Old school Chicago establishment with food vibes and drinks. Delicious drinks and vibes! Amazing eats in a typical Chicago setting.

If you like old fashions, make sure to get one here as it was perfect! Love the story and dark old school atmosphere. Our waitress was Amy and she was awesome, as she constantly checked on us and we never had to wait for a drink.

Stopped here just after arriving in Chicago. We were staying at the Palmer House which is right next door. My daughter and I had the french dip sandwich with a side of fries and a beer. Staff was super friendly & the food was great! Couldn’t ask for a better start to our trip!

It was actually Jan 2024. We were in Chicago on the way to the Grand Canyon by train and then Vegas or so we thought. We were on our honeymoon (second marriage for both). But it was insanely cold - so cold the train tracks froze. So we could not leave and we had a night in Chicago. We stopped by nearby Warehouse Liquors to stock up for the cold night (also excellent) nearby and they recommended this pub. Great place. Not sure what else you want in a Chicago pub - history, just enough TVs, a great Turkey Reuben, wings, Greek salad. Not fake retro but a real example of a legit Chicago bar. The waitress told me to get the blue cheese olive my martini(s) and she was right. We had a fantastic time. I only remember it fondly. I want to go back. I looked it up today thinking about it and I was thrilled to read the history and see its deserved high ranking among Chicago restaurants. Our honeymoon could have been wrecked. Instead we stumbled into what has to be one of the best bars in Chicago. When I think of places where I think “that was just a great place to have a drink”, this is really high on my list.

The "Famous Greek Salad" was basically iceberg lettuce with tasteless, orangey, supermarket tomatoes plus exactly three olives, some feta and some purple onion. For $15.95 I expected much, much more. I had to leave there and go have lunch. It must be "famous" for being so bad. Really, if you're going to promote something on your menu as "famous", it should probably be good. I had intended to have the Beyond burger (also featured prominently on the menu), but they were out of it, which admittedly aded to my disappointment. The server did not help our impression of this place. She was clearly not happy to be serving us. Long wait for everything. They get 2 stars for the decent beer, but I would not go there if I were you unless it's just to get a beer.

I dropped in here during a recent business trip to Chicago and couldn't rate it more highly. It's a big bar but still retains real character. The staff are friendly and the food is great and reasonably priced for downtown Chicago.

Came here on a referral from a local business owner. She said to order the chicken pot pie. We ordered one for each of us. Very delicious with huge chunks of chicken. We will be back.

Food was very good. Staff very attentive. We were a large party and they were able to arrange seating with short notice. Spinach dip was very good. The salad with grilled shrimp was very fresh. Spanakopita was excellent. A very nice surprise as we stayed at Palmer hotel and this was. 20 second walk in the pouring rain.

This was my 2nd time at Millers, the first time over 10 years ago. The atmosphere is still the same: Warm, inviting, comfortable. We had the Mediterranean appetizer, it was so good I’ll get that as my meal next time. Entrees we’re liked by all, I had an issue with my steak not being cooked correctly. They tried to make it right but the chef just made it worse, they did take it off my bill. It won’t stop me from coming back though, all the other food was great and our server was spot on throughout our entire meal.

Tried twice during our stay in Chicago, Miller's Pub combines a lively atmosphere with a wide and varied gastronomic offer. In particular, the house specialties immediately attracted us, easily fulfilling the good premises. Spanakopita among all, with its tasty combination of feta and spinach expertly wrapped in phyllo dough, conquered every palate. Promoted!

Came here with the family for dinner due to the convenient location to our hotel and the menu. They had pretty good standard bar food and a variety of beer choices.

We frequent the city of Chicago a few times a year and we always make Miller's a stop. Great food and drinks and excellent service. This time the props go to Tony behind the bar. We are bar flys and we know what good looks like. Friendly, attentive and patient. Ask for him next time you stop. (he works 7pm - 4am)

Had a prime rib au jus dip for lunch Meat was all fat. Bun was soggy wet. Au jus was tasteless and bland A Chicago institute restaurant that needs to get with the times. Stale

We, along with everyone in town was looking for a restaurant after the Cubs and Bears games. 30 min wait bur once we were seated, service was fast! All the servers were working at top speed. Waiter was attentive and food was good.

I love this place. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere. Had to wait about 40 minutes to get seated on a Wednesday night. (There is no seating while waiting.) Service and food was great, as always. I know the walls have secrets from the 30's and 40's. Tried to hear what they had to say, but the secrets are still secret. It's noisy so not a place for business dinners or an intimate dinner. Its a place for fun. Lots of large parties and families with kids.

What an absolute GEM of a Pub/restaurant right in the heart of the city. The food is fantastic. The staff very attentive and it's a lovely atmosphere. I had the large Ribeye steak with all the trimmings and a delicious apple cider. I cant stress enough what a great place to eat this is.

Great Irish food. Excellent atmosphere and history. Staff was friendly and fast. The place was packed, but we still got a table quickly. Everything about our experience was positive.

We live 100 miles away. When we get to Chicago we vary where we go. Have been here probably 10 times over the years. Prices are reasonable. Menu more limited during COVID. Observing precautions well. Waiter was ok, didn't check on us after for came, hubby has to flag him down because his ribs were barely warm and her likes his food hot. They microwaved then but he got them back as I was finishing my meal. Disappointed, but he liked the taste. Spanikopita appetizer was as good as I remember from years past. An old standby that has later thorough the years.

Great looking pub with a very good beer selection. Let down by slow service and strange rules! We were there later and there were many empty tables in the bar area, despite this we were not allowed to sit down without food. We offered to move if they suddenly filled up but still it was a no. Overall not a bad place though.

