So Many Things were Wrong- I'm Sorry I Went There- And Won't Go Back

By chicks30907 |

My server was excellent in nature and attitude. Nothing here should reflect his great cheerful and helpful demeanor. I ordered a house strawberry margarita on the rocks. Menu stated it came with a salt/chili rim. I told server, I absolutely could not have any spice, I could have either plain salt rim or sugar (which is what's usually served in a strawberry margarita). I was surprised the margarita came in a "rocks" style glass (not very big), instead of a big "margarita" style glass, that I've always gotten at any other Mexican restaurant. Well, the drink was so exceptionally salty, I had to have it sent back, to have it remade (no salt on the rim). But the drink itself, was V E R Y salty, even when I wiped the salt off the rim before I drank. I ordered the 2 cheese enchilada dinner. There was a choice of beans, I told server I would take whichever was the non-spicy type of bean, since I couldn't handle any spice at all. Once the dinner came, I took a bite of the beans, and my mouth was set on fire! I asked for different beans, he said there were no others less spicy. He set my plate down away from me, so when I pulled it toward me, I noticed that the plate was outta this world extremely hot!!! Like I burned my hand touching it. Which (since I've worked as a server) means, that plate sat under the hot lamps for a very long time, before it was brought out to me. Either that, or they keep all the plates in a 400 degree oven before plating up, hmmmm. The enchiladas were rock hard, with absolutely zero enchilada sauce anywhere. They were really dry and tasteless. I ate 1/2 of one only. I asked for cilantro when I ordered. They gave me an extremely small plastic container- hardly enough for my dinner. The rice was dry and very unremarkable. The bill was the best part! I found I was charged an extra $1.50 for my margarita (I assume upcharge for the strawberry), which would have been fine, except it wasn't noted that the flavors were an extra charge. Menu only said $8.00 for a house margarita, with the other flavors listed below. I was also charged extra for the little bit of cilantro, and a "service" charge, which was a percentage of my overall bill. I didn't even eat the dinner, it was so terrible, then had to pay all that extra. I'm not a fan, won't ever recommend it, nor return.

Slow kitchen and luke warm food

By Cathy O |

I visited here yesterday during lunch with a group of 5. We were in town for a meeting at the convention center which is right across the street. They got us seated fairly quickly and service by the waitress was good. Our drinks and chips and salsa were brought out quickly as well as our order being taken. That's when things turned south. We, along with many other tables, waited nearly an hour for our food and when it arrived most of it was luke warm. At this point we were already late getting back to the meeting and there was no time to send it back. The food was average but nothing special. Maybe I just went on the wrong day. I realize they had a lot of customers but they are located right next to the convention center. You would think they would be staffed up in the kitchen and, at the very least, your food would be hot.

Excellent Mexican Food Downtown

By Zonker |

Micheladas is located downtown near the convention center. Excellent service, nice variety of great Mexican dishes and very good margaritas. You can walk here from most of the downtown hotels or take the Metro.

Pretty good Sunday brunch

By LC_Ag91 |

We were looking for a place to grab breakfast close to the convention center. I wish my TA app could filter "breakfast" but not an option. Anyway, Micheladas was across the street & the menu had a hand full of traditional Mexican breakfast options. My wife has the Migas and loved them. I has the Huevos Rancheros and was a little disappointed. The plate included a deep fried chalupa shell topped w/refried beans & eggs over-easy, but no ranchero sauce. I asked & out came a bowl of sauce that was actually quite good. The potatoes served with both plates were left largely uneaten. They were deep fried crispy potatoes cubes without much flavor. The flour tortillas that came the plate seemed store bought quality; not bad but could be better. I asked for corn tortillas when I placed my order, but got flour delivered instead. So overall, a mixed experience. Service was friendly, just not great. Food quality was pretty good, just not excellent. Prices were very reasonable. Migas, huevos ranchero & 2 iced teas for $21 plus tip.

A must eat at restaurant

OMG! Might be the best Mexican we’ve ever had. Tablesaide guacamole was great. Fajita enchiladas were awesome. Definitely would recommend

I'm with decent but not spectacular

Had dinner here. Decent place. Food is ok to good. Also noted that the wait staff could have a little more energy. Food pretty cheap actually. But I suppose you want quick cheaply priced meal that's ok. This not bad place to come I guess

Just your average Mexican restaurant

By pjc62 |

My husband and I went for dinner here the other night. It’s not any different than the average Mexican restaurant that you can find in just about every town. All the normal offerings, including chips and salsa. Now, I will say the salsa they bring with your chips is very good. We also had tableside service of guacamole. However the house margarita is rather small and weak. It’s only six dollars, which is good because I really needed to have another one. My husband had red snapper which he said was fine. I had Camarones Calientes. I didn’t get many shrimp and the shrimp had melted cheese on them!!! Way too many onions as well. And it wasn’t spicy as advertised! Overall, not horrible. Service was good but was hoping for something a bit more special.

Great food, somewhat pricey.

I was at the Austin Convention center for an event and found this restaurant across the street so very convenient. We were with. Group of 13 and were able to make a reservation. Got to the restaurant and were surprised at how few tables there are and had to wait a bit for the one table for groups to leave do we could be seated. The good made up for the wait. The fajitas were so good and my husband had one of the best pork chops he's ever had. Only complaint is that you get charged for anything extra. You only get 2 flower tortillas with your meal, more are $1 per set. They ask what sauce for the beef enchilada's and charged extra for the queso sauce when you had no idea it was extra. We also had Margaritas and they came in a very small water glass and they were $6. Very disappointed in the drinks. The food was good, service was good but you are nickel and dined for all extra's and the atmosphere not really good for families with kids.

Slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Service- Avoid

By Lou R |

Called and made reservations on a Sunday afternoon for 10 people. We had to sit at two tables and have two different servers. First table got their second round of drink while the first table just got their first round. Not that we were in a rush and we had no where to go but enjoying the gorgeous weather, the service was horrible. Most of us ordered Margherita's and some of got different glasses. Later we said something and the waiter was complaining to us that they had to go back and wash the glasses they brought back empty. The bathrooms were so disgusting, one in our group opened the door even though we said not to, just about threw up it was that bad. The only good thing was the food was ok and no one got sick. Will most definitely NOT return.

Micheladas-Downtown Austin.

