This was our first experience and it will not be the last! We just left and I couldn't wait to write a review. We were warmly welcome upon entering and things only improved from there. We sat on the patio. The music totally added to the entire brunch vibe. Our server Ny was awesome! (Thanks for being so sweet and knowledgeable for us first timers) The food (crab cakes and peach french toast) and the strawberry lemonade was so very delicious!! Looking forward to being in the area again to make our next visit!

There is a long wait as this place is always packed. But after you taste the food you can see why. The chicken was delicious and the honey biscuits are spot on

I found this restaurant on Instagram and after viewing the pictures, I had to pay this spot a visit. My friends and I decided to go on a Saturday around 1:00 and it was a packed house. We had to wait an hour to be seated. The wait didn't bother me; I thought to myself this place must be good!!!! The location is in a plaza off of Cascade a little far if you live inside the perimeter. While waiting, I reviewed the menu and salivated over the IG pictures, and my appetite grew! I was torn between the Shrimp & Grits, Seafood Burger, Smothered chicken & biscuits. I ordered the Salmon Burger and smothered chicken. (I know I'm a fatty, but I couldn't help it). The Seafood burger was excellent, but the smothered chicken was underwhelming. I also ordered the mimosa's, and it was just okay, in my opinion not worth the price. Our waitress was awesome; I believe her name was Dasia. She was super friendly and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to people in the area.

My husband and I popped in to Milk & House on a lunch date. Never did we expect to see such a crowd on a Thursday afternoon. Well I always say to follow the line when you want great food and I am always right! Lol. Although there was a crow, we only waited less than 10 minutes to be seated. I wish I could say the same about our wait for food and service. It took about 15 minutes for our waitress to finally scone to our table after being seated and never acknowledged us. After waiting for our drinks, which took an additional 10-15 min, our food order was finally placed. Not a good place to dine, if you only have a short lunch! We waited an additional 30 minutes to receive our food, after the busperson realized we had been waiting a long time to receive our food...she went and got it for us. Although the se vice and food prep time may have been quite slow, we still enjoyed our lunch. I had the fried lobster tails with corn an jalapeño over cheese grits and my husband had the fried fish biscuits. Both were thoroughly enjoyed, but I had a little fight getting the lobster tail out of the shell. We also shared the fried green tomatoes, which were pretty good except that the crust flakes off when you cut it and the tomatoes themeselvea were not seasoned. The honey biscuits were quite delicious as we ordered an additional one to josh on as we waited for our entrees. The bill for lunch was $55, not too bad for having had lobster. All in all, we would definitely patronize again, hopefully we won’t have to wait as long for our food and service!

Man o man I been waiting on this type of spot for years. They have a wonderful menu with nothing but goodness. My wife loves this place. Soul food and breakfast with a twist of elegance. This is a nice place for whatever occasion.

Food isn’t as good as all the hype. The crab-hash entree was disappointing looked as though they opened a can of crab meat & threw it over some old microwaved cheese hash browns. It wasn’t good; I didn’t eat it or bother to ask for something else. they had to get manager approval to take off $1.50 for a cold honey biscuit so I knew the request to take off $17 would become a battle. The spinach dip tasted like it was old & it was like warm. Eating utensils they only give you a fork so you need to ask for a knife & spoon by the time it was brought to you food is getting cold. I will not return.

This was the first time my sister and I visited this establishment. There was about an hour wait but it was worth it. Overall, great service and the biscuits are delicious. Everything came out hot and the presentation of food was nice. Will definitely return.

Before arriving to Atlanta, I kept hearing about Milk and Honey! The hype and the reviews were spot on. My table ordered different things and we all kind of picked off each others plates. At the table were shrimp and grits (which btw I hate grits but after tasting theirs I immediately knew the grits I tasted before were cooked wrong), red velvet waffles, lemon pepper fish, crab cakes, eggs Benedict on some type of bun, and the warm buttery biscuits served with honey. MY GOD. Lol I was in heaven. The only downside is that the wait time is lonnngggggg. Be prepared to wait about two hours especially if it's on a weekend. Other than that, service was great and the food was even better.

