We have dined here many times and love it! Since we spend a lot of time in Greece, we know Greek food. The owner and chef are from Greece and have created a wonderful spot with authentic and delicious food. Love the saganaki, greek salad, tyropita, souvlaki and lamb chops. The desserts are also delicious and I like the wine list. The restaurant is tucked in behind 1st Ave so you feel like you are far, far away from downtown. It is a lovely atmosphere.

Whilst we did enjoy the appetizers which included halloumi salad and feta cheese pie and pita bread with tzazikki. ($10 which was hugely overpriced for what it was) The entrees did not live up to the quality of previous visits. My wife had the octopus which would have been an appetizer but she had as a main course. At $20 it was a very small portion, she added fries which were great. I had the chicken skewer sticks, composed of thigh chicken and it appeared to be under cooked and I really didn’t enjoy the taste. The waitress, who provided good service throughout our meal, very gracefully changed the dish to lamb but I really didn’t enjoy the lamb quality or taste. This would have been a top 5 restaurant choice for me in Miami. Now it’s a restaurant that I will find very hard to go back to.

Meraki Greek Bistro (142 SW 1st Ave Miami) was the perfect pre-concert dinner spot as it's located 6 blks, (15 min walk) to Kaseya Center. It has a quaint outside dining courtyard & Mediterranean inspired inside seating (taverna-like) filled with white blue & tables/chairs right down to the woven seats. We had all our faves...fresh horiatiki salad, savory saganaki, hearty pork souvlaki, juicy lamb chops, creamy galaktonouteko and a complemental wine pairing. All the dishes were timed/executed perfectly and tasted exactly as should & was expected...all by friendly service & deft kouzina. If Meraki was closer to me it would be on my regular. For now I'll have to find more excuses to travel to them (Trilogy Concert 🎶 last night, was a great reason 😉)

Great authentic Greek restaurant hidden in downtown Miami. Constantino was a great host, food was excellent. The atmosphere makes you feel like you have left Miami for Greece!

We went for my wife's birthday -- with my daughter and future son in law. All enjoyed the experience greatly. Terrific value -- especially for often pricey Coconut Grove.

We were going on a cruise, and due to airline schedules, we had to fly into Miami a day early. We were planning on just getting an airport hotel, but then decided to try to at least a little bit of Miami ambiance. So we stayed downtown, and it was a great decision. We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon, and walked a few blocks to see what was there. Stumbled upon the Meraki Restaurant. What a find! 4 adults and one 18 month old. My husband and I had the Souvlaki and he's not really a Greek food fan, but he LOVED it! The young adults had a couple of different dishes, and a beer, and still our total came to $65....I would go to Miami again just to go to this restaurant! (By the way, we walked from our hotel, so I can't say anything about the parking, if you are going by vehicle. I saw a lot of on the street parking, but that's all I know!)

Don't be deceived by the outside of Meraki, it's hidden courtyard and cosy ambiance only add to the experience. We enjoyed genuinely friendly service and delicious, fresh Greek food. We had fried calamari and souvlaki plates. The portions were generous, perfectly prepared and delicious and we appreciated them letting us share a plate between our smaller eaters.

So good we ate here twice. Once for lunch and the second time for dinner. So many options to choose from. A must stop while in Miami

Very good Creek Restaurant , very Nice out side tables , price $$$ very good service , no park valet .. don’t need reservation very informal

NOT 5 star, but better than 4 stars ! Gave this place a try on a Tuesday night, with a reservation for just myself. They asked I sit & wait at the bar for 5 minutes, while a table was being cleared. They were fairly busy, and I thought they could use my table for someone else, so I decided to eat at the bar. The mixed platter was very good, and more than I could handle; Gyro, Pork & Chicken, Salad, Pita AND FRIES ! Service and a nice glass of Zoe Rose was excellent. I returned Thursday and decided on a Greek salad, Grilled Octopus appetizer and some EXCELLENT FRIES (Better than five guys !). Again, washed down with a glass of Rose. This area of town is like something after the holocaust, and there's more homeless urinating on the street than there are restaurants open ! But, this restaurant is tooked away in a little courtyard, down an alley, away from all the 'nastiness'. Give them a try and ask for Sophie (the new waitress).

This place is so lovely, immediately reminds me an authentic Greek Taverna I used to go everyday when I worked in Greece. And what a surprise when the dishes came ... so good. Simple, tasty and well seasoned. We had the real Greek Salad and the family platter to share. Amazing. Can’t wait to come again , very soon. It will become one of my regular.

This review is for the location in Coconut Grove on Main Hwy. We had a late lunch meal on a weekday. The restaurant has a couple of tables out front and a small indoor area with more tables almost hidden out back. The inside is pleasant, but somewhat noisy. We found the back area just right. We had 3 appetizers plus salmon, mousaka, and lamb chops. All were excellent and reasonably priced. Both the Greek wine and Greek beer were tasty. I liked that wine, beer, and even table salt came from Greece instead of the usual products that I can get anywhere. The servers were very pleasant and were attentive without being intrusive.

