This was some seriously great food. We ordered a lot of things a la carte so we could try a lot of items. The chile relleno was the BEST I've ever had. It's a family run restaurant and service was friendly and attentive. We just loved it and will be back every time we're in Miami.

The atmosphere almost sent us packing...while approaching from the street, the bright florescent glare made us peek in to make sure it wasn't a dry cleaner! Once inside a few dusty piñatas and touristy tchotchkes hang haphazardly stapled to the wall or tile ceiling. We arrived at 10:01, noticed with surprise that they close at 10 (on a Friday in Miami??). No hostess stand so we began to shuffle out (it looked full and lively)... but a waitress motioned and a table appeared - service was prompt & we immediately had chips and great salsa. They didn't start visibly shutting down until after 11 and we always felt welcome to order another round. The menu is stereotypical Mexican nothing gourmet here.... but prepared as if by a Mexican mom cooking in her kitchen- made to order, tasty, and inexpensive. The tacos de res, al pastor, and carnitas were really dtasty - not elevated with complex sauces, & toppings (like Mercadito or Rosa) - but simple, meat, onions & cilantro. Top with hot sauce & wash down with an ice cold Mexican beer and you'll be back!!

Everything here tastes excellent. Aunthentic Mexican food. Service and portions are good. Flautas, tacos, sopas, everything is delicious...and totally inexpensive. A place to eat at anytime if you want to try Mexican food. Highly recommended.

This is so far the best mexican resturant. I am not Mexican but my Partner and many of my friends are and they say is the closest to Mexico there is in Miami. Be have been going for the last 3 years at least once a month. I just love everything on the menu but my best recomendation for first timers is combinacion #1 I have a couple of friends from switzerland that as soon as they land we drive directly to the restaurant.

If you walk by not knowing this restaurant you would believe that it was some sort of cafeteria. The interior is a bit dull and the restaurant is located in a bit seedy area. The food however is outstanding! The tastes are unlike any mexican I have ever tried and the servings are big. We tried a few of the house specialties and can recommend them all.

Excellent authentically Mexican food with great affordable prices. Spicy or non spicy basically everything in this place is good. They have a Maxican bakery inside (cash only) you should try their corn cheeseecake, it is delicious. Rest can be very busy on evenings and parking can be challenging as well.

Mexican Food as at its best, That is exactly as it is in Mexico. Just delicious without any chance to complain about. Just top notch for everything from food to service. Drawback: Many people are aware of it and on a Sunday we had to wait even more than 30 minutes. But it is worth it. Not bad hombres to be found.

Ate there this weekend, and the place was fairly busy (usually a good sign). The food was authentic....service was another matter. But I do believe the waitress was real new, or perhaps just didn't know what she was doing. I'd give it another try, or maybe one of the other Mexican restaurants on the same street.

I absolutely love this place food is amazing, everything is so tasty. The Guacamole was so fresh and delicious. We had queso con chorizo as an appetizer and our main entrees were tacos al pastor and Flautas. We will definitely come back. TIp: Bring Cash there's is a small bakery inside, you have to try it.

So my friend and i stopped for some good mexican food, and we were not disappointed! The service was fast, and i got the #2 on combinaciones and it was the best mexican food i’ve ever had! 10/10 would recommend eating here! Parking lot is really tight so i suggest parking in the designated parking. Also it’s so authentic they speak their native language, which I knew spanish so it wasn’t as bad, but if I’m ever in Miami again i’m coming here!

Well guys. This is the real thing ... This is not taco bell. This is a mexican food place where you can appreciate the traditional favorite plates. Not fancy at all You can eat for 15 per head with soda. There is a small bakery INSIDE the restaurant that have among others, PAN DE MUERTO bread ... (death guy bread ? ) Well that bread is a sweet kind of desert bread that cost 3 dollars and YOU MUST try. It is a piece or culinary art and has a scent of ..... flowers. This bread is just an extraordinary desert by itself ... it is a tipical sweet food the DAYS of MUERTOS in Mexico as far as i understand. See picture attached. I recommend it .... Is a familiar place Clean bathrooms

This was the second stop on my "Food Tours in Miami" We had a mix of goodies, so you had an awesome selection of delicious foods this place offered. We had started out with some chips and salsa while we waited before the sampler plate (attached). This was some of the best I have had in Little Havana. There was a little something for everyone on this plate. Since it was just the two of us, it was way too much food. But I did try everything, and it was excellent.

This place along Calle Ocho is fantastic - the food is great, the service is great and it is not crazy expensive like many restaurants. And the location is great because you are on Calle Ocho so you can experience the area after a great authentic Mexican meal.

