First, let me begin by saying that I've tried to correct the address to this restaurant because the published one is wrong--hopefully the site will fix it now. We put the original address into our gps and it took us way out of the way. To my husband's credit, he kept insisting that we were going the wrong direction, no matter what the gps said, and he was right. The proper address (yes, I got a to-go menu to be sure!) is 115 N. Loop 1604 E, Suite 2100, San Antonio, Texas 78232. Now, I've read the reviews from others on this site and I must say I disagree with some because we had a great experience once we found the place. We visited in the middle of the afternoon because we had to be ready for a spring break dance competition by 5 p.m. This is my third visit to a Mellow Mushroom (three different city locations) and each time has been a great experience. In the evenings these restaurants are rather busy with a wait, but we were here during the slow hours of mid-afternoon. All of the food we had here was delicious! We started out with meatballs for an appetizer--my man absolutely loves these! I began with the Greek salad and one of our daughters had the chicken Caesar salad. I love salads and they must be the absolute freshest when I order one--these salads did not disappoint. My husband and I ordered and split a Kosmic Karma specialty pizza and it had an amazingly rich taste with its feta, mozzarella, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. Our other daughter ordered the cheese calzone and she loved it--even shared some with us. To finish off the late lunch/early supper, we had a brownie supreme that we all shared and I highly recommend it. The waitress was very attentive and conscientious; I only wish I had gotten her name to make note of it here.

we ordered a large pizza, half kosmic karma and half the Maui Wowie both were very good but the maui wowie was alittle spicy for me. we also had a large House Special pizza but I was too full so I didn't try it, everyone else liked it! We had the appetizer pretzels, covered in garlic and parmesan and the Spinach Artichoke Dip, both were very good. other people at our table ordered beer, not sure what kind but they liked them! I like that you can order a large pizza with 2 different fixens on each side! I would go back again!

Our food was pretty good, service was kind of slow. Oddly, our food was brought out in intervals. First delivery was for 2 people in our party, the next delivery several minutes later was for the other 2, and then the third delivery was for the sides, but we were already half way through our meal when the sides arrived. We were the only table there when we placed our order but it still took a long time.

My husband and I decided to try the Mellow Mushroom today. I had a "little" enlightened spinach salad which was terrific. The spinach was fresh, and the dried cherries, feta and sugared pecans were a great addition. I had ranch dressing which was good but a light raspberry vinagrette might be better. My husband had a little greek salad that was fresh and loaded with vegetables. We then shared a medium pizza. It was outstanding. The crust is slightly sweet, crisp on outside and chewy inside. The topping were plentiful. The service was very good. This is a definite repeat.!!!!!! The location is close to 281 and 1604 near Stone Oak. Well done San Antonio!!!!!

Walked in and went to the bar because I was by myself and the bartender who made me feel right at home

The service was great, the young man ensured that all in the party felt welcome. He also made fantastic recommendations for appetizer and pizza. The food was good as always.

When traveling on I-10 through central Texas, the modern map apps will run you directly into the heart of San Antonio, like I-10 goes. Instead, they will take you around the north side of the city, along Loop 1604, to save time and gas. As we were rolling around that way, it was about lunchtime, and so we looked for a place to eat. And there it was! Mellow Mushroom! We had eaten often at the one in Frisco, TX, when we lived up that way. There isn't one (that we know of) down in SW Houston. So seeing another one was a pleasant surprise. As is typical, it was not crowded for lunch. We had the appetizer pretzels, covered in garlic and parmesan, with the beer cheese sauce. They were EXCELLENT. Then we split a small pizza. They are great about having a HUGE range of options for pizza, including several healthier ones. A couple teas to go for the road, and we were off again. Glad we stopped by, hope to do it again sometime.

We only recently discovered this fun and funky pizza joint and have to say I was pleasantly surrised. Our service was good, but could have been better. The food was terrific, the wife had the Magic Mushroom soup which was the best musroom soup either one of us has tasted. The Pizza was good and toppings were plentiful. WIll certainly return to try other items.

Went for the first time. Place order. Server came back to us. Three of the items we ordered the restaurant is out of. Poor management. Will not be returning.

My girlfriend went with a friend to Mellow Mushroom on 1604 tonight. Score I thought! I get to stay home, catch up on a video game, while she'd pick up pizza for me while she was there. I checked out the menu to decide on what to order, then checked out reviews, seeing that business owner Peter N had great responses to reviews on Yelp, while Public Relations Manager Corey L tackled Trip Advisor. A couple mentions of under cooked pizza, but nah, that couldn't happen. I was stoked, my pizza would be amazing! Shortly after that I received my hawaiian pizza. Something didn't quite taste right. I peeled back the cheese and the dough underneath was soggy, as shown in the pictures. It was way under cooked. Pineapple was scarce too, but I suppose that didn't matter since I had to throw it out.

if you see the inside you understand what the name references to but dont let that fool you this is the best pizza in san antonio and i have eaten alot of pizza in this town the staff is so friendly and the pizza is amazing not dry like other places i tried the best crust i have eaten a place to hang with your buds

The pizza was first rate. The crust was crispy and tasty. My boyfriend had the small meaty pizza and I had the small shiitake one. Both were delicious. For an appetizer, we had their spinach artichoke dip that came with the perfect amount of bread. The house wine is only $5 and not bad. They also have a full service bar. The bartender was awesome! My only complain is that they sat us at one of the small high top tables by the bar and it was too crowded from the people at the bar waiting for their tables. We remedied the problem by giving up our table and eating at the bar that was much roomier. Do expect a long wait to be seated on a weekend night. I can't wait to return and try a different pizza.

This is a fun pizza joint. It has an extensive menu that will cover a group with diverse requirements. It has gluten free, vegan, and carnivore options. This is a fairly new location, but already very busy on Friday and Saturday after 7pm. Ian is a great server and really took care of my family.

Gluten free pizzas were probably the worst I've ever eaten. The two pizzas and drinks cost us over fifty dollars. That would not have been bad review if the pizza had tasted good enough to bring home the remainders!!!

The staff at Mellow Mushroom are very customer centered; they ensure everything is well with you and your order and continually check on you without being obnoxious. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. It's fun watching the cooks throw the pizzas. The best foods there are the mushroom pizza and mushroom soup. However, the mighty meaty pizza is nice, too. The busiest day is Friday night, otherwise, you can get right in to a table with less than a five minute wait.

I took my boyfriend here for his 23rd birthday and it was amazing! Right when I walked in the host was extremely friendly and seated me quickly. Our waiter was amazing and I really enjoyed the service there. By far the best strawberry marg I have had in a while. I truly loved the chill, mellow, environment it was such a great comfortable setting and the food was amazing!!! So excited to go back

We always seem to stop at a Mellow Mushroom when we go out of town on trips. The pizza choices are yummy, great beer on tap and you can't help but be amused at their

Average/above average food. Funky atmosphere in a good way. We sat in the bar and the bartender John was awesome, very knowledgeable and personable.