no:1 parking downtown is a rip off city officials would do Miami a great service having a moderate parking price in downtown areas... outrageous prices for a 2 hr,/$20.00 just in front of the restaurant they have a $10.00 dollar valet out front which the guy at the valet told me its shared among the 4 or 5 restaurants.... no:2.(its a courtyard type of setting the 5 building share the area its nice but needs presentation in the entrance and the common areas are like run down need paint & hygiene around the place im sorry but that says a lot about the places where you go to eat food its lacking maintenance and that makes me worried what i will be eating at the restaurant itself. meraki is very clean inside and nice looking but no table cloths or nothing fancy.but cozy. all this being said. why would the person who answered the phone when i called looking for parking spot send me to parking garage at the total bank building, i took a $10 valet . in front of their building.. so we sit down, its early its our first time in the place and they have happy hour. no one mentions a word of it .....and the girl who seems to be in charge offered choices of wine bottles/ Greek wine,$50.00 we declined , turns out they had happy hr, drinks super good prices too and some cheese they light fire too and melts its delicious also was a happy hr. price,i would have ordered one for each of us . but no happy hr.drinks so they charged the lady's for glass of wine $13.00 each too expensive and on a Sunday afternoon you got to be kidding.. so we order a few dishes they where OK portions and good flavor but my gyro platter was like( shopping mall cafeteria type of dish)nothing that would make me go back , i don't frequent Greek restaurants often and always hear other folks brag how great and big portions they serve and have yet to find one here in Miami. that comes close to it. I'm sorry but I'm a big plate of food guy,AND WITH AN APPETITE so i judge based on price /quality and portions, i cant stand all these new trendy restaurants that feed you like if you are a pigeon and brag how great of a meal they served you; and leave you with a empty stomach & wallet....none the-less MERAKI has ok portions .the salad also was good in flavor but nothing to it , it had tomatoes cucumbers and red onions and in the menu it sounds like if its big and can be shared it's not ,also ordered moussaka .very flavorful and water lots of water,no happy hr drinks thanks to them. overall I say the food was good, nice flavors & well prepared but getting to the place is not the easiest unless you live in D.T. MIA. or a tourist with a huge desire to eat Greek food ,why do i say that because now a days in Miami there's a mix of so many cultures and food from all over the world in any 5 mile radius specially in city of Miami that restaurant better be on their game and stop sitting pretty oh i forgot to mention the the staff is very professional and courteous including the young lady that did not mention happy hour drink prices i would have had quite a few LOL. PLEASE NOTE THE REASON FOR THE SERVICE RATING IS THE FACT THAT I WAS NOT BETTER INFORMED ABOUT HAPPY HR. PRICING AND THE PARKING SITUATION

Most authentic Greek restaurant we have found since our trip to Greece (Santorini and Athens) three years ago. Greek salad, honey and sesame cheese puffs, and moussaka were all fabulous! Pablo our server was great. Servers worked well each other. Loved the little alley seating. Super authentic!!

We really wanted to go to this restaurant. Unfortunately when we got within a block of it there were bums passed out on the sidewalk maybe 5 or 6 of them. This was 8 PM and we were concerned that when we finished dinner at 9 or so it might be quite dangerous. The restaurant was very nice and responded to our cancelation stating that they've been complaining to the city about the problem yet it still has not been solved The city of Miami needs to get busy and clean it up.

Nice greek restaurant in miami. Like others have said, it is hard to find, but just go down the alley with other restaurants and you will find it. Decor is bright and white reminding you of beautiful Greece. Service is good and friendly. Dishes are authentic and served for individual or family style. Enjoyed the dolmades, humus, gyro meat, greek salad, and greek wine.

Delicious, fresh tasting and fast courteous service. Love this place. This is my second visit and I sought this gem out because of the first excellent experience. Enjoy!

I had some hesitation about visiting the Meraki as my impression about the downtown area is that most of the businesses at first glance seem tired and not vibrant like the Brickell area of Miami. Anyway I took the leap and decided to dine here. I ordered the dolmathes for the appetizer and the eggplant/cheese casserole - the only vegetarian main course on their specials menu. The dolmathes were good. The casserole was also tasty; but was on the average to small side. What it really needed was more eggplant and less salt. Very salty; but that was probably the cheese. The service was not that great; but I find that when you dine alone you aren't give priority of service and the Meraki proved that to me. Not all restaurants are like this; but many often are. Spacious outdoor dining area. I ordered the walnut baklava and a coffee for dessert. The baklava was a generous portion and was very good. Would I return to Meraki if in Miami again? Definitely not - when there are many more better dining options in the Miami area.

What a lovely place!!! Every detail has its charming, and food was amazing and the service Excel!! Highly recommended.

Let me begin by saying I am not Greek and I have never been to Greece. I would imagine that Greek, Italian, Chinese, Moroccan, Senegalese and Jamaican cuisine will all taste better in the countries of origin. That said, the food at this Greek restaurant was absolutely delicious. Service is a teensy slow, but admittedly we were a large group. One of our dining companions is of Greek origin, and confirmed that the dishes were very close to what one might find in Greece. I can’t remember the name of the dessert but it was a flaky pastry with a moist, creamy center. I generally don’t like wet breads but this was phenomenal. As far as Greek restaurants in the United States, this is one of the best I’ve sampled.

Wonderful restaurant with great food and good prices. The chicken gyro and the Greek salad were reminiscent of my time in Greece.