Excellent food. Mexican food prepared the traditional style in Miami, Florida...Very good prices and excellent service.

After getting lost in the Calle ocho, we randomly entered this restaurant. The waiters were very welcoming and brought us the famous nachos with guacamole. We tried the degustation dish which was amazing! We had such a great time that we came the day after for lunch and the experience was even better.

This is on 8th Street (Calle Ocho) next to Mr. Yum (excellent Sushi). This is good for a quick taco or burrito. Nothing special. Guac was OK, chicken tacos, needed to squeeze fresh lime on them because they were very dry, although still tasty.

We stopped here for a bite to eat before going to the airport. We chose this place based on Yelp reviews, which misguided us. This is not the best part of town. The inside is not very nice, but it is full service. The menu is cheap. Fajitas were less than our expectations. The guac and chips were good. Super basic and I would not recommend anyone to go there.

As a Mexican, I can tell you that this is authentic Mexican food made by Mexican. On our trip to Miami, we went to this restaurant twice. The prices are fair and the quality great.

Very casual setting, with very pleasant & attentive service. Authenic Mexican cuisine. We started off with queso fundido - excellent! Moved on to beef fajita, enchiladas, tostada ... Fantastic! Washed down with Modelo & Dos XX. Had to try the tacos ... A+! They have a bakery inside the restaurant ... Great dessert offerings. And, modestly priced. We will return!

Refreshing and comfortable take on standard and family style Mexican Cuisine. Great tacos, and combination plates at low prices, and Pacifico Beer and others for $2.50 a bottle (!) Love their homemade salsa picante too! Love these cool new little restaurants springing up in the Roads, Little Havana area like Lung Yai Thai, Doce Provisions and Mi Reconcito de Mexicana- great family style dining without the attitude makes for a nice change of pace.

Friday night we went to have dinner at our favorite Mexican spot. They never disappoint. Service and food are great. if you arrive to late, you can find yourself waiting for a table and parking. We tend to go around 6PM and it is not to bad.

Mi Rinconcito is currently my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. I find myself craving them all the time because the food is authentic and fantastic. It's a small location on 8th street and if you drive by there too fast you might miss it. We come here at least twice a month and always get the same thing (if it's not broken why fix it, right?). I always get the 3 carne asada tacos and my boyfriend gets the carne asada platter. Delicious! The service is not the greatest but the food makes up for it. I always recommend this place when someone asks if I know a good Mexican place.

It is understandable that after been hit so hard for the pandemic, restaurants raised prices, but this place has done it in a reasonable way. The food taste is very good and the portions are big, so the price increase is acceptable. And as many other eateries, service charge (another way to call a tip) is included in your bill, so be aware. But the place is clean, good food, good portions, good price prices and good service

On the ever famous 8th Street there are several Mexican restaurants, but for us this one is the best hands down. Its decor and ambience are not easy on the eyes, yet its food is plentiful, well seasoned, tasty and of course, spicy. So we suggest getting your palate ready for a trip of flavors.

This is a good authentic Mexican restaurant. Good food. Not overwhelmingly large portions. Staff were rushed and not overly friendly. It may have been due to the volume as it was my only gripe.

On a recent visit to Miami, I went to eat at Mi Rinconcito Mexicano. The restaurant is very casual with no frills. However, the food is excellent. Everything was very fresh and pretty healthy for Mexican food. Not a lot of oil used in preparation but a lot of taste. The chicken tacos with the sliced avocado on top were delicious as were the refried bean and guacamole appetizers we ordered. Lastly, the rice pudding, served with the cinnamon powder shaker on the side tasted like my mom used to make it. I highly recommend this fabulous off the beaten path restaurant in Little Havana!

Very affordable, authentic Mexican cuisine. Comparable to a home cooked meal in mexico. That good. Flautas, gorditas, enchiladas, quesadillas, nachos. Anything you can think of, its all good. The chicken, the meat everything tastes great! Lots of flavors for a cheap price. Very low budget casual place in Little Havana (not allapattah). Its honestly, one of my favorite restaurants hands down.

I'm originally from CA and the mexican food there is no joke. Moving to Miami, I had a harder time finding Mexican food that I liked. Mi Rinconcito is the closest I've found to Mexican food that I love and I am Mexican. You have to try! Love it!