Well not exactly no food. After arriving and placing our names on the list for a table for our group of 6. The wait for a table was just over an hour... but then once seated it was another hour and a half after ordering and one dish came out at about the time the group had pretty much had it and decided we had waited long enough. I cannot speak to how good the meal would have been because after emptying shrimp and grits onto a to go box and placing in the fridge... warming it up was futile. Needless to say, a long anticipated visit to this establishment for us who were all from out of state was a bust because in the end...they did not have enough staff to cook the meals for people that were seated. Complete loss and disapointment.

Visited the Snellville Milk and Honey location for the first time on 12/16/23. We let the host know that this was our first time there. We were seated and given menus. We sat and sat for about 30 minutes. There was only 4 occupied tables including us. Three of them had only 2 people. No one ever came to acknowledge us or offer us a drink, or anything. There was one waitress for the other three tables who seemed to just ignore us and tend to the other guests. Maybe we weren't her table, not sure. There were at least 6 other staff members at the front with uniforms on talking to one another and a gentleman in street clothes that seemed to be working on the register. We did decide to leave. We let the hostess know why we were leaving. He just said okay, have a good day. They do not even care, no service recovery, no nothing. The customer service was terrible. My husband and I never got review the food and sadly never will because we will not be back. Customer service is just as important as the food. We live less that 5 minutes away and would have been regulars if we had a good experience. Do not recommend the Snellville location.

We arrived at 11:45am (Sunday) and was seated at 1pm. Waited for our food for another 49 minutes. My husband had the half & half waffles and he stated that the red velvet portion lived up to the hype. I had scrambled eggs, chicken sausage and hash browns and it was really good. Is it worth the wait? Absolutely not! However, if you get here the moment they open...you’re golden.

My husband and I recently visited Milk and Honey to try their brunch menu. I was excited to learn that it is owned by Chef Sammy Davis, a Chopped Champion. His restaurant was named in an AJC article that was shared on Facebook. We arrived at 10:30 and were seated right away. When we left at 11:30, there was a line out the door, so arrive early if you can. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits; I ordered the seafood burger. Both were good. My husband said that his meal was filling. My burger could have used less sauce. They put too much on it and it was quite tangy. All in all, it was a good, satisfying meal. While I didn’t try the waffles. I saw several other customers did and they looked delicious. Will put them on my list to try the next time I eat there.

I was in town to send my god daughter off to college. We ordered takeout from Milk and Honey. The first shock I received was looking at my receipt to see there was a 18% gratuity. The other shock was to find out I did not get all my food I had paid for. They missed 2 orders of scrambled eggs. The food was pretty good except the eggs were not edible. They tasted like they were powdered eggs. When I let the person know I did not get my eggs or any syrup she gives me the eggs and stated no one said you needed syrup. We ordered pancakes and french toast and expected syrup. I want to know how automatically 18% was given when the order was not even completed correctly and customer service was lacking. Just asking.

I took my friend and sister here, and we sat on the patio. It was nice since they had a net to keep away the bugs but still the pleasure of the Atlanta heat!

Great Food! The restaurant is small and we were seated in the enclosed patio; however since it was actually cold this day, there were huge space heaters that was pretty dangerous especially for where I was sitting. But other then that, the food was tasty. I definitely plan to go back. The biscuits is a MUST HAVE

After being seated, my friends and I waited at least 10 minutes for waiter/waitress. I had to ask the host for service! Asked several times for water and didn't receive water until after the 4th request. The waitress kept saying we're short staffed but there were several waitresses/waiters walking around. Furthermore, the restaurant was not busy. They last straw was my friend's ordered mimosas, and I didn't. She split the bill adding half of their mimosa to my bill without asking. Better service is needed but the food was amazing.

Milk and Honey is my favorite new spot. The staff was extremely nice and the food is delicious. My so ordered the fish and biscuits and we had the seafood burger. Man...everything was so good. The burger is huge so I could only eat half and I ordered fries as my side. I did taste my son's biscuit and it was so soft and fluffy. My compliments to the chef. 😊. They do celebrate birthdays as well and they give a birthday waffle which is fun and sweet but the ultimate surprise were when the staff began to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY...what a pleasant voices they have. It was awesome and we will definitely be back. The portion sizes are great and the prices are average dine in restaurant prices.

