This is one of my favorites restaurants in Atlanta, the staff is always great, good atmosphere, good music đŸŽ¶, the food is delicious especially the chilaquiles, taquitos dorados, la torta de milanesa and the salad, las margaritas are delicious and the mezcal is ok, highly recommended.

Ambiance was great, it's a neat building and the decor is super cool. The bar was nice but we were there before 12:30 on a sunday so we couldn't drink. Our server was all over the place. There were no other occupied tables in the restaurant and she only checked on us once every 15 minutes or so. We ordered drinks other than water that never arrived. She kept refilling our waters but never brought out the other drinks. It took our food about 30 minutes to arrive, again in an empty restaurant. The food was fine but it was pretty bland/dry. I had one of the cuban sandwiches. The brisket was dry, as brisket can be, but there was no sauce or cheese or anything to balance it out. It was dry bread with dry meat. The portion size was however giant, so I did not leave hungry. The guacamole was good, but it was just large pieces of avocado with equally large chunks of tomato. It was also under seasoned. Maybe a little lime and it would've been nice. Lastly we had to wait about another 30 minutes to get our check. Again we were the only group in the restaurant it was wierd. We kept making eye contact and doing the little raised hand thing to get our waitresses attention but she just kept doing her own thing. I eventually had to go stand next to the entrance/exit to the kitchen area so I could catch her when she came out one time. The food was so so, the service was not good. It's a good concept and given that nothing was terrible I'd be willing to assume they're having and off day and try again. But based on this experience I couldn't recommend it.

More great food across from Oakland Cemetery

By phulst |

Within the past week, I've had two meals (lunch and dinner) at the Mezcalito's Cocina and Tequila Bar location on Oakland Avenue. I was impressed that they have safe parking behind their location in what appears to be a converted quonset hut. I wasn't expecting much in ambiance but was very pleasantly surprised at how attractive and welcoming the interior is. I'm also impressed with the food. For lunch, I had a sampling of their $2 tacos with sides of their black beans and signature "green" rice. The tacos were generously filled with very tasty ingredients and the side dishes quite nice. When joining friends for dinner several nights later, we chose to dine on their spacious outdoor patio. Food quality and service were great then, too. I highly recommend trying this Mezcalito's location.

Not your ordinary Mexican restaurant and not very easy to locate, but once found tucked away on Oakland Avenue, you're in for a treat. Enchiladas were not the greasy typical enchiladas one finds in run of the mill Mexican restaurants, very nice. The black beans were our favorite! Nice atmosphere and service as well.

Great food and service!

I've been here at least four times and each time the food has been great and so has the service. I LOVE mexican food and this place does it right! Can't go wrong coming here!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Atlanta

By JohnDJTravel |

One of a few places in Atlanta where you can find authentic Mexican cuisine, vs. "Tex Mex." Excellent tamales, pork and tacos, tortas and chile rellenos. Great casual atmosphere and nice patio. Friendly staff. Popular place with locals in Grant Park.

A weekend brunch

By Scarlet Cavallo |

This is so far The best personalize Mexican cuisine in ATL, and I have to add the ***Mezcalrita is to died for, the aromas and toasty flavor of the Mezcal gives this Margarita the special touch to my palate and got to say that the most explosive one is ***el Diablo Margarita. Now that was a complete explosion of flavor and spices to my senses.

Loved it!

By Maria G |

Mezcalito's Cocina is amazing! Loved the steak quesadillas, delicious non-complimentary salsa, yummy queso and chunky guacamole Service was good. Environment is very conducive to hanging out!