Unpretentious and authentic! The Chicken Enchiladas in Green Salsa are my favorite. The Sopes, the Chilaquiles, the Queso Fundido are all so fresh and good. Next time you're craving for real Mexican food, give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

A very simple, laid back restaurant with an amazing menu and great service. I've been several times an as a Mexican I can tell you that everything tastes like you are in 🇲🇽. Their tacos are really good, the Pozole soup on weekends is the best, enchiladas and mole enchiladas a really good. But today I got Azteca soup with chicken and vegetables that was really good but the best is a new item in the menu: shirt ribs in green mole sauce, that's made out of the pumpkin seeds. It was spicy but delicious! This is my new favorite dish. You can companion it with horchata (rice) water.

Saturday lunch at Mi Rinconcito Mexicano was a delight! We opted for a sample platter that was more than enough for both of us. Flautas, tostadas and tacos. Paired with Pacifico beer for a great lunch. Yum! Not fine dining and not sure they take reservations.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food in Miami is the place to go. Small Mexican restaurant in located in the heart of little Havana in Miami. The food is great but service needs to improve. I've been to the restaurant before on several occasions, and the problem has been the same. They need more staff. Queso fundido en chorizo is a must.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of my son who has gone several times. We were met by Elizabeth who offered us excellent service. Very friendly and kind. Ask for her when you visit this restaurant. Food very good, and prices very reasonable. We recommend visiting this restaurant. We will return again.

We had a one night layover in an airport hotel so decided to get an Uber to the restaurant. It was a great way to get authentic food with a little flavour of little Havana. The food was tasty with a wide choice including vegetarian options. We went about 7:30 pm and got a table within ten minutes- it was busier later. The staff were really great at booking our cab back as we had no data!

Food was very authentic, the tacos and Flautas were delicious. The Margaritas were very good. Everyone loved the food.

The worst Cochinita Pibil ever! I'll definitely never go back again. The pork smelled and tasted as if it was rotten or something (it wasn't shredded either),and again the service was totally unacceptable.

This place had really tasty food for a good price. Well worth a visit no matter if you are there with family or friends. Nice staff to.

Home made Mexican cuisine, with great food and also a great service. We had alambre, tacos al pastor and cochinita pibil. I'll be back soon.

I have a long layover at MIA and decided to take an Uber here. I am loving this place. My mouth is on fire from the three hot salsas they brought me. I am having a delicious michelada to wash it down. For my main course I ate authentic lengua (tongue) tacos and some great soup. Food and service are top notch.

Notice I still gave it 5 stars! It is by far the best casual Mexican food in Miami. I'm not in a hurry when I go here so the overwhelmed service is just part of the equation. When they got a POS = Point of Sale I thought it might speed things up more than it has. They got rid of the bar seats but really ought to add a bartender. Beverages are still a big bottle neck and it's because all the servers are vying to get into the same cooler and space. On weekends get the Shrimp Ceviche Tostada and the Cochinita Pibil (stewed pork in banana leafs) for a whole new twist on Surf and Turf. The Chicken Enchiladas with Mole Rojo are the bomb. And the pork tacos adobo are good too. You cannot go wrong at this place.

I was excited about going to this place after many friends raves about it . First down was the chips brought in a extremely small paper basket size for about 8 chips ?? When we asked for more we where reprimanded?? Service was super slow and it was before rush like 4 pm . My Chile relleno was still cold on inside truly not a 5 or 4 or 3 rating . Floors where also very dirty ...

The restaurant was packed. The portions were more than we could eat. The food was hot and very good. Best Mexican food I have ever had.

Enjoyed everything at this restaurant. Great for vegetarians. Very efficient fast service. Guacamole was excellent. Recommend the enchiladas with the green sauce!

Really enjoyed eating here. Food was great, really great, distinct, clean flavors. Good atmosphere. Would go back for sure!

Have lunch with my kids today over this restaurant , first of all the serve you tortilla chips and salsa ( single portions regardless if you are seating with 3 more kids ) The tacos were like blahhhh not flavor , I ask for a soup And honestly ... water has more flavor , not impress at all .

Food is pretty good. Authentic mexican food family style. Try queso fundido or the burrito with cheese and sauce on top. Prices are not high. They have a small parking place behind the restaurant. There is more parking on 8th street.

Food still pretty good; they have all the suspects; tacos, enchiladas, chilaquiles, etc. Dońa Mary has not lost her touch and food is great; HOWEVER, service needs a major upgrade In the last visits we waited over an hour just to get our order in the table This las time arrived early with the idea to get our food faster.... well same result This may be oir last visit.....

We were told about this restaurant not too long ago by a colleague of my wife. We decided to visit and here is my review. First, this place is located in a historic district of Miami called Calle Ocho and part of Little Havana. The place isn't going to impress anyone, but it is a good dive if you want some authentic Mexican food. The service is a little slow even when the place is not busy. The food isn't bad, but isn't great. I travel quite often and I have found some great Mexican food in Miami, but this isn't one of them. The food I will say is average as it lacks something. What that something is I don't know. themthem. This

This restaurant offers the best Mexican food in Miami.