Where Do I begin?! Meraki Greek Bistro is AMAZING. My husband and I hosted our small wedding reception upstairs in the Saloni Lounge in the downtown location. This was without a doubt one of the best decisions we could have made for our special day. First of all, the place is STUNNING. The decoration is absolutely gorgeous, and the only thing we added for our reception was a bouquet of flowers and some eucalyptus on the main table. That’s it. Because it’s already perfect! Now the food… the food was DELICIOUS. Huge shoutout to Chef Giannis. All of our guests could not stop raving at how amazing it was. The service was 10/10. The waiters/bartenders were so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. Alex was the most attentive and responsive person to work with with from day one all the way through the event. We planned this event from Spain, so working with vendors from a distance is not always easy, but Alex made the whole process so smooth. He was so quick to respond, sent me videos of the space so I could get a proper feel of the size and layout, and was just so accommodating in general for our group. I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience at Meraki Greek Bistro. I could not recommend this place enough. The Saloni Lounge is the perfect space for anyone hosting an event.

The food is amazing! so yummy and great portions, the decorations is very beautiful inside and outside and the servers are very nice every time i go out for lunch this is my favorite place to visit

They advertise brunch but really is not. It does not taste at all as Greek food. Service was terrible. They looked tired and this made the lunch umpleasanr. They advertise Sandria . Look at the photo. Full of ice.

Our second night in downtown Miami searching for a place to eat within walking distance from our hotel. Our first choice, 20 Ceviches has just seated a large party and the kind host suggested a long wait and possibly return another night. We appreciated her advice and suggestion to go down the street to an alley where a couple of restaurants were located. Bingo! We found Meraki Greek Bistro. This took us back to our days in Greece sitting outside with the sounds of music and conversation around us. Our server, Elvira, was wonderful and provided suggestions from the menu. Greek beer, salad, Dolmade and the best fried calamari we've experience in a long time. Of course, the Greek desserts were enticing and we indulged in one of our favorites, Galaktoboureko, very smooth custard philo pastry. Great atmosphere with wonderful food and service. Highly recommend this behind the main street restaurant

Very nice food and the closest i have found to authentic Greek food in USA. They were also very fast!

There aren’t many places you go to eat that truly represent another country’s taste and menu. This place has. Remarkable. Just as if I was sitting there again in Greece. Menu. Drinks. Taste. Ambiance. All perfectly replicated Excellent job by this restaurant.

We decided to try Meraki while we were in Miami. It was a short walk from our hotel and down a side alley. We were given a very friendly greeting when we entered and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. Both in and out had a nice atmosphere. The service was very friendly and attentive. We started with saganaki which was a flambe and also had a Greek beer called fix, enjoyed the beer and the appetizer. We had a gyro and shrimp skewers, they were good as well. Another highlight was the desserts. We split the baklava and also a new dessert ekmek kataifi. I haven't had the second one but I will remember to order it again when I'm in Miami again.

We will be back again very soon. Food, service, and atmosphere were impeccable. We look forward to introducing our friends and family to this wonderful experience.

Flavorless food and a big disappointment. We came to the city for the Miami Half Marathon and decided on a late lunch/early dinner here. We initially couldn’t find this place because it’s not clearly visible from the street. Finally found it when we circled the block again and paid $10 to park in valet, didn’t really see another good parking option. We arrived around 4 PM and were seated outside. We ordered a greek salad which was the best dish we had, however, there was no lettuce in this salad. The feta cheese was very flavorful. We also ordered fried zucchini, calamari, crab cakes, and the trio dip platter which was hummus, tzatziki, and meli-salad. Fried zucchini is cut in slices and each slice holds the grease it’s fried in, in the worst way. They were so gross and greasy and the breading was bland and flavorless. Calamari was the worst we had had, the majority was not rings or strips, mostly mini whole squid, which none of us really eat. Regardless, we still wouldn’t have eaten them, they were bland and literally tasted like nothing but grease. They had an even worse “sauce” intended for dipping, which may as well have just been straight mayonnaise. So bad. We tried salting but it didn’t help much. The hummus on the trio dip platter is a thumbs down. I don’t typically meet a hummus that I don’t like...Meraki’s is bland and not seasoned well. The tzatziki sauce was the best thing all 3 of us had tasted at this restaurant. I can’t fairly assess the meli-salad (made with eggplant) because I’m not a fan of it, in general, but my friends didn’t eat any of it, other than tasting one bite. Finally, the crab cakes: One would think that if you pay $16 for “lump crab cakes” you would get what you pay for. Not here. No lumps of crab, AT ALL, mostly breading. And clearly not a freshly, homemade crab cake. Tasted just like the frozen ones I’ve had, a 2 on a 10 scale, and SO SALTY they were almost inedible. 4 came on the plate, we left one uneaten and none of us finished the one we each tried. On top of a whole table full of food that was overpriced and a huge disappointment, our server was unfriendly, not warm, never smiled, didn’t ask us how our meal was or seem to care. A great server will typically look at the table and see all the food untouched and ask if everything was ok. Had she done that, I likely would not feel the urge to come back to my hotel room and write about it. She had the opportunity to make it right but she was not attentive to this and clearly, couldn’t care less. There is another greek restaurant equal distance away from the Marriott Courtyard on 2nd Ave, try that place, we wish we would have. Other annoying side note: Smoking is allowed outside in their patio seating area. Two tables were smoking on either side of us, so we were all disgusted and struggling, breathing in their smoke! We DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant.