Great Mexican place

By MarkWatermam |

Mezcalito’s has become one of my favorite places for consistently good food that’s individually prepared and always very tasty. Great selection of Margaritas make the meal that much better. The wait staff are always very attentive. We had a great meal with all the family here for Thanksgiving and everyone loved the place

Great Tequila Bar

By Brig718 |

We stopped there for the Nightly Ghost Tour. Had the Ginger Margaritas. Very good. Definitely would like to try their food

My New Favorite Mexican Eatery

By 1073BB |

We were far from home (well, only a scant five miles, but anything across town in Atlanta’s Friday rush hour seems far when it takes 45 minutes) and after meeting out-of-town friends for a quick coffee at Octane/Grant Park we wondered where to have dinner while in the area. We Googled, clicked on TA’s Top Ten Restaurants Near Octane (how’s that for pinpointing?), and chose this one. Don’t know why, most of the Mexican places we’ve tried are generic and not noteworthy plus we are on WeightWatchers. All that beer and tortilla chips
? We chose the right place! Barely a block from Octane; a large, free parking lot; an outdoor patio for a perfect summer early evening with no humidity; a low noise level (inside was slightly higher but I liked the dĂ©cor—spare, non-generic, more Day-of-the-Dead and other terra cotta images), and a large menu that includes many specialities, sensibly cooked. Our cute, young, personable waitress suggested we choose from the Classico section for non-standard selections. She, along with other staff, was effortlessly attentive, friendly, and informative throughout the meal. Predictably, hubby started things off with those “don’ts”—tortilla chips (here they cost $3) and a Dos Equis Amber on draft. I could not resist temptation and grabbed some chips, partly because I had not had any in so long, they were fresh out of the oven, and they came with two good salsas, the usual red one and a “different” tomatillo—very creamy and heavier than usual, probably, on the cilantro. I ate it all. The only thing that saved me from total downfall was the fact I don’t like Dos Equis and I resolutely stuck to water. For my main course, I followed the lead of a TA reviewer who recommended the Alambres de Pollo ($12): eight ounces (I asked the server to check) of moist grilled chicken stuffed with a few jalapenos and a smidgen of cheese, alternating with grilled onions, tomatoes, and green bell pepper, with a guajillo-mushroom sauce. (Guajillo is new to me
a type of pepper that wasn’t too hot and had a nice flavor.) The two skewers came with black beans (a perfect œ cup, no fat involved) and rice (another œ cup, and green from the inclusion of sautĂ©ed spinach, cilantro, and poblano). Both sides were nicely al dente. My husband went with the reviewer’s other choice, Lomo De Res ($13), eight ounces of oven-roasted beef shoulder atop poblano mashed potatoes. Also delish. We both boxed half of our entrĂ©e for tomorrow’s lunch but still were satisfied. And I went only a couple of points over my daily WW allotment. Damn those tortilla chips! But boy, were they tasty. I’ve found my new favorite Mexican eatery. Now if we can just do something about that traffic.

Saturday Date Night

By LaToya H |

My husband and I went here on a Saturday night. It was very packed and busy but once we got seated everything came out super fast. The drinks were pretty strong and good. And the food came out soon after we ordered it. We had the tacos and they were amazing! The fried shrimp tacos were my favorite hands down but we also enjoyed the pork tacos and the fried and grilled fish tacos. The only item I didn’t care for was the churros we ordered for dessert. The churros themselves were great but I didn’t really care for the dipping sauces. The churros were advertised with chocolate dipping sauce in addition to two others. All the chocolate sauces I’ve had in the past were hot and melty. This was a cold, chocolate mousse. We weren’t a fan. It wasn’t at all what I was expecting. Other than that, everything was amazing. We’ll definitely be going back.