When we arrived we had about a 20 minute wait; the place was bustling and we soon found out why! Our server was friendly and attentive. The food extraordinary. We both had Enchiladas mole, one vegetarian, one chicken. Attractive, well-prepared, delicious, ample portions. We had a side of freshly made guacamole, also very good. After dinner we hit Rinconcito's bakery for some delectable treats for dessert and breakfast. If you are a Mexican food aficionado, eating at Mi Rinconcito Mexicano is a must.

We have better authentic Mexican food in Michigan. We ordered a burrito and something like a fajita. Neither had very lil meat and no seasoning in burrito. No sauce no salsa. Bland and plain. Asked for salsa but waitress could barely speak English. Pricey for the amount of food and quality. It was clean and staff friendly but food is.not worth the time or money .

I placed a phone order for dinner to pick up. The place was clean and full, with a line of customers waiting to be seated. The pick up service was good, portions were abundant, prices accordingly, already the check has a 15% charged as a tip, and an extra line if you want to add extra tip. I usually order for me a dish called Alambre, and besides been a good portion, the flavor was missing something. I did not find the chorizo, it tasted like just ground beef.

When we were looking for authentic Mexican food, this place was recommended to us and it's amazing. I ordered the combination 1 because it came with a little of everything. Service was good but there was quite a wait to be seated and we went at 3:30 in the afternoon before heading back toward Ft. Myers. Can't imagine how busy this place gets at real dinner times.

As a Mexican residing in Miami, this is the closest to the food I used to eat in Mexico. Authentic flavor !

Authentic Mexican food in a great location. it is not a fancy restaurant but the waiters make it perfect. The have great attention to detail, they are always smiling and ready to take your orders. The combination # 2 and tacos al pastor are one of our favorites. Homemade food always hot and delicious.

Besides the good price for generous portions, this place has an excellent tasty Mexican food. I placed my order to pick up and it was ready on time. By going there and see how busy this place is, you have an idea that it is good

A close friend who is Mexican recommended the restaurant to us and we were happy to follow her recommendation. The restaurant is simple and the prices are very reasonable but you won't be disappointed by the food. We ordered the Combo 1 & 2 for the two of us and it was a lot. They came with tacos (your choice of meat), sopes, gordita nachos and pico de gallo. Additionally, one came with a quesadilla chilango while the other came with an enchilada. We had a beer with the meal and a coffee when we were done, and left very happy with full stomachs. We will definitely be returning. Note: there is limited free parking behind the restaurant. Follow the narrow alleyway, right after passing the restaurant, to get to the parking area.

We love this place! Authentic Mexican cuisine at great prices! The salsa is spicy and the pico is spot on! Margaritas are premade - wouldn't recommend - i like mine freshly made - but the chilled modelo beer is a perfect choice.

Surprisingly tasty Mexican food. There is a great variety on the menu. We really enjoyed the combination meals and the steak meals. $63 for a family of 5 plus tip. The place is busy and noisy. Service was slow, but the server was very friendly.

Excellent food and great service, dishes huge, can be shared. Real Mexican food. In a word, Wonderful!

Ordered a to go order, noticed a 15% service charge. I asked the manager what it was since I wasn’t eating in, he took the receipt from me and said “I can take it off since you don’t want to help us”. Embarrassed but I don’t want to be charged $4.67 extra when I am not dining in.

Our favorite place to eat genuine traditional Mexican food. This place is cozy and they serve the best Mexican food I ever tasted. The favors are amazing and the staff is extremely nice.

Local family mexican restaurant in "Calle Ocho". I am Michelada fan and this place have great Micheladas! The original was great but the tamarindo (which I never heard of it) exceeded my expectations! And the food...oh the food...was delicious! Definitively I will be back on my next trip to Miami!

The restaurant is clean and great decorations. The service was great and the food was excellent. They offer a great variety of Mexican plates. free chips and salsa

Good food with all the favorites; however they made us wait for over an hour to get our food. Doña Mary should coordinate more her personnel.

This simple little restaurant on 8th Street is a great find. Authentic Sonoran-style Mexican dishes. Great tacos and burritos. Very clean and the service is good. Lunches are reasonably priced.