My sister in law suggested this restaurant, after experiencing their food during a catering event at Word of Faith Cathedral. I believe the restaurant is considering opening a location within The restaurant opens at 11am! Please plan to get there early or expect a wait (for good reason). There are multiple posts that say the restaurant does not take reservations. They're located in a shopping strip, so the parking is tight. Food was amazing. Sister in law and I had the shrimp and grits, wife had eggs, grits, and with turkey sausage. My father in law had a veggie burger with steak cut fries. We also had 2 orders of the red velvet waffles and 1 key lime waffle. They have a fried lobster and grits that I need to try on my next trip. The empty plates testified that the food was easy on the palate. Our primary waitress was excellent. Did not catch her name, but the receipt says "Bosskwaw". They have a team approach, which means anyone walking by your table will service your request. There is a reason for the long wait folks!.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and great service. The staff and management were very attentive to our needs. The rotisserie chicken spin on the chicken and waffle meal gives an alternative to those that may want baked vs. fried chicken. Also the waffle half and half red velvet and key lime is well worth the visit. My husband had the seafood burger and he was just as pleased with his meal. Keep up the great job Milk and Honey!!

Went there yesterday after going to the John Lewis Quilt show at the Atlanta SouthWest Art Center. I had shrimp and catfish over cheesy grits. The food was delicious and the waitress very pleasant and attentive. I really enjoy my meal there. It was so much I could only eat half.

Cool place! Staff very warm and welcoming...food was great and different! Mimosa’s were outstanding and creative!

I love the location of this restaurant being on cascade road. The outside is super cute and the inside it small and quaint but they have outdoor seating with heat lamps when appropriate. This place is pretty popular and you may have to wait if you go during a popular time like I did (Saturday @12pm). The service was slow and the waitress kept forgetting things we asked for but it was busy so I can’t really blame her. The biscuit is yummy and the French toast is too. I would visit again when I don’t have anywhere else to be by a certain time right after.

Phenomenal food. Always get the shrimp and grits with the bread. Yummy. Great customer service. Always busy though. Be prepared to wait

If your are eating here, you MUST,arrive early. Our wait time was 35 mins and we got there at 10:30. The food was deliss, especially the Milk and Honey waffles and the grits. The service was also very good. The only down side was the folks in front of us kept letting their friends and family cut the line, which made the line longer.

Went for a business lunch. Menu had a good variety of southern food. Had the shrimp and grits. Was a very large portion for the price. Service was a little slow but place was very busy for lunch hour. Would definitely go back again.

We came for Sunday brunch and arrived at 12noon. People everywhere outside and it was hot. There was No where to sit and wait so we waited in our car. The wait was 90 minutes. Unfortunately we were seated outside under make shift tents with fans blowing and flies flying. After we placed our order another random person in a jogging suit came to ask if we wanted to order an appetizer which meant the food wait would be long. The appetizer came quickly but they ran out of silverware so we ate with plastic forks. The food came out in about 25 minutes. The food was good especially the waffles, pork chops, and shrimp and grits. The crab Benedict’s egg was over cooked. The atmosphere, the heat and the wait made for a bad experience. My advice if you want to survive in Atlanta it’s not just the food that matters it’s the entire experience. No go for me.