Mellow Mushroom is very laid back and fun. Pizza variety is great and the pizza is wonderful. Great flavors and the crust is nice and crisp. The cocktails are pretty good too. This is one of my favorite places to eat with family and friends when we are looking for a fun place with great pizza.

We arrived around two on Saturday and ordered Mimosa's to start, followed by Muffuletta Cheese Bread - in a word OMG oh so good! For lunch we shared a medium pizza - 1/2 Kosmic Karma and 1/2 Mega Veggie. All ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection. If you have a limited lunch time, stick with a salad or sandwich as obviously pizza's take more prep time and cook time, but oh so worth the wait if you are not in a hurry. The service was fantastic as well. The restaurant is clean, bathrooms perfectly stocked ;) Thank you, we will be back

Expensive but good. Great place, kid friendly. Our pizza was very tasty. $27 plus taxes and tip but good. Our child's pizza was ok, but she loved it. Modelo beer for $2.50 is nice. We may come back

Everything was great, except we placed an order to go and they rang it in wrong. We got a different pizza, but they let us keep it and made the right one. Happy with the service & the food.

The food was delish...just be prepared to wait for your pizza. The salads are great and the option to create your own pizza is very helpful. The atmosphere is great. Waitstaff was helpful, but slow.

From the crust to the inventive toppings, this pizza is god. I would NOT call this Italian, but it is yummy. My favorite is the holy shiltake pizza. The kosmic karma is a close second. The top shelf margaritas are very good. Much better than house margaritas. There is something for everyone here.

The pizza was decent and I left thinking that I might try them again in my home area. Then I checked my bank statement and found that the server wanted a bigger tip than the one I gave her. A quick email to the central office should have cured that fairly quickly. And it did. Until the manager of the restaurant decided that I was wrong for noticing the overcharge and challenging it. The email I got was rude and snarky. There are too many pizza places in the world to reward treatment like this with a return visit. Sometimes overcharges like this are the result of careless keyboarding. Sometimes the server really does want a little more. Sometimes, an incident like this is a setup for a bigger theft later on, as a cardholder who is inattentive to the first overcharge may seem like an easy mark. Before the manager's crude email, I would have been willing to believe the former. After the crude email, I truly believe that I interrupted someone at this restaurant looking to pull off the latter. No pizza is worth the hassle of dealing with charge card fraud.

We had a big family group eat here and we really enjoyed the pizza. We did have a wait, but it was no more than 15-20 minutes. My son got the Funky Q. Chicken pizza and it was perfect for BBQ pizza lovers! I didn't want to say my order out loud, but the Holy Shiitake Pie was absolutely dreamy! The cheeses were delicious and the truffle oil adds such a delicious accent. My daughter liked her calzone and the salads looked huge. The ambience was noisy, but fun. Service was a tad slow, but we didn't mind.

When with my grandkids for an early dinner it was great. The atmosphere the staff and the food. Enjoyed the pizza and the pretzels and cheese dip was great.

I was here on 5/24 at 6:30 PM. We sat outside because there was no seating available inside. It was cool breezy and comfortable outside. The food was fresh and well prepared. The service was terrible an the food was delivered 65 minutes after ordering. This is the first time that I ate at this location. I've been to several locations in AZ and never experience such slow service.

Had dinner for the first time (but definitely not the last) at the Mellow Mushroom. Wow, what can I say, this is a great restaurant to take friends for a fun, foodie evening. Absolutely first-class service from every employee in the place. It's rare to get such great treatment, top to bottom, from a restaurant staff. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and efficient, and the manger himself connected very kindly with our group several times. He obviously places the bar very high and sets the example for his team. Well done, sir! After being treated so well, I would have happily settled for a mediocre meal, but the food at Mellow Mushroom is just outstanding. You must order the pretzel bites with the beer cheese dipping sauce. Don't hesitate - just order it. You'll thank me afterward. Every pizza on the menu is fabulous, so you can't go wrong here. In addition to a fantastic staff and excellent food, the restaurant atmosphere is clean and inviting. Oh yes, we will be back! Thank you, Mellow Mushroom, for a great evening. I would give you ten stars if I could.

One small meatless pizza... Two salads... One plain calzone.... One hoagy... Two iced teas... Seventy-seven dollars. (Before tip.) That's a lunch that leaves me feeling other than mellow. (Even if it tasted good.)

Husband wanted thin crust pizza, excellent, ordered large, lunch tomorrow. Ordered House Special, meats and veggies Brother in law built a small pizza, his favorite ingredients, 4 slices. Salads are good. Good service, convenient lo

It's a great place to go for gluten free pizza, but the wait was really bad. We had to wait 40 minutes to even get seated. I loved the pizza and definitely will be going back. The waiters/waitresses didn't clean up the tables very fast, and they didn't get people seated fast.

The pizzas are pretty good though they are on the pricey side. Did not like the music they were playing.

Our server, Ashley was great! She was helpful in describing items. She delivered our order perfectly. Finally, a great tasting Gluten Free crust for me and a nice full of wheat crust for my husband. I liked everything about my veg out pizza. My husband wants to go again but choose different fillings then he did this time for his calzone. They use the same sauce for their calzone as they do for the pizza, if you think it is not calzone enough, add honey...they have that. The bathrooms were.clean. The hand sink was unusual yet clean.

Really good pizza and sandwich selections at fair prices. Look for the $5 lunch specials at the back of the menu.

Been to this location several years ago and did not think it was as good as priced. Went there tonight and it way passes my expectation. Had the house special pizza and it was amazing! Crust was so crisp and flaky. Topping were so favorable and plentiful. Best pizza we have had in many years. Service was great and doing a great job. We will be back and kudos to the staff. Keep rocking great pizza!

We were in a hurry and wanted a good lunch. We ordered slices of pizza, but we still had to wait 40 minutes to get those slices and had to hound the wait staff to get our check. The pizza was good, but a late lunch when the place was mostly empty shouldn't need to take an hour.

Had a late dinner here. Order the house special gluten free and my girlfriend had the cheese pizza. I have been to several mellow mushrooms in several states the service at this one was outstanding from the waitress attentiveness to the manager stopping by and telling us aboit his favorite cheese pizza this mellow mushroom is definatley worth a visit afyer a long day on roller coasters.

Defiantly a local teen and young adult hang out. Food is low priced and decent quality. Nice beer selection. Had a calzone was good, others shared a pizza. We come again.