I am a regular costumer at this restaurant usually I order from this place 2 to 3 times a week, I placed an order To Go and I got Charged Service Charge, normally in Miami service charge on to go orders is not included but I did not bother me because I always leave a tip, but I makes mad The Cuban lady and the Dominican refuse to give a small chip side that normally they put on the table and extra green sauce, also they were very rude whit me and Said Is the lady owner who makes the rules Really Bad Service, Some of the Staff needs to be trained and Learn about Service Manners

so happy that we finally found a real authentic mexican food restaurant in miami! the place is very colorful, like a pinata just exploded! the service was excellent and very fast. our server, Cristina was very friendly and professional. the menu is huge, everything you can imagine. the tampiquena plate was fabulous the combination plate (flauta, gordita, etc) was really, really good. the plates are huges and plenty of food. love the chips and salsa. definitely a place to go few times a month.

The best authentic mexican food fit for us Americans you will find in Miami Fridays try the shrimp cancun style shrimp cocktail. Food is the best. Clean family oriented atmosphere. Need to improve in service but for the price you cant ask for more. Highly recomend it

My husband and I were in the mood for traditional Mexican food, and we found this perfect place. It is right at the beginning of 8th Street, neighboring Downtown Miami and amidst Little Havana but still very Mexican. One can select from an array of traditional dishes. I chose a combo - with a taco, an enchilada and a tostada; all delicious. My husband had a mammoth steak burrito which he claims was stupendous. We did have homemade guacamole and sangria, all good. The waitress was very nice and very helpful as she reviewed the menu with us. Definitely a casual place to go!

I've being living in Miami for quite a while now and so far this is my husband and I favorite restaurant for real Mexican food. The prices are unbelievable low for what you get and the quality of the food AMAZING. One of my little jewels hidden right in the middle of the historical Little Havana. Would definetly recommend to all my friends even my fellow Mexican coworkers who rate this as the best homemade food ever!

An authentic Mexican restaurant in Miami. The place is simple but the food is wonderful. Don't miss the Nachitos, the pork tacos and the margaritas. A great experience to repeat.

We were having Mexican food withdraws while in Miami. Looked this place up and decided to try it. Then food is as authentic, as you will get in Miami. The combination place is what I settled on and probably the best choice if you want to try a little of everything. The price point is excellent! Definatly will go again if I am in town again.

Ate lunch here on a weekday, and figured the place must be good since it was packed with spanish speaking locals. I was not wrong, both the enchiladas and flautas were delicious! We also got both our drinks and later the food within minutes of ordering, despite the place being packed.

We ordered dinner yesterday and it was as usual there: big portions at very good prices. The flavor is excellent and the food was on time. We visit this restaurant on a regular basis more or less. I love their dish called Alambre, and my daughter loves the Tacos Chorreados

Before I even start talking about the food, I must say that cleanliness is definitely not one of their strengths. I found left over food on my flatware nicely rapped up in a white Clean! napkin; the table top was paved with a fantastic oily-sticky mix and... I'll stop here. Moving on, we were hoping to find authentic mexican food, we found just another fast-food place; actually I would rate Taco Bell higher. Finally, the place is busy and noisy, the service is slow but decently friendly.

We love to visit this place when were in the mood to have Mexican food. They changed the menu up adding new great items to the good ole classics. Prices are SUPER cheap!!! We had a great time. As always...the staff is AMAZING!!! Last night there were no tables available and we still got our food served within 15min from ordering. It really is a great place and CHEAP!!!! And the quality of the food is great.

This place serves delicious food. There's hardly any parking though. Service is good and the place is packed on weekends.

Food Is amazing, very affordable and tasty. Real Mexican food. Unfortunately the service is less than average. Every time I go there something happen. Once, They forgot my appetizer and another time my waitress told they don't have milk when I order a " cafe con leche" 2 minutes later I saw another waitress bringing coffe with milk to a costumer sitting next to me. But I always come back because the food is amazing

I went to lunch with a Mexican friend and it turned out to be a great find. Not pretentious but it has great authentic Mexican food. I had the chicken enchiladas & he had the poblano peppers. Both were excellent. The staff was friendly & welcoming. They also have daily specials.

While visiting Miami I was feeling like eating good Mexican food! And It's done ! Good service, prices are correct and food is just great !! Enjoy people !

We ate there for lunch. Waitress took order, never saw her again. Had to ask for check. $26 for burrito and Fajita. Beef burrito had no meat. Colorful Mexican hats on a wall does not make a restaurant "authentic Mexican". Think Taco Bell but triple the price.

I have had great Mexican food and in this restaurant the food I don't think is even prepared by a Mexican, the food was tasteless, we order the lengua tacos, tacos al pastor and one carnita burrito, none of the dishes had the complex flavor that I love in mexican food, I kept adding salt to have some flavor, the refried beans are from a can and the chips were stale, I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Went here for lunch after walking around Little Havana. Pretty casual hole in the wall. Tons of vegetarian options. We ordered a tostada and enchiladas. Both were very good but the mole enchiladas were out of this world. Probably one of the best mole sauces we’ve had. Definitely worth visiting!