Three stikes

By Charles N |

Just came from dinner 7/14/21. I ordered the carne asada. This is the second time I've eaten here in the past few months. The last time, the service was atrocious. I had to go inside and ask for a service person to wait on us. Strike one. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas. I swear, there was little if no alcohol in the margaritas. Strike two. Probably not a good idea to order margaritas because it's easy to load 'em up with margarita mix, which can fool one into thinking they're good. I make better ones without having to think about it much. Limes, Tequila, Triple sec, although I prefer Cointreau. OK. I'm a bit of an alcohol snob. If I drink, I want to feel something more than a sugar high you might get with margarita mix. The food, when it came was good. Tonight, the service wasn't as bad, and still, it was difficult to get a service person to come and wait on us. Or get more water. For my friend to get more iced tea. I had forgotten my phone and asked for a real menu. I realize, scanning the bar code is the new thing, in light of Covid and is probably here to stay. The bar code thing. Hopefully not Covid. I don't mind the bar code thing. I think is smart and cool. However, we got one menu for three people. The food. The grilled flank skirt steak was tough and lined with loads of gristle. Not edible. I left it on my plate. Strike three. I got a to-go container for the black beans and rice and guac, which was good. So, obviously, with three strikes, I will not be going back. The sad thing is that it's within walking distance of my home. So, if you're thinking about going there, walk the other way.

Great neighborhood gem

By michaeldmcmillan |

Living in Atlanta for years and frequent the restaurants here but somehow missed this until now. Great staff, great food, and awesome drinks. Love spicy and will warn the devil's margarita is very spicy but good. Too much to drink one though

Excellent food, excellent service

By STLATL |

We were a very large party on a Sunday evening. Got served right away and had fantastic service. They had delicious guacamole. We will come back here definitely in the future.

Subpar

By skrosbrough |

Not really what I would consider Mexican food. Pricey for what you get. Place was packed standing room only at bar. Would not go back.

Decent food but consistently lousy service

By ZephirineDrouhin |

I don’t know why we’ve continued to go to Mescalitos, but those days have ended. I suppose it’s because it was quite good several years ago. And the food is still pretty tasty. But the service spoils everything. Case in point is our latest visit - 15 minutes, once seated, to get water or drinks. Then, one entree arrived and then it took, again, another 15 minutes for my dinner companion’s food to arrive. This was after another server came to the table to ask if my dinner companion ‘remembered what he ordered for his entree’. No apologies from anyone. Sorry, but that just is not acceptable. There are far too many Mexican and Tex Mex restaurants in this town to put up with Mescalito’s poor service. ps - the queso was watered down.

Great patio

By annetteangel |

This place was a great little place to grab dinner on a Friday evening. The patio was perfect, with umbrellas to block the sun and the short rain shower we experienced. Chips and salsa aren't a given, which was unusual, but I ordered the guacamole, and it was great. I ordered a couple of tacos with rice and beans and it all tasted great. The margaritas aren't bad, either.

Guac!

By Fun_Traveler45 |

I have eaten here many times and the Guacamole is to die for! It is a chunky style with a hint of spice and super fresh! I can't handle spice and the guac is perfectly balanced for me. The service is friendly and if the food is too spicy or you don't like it they will make it right. That is the key! Will go back again and again!

Great food and excellent service

By Dan C |

The staff was really accommodating and our little one enjoyed the patio. great food. Highly recommend this establishment

Air Conditioning probems that day.....Too crowded & Too Noisy!

By L J |

Would have loved a margarita to cool off. Hostess sat us at a table in a congested area - even though had reservations. Maybe will try again. Food okay that day. All contributed to the review....

Wonderful, need to ear here

By Jim M |

Great Mexican food and drinks. It maybe one of the best places for Mexican food in Atlanta. The service was great and very quick. I loved the avocado salad with shrimp, very tasty. They have a wonderful outdoor patio and will sit there the next time.

Fine but not great!

By Mrskoolcub |

The food was good. We ordered the poblano soup to start with which was tasty. My husband had brisket flautas and I had poblano enchiladas. Both meals weren’t great, but fine. The rice and black beans were both lack luster...needed salt. Upon arriving several of the tables were cleared of dishes, but messy when we first tried to sit down at them with crumbs and such at table. I’m sorry to say , but I wouldn’t go back if I were back in town.