By beinnc2017 |

I was very impressed with Micheladas Mexican restaurant. I travel for a living. And, it was so good. That I had to write a review soon as I left. My meal was delicious. Miguel Z gave me great customer service. I love sweet tea and he kept my glass full. I didn’t have to ask for anything. Also, the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. And, ask for Miguel Z.

Great early dinner

By firemansgurl |

We had to sit in the bar area because the rest of the seating area wasn't open when we were there, before 5. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. The food was really good and spicy! We did have to wait a while on our meal and bill but it was worth it.

Good food but not spectacular

By Caroline M |

Good Mexican food. The brined pork chop is good value, unique and very tasty. Moderate pricing. Average food overall

What a let down. Tasteless overpriced food.

By soccermom101 |

Folks, this was just a really BAD experience. A number of us who were in town for a meeting decided to try Michelada's for dinner. HUGE mistake. Happy hour prices were higher than most places normal prices. Food prices were insanely high. And the quality just wasn't there. At the waiter's suggestion, my husband ordered the Don Chappo ($22). He got a dried out, tasteless pork chop. I ordered the Stacked Seafood Enchiladas ($17) & if there was any seafood it, I couldn't taste or find it. The cheese (?) sauce completely overwhelmed any other flavors and it didn't taste good at all. The only food we got that was worth eating was part of the Grilled Cheese Board appetizer ($11) we split & it was overpriced for the quantity received. Overall, this was just a bad experience. Everyone in our group was talking about how we should have gone somewhere else... The only good thing I can say about Michelada's is that the décor is amazing - too bad the food isn't even close.

Very good Mexican

By drajhansa4 |

I ate there twice in a recent business trip for a convention. It is literally across the street from the convention center and the food is very good and creative Mexican. The ambience is comfortable and not too loud and the drinks are strong and good.

Perfect vibe with great food as a bonus!

By shemingwa |

I have been to Micheladas three times now and have never been disappointed. As a matter of fact I have been impressed with the food, service and ambiance every time. We stumbled on the restaurant when we went to go pick up our Cap 10k packet. We were walking toward PF Chang's and was drawn toward Micheladas. I recommend the migas, shrimp tacos, table side guacamole, and the carne asada. Good stuff people!

Visiting Austin TX

By Lillian s |

My husband and I went to Austin. My husband And myself. we decided to eat lunch at micheladas. We're very picky about Mexican food. We decided to try out Michela's. And the service was awesome and we weren't sure about the food. But when it came finally to our table, the presentation of the food was excellent, we started to eat. The food was delicious, beautiful presentation. And excellent taste authentic taste to it. We loved it ❤️

Bad experience

By Francisco R |

They put this sign outside but don't be a fool Micheladas cost $10.The manager said that if they have a convention it doesn't apply. How stupid! Then they shouldn't put the sign in the first place. It's located across the convention center. I guess happy hour never applies. Also, he was really rude, he just said "you misunderstood the sign and have a good day" the food was ok and the Micheladas were not the best I've had.

Snacking on the Go

By Shirley F |

A vendor's reception provided a great opportunity to sample Micheladas' cuisine. I enjoyed a variety of appetizers in a family-friendly location that that quiet enough to hear and be heard without raising our voices. The buffet was regularly replenished, and the servers were friendly. I'd like to return for a full meal when I visit Austin again.

Best chips & salsa & guacamole ever

By Katherine McEachnie |

Great location next to Convention Centre. Fantastic Tortilla chips, spicy salsa, uber fresh guacamole. I loved the fajitas! Excellent for lunch. We went back 3 times while we were in Austin. Highly recommend it if you love Mexican food! Delicious!

Great Mexican Food

By Ken H |

My Wife & I had a late lunch here, and even though they were not very busy at the time the wait staff and kitchen produced some great food. I ad the Fajita Taco Salad, Chips & Salsa. I was not disappointed, as it was very good. We went back several more times and took out "Team" with us one time too....

Off the beaten path Mexican food

By Jillian |

Food was delicious…We had a chicken quesadilla that was amazing. Drinks were great. Service was slow but so friendly. Patio is dog friendly. Overall a really good experience!!

The Don!!

By Paul F |

Only reason we went here is it is right next to the convention center. Lucky us. Had the Don Chapo...recommended to us by our server, Barry? Pork chop, with 3 cream cheese stuffed jalepenos wrapped in bacon. Fantastic. If you are ever in downtown Austin, stop by, the food is terrific.

Attentive to the details -- Loved it!

By RonL40 |

Across the street from the huge convention center, we stumbled on the restaurant after a favorite bbq place was closed on Sunday evening. Lucky us! We asked for a table outside and thoroughly enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. Service was excellent -- a friend had diet coke and the glasses just kept coming, as did the chips and the superb salsa. I had the pig belly tacos (excellent!) and ordered a serving of the borracho beans… a favorite of mean. BEST EVER! I know, it doesn't seem like a big deal… a dish of beans. But it's the details that make a restaurant excellent…. everything we had was perfectly prepared. My wife loved the fish -- red snapper -- and a friend reported great things about the chicken fried streak. Excellent food, very friendly service, no problem hanging out for as long as you like after dinner. And not at all expensive for downtown Austin. We'll be back. Happily.

Large place. Roof deck top and large patio with Coolatrons fans for the heat. The pork belly Quesadilla and wings were great! Great food and wonderful margaritas! Inexpensive as well!

Can't go wrong

By Peter W |

Service is outstanding. We had a bowl of nachos/salsa before our butts hit the chairs. Similar w/ our bottomless sodas. Great food as well!

Fantastic business dinner

By Perry C |

Brenda and crew provided outstanding service and food for our business dinner for 21 people. They were ready for us well before we arrived and provided several servers to take drink orders and deliver food. It was a set menu and it all arrived fresh, hot and on time. I am so accustomed to group dinners taking 2 to 3 hours but Brenda ensured that our group was all taken care of in 90 minutes from arrival drinks to desert and everyone raved about the food. Thank you Micheladas for providing exceptional service and a fun atmosphere for our event.

Great Patio, good food

By CharlieinTexas |

Dog friendly patio. Has a nice feel, even though not scenic. Solid table-made guacamole. Good Queso. Decent, not great chips. Excellent green chili pork taco and pork belly taco. Delicious black beans. Reasonably priced. Parking for free a chore.

not my favorite tex-mex

By Dean D |

The food was good but nothing great. The service was very good. I thought it was somewhat pricey for what you got. The salsa seemed homemade with a good flavor. I thought the charge or boracho beans were very good.

