Pizza before the Cubs game

By Traderjoey |

We stopped in here before a Cubs game. It’s about a 10 minute walk to Wrigley Field. The pizza was crispy on the outside, a nice sweet sauce, and tasty sausage. I wish they had kept it in the oven about two or three minutes longer as the middle section definitely could’ve been cooked longer. A lot of TVs with sports going on, good atmosphere, clean restroom, good service.

Good sports bar

By Richard M |

Great place to go watch a game. Wings are fantastic. Cheap beer. Really good service. Everything at a very reasonable price. Pizza isn't great - the sauce is too sweet. Seating is almost always available.

Great pizza

We go once in a while for pizza and we love it.great place to watch a game. They also have free wifi. The servers are great and in the summer they have a nice space out.

Fresh and delicious pizza

By joaniemaria |

We stopped on a Friday for lunch after receiving recommendations from friends. Had a Greek salad and Michaels deluxe thin crust pizza. It was all fresh and delicious. You can dine indoor or out. There are many TVs inside to catch up on all the sport scores. Within walking distance of Wrigley Field. We will return and I recommend a visit.

Heaven On A Plate

By Mindy M |

First visit to Chicago and of course we HAD to try the pizza!!!! We were staying Uptown and Michael's was close so we gave it a try. So so good. Cute neighborhood sports bar, good service, delicious pizza. Price were incredibly cheap. Wonder if they ship to Texas?

Great Food, Great Service, Great Visit!

By AGrzenia |

We were in town visiting family that lives right around the corner from this place. We used to live in Chicago and have missed the pizza, so our first night in, we walked around the corner to Michael's. It's the kind of place you'd expect to see as the "regular" hangout for a group of friends on a sitcom. It felt very relaxed in there, everyone there was having a great time - watching games, or talking with friends after work. And on top of that, the pizza was AMAZING! I just wish that we had pizza places like this in Louisiana, but I'll have to settle for my own copycat versions at home. Definitely a great place to visit!

Good Sport Bar

By Elias |

This is a very good sports bar, the prices are very good, and the food is tasty. The staff is very friendly. They also have delivery.

Tasty Pizza!

By Paddy L |

We ordered pizza from Michael's recently based on a recommendation from someone we trusted who happens to LOVE pizza. The pizza overall was delicious with a thin crust, fresh ingredients, and a sweet tasty sauce. When we arrived to pick it up, we had the chance to see how lively the place was and how it appeared to be a local favorite. Also, the large pizza is really generous in size so we had a second chance to enjoy it and believe it or not, it was just as tasty on day 2 as on day 1.

TV central

By jetsoo |

Not sure if another television could fit in this sports bar, we were there Saturday night to watch the New York/Astros game (since we couldn't watch the Cubs😕) One of our party got a 12 inch deep dish and raved about it. The rest of us split the thin crust and that was excellent. They also offer ultra thin crust, not sure what that was but sounds interesting for next time. Service was attentive and consistent. The deep dish took a little longer but the server warned us about that.

Tavern Style Pizza

By SnappleSpice |

This place was recommended by several people for their tavern style Chicago pizza, which I had never tried before. Although it was good, it wasn’t my favorite style of pizza. Staff were friendly and helpful, giving good recommendations. The place itself felt like the average sports bar.

Chicago's deep dish at it's finest

By Shellie P |

If you're looking for Chicago deep dish pizza, this is the place for you. The deep dish won't disappoint and for the non pizza lovers there's a wide variety of options as well. If looking for somewhere to eat before heading to Wrigley, this is a great option as it's a nice easy walk to the park.

Good local pizza between Uptown and Wrigleyville

By PamplonaBound |

We have ordered pizza and salad from Michael's for when we have had big family gatherings nearby. The pizza is always ready on time even when it is a big order. Love the sweet sauce on their thin pizza. Sausage pizza is very tasty, but I especially love the spinach and veggie pizza.