Great pizza resturant! They have cool pizza topping combinations. Funky vibe. Family friendly. Good service. When I go I always get different toppings on the two halves of the pizza so I can try different kinds. Philosopher's Pie is a must try!

I'm not a big pizza person by any means but I do LOVE MELLOW MUSHROOM. I was introduced to this place by a friend & haven't stopped going since . I eat here probably 3 or more times a week . Everyone I've ever introduced to this place loves it . The staff is amazing . The servers Josh & Whitney are fantastic .

We didn't know what to expect, but our server quickly eased an fears any of us might have had. He described the different foods they had on the menu, explained the cooking times, recommending an appetizer for the family to enjoy while the pizza was cooking. We took his suggestions of Spinach/artichoke dip with Pita triangles and the Soft pretzel bites with their beer cheese for dipping. Our pizza was the eight slice (serving) large, made 1/2 Rib Eye and 1/2 Mashed Garlic Potatoes. I can say that nothing was left on any of our plates nor in the serving dishes. The Kitchen Manager stopped by, smiled, saying he didn't have to asked how we liked our food. He mentioned that they can do a variation by combining the two for a steak and potato pizza at no extra charge. Drinks were refilled before anyone asked. Oh the booth easily held the whole family. If you are tired of the same old pizza, you have to try Mellow Mushroom. If you are looking for a good vegitarian pizza this is your place.

Went at off peak time, not that busy, plenty of staff, after asking for drink refills THREE time I finally got up to get them myself from the bar and received assistance. Maybe take out???

This is a great place to meet friends who enjoy other than the standard cheese, pepperoni, sausage, veggie pizza offerings. Comfortable seating, interesting decor. Our visit was mid-afternoon which from a managers perspective is a chance to reduce staffing before the evening rush. With roughly 20 people in the restaurant our order was filled 25-30 minutes after ordering, a bit too long for our liking. Our order of two pizzas, the Gourmet White & Kosmic Karma both were generous in siize, thanks. That said, I judge ALL pizza's on the texture/taste of the pizza crust/dough. Both pizza's had a greasy/oily taste, too mucch olive oil, oil in the pizza dough? Average at best.

We had never stopped in but were aware of their strong reputation. We started with the Bruschetta appetizer. I've had this at a lot of places but this was easily the best I've tried. They do a basamic reduction drizzle on top of a heap of finely diced tomatoes, the requisite touch of basil, and a healthy portion of feta crumbles. All on top of a soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside crustini, this was a perfect app. My wife ordered their mushroom soup which I didn't think I'd like. I tried a bite of of curiosity and had 4 more after that. It was smooth, rich in flavor, had hints of butter and French Onion soup. And surprisingly, the mushroom element wasn't overwhelming. The recipe is clearly the creation of a skilled and experienced chef. Then the three of us each ordered our own small, 10 inch pizzas. I had the House Special which was loaded with meats, black olives, green bell, mushrooms, and carmelized onions. It was basically the all meat pizza plus some veggies. It was fantastic! My wife had the Kosmic Karma. It was pesto based and she added pepperoni and anchovies. She loved it. And my daughter did a make your own with pepperoni, ham, and spinach. She loved it too. Add in top notch service and some excellent tunes on the PA...it was an outstanding visit!

Oh Mushroom with your pizza so yummy; with long waits to get you in my tummy; 40 minutes to sit and wait; to get a slice on my plate. The pizza is good but the time too dear; for us to think of returning back here. 3 times we tried to make it work; but such frustration makes us act like jerks. With kids in tow it's a disaster. We'll wait til you can make them faster.

Delicious pizza. I can still remember the taste. Great food, but typical of pizza shops, there is quite a wait to get to the yummy stuff. Gluten Free choices available. Recommend ordering early or letting staf know your preferences to avoid waiting on the food. Else be prepared to get extra hungry as the divine smells tease you as you are waiting and the kids get restless. Not a cheap eat. So you may be forced to order appetizers if the kids get too restless.

Nice format. You can sit at the bar and get a beer and order a pizza. The pizzas are super tasty...delicioso. Service is good. Location is good for N. S.A. Strip mall location but still feels like a restaurant. If pizza is on the brain and you're on the north side, you gotta go to Mellow Mushroom.

Having visited this concept in a different state, I had good expectations for food. The result was not so great. Saturday lunch at 130. No line. Not many tables inside. But our pizza took 20 minutes to arrive. Will never come back.

Went for lunch on a Saturday . Waitstaff was friendly and helpful. Fun atmosphere, very original. Artichoke/spinach dip was fantastic tasting. Large portion and could be shared.pizza took 45 min. Even though the restaurant had empty tables . Did not like the pizza at all! Very expensive and just plain yuck... Won't be back....

This restaurant posted on Facebook that they would be dropping Pomemon game lures from 5-9pm. Also they advertised a $13 PokePizza. As it turned out management and waitstaff knew nothing of this post. When we arrived, there was no lure going we showed the post to our waiter and when asked about it our waiter said he would ask a manager and get back to us, he never came back with an answer so we dropped one of ours initially. Then when it came time to order he again knew nothing of the $13 PokePizza and said it was a lunch item since it was so and so's creation but he would ask a manager. The manager "Jenny" approved the special "this time" but we still never got an answer on the game lures and had to continue dropping ours so we used a total of 5 when the restaurant was supposed to be doing it for us!! So if your gonna have an event like this make sure your staff is well aware and trained properly, this makes for a very bad experience at a restaurant we otherwise love!

Drove across town to try this restaurant for the first time. We had pizza & salads. My husband enjoys his Ceasar salad & I really liked my spinach salad. Again husband gave thumbs up to his House Special pizza, but I did not care for the crust on my gluten free pizza. It was crispy on the edges, but doughy underneath with an odd after taste. Service was very good & they had a full service bar.

Only picked up take out so I won't be rating the service here. The inside of the restaurant has a very trippy/mellow vibe as expected hence the name Mellow Mushroom. The restaurant seemed to be very nice and clean while waiting for my pizza. I thought the beer selection was decent as they serve a good variety of craft beers. I had never been here before and I didn't know what was good so I decided to do a half pepperoni and half house (supreme). The bartender did say it would take about 30 min or so but I didn't mind since I was in no rush and had a beer to keep me occupied. Pizza: great quality, flavor, loaded toppings reasonably priced Overall take: seems like a great place to hang out with friends, family or possibly a date. Somewhat upscale by pizza place standards. The menu selection has a wide variety for people to choose from to keep you from boredom. I will definitely be coming back but this time to dine in. Recommend to anyone looking to try something new or just add a great pizza place to their list.