Get the pork chop (even if you hate pork). OMG!

By D M |

I am not a huge pork chop fan. The waiter recommended it. OMG! it might be the best tasting meat I have ever had at a restaurant. Just go and experience this. The restaurant itself is nothing spectacular. Seems like a pretty average Tex-Mex kind of place. But the pork chop alone is just spectacular. Now, to be fair, I have only eaten the pork chop when I go, so there may be other spectacular food there but I would not know...yet!

Conventioneers Perfection

By DLHirst |

After a three day trade show across the street, we were waiting for our booth crates to return. I snuck out to try Micheladas, as I had passed by each day on my way in. My business cohort said she didn't want to eat, so I took the chance. Micheladas is a delight! From the very hot and tangy salsa that they put on the table straight away, to the refried black beans (you have your choice of beans), to the very well poured margarita, every thing was really, really good. The highlight, of course, was the chicken chimichanga. Probably the best chimi I have ever enjoyed. Rather than shredded chicken (the norm), they seem to have chargrilled a chicken breast, cut it into bite sized pieces and then made a chimi out of it. The chicken was smoky grilled - delish. The queso sauce was also a pleasant surprise, and melded beautifully with the refried black beans. Those beans were inky black, too. Just as they should be. I was trying to figure out how I could fit more food in my stomach, when the phone rang, and I was called back to pack up the booth. If I had eaten anything else, I likely would have needed a siesta, so probably just as well! I was served by the bartender. She did an excellent job of watching out for me, even though I was seated at a table, not at the bar. Thanks for the great service!

Expensive TexMex

By vaquero viajero |

Micheladas sucks in the tourists around the convention center. It specializes in jazzed up TexMex toned down for the visitors. The waiter asked me what kind of beans I would like. I said "negros refritos". He said "I am sorry sir but I could not understand you". I repeated myself and he still did not understand me so I said refried black beans. When they came they clearly had been put through a blender. Enough said!

They really worked to accommodate our group

By tros2112 |

I have to say I was not expecting a great experience because we came in with a group of 15. They quickly put some smaller tables together. At one point they had 4 or 5 people working together to quickly assemble and set our table. Some of the people with us had left, so our count changed while they were doing this, but they showed no frustration. Very professional. Our waiter was awesome. He was fast and friendly...and most importantly, accurate. The food was outstanding. We got a lot of different dishes and everyone was happy with their choices. The only complaint I had was my refried beans were lukewarm, but they were still delicious.

Horrible

By WisconsinBear23 |

Bad experience. Stay away. When our wives walked in they treated them poorly. Asked them questions even thought we had been at the bar for a couple of beers and some chips and salsa. Ridiculous for a Monday night when very few people were there. Go somewhere else.

Food was hot and fast

By Jennifer D |

I ate at the bar since I was by myself during a convention trip. I ordered the #3 (I think) which was an enchilada and crispy taco with rice. (It comes with beans, but I always double the rice order instead.) The food came out very quickly - just about 5 minutes after my order was placed. It was hot and good, but fairly standard for Mexican food. I didn't care for the peas and carrots in the rice, but I usually just eat around them. The salsa was flavorful but fairly mild which is what I prefer. It's good for a quick place to eat that is convenient to the convention center.

Lots of space and flavor!

By thatssoboss |

This pace is huge! Tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Had the veggie fajitas and they were great! Hostess, server, and staff were attentive and helpful without being overbearing. Seems like they help each other out (getting to-go boxes, clearing plates) when they can. I love to see that!

Cute

By J4592YLsarahw |

Had the Camerones Caliente which was ok. Portion size was really big. Food was ok. A little spicy for my liking. Out door seating looked fun. Unfortunately we picked inside seating and had a small table with wobbly legs.

Commercialand Dissapointing

By The_Wine_Snob_NJ |

Located across the street from the convention center, they are among the few choices in immediate proximity. The place was packed but the service was speedy. The chips and salsa were boring at best. Low quality cardboard chips and tasteless watery salsa… Am I in Texas? I asked the server how the fajitas were and the she responded confidently that they were excellent and obviously a good choice. Where she garnered such confidence will be an infinite and elusive mystery, as the chicken was tasteless and rubbery to the point that it was reminiscent of processed cold cuts. The tortillas were average, and the accompanying plate of dressing items included a mound of iceberg lettuce and about a teaspoon each of guacamole, sour cream and cheddar. Having had an early flight that same morning, I had been up early and had not eaten a bite for over 9 hours. One would think that at that state of hunger, anything would taste good… but no such luck!

Authentic mexican food

By ebababi |

Totally liked it! Authentic and amazing mexican food. Nice and cozy place with a good atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful personnel.

A Nice Surprise

By PlatinumHoney |

Looks kind of pro forma Tex Mex but delivers above with tasty food and terrific service. Had chicken fajitas -- well seasoned and flavorful and guisados tacos (corn tacos with beef), which were at tad flat, but nice nonetheless. Comes with choice of beans, including refried black, rice and the usual. Nice lunch.

Chain like for an independent

By HolleyMartins |

This is like eating in a corporate idea of a local place. Nice building, warm adobe walls, heavy tables--you know the drill already. Food only adequate--Tex Mex for conventioneers (it's across the street from the Austin Convention Center). I have to admit, my colleague and I were there on a night when the main dining room had been reserved for a large group, so the food and service were rushed and may not have been up to par. We were at a table in the bar area, which was noisy and crowded. I had one of the seafood dishes, and we both had desserts--sopapillas for me, which were fine, and a fabulous cake for my colleague, the highlight of the meal. It was light and flavorful and did not make either of us feel overstuffed, the way restaurant desserts usually do. But for Tex Mex, I'd go elsewhere. Too bad, because the location is good and the building attractive, especially on the outside.

Worth checking out

By LJW |

I had the Alembre tacos--outstanding! We almost had the place to myself, so the service was quick and friendly. Not sure what it would be like on a busier night.

Close to convention center, better than food trucks!

By William M8 |

If in town for a convention, skip the food trucks which tend to circle the convention center and go here. Good food, tasty and competitively priced. Tacos are excellent. Food is really fresh.

Great meal.

By Jim Mag |

Sat at the bar. Great house michelada - friendly bartender. Suadero tacos were excellent. Meat was tender and had a nice char. Dona sauce was great as were the corn tortillas. Didn't know what to expect when I walked in, but left extremely satisfied. Will return if in the area. Also - salsa was excellent.