Excellent Locals Bar/Pizzeria

By MartynG_11 |

Great find in the Buena Park neighbourhood of Wrigleyville. A nice locals atmosphere and really friendly service throughout. Ordered a 14” Chicken & Jalapeño regular thin crust pizza, a Pacifico beer, and a glass of Pinot Noir. The pizza excellent and the bill a little over $30. Locals prices and lovely service. This was near the Pride festival and the Cubs had played and the bartender warned me of a 40 minute wait but I really didn’t mind. Highly recommend this old school style bar and pizzeria.

Horrible Service

By mel04Chicago |

Extreme horrible customer service!! Beware!! I was a loyal patron of Michael's for three years and service was completely horrible. The driver always insisted on a tip and the phone service was abrupt and confrontative. The last and obviously the last time I called the phone operator hung up on my friend and I called back. We give them a lot of business I might add. The phone operator told me that "You know you need a $10 order to deliver, you should know that by now, every time you order you know that." I've given you guys business for three years of course I know that. I would have ordered a lot more and given you guys a lot more if he was not rude in his manner. He has always been rude, abrubt, and did not have any concern or even a slight care about a customer that has been loyal for three years. I am in the industry and will tell everyone and their mother about Michael's care about people and their well being.

Post Cubs/Cards game

By Marv R |

Our niece who lives in Chi recommended this restaurant. We were in town for a baseball game, etc. & walked from Murphy's Bleachers to Michael's. The service & pizza were great. We ate on the patio so great atmosphere. It rained, but they have numerous red umbrellas, so we stayed dry.

Great Local Flavor

By Wes Y |

Stopped in on the way to a concert with friends. We didn't have a lot of extra time and got there just as it filled up, but they squeezed us in at a small table by the window. They offered to move us to a larger table a few minutes later. We appreciated the offer, but declined because we liked the location by the window. They were slammed because the Blackhawks were playing and most of the customers were wearing jerseys and watching the game on the many televisions. Great atmosphere! Because of the large crowd, service was a bit slow, but we didn't mind because they were friendly and hustling to accommodate everyone. The have a decent menu. We had 2 different pizzas and they were both delicious. Will stop in again when we're in the neighborhood.

Best sports bar on the north side

By ajnd24 |

Michael's is a go-to spot for everything from college football games to late-night food after the bars. The food, especially their thin crust pizza, is phenomenal for the price, and they offer some of the cheapest prices for drinks/pitchers in the city. Their staff is always very friendly, and they have tons of TVs and a projector playing different games all day long. I visit Michael's once or twice every week and would definitely recommend it for dinner with friends or family.

Great place to eat

By Hanna P |

It's a great neighborhood bar with great pizza and beer. Also a great place to watch sports. Service is fast and friendly.

Not "fine dining" - but a fine neighborhood spot!

By RunawayBoomer |

I just moved away from Michael's neighborhood, and I will miss them. I waffled between rating them a 3 or a 4, but went on the high side because of service and my feelings of nostalgia. This is a classic Chicago neighborhood tavern. The menu includes burgers, pizzas, and the like, and there is a full bar. The decor is loaded with sports memorabilia and big screen TV's. My only real complaint is that sometimes the volume is too high on the TV's, even when they are not busy. I loved having a burger here with tater tots and cheese sauce. I know - decadent. Your fellow diners with be from the neighborhood, often young people just off work, or a softball team after league play. Whatever sports event you want to see will be on TV somewhere inside. Prices are very reasonable, service is friendly and quick, and there's an outside patio when the weather is nice. Enjoy.

100% Neighborhood Sports Bar and Grille with a Menu

By DoogieT |

I personally know the owner so say hello to Miles. This is the neighborhood sports bar and restaurant. Primary for pizza but my wife eats off the menu and delights in it. What I like most about the placce is Miles and the staff, what a nice crowd they bring in for food, games and just in between sharing a beer with a friend. Miles is very generous making contributions to St. Mary of the Lake parish (3 blocks) events whenever asked. This is also a walk from Montrose Beach, Wrigley Field and the Cubs and all the activities taking place surrounding Clark and Addison.