I'd been to a Mellow Mushroom in Charlottesville, VA a year ago so I was happy to learn a few months ago that it was coming to San Antonio. Good pizza here is, well, sparce. Sure, we have our gourmet pizza (Dough) and our interloper pizza (Grimaldi's) and, shudder, our chains, if you can call them pizza. Ma & Pa places are few and far between (no surprise given the demographics of the city) so even though a chain, Mellow Mushroom is a welcome addition to this decent-pizza-deficient city. We weren't surprised that the wait was more than an hour on our first try. No biggie; we decided to come back another time, which we did, mid-afternoon on a Saturday. The place was still stuffed (and I mean that in every way: tables were stuffed together, people stuffed the tables and waiting area and bar and ...) but we decided to wait it out. Mellow Mushroom prominently advertises an extensive, gluten-free pizza menu so I decided to give one a try. I'll generally bite the bullet for a good pizza but I figured if I could enjoy a pizza and then not get sick on it, that would be a real bonus. I ordered the "Veg Out," and my husband ordered the "Maui Wowie," loaded with all kinds of meat and pineapple (I will never understand pineapple on a pizza) and, oddly, banana peppers. I guess they fit the name too, come to think of it. The Maui Wowie made its way to the table first, and what can I say? It was a thing of beauty. Its crust glistened. It was a puffed up, golden, glistening beauty and I watched him bite into it with real envy. He pronounced it very good, but said that the banana peppers overwhelmed the pineapple. Actually, it overwhelmed the whole pizza, but they can be picked off, so not a huge problem. Then my Veg Out was delivered and, well, it had a lovely pile of all kinds of veggies (it actually was a Mega Veggie, or something like that -- every veggie imaginable plus tofu -- I believe they made it by accident and figured I wouldn't mind the extra veggies) but the crust looked kind of like a big bready-cracker: brownish and flat. Still eyeing the Maui Wowie, I bit into my G/F veggie delight with high hopes. They were instantly dashed. First, the pizza was barely warm. Second, it had little if any sauce. Third, it was pretty tasteless. Fourth, while the outside crust was crisp (its only saving grace), the inside was soggy. I ate a couple of pieces and took the rest home in a box (the G/F pizzas only come in medium so you know the crusts come out of a freezer). Since I brought it home, I've heated up slices in a pan on the stovetop to crisp them up a bit, and I've added cheese, salt, pepper, hot pepper flakes, and a touch of olive oil. It's better, but not great. A final thought about this particular pizza: Ditch the tofu. I like tofu well enough, but mushy pieces of tofu do not belong on this pizza. Or on any pizza, for that matter. Next trip, I'm going to bite the bullet and order a real pizza, a pie with one of those gorgeous crusts. While I appreciate the effort, G/F has a long way to go in the realm of pizza crusts. The service at MM was prompt and friendly, our waiter knowledgeable. I think that it'll do just fine at its new home on 1604.

Mellow Mushroom is not your ordinary pizzeria. If you like adventure this is the place. They have so many options to choose from starting with salads, calzones, hoagies & yes 600 or less calories entrees. Take a trip soon you won't be disappointed!!!

The food was really good...I mean very tasty and fulfilling. I could recommend this place just off of the taste alone BUT the staff there are just IGNORANT. The waitress who brought my family and I the pizza for the entire table asked if it was to be shared by everyone or just my husband and daughter. Then our waitress brought out two different checks when it was together. For that reason alone I highly doubt I will be returning to this particular Mellow Mushrooms.

Stopped there for lunch based on the name as we're celebrating St. Patrick's Day with our kids on Spring Break. Had a meat lovers medium pizza with was delicious and huge Great drinks with a variety on the menu. Only reason didn't give 5 stars because it was a bit pricey. Great place and nice waitstaff.

Definitely worth the wait in line if you encounter this. We usually go during their happy hour with half price drinks and appetizers. Their pizza is amazing and the portions for hoagies and calzones are huge! We usually get their House Pizza and a hoagie. I hear that the Holy Shitake pizza is really good. We brought family from out of town and they LOVED IT! I plan to try a different pizza on our next visit.

Enjoyed tasty pizza and fresh salads for my family. Made from scratch pizzas are awesome. Perfect for me and my spouse or for any family

Three of us for lunch (Thursday) so not crowded -- food good and service fast and friendly. Had Calzones which were OK but came out a little cold; salads were good.

I have only tried the pizzas. They are delicious! We always sit outside because they have a dog friendly patio! Service isn’t always consistent, but the pizza is.

Lots of healthy food choices and sweet indulgent, too. Their shiitake mushroom pizza is to die for and their sweet Thai and hot buffalo wings are succulently decadent. They also have gluten free pizza. Just a small fix they could improve on is their time. Food takes awhile to get there, but if you have the time, or not exactly famished, it's definitely worth the wait! I LOVE this place. With two drinks, the pizza, and the buffalo wings the cost was around $49, just in case you were wondering how pricey it is.

Had never eaten at Mellow Mushroom before but after receiving a $10.00 coupon decided to give it a try. The wait was about 30 minutes and we notice a young man dressed very casual (shorts and a worn down tee shirt), he was directing some of the staff. He told two young ladies to stay by the hostess desk because patrons wanted to see a "pretty girls" when they walk in. The young man was also checking in on other patrons at their tables, I believe this young man was the Manager, but didn't have a name tag that identify him as a manager. I ordered the steak and cheese hoagie and my wife ordered a small pizza. The steak lack any kind of taste and the bread was soggy. The pizza was average. While we waited for our dinner and while we were eating a family had left the table next to us, but it took a long time for the table to be clean, so dirty plates and trash were left at the table while we eat. We were disappointed with the food and the lack of service. We wont return.

We found a groupon for this restaurant so decided to try it! WOW...awesome pizza. You can either build your pizza with numerous ingredients or order one of their specialties. We ordered the Mighty Meaty on thin crust with pepperoni, italian sausage, ham and bacon. Delicious. The flavor of the sauce was great and the meat combo off the hook 😁 Waiter Cody was very attentive and personable, as was the rest of the staff. We'll be back!!!!!!

The Mellow Mushroom is a vegan's dream come true! We had absolutely fabulous wings, and chose the jerk-chicken & Thai options. We had never had other than cauliflower wings and these jack-fruit (I think) based wings were juicy and perfectly seasoned. The jerk-chicken wings even had a crispy skin. The pizza options are extensive and the quality of the toppings on a stone-baked crust are simply delicious. We had the Ahhh...avocado with a crumbly tempeh and the buffalo chicken with an amazing vegan ranch dressing on the side. As you may know, most place that serve mocktails charge as if there were top-shelf alcohols in each drink...not this place. Each of us at the table tried a different mocktail and each was delightful! We had the pretzel bites with agave for desert and these disappeared quickly despite the fact that we were all feeling mellowy full of good food by this point. Plus the excellent service in a colorful venue made for such a pleasant meal. Next time we want to tr the vegan hoagies and the greek salad. Seems like the vegan community may not recognize what a great menu is available without having to go into the heart of SA, as the restaurant is at 115N Loop. Try it!

