An excellent spot for lunch. We were a group of 4 and ordered a variety of amazing appetizers and dessert of course.

Authentic Greek food (Greek family). Galaktoboureko was fresh and hot. Service was very good from George. Will go again.

Love greek food and this place is a gem! Tried almost every item on the menu(we have been going there since it opened). What stands out on the menu for me is the mussels, the greek salads, all their dips, chicken souvlaki platter, half roasted chicken, and all their shrimp entrees. We keep going back to Meze when we want good food and service!

If you couldn't make it to Greece this year, and can't go another day without saganaki, head to Meze in Dyker Heights. This quaint restaurant has the best octopus in the borough, and a very traditional Greek menu. The wait staff is so friendly and easy to get along with.

My husband and I travel to Brooklyn about every two months, and we love to try different ethnic foods from around the world. While Greek is not an uncommon ethnic food, our experience has been that it can be difficult to find really good Greek food, so on this trip to Brooklyn we decided to try Meze. We were far from disappointed. To start with, the waiter brought their bread, which was fantastic. It was nice and crunchy, but not overdone. We asked for seconds. The bread came with Kalmari olives in it, was toasted, and came with very good olive oil. For sides, I had a Greek salad. The salad itself was very good, but not the best I've ever had. However, the very good sized block of Feta cheese that came in the salad was the most flavorfull Feta I've ever had. The waiter said it was imported from Greece. My husband had the Sheftalies, which are grilled Cypriot sausages. He is a big sausage fan, and these are now among his top favorites ever. For entrees, my husband had the Pasticchio, which was very good. I had their Filet Mignon, which was done in a brandy mushroom sauce. While it was not the best Filet I've ever had, it was very good and the sauce was excellent. Their Greek fries were very good, and not too greasy. Overall an excellent experience, and we would definitely it. It was reasonable for the quality of food. The waiter was friendly and professional. Free parking was available very close right on the side street.

A friend of mine told me about this place and since we love Greek food, we decided to take a ride a little ways out of our immediate neighborhood. Well he was right, the food was great and the atmosphere was definitely Greek. The food looked so good and we watched as they brought numerous dishes from the kitchen and was amazed at all the different places that were being served. Huge portions so go hungry or decided to take some home.

My wife and I have been to Meze many times and have never been disappointed. The food has always been very good no matter what we order, either on or off the menu. They take a personal interest in their guests and service is excellent. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for real Greek food in Brooklyn this is the place! Although I'm not Greek I've spent a lot of time there and know what is good. Try the calamares, saganaki, lamb chops, chicken souvaki, Greek salad, tsatsiki and enjoy!

Have been here several time and have never been disappointed. Have had almost everything on the menu between my wife and I. Service is very friendly and knowledgeable. We get shared appetizers (saganaki, octopus, holumi cheese lemon soup) and our own entries. The lamb dish's are very good as well as the fish dish's. Highly recommended.

Had an early dinner here & the food & service were amazing! We started with the feta dip mashed with tomatoes, red onion & parsley& ladled it onto the warm pita triangles that came with it-totally delicious! I had the sausage plate & my wife, the lamb chops with spinach, both soooo good. We shared a wonderful rice pudding dessert, with honey & nuts, & a cappuccino. Great ending to a perfect dinner. Total with two alcoholic drinks was a hundred bucks, including the tax.

I was working in the area and decided to get some lunch. This restuarant was open and greek food is always an option for me. I eat lentil soup and chicken platter. The food was delicious and the prices were good. Total 23 dollar with tip. Not too fancy but a good place to have a good meal.

First time at this restaurant, authentic Greek food, friendly service, we had two little kids with us and the restaurant was able to provide everything we needed; not very noisy able to have a conversation

The atmosphere the food and the help are all very good. It's a must go to if you are in or visiting Brooklyn.

The food is always delicious .. fresh ...never changes if anything it gets better ...staff is very nice been coming here for years !!!

We yelped around until we found this restaurant. It had rave reviews so we had to try it. Service was slow and terrible. Our table setting was lacking a napkin (I never received a napkin during my meal even though I asked twice), and water was a commodity. I had to ask four times before we were able to get some. Oddly the wine was next to the water pitcher but he came back with the wine and never the water. Food was amazing when it finally came out 42 minutes later. A young lady did come over to us to check on us during our meal, she was very nice and friendly but that was the only interaction we really had with service.