Following a Miami Herald tantalizing review, we found our way to Meraki Greek Bistro (difficult since it is inside a courtyard with other restaurants-not on the main street). This was a rainy Tuesday night so we could not sit at the charming outside table. But it was also somewhat empty when we arrived. Lucky for us since there was only one server (one of the owners) . The service was extremely slow as the sole server ran around like the proverbial chicken with its head cut off. Our food was great. Every course more delicious than the next. We started with grilled octopus (mmmm!) served with toasted soft pita triangles. We also had a large plate of Plaki, which appeared to be huge fava beans in a delicious tomato-garlic sauce. The main course (shared) was the lamb chops (4) done to perfection. We also had a perfect small Greek salad. I had a Mythos- a very wonderful Greek beer served ice cold. The finale, the desert, was indescribable, but spectacular- the EKMEK KATAIFI. The entire bill before tax and tip was $55.45. We'd go back in a heartbeat. Parking is a challenge, and the service needs to be improved by adding another employee. That is the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars.

This is a true Greek place. The decor, the music, the food, everything is authentic. People in the US think Greek salad has lettuce. Wrong! The place is really hard to find, if you do make sure you stop by and have a bite. You will take a trip to a Greek island for a small price. They also validate your parking for $1 at the Miami Tower parking lot. Excellent place!

Had lunch and enjoyed the Gyro platter, for two... with Lamb, chicken and pork. This easily could have fed four and was SO tasty, with two sauces beyond just Tzaki. Also enjoyed the generous Greek Salad and Appetizer of three greek sauces. Great service, value and atmosphere.

For a quick bite, I stoped on a way to a meeting Nice lamb gyro! Very cold Mythos beer Great value Try it, I will come back

We had the best meal of our 12 day vacation at this restaurant. It was very crowded, but they managed to get a table set up for the 4 of us. The service was very quick and polite. And the food! My husband had something called Aegean Chicken, I tried some of it and it was WONDERFUL. I had Pastitsio, which was also very good. Our friends enjoyed chicken and shrimp skewers. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. The place is not big, and very popular it seems, but they do except reservations. Give this place a try, you'll feel like you've taken a trip to Greece.

Amazing place to gather with friends, drink wine, and enjoy a Mediterranean dish for an affordable cost. I’ve tried several plates and they’ve all been a great size and have excellent taste. I really enjoy coming here for dinner since it’s also in a prime location in Downtown Miami.

Terrible souvlaki, expensive horrible Greek wine and fake tsaksiki. No customers after two months in operation; the reason is simple. This nice looking friendly staffed place cannot cook an does not care about food.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and found this restaurant on a map search. We almost missed it because it was in a really charming outdoor area behind the buildings on the street, which made it a lovely surprise. We waited for a table outside by sitting at the bar and having a Greek beer. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the outdoor seating and the food was excellent.

One of the better restaurants we found in Miami. We were impressed that the mainly traditional Greek menu had not been twisted and mutated into an American fusion of Greek ‘style’ food....congratulations for keeping it traditional. Great homemade meatballs and lamb gyros. And the galaktoboureko was just like yiayia’s. The table service was just ok and they all seemed in a rush to close for the night so plates were scooped up even before you finished your last mouthful. We noticed other tables being asked to take food from shared platters so they could race the empty platters away. Unfortunately like most places in Miami the price is on the high side. Overall we enjoyed our evening and would most likely return when next in Miami.

Meraki was a short walk from out hotel. We ate outside on the back patio. Charming setting. The food was all excellent, the service friendly. And the bill reasonable. What more could you ask for?

I was in Meraki with my family. The dishes are delicious and the environment very luxury and clean. Service very fast and people there are friendly and and kind. We be back soon. Thank you for the experience

Wonderful place. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is 10/10. We enjoyed it so much we decided to do my shower in their upstairs event space. Their event space is absolutely gorgeous!! The prices were very fair too.

Surprisingly good. The grape leaves were just okay. However, the Saganaki and Moussaka were among the best we have ever had. The Creta seafood special was good not great. Their homemade Bakalava was excellent and not like the usual sickly sweet overly honey variety. Highly recommended and the outdoor setting is lovely-at least in the winter.

I would not just describe it as a great Greek restaurant but actually one of the best restaurants we have been to in Miami. Hidden away in the midst of downtown. If you never entered this particular parade you would never realize that such a beautiful area existed. It feels like you have entered another world. A beautiful back street in a Greek island. Outdoor string lights criss crossing the outdoor seating. The environment was great but the service and food made this a complete experience! We ordered the hummus appetizer with three different sauces and Pita bread. The entree we shared the KALAMAKI SOUVLAKI PLATTER. Incredibly generous plate of amazing skewers bursting with flavors, sitting on a bed of fries with pita and sauces. Overall a fantastic experience. Reasonable prices, great food, Amazing environment. We are your newest biggest fans!

We come here often and thought I'd leave a review. Great greek food and really good happy hour specials!

We had an outdoor reservation, lots of space and socially distanced. The pricing was decent for the portion sizes and great place for sharing. Definitely try any plate with cheese in it, every plate was delicious. Nice date location, very close to downtown area for bars.

The food is authentic and flavorful and the service is even better. You get the neighborhood feel despite being surrounded by the skyscrapers of downtown Miami. This place is truly a hidden gem with more than reasonable prices. Will keep coming back!

The food was absolutely amazing. Very authentic staff and cuisine. I had an eggplant salad spread, goat cheese and beat salad with lamb and grilled octopus. All were excellent. You will likely need to pay for parking but it’s worth it. I highly recommend! Will try to visit here with my wife when back in town.

