Had been sitting in meetings all day in a windowless room. It was too hot to go out looking for a place to eat and the bar was crowded and noisy. We saw the directions for Mengerita and decided to try it. We were very, very favorably impressed. Fairly limited menu but good selection of cold beverages. Bar along one wall with windows which allowed us to watch all the foot traffic around the Alamo. They also had outdoor seating but I have already mentioned the heat. The wait staff were wonderful and constantly checked on us. There is an entrance from the street so you do not have to come through the hotel to reach the place. Highly impressed and will return I am sure.

Located right off the Plaza on the Alamo side of the Menger Hotel, it can also be accessed from the hotel. They had outside seating, and our watermelon and lime Margaritas were pretty good, but the tacos were a little underwhelming. I had the #3 a pork taco with lime slaw on corn and it was so watery that it fell apart after the 1st bite, and I had to eat most of it with a fork. My wife had it a little better with the #6 a SW veggie taco that lasted 2 bites before it collapsed. With all the great reviews we were surprised by our situation. I think we would only come back for drinks in the future, no tacos.

How good is can a taco stand connected to a hotel be? Very good, in fact! Imaginative tacos, excellent flavor, and fast and friendly service. Jen was especially helpful! Highly recommended.

We had just arrived mid-day in San Antonio and were staying at the Menger Hotel. Wanted something quick and easy for lunch before crosssing the street to visit the Alamo. Service was quick and easy. I had the #1 beef fajita and my wife had the #3 pulled pork. Along with a couple of tall sodas, they had great flavor, and were just right to get us going on our exploration of San Antonio

Very gud food I would recommend fr it’s bussin bussin not just bussin really really good food fr and the customer service is so good they were really polite and patient good place to come two for a quick break and they got. Alcoholic beverages fr!

This place is so nice its colorful, theres music and the staff are very sweet. A lady named Jen checked me out and she was amazing, I sat outside beautiful scenery of the crockett hotel where im staying. Maybe a 3 minute walk. Mengerita Tacos.

Oh my God!!! The best tacos I’ve ever had! The girls who work here are awesome. We would come here to get the large margaritas every day. I miss them so much but live to far away.

Just wanted a quick snack before heading to the Alamo and this was right on the path there. Literally the best queso I've ever had. Can I please have the recipe?! Also had a barbacoa taco and a frozen margarita - also delish. Liked that they had inside and outside seating and service was friendly. Sadly, I live on the east coast but I will def be back next time I'm in San Antonio!!

Great street tacos! This place was next to our hotel and we tried it today to get out of the Texas heat. We will be back!

Authentic, fresh tacos and frozen drinks. Cafe-style tables indoors and outdoors. Directly across from the Alamo's side entrance/exit.

My son liked his taco my taco was super cold needs some work in the tortillas and the young girl was rude !

The food was so amazing! Me and my boyfriend tried the Sally white, the o Henry, the babe Ruth and San antonio and they were all so good but our favorite was the chips and queso. This is a must try if you are in San Antonio and the staff is super friendly and it's very clean our cashier sara was awesome will definitely be coming back!

We visited Mengerita Tacos & margaritas on 6/28 in San Antonio, TX. We had a quick snack there of tacos and margaritas. The tacos were not very good, but the frozen margaritas were delicious.

Delicious pulled pork tacos! Seriously, so good it's worth going out of your way to get these delicious tacos. I recommend ordering two (corn tortilla). Yum!

We loved everything we ordered! We each tried different tacos and shared an order of nachos, all were delicious! We enjoyed the food here more than the restaurant we chose for dinner on the Riverwalk! The frozen margaritas were fabulous too and the staff was very kind! Highly recommend and located right by The Alamo and near the Riverwalk!

Ordered the #4 The De Zavala. We were trying to sample different restaurants but it was so good we went back and ordered more.

Friendly staff, fast service, tasty tacos, refreshing frozen margheritas. We ordered the southwest veggie, pulled pork, and southwest chicken tacos. All were full of flavor and a great quick bite to eat. Kids nachos are a good portion and the queso is good. Enjoy!

Solid food and hit the spot after a round of golf. The chicken tacos I had we delicious and had great flavor. Service was good and staff was nice. Will try to come back when in town.

This sweet little spot right next to the Alamo has margaritas, nachos and tacos. The presentation was nice and the flavor was right on target. Barbacoa was excellent!

Exceptional customer service! Went with my elderly parents to eat lunch after my sons graduation. Food was alright but Jen made the experience so much better. She was very attentive with my parents and made sure they were comfortable.

Those might be the best tacos I have ever eaten. They were fresh, not greasy, and they salsa that came with them was fantastic. The cabbage(I think) that came on the pork taco made the entire dish. Great service too... I'll be back.

So glad we found this place! Downstairs in the Menger Hotel right across the street from the Alamo. Tables inside and outside. Lowkey and fun. #1 & #2 tacos are so delicious on homemade tortillas. Margaritas are good too. Very fast and pleasant service. Thanks Jen for the recommendations! Wish we were staying longer so we could stop by again