We are a family of five (2 adults, 1 senior citizen, 2 children ages 2 and 7). We went to the Milk and Honey on 5495 Cascade Road in Atlanta, Georgia on Mother's Day, this past Sunday, May 11. Per my receipt, we were Order #9. The receipt shows the order being taken at 11:03 AM on May 11. We got our food after 1:00 PM!!! After an hour and a half we finally asked for our appetizer so the kids could have something on their stomach. I am the grandmother and I was taking my daughter and daughter-in-law out for Mother's Day. Because my daughter-in-law recommended this restaurant, I stayed and tried to limit my displeasure. I live in Alpharetta, and you would NEVER wait that long for food--EVER. My kids said mom, don't complain, let's just make the best of it. So, I suffered silently. Our waiter, Deion was so sweet. He was doing his best. I made sure he got a $35 tip. He had no control over the kitchen or management. The problem is, they were doing take-out orders along with trying to serve the in-house restaurant constituents. The people who were ordering take-out were getting their food immediately. It made me angry seeing bags of take-out being given to those walking in while we waited over 2 hours to get our meal. Other restaurants do no do take-out on Mother's Day or major holidays because of the number of people in the restaurant. Was the food good? Somewhat. The Brussels sprouts were horrible. The rest of the food wasn't bad but when you shell out $165 before the 18% gratuity and an additional $10 on top of that, you expect better, much better. When we did get our food we asked for to-go boxes and took it home. They should just be a take-out restaurant. It's obvious they are not concerned for their dine-in restaurant constituents. I recommend you enjoy the food as a take-out order. Do not dine in. You'll be sadly disappointed. Oh, and don't order the Brussels sprouts!

This spot is everything! Banging chicken and waffles (and i was not a fan until i jad their half red velvet half key lime waffle and chicken strips), the fried salmon platter is everything and there is so much more to choose from. Now writing this review, im preparing myself to get on that hour long waitlist this weekend to have some of the best brunch in the city.

First time here. And we will return tomorrow ! Wow ! Excellent service, atmosphere and food. Very impressed with the total package offered at this establishment.

The food and service was top notch period! The servers and waiters were knowledgeable and fast. I had a great experience!

The staff was amazing. The food was incredible. Since it is always packed, it was pretty warm on the inside, didn't feel like it had good air condition. But the food was definitely worth the discomfort.

Was inviters here by my daughter for dinner. The food was different in that the shrimp and grits had the frozen vegetable medley (carrots, green beans and corn) different. The waitress was nice Yaya, she was frustrated but held it together. I will return for a second visit to try something else. The restrooms were the worst I’ve seen in a restaurant (worst than a truck stop) paper all over the floor , soap dispenser on the counter, no toilet paper, female door lock was broken with a note (please knock the door is broken) A simple run to the hardware store could fix that. There was 20 employees there, one person per hour could check the restrooms.

This was my 4th vist. Although there is always a long wait this place never disappoints. The service is always good. The food is always great! Definitely worth the wait! Come 30 mins before opening for shorter wait. We had the strawberry lemonade mimosas along with the chicken spinach dip as an appetizer. Our entrees were shrimp and grits and southern fried lobster and grits. We also had a milk n honey biscuit that was delicious.

I'm from the Chicago area, and there's a similar restaurant in our Lincoln Park neighborhood called Batter & Berries (highly recommend if in the area). So I knew that when I was told what kind of cuisine M&H specialized in that I would like it, and my prediction was correct. The wait staff was super sweet and I loved my food. Please go!

I ordered the salmon hash(AMAZING)! My wife ordered Shrimp and grits(Even More Amazing)! It was 4 of us AND i ordered food to go & the meal only came to $80👀😮! My New Favorite Restaurant!! You can taste the difference of a chef cooking your food or just someone who can cook pretty good! THIS IS A CHEF!!!! 🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥

The food was good I’ll say that, but the chicken tenders were extremely salty. I had the smothered chicken & biscuits while my friend had a red velvet waffle with chicken tenders. We both experienced this lip numbing saltiness from the chicken. That was the only con! The biscuits are delicious and fluffy, the red velvet waffle is extremely flavorful and not to sweet. The staff is helpful and friendly which is while I know we will return and try other dishes.

I ate here two days in row. Same food both days. I had the shrimp and grits and ordered a biscuit on the side. The consistency and flavor of the grits and the perfectly seasoned and cooked shrimp made this one of my favorite meals ever. To top it off, the biscuit drizzled with honey is far and above any others I have ever tried. The chef/owner won the Redemption show on Food Network's Chopped for his shrimp and grits, and it is easy to see why. If you go on a busy day, prepare to wait a bit. Still well worth it.