Went here because a co-worker bragged about the Fried Chicken. Got into town on a Sunday and walked next door to Millers from my hotel. Very old bar and a ton of history...bar was packed and it took awhile for me to get a seat. I started with the Shrimp Cocktail which was very good...maybe a tad more horseradish....the Caesar salad that came before the chicken was excellent....mash potatoes and gravy were above average but not great....The Fried Chicken was ok...4 pieces..2 not much meat on them, and the larger pieces did not blow me away....there seemed to be some confusion and lag in service as the bartenders were changing shifts....Ill go back but will order something different

Having just left a gig and feeling both hungry and thirsty this place hit the mark with great craft beers and buffalo wings.

This was the third time visiting in the last six years. We love to stop here. Great history and atmosphere. Good food. Noticed it was pretty noisy on this most recent visit and it was hard to talk to the server.

Busy downtown bar on Wabash with a good bar scene. Real busy on Friday nights and the beer menu was mostly unavailable when I called but I still found a good pint to quaff. Plenty of friendly folk in there so I'd go back but can't really rave about this place.

We were very impressed by the ambience and were served excellently at the bar by Kevin, a very nice bartender. That's why we're the next 2 days also come back. We ate the ribs. They're addictive. Overall very good.

We have eaten here several times when in Chicago, and we keep coming back because it's good every time. The last time we had lunch--fish 'n chips and Reuben sandwiches--and both were delicious. Service and atmosphere were both great!

Highly recommend finding another bar/restaurant to eat drink in as the manager has a serious attitude problem, enjoying a beer after the marathon when approached and rudely told to give up our seats when we were sat at table awaiting to order food, tried to explain our situation and his response was “im the manager I’m taking those seats,

The restaurant looks old-style and cozy. Maybe I had bad luck with my chicken breast sandwich. The burgers on the neighboring tables looked better.

The perfect place for some honest pub food. Friendly staff and lively ambience. Try the prawn cocktail or the mezze platter.

Nice dinner. Would give five stars if they hadn’t seated us in the last booth by the bathrooms and server’s station. No ambience at all and noisy and constant traffic (who wants to see bathroom visits over and over?). Food was good and service from CeCe was outstanding. But the fact we were almost seated inside the bathrooms was gross and off putting.

Had the Prime rib on a Monday night. Seemed tough to me, carrots were done perfectly. The rice pilaf could have used some character to liven them up. Manhattans from the bar met the mark, and the triple chocolate cake also was as you would expect from the basic dessert menu. Repeat visit…….. yes the next time I’m in town.

Had to wait a while to be seated as restaurant was very busy. Food was great, especially the steaks! Portion sizes were very generous. Service was good and staff very friendly and polite, although appeared to be overwhelmed by busy restaurant.

Busy Saturday night visit - the atmosphere was very neat - classic pub feel. Food was very good - service from our waiter was lacking. All in all a good meal.

We had just finished our three hour tour from a Chicago Greeter, and he recommended this place. I am so glad he did. It is amazing. The ribs were fantastic as was the chicken. We returned twice. The bread rolls were so delicious that I asked if I could take the remainder back to our hotel. They wrapped them up in a box and also popped some butter in. I regret not remembering the servers names. My husband loved the different beers. There is a lot of history associated with Millers.

The Miller Pub is located close to the Palmer House Hotel and provides for a good informal dining experience. The staff are quite friendly and their service is very good. The food was fairly good and I was most impressed by the fact that having found that my charge card was missing next morning, I went back to the restaurant to inquire if it was found, and a manager went and pulled it out of a cash drawer for me....I was so happy!

I gotta admit —- our very first stop on our annual trip to Chicago for the last 10 years is Millers —- for the lunch time prime rib sandwich. It never disappoints. This is good old fashioned “home cooking” with “comfort food mashed potatoes” at its best. On the “price/value” scale Miller’s is one of our favorites. And, always, terrific friendly service. Not so sure about the renovations resulting in the “open dining room” —- will have to take another look when we return next year!

Miller's is a large bar, chances are you will find a spot. Good selection of drinks, I had fried onion rings on the side. The rings were okay, but the dip wasn't very tasty. The staff is a bit stand off-ish, not particularly welcoming. Probably due to the tourist turnover not worth it for them to exchange pleasantries.

Was suggested as a nice place to go. A group went there on a busy Saturday afternoon. We were to my surprise seated right away. Waiter was Marcos, who was attentive, helpful, friendly and moved to refill drinks, bring food and any extra items requested. He even offered a penlight to read the menu as the pub has a lower light atmosphere in the back. Always a good sign to see a restaurant busy on a weekend when the regular 9-5 crowd is out of town. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and there’s something to satisfy anyone’s appetite. Will go again.

I was craving a steak and got the sirloin mainly due to price. I was impressed with the quality. Cooked perfectly, though it could have used some salt. The service was incredible and we went back for dessert after the show.

Just love this place. There is so atmospheric there with the way it is decorated, the music they play and the staff. Can be very busy, probably because of its popularity. And they keep up late, so you can go there and grab some drinks after a show or concert. Visit this place and enjoy the place. If you are like me, you will not be disappointed.

The most awful pub I've been in. More like Guantanamo Bay than a pub. Every single staff member treats you as if you are a huge nuisance for coming in. The people at the door scowl at you, and as soon as we sat at the bar, the barwoman said "You need to order something to sit there." when we challenged her and the staff, she ran away. The staff at the door were miserable and did not care and seemed to think it's normal behaviour to be totally miserable Kid-friendliness: incredibly unfriendly for anyone, most of all kids i can imagine. the staff are awful, miserable and incredibly rude.

Long established bar/restaurant in the Loop serving pretty mainstream American food. Service was excellent and professional - and the servers looked like they'd worked here a while (which is a good sign). Decent beer choice too. Food was tasty, freshly cooked and plentiful. Good value too. Can see why it's been successful for so long. Nice place to hang out in too as there are plenty of screens for sports.

After a few hours at the Art Institute of Chicago it was lovely to sink into an old style booth at Millers. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs ($23) and the hubby had their lunch special: turkey and stuffing, gravy and mashed potatoes ($16). A bit pricey for lunch but the portions were generous. To be honest - ribs were a little tough. Atmosphere is reminiscent of the old Chicago steakhouses with deep booths and lots of dark wood.