Good Mex / Don't take my licence

By Tom T |

We did a Scoutmob deal which brought us to this place that we'd probably not noticed otherwise. I had stuffed peppers with green rice and black beans. Mariano had some skewered chicken kabob things. Both were very good. Margaritas where good. This is in the class with Bone Garden Cantina which is a good thing. Nice comfortable well decorated space. My only complaint is that because we used the scoutmob they asked for my drivers licence and disappeared with it for 10 min and I had to ask to get it back. These days I don't like surrendering my ID. I think looking at it to confirm should be enough. After a margarita or two I might walk out leaving my DL and be in big trouble monday morning trying to board delta.

Average at Best

By Kenzor |

I've been to this restaurant a handful of times now, mainly because it's in my neighborhood and easy when I'm too lazy to travel farther afield. There really isn't any other reason to eat here as there are far superior Mexican restaurants in Atlanta.

Not your average Mexican joint

By ExpatATLan |

We're happy to discover this place. We have our favorite standard Mexican places, but this is a cut above. The menu has much more interesting and traditional fare than most. Veggie chili relleno was great, delicious black beans, tasty green rice. Friends declared their pulled chicken enchiladas and chili relleno con carne to be excellent. Special of chicken breast in red chili mole was a tad dry (thighs would be better) but very tasty. Excellent margaritas. We'll be back. Very cool space to boot.

Wonderful experience

By Xaymaca4me |

I really enjoyed my dining experience here today with one of my friends who had been here before. We came early so as to beat the lunch crowds. The service from Marco was wonderful. My friend ordered the $2.00 tacos and I ordered the chicken quesadillas. Everything was fresh and delicious. Although this was my first visit, I do plan on it not being my last. Prices are very reasonable. I enjoyed the great decor with its unique features. I've never been to Mexico but somehow felt like I was there.

Great food and margaritas!!

By Shelly S |

Love this place! Found it by accident the first time and just had to go again. My coworkers loved it too. Prices are very reasonable and the food is great. They had a special on margaritas and they didn’t disappoint! Highly recommended

Best restaurant on the street (and there are many)

By somewhereingeorgia |

Six of us went for early dinner on a Sunday and had a great time. The restaurant was only 20% occupied at 5PM. We had excellent service, loved every dish that came out, and my house margarita was very good. The space was clean and tables had plenty of space around. For the price, the food, the service, and the fact they take reservations, we will eat here every time we are in the area and hungry. This is one of the few restaurants in the area with plenty of free parking in a private lot.

Perfect casual Mexican restaurant for Reynoldstown/Cabbagetown/Grant Park!

By puppypatrol |

Great food and service, reasonable prices - generous drinks! This has become our new neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Easy access, friendly service, quality meals. We go back every week now!

Room for improvement!

By CoquiMundi |

Mezcalito's needs to improve in some areas. Service was excellent, all employees were attentive and took some time to explain every plate and mezcal cocktails to our group 9+. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the decoration is a plus. However the food was ok, bland, and with no taste.

Nice place. Good location for East Lake Golf Course

By wheretonext123 |

The decor is really nice. The service was excellent and margarita was excellent! Even had a live musician on Friday (not sure on other nights). The only negative we found is they didn't have refried pinto beans only black beans.

Great Mexican-American Cuisine...

By Mike A |

My family and I stayed about a block away and decided to actually enjoy dinner by practically walking across the street. Environment was great, staff friendly....chips and salsa were off te chain. Tacos and salads were on par. I would definitely recommend this place if your in the neighborhood and the mood strikes for mexican!

Yummy!

By Ronniemull |

Had the Guacamole made to order - Delicious! Salsa has a kick! Briney Shrimp - delicious! Poblano Enchlada dinner - delicious! Lovely decor snd excellent staff and service!

