artwork throughout the restaurant. Our server was great. Made suggestions and even gave us directions to an ABC store and it was within walking distance. We also loved that we could pay at the table on our receipt. Great place to go and not have to move your car. The food was very good. We ordered Pizza and Wings. Pizza was great and fresh.

MM is our favorite pizza, but this location is a cut above the rest. We dropped in here after being snubbed by their neighbor Hudson Grille. That turned out to be a bonus for us. The pizza was excellent as usual, our server was attentive, the beer was ice cold, and we watched the football game we wanted. The manager was very accommodating finding the channel for the game and knowing what customer service is all about.

Everything was really good, and the service was excellent. A great combination in a restaurant. The ambiance was appealing, which is what drew us in in the first place. The staff was uber friendly.

I went there with a couple of friends. We ordered two pizzas and an appetizer. The appetizer was some kind of fluffy bread with cheese that I did not like at all. We also order a couple of pizza's from the menu, which is full of them with crazy combinations of ingredients. The dough of the pizza was too thick (just the opposite as it is supposed to be). They were "not my cup of tea". I am more into basic, plain vanilla mozzarella+tomato+basel over-cooked pizza. In table service was below average. I definitely did not enjoy this place. Fair price.

Walked here from 12 Centennial Marriott to eat and wasn't disappointed! The pizza was great as was the sandwiches. Prices were not bad at all and service was prompt and courteous. Nice atmosphere.

We ate here several times as we were staying in the hotel right across the street. It has decent pizza and a decent beer selection. The food wasn't anything special, but we went back three times due to the excellent service. We had someone different every time and they were all very friendly and professional. The wait staff brought the rating from average to very good.

I went here to eat after going to a bar that was way over priced. Since I was solo I sat at the bar. Terrence was a great bartender/waiter. He let me know there were $3 draft specials. I ordered the peppers and steak calzone for $12. It would have easily server two but I ate the whole thing. The marinara sauce w to dip was good too. Great atmosphere and friendly patrons.
Pizza was great!!
I am from Chicago where we do good pizza and I have to say this place was great! The have great dip for Pretzel Bread. Great selection of beer as well. Close to lots of attractions as well and hotels.