Loved this historic pub that has an almost 'speak easy' vibe to it - tons of ambience from vintage years but with food and service that up to impressive standards. The menu is solid American comfort food/pub fare, large portions, and priced well. I ordered the fish and chips, and the piece of haddock brough to me almost covered to platter. Casual, fun, relaxing, a great place to enjoy good food without being rushed or overcharged. I regret I can't recall our waiter's name, but he was friendly and accommodating but without being intrusive. Great spot!

This was recommended by a friend's son who went to college in Chicago -- it was close to our last stop of the day -- and what a great dinner we had. Delightful waiter from Colombia couldn't have been more helpful. Dinners ranged from ribs, to filet, to a meatball sandwich, to a salad and everyone was happy. Great vibe in the restaurant -- I hate to even recommend it as it seems like very much a local place. But the food was great, the service was wonderful. I would definitely go back.

We came here for a light dinner and drinks and sat by the window. Told to order at the bar, I asked for a server as we wanted food and it was kind of awkward for the bartenders. Nobody ever came. Some 12 minutes later, two stools opened at the bar, and we proceeded on with the evening. Certainly not how we wanted to start our experience here, but the food and drink was good. Our bartender, Juan R, was okay, but didn't really shine. Not certain we would come back with the amount of options in downtown Chicago, but at least we gave it a try!

You can sit by the bar and drink but most people come to eat and drink. It is popular but tables are cleared, cleaned and made ready very quickly. Service is friendly and prompt but with a business eye open on proceedings. The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. A wide range of beers and ales - local and far flung. It is noisy, and welcoming - the sort of place you want to return to. Excellent.

After a visit to the nearby Art Institute, my wife and I were looking to try something different - i.e., not one of our "regular" choices (The Gage, Berghoff, etc.) in the area and while digging around Google Maps for options, we saw that a restaurant we've walked by a thousand times - Miller's Pub - was getting some good reviews, so after looking at the menu online, we decided to give it a try and WOW, were we glad we did! We neglected to make a reservation and arrived there around 7:15pm on a Thursday night, so we were faced with a short wait until a table was available. We ended up with a table near the front window, in a quiet corner, and were quickly greeted and handed menus. Looking around the large dining/bar areas, you couldn't help but appreciate just how "classic" this place is - pictures of the family (family-run since 1935) and a lot of framed art and photos, along with several TVs that allowed us to check in on the MLB playoffs when we chose to do so). Great vibe. While we'd seen the menu online, there were several specials that night to consider, along with a nice cocktail/beer/wine list, so we took a few minutes to decide before ordering. I started with "The Miller's Martini" (well-done!) while my wife found one of her favorite Duvel beers on tap, so she went with that. Skipping appetizers (although there are quite a few), she opted for the roast leg of lamb ("this is a Greek restaurant, so you can't go wrong with lamb") with a side of spinach pie, while I opted for the blackened catfish, accompanied by rice pilaf and asparagus. After ordering, we spent a short while looking at the crowd - people of all types, shapes, ages, etc. - but all looking like they were enjoying their meals. Our food showed up not too much later, and in all cases, each item was 'best in class". The fish was butter basted and perfectly cooked and seasoned, and my wife admitted that the sliced lamb was perhaps the best she'd ever had. Portions were good, prices pretty reasonable considering the quality ($28 for the fish, $24 for the lamb) and service really top-notch. We did leave a little room for a shared dessert, so we chose the Flan Napolitano, which was served with caramel sauce and it, too, was really, really good. After the meal (on the train ride home), we both agreed that sometimes, places you've always taken for granted end up being your favorites, so we're eager to get back into the city sometime soon to try out more of what's on the menu at Miller's.

Traveling by myself this time, I stayed at the Hilton Palmer House on East Monroe in Chicago. Just steps away, I wandered over to Miller's Pub. Wow, what a fabulous meal I enjoyed! I had their Blue Cheese Bacon Burger with a Greek appetizer (Feta cheese with Greek olives). My meal was delicious and well-prepared. But above all, I want to say how pleased I was with the service of James (at the bar, where I sat) in early October, 2019. His service was phenomenal. In addition to his menu advice, he recommended a draft Belgian beer that was to die for (it's called Chimay Red, made by monks in Belgium, and shipped in kegs to the U.S.). If you go to Millers, do not miss that wonderful Belgian beer! And BTW, the meal service by James was excellent. James provided outstanding customer service and thanks to him, Miller's Pub gave me a fabulous dining experience. Thank you! Carl

I had the bbq chicken, and was very pleased, everyone enjoyed the food and the service was good, priced fairly.

Great muni, terrific atmosphere. One expects to see Al Capone at a secluded booth ( but he probably had his own dining room!) Good value and an exemplary beer list!

This Chicago classic was open late so my wife and I stopped in for cocktails and dessert after "Hamilton" at the CIBC Theater. We were directed to the bar since the restaurant was close to closing time and instructed to sit wherever we wanted. Strangely, though, virtually all of the tables in the bar were marked "reserved," which I've never seen in a bar before. A server saw our dilemma and gave us two spots at the end of a long high-top table that had just emptied. The place did fill up with the after-theater crowd, including the rest of our table, but there was plenty of room. We each enjoyed our cocktails, a Corpse Reviver for me and a Jungle Bird for my wife. The apple pie and chocolate cake were also good. Overall, a good experience, but not great. Miller's is probably a better choice during the usual lunch and dinner hours and for beer and pub fare the rest of the time. Too bad the dining room isn't open later for folks like us who like a quieter and less-crowded space.

“Best ribs around” these sh** are dryer than my grandmas hoohaw. Lovely waitress and environment but the ribs were solely a disappointment. 35$ for disappointment. Truffle burger is amazing though!