Good food and a great bar

By GenotheViking |

Good Mexican food and a great bar. I stopped by to have a light dinner at the bar and watch a football game. The service was wonderful. Right next to the convention center. A good place for dinner before a short walk to see the bats at the Congress Bridge. Lots of street parking.

Foôd and Service was great!

By Gayle E |

We stopped here to get a TexMex fix and we were not disappointed! Great ambiance and great food. We had nachos which were like chalupas because they were so big. Fresh guacamole and sour cream and lettuce on the side. We had the beef but chicken available as well. We also had the enchilada dinner with rice and beans. You can pick your sauce and beans. I had queso sauce and baracha beans. So delicious. We loved the chips and salsa. The salsa was homemade and fresh. We will go back!

Good TexMex Lunch in Downtown Austin

By Edwin A |

I was at Austin convention Center for a two day conference and went to get food at Michelada's to enjoy a TexMex lunch and watch some soccer. This place has great food for the price but seems poorly run. I had a great lunch specials of beef enchiladas with black bean soup and rice for $9.99. There was an extensive lunch menu but you would have never known if not for asking. We went to the restaurant only for the location, while Gus's Fried Chicken had a half hour wait. Our food came out fast and was warm. There is a great bar and TV's throughout. But with all of these conventions going on across the street, you would have expected a packed location.

Micheladas

By Claudio Z |

Nacho bar was good. Their green chile pork tacos are good as well. Tortillas could be a bit better tasting to me but not bad.

Our server was very helpful

By John W |

Our server was very helpful and accommodating. The draft beer was ice cold. Our dinner was very tasty and served pipping hot. Worth a stop if in the neighbourhood.

I Will Go Back...When the Road Construction's finished.

By bohemian81 |

First let me say this place has great potential. The table and bar seating, both indoors and out, is very spacious. There's no reason why a Tex-Mex restaurant in a superb downtown location couldn't be successful if they're consistent with their product (and I have no reason to believe Michelada's is not), but on a summer Friday night this place was dead as a doornail. I can only conclude it's due to the very unfortunate road construction on 2nd St. that the City of Austin has been conducting at a snail's pace. Given the recent dearth of good Tex-Mex establishments in Austin, this place should be benefiting. I fear, though, that if that road isn't finished soon, this place cannot afford to staff a restaurant at which there are so few patrons during peak season. We ordered margaritas--they were good, but my watermelon margarita was a little too boozy (I know, I know...there are worse things about which to complain). He ordered the steak fajita tacos, and the meat was well-seasoned but quite tough. I had the chicken-stuffed chile relleno, and everything about the dish was great except for the filling. Because the pieces of dark meat were in very large chunks and under-seasoned, I wish now that I'd ordered the cheese chile relleno. It was cooked well, though. For many, the bellwether of good Tex-Mex is the quality of the beans and of the chips/salsa. In these two categories, Michelada's knocked it out of the park. We agreed that the chips & salsa were the best we've had in Austin. We both had borracho beans as a side, and they were perfect. So, I definitely want to go back when accessing the place isn't so inconvenient and in cooler weather when they've completed the construction on their rooftop patio. I hope they can hang on until then.

Ehhh- Wouldnt recommend.

By Jeremy C |

On 5/8/16 Myself and 5 buddies visited this place after being at the Austin Convention center for Dreamhack over the weekend. We were seated at a table close to the bar and our waiter may have been named Barry? Older big guy that was tending the bar also. Everything took forever! We waited with empty drinks/Chips/Salsa on multiple occasions. He would come fill your drink but ignore that everyone was out of chips and salsa. At once point I got up and stopped who i believe ( by the way he was dressed) was the manager and asked if we could get drink refills. I wouldnt recommend going here unless they make some major improvements. The food was pretty good.

Great place to eat before bat watching at the bridge!

By mfbarn |

Lovely rooftop patio, great service. Exceptional food and great cocktails. We ate here late evening before heading to the Congress Avenue Bridge to watch the bats. We wandered in after looking at a steakhouse menu near by that was extremely pricey!

Outstanding!

Great atmosphere, friendly & accommodating staff, and excellent food! Wait staff was fantastic….great customer service!

Great location, great service, food just so so

By paula c |

I was really disappointed. Guacamole was tepid. Soup was marginal. The taco's were just average. Guacamole was supposed to be made at table, and it was basically "dumped" on the table by an unidentified person. The restaurant can do better.

Early Dinner

By ivoparent |

Excellent food. The service was outstanding. We ate at 4:30 before it got busy. The house margarita was delicious. Ordered guacamole and Georgie’s Tacos. Large portions. Would return.

Love their food and their service

Great dining experience. An excellent place to go visit with friends. Great food and drinks! Located close to the convention center

Who runs out of tortilla?

By Bawana14 |

Went there on a family friendly recommendation of the Westin concierge. We had a 11 people in our group. It was 6:30 is on Sunday. Upon arrival we were told that it would be a 30 min wait. After looking around I asked why because they were maybe a 1/4 full. I informed him we didn't need 1 table he sat us right away. We opened the menu to find no kids menu. We worked around that but when the food came out they informed us that they were out of flour tortillas. Big problem for some kids. The wait staff service was just so so. The food I ate was good.

Brilliant

By xLoham |

Brilliant food. Brilliant service. Manager was a true gent and a credit to the restaurant. Would highly recommend!

Just OK

By Joe H |

With the choice of so many mex-tex restaurants in Austin we really chose the one that wasn't all that great. Sat at the bar, bartender was to non-emotional for me. Gave us water and then said "would you like anything more than water!?" I said, "sure were at the bar. " The food was just ok. The salsa was so spicy, I couldn't eat it. The nachos were tasty though. Enter at your own risk:):)

Advice for celiacs - great lunch

By Theresa C |

Service was great. However, staff need more training on gluten allergies and which menu items are gf. Fortunately server got the chef to answer my questions, corrected server’s suggestions, and made the vegetable enchiladas himself to avoid cross contamination. They were delicious! Many thanks to the chef ! We all had a great lunch. If you have celiac and plan to dine here, ask to speak with the chef.