Enjoyed our meal here, although the food was slow getting out of the kitchen the night we went. Read this is occasionally a problem, but the wine is good and the outside seating is delightful, so just enjoy the wait. Fish of the day was perfectly prepared in authentic Greek style and well worth the price of admission. Didn’t have room for dessert, but it looked yummy. Maybe next time.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST RESTAURANT IN MIAMI! BEWARE! BAD FOOD & DISHONEST STAFF. Doesn't deserve 1 star. We went to this Coconut Grove restaurant last week to pick up food for the family. The Place looked cute and we though we would try it. The waiter, Dimetri, took our order and we took our food home after our order was completed. When we oped up all the food containers and tried 2 of the dishes. They were so salty beyond anything we have ever had. We had to spit out the food. Uneatable!!!! We opened up the third container and noticed a longhair in our moussaka dish. We immediately called the restaurant to report the bad food and the hair. The same waiter who took our order, Dimetri (he also told us he was the manager), answered the phone and we told him we were bringing all the food back to him and we wanted a refund on our CC. Dimetri said there was no need for us to bring any of the food back and that we should throw it all away. Furthermore, he would make sure that our CC was not processed for the full amount when they batch out at the end of the night. We believed him, however, he processed the card anyway. We called him several days later and he told us that it would take up to 5 days to see the credit on our CC. Totally a lie, becuse he told us that he was not proccessing it to begin with. A week + later, we stopped into the restaurant and spoke with Dimetri in person. He informed us that he wanted to issue a CC refund, but his owner did not want too. BEWARE of Restaurant. Shocking ownership. BAD FOOD & DISHONEST STAFF.

The food was awesome with lamb kabobs and red snapper along with the best ztaziki and pita bread. Came with cheese marinated in brandy. Come early and enjoy the emptiness because it starts to get busy around 7. Very hard to locate because it is tucked back in the middle of two restaurants called Brasil steak. The wine was awesome. The service was very good although food is pricey so start saving your pennies!

My sister & I had dinner here the evening before our cruise. We both had salads and we could have shared one! I had the goat cheese & beet salad with lamb gyro meat, it was awesome! My sister had the Greek salad (Horiatiki) with lamb gyro meat & said it was great as well. We were also pleasantly surprised at the modest prices & tipped our waiter well 😃

We had the best service with Irma G. Our server. We came on Wed. Night during happy hour. Although their sangria was not on Happy hour we decided to try the red and white. I preferred the red but well worth the $. It was delicious and all food was delicious not to mention large portions. I highly recommend when you are in the mood for Greek, go Meraki Greek Bistro in Coconut Grove.

I eat her 3 times a week. The food is very consistent. Whatever they are doing works. I have had a variety of things on the menu and I have not found anything I wouldn't order again and again. Even on busy lunch rushes the staff is very attentive and polite. Waiters smile and I get the feeling that they actually want me to enjoy myself not just eat and go. This has opened the doors to many successful work meetings. With an inside (AC'd) eating area and a great shaded outdoor eating area its a place where you can find a comfortable table to suit your needs.

What a wonderful surprise. Stopped here after a business closing nearby. Was not disappointed! This place makes you feel like you are in some quaint restaurant in Mykonos! Loved the ambiance and LOVED the food!!! Highly recommended!

We were pointed to this restaurant for a fast meal. It was speedy service, but only average food. The Gyro's are different in they come with fries folded into the pita.

This is a great Greek restaurant. The food is fresh and authentic. The menu is large and the service is great. The atmosphere is perfect, you feel transported into a Greek island. Great parking validation. A must visit.

Went for Sunday lunch pre-theater matinee, and loved it. I lived in Greece for several years long ago, and was delighted with Meraki's true Greek décor and friendly ambiance - there was even a whole lamb carcass roasting on a spit in the courtyard! Food was great for me and my gluten-free friend, and the finishing Greek coffee was perfect. Highly recommend for a weekend meal in particular (to avoid downtown traffic).

The food was very good BUT it wasn't what we expected. I had the lamb kabob platter and was expecting lamb chunks on a skewer but it was 'ground' lamb meat instead. My wife had the grilled octopus appetizer. It was excellent tasting BUT the portion was small and not worth the price of 13 dollars. Overall, the food was very good. Nice ambiance, and excellent service.

Meraki is a great family owned Greek restaurant, hidden in a little court yard of downtown Miami, sit outside or inside, You are in for a treat. Service is pleasant and helpful We have been there several times, and everything has been delish. I highly recommend Meraki when you are downtown and want to escape the fray.

Been to the Meraki Greek Bistro twice in a month. Hard to find inside the Village Sidewalk Court. No signs from the street or avenue so park across the street and go find it it is worth it. The cook is Greek so it is not some water down version of the cuisine. Had the gyro and it is delicious with Greek potatoes.

Had the mixed grill w lamb gyro, chicken and pork skewers, fries. Tasty overall. Cool and authentic feeling vibe. Off the cut,so to speak, in a little private alley/courtyard off the main street.

Greeted by the staff and they were friendly and accommodating. Presentation was lovely and very bountiful! Everyone’s meal was delicious and enjoyed by all! Nice ambiance.

I eat at Meraki on a regular basis and have yet to be disappointed. You feel like you are in the Greek Isles, and the food is authentic and good. The only challenge is that it is in a small alley that

Absolutely awesome dinner. Had a bottle of wine, service was fantastic (Russian waitress, didn't get her name), both of us different variations lamb.. out of this world must try.