I was excited to dine at this restaurant when my daughter told me about it. I admitt she layed it on heavy, and so I was anxious to go. I ordered a pork chop dish, and even though I read the menu, I was not happy with what was placed before me. It came in the form of an open sandwich on a slice of bread, with the chop resting on scrambled eggs. They should have grilled the chop, instead of frying...it was dry. I truly believe that I choose the wrong dish this time, and besides, I had an upset stomach. The milk and honey bread was great.

The food is GREAT! My husband and I have gone twice and both times we have loved the food. We had the shrimps and grits with a honey biscuit. It was very good!

The wait was very long! It doesn’t help that no reservations are taken. We were a party of 2 and checked in at 12:16 pm and were seated at 1:53 pm. People show up before they open and already were waiting in line. Be prepared to wait some more even when you’re seated! Took forever to be greeted and took just as long to get our drinks. We ordered the strawberry lemonade mimosa pitcher which was $25. We had the milk and honey biscuit to start. I had the milk and honey waffle with milk and honey rotisserie chicken. My sister had the red velvet waffle with the rotisserie sweet and spicy chicken. I like the concept of choosing your own flavor waffle and chicken. The food was delicious! No complaints at all, the only reason why I took a star away is because of the ridiculous wait.

I’ve been hearing so many positive reviews about this place and I must say believe them! Their signature biscuits smothered in butter and honey are absolutely delicious. I love their mimosa pitchers and crab hash. Well done!

Easy in and out from the main road. The atmosphere is classic, clean and upscale. The presentation of the food is exemplary. It is not fast food slapped on a plate. It is made with attention to detail. The food is so much more than most could expect, this is a compliment in every way. The service is where they excel. The food is prepared, it is not microwaved drivethrough, don't expect packet meals. The food, like what your grandmother makes, does not fly out in two seconds. Enjoy the scenery, put down the phone, unplug from your screen time and talk with the other patrons and staff, it is that kind of environment. Wait time is never been an issue. Like any hidden gem, sometimes there might be some large parties coming in. Don't let it distract you in anyway, there is always a place to sit everytime I go there will friends or family or sneak out for a quite bite on my own. Thank you Dina.

What a wonderful brunch we had today! The food and service was excellent! I highly recommend it. You might need to call and make reservations because it was a line outside to get in. Fish and grits, shrimp and grits and sooo much more!!! Enjoy!!!

We tried Milk and Honey restaurant because of all the great reviews on IG and how delicious the food looked on the IG pictures. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was great! My daughter and I each tried The Award Winning Shrimp & Grits which were very filling portions. The grits were creamy with just the right amount of cajun cream sauce. A lot of places try to short you on the shrimp, but the portion at Milk and Honey had a good portion of shrimp along with turkey sausage. I also tried the Georgia Peach Cognac French Toast. Sooo good! My wife had a half and half Signature Waffle with one half red velvet and one half milk and honey. Another great choice! My wife let me taste the waffle. I liked the milk and honey side better. My wife and I also had mimosas. I had strawberry and she had cranberry. She said she liked the strawberry as it was a little sweeter. If you plan to go make sure you either get there early if it's on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) or go during the week. We went on a Saturday morning and the line started forming at 10:30am. They open at 11am.

After reading the reviews about the weekend wait times, we chose a Thursday to give them a try. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. We were seated almost immediately. (Very near the door, which was a bit awkward with a small baby in tow. But everyone was courteous.) The server provided a great explanation of the menu and options available. We had the Cascade Burger, the crab hash and the salmon hash. My husband and daughter also had honey butter biscuits. They were tender and delicious. Both the hash dishes were excellent (the chunks of crab meat were awesome). And that burger was gigantic!! The combination of great service and better food will bring us back, for sure. So very happy to have great food choices in the South Fulton area.

Ms. Dina our server as usual is exceptional! Each and every time we go there, it is like visiting family. Ms. Brittany and Mr. Deon are all smiles when they greet you at the door. Mr. Benjamin’s masterful creations in the kitchen are exquisite. He has serious culinary skills. Presentation and cleanliness focused on superior taste are paramount for them here. Do yourself a favor and take your family, friends and colleagues to this fine establishment. It is with great appreciation and gratitude that I write this review. Merci Thank you all so much. Respectively Elias

Pretty good atmosphere and the food is great. I’m guessing the flies liked it too because that is my biggest complaint. I ordered the big chicken biscuit dish and it was good, but the chicken was fried hard and was dry so I had to add a lot of honey butter to create a dish with a little more moisture. I will definitely go back and try some other things on the menu. It was really hard to choose from all they had to offer. It all seemed amazing.