When we first arrived we waited at the bar for our table. The bartender was a complete jerk.. Finally got seated after an hour when we were told the wait would be 30 min and then waited 15 min for someone to come to our table to take our drink orders. After that we ordered our appetizers that took forever and we didn't get them till we asked about them. Our orders arrived luke warm and incomplete, pizza was so, so. If you want good authentic pizza and you going to pay this price then go to Dough. Another thing that was really annoying was that tha table next to us had more people in their party arrived after we did and received their food before us by about 20 min. All in all I would not recommend this restaurant . The owner was nice but it was to little to late. Save your money or go to Dough or Grimaldis, Actually Dominoes can beat this place.

Thanks to TripAdvisor we went here. Our waiter was super chill and made some good recommendations. It was good pizza for the price.

My husband visited a Mellow Mushroom in a different state and raved about the pizza. We decided to try this one with a friend and their kids. The place was not busy at all, but it took 45 minutes to get our food out. The most complicated thing we ordered was a gluten free pizza, but everything else was pretty straightforward: a cheese pizza and a calzone. If you have the time to kill, go ahead, but if you have 8 kids with you who were hungry, this might not be the place to go.

Great for vegetarians and vegans alike!! We aren’t vegan but my husband has a dairy allergy and he looooooves pizza. This place is a must for all our San Antonio visits! Beware: crust also has a dusting of butter and parmesan so ask to skip this if you too have a dairy allergy.

Wife & I have been eating pizza for 62 years. We try pizza places all over San Antonio and Boerne, TX. The "mushroom" is the best we have found. They can get a little heavy with the sauce, so if you like less...just ask. Service is always fast and friendly. It is a drive for us to come over to their place from Boerne...but well worth it. Only possible draw back is the very, very loud music. .Asking them to turn it down does not work.

We (family of 4) ate here twice on our holiday to San Antonio and we loved it. The pizzas are delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. Our daughter, who has multiple food allergies including milk/dairy, was able to enjoy pizza with vegan cheese and we felt safe and confident that the staff were knowledgeable about food allergies. Both kids loved that they could control exactly what was on their pizzas.

The Mellow Mushroom without a doubt has the absolute best thin crust pizza I have ever had! I have yet to try the regular crust but I will definitley go back to try it, as well as the many other selections offered in their awesome menu. Hoagies, Calzones and Salads, Oh My! A wonderful kids menu, munchie selections plus a variety of sweet delights and a fine offering of standard and creative libation selections. If you are in San Antonio, do you taste buds a favor and treat them to the Mellow Mushroom! You will not be sorry. Oh, and they also have specialty days and nights!

We always enjoy Mellow Mushroom! Glad it’s a short drive from home for our ToGo orders. Shoutout to Jackson for the friendly and helpful service!

Our waitress was great, the place has great atmosphere, but overall we were not real fans of the pizza. That, of course, is just personal preference, but I don't think we would probably eat here again. The crust was the turn off. It is hard to describe why, but it just wasn't our thing. The gluten-free pizza was OK, though. Pretty standard, and likely made from a frozen crust, but it was alright.

We had never eaten at a Mellow Mushroom before but had always noticed that this particular restaurant was within walking distance of the Drury Plaza North on Highway 1604 where we always stay. We decided to give it a try one evening after having spent the day doing all the tourist sight seeing. The pizza was great and the atmosphere was very friendly and inviting. It has a full service bar without the bar crowd. Many families were in and this particular night had a trivia contest going on. We had pizza, salad, and a few adult refreshments. Tab was much less than expected and just a short walk back to our hotel. Will definitely place this on my San Antonio visit list when we come back

Happy Hour -at the Bar- Mellow Mushroom. Each time I have been there; the staff is friendly, and right on the spot no matter how busy. Their happy hour specials are great. Half priced drinks and appetizers. The bar area is well laid out with seating at the bar and high tables in the area. Happy Hour stops at 7:00 The pizzas look fanatic, I have not had one yet.

I was easily ready for some "mellow" while having a late Saturday lunch, but that was not to be had. Ankle-biters to the left of me. Rug-rats to the right of me. Turf munchers in front of me.screaming and thundering. It was a certain death for a light brigade of peaceful pizza-joint palaver.. We decided to ride out the waves of decibel sinusoidal undulation and ordered an appetizer of artichoke and spinach dip as we had been notified that the pizzas were made to order and would take about 25 - 30 minutes. None of this throw the dough, spread and apply toppings, then a quick thrust into a 600 degree oven for a 10 minute gourmet pizza at the $25 toll for a large. Uh-uh. it was a full 35 minutes before our pizza was served. Some special added culinary technique? . . . or maybe just the lack of it . . ... or maybe just a marketing technique to get you to order more food! Meanwhile, the appetizer was brought to the table. There were slices of what appeared to be wheat toast served with a ramekin consisting mostly of spinach and almost indiscernible artichoke pieces bound together with a peanut butter consistency lob-lolly of Philadelphia cream cheese. The waitress was good enough to remove it and bring a Caesar salad instead which was a welcomed and much improved substitute for something to munch on while the pizza making for our "meat lovers" went through its paces. We dodged the shrills and thrills from the tumultuous tables around us and the Saturday let's-all-scream bunch until our pizza finally made its appearance served by a bun-headed millennial waiter; nice! The pizza dough seemed to be the same not white/ but not wheat dough that the appetizer toast had been made of. It was thinly crunchy on the bottom, very light sauce in both taste and application (sauce lovers are advised to double up), meats that were decent in flavor as was the cheese. All together, a decent pizza. However, now this is probably just personal mind you, but the sum of the ingredients lacked some spice, flavor or nuance that downgraded the overall pizza experience for us. It may have been the cheese - used to fresh mozzarella (or Fontina, or Provolone, or etc.) - or it may have been the dough - used to 00 white flour . Whatever it was, the pizza taste was just a step above most chains from Papa John's to Pizza Hut with the exception of a few like Grimaldi's which is closer to the same price on pizza.. Regardless, we were glad that we had used a Groupon to try the place out. I would definitely recommend the place though for families and any manner of ill mannered rapscallions as well as (almost) well behaved little angels. Both should be right at home on a randy family roustabout of a Saturday afternoon. They will probably never notice any of my less-than-perfect food observations either.

I really like the beer selection. That is a plus for sure. Mellow Mushroom feels just like any one of the hundred other bar and “neighborhood eats” type of restaurants all around. Maybe trying a bit too hard to emanate some “trendy hipster” type of vibe.... Pizza is good. We had three pizzas for three people and two of us were happy with our meal. Glad we stopped, we will probably try somewhere else next time we are in town.