I wanted to like it more

By HonestTravel |

I remember the Billy Goat Cantina days and knew that the menu and decor were similar. But the food was just o.k. Back in the day, the old Billy Goat Cantina was better (in Oakhurst). The space, decor and outdoor patio were good. The service was average. The margaritas were pretty good. The prices were a little high for the quality of food provided.

Outstanding food!

By Aaron W |

Wish I had a photo to post because it looked amazing! Which is always key to the start of a good meal for me. However, I’ve eaten it too quickly for little regard for some food photography.. I had the Brisket Flautas which were juicy, meaty and lots of spices for a great balanced taste sensation! Accidental find after visiting the cat cafe around the corner.

Nice Tequila

By Jydeoo |

Well, that's what we went here for. And it was well worth the visit. The place is very tastefully decorated and furnished, and the tequila was well presented and on point. Arrive with time to spare on festive days as this place is quite attractive.

A fun new restaurant on the south side

By Lynne J |

We recently had lunch at Mezcalito's, and it was a real treat. The restaurant is in an old Quonset hut that has been transformed into a pleasant eating spot. The food was not typical Tex Mex; it was much better, having some unusual combinations. For example, the mashed potatoes were green! They were infused with puréed poblano peppers and were quite tasty.

No Meat

By Mike G |

Went there for lunch and got the special of the day which was a chicken sandwich on a torta which is nothing more than a hogie bun. On a large piece of bread I had to look for the chicken which couldn't of been more than the size of a Krystal burger. My daughters meal was good she said so it was 50-50 I guess, I didn't like the idea you had to pay extra for the chips and salsa either. The worst part of it is I was on the potty 30 minutes after leaving.

Excellent food, friendly atmosphere

By Steve P |

It may not be the best neighborhood in the city but the food was worth coming here. Business associates had gone to a place with a popular name and waited about two hours for average food. We walked right in to this place on a Sunday night and had a delicious dinner and cold beverages in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. A gem in the rough.

Consistently Delicious!

By KTMATL |

We enjoy eating at Mezcalitos quite often, and it has become one of our “go-to” places in the neighborhood. We are like a broken record on our ordering—she loves the Fish Tacos and I love the Taco Chino. We both agree that the Torta de Milanesa con Pollo is also a treat in itself. Drinks are always great; service is always prompt, friendly and efficient. We are very glad to have this spot in our neighborhood and hope to be able to enjoy it for years to come!

Delicious Mexican Food

By CDM1960 |

The food was very good, some of the best cheese dip ever. The outside seating area was very informal and relaxed.

Skip the tacos!

By TXMARTINS |

The entrees & Salads were good but we found the tacos to be small & somewhat bland/dry - not at all worth the price. The queso was okay but small for $5. The margaritas were good with various flavors to suit anyone in your group. Good service, quick delivery of food if you don’t have long to stay.

Good Selection of Drinks and Tacos

By M V |

We enjoyed our Mango Margaritas and shrimp tacos on their outdoor patio. The food and drinks were very tasty. The service was a little slow, but good. They forgot to service some of the food ordered.

large, tasty authentic dishes

By jen m |

Our family of 4 visited for a late lunch and had a great authentic meal. The food was fabulous and the dishes were large, we had plenty leftover. We ordered chips & salsa, chicken quesadilla, veggie torta, and veggie tacos. The wait staff was friendly and helpful but they only had one individual waiting tables, it could have been as a result of the time of day we were there (mid-afternoon). There were folks of all ages, a family friendly place. Note that some of the decor was a bit strange and might require explanation for the kids. Food was great, we would definitely return!

Say YES to Mexican

By aprilcantrel |

After we said "Yes! to the dress in Atlanta, we decided to go eat at this restaurant. We were seated right away with a party of 8, and our waiter was very efficient. We had a gluten allergy at our table and she was accommodated happily. They had some authentic green salsa which was very tasty and an extensive menu option. I chose the Pescado Mezcalito's entree because why not, I love salmon. It was tasty and way to much to eat at one sitting. You should try this one but don't be thrown off by the spinach colored rice. It's delicious.