Went for lunch, have reservation's for dinner, taking the whole family, the food is so good, the place is small and friendly.. so clean.. the food from the appi's to the desert was excellent... best Greek food ..who need's Manhattan prices, when you have such a fine dining right in the heart of Brooklyn, New York

Lived in Greece for over a year. Didn't get any of the nice flavors and tastes I was longing for. Even the moussaka tasted bland. Fish either was overcooked or not fresh. It lacked that fresh taste. Wine prices are also pretty steep. Maybe they have too many items on the menu! Just do a few simple things but do them well. Current chef may need to go back to Greece to pick up the culinary skills of Greek cooking! Male waiters looked like they were just doing it for the money. .... they didn't give the impression that they actually enjoyed what they were doing..... patrons notice when staff are happy rather than just fussing to get a tip! The two girls we met were more personable!

The food here is delicious. I've been here several times and have always had a good meal. Whether it's the grilled octopus or one of there Greek specialties the good is always right on.

I was here in April I loved every bit of my food.I would come back in a heartbeat if I was in the area.

A good friend turned 50 and this was her first choice, ir was our first time here and we will definitely be returning, food service excellent and if you like octopus then this is a must dish and musty place

Headed over to Outback on 86th street only to find out that a pipe burst and they were closed. I did a quick search on TA to find out what was near and found Meze close by. Drove over with 3 others and was seated right away. Clean, nice decor and friendly service. Ordered an app, Three for All, which was very good. Fresh ingredients you could tell. I ordered the Lamb gyro platter and enjoyed it a lot. This isn't a Gyro from an Astoria restaurant, but still VERY good. I would definitely go back here.

went here tonight with my bff i have heard amazing things about this place , i thought it was just hype but let me tell you its very very good, fresh as can be ,,, i recommend this to everyone from apps to dessert wow yum yum service was very good too i will deff be back !!!!

First time at Meze in Brooklyn. Expected better. The food was mediocre at best. Appetizers were just OK. Had the whole fish and it was pretty tasteless. Same for the potato sides. Seemed just boiled and tasteless. Server was very friendly but that does not make up for poor food. Even the "rich" rice pudding was watery. Going to Greece in a few weeks. Hoping to get much better food there.

We've gone there with friends and on our own - always had a good meal. This time our waiter offered us a new wine from Greece and it was great. Good Greek food, nice place, great staff and very friendly! Will keep going back!

Took the family to Meze the other night. We have been going there for years and have yet to be disappointed. The Greek salad was fresh and plentiful. The mussels appetizers are absolutely the best mussels that I have ever had. They also offer it as an entree over pasta. Main courses were superb. The grilled shrimp were outstanding. Huge as lobster tails and prepared perfectly. The Mediterranean shrimp were plump and fresh and the lamb was cooked to perfection. Cappuccino and Greek pastries to top things off. You can't go wrong with this place.

A little pricey, but WELL worth it. Very authentic greek food perfectly cooked. My favorites are the mousaka, baklava & Greek fries.

Meze is an unpretentious clean and friendly restaurant. Great seafood. We love the octopus and whole fish. All the appetizers are great. Big portions and reasonable prices.

Not a very good dining experience to say the least. Service was friendly, however, slow and screwed up order. Sent back twice! Not once- twice! Rediculous. No apology from management either. Gets 2 stars because lamb player and chix gyro were tasty. Would only take to-go. Make sure to tell them on the gyro not to load it with tzaziki sauce. Way too much.

very good service and their food is very good especially the mousaka dish. beautiful décor. waitress was on top of order and very accommodating.

I have only gotten takeaway so far, but the food is outstanding! The first time I called, I asked a lot of questions and the gentleman I spoke to answered every question and was very enthusiastic about my order. I have been back again since and the food was equally great both times. I would recommend the saganaki (broiled), the grape leaves, combination salad, Greek fries and lemon potatoes.

Every time I pass through Brooklyn I make sure to eat at this quaint place. The food is always fresh and the service is great. Everything is delicious....Try it if you've never been there. You'll be happy you did.

This was a first for me at a Greek restaurant, they had the music playing and showing Greece on a flat screen TV. My wife and I felt we were on vacation having dinner in a local Greek establishment. The food & service was great. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated due to the fact it was a Friday night and the place was packed. They only take reservations for large groups. This was our first time here ,we mention that to the waiter and he provided superb service and food recommendations!! We will be going back again.

Had a dinner with friends and was amazed as usual. Atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming with nice music playing that's not too loud. Prompt service with smile. Food is absolutely delicious, fresh and well prepared. Waiters are polite and pleasant and very quick at one's request. Everything we ordered didn't take long to be presented to us. I so want to go back there for more delicious food and a great experience of Greece right here in Brooklyn

the absolute best greek food ive ever had and ive had a lot. my girlfriend is greek and she also said its very much a "top notch" greek place.