We ordered a large think crust italian sausage, black olive & mushroom pizza. The crust was not crispy and we had to look really close to find the couple pieces of sausage. The pizza wasn't bad, but wasn't great. I ordered a beer that was served in a brandy snifter looking glass that probably held 8-10 ounces. Like I said, not bad, but we won't be back.

This was not my first time eating at a Mellow Mushroom, however, as always it was delicious. I ordered their house special pizza which is loaded with a ton of toppings. We also ordered their pretzels with beer cheese which is also fantastic. The pizza is definitely unique and it would be unfair to compare it any other I have tried. When in town and looking for a casual place with good pizza definitely try this place out. You won't be disappointed.

Mellow Mushroom is a great place to gather with friends or family for a pizza party. Because you can get pizzas that are half and half, we shared two large pizzas and got to try four of their awesome pies. Each one was perfectly prepared and the sauces and ingredients were fresh and well flavored. We have gone back twice now and each visit just gets better and better. Give it a try!

I love the pizza here. The atmosphere is very fun and you can smell the pizza right when you walk in. I always order an appetizer, because the pizza is all made to order it can be a little bit of a wait but it is worth it. I recommend the red skin potato pie.

Finally, I had the opportunity to get the full experience of this restaurant. I enjoyed dinner Sunday night with my husband and six year old daughter. We were seated almost immediately, and our waitress, Cherish, was attentive, bubbly, pleasant and full of smiles. We will have to request her again. My six year old daughter fell in love with you, Cherish. You ROCK!!! What I noticed that is not usual, is the owner, Peter, and his GM, Trent, were there working hard on a Sunday night. I know them by name because they greeted me and my family at our table. These people care about their customers and were very down to earth. It was great to meet them. During our meal, Trent not only made sure to fill up my husbands tea when he noticed it was empty, but he was all over the group next to us. It is very rare to see GMs working on a Sunday night, helping their servers. Needless to say, the service was phenomenal. It's the little things, like making sure your customers drinks are not empty and taking time to introduce yourself. The atmosphere is mellow, intimate and the lighting is perfect. There were flat screen tvs right above us with a football game on. That's a plus for my husband. The restaurant was very clean, in fact they actually flip the tables to ensure it's clean under it. The restroom was clean, but it smelled funky in there. It's a "flush room", what should I expect? But really, maybe they should put one of those automatic scent machines in there. Phew.... lol. There is an awesome mural painted on the walls of the restaurant. I really like how it fits in with the theme of this place. It's cool, funky, and hip. The restaurant is not huge, which I like, and there is a full bar. I really, really like how the kitchen is not hidden behind closed doors. You can watch them make your pizza, there is nothing for them to hide. And, if you want to order gluten free, there is a completely separate area of the kitchen where it's prepared. That's great, and to me, it shows they care. As for the food...I can't begin to tell you how happy my mouth was, and my family's mouths too. Everything was fresh. I really appreciate how we were told how long the pizza would take, about 30 minutes. It gave us an opportunity to try a delicious appetizer. And, there's much more than just pizza here. We had the most amazing spinach dip. It was served hot, cheesy, incredibly creamy, and my six year old couldn't get enough of it. To dip, it was served with mouth watering, seasoned crunchy bread pieces. We also had the soft, freshly baked pita chips. And, when we asked for more pita chips, it came hot out of the oven. I also ordered this amazing spinach salad. The presentation was so pretty, I almost didn't want to eat it, instead I took pictures of it, in fact, I took pictures of all the food and posted them. This salad was served with apple pieces, candied walnuts, cranberries, feta cheese, and a delicious vinaigrette dressing. For our main course, it was a tough decision, but we went with their large Philosopher's Pie. I can't explain how delicious it was. The crust was not too thick, it was thin, but perfect. For the price, it would have been nice to have more steak pieces on it. I had two slices of pizza, and only tasted about two small pieces of steaks between the two slices. Just a tip. And, I had an ice cold beer to wash it down. But overall we were pleased with the pizza. It was different, and nothing we've ever had. For our dessert, OMG! OH MY GEEEEE.......!!!!!! My husband and daughter both ordered their own sundaes with a warm brownie on the bottom and topped with their homemade whipped cream. The vanilla bean ice cream is Breyer's, so good. I had the key lime pie. It was delicious and that also was topped with homemade whipped cream. The pie had the right amount of tartness and was sweet tasting. If you're looking for a casual night out and want something different rather than your average Domino's pizza, come to Mellow Mushroom. Mellow Mushroom puts Domino's to shame. Their pizzas are very different, and delicious, and the service is excellent. Be sure to ask for Cherish, but I'm sure all the servers are great. In fact, my daughter had a lovely conversation with a guy in a purple shirt. They were in deep conversation about his 2 year old daughter, and how Friday is ice cream day at my daughter's school. Thanks for taking the time to converse with my child. I'm definitely going to have to return for lunch with my daughter and dinner with the family again in the near future

I ate at Mellow Mushroom in New Orleans and loved it. In San Antonio, not so much. The service was not bad, but slow, and the food was just ok. I don't think I'd visit this location again. The food also took quite a while to come out, and it was not very busy.

Mellow Mushroom was suppper good! We ordered wings, got em naked and had their mild and hot sauce on the side. Very good wings even naked. They had a good grilled taste to em unlike other places where they taste all greasy. My fiance had a pepperoni and cheese pizza which she loved and I ordered the Buffalo Chicken. Both pizzas were personal and filling. They were cut into 4 good sized slices, which got me full by the 2nd slice. Overall, great pizza place and environment. Our waitress, Sunshine, was great and provided exceptional service.

really? the soup was served cold? no one in the kitchen knows what temperature the food is being served at? scary thought. While the soup was tasty, it lost a lot of its "magic" after being served cold. The small gourmet white pizza was not bad. I thought the pizza crust was chewy and not crunchy. all the servers were nice and kept our water glasses filled. Not a place I would return to or recommend.

I totally enjoyed my order of their veggitiarian pizza with gluten free crust. It was made very fresh with fresh ingredients. The crust had a great flavor for a non-wheat crust. BTW, the place had a very clean restroom. This is something I think is important.

Pizza is exceptionally good and they have a full bar. Pizzas are bigger than you think they are when ordering. Only negative was the hostess was having a bad day and a bit crabby. First time eating there, but we order out often.

Long wait to get in. Long wait to get your food. Crowded & loud. Bathroom - atrocious. Pizzas are slightly above average. The decor is pretty cool, though. For the same amount of money, I'd rather go to Grimaldi's or Fralo's.