Enjoyed the half slab of ribs. Best item on menu; as good as they were 25 years ago when I worked downtown.

Loved Kevin, the bartender. Laughed like Peter Griffin! Food was A+. Price was A+. Nothing bad to say at all. Went twice in our 2 day stay. And there is a LOT do do in Chicago.

We stopped in towards the end of the lunch rush October 18, 2019, for beers & lunch. My fish & chips were pretty good, and my wife enjoyed her Reuben. The bar has lots of draft beers available. The dining room is noisy, I liked the dark wood & green trimmings. I would eat here again, but likely won't because there are so many creative offerings nearby.

The redecoration that took place over the first days of the pandemic really gave the place a facelift. It still has the vibe of Miller’s, but the dining room seems bigger and the bar more offset. Food is as it always has been — fantastic, served quickly and decent prices. This place exudes history, but the future looks bright, too. Things are coming back in the loop, and Miller’s is leading the charge. Great, professional wait staff, and (always) great food. If you’ve been here before, come back. If not, make the trip. You won’t be disappointed.

Traditional all American cuisine of very good quality. Traditional and nice. Very nice atmosphere with friends and family. Warm and cosy: food is great the American way : great meat tender, great smashed potatoes, superb real ice tea. Great service !

Ambience and atmosphere - excellent Service - wonderful, with friendly, engaged staff who were enthusiastic and passionate about the bar, its history, and its future. Service was swfit and efficient, but we were never rushed even during a Saturday lunchtime. Food - excellent. Ribs and burgers were delicious.

This is always a great go to place for drinks and food. Family owned and they are very friendly. Keep in mind that it's right next to the Palmer House which makes it convenient if you are staying there.

We had a great dinner after visiting The Art Institute Saturday night. Loved the unusual round carrots served with my entree They were extremely tasty. The staff were all attentive and friendly. What were those carrots? Thank you very much

Ribs and Greek Salad were excellent! Nice menu selection as well - service was friendly and fast. Try not to pass up dessert - chocolate cake and key lime pie were delicious!

We dined at Miller's prior to a concert at the Chicago Theater. The food (classic Greek salad, French dip sandwich, and key lime pie) was delicious. Our server and the rest of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The service was very fast, so we made it to the theater in plenty of time. The atmosphere is what I would term "classic Chicago" with dark woods and low lighting. This is a very popular place, so reservations are highly recommended.

I love pubs that have a local, community-established feeling to them, and this place is definitely one of them. It's a busy place, although they take care to follow all COVID restrictions around spacing and sanitation. Staff were really friendly, even during busy moments, although sometimes it took a moment to flag someone down to ask for something. The mushroom truffle burger and the fish & chips were super good, and the spanikopita was surprisingly good, considering that this is an alll-American pub. The people here were a mix of locals and tourists, which is a good sign that this is a well-established Chicago pub. Portions were pretty generous; the prices reflect the pub's downtown location, but that's to be expected.

A Chicago classic! Great atmosphere, great food and great service. Don’t miss Miller’s for food with history and tradition

Good food, friendly staff and a nice variety. Go hungry because these are hearty pub meals. We were looking for a lighter choice and ended up splitting a meatball sandwich and pear & gorgonzola salad. Plenty of food for two. Nice beer selection too.

We went back twice during the stay. Great food, plentiful and with fair prices compared to the Chicago average. Really great pub, good beers, fast service and very friendly. Definitely one of the places where we had the best time. Recommended!

This place is full on blast from the past with beautiful wood walls with gold frames oil painting. Intimate booths as well as tables .It was beautifully decorated for the holidays so warm and cosy. The food was delicious not fancy schmancy just good delicious food. I had the leg of lamb ,my hubby had the prime rib open sandwich and our other friends had a reuben and greek chicken salad. Proper Irish Coffee, great old fashion and other cocktails. So good in fact we went back for lunch the next day. I bet Al Capone and his boys would've hung here,it's a cool joint.

Good lively bar, food is average. Be careful after any local teams have lost. Little more rowdy crowd. Especially when the opposing team crowd comes in for drinks! When we were in a fight broke out and there appears to be no security to clear things up, so a little scary.

Hadn’t been to this restaurant since before the pandemic. Not the same as multiple visits prior to 2020. Poor service - inexperienced waiter got our order wrong. Because he forgot to put the order in, big delay in being served. Multiple menu items they ran out of. Waiter asked if we wanted rolls, then came back and said “out of rolls.” We ordered hummus - no hummus. Ordered a draft beer - out of the variety. Ordered full rack of ribs - only brought out half, with no sauce on them. Kitchen must have been out of sauce. Restaurant was not crowded during one of the largest conventions to come to Chicago, should have been a clue. Overall disappointing to get such a bad experience at an iconic pub. :(

Delicious food and excellent service. 5 of us ladies were visiting Chicago and stopped in for lunch. We had the club sandwich, greek salad, cheeseburger, fries, cheese curds. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was fantastic and even our water was never empty. We loved the atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped in before a Bears game with a buddy. Place was packed, and it was only 3 pm on a Thursday!! Had a great selection of beers. I didnt eat, but people around me were and the food looked legit. Old world charm all over the place.

Shared avacado-spinich dip and hamburger for lunch. OUTSTANDING food. Service was below expectations!

A lucky find. Stopped in after our visit to the Art Institute for a drink and snack. Collin, our waiter, took great care of us. Offered suggestions for beer options and answered our questions on some menu items. Warm, relaxed atmosphere. An obvious local favorite. Would love to have somewhere like this in my own neighborhood!

A bustling, busy restaurant located under the EL on Wabash. Efficient - slightly harried - service staff. Great selection of beers on tap. Tasty greek lemon egg soup. French fries a bit disappointing. Onion rings were tasty. Ribs were pretty good but not “worlds best”. Id like to return and try a few more Greek specialities. Solid. Recommended.