Great ambiance and food

By Crashbone58 |

Our party of six gathered here for a family dinner on a Thursday night before a Saturday wedding. We were seated immediately at a great table (many Tex Mex places downtown Austin either will not take reservations or want a reservation fee of $10 / person!!) The margaritas and Shiner Bocks were well received (the only ding is that they do not have tap beer) and served quickly. Most people ordered the fajitas with the shrimp fajitas being the overwhelming favorite. The steak enchilada was equally superb. The ambiance is very nice, the service was attentive and prompt, and the food was very well executed. We recommend Micheladas. Get the shrimp fajitas!

Very Good Tex Mex Food

By GeeBen1 |

Micheladas is very good Mexican restaurant conveniently located across from the Austin Convention Center and several hotels around there. We were staying at the Austin Hilton Hotel for a taekwondo national championship tournament the week of July 4th. Coming from New York, I had a craving for Tex-Mex Mexican food and this place didn't disappoint me at all. The restaurant is very spacious and has a Southwest brick/tile décor with a large main dining room and large indoor fountain on one wall. The seating and atmosphere was comfortable. The staff was attentive, friendly and competent. The food was delicious starting with the salsa and chips, to the beef enchiladas I ordered, that were deliciously flavored and succulently juicy, served with rice and beans and chipotle sauce. I also had a market fresh fish taco that was tender and moist, spiced well, and absolutely delicious. The food proportions are good and prices reasonable. Dress is casual. I would certainly go back to this restaurant without hesitation.

Mediocre

By Jenny H |

.... at best, though the chips are the perfect texture - not too think or too thin. Nice ambiance, cute bathrooms. Good bloody marys! I would give it another chance

nothing special...

By poopshooter |

Went here with colleagues for dinner as we were walking about looking for a place. Service is hit & miss. Layout was pretty nice, not crowded, not too bright, aged furniture & various ornaments around. Had the chorizo spiced pork chop which was really good. Especially the bacon wrapped cheese stuffed jalapenos that came with it. Chips with salsa, table side guac & queso was also worth mentioning. Price wise slightly on the high side. If you are around worth a stop but nothing to shout about.

Eat here! (But have a Statin Chaser!)

By williamj942 |

If you are attending a trade show at the Austin Convention Center, avoid the food in the hall and GO to this place. I was steered to Micheladas by a 'local.' I was not disappointed. An establishment where one of the owners greets you at the door, and the service is great. Many Southern dishes are heavy in fat, and if you were to eat this way every day, you'd be headed to an early coronary (thus my comment about having a statin chaser). But for an every once in a while treat, this place is great. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with Chorizo gravy. FABULOUS. The best Chicken Fried Steak I've ever had, and the veggies on the side were really flavorful, as was the mashed potatoes.

Everything was great

Our server was very friendly and very helpful and the drinks and food were great ..we were in town for a convention so it was in walking distance

A good lunch

By John B |

Micheladas is close by the Austin Convention Center so is a convenient spot to grab a bite to eat. Some of the tables are by windows that open up onto the street and there's a rooftop terrace. The beer selection is okay and the menu is heavy on Mexican and Tex/Mex specialties. The crab stuffed avocado was quite good and was more than enough to hold me through to dinner. Service was speedy and the prices fair.

Overpriced lunch

By Alis0n401 |

Not much of a menu and overpriced, especially for lunch. Two basic margaritas, dip and entrees $50+. Margaritas were tasty and blended well.

Nice rooftop

By Christian Moser |

The open terrasse / rooftop is nice to be outside. The food was very average Tex mex. interior is also more average and looks a bit cheap. One could easily bring in a bit more style with some decorations.

No sense of timing for a convention center

By KikNh |

Good food but lack of attention to the detail of people wanting to eat while at a convention eating in an hour or so.

Very good mexican & margarita's

By peterschofield37 |

In Austin for the F1 race and Fan Fest meant downtown was really busy. Walking out we came across Micheladas and were pleasantly surprised. Had a good chat with Aaron the barman who made is skinny margaritas with agave syrup - brilliant. Food was good and a nice location.

Amazing!!!!

By Newlyweds 2021 |

This was a fabulous find by our concierge! The staff was amazing! The decor is over the top! The food… I can’t even begin to rate! If you are in Austin, skip the big places and find this place!!

AMAZING FOOD, AMBIENCE, AND SERVICE

By barnold422 |

The food was absolutely exceptional, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The restaurant's ambiance created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly servers who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a welcoming environment.

Excellent restaurant for a large catered party

By Will H |

Visited this restaurant with a two tiered roof top terrace with a conference in November 2018. Excellent Tex-Mex cuisine. Several bars in this restaurant and all bar tenders were not only good but offered good suggestions. Wait staff were surely busy with the restaurant shut down for our private function but you would never know it as they were all very attentive to our needs. Food was hot and excellent. Desserts could have been better but weren't bad. All in all an excellent choice restaurant in Austin!!!!

Excellent Sunday Brunch

By jricks15 |

Dropped in Sunday morning right at their 10am opening time for brunch. Nice open restaurant. The staff was very friendly. The migas were EXCELLENT! Sides tasted very fresh and the mimosas were cheap. I wouldnt hesitate to stop in again for breakfast while staying downtown.

Brunch

By Jstatouch |

Excellent brunch food. Best french toast I've ever had. Whipped cream was amazing. Biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. 5 star food. Then i went to the bathroom. Floor sticky, dead roach outside the door. Glad I didn't see that before i finished my food.

Average Mexican food, close to Austin Convention Center

By M J |

Four family members and I went to Micheladas on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was about half full. They have inside and outside dining table. The weather was wonderful so we chose outside dining. All of us thought the food was average and the atmosphere was nice. I ordered cheese enchiladas with black beans and rice for $12. My husband ordered chile relleno with refried beans and rice $14. My niece ordered tacos. Her husband ordered Carnitas Chimicahanga $15. Their daughter ordered breakfast egg & cheese tacos. The restaurant very convenient to the Austin Convention Center which was nice but there are much better Mexican restaurants in Austin.

Lunch but stuck around for a few drinks

By jraleighsr |

Went for lunch sat in the bar, The Brittany and Barry where great. Had salsa and chips and then some food. Everything was great had local beer and tacos. Bar got pretty crowded during lunch but the staff did a great job taking care of everyone. very happy walking across the street from the convention center and finding this place.