We actually tried this place out because I had gotten a really great deal on Groupon. We took our family here and all of our food was delicious. A large pizza is going to be about $28.00. We got one whole meatball sub that my kids split, and they also got one soup and one salad which was about 5.00 each. My hubby and teen got a calZone each and I got a half sandwich and chips. We all got water to drink. I bill was 62.00. The food was fresh and worth the wait. I think we will be back, but maybe as a date night. Service was excellent.

Food is top notch! Pizza: great crust, moist on inside, parmesan seasoned, great toppings, unique pies. Good service. About 20 minutes for a delicious pie. Ambience at this location is a bit loud. Good draft beer selection.

We have been here several times before but with the weather and a brand new truck didn’t want to go too far and Alamo Ranch was not an option so we opted for here because it never disappoints! It had been about 2 years since we last went, not because of issues but because of busy schedules a new baby and life. Service was on point as usual! We opted for hoagies this time instead of pizza, though probably won’t go that route again...just not our thing. At the end of the meal the Manager Shay comes up and asks me was everything ok this time— I was puzzled. I said yes it was great. A few moments later we spoke again and realized 2 years back we had a slight issue with something and he corrected it right then— we had not been back! For this man to not only remember us, but that we had an issue with something after 2 years just blew me away! This is the level of care and concern that goes into this facility and its staff! You can’t go wrong here! They will always have our business!

Tried the Mellow Mushroom based on a friends recommendation and was very very pleasantly surprised! The pizza was outstanding, the service impeccable, and the was served promptly. The pizza was one of the best I have ever had and I've been eating pizza for a lot of years! The Holy Shiitake Pie is outstanding. This was a family affair and we all enjoyed our meal and made a pledge to "go again!" BTW, the beer selection was superb!

We usually get this as takeout when we do not feel like cooking! we get the house pizza and it is great, the only downside to MM is it is a little pricey. Other than that, great atmosphere and food!

Visited early Saturday night. No wait to be seated. Ordered their version of Hawaiian and margherita pizzas. Latter far more salty than the first. Hawaiian style was preferred by all at the table. About a 20-minute wait to get these pizzas. Somewhat expensive--$20 for 12-inch pizza. Service was pleasant and attentive. Coming back? Maybe if in the area.

Been to this place before and decided to go back for a family birthday. They had a trivia game going on with an announcer that was way too loud. I asked them to turn down the amplifier so we could talk without screaming. Waitress eventually said she would ask, but they did not lower it. I asked them to move us away from the contest which she finally did. It took over an hour and a half to get our order which was not as good as before. Overall, it took over 2 hours to order and eat 2 pizzas before we got to leave. They did give a birthday cookie. No manager followed up on our issues. They were way more concerned about the contest instead of their customers. Very disappointing visit and doubtful we will visit again.

The server was polite and prompt but the food took a very long time to prepare and it wasn't very good. There was a total of ten people in the restaurant, not counting staff. It shouldn't take 35 minutes to make a pizza. When the pizza finally did show up it wasn't very good. The crust was soggy in the middle and the sauce was thinned out and tasted sweet. I've been to a number of mellow mushrooms around the country and they have always been great. This one was crap. If it wasn't for the server it would only get one star. The bizarre rave music blaring over my head didn't add anything good to the experience. Won't be going back.

From NC to SA the Mellow is always soooooo good! Bruschetta appetizers are light and delicious. The gourmet pizza is perfect for date night. We’ve tried the House Special/Kosmic Karma/Mushroom/ Hoagies and hands down they all have some new taste combo that we didn’t expect. From pesto to caramelized onions and garlic sauce etc. The bar has the best local beers! You will enjoy the environment and the food!

Ate here twice in last week. Love mellow mushroom in charleston so had to try it out here. First time we had "holy shitaake" pizza. Excellent and every thing was perfect. The second time we went on a Sunday night and the place was half full. We waited 1 1/2 hours for "mellowteranean" "megaveggie" and "meat special". All were good, but we had to take it to go in a box, because I had to get my nephew back to base before curfew. We told the waitress about our time constraints and she couldn't hurry them along. Pizza is a 5. Management of restaurant is a 1.

Service was good as was the atmosphere of the new Mellow Mushroom located easily off the access of the north side of 1604. The restaurant seems to be the old EZ's Pizzeria with new decorations. Overall the experience was good. The waitress warned us that the pizza would take 20 minutes and we were not in a hurry. My only complaint was that I just have a hard time justifying $18.00 (before tip) for a medium pizza. It was good but not $18 good. Glad I tried it, but it won't be a place that I recommend.

I had lunch at Mellow Mushroom on 1/24/13. I ordered a cup of Tortilla soup (soup of the day) and the steak hoagie. The waiter asked me if I wanted chips with the sandwich and I asked him if it came with it. He didn’t seem to know; however when I got my check it specified “No Chips”. Now if it wasn’t included and I wanted chips there should have been a charged item for chips. I don’t think he had a clue. Anyway the Tortilla soup (soup of the day) couldn’t decide if it wanted to be a soup a stew or a version of thick chili. Although it was tasty I had to thin it out a bit with some water to make it more a soup. Oh, and guess what? There were no Tortilla chips in the stew. When I asked for crackers, it took forever. You would think that a soup would come with a cracker if they had them or Tortilla chips with the Tortilla soup.. I had a few bites of the Hoagie and asked for my check. It was most disgusting excuse for a “Steak Hoagie” that I have ever had on the planet. The thinly sliced meat was grilled to death to the point of being as dry as a baked brick and totally tasteless. The “Wheat Bread” roll was dry as well and a terrible match for a steak sandwich. Many chain restaurants move here to Texas, in the heart of cattle country, and try and pass of this chard piece of garbage as a “Steak Sandwich”. When the waiter came with my $15.89 check for this junk he could see that I haven’t eaten but a small portion of it. He asked me if I wanted to wrap it “to go”. I told him it was horrible. He said nothing, did not offer another dish or even comment. He just left. That’s exactly what I did as well – NEVER EVER to go back!

Had a groupon to use before it expired. The pizza was ok, not anything special. It was fairly busy being a school holiday but we were seated straight away, food took about 20-30 minutes to come out and service wasn't as quick as you would expect. I'm glad we had the groupon and got to try out the restaurant but don't think we will be returning to pay full price.

Apparently each Wednesday’s they have a DJ, and we were there on a Wednesday. The 60’s pop music that the DJ played was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo loud that we literally could not hold a conversation with anyone with the exception of the person next to us. We asked twice to have it turned down and they did, but it just went from super loud to loud - like it would sound in a night club. The pizza was great but the decibel level made the experience anything but “Mellow”. I couldn’t wait to get out of there!!

We ordered garlic cheese bread and the house special pizza. It was good and so much food! One slice was enough for me to be full. I am glad we tried it but we won’t be regulars there.