Best Tavern Pizza in Chicago.

By Charles B |

Best tavern pizza I've ever eaten. Great ambiance, service, prices, drinks and food. The wings were delicious, the pizza even better. Loved the white sauce. Jesus is a great server.

One of the Best Pub-Style Pizza Places

By ChicagoChristopher |

We like to break things up by stopping by Michael's for a pizza every now and then as a break from ordering them in (too often). :-) They have enough TVs to show all the games, but more importantly they live up to their name as a pizzeria! They serve a great pub-style (squares, thin crust) pizza. Their beer selection is decent with specials and deals on pitchers. Apps such as jalapeno poppers are very tasty, too. Check them out.

Hidden gem

By Bill E |

Hidden away on north broadway is this delightful neighborhood bar. Featuring sidewalk seating they have quite an extensive menu that includes most any beer you may desire. Inside are several TVs for enjoying your favorite sport. A very unique bar in today’s world of rubber stamp chains. Good job guys.

Best pizza in Chicago!

By Meghan D |

Michaels has not only the best deep dish, but also the best thin crust white pizza in all of Chicago! They have a ton of TVs and board games and have a great staff and many loyal patrons. Michaels is a truly special neighbourhood joint!

Great local find

By chisoxhack |

Quick lunch. Great burgers and apps. Nice Greek salad. Great prices. Will be back. Oh excellent service and staff!!!

the pizza is scrumptious!

By Road10907 |

I was looking for a pizza place in my new neighborhood. Actually one of my neighbors recommended me when they saw me walking up the street. I must say that I was pleased. I went simple with the small cheese and sausage. I couldn't stop eating it. It can actually feed 2. Very cheesy and flavorful. Mmmmmm!

Great place to watch a game

By CUTiger81 |

A friend and I stopped here for a quick lunch when we first got to Chicago. It wasn't that busy because we got there right after the lunch rush. But I can see this place getting packed during a big event. The place has a nice neighborhood sports bar vibe. They have plenty of TVs, so you can watch any sporting event that is going on. We both got "Da" Cheesy Beef. It was amazing; didn't need to add any type of extra seasoning or sauce. The beers were reasonably priced. I would definitely go back.

Great pizza

By Jimmy W |

I am a lifelong Chicagoan and I know about pizza. Michaels is one of the best for their thin crust pizza. The prices are reasonable and the delivery is pretty fast and I live a bit far from the resturant.

Great neighborhood spot

By michaelstiuso |

A great neighborhood feel, and a great place to watch a game (or several at the same time). Thin crust pizza is great and the portions are excellent. I've gone with family and alone and felt perfectly comfortable both ways. A couple of Red Line stops from Loyola, and the Crowd theater is a few blocks away so you can see some cool improve and/or sketch comedy.

Really excellent don’t hesitate to go here

By annmarv2016 |

We arrived tonight visiting the city for a few days and ordered take away pizza, chicken wings and two hamburgers, they were truly fantastic, the special house pizza is so tasty do try it. Thanks.

Disappointed I couldn't finish the hole pie

By HotspotBirding |

Stopped by on my way down to the airport for lunch. Turned up around noon, 30 minutes after opening. If you are looking for a great local sports bar, great deep dish and local craft beer, this is the spot. The street gets busy and can be a challenge to park, but even walking from Lakeshore park would be worth eating at this spot. I was an outsider and I knew it, but locals seems tight knit inside, chatting and speaking with the staff by name. I hardly cared as my focus was entirely on the great food prepared. I ordered a small 12" deep dish with sausage and was disappointed I couldn't finish it. The mozzarella was firm, the sauce sweet and the sausage spicy a perfect combination of quintessential Chicago style deep dish.

The pizza and wings are amazing!!!

By Dude Man |

The pizza and wings are amazing!!! Some of the best thin crust pizza and buffalo wings in Chicago! Gets packed on football Sundays!! You won’t be disappointed!! So yummy!!