This is a very casual small place in Little Havana, if you bnlink you miss it. It's located on the North side of Calls Ocho (SW 8 street) so stay on left side of road. Went with my daughter on a weekday @ 5ish, place was fairly empty. You seat yourself. I don't love the decor, I think it would be amazing if they decorated more Mexican so you can get the real feel of Mexico. Enough about the decor BC you want to know about the food! We ordered the small guacamole dish, which is a good size for small and it was delicious. Totally homemade taste! You get complimentary chips and hot sauce and hot it is. I like spicy and this one was a bit hot for me so careful. The refried beans are also really good with the chips and again its a good size portion for sharing for 2. I ordered soles, oh my! I had never had these and they were yummy!!! Its a small round thick tortilla topped w refried beans, beef, cilantro, onions and sour cream. Three to a dish, it's an appetizer but it was so big it became my meal. My daughter had the beef tacos, also 3 per order. They were a good size filled with tasty meat cut in tiny pieces, not ground just cut, they are served w onions and cilantro which you can request on the side to avoid overload. No room for dessert, sorry. They do sell beer and wine and their sangria is non-alcoholic. Best part?? It's very affordable and service is slow, which I love bc you can enjoy your meal and company, no rush there. I really recommend this place to locals and travelers.

The food here is authentic and delicious! The service was great as well. It is a small place with home cooked meals. I recommend the tacos choreados and the queso fundido.

This bustling restaurant is on Calle Ocho, but it's slightly off the beaten tourist path (i.e., not quite in the heart of the district). Therefore, the customers seemed to be exclusively locals. I had the enchilada plate. I had a chicken enchilada with mole, a cheese enchilada with red sauce, and a beef enchilada with green sauce. Absolutely delicious, and the refried beans were excellent too. The value is beyond belief!

Really nice food, fresh as can be. Even the leftovers I took home the next day were very tasty. Nice local place, would love to go back.

Many years we've been driving 20 miles to eat authentc mexican fare. This is the real deal. We are mexicans. This is NOT texmex. There's also a panadería (bakery) inside.

Being back in the usa one of my goals was eating good mexican food. Mi riconcito did not dissapoint. I am a vegetarian and they made the combination plate (taco, burrito, tortilla etc) in vega version. For my friend it was First time mex experience and he loved it. Parking behind the toko and busy but we got a table quick.

This is a little hole in the wall which you get a great meal for almost nothing. I have been coming here for almost 5 years. And it is a no thrills place. Nothing fancy...very cafeteria type. But the food is really fresh and cheap. If your in this area....you must stop in for a bite. You will love this place.

I had been here a year ago, and remembered it to be nicer. Came back with friends, and the food was just ok. Maybe I didn't pay attention the first time around, but this time I was more into detailing the place, and it is not even nice to be there. The food tends to be closer to real mexican than the usual tex-mex stuff you'll find around; but still it is not really good. Would look someplace else for Mexican food.

It continuous to deliver real Mexican food and very decent prices and doddery good ingredients. During Corona times outside seating is available and service continuous to be as in Mexico. The Babacoa de borrego is just delicious. Also very interesting to drink Jamaica or Horchata.

A Mexican friend recommended this restaurant and we've been back many times and never been disappointed. It's a simple restaurant with good food and service. Almost always packed but they still manage to seat you quickly. We enjoyed the "tacos revolcados" made with chicken; a healthy serving of shredded chicken plus other ingredients on a corn tortilla. It's the 2nd half of October and the restaurant was all decorated for "Day of the dead" including these skulls (pictured) sculpted from sugar. Note: this part of Little Havana has mostly paid street parking but the restaurant has a few free off street parking beside and behind the restaurant

I love this place, it's the place to go when you are craving authentic Mexican food. the staff its very nice, always helpful. Been here multiple occasions including breakfast and it never disappoints me.

Simple and authentic tacos! Every dish is satisfying and the atmosphere is great! Very attentive waitresses who came around many times to check on us. S

Great portions and great flavor , I've been here about 4 times and left absolutely satisfied every time . I usually get the al pastor taco trio and I ask them to add avocado which makes them even better . Prices are fair and service is good . The combo #1 is also a great option and a lot of food . The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the decor, inside it looks like a makeshift restaurant with no thought put into the design . Ambiance is lacking at this restaurant and the tables and Chairs are very basic . This is the type of place where you can go to grab a quick bite and go .