Really enjoy the pizza and the owners talk to us a bit about the place. Loved it. Need more time to try other pizzas in the menu.

Good food and great service around 8:00 on a Sunday evening. Sunshine, our server, was friendly and efficient. She gave me some good local beer recommendations since we're not from the area... and brought me samples of two other kinds when they were out of my first choice. My wife ordered a gluten free pizza and I ordered a regular small pepperoni and sausage pizza. Kudos to Mellow Mushroom for making available great gluten free pizza to those who need/want it. Both pizzas came out piping hot at the same time. We both liked our pizzas, but mine was a bit blander than that served by our Mellow Mushroom back home - not as tasty/spicy, but still good. I ate it all, along with a 'lil chef salad. Definitely would go back if in the area.

Our first time there was around two-thirty..so shift change. We and maybe three other customers in the whole place and it took a very long time for them to make a pizza. I should know that between shift change most are not in a hurry....when we finally got the pizza ....meat lovers. It was okay but for us it wasn't bad but not to go back for again. That' my opinion and I love pizza so I am not bias. I will keep on trying.

I enjoy this place and their pizza's, they also have a GREAT beer selection. I had a sample of Devil's Backbone one evening when we were waiting for a table. They had it on tap and I was like WHOA! Yes I'll have another sir! It's usually pretty crowded Friday/Saturday nights, so be prepared to wait. I have enjoyed all the food I have ordered there and I am a pizza fanatic! I love their wings too, I always order Hot, love me some fire in my mouth!! I usually just create my own Pizza's, all the ingredients are so fresh (and so clean, clean). Their crust is really good, kinda a parmesany, garlicy crust, not thin but cripsy! I do usually favor super thin crispy pizza's but Mellow's crusts are very flavorful. Yes this place has high prices and If you're a drinker like me, for 2 people around $70-80 (2 plates of food, 4-6 drinks) Man, now I want Pizza........

My family got diarrhea and food poisoning from here. Stay away unless you want a trip to the emergency room.

Good vibe and great pizza every time. The service was good, but it took a little longer to get the pizza than I had hoped. Overall, a good experience, and I eat here every time I'm in the neighborhood.

Not what it used to be. They changed the Happy Hour food, not for the better. They took the mushroom soup off the menu. Not a good sign. Pizza is not as good as it used to be.

We were warmly greeted and escorted to a booth. I requested to change our seats because half the seat was sliced so that you could see the cushion coming out. A unique selection of pizzas to choose from or make your own. I ended up ordering a pizza with pesto and the picture in the menu had a narrow pesto swirl in the pizza. I ended up ordering it (we ordered another pizza too). I enjoyed the pizza once I scraped off a bunch of pesto (way more than the photo showed) and I ended up requesting two sides of red sauce to add to it. I would order this pizza again, but ask for less pesto. The salad was fine and the service was good. Aside from the above, I would like to dine there again. Casual, a chain, but it was good.

My favorite pizza and I try to always eat here when in town. The prices are a little high but the food is great quality and made with quality ingredients.

Met with friends on Memorial Day, the place was busy but we decided to wait. We waited a very long time to be served our drinks. My spouse asked for his tea and the waitress told us it was very busy and she only had Two Hands! No kidding. Rude! Everyone got served at separate times. Food was mediocre, the pizza was good. Due to the poor service, another restaurant we are crossing off our list.

This was our first visit to Mellow Mushroom. We both ordered small pizzas (we were told it would take 20-25 minutes). When the pizzas came out, mine was very hard to cut because it was overcooked. The other pizza was crispy. We told the waitress and showed her the crust. She apologized, then asked if we would like a dessert. We both got a dessert….which was added to the bill. Yeah, no.

The Worst pizza ever eaten. No cheese on three orders. Were they out of mozzarella? Pepperoni & mushroom sliced so thin.. barely tasted. Ground meat extremely sparse. These looked like flat roof shingles & tasted like dry cardboard! Any pizza fast food better than this! Run & save your money!

Having overdosed on pizza in college, I avoid it. This meal has reshaped my opinion completely. Incredibly good pizza! You could taste the freshness in the ingredients. The service was just ok, but the food was stellar

They let children sit at the bar with parents while they wait, service is horrible. Manager is a clueless idiot. Avoid this place at all costs.

My hubby and I have never eaten at Mellow Mushroom, but we've heard about great pretzels and not-so-great service. The pretzels were amazing, but so was the service! We ate for lunch on a Thursday and we had great service from Sami! She was very thorough explaining the menu to us since we've never been here before. She made great recommendations, too! She was really on top of making sure we didn't run out of tea, too. Great, great service! We initially thought the pretzels might be undercooked, but we let them settle a bit, and they were perfectly soft. The owner, Peter, explained that he made them himself and makes them soft on purpose. We loved the marinara sauce that we dipped our pretzels in, but the beer cheese sauce was THE BOMB! Wow, was it good! Tangy and not too thick. Yum-O! My hubby had the very tasty Italian Hoagie on Rye and I had the Meatball Hoagie on French Bread. I also got a small Greek Salad, but had to take it to go! It was also very good! Can't wait to come back and bring the kids for pizza. So very good!

We went to Mellow Mushroom for a friends birthday party. The place is decorated really cute so that was a plus when we walked in. Since it was happy hour, the appetizers and drinks were on special. I opted for a margarita, which was very weak and not too flavorful so I only got one. My husband got a bottled beer. I ordered bruschetta which was very good, but you can't really mess that up. We ordered pretzels as well and they were not so good. Pretty bland and the full order is way too much food. We then ordered a pizza to share, barbeque chicken. The taste was good but it was very overpriced. Overall I was not impressed and we will not return to the Mellow Mushroom

This is one of our favorite places to eat pizza anywhere. The ingredients are fresh and their crust is my absolute favorite! I am not gluten free but I have friends who are, so I am grateful they have GF options.

I am not a great pizza fan. But this pizza was just awesome!!! The service was great too. We had the mushrooms pizza and the tomato and pesto one; half and half. Both were just great!!! It was a large pizza for three, and it was more than enough too. So good that wet ties this place. Will be looking forward to coming back!!!

The pizza was great! I had never been there before but my bf wanted to take me for our 1.5 year anniversary. The food was delicious!
Excellent!
We had planned to eat at a downtown restaurant that had great reviews and was pet friendly. When we got there we found you needed reservations and was a bit dressier than we expected. We then went to a bbq place, but I could not make myself eat there. We finally settled on The Mellow Mushroom. So glad we did!!!! Totally dog friendly, to the point that you get a discount if you bring your dog. The pizza was delicious and hot. The margarita was refreshing. The waitress we had was amazing. There when we needed her, in the background when we did not. Thoroughly recommend this place.