Great food. Convenient location (if you were staying at the Palmer House). What I imagine Chicago was like in the 50s. paneling. Located under the elevator drain.

Terrible service, being remarkably adults (37 and 39) asked for the passport to drink beer. We brought in OFFICIAL ID from Panama and Mexico, we didn’t look like minors, and yet an Asian waitress insisted that it was her decision to ask for ID when she doubted the age (37 and 39), the manager gave consent but the waitress never stopped bothering that it was her job that was at risk, that it was government order and every time she could she was bothering us with the issue. ZERO RECOMMENDED as food is normal, nowhere else in Chicago were we denied official IDs from our countries.

The pub offers some good dishes such as the pork BBQ ribs, one of the best dishes I have tasted. On the plate there are 12 ribs accompanied by barbecue sauce. Among the various dishes, the Mediterranean spread is good. The beers are good and the desserts are excellent. Don't miss the 3 chocolate cake and the Apple pie. Really fast and friendly service. The pab has a particular structure inside

I happened upon this place one afternoon after a fantastic morning of Chicago exploration. I had been killing time while waiting for my husband to finish up at a local convention and this was the perfect cap to my adventurous day. I sat at the bar, ordered a pint and a French dip, after much pondering, for which the bartender had little patience. I would expect nothing less at a Chicago pub. The bar felt warm and familiar and I quickly got on with some other patrons, who happened to be in town for the convention, as well. My husband later joined me and aptly agreed that it was a great spot for a beer and a snack.

A friend recommended Miller's to us and we're so glad he did! The ambiance of this pub is great and the staff was perfect dressed in their white shirts and vests. The bartender suggested an Old Fashioned for me and it was by far the best I've ever had! Our patty melt that we shared was equally wonderful. We would highly recommend Millers and would definitely go back!

Just a quick review of a great bite to eat I had while on a trip to Chicago over MLK weekend. After visiting the Cloud Gate, we were hungry before going to the airport and Yelp suggested Miller’s Pub a short walk away. The place was classic Chicago with a throwback feel that made it seem like the fellas from SNL would be in the back talking about “Da Bears”. Service was great and on point with bussing and drink refills. While our waIter Matt, could have tried to up-sell me to a steak sandwich he suggested the Truffle Burger and it did not disappoint! Cooked to order perfectly with a soft and sweet brioches bun, the burger Was not greasy at all with fries and all the burger staples. In addition, we ordered the cheese curds, onion rings, and because people praised the ribs, we got a sampler of bbq ribs. Tender and moist the meat had a great taste and the rib sauce was sweet and tangy adding a great compliment to the taste rather than overpower it. At the end of the day, we dipped in quick, hoping just to grab something not from a chain but hoping for something good if not great. We landed on outstanding and with more time to really look around, this good easily be 5 stars!

Excellent treatment and very good food. But especially the place is great, very well kept and full of photos of celebrities and sportsmen. Recommended 100%

This was down the street from our hotel. We’ve read a lot of good reviews and was able to walk right in and get a table. Everything was great. We had the chicken pot pie, fish and chips, fish sandwich and mushroom Swiss burger. Everything was cooked perfectly. We wanted to return again but we didn’t have time.

My daughter and I had sandwiches for lunch. Service was quick and attentive. They were busy but had a large staff. Would gladly visit again.

Whenever we stay in the loop/south loop, we always stop at Miller’s for a drink or a meal. They took reservations for lunch or dinner, so we decided to go there for lunch. Although they weren’t busy when we arrived, the hostess had us stand to the side. She then proceeded to seat any men who came in (after us), before making her way back to us (two women). Our server greeted us right away and got our drink orders. We looked over the menu and asked the server a quick question, then ordered. The server recommended the grilled corned beef Reuben (you can choose either corned beef or pastrami in the Rueben). My friend ordered the corned beef Reuben and I ordered a regular pastrami sandwich. They came with a choice of sides. She chose the side salad and coleslaw. I chose fries and slaw. The food came out fairly quickly. The Rueben was a bit greasy (because it was grilled) - otherwise, it was quite good. The side salad was drenched in dressing (she ended up draining it part way thru because the bottom half of the salad was swimming in dressing). My sandwich was ok - not grilled (which was fine), but it was dry. The meat looked like it had been sitting around. The fries were tasty and hot. The coleslaw was really, really good. So, it was fine, but not the best. Honestly, the hostess was more annoying than any quibble about the food. But, I’ll never try the pastrami again (and it is “house-smoked”), and any salad will have the dressing “on the side.”

Food was delicious and very well prepared. My husband and I came in after an extensive look for a good place to eat near Hotel Blake. Millers Pub has been open since 1934 I believe. The waitress advised us they were out of leg of lamb and gave us plenty of time to study the menu and answer our questions. I am trying to eat very little fried food and ordered a cup of asparagus soup (because it is cold to me up here) and the salmon special. My husband ordered the Greek Chicken. Both entrees were cooked to perfection. However the broccoli was the best I have ever had in a restaurant! Warm, tender yet crisp and a b dutiful green. My husband also had a fresh cold salad and raved about the Greek sauce he sopped it up with the rice pilaf which he also raved about. Sorry Chicago is so far from where we live but we will get back! Reasonably priced too!

We had a family gathering this evening at Miller's Pub. My first visit and I was pleased with the selection of foods at this restaurant. I had the liver, bacon and onion dinner. Totally impressed with the meal. The liver was done nicely with the meat fully cooked but not overly cooked. The dinner plate was covered with liver, lots of bacon and onions. The light meat gravy surrounding the meal provided the necessary fluids to make the liver very tasty. Included with the meal, was a healthy portion of mashed potatoes and cooked carrots. This meal and a nice german beer filled me completely with no room for dessert. My wife had the french dip sandwich. She enjoyed the flavorful bread surrounding the meat. Both meals were priced fairly. It was a busy restaurant, and very loud to hear from the far ends of a table of 10. Everyone was pleased with their selection of meals. My brother-in-law had the leg of lamb dinner. I would recommend this place for anyone visiting Chicago

It was the coldest night of the year so far in Chicago and the place was PACKED. Got two seats at the bar after a few minutes of waiting. The sign outside highlighted the Tom and Jerry. I had to get it! After getting past the frothy top it was a great surprise! The "glopping" of the mixture into the cup is pretty unappetizing, but I had two just to make sure. It was hot and creamy! I recommend trying one!