One of the best hidden gems in Miami! I am Greek and every time I visit Miami, this is a must stop for dinner or a quick snack. Makes me feel like I am in Greece! Staff so friendly, food so good! Food is very authentic, from the saganaki to the souvlaki. The lemon potatoes are to die for! Sit back, have a Mythos, enjoy your food and feel like you are in Greece. Wish the area were a little more rejuvenated and not so sketchy. We usually find parking on the street and if we have to go to the lot, we tell them we are there for the restaurants and they only charge $10.

My family happened upon this place when we were travelling thru Miami. It is tucked away in a courtyard. We had some appetizers and then had the Gyro.

If someone blindfolded you and took you to Meraki, you would never imagine that this place was located in Downtown Miami; the bistro’s décor and ambience will transport you to a remote destination in Greece. The fare is authentic and prices are fair, so we are surely coming back to enjoy Meraki’s happy hour and taste some more dishes from its wide-ranging menu.

This place is a hidden gem in Miami! Food is amazing I recommend the salads and dessert lovely ambient and the staff is very kind specially Maria who made great recommendations and was super funny! You’re lucky to have her. I want to come back!

We stayed at a near by hotel and walked to find this little hidden gem! Located down an alley way decorated with string lights, little did I know that my stomach was going to be transported to another country! At the end of the alley the road opened up into a "mini Santorini"! The building was white and decorated in beautiful cloths and bright flowers. We sat outside under their little pergola and it was so romantic. Me and my husband ordered the Saganaki, a tatziki platter, and the Gyro platter and it was TO DIE FOR. I went outside of my comfort zone and ordered the Greek Coffee as a dessert and it was some of the most delicious coffee I have every enjoyed! The only thing they could improve on was staffing. It was a casually busy night and they only had 2 waiting staff, so it was a little hard to grab somebody when you needed something. But this I could totally overlook because the food and experience was that good!

SE 1st St is turning into a little restaurant row. Always a fan of VERO we stumbled upon Meraki. Cute decor nice outdoor tables and very good Greek dishes served by a well informed and very passionate staff Will I Go Back? Yes. It is very affordable so if you live downtown this a a place to visit often in your neighborhood

This place is cozy and warm great service authentic Greek food. Had octopus and it was terrific. The orzo was flavorful, my husband had the lamb and it was superb . Prices are reasonable for the quality. Decor is very Greek it transported me to a small island restaurant in Rhodes.

I recently ate here for lunch, and absolutely loved the food. The staff in the Downtown location, although a little slow at times, were really friendly and made sure we had what we needed. The food was delicious - we had the calamari and one of the salads with chicken - portion sizes were good and food was super fresh. Would 100% recommend.

The food was very good, including the atmosphere of the location and the service. Highly recommend. Very good lunch specials.

By recommendation we went last evening, good choice! Hard to find it, because in a courtyard! The food is really good! Good service! You can eat outside or inside. I love the decoration inside.

Have the Greek salad and the moussaka! You won’t be disappointed! Not too noisy a place which matters to me. Restrooms are upstairs.

Everything was very good. Saganaki!!! Try it. And they have "real" gyros, so many places have very generic versions of gyros. This place has the real deal and was very tasty. Server was also very nice.

Quaint bistro with nice servers. Perhaps best as a lunchtime stop while exploring the eclectic area. Dinner was a bit disappointing. Some of the calamari was chewy and the single piece of octopus was over charred. Chicken bifteki was too salty and the lemon potatoes were soggy, not roasted. Souvlaki platter with crunchy fries, salmon entree, and goat cheese with beets’ salad were all good choices. Wine is pricey, but good quality.

Off the beaten track... not easy to find , but definitely worth finding !... Loved the venue , service and the food was delish!! Will be back soon!...

Awful service. Rang for table. Told walk in. Got there told no table. Guy obviously looking for tip/incentive. Found us a table with old con of taking reserved off. When we left at 9.15pm still lots of tables left. Wife’s main meal came 10mins before mine. I finished main, wife not quite “do you want a box” , “ok”. The bill arrived, without asking for more drinks or dessert 1 minute later. £150 so we weren’t cheap sakes. No tip so original guy comes over and asks us why. Told him. Doesn’t accept and to be honest don’t have time to be a consultant to them

What a hidden gem of a restaurant. The food was so good and the service was amazing as well. What more can I say than it’s simply the best and affordable. Highly recommended.

We found this little hidden gem on accident. It is hidden in the back (alley). The food was fabulous. All of the servers recommendations were excellent. The BEST Saganaki I had ever had. The pork souvlaki was full of flavor and melted in your mouth.

Great ambiance, service and Food. Best Gyro we have ever tasted. Felt like we were in Greece. Romantic setting. Tucked away nicely in Courtyard.

9 of us ate here last week and loved all of the appetizers. The waitstaff is very helpful and the atmosphere FEELS like Greece. The special fish was delicious but don't miss the grilled CHEESE! Totally wonderful as were all the dips, hummus, Tzaziki (sp) and baba ganoush(sp). Everything was yummy!! Be careful of the wine - some of it is very acidic.