Family-style restaurant serving authentic mexican tacos and gringo-licious variations of the classics. No pretention, no stress, just wait your turn and enjoy. Great for big groups and families of all sizes. I wouldn't come on a first date, though... the refried beans are hard to resist and easy to spill ;-)

I visited this restaurant last night and I have to say I was very pleased. Service was good and food was awesome. As an appetizer I ordered the queso fundido and as an entree I ordered the Alambre. It was just amazing. I accompanied my meal with 2 really cold Coronas, or course. After all, it was a Mexican dinner. Would definitely return soon.

This is a little hole in the wall with excellent food. I was not expecting great Mexican food but indeed it is the best Mexican food I have found in Miami. I recommend their tacos. They are exquisite.

The food here is really good and the prices are reasonable. One thing I like is that they have horchata. The service is pretty good, but the night I went they were really busy. My typical dish is the enchiladas verdes. They green salsa they use is just the right amount of spiciness. The only down side is that the restaurant doesn't seat very many people, so if you show up on a Sunday evening, you will most likely find yourself waiting about 20 minutes to be seated.

Went there not expecting a lot ... but I was very surprised food is really good , authentic , drinks are really good agua Fresca de Jamaica , queso fundido , enchiladas todo es delicioso , everything was amazingly good , we wanted to eat everything on the menu . Plates are big and not so expensive food is great and Service is fantastic helpful and friendly ! You need to be patient to be seated 4 minutes waiting time ,this place is really popular and always full . Nice typical Mexican Fonda look like restaurant , not a fancy place but more a typical place . Enjoy we did ! Provecho

First, parking is hard to find. They do have a little parking in back, but the neighbor hood is not desirable and its away from being able to be watched. You can park in the street if a space is available, but you have to pay. Second, mostly this would be for Spanish speaking, as English only we had a hard time conversing what we wanted. Third. We checked the reviews from the local sources and this place has very good reviews so I was very disappointed that I did not like it. We were a party of four and none liked it. Most likely because we prefer Tex-Mex. We ordered a large Queso and was probably our biggest downfall as it was horrible in my opinion, it was very hard and clumpy like it was made from cheddar cheese, one big glob in a pitcher of butter, NO way it could be used for dipping. We had to cut it with a knife into pieces. I ordered a Relleno and asked for queso sauce rather than the red sauce. We got charged for a full order of queso just for a small substitute and it ruined my Relleno, but I ordered prior to getting the appetizer, so had not noticed what the queso was like. My wife ordered Flautas and they came completely covered in sour cream, she hates sour cream. They would not remake, so she wiped it off best she could. They offer no tea except canned and all drinks are canned so no refills. I will say that the guacamole was excellent, they did bring us some very hot corn tortillas, though I prefer flour, but still very good. The pico was excellent and the beans and rice very good. The service was acceptable but not above decent. The prices were mid range. Overall I would suggest this place only if you speak Spanish, and prefer authentic style Mexican food. For us, the Queso ruined it for all of us and not telling us the toppings had sour cream. They overcharged us by charging for a second full order of queso and they offered us no alternatives or compromises on the bad food. Maybe if you order something different you may like it, but for us, we will not return.

Just west of Brickell on Calle Ocho is this great little place in Little Havana. Don't expect anything fancy. This is one of those places that you have to hear about before you are likely to go there. I only mean this in the context of someone new to Miami, as well as new to Little Havana. And, like the area, once you get in it, you fall in love with it. The tacos are just excellent, blending the right mix of flavors for an experience that, thankfully, rescues me from the Americanized Mexican food of my past. If you are in Miami, grab a few friends, head over to Mi Rinconcito for lunch, order up some tacos & Negra Modelos and you will be happy you did.

This little gem on calle ocho is defnitely worth visiting. The ambience is more cafeteria than cantina and the service can be a little slow, but who cares? The food is AWESOME! I've eaten here twice. The first time I ordered three tacos-tongue, carnitas, and al pastor (you have to ask for al pastor, it is not on the menu. All three were excellent. Last night my party and I each had Combinacion 1 which included a little bit of everything-Gordon's, enchilada, taco, flauta, nachos, and sopes. One thing to note is that the chefs put whatever meat they want on the combo items. My taco was pork, my husband got steak, and my father in law had chicken. Again, who cares when the food is of such high quality. Oh- salsas are fantastic. You may want to brush upon your Spanish before stopping by.

Believe or not true authentic Mexican food is not easy to find in south FLA. We literally drive 30 miles to come to this place. The tacos are amazing. Try the tacos revolcados and you will be hooked. The soples are legit and so is the guacamole. If you are in Calle 8, look for this place.