Our company gave the engineers I work with a thank you lunch from Millers Pub. We brought in 25 of their Prime Rib Sandwiches, Steak fries and fresh salads. I was impressed with the presentation of the take out, the service, the confidence the owner had when presenting, the quality of the layout and BEST OF ALL the food to eat! Delicious, tender, done brilliantly steak, perfect bun, fresh and plentiful salad! Ask them about business parties, lunches, ect...You won't regret it...

One of the few things coming from Covid was allowing the to redecorate and open up the space. A well established place right under the loop stop. Very accommodating to my request for a plain salad and a dressing not on the menu. Ribs are what I come for but a very wide menu. Bus staff keeps your drink full which is always a big plus

Brilliant! Must go here. Great food, brilliant atmosphere and staff were friendly helpful and not too intrusive. Lots of veggie options too and a huge selection of beer!

Great old woodwork, beautiful paintings in great frames. We loved the chicken wings both the bbq and buffalo style, the chicken pot pie is wonderful comfort food and burgers are great, it has great beer, wine and whiskey selection

Waitress was very nice, service was speedy and food was fantastic. Great location. We ordered the wisconsin cheese curds, the truffle burger, and the spicy chicken sandwich. The food was superb and fairly priced for the amount and quality of food you receive. Would be a great option for dinner (mood lighting, full bar, atmosphere) but was a lovely place to stop for lunch too. Very impressed, would highly recommend and will be back.

Very average food ordered my burger sat back to enjoy my drink and could not believe how quick the food came out I had to check I hadn’t walk into McDonalds by mistake now I wish had gone to McDonalds

Food good and good atmosphere. Our evening was spoilt by the waiter, who kept trying to snatch food from our table whilst we were still eating. On 3 occasions, a waiter sneaked up behind me and tried to snatch away my side salad without the courtesy of even asking whether I had finished my salad. On the 3rd occasion that he sneaked up and his arm appeared from behind mee to snatch my side salad, I gently placed my arm on his in an attempt to stop my salad from being removed without my permission. At this point, our waiter went into a complete sulk, was quite unpleasant, and deliberately avoided us. The effect of his rather childish behaviour soured what had previously been a very enjoyable experience

Why spoil a decent meal (for one on this occasion) with a couple of tokenTV screens? Fortunately the burger was good. The beer cold and refreshing. Thanks for just getting over the line on your food.

We arrived in this place intrigued by the sign so characteristic. We discovered a great pub/restaurant in downtown Chicago! Great beer, delicious food and excellent staff! We went four times in a week. Consigliatissimo!!!!

The food was excellent and the atmosphere very classic and cozy. The greek-style lamb chops were perfectly cooked and delicious as was the steak. Definitely book ahead if going at a peak time. My only negative comment is that they should add some inventive mocktails to the drinks list. Has a great list of beers and cocktails but would be great to have something besides soda for non drinking adults too.

We went to Miller’s for lunch prior to a visit to the Art Institute, thinking we could walk there afterwards (we could-it was very close). My son and I laughed because the guy at the bell stand at our hotel said “good place” when we told him where we were going, and the taxi driver said the same thing! That’s always encouraging. The pub has been around since 1935 on the same block, I believe, which means they’re doing something right. We went early on a Sunday, 11:00 am, and were greeted warmly. The atmosphere is dark wood with paintings of all kinds, as well as a few flat screen TVs scattered about. We both had the prime rib sandwich, which was good. Service was fast. There was always someone filling your water glass and bussing away dirty plates. I’d definitely have this place on my list again for my next trip to Chicago because the menu was extensive and I loved the cozy atmosphere.

We ended up at this venue because we spent the day at the Art Institute and it is an easy walk from there. We couldn't have been more pleased. The place is charming, old world charm that is. Our wait staff was just attentive enough, many draft craft beer choices and nice foods to go with it,plus the ball game was on the screen, what more can you ask for.

I never expected to find such a wonderful venue and meal under the L-Train tracks in Chicago. Great atmosphere, service and food. The selections on the menu were varied and all the family had good choices. The breaded pork and red cabbage were superb. The Rueben was lean and had outstanding flavor as I added the horseradish that finished the sandwich in its entirety. We had gone downtown to the Symphony Orchestra to see the Wizard of Oz and this was a two minute walk from the Theater. Truly had a nice upscale feeling for a location with such reasonable prices. The family of 4 ate for a little under $75. The whole dining area was decorated for Christmas and I am looking forward to going back. Hope you have the same great experience!

Made reservations for 6. Good thing we did because they were very busy. Great food, bar and very friendly staff. Worth going back.

Sat at the bar and it was a very friendly place. The sandwiches looked great but I ordered the ribs because they are "famous". They were just ok, a little overcooked. Also got the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were a little overcooked as well. They were a little chewy. Great bar with a lot of different whiskeys. The pub is in a great location, close to the Palmer House where I stayed on this trip.

Very cool atmosphere, Blues music in the background l, old school feel. Could be in any old movie with a chain smoking reporter and a cop having drinks! Very good and eclectic beer selection. Not cheap, but not insane by big city standards. Open on Sundays, not common in the Loop.

The service was friendly and efficient. The prices are reasonable. The food was decent. Sll 4 of us ordered something different and thought it was average to a little above. I liked the spanakopita but the rice was disappointing. My husband said the burger and fries were good. Our friend liked the meatloaf but our other friend thought the grilled chicken was merely ok. Maybe it depends on what you order. The noise level is high but we were able to converse.