Loved the Pizza; Disappointed in the Service

By Krista H |

The pizza was fantastic. A sweetness to the sauce enhanced the fresh toppings. Unfortunately, we must have come at an off time because the service was not good. The place was not too crowded with only a few people watching the end of a Cubs game. So it was surprising to wait 20 minutes after the menus had been placed on our table to finally see a server. I recognize that restaurants have bad nights, so I don't want to hurt the rating of the food, but I hope that if I go back, I will have a different experience.

Best Neighborhood Sports Bar

By Patricia W |

This place is 3 blocks from my apartment and I love to pop in here to eat watch the Cubs games with other fans. TVs all over for every sport and totally relaxed atmosphere. What you don't expect is some of the best pizza in Chicago! I prefer the thin crust and it's delicious. They also have burgers, wings, and other diner fare. You can't go wrong!

Great pizza, excellent service

By Tom V |

The best Pizza I have had in a long time. I ordered thin crust sausage. It was hot and bubbly with plenty of quality cheese. The sauce is very bright and the crust yeasty with a good texture. Service was very attentive and really cheap drinks. I will return.

Outdoor seating and good food except for wait

By Michael K |

Yes, the staff wore face masks as we did, the garden salad was very good and thin crust pizza was quite good once it arrived close to an hour after we ordered. My wife and I had one Margarita each. I hate it when staff comes to our table periodically only to ask us again if everything is okay (translated: don't you want another drink?) We: No, just bring us our dinner.

Best neighborhood spot

By Beth W |

We love Michaels. Unpretentious, good food, tons of TVs, and love the staff. We love the wings and the thin crust pizza. A great spot to grab dinner and watch a game.

a nice neighborhood surprise

By Sktpat |

tooling down broadway before a show at the aragon with teenage boys, looking for somewhere to eat, decided to give it a shot. neighborhood place, family friendly bar, but also a nice bar scene. free pool, free board games and more TVs - all tuned to various sports channels - than we could count. 2 trays of chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks and zucchini, 2 cokes and a beer came to $25. so non-descript, but great bar food and a great atmosphere. nice job to the owners.

Great Local Spot

By esuitorf |

My wife and I have been to this place dozens of times over the past few years. We like to sit outside with our dog in the Summer and we have even been there for New Years. Our favorite things are the greek salad, the Michael's Special pizza, the nachos, the chicken breast sandwich, and the wings. Pretty much everything is good! The drinks are good, pretty much what you would except from a sports bar. They also have tons of TVs so it is a good place to catch a game and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Great place!

Pizza, burgers and Greek salad!!

By soleb29 |

We come here alllll the time - staff is hardworking and always delivers good service. You must try the white pizza with giardinara and sausage, the Greek salad and their primo burger! Great place for Cubs games or any sport really. Summer nights are fun too - swing by after the beach and enjoy! The beers are also cheap! Best kept secret on the north side! Enjoy!

Local pizza joint

By Meghan D |

We frequent Michaels On a weekly basis and highly recommend it. The deep dish and thin crust pizzas are delicious, as are the buffalo chicken tenders, Caesar and greek salads, and they have beer specials during the week. A great local establishment!

Good Pizza close to Wrigley Field.

By WhereintheUSisMikey |

We ate at Michael’s Pizzeria and it was good. We decided to walk there after the Cubs game and it’s only a 15 minute walk from Wrigley Field. We had the Pepperoni and Sausage deep dish and it was very good although I still like Pequad’s the best. It’s a great sports bar as well with Cubs memorabilia all over the place. The service great and pretty fast for how busy it was. If you go to a Cubs game walk on over to Michael’s and have some good Pizza.

Great Neighborhood Bar

Excellent pizza and wings with the cheapest beer in the city. I am new to the area but Michael's has quickly become my go to spot for the big game.

The Best Deep Dish in Chicago

By kenatravels |

This is the best deep dish pizza in Chicago. Yes I’m sure. It really is that good. The chicken strips, Greek salad, thin crust pizza, and cheeseburger are also excellent. I usually take my order to go but the restaurant is nice inside and has a great outdoor area seasonally.