Side trip lunch

By James S |

So glad we got off interstate 75. 5 minutes to this Acapulco style Mexican restaurant. Excellent fresh food. Green sauce with avocados and tomatillo was very tasty. Nothing overly spicy. The veggie stuffed Chile relleno was excellent. Brisket taco for $2 was a good choice. Overstuffed and fresh with red sauce. Highly recommend stopping for something different. Easy on and off I75

Not Your Typical Mexican Joint

By ATLconsultant |

This place really surprised me. Everything they prepared had thought put into it. So rare at the run o' the mill Mexican joints around town. Textures and flavors were well thought out and this made for quite the enjoyable meal. First off, tortillas and salsa are not free (like many other Mexican joints in Atlanta) but they are quite good at a nominal fee. They deliver a tomatillo salsa and a standard red tomato salsa to the table with hot tasty and ample chips. Both salsas were extra pureed and it gave it more of a gourmet texture than the usual chunky. Both salsas were delicious but I think the tomatillo was the best tomatillo salsa I've ever tasted. The flavors were subtle but exact. A very good first impression. We ordered one entree item each and did splitsies. I ordered the steak and cheese quesadilla. My friend ordered the poblano pepper with carne. When mine arrived it wasn't very large. The accompaniments werent large either. I started to regret my choice. But then I dug in. The steak was expertly cooked and the piquant char-grilled flavor tickled the palate with yummy aromas and tastes. Mine came with rice. The rice is mixed with cilantro (light), poblano, and something else green (we asked). It was superb. Not an afterthought to the dish at all, but a vital component. On the side was a sizeable mixed salad with a tasty, light and somewhat sweet vinaigrette with pumpkin seeds. It was the perfect counterpoint to the starchy and heavy quesadilla and rice. So well thought out. My friend's poblano pepper stuffed with carne was sublime and different. The pepper actually had some heat to it (yeah!) and flavor (yeah!). The carne stuffing had unusual seasonings -- I think a bit of cinnamon was in there. It was unique and quite good. Again, not a large entree at all but the right size with rice and black beans accompanying. BTW - I'm not normally a fan of black beans but these were seasoned so well that I'm rethinking this. haha! They were the best black beans I've ever eaten. So good! We downed both dishes with pint margaritas (their "special" that night at $10 a pint -- not too cheap but crazy strong!). We finished off with dessert and degustifs of "1921 cream" -- a liqueur made from Tequila blanco, cream, and several spices. It was tres yummy. We normally split a dessert but we couldn't decide this time! And at only $5/pop we decided to select both and then just eat half of both. We did the Tres Leches cake (one of my favorite desserts of all time) and the caramel flan. The waiter asked me if i wanted vanilla or chocolate tres leches. I'm VERY MUCH in the camp of vanilla on this one. He arrived with a vanilla one but with many pineapples throughout. Wish I would have known beforehand becuz i'm not a pineapple person. But the dessert was pretty good (not excellent but pretty good -- the tres leches at Eclipse de Luna is the gold standard for me in tres leches cake). The flan's texture was unlike any I'd ever had before. Normally, I've had flan that is quite gelatinous. It jiggles like jello. Not this one. It was very thick with layers upon layers of cream and flavors. It had the texture of a killer creme brulee! We loved this dessert! I'm a convert, I must say. I hate that we don't have one in midtown but I could see myself driving out to Memorial for this treat again. We were at Oakland Cemetery for an art installation and the restaurant patios along Memorial were packed with people as a result (well that and the weather was just perfect that day). We felt fortunate that we were abl to walk directly in to Mezcalito's and get a patio table with no wait! BTW - our server was terrific and I watched the other servers too. They were all efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Definitely going to return to this joint.