Horrible, fix your customer service, Keith lee is was right I waited way to get a reservation and it took forever. I just left, you guys better do better because people will take their business elsewhere!

Came here for brunch on a Saturday and was not disappointed.Let me just say this: You'd better get there within 30 minutes of them opening, or else you will wait an hour to be seated. The food is that good. I had the fried fish biscuit and the waffle. Did half red velvet, half traditional milk& honey. It was all amazing. Tried my girlfriend's bbq pulled chicken biscuit. Also wonderful. I'll keep it short, the menu is short, but every item is delicious. Every item has the visual appeal. The food is seasoned like your grandma was in the back cooking it. I can't stress it enough. Get there early. Matter of fact, get there before they open so you can easily be seated as soon as they open. Thank me later.

I have to admit, they do not have an advance reservation option which I was disappointed in but if you plan on going, expect to wait in line or possibly in your car until your number is called because the Georgia sun is HOT! Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food, everything came prepared nice and hot. I did not like the fact we were kind of forced to sit in the patio/outdoor area because the inside was PACKED and the smell from the dumpsters not too far away ruined my appetite on top of trying to stay cooled down. Food suggestions, out of my group..everyone had a waffle (the red velvet BABY! was flawless) the other sides were cooked to perfection. I also had the Seafood burger and well, I couldn't put it down! With this restaurant, I don't think you can order "wrong" because I heard no complaints from the other tables either lol its a MUST TRY!

Don't let the casual dining atmosphere fool you. Eat in service has table service. The brunch/lunch menu has so many delicious choices. It was difficult to decide but I settled on the lobster gumbo and grits. Aside from the mix vegetables mixed into the gumbo, the dish was great. When in Atlanta again, I have to come back to try one of the various waffle flavors or biscuit dishes.

Oh my gosh.....this place was a mess!!! We had to wait forever for our food. It was chaotic and confusing; even the staff seemed quite confused. They brought our food out in bags (I'll chalk that up to COVID). But they brought it out one by one, with long waits in between so that some of us were finishing up by the time others got their food. I must say, the food was fairly good but, in all honesty, I must say, the experience was marred by the terrible customer service. There was one "gentleman" who was quite rude, argumentative and offensive. After rudely bringing our food, he let us know (when we asked questions) that he was not our server. It seemed he was having a very bad day. Either that or he was just in the wrong business.

Crab Hash and Lobster Fritters were delicious. My server Tiara " On Her Way Up" was excellent! She was personable, exciting and knowledgeable of the menu with great suggestions for dinner. A wonderful combination of great food and service! Don’t forget your dessert...Peach Cobbler the BOMB!

We was visiting family and they suggested this as a place for a nice lunch.. well let me tell you I ordered the chicken and waffles..wow is all I can say.. if you are on the south side of Atlanta..you gotta try this restaurant..

The food was good, but it definitely was not worth the cost. It seems like they only seasoned the sauce, and nothing else had any flavor. As other have mentioned, we had heard so much about this place but it was not all that. We don't need to go again.

My review is the total experience (ambiance and food) of this restaurant. From the moment my sister and I walked in to this place I didn't get a good vibe. The place just didn't feel clean and it felt cluttered. When we sat at the table the chairs were plastic dinner style chairs, the kind you would expect at a lower budget restaurant. We were taken back when the waiter came and placed plastic cutlery wrapped in cellophane (like for take out) on the table. When my sister mention this the waiter brought some silverware also wrapped in cellophane. The music was so loud we could barely hear the waiter info on the dishes. I was so ready to leave. I watched this Chef/owner of this restaurant on "Chopped" and I know he likes to combine unusual flavors/ingredients....I like that! So I got the "fried" salmon on top of spinach and hash browns covered with a cream sauce. The salmon was dry, which I should have expect since it was fried....the flavor was good. Then I had corn in a Gouda and jalapeno cream sauce which came to the table in a styrofoam bowl with the sauce running down the sides.....awwwh. My sister had the Gumbo (with barely any seafood) and was surprise to find it had "mixed vegetable" (string beans and carrots) in it. Both of these dishes were priced at $18.00 and looked really good. The food was served on plastic plates with plastic drinking glasses. I see all the great reviews, so I guess I came in with high expectations which is why I was so disappointed.