Decent but no spectacular

By Olivia M |

Great hot salsa and warm chips which I love. And a good patron margarita but service was a bit off. Slow with menus. Slow with drinks. Had the chicken fajita salad which was ok but nothing special. I wouldn't go out of my to eat here again. But if at a convention and need to grab s quick bite it will suffice. Across the street from downtown convention center so location is good for that. And nice outdoor seating. But we sat at the bar. Thing I liked best was on the menu for $12 bucks you can buy the kitchen staff a round of bears which we did.

Great food and Rita's

By Iflyfish28 |

Just happened upon this place for lunch behind the convention center at 2nd and Trinity. The food was great along with a good Rita. Reasonable priced and roomy outdoor space in good weather. Waiter was very good with his service. Very good place to try. Had a few tv's inside for Saturday longhorn football games but not like a sports bar. Outside in the back had some shade trees. Very large restaurant with great food.

Great food and service

By Sherry P |

I work at a nearby hotel... and didn't even realize it was so close. The server Russell was so engaging, yet casual, he could be mistaken for the owner. His suggestions, feedback and no pressure attitude was SO refreshing! Food was phenomenal and such a surprise and close enough to walk to is a HUGE bonus.

Awesome Atmosphere With Great Music!

By KHDZ |

Was looking for a fun place to have some afternoon dinner and drinks. Stumbled across the place right off 6th street and glad I did! Such a great vibe and great drinks! Really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere! Will definitely be back!

Okay

By Scottcpfs |

Server was very friendly and took good care of us. The food was average. My wife had fajitas and meAt was not very tender. I had a platter with pork and stuffed jalapeños. Taste was okay, but meat was overcooked so a little tough. Probably better places to try in town.

Affordable Tex-Mex near Austin Convention Center.

By steverydercom |

Most eateries close by are very expensive. I had the Seafood Enchilada ($18) one of their more pricey options (some were as low as $12). Compare to Fogo De Chao a block north (both directly across Trinity from the Austin Convention Center @ $52. Their Tres Leches ($9) was very tasty and about double the portion size of Fogo De Chao Flan or Creme Brulee (also $9). Service was very fast, friendly and informative.

Good food

By Tim K |

The food was very good even kids were happy with the meals. The service was a bit scattered but was day after 4th of july and i think were short staff. Waitress apologized several times about not being able to get to us as quick as she could. I always appreciate honesty and staff who are nice under pressure. Food top notch and i think so so service not typical. Would for sure eat there again.

Homemade Southwest cuisine

By Purple_Eagle_Richard |

You could taste the love in the food and service. The staff was very attentive checking on my party but not intrusively, asked if we had any questions about the menu, and always asked about drink refills with about one swallow left. The food was remarkable. The Tortilla soup was hearty and filling. I made a meal out of it. The tacos looked to be a good size and my friend offered me a bit of the meat and it was very tasty. A very nice convenient place in downtown Austin. Comfy chairs and an interesting atmosphere made this an enjoyable meal.

I may be picky!!

By drtydva |

I am picky about Mexican restaurants but the food was ok. Service was horrible. The waitress was rude to our friend who has strict diet because of health reasons. When I asked for a box she didnt acknowledge my request, so I asked again and she said "honey I got it." Ummmm, so acknowledge it the first time. Dont order sweet tea if you go, it came with bottom 1/2 water and top half tea. Even mixed it was weak.

Good food, great service

By Maranda A |

Went during a convention, our waitress was SO sweet. She was very attentive. The food I got was really delicious, and came out extremely fast. Would recommend if you are in the mood for good Mexican food!

Great tacos

By Claire2mf |

We choose to have lunch here during our stroll around Austin as it had a lovely outdoor area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered tacos which were very good. The food was lovely and fresh and cooked perfectly. Great place to catch a bite and rest your feet.

Yummy tacos bottomless ice tea.

By Adriane C |

Yummy tacos and great friendly service. We stumbled on this location by accident. We stopped by a food truck area nearby but it was 1:30pm and hot/sunny the only seating area was uncovered. So rather than roast in the sun, we pivoted. We were anxious because the reviews were meh BUT THIS RESTAURANT is GREAT. 5 stars. There was enough choice that both my husband and I were happy. I don’t like spicy food but my husband does. I had the Tacos Pastore. The pork was seasonly well. There was delicious char on the pork and the pineapple. The tartness of the pineapple cut the richness of pork. The dish was savory and had the right amount of acid. The pork was juicy and it did not need the Salsa Dona which I did not have because it was a little spicy. My husband loved the salsa.

Best lunch EVER.

By Melody L |

What a scrumptious idea: decorate a wedge of lettuce with sauteed veggies. Perfectly delicious. This would have been a five star rating if not for the goofy service. It wasn't very busy, but we had trouble getting our check, and our waiter forgot that he had already taken our credit card and put it in his pocket. Go figure.

Great Food and Service

By beachwalker58 |

We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a place for lunch. The staff was very friendly. Their salsa was fresh but a little spicy. We ordered table side guacamole and it was made to order so we asked for jalapeños on the side. The tacos with chorizo and sausage were delicious and we loved the tres leche. We will definitely return!

Fun and great food.

By Tc voyageur |

Food was delicious and ample. Iced tea n hot tortillas were seemingly endless and tasty. Atmosphere was fun though it was pretty quiet when we arrived, about 1:30. It picked up after 2 pm

Great Find

By Sandi R |

As we left the RV Expo at the Austin Convention Center I overheard someone talking on her phone about a really good Mexican restaurant nearby. When she got off the phone I asked her where it was. She pointed directly across the street from the convention center. It was Friday night, 8:00 and we were hungry so decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. The food is not the typical Tex-Mex, but more interior flavors. My husband had the chili relleno that was lightly fried and filled with chicken. I opted for a grilled, stuffed chicken breast and fresh vegetables. Both dishes arrived piping hot and full of flavor. The only downside to the experience was the noise. Granted, a large group of salesman from the RV Expo and sat directly across from us. The floors are stained concrete and the stone walls made sound bounce all around. There is outdoor seating that would be great in nice weather. We would definitely go again if we are in that area.

Very enjoyable place to be!

By Mary Ellen M |

Atmosphere was fun & clean. Each member of staff was very attentive and service focused. They were friendly & engaging. Walking past the kitchen, I could hear employees bantering & laughing while working. Just a fun environment to be in!

Aboid

By G D |

Spent 3 hours because of the slow server. We had to walk to the bar finally to find our drinks sitting on it. The food was not impressive. Not worth the time.