Meze has typical Greek dishes. Fresh produce. Decent Mousaka made with beef rather than the tastier lamb. Delicious baked clams. My brother says the calamari is excellent. The Galaktobouretko custard desert is also decent.

Haven't had anything in here that I didn't like!

George and Maria (my lover) recommended great food in his native tongue. great night. TV nice extra with places to visit in Greece.

Excellent Food. Fresh Fish! Gives you the feeling of being in Greece with the Grecian Decor and Music. Big Screen TV showing site of Greece. Makes you want to get up and break some dishes. Excellent Service. Great for Romantic Dinner for two, or Family Dining. Restaurant is impeccably clean!

Restaurant was empty and we were a party of three. Water, bread and dipping oil came quickly. Restaurant was clean and we thought it was going to be a nice night. We placed our order. After 45 minutes the waitress came to the table with a free appetizer , which was good. She said she was sorry our order was taking so long. The problem was after eating all the bread and appetizer we were full and tired of waiting. Finally our food arrived, 15 minutes later, it was good but the long wait ruined the night. This place looks that it could be nice but unfortunately our experience was just ok.

Went to this place with my family this past week and I will definitely go again! The food is delicious: a real authentic Greek cuisine. Service was great! The waitress was very patient and accommodating. We took a long time to decide on our meal and made several changes along the way. Didn’t matter: she took down everything and did a great job! The whole place has an atmosphere of a family restaurant. IO think the prices can be a bit lower; but we had a great time and loved the food. My personal recommendations are grilled octopus and zucchini chips! Enjoy!

First of all the picture you show, is not the picture of the Meze Restaurant on 66th and 13th Avenue in Brooklyn. Food was great, came out with the appropriate break after the appetizers, friendly service. They weren't pushing us out of the restaurant, and let us linger over our meal. We ran out of wine, and they didn't come by to ask about buying another bottle, and we flagged someone down when we were almost through with our meal to get another one. Our biggest pet peeve? For the atmosphere and cost of the meal, cheap paper napkins are not the way to go. If you have to use paper, use a really good quality paper napkin. But linen/cotton napkins would be much better. 2 of us, food only, about $100.00.

Excellent authentic Greek food. We had grilled octopus appetizer, zucchini chips, cheeses, etc. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Wonderful service and ambiance. Will definitely return!

Went to Meze with a family. The place was empty, overpriced, you have to wait for a while to get your food out. It was gyro, lamb, pastichio, the food that already were pre made.. nothing special, anyway, we are not coming back.

Lovely Greek restaurant! Excellent food and service. A tad pricey, but worth it! Delicious salads! Order the grilled octopus! Delish!

The food here is very good. Everything is tasty. They also do a great job at parties. The waiters are nice. Only complaint I have I is that I wish they had a different menu for lunch. The prices are too expensive for lunch.

Whatever I had was delicious. The octopus is my favorite. The portions are a good size for sharing. Gets busy during dinner. Come early to get a table. Nice selection of wines. Service is OK, but could be better.

I had never heard about this restaurant until a friend of mine mentioned it to me. We went there together for dinner on Friday night without making a reservation. We were promptly seated, and presented with the food and drinks menu. They have a pretty good selection of Greek wines, and we both ordered different ones. Food wise, I ordered octopus for appetizer, and despite it hefty price it was totally worth it (our waiter even said that if I don't like, he will not charge me for it). I have tried octopuses in various restaurant, and this one was the best one by far. Chilean Sea Bass for the main course was also spectacular. Overall, I was quite impressed by the food in this restaurant, which makes me want to come there again to try their other dishes. I highly recommend it.

This was for take out. On time delivery. Hot and ready to eat. Good food for reasonable pricing. Convenient and close by.
Will not be returning...
Was craving greek food, so we looked up restaurants and found this one rated pretty well so we decided to give it a try. Went here with my fiance on a Sunday night around 6pm. Restaurant was fairly empty, ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entree's. The apps came out fairly quickly but we waited a long time for our entree's. It seemed like the wait staff was avoiding us. Other tables who entered the restaurant well after we had gotten there were receiving there meals. Finally after waiting over 30 minutes since we finished our appetizers, they came over and said they ran out of lamb, I had ordered a lamb gyro. Not even a real sincere apology. After asking how come you didn't tell me this 30 minutes ago, they seemed to just shrug off the question. Finally the food came out 15 minutes later. The food was okay, I wouldn't say it was good because of the interaction we had there. There was no sympathetic apology, no let me buy you a drink, or offer you a dessert, nothing! I will not be returning here