My husband and I have been to Miller's Pub on several other visits to Chicago. We were there Saturday December 17 and had a great lunch. Jessica L was our server and did a great job. Even though the place was very busy, service was quick and efficient. Lots of families there--it's a great place for a get together.

Ordered Reuben and beers. Solid Reuben and a great beer list. Place was packed with local diners and they clearly knew what they were doing.

Went here to catch up with dear friends we had not seen in 6 years. It was impossible to talk and be heard. We waited a long time for our order to be taken and delivered. We had the whitefish dinner, salmon dinner, pasta orecchiette, Caesar salad, apple pie, key lime pie, and rice pudding. All the food was rather plain and average tasting. We all left with pounding headaches from the entire ordeal. Next time we’ll go elsewhere.

Vicky was our server today, she was very nice. Offered helpful tips about Chicago. Burgers were fantastic!

Almost a year ago we had an extremely positive experience at Miller's Pub with another couple. The experience was replicated and even better. We had plans to go to the CSO for a 7:30 pm show and knew we needed to have plenty of time to eat. Miller's did not disappoint; we did have group of seven so seating was a bit tricky. The menu is varied, ranging from typical pub food to Chicken pot pie (sells out quickly) and even Spanokipita! Prices are modest for downtown Chicago (no wonder MIller's is sooooo popular.). We were seated at a "high top" (no problem); Lana was amazing and her cleanup crew kept the table open for our complimentary (and delicious) rolls, nice sized portions of grub and adult beverages. Our total bill for seven meals was $128 including tax ( I do not know what my husband put on for the gratuity but it was well earned) One other member of the group picked up the tab for the adult beverages. We were done and on our way to the CSO by 6:45 so we had plenty of time to enjoy the walk...all good by my standards!

Ate here on a recent holiday weekend and could get in quicky early in the evening. Food ok not great, but staff was very friendly and helpful in tweaking my order so I could get things the way I wanted. Even with some reduction in tables (still socially distanced spacing) it was noisy. Maybe it would have been better in a booth but we were seated center floor.

The concierge at the Hampton Inn Majestic was pushing this place so much, I would question whether he had shares in the place, if it weren’t a family owned establishment More restaurant with a bar than a pub that serves food…but then again, I’m from the UK and we know pubs This place is the same age as my dad - 88yrs and both still going strong It just gone 6:30pm on a Sunday and the place was packed However, being a solo, I was seated extremely quickly Speaking of quick - kudos to my server - Matt W - he was on point the whole time I was there Quick to take my order, drink and sides were there before I even had time to blink Decor is like what you see in American movies / booty style seating Atmosphere was lively with plenty of screens to watch whatever sports may be on I had the ribs and fried shrimps The coleslaw was epic, loved it The fried shrimps were decent too Now….the ribs were exceedingly meaty and well smoked….but they don’t have the melt off the bone quality that I seek A great place and I’d happily join the concierge in promoting this place

Excellent patty melts and good service. Portions were good sized. slaw , pickles, and fries came with the sandwich. Free refills on non-alcoholic drinks.

Went into the pub without much expectation as hadn’t done any research. But was seated well, drinks came easily and the bar chat was fun.

Dinner for 2 following a beer at lunch time. Prime rib was available but in limited quantities. Manager promised to keep some for us. Promise was good. Food was excellent, staff quick and friendly both at lunchtime and dinner. Located next to the Palmer House Hilton.

The best Filet Mignon I've ever tasted ( inhaled is more like it) was so good I'd fly back to Chicago for a repeat. Matt was an excellent server, and the ribs were great. A meal to remember in a casual atmosphere, We loved it

What is the point of having a big neon sign saying you’re open until 2 AM and locking the door at 1:30 and not letting us in when we arrived from the west coast famished?

My wife and I don't go out very often but we needed a weekend away from the kids and Miller's Pub was within walking distance to our hotel. I'm so glad I found this place. The initial wait was a little long (as expected for a Saturday night during the holiday season). Once we sat down, our server, Jeff, was funny, engaging, and attentative. Not gonna lie, he was half of our great experience here. We ordered fish & chips and the prime rib dip. Both were fabulous. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy place with great food.

My wife and I were staying at the Palmer House and a friend had recommended Miller’s. We stopped by twice. First was late evening for a couple of drinks. The bar was crowded and we ended up sitting with a group in town for a Bears game. The service was great and we had an enjoyable time. The second time we stopped in for lunch. We both got burgers and the food and service were really good.

Great bar with a fabulous atmosphere. Food is tasty, portions are huge!!! Good value for money, attentive staff overall a great experience and worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood

They wouldn't take a reservation, but we told them we were bring a fairly large group (about 15) for drinks and appetizers. When we arrived, they seemed very put out. The place was less than half-full, so you'd think they'd be pleased with a group, but the manager acted as though they didn't want us. They did get some tables together for us, and I will say that the server was good - very attentive. And the appetizers were decent, though nothing special.

I just ate here twice because my hotel was a block away. This place is very popular. The bar is excellent--they consistently make a really good old fashioned. But the food was just ok. I heard diners raving about the prime rib, which I did not get, and I suspect the ribs are very good. One night I ordered fish and chips, which were good. The second night I ordered a Greek salad with chicken, which was reminded of the type of mediocre salad you might get at a fast-food restaurant, though at half the price. Go for the bar, the atmosphere, and the dishes that they do best. But this is not a great restaurant, and I would not venture far with their menu.

I ordered chicken wings, because a friend recommended it. It was an excellent choice, they were delicious. Also their variety in beer is great!