Fantastic meal under the stars

By Nancy F |

My son and his fiancee chose Micheladas for the location of their rehearsal dinner. Great choice! Micheladas has a second floor balcony with an incredible view of the surrounding city. The open air room with lights strung across the space, provided the perfect atmosphere. Three steps join the bar area with the eating space, and a third area was perfect for the buffet. Outdoor heaters and an indoor space were reserved for us, but we didn't end up needing them because the weather was perfect. The food was outstanding and served perfectly. Michelada's staff was very attentive and volunteered to help us decorate and do other things not normally their responsibility. We expected our guests to leave about 8:30 pm, but they lingered on until 11:30! Everyone was having such a wonderful time and Micheladas was happy to accommodate our changing schedule. We could not have chosen a better place to host our event!

Great Margaritas. Very reasonable prices.

By RonL40 |

Had lunch on a Sunday. Great service, very attentive. We wanted light and we were just a little bit late for the breakfast menu (which looked interesting). So my wife had a salad and I had the pork belly tacos... they were great. Love the pineapple accents. Finished off with two margaritas and they were superb. Probably the best we ever had. When the bill came, I asked the waiter if he'd left off the margaritas -- he hadn't -- because it was hard to believe that lunch for two with drinks came to only $32. Very reasonable prices.

Slow Service during Lunch

By TexasAD |

I went there because it is right across the street from the convention center. I was attending a very large conference there and decided to try their food. Service was good but the food was slow to arrive . We waited an hour and twelve minutes for our food , and it was a little cold when it arrived. Not sure if it was the large group of people that came all at once that slowed them down or what?

Eh... :(

By Speakeasy16 |

It was ok at best. Borderline bad. Came at 5:15. "Happy hour." Place was DESERTED. Greeted by the host who was on his phone my entire visit. Had a margarita (fine), queso (standard fare), and a chicken breast stuffed with a crab/corn mixture. Manager was my server. He had a stain on his sloppy shirt and it drove me crazy. My table wobbled and there are banquet-style chairs. Extremely dirty candle on my table. It feels like they're trying to make an effort at "ambiance"...but I'd give them a D at best. $11 margarita, $21 entree, and $6 queso. Keep walking...you can do better!!

Perfect for those at the conference center

By TessM |

I went here 3 times as I was in the conference center across the street. Evey meal was great and every person I brought with me was very happy as well. Reasonable prices, nice indoor and outdoor seating.

Convenient to Convention, but BUSY

By Jennifer B |

If you don't mind waiting a bit, Michelas provides a nice option for authentic Mexican for out of towners. Tip: If you are travelling alone or as a couple, check out the bar for faster seating.

HAIR in my food

By Frankie_D5 |

Do not eat here. It is bland overpriced Tex-Mex. I really would not even call it Tex-Mex. I know the location is great for conventions, but walk a block and find something else. There server did not seem to even care that there was hair in my food.

Amazing service! Fantastic drinks! Awesome dog-friendly patio

By Ramblin-Jame |

Amazing service!! Fantastic drinks!! Awesome dog-friendly patio!! We will definitely be coming back here the next time we visit Austin!

Great food and service

By Holly E |

Making reservations was easy. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Service and location was very good.

Great stay clean hotel!

By Carol W |

The hotel is clean, close to shopping and food. The staff is courteous and attentive. I would stay here again if I were to return to Austin.

Great Micheladas

By Matt G |

Stopped in wit my girlfriend on Saturday and had a couple of Micheladas. Great drinks and great service!

Not Authintic!!

By Barbara D |

There food seams like a chain, and not authentic for an Austin Mexican food restaurant. Very bland and for there only being three tables and the rest of the place empty, the service during was not good.

Not bad.

By Tom W |

The process for seating seemed to take a little longer than necessary. The food was good but nothing was outstanding. I would eat there again but I would not drive down town just to eat there.

Grateful they opened!

By Asgh2010 |

We were stranded in Austin due to the snowstorm and had been eating snacks from CVS due to all restaurants being shut down for several days. We were so thankfully they were open and enjoyed delicious chips and salsa, chicken enchiladas and margaritas!

Lunch $$$

By Cheryl D |

Convenience to Convention center is great. Food was acceptable. Queso and guacamole were spicy. Nachos were yummy. Quail legs tasty. Flautas were covered in salad and cheese. Delicious Barracho beans.

Micheladas Cafe y Cantina

By EvanGuthrie |

Micheladas Cafe y Cantina has delicious and flavorful food in a cool and unique atmosphere. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating.

YUM!!!

By BabyJ1969 |

Tried Micheladas for the first time in December 2015. Excellent choice for fine dining Mexican food.

Wonderfully crisp churros

By CaraKara |

Just had dessert here, and I really enjoyed the perfectly fried churros! This sweet concoction is something I rarely indulge in because churros are often too greasy and soft, but these had thin, crisp edges, weren't a bit oily, and were rolled in a generous coating of cinnamon sugar that clung thickly to the pastry. Six churros were served with a dish of melted dark chocolate. (The waiter mentioned that Ghirardelli chocolate was used.) I would recommend a milk chocolate sauce instead for pairing in this case, but that didn't stop us from scraping up virtually all of the dark sauce. I can't recommend this enough for churro perfection. We also ordered the creme brulee, which the server prepared us for ahead of time by sharing that it is served with bananas. Thinly sliced bananas were laid all over the top of wide and shallow dish of custard and then covered in a crisp but not too thick sugar coating. The bananas did not take away from the experience; their thinness and the burnt sugar topping kept them from being mushy. The shallow serving dish, however, made the custard-to-topping ratio a little off, and while the custard was good, it didn't seem especially rich or flavourful. On the whole, this was an enjoyable dish but not a stand-out. On a random winter weeknight, the place was nearly deserted, which afforded us excellent service and quick delivery of our orders. The waiter was a good blend of attentive, chatty and knowledgeable about the food, but not pushy. It felt odd to be in a place with so few customers, but if you want to get away from the crowds (we did!), this may be worth trying on a weeknight.

Good food and homemade guacamole

By Mike N |

While visiting Austin for a convention, a group of us ate at Micheladas. The food was very good and they made guacamole table side which was delicious. This place is good for lunch and dinner.

Nice place for lunch and a michelada

By Rosa S |

It's nice, laid back and cozy. The staff is great and I got lots of recommendations for places to visit. I will definitely return.