Maria Gomez has a super hit authentic Mexican eatery; not at all pretentious, it has outstanding and varied dishes. Amazing tongue tacos, best in town by far. Highly recommended.

This is the best Mexican food I've had. The queso fundido was great. The michelada was refreshing on a hot day. We split the combo platter and loved the quesadillas.

We stopped for supper last night and may go back again tonight. We enjoyed the Queso Fundido con Chorizo for an appie. Our entrees were Burrito Chorreado- chicken- and oh my gosh the mole sauce is amazing, and the evening special of Costillos de Carne con Salsa Verde. Sooooo good. The guacamole and salsa verde were impeccable.

Food was great, everything was fresh and Flavor was amazing. Restaurant is not big but size definetly does not matter here

First time here and will be back, The food was awesome! The service great. Anything on the menu is awesome.

When you think about real Mexican food this restaurant is the place to go, service is good , food come to you really fast flavor are on point y really highly recommend it.

Since I don't particularly care for Mexican food, it's hard for me to write a reivew. But, I will try. Cute place in Little Havana. It seems to be where everybody wants to eat. It's clean, and friendly, and spacious inside. Lots of people were in there enjoying the food. It is a very friendly, casual atmosphere! Service was excellent; the servers really hustle. I left a lot of stuff out of my vegetarian burrito, and put in some stuff - and they did it perfectly. It was very good and I enjoyed it. Everything was fresh and tasty. They bring you out some chips as soon as you sit down - they were good. I noticed a lot of different plates coming out, and you definitely don't go hungry here. The prices are cheap and it is a lot of food. I brought home half my burrito. In the back there's a little bakery area, but I was so full, I didn't get a dessert. One thing I appreciated, they have a big section for vegetarians. They have lots of different things filled with veg items. I like that. Free parking around the back or on the street. I WILL be back, despite my non-love of Mexican food!

This restaurant was an unexpected pleasure. The waiter was helpful in describing the various selections on the menu. The restaurant had the warmth that only a family run establishment can have. We are not experts of Mexican cuisine, but we have eaten Mexican cuisine on the west coast and in Canada. The tastes were wonderful. Every dish had it own unique spices and flavours. After sampling a number of dishes, we turned to the bakery at the back of the restaurant. Here we had a number of pastries and purchased a number of items for our breakfast the next morning. In all this was a wonderful evening. We are staying on the west side of Florida and CPU ting the days to our next visit to Miami so we can eat here again!

My girlfriend and I stopped for lunch there and ordered the tacos. It is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant. 👌👍

Moved to Miami a few months ago and have been struggling to find a decent Mexican joint. Coming from Chicago where there are taco/burrito shops on every corner, we were amazed to find a lack of authentic Mexican places in Miami. This place is located in Little Havana and was bustling and busy when we went on Friday night. We ordered tacos and a combination plate with tacos, sope, fried taco, nachos, enchilada, and a flauta. Everything was delicious. The combo was $9.99!!! I almost had a heart attack that our bill was only $27 with a few beers and a flan to boot. The wait staff were attentive and there was an additional bakery in the back with an assortment of sweet breads available. This is now our go-to Mexican restaurant in Miami.

You must start with the Queso fundido with Jalapeños, then chips with fresh Guacamole and the Carne asada Tacos with cilantro and onions are finger leaking !!! All thus with a cold Pacífico beer and flan for desert !!!! Prices are very reasonable as well. Friendly staff and fast. Highly recommended !!!

This is one of the few restaurants I haven’t gotten sick at. We went last night and I ordered the al pastor tacos (3 for 6.00) and they were delicious, filling, and I left happy and healthy! We ate two orders of tacos and an order of guacamole for 22.00. The service is great, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the food is celiac safe!

Smack in the center of Calle Ocho (Southwest Eighth Street, the heart of Cuban dining in Miami) one finds this no-frills Mexican cantina. Like a diner on steroids, the large dining room is often quite busy but I'm at a loss as to why this place has the buzz it enjoys among Miami diners. Service is friendly but painfully slow and disorganized (this is usually a sign of poor management rather than poor servers) and the food is average. Compared to a wonderful taqueria like Coyo a mile away in Wynwood, Mi Rinconcito is lackluster. The soft corn tortillas have little flavor and in the several variants I tried the fillings were uninspired- one pork filling was dried out and another included pineapple with the pork, but it was tasteless. The guacamole is good and the prices are extremely low, but it's nothing special and hardly worth a detour.
This is not TEX-MEX
Good Mexican restaurant with a "family' feel. This is not a fancy place - good Mexican food at good prices.