Went on a Sunday, there was an 80 minute wait. Finally seated, seated outside, next to a concrete post, ants crawling everywhere, asked to be moved, waitress said no, because that would mess up her tip, had the busboy wipe the post down with a bleach towel, needless to say the ants returned within 5 minutes. I was over it and ready to go at this point, food had already been ordered, took over 30 minutes for a basic waffle. Food was not good, will never return.

I have visited Milk & Honey a dozen times, but this is the first time I’ve had to write a review. The quality of the food has typically been consistent, but the service has declined over the years. The quality of the food is no longer worth the service received or the drive to its outskirts location. There are too many other better options in Atlanta. We arrived on Saturday morning just before they opened at 11:00. After the doors opened 5 minutes late, the 3 of us entered with the long line of people waiting for the doors to open. We were told that because we only had 3 out of 4 in our party, we could not be seated at a table of 4. As well, if we were seated, the 4th would not be able to join us. So although the restaurant was nearly empty, we had to wait 30 minutes and watch the restaurant fill up in front of our eyes. We were barely seated when our 4th arrived, just before the typical 45-minute waiting time to be seated started to kick in. We ordered 4 biscuits as appetizers. 3 honey biscuits came at the same time. The biscuit & gravy came 10 minutes later. We also ordered 2 shrimp & grits, 1 lobster gumbo & grits, a half rotisserie chicken, with a side of grits and eggs, and then a bread pudding for afterwards. The lobster gumbo, shrimp & grits, the side of grits & eggs all came out first. The lobster gumbo was cold, needing to be sent back. Rotisserie chicken came out 15 minutes late, after the side of grits & eggs it was ordered with. We were told the desserts were not prepared on site, but the bread pudding still came out cold, when I was told it was served warm. It needed to be sent back to microwave. Monee was our server & was professional & courteous. I don’t believe these issues are attributed to her. But the difficultly of being seated, paired with the unprofessional timing the food was served, along with the frustration of having to send food back, we probably will not recommend or visit this restaurant for a very long time. If management reads this, don’t apologize because you didn’t care when I mentioned these issues at the time in the restaurant.

We came here for a party of 3. My husband and I checked in and ask if we can get seated right away because I’m diabetic and need to eat right away. The 3rd person in our party is within 10 minutes away. We were refused to be seated even though we said our 3rd person is within 10 minutes away. We spoke to the manager and she’s not accommodating. She did say she’s diabetic also and knows I have to eat right away. She said she will get me a biscuit to hold me over. That biscuit never came. There was no line, no waiting.... So much for customer service. Hope this manager gets to keep her manager job because she suck at this.

We visited milk and honey in Atlanta Georgia on Cascade Road with our two daughters for spring break. We were delighted that the South was so friendly the food was so good and the atmosphere was inviting. We stayed here for a week and we went back to this restaurant twice. Lovely time great food great people!

We went here on a friend's recommendation. The place was not very busy for a Friday but we still had to wait a long time for our waitress. The service was friendly and attentive - no problems. We had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The were good. My friend had the crab cake egg benedict and I had their award winning shrimp and grips. The grits were almost like soup in a broth with way too much butter. The shrimp did not really taste that fresh. They brought out biscuits and they tasted like the were made from a pilsbury can. The crab cakes were ok but not anything great about the flavor. If you want food in this category I recommend Folk Art in Inman park. Still this is just my opinion - there are loads of people who love this restaurant. The other thing is the cost. Most of the menu items are 15-20 dollars We spent 60 dollars for 2 and we didn't order any drinks.