Secret Gem

By jboke |

We were in Atlanta for the weekend and headed over to Mezcalito's Cocina & Tequila Bar after discovering the other nearby restaurants had too long of a wait. We're glad we did. What a surprise to find such a gem. The food and service were excellent. I don't think I'll bother going to the other restaurants on Memorial Dr ever again. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to eat in the area.

Diamond in the rough!!!

By Paradise7577 |

I was looking around for a non traditional Mexican restaurant and came across this wonderful place. It is located in a unique place off Oakland Ave. and they serve real food like on the boarder kind. My fiance who hates Mexican food finally found a spot he loves!!! he ate the Lomo De Res $12.95 Oven Roasted Beef Shoulder, on Poblano Mashed Potatoes and he loved it and wants to go back, I had the Alambres de Pollo $11.95 Chicken kabobs with cheese, onions, tomatoes, jalapeños. Served with rice, beans and guajillo-mushroom sauce, and my daughter had the Super Quesadillas $8 Pulled Chicken or $9 Grilled Chicken Large Quesadillas Served w/ Rice. Choice of Pulled Chicken & Cheese or, Grilled Chicken w/ Onions & Pepper

My return visit--you'll be interested in what I found

By Bill D |

Some weeks ago I wrote about Mezcalito's and said it was one of my favorite go to places for each great, authentic Mexican food. A lot can happen over the course of time. I visited again last week and I now have to report that Mexcalito's is STILL atop my list of favorite casual eating places--especially for lunch.

If you Don't Look For It...You Won't Find It

By DrM225 |

Tucked on a side street, behind Tin Lizzy's on Memorial drive, you will find a quietly kept secret. Mezcalito's Cocina has great food, great drinks, and great service. This is the sister location to the Decatur Square original. We have been there several times...each with the same level of excellence. This trip we had the fish taquitos and the chilaquiles -- both were excellent! We did dessert this time (cranberry bread pudding and churros). The laid back atmosphere, and wonderful decorations make this an easy spot for lunch or dinner. It is also real easy on the pocketbook!!!!

Mexican food extremely well executed

By Dean-ATL-USA |

We were part of a large group on the patio. I had tamales, which are my favorite Mexican dish but hard to find, and they were excellent. Guacamole and salsas served as apps were very good - we ordered more. Green chicken enchiladas were also quite good. The beer selection included good craft beers. I was impressed with the adaptations of traditional dishes to accommodate vegetarians.Service was a little slow as the place was very busy.

Great food at a great place

By Gus S |

Wasn't the easiest place to find, but on a sunny evening it was well worth the effort. Sat outside on their large terrace and was tempted by their various margaritas!! Dips followed and what a great selection. Main course was just a problem choosing - so many great options! As for their specials - well that just added to the choices. Finished up with some great desserts - all in all a very worthwhile trip.

Good atmosphere

By cloggerart |

We were in Atlanta for a business trip and this place was recommended. We loved the atmosphere. The wait staff was great and the food was excellent!

We had pork tacos - 2 different

By LuckySpivey |

We had pork tacos - 2 different kinds - with rice (made from spinach and needed salt but none on table) and black beans. They were ok. The chips and dip were very good, as was the chicken soup. The avocado was good but way too much lettuce and not enough “goodie.” It was a busy night and the restaurant was too loud to carry on dinner conversation.

Good Food, Good Value

By Yvette C |

You seat yourself, then the table service begins quickly. $2 Mexican beers (large cans) and a great menu make a wonderful supper.

Mexican food

By Karen P |

We found this place through the American Express Dining rewards website. We enjoyed our food and service was very good. Also some interesting artwork on the walls.

Good find downtown

By atlartmom |

Interesting decor, nice space. Service was good as was the food. The fried poblano appetizer was delicious. The jury is still out on the salsa which was not the generic stuff in most Mexican restaurants which is usually a good thing. The entrees were well executed. We would definitely stop by again when in town, though probably not make the pilgrimage from the burbs just for the purpose of eating here.