The place looked really nice... Everybody was happy with their orders. I hav”Shrimp Skewer Platter” and was delicious. My family had “Pastitsio”, “Chicken Gyro” and “Lamb Gyro Platter” and I tried all of them and they were pretty delicious too. We had a great time!!!

Excellent service and delicious food. The staff was very friendly and the food was outstanding. The beef and the chicken gyros are good and they put French fries inside, making it special. Appetizers are excellent. Will go again many times.

In Miami pre-cruise from East Coast of Canada. Love Greek food. Spent 5 weeks in Greece back in summer of 96. Visited Meraki Greek Bistro on April 24, after reading good reviews on trip advisor. My husband and I arrived at 4:30pm ordered 2 glasses of wine off the Happy Hour Menu ... very good for $5 each. Ordered our meal from the main menu.... we shared a Saganaki ( flaming cheese) for $11 and a chicken gyro sandwich for $9. We were full and had an absolutely delicious meal ... said we need to return! went back the next night at 5:30/ 5:45 because we had been so impressed. Tried to order the same meal .... although we could still get the happy hour wine price ..., the menu now was the night time menu. We could not order the Gyro sandwich.... but were told a similar meal would cost $35 for 2. Ordered it ..... yes it was good BUT ..... there was enough meat/ food for 6 people it was such a blatant waste of food and obvious ploy to take advantage of people ...... And .... asked for a second glass of wine ... the server brought out the bottle and topped up our glasses that weren’t empty !!!!! He hardly poured a half glass !!!!!!!!!!! So hardly a half glass. And to expand on this the night before our server gave us both a much bigger pour for our first glass than the first pour this second night. To make a long story short...... will not return to a place we were impressed with the first night. Avoid Meraki Greek Bistro - unless you arrive before expensive evening menu. We are very disappointed in our second visit.

This place is a hidden gem. The neighborhood is a bit weird. Parking unpredictable. Nevertheless the place is super tiny and amazingly comfortable, with typical Greek decor: white and blue. Food is delicious. I recommend the plates to share.

We made our first visit to Miami in many years for a cruise and arrived a day early so we took the free Metromover from near the Hilton to near Meraki. This restaurant is easy to miss as it is down a small alleyway and doesn't face 1st Avenue directly, but we found it after a U-turn. We were the first to arrive on this Saturday and were welcomed and seated by the window. I had made a reservation on Open Table, but it really wasn't necessary for Saturday lunch! Polina was our server and did an excellent job. The young guy, who was originally from Athens, filled our waters frequently and provided conversation near the end once he learned that we had been to Athens and Santorini. We both drank water. I had the Lamburger with Greek fries, and my other half had Chicken Paties with Green fries and a small salad. Everything was so very good! The lamb was cooked almost medium rare as ordered but was still tasty even though not as moist and rare as I would have preferred. I still had a little room so we split a Baklava for dessert. The bathroom was clean as well as the common areas in the restaurant and what I could see behind the counter and on the patio so big plus there. I wish this place was in Orlando since I don't get to Miami very often. I highly recommend for a great meal and attentive service. If we return to Miami and stay close to the Metromover or close enough to walk since I doubt I will be driving, this is at or near the top of my list for an authentic Greek meal! Next time, maybe we can break some dishes!!! Just kidding!

Jumped from Brazilian restaurant across to Meraki Greek Bostro when my friend arrived. 🇧🇷➡️🇬🇷 I have never had such perfectly cooked octopus 🐙. The place’s decor really takes u to Greece & service was superb 🙌🏼. Everyone is very attentive. Def coming back & w/more friends to try different plates. 😉 Highly recommended!

Really good food. Really nice service. Lovely atmosphere. Only tip: I wouldn't have noticed it without TripAdvisor. It's not super accessible in my opinion. Further though that shouldn't be a problem too much because it's all about the restaurant.

Good food, attentive staff, average cost/benefit. A half hidden place. Local agradável. Reserve on the weekend

Great little place hidden in downtown Miami. Excellent home style Greek food with very good service. Would definitely eat here again. Prices are also reasonable.

Fabulous food and great staff. Our hotel recommended and we were not disappointed! Even comes with a resident cat for outside diners.

Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant....very clean, warm, and inviting. Food was okay. I had a pork gyro and the meat was little bits of gristle more than anything. Tzatziki had little flavor. My friend liked his food. Service was very friendly and welcoming.

looked for a recommended place in Brickell, and found this place. I was so looking forward to it, as I have travelled all over Greece so was hoping for some great fare. The decoration was cute, quirky and international looking, locate down a side slip in a tucked away position. the service was great, with an extensive food list. The wine was pre dominantly Greek produce, and greek wine is NOT that good, so a disappointment there. I loved the staff, the décor, the ambience but the food! oh Dear! I had the stuffed b peppers with lemon potatoes and in short it was not good, tasteless and dry. I have had this dish in Greece and this was nothing like the lemon potatoes..i was so let down, such a shame. My friend had the skewers with a greek salad. She said her meat was dry and tough, so we will not be going back.

A good night out with great entertainment and reasonable food. Sevice slow but it's a total night out so one expects to soak up the ambiance .

Super delicious and authentic Greek food, highly recommended hidden food gem. Increíble service, and beautiful and typical Greek ambiance.