It's Sunday and me my girlfriend decided to try out Milk and Honey for brunch. Now she's coming from Powder Springs and I'm coming from Cherokee so let's say the drive was an hour. Once get there parking is terrible that you have to drive far away to just park. When check in they state its a hour and forty five minute wait now we knew that wait times here were long so we kind of understood that. What we didn't realize is that it's a very small place with not allot of sitting.. we finally get seated order drinks to find out that they don't sell cocktails only mimosas we order a pitcher, we decided to share our food. I will say we were hungry we all the wait times from the drive, seating and delivery of food to the table. Once food got to the table we realize that it's NOT hot it's was just okay although for the long wait times your food should be piping hot since it comes out pretty quickly. That was a true disappointment. We were so hungry we didn't let anyone know. The famous milk and honey biscuit does come out warm enough to enjoy and it's really good that we ordered four. We ate the shrimp and grits, crab hash, two pieces of whitings, two eggs over easy by the time we got done we had to take the banana foster french toast home. We are thinking we need to come during the week versus the weekend so we won't have to endure the wait times and praying our food will be hot and fresh. Now if you're looking to have a birthday meal this is definitely the birthday place there must have been at least 10 happy birthday songs sang from the time we have been waiting and during our meal. I recommend snack on something before coming here, they don't take reservations, your entire party needs to at restaurant when they let you know your table is ready or you will not be seated and go to the bathroom before getting there because with all the busyness no one going back to check to make sure bathroom is clean and smell appropriate.

We heard so much about this restaurant and was excited to give it a try. This was our first and last time here! A group of us went to the one in Decatur, Ga and it was the worst! The mimosas were watered down, the glasses smelled were dirty and plastic with lipstick prints on them. The glasses smelled of sour mop water... It was gross. I ordered the chicken wings and waffles... The chicken was salty and nasty and the waffles were so hard that you couldn't eat it. The knife couldn't cut through it!!I could have did a much better job. The fried green tomatoes were the only thing I enjoyed. Unfortunately for us... We didn't fuss about all of the issues trying to support a restaurant.

My husband and had brunch here. The menu had a good variety of entrees and appetizers. The wait was worth it. We waited 20 minutes to be seated but some people that arrived after us waited longer. Check the opening time and go as early as possible. Great food, we will definitely be back

The one on Cascade is really cut with a nice vibe. Music was on point and not too loud. Destiny my server was amazing. The food was also delicious. Seasoned just right. Will definitely be back.

I’ve heard great things about Milk and Honey so I decided to give it a try! The vibes, decor, and food was all spot on! I had the seafood burger, my friend had the lobster and egg biscuit and we both tried the Unicorn drink. We both enjoyed our meal and drink! We can’t wait to come back and try something different next time!

I loved the food but didn't like the long wait. we went on a Sunday and it was a 2 hour wait to get in but the food was worth the wait. I enjoyed the Milk and Honey Rotisree Chicken

If i could give this place 100 stars I would. The wait time was 2.5 hours but it was well worth it. The service from the time we entered until leaving was excellent. The honey biscuit is a must!! I thoroughly enjoyed the smothered lobster tails and grits. I literally smiled everytime I took a bite. If you hadn't visted you must put this at the top of your list!
Long Wait time, delicious food
Our server YaYa was very cordial and tentative to our table. We quickly placed our order once we were seated. We were not aware if we could RSVP or not but we waited an 1 hour and 45 minutes to be seated. The time flew by for us because we were chatting it up with a couple we had not seen in months and we were seated on the inside (there is very limited wait seating on the inside so we were very blessed to get seats while we waited). I recommend getting your name on the list first, then park. To appease our appetite quickly, we ordered the milk and honey biscuit and a biscuit with sausage & gravy on the side. TASTY! For our main treat my husband and I split the fried salmon and the waffle; which was half keylime and half red velvet (YaYa let us know in advance that the waffles would take longer to come out). The sauce that came on top of the fried salmon was great! We said the same thing too, "fried salmon????". Yes, it's worth a try. Our friends ordered the keylime waffle and the milk and honey waffles with chicken tenders. I must say I preferred the flavor of the milk and honey waffles over our half & half flavored waffles. The chicken tenders were seasoned well, no complaints there. We will come back, and when we do, we want to try the peach cognac french toast and the seafood burger.