Don't Go!

By Vicki A |

We were in town on business for a very large conference across the street. 16,000 people here for the conference. We arrived at 11 when they opened. We ordered right away and we're not served until 12:40. We placed the first order of the afternoon. They were out of the things we ordered. When the manager finally came to our table he was extremely rude! Asked what do you want me to do? If you like to be treated badly and want to sit for over 2 hours for lunch, this is your place!! The food was good, but cold. It was a horrible experience.

Lunch while setting up at Convention Center

By Jessica P |

Convenient location on 2nd street. Large dining room. Service was good at beginning but got really slow once I had been served. Food was good. Best received beans I ever tasted. They also fry their own crispy taco shells to order. That was a nice surprise.

Tasty, affordable, quick lunch

By Angela G |

I had 45 minutes between registering for a conference and its starting, this was a convenient place to get lunch. I was really happy to find it was also tasty and the service was good. Excellent homemade salsa. Spicier than I'm used to coming from New England but really good. My main meal was the alembre taco plate, Two tacos filled with steak, bacon, chorizo, poblano, mushroom, onion, tomato, and jack cheese. Excellent!!! It's my first night in town and I'll be here 4 more days. I almost never eat somewhere twice on a trip, but I'm going to be very tempted to go back.

Pretty good food, but serious service issues

By Kristi C |

We had a group of 18 on a Saturday night. First we called to adjust from 20 to 18 same day, and they didn't have our reservation, but they accommodated us. Good location, nice looking restaurant. We were almost the only people in the main part of the restaurant. They may have had a big party on the roof top or something, but wow...service was soooo slow. We were there for an hour before we even placed our food order, and then it came out slow, a couple dishes at a time, with at least one meal completely forgotten and had to be reordered. I did not encounter the bar tender, but several people said he was extremely rude. When the food came out, most of us thought ours was really good or pretty good, with the exception of 1 who was not impressed but can't recall what he ordered. The various tacos were all yummy, and a couple people said the pork chop is really good. The drinks were good when we finally got them. Not an organized staff, rude and slow bar tender, etc. Hoping they are working on some of these issues, we would give them another chance.

Good Mexican food

By Lisa R |

My husband and I ate here recently. We sat outside on the patio. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. I ordered tacos with beef, bacon, and onions. They were delicious. My husband had chicken enchiladas which were pretty dry; they needed more sauce. We both had beans with the meal and both kinds were tasty (drunken beans and black beans). I ordered a grapefruit and tequila drink that was really good

Decent

By Ingrid D |

Colleague and I ate their twice during business trip, and it was good but the second occasion we had really slow service. He forgot to bring the appetizer, and brought my colleagues drink from bar 30 minute after ordering, thus this local spot is hit or miss.

Stay Away!!!

By Michael Z |

DO NOT go here I repeat STAY AWAY! The building looks really cool from the outside but that totally changes once inside! The atmosphere is dead, like non existent! It’s so quite and with all the wood and giant pieces of furniture it’s like walking into a church!! The staff have no energy just zombies walking around aimlessly! They can’t make a decent margarita, it’s all sour mix ! The food, OMG, I got the shredded chicken tacos. If you really want tacos go to Taco Bell! The chicken, at least I think it was chicken, was GRAY!, I think I was dark meat, and shredded it was not ! Huge chucks on the tacos! Took one bite and had to spit it out in a napkin I almost Vomited!

Quick bite!!

By Contessa R |

Stopped by for a quick bite with my daughter after the Gaming Expo if the convention center and we had an hour before our next event. We ate upstairs really nice and clean the bartender was great and the tacos were excellent. Only thing is upstairs it's just the taco bar and downstairs is the full menu. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back.

True Mexican flavor at a great price

By Lailaleil |

By word of mouth, during a convention in Austin, we gave Michelada's a go. We were a rather large group, and in spite of the fact that normally restaurants don't like these kind of groups popping in without reservation, they very graciously accommodate us without making us wait but a couple of minutes. Servers are efficient and kind, food excellent, well presented with true Mexican flavor, not that cumin laden Tex-Mex that most Texas mistake as Mexican. The Enchiladas verdes were a poem, washed down with a true Michelada, a beer drink so popular in Mexico. Everythig is the real Mc Coy. Flavors and service authentic and the price is amazing. After wandering around Austin at dinner time, escaping from other bad experiences, Michelada's reconciled me with Austin's offers for convention guests.

Best burritos we ever had!

By Joann S |

My husband and I just ate there tonight. Absolutely delicious burritos and such a great food presentation! We asked quite a few locals where a good place to eat was and they all mentioned Micheladas and that they loved the food there! They were right. You won’t be disappointed! Would go back again while we are here. You can walk from the Convention center. Only a couple of blocks

Loved this place!!!

By alex w |

Whoa what a great restaurant! Went in with a group of 10 friends and no reservation but had no problem getting a table. I ordered a chorizo spiced pork chop call the Don Chapo and it blew my mind, soooo good! My friends all enjoyed there meals as well and the service was excellent! Not to mention one of the best margaritas I've had in years, get the el presidente. Definitely recommend this spot and I will be back!

Great lunch

By MartieM |

I had the carnitas tacos and loved them. The food was great. The only problem was that there weren't enough food servers to deal with the hordes of us that came in from the convention center across the street.

lunch by convention center

By J E |

At a convention and decided to try this place. It was a nice day and sat on the patio. It was pleasant. The only negative part of their patio are the huge tour buses that are idling outside the convention center. I rather not breath in exhaust while eating. Not the restaurant fault but something to be aware of. The patio is huge for a downtown restaurant. I got the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. Good portion size. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delivered quickly. The sangria was tasty as well. If back in this part of town, I would eat again. Pre tip for entrée and one drink $20.

Good Value

By Michael P |

We did not want to eat at all the high priced restaurants around the convention center so this fit the bill. Good food, fast and friendly service. Their fajitas were a nice change from the normal.

Margaritas &Tacos

By MALove532 |

We were in town for convention. Stopped in first night for a quick bite and cocktail. Sat at bar. Bryan the bartender was extremely busy but he did a great job!! He took great care of us. Chicken tacos were good. My friend had the fish. Liked mine better. Stopped in the second night and that was a mistake. Not enough staff, bartender was rude and another server had a meltdown behind the bar in front of all us customers. Not a good moment. So it's a 50/50 shot. Food is good but service depends on who is working.