Greek Gods, what an amazing experience. Since the moment with sat, the server was very amicable and relaxed. The bus boy was amazing, not a single time we had to ask for water, as he came just when the glass was about to get empty. The food was extraordinary and the ambiance, simply relaxing and seducing. I only took pictures of the Saganaki because we got distracted talking and clowning, but I will be back soon and spam my Yelp with pictures of their dishes! Tip your servers, folks! @FrancescaMusica

This delightful restaurant offers all the trimmings of Greece in Miami. From the alfresco dining on a quaint alleyway, to inside seating. This restaurant has a feel of Greek taverna authenticity, and welcoming, friendly staff. The food was beautifully presented and deliciously Greek.

We have recently traveled to Greece and fell in love with the food so we were excited to try this place. The food was indeed authentic! And the portions were large. The staff was very friendly and professional. We had the Greek Salad which they made at the table. It was wonderful and so fresh! So big we couldn't finish it! We also had the Mixed platter which had gyro meat, 1 pork skewer and 1 chicken skewer and fries. Everything on that platter was delicious except for the chicken as it was very dry. They pork and gyro meat were spot on though and honestly, there was so much food that we didn't mind not eating the chicken skewer. If we ever get back to Miami, we will make a point to eat here again! Highly recommend!

Had dinner in their Coral Gables restaurant that recently opened. The food is not good. The branzino was mushy, kinda like a snotty texture. The steak just not good. Wine list is poor and only Greek, which is fine, but not if you are into wines. Won’t go back.

This is a really great place for Greek food. The Gyro is the best in town. The salads are fresh and the grape leaves are awesome. The service is terrific and its a great place for lunch.

Well, actually it’s Constantine with a K ; ) I picked up a catering order yesterday, set up by the restaurant manager, Christos. Wonderful spread. Best Horiatiki & Keftedes! I ordered other things & can’t wait to dine in-person. We had a wonderful office lunch (we were just missing a few bottles of Mythos lol) Great experience and customer service. Spot on! That’s why I am returning soon!!!

We were wondering around downtown and found this very charming restaurant, we had to try it! Food was very good, prices were ok. To try more options we ordered 3 appetizers and 2 souvlakis: dolmades ($4.99), eggplant pate ($5.99), cheese pastries with honey ($5.99), lamb kebab ($2.99) and veggie souvlaki ($2.49), all delicious. It was enough for 2 people (plus a huge dessert, galaktoboureko $5.99, fantastic). Service was super nice. Definitely will be back to try the moussaka (it is the special of the day sometimes).

The food is good, but the decoration of the place is the best, great ambiance, and if you seat outside at night it's specially nice. It's gives you a nice sense of privacy, and to eat I would recommend a Traditional Gyro with a Zous Blue beer.

bad experience, food was really good but the person who cleaned our table spilled oil from Greek salad on my pants, a greasy stain on my pants $ 200, no reaction on his part, but from the lady who brought us the bill, I heard "sory about this it's new worker " why I need to care then somebody is new ??? I understand things happened but make step to fix or resolve problem and responsibilities for problem like this , zero offer to pay for the laundry and a refund offer for the pants. such a plan cannot be removed from the oil, so the pants have to be thrown away. for the lack of a professional approach to the client 1 *

This is a small and a bit hidden greek place in downtown Miami, the owner is a very nice greek guy (we started talking and he sat with us for a while), the food is authentic greek and tasty, not a lot of options but just enough and has what you'd expect, the place is small with good atmosphere

Family of 6 adults enjoyed dinner here the week before Christmas- Excellent atmosphere, Delicious food, Fantastic service. One Vegan and One Vegetarian among us and they had NO problem with the menu. We had 3 different lamb plates (ka-bob, chops, plate (?)) each were amazing. We also enjoyed a couple appetizers- octopus was one of them!

I didn't realize that we had eaten here before our Cuba cruise in 2018, just next door. I contacted a month before our arrival to inquire if their lunch specials were good on weekends and received a prompt response from Alex Karavias stating yes so we made a reservation for lunch on Saturday, 20 September 2025. We arrived an hour early for our reservation and were seated quickly by Ivan K, per the receipt. He and his assistant were very attentive. After we were there 15 minutes or so, I pulled up my unlabeled pics from 2018 and thought some of it looked familiar such as the napkins. I showed them to Ivan, and he said they used to be across the side alleyway next door! We also found out he was originally from Bulgaria, and he was surprised that we had visited the Tsarevets area in central Bulgaria a few hours south of Bucharest in 2019; he said he was from the eastern part near the Black Sea! For lunch, we shared an appetizer of fried Calamari. I had the Lamb Gyro pita w/ fries, and other half had the Branzino (fish) filet pita w fries as well. We both enjoyed our meals and ate most of the fries as well as all the meat. It was so much food! This restaurant does not charge a credit card fee nor do they add the now expected Miami 18% tip. Because of this, I gave a higher tip, which I don't do if they add the tip automatically? Most of those places have lousy service because they know they can do nothing and still get an 18% tip!!! We will definitely return here on our next visit to Miami, maybe even if they leave the idine program, but I hope they remain so I can receive rewards. Thanks again to Ivan and his assistant. You 2 are the best!

Our first food stop in Miami!!! The atmosphere was great. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. You will not be disappointed.
Excellent food - a trip to the Mediterranean
We had a beautiful evening on Friday at the Meraki Greek restaurant and we really liked the food. The waitress who knew the Greek wines suggested the “amethisos” which was excellent. In addition, after her own recommendation, we tried the Greek traditional "Galaktoboureko" which was one of the best dessert we have ever taste!!!