Was this the best burger I’ve ever had in my life? No. But I’ve been working in Chicago the past several weeks, and Miller’s Pub was the first time I FELT the city of Chicago. The pub has been around since 1935. It’s dimly lit and outfitted in dark wood, green, and red. I loved how they played yacht rock and 80s classics. It’s the first time this New York girl didn’t feel badly about the Midwest feel of the Windy City. The vibe is laid back. It’s a little busy, but I only had to wait about 10 minutes around 4:30 PM. Quickly: my burger was fine. Not dry, but under-seasoned. Shoestring fries were standard. I had the daiquiri, which informed me I have been confused about what a daiquiri is my whole life (it’s not the red and blue frozen things you see flaunted around). I found it tart and refreshing. I also had the Haitian Divorce, which was smoky and deep (don’t ask me how a drink can be deep because I can’t answer). The menu boasts steaks, ribs, sausage/peppers/onions, some Greek appetizers. They also have seafood—salmon, whitefish, catfish. They have multiple types of sandwiches (BLT, French dip, corned beef pastrami, club, meatball, and more). Specialties include chicken pot pie, liver with bacon & onions, fish and chips, and spanakopita dinner. While I really wanted a burger this day, I now wonder if the pot pie or fish n chips would have been the way to go. Service was helpful. While I had one server, many others helped me out—refilling my water, budding my table, etc. I never felt rushed or neglected. Located on Wabash Avenue, there is plenty of nearby paid parking. Lots of shopping nearby.

This was our first dinner in the city and there was no wait and no need for reservations. I was immediately worried that the quality would reflect this but I was wrong. The food was every bit as good as the decor and history. I had the meatloaf and my wife had a salmon dish. Both were excellent. The cocktails were spot on. The service was prompt and friendly. The June weather should be bringing a tide of vacationers and they weren't here in the numbers you would expect. No restaurant on our entire trip was crowded, Only one place was more than half occupied. Message to the locals: Patronize these historic places or they won't be here for long. The politicians that run your city have ruined your brand. People are afraid to travel here so survival depends on you.

Greeted by friendly female staff when entered. Just wanted drinks, place was quite empty so sat at a table. Was asked by polite young lady as we were just having u drinks could you please order to at the bar when you are ready. As I approached the bar and proceeded to advise the bartender my order, he abruptly and arrogantly said I will get the waitress,I replied the waitress said I need to order at the bar is there an issue? Who is right? He replied I’ve been here 30 years I know what I’m talking about. After this rude man made me and my wife feel uncomfortable we no longer wanted a drink at this place and left, my wife complained about the bartender as we left to the front staff. Have read previous reviews stating tourists not very welcomed and I can confirm this is certainly the case, clear issue with me being English, I felt victimised by this rude bartender today 29/9/24 at 11am, overheard him saying he was an ex police officer. I have only over described this guy to hopefully have his poor attitude and conduct addressed to improve the establishments customer.

This restaurant has a lot of character. The food was fantastic and the staff were great. It was very busy on a Sunday and we were glad we made reservations.

Found the beers amazing but the food too normal. We tried a variety of sandwiches and burgers being a group, and none of them were really "To come back for"! Good service!!

The ABSOLUTE WORST BAR I WAS EVER IN!!! Two nights unfortunately. Bartenders are awful unprofessional and rude. Standing at the bar for 20 minutes and being waved away by two of them... Be right there... Way overpriced. $8 for some beer called Old Style in the smallest can I ever saw. If we weren't staying near I would never go there. Awful on both nights

Great relaxed atmosphere - decent as a pub; really good as a restaurant. We had the ribs and chicken - really good - service excellent.

We stopped here for a bite before a Second City show across the street. It was Saturday afternoon, no big game on or anything. The Miller name is a big one in our family, and all the Michigan State stuff on the walls was fun since that's a family school too. But the noise level was so loud it was painful. There were a bunch of young women at the bar drunk and screaming at the top of their lungs every minute or so for no apparent reason. The food was awful too—big portions but greasy. We left as soon as possible before our ear drums burst. Even paid cash on the table when the check came so we wouldn't have to stay a minute longer to have a credit card run. Hung out at the Starbucks down the street till our show, and that coffee shop was like being in a library exam week after Miller's.

We walked over from friends condo on Michigan Avenue and met another friend from N.Wabash. It was crowded but our friend had played for the Chicago Bears and was recognized. We were seated quickly and ordered hamburgers..The waitress emphasized the quality,of the beef. She was right and at medium it was delicious and not tough. Sitting under a ChicagoBears sign with a formal player made it even better as sports guys who sat briefly with us while waiting for a table made great conversation..It was noisy , but no one cared! A great City place to meet, greet and eat!

We arrived late on a Friday for a weekend-long conference at the Palmer House. Even at 9:45 pm, there was a 30 minute wait. We sat at the bar for a drink while we waited, and it was worth it. I ordered the Greek burger after reading the history on the menu how the owners were of Greek descent. It was different than any I've had before and I really enjoyed it! My fiance ordered the steak sandwich and liked that a lot as well. For drinks, we ordered the Tom & Jerry (excellent and iconic) and the Manhattan (strong and delicious). The atmosphere was old-school and the service was excellent. We will come back when we attend next year's conference.

My wife and I ordered the ribs on a early Saturday evening. They were so tough we both checked to see if we were using the right side of the knife. Brought the issue to the attention of the server and we both tried different dishes. I had the open face prime rib which was good but not great. My wife had the meatloaf, again average but not great. The server took ownership of the issue.

Miller’s Pub is a great place anytime! Thank goodness they’ve weathered the pandemic! Had brunch at the bar on Sunday! My husband had the Pulled Pork Benedict. It was loaded with tender juicy pulled pork, delicious Sauce and perfect poached eggs. Uniquely it was served on fresh cornbread! I had a giant egg sandwich on a croissant. The sandwich was loaded with sweet, tender shaved ham, scrambled eggs and cheese and served on a large croissant. We washed our breakfast down with excellent super sized Bloody Marys which were loaded with goodies, almost a meal In themselves! We’ve been going to Miller’s regularly since we moved to the loop over 20 years ago. The food is always good. The service is fast and friendly. If you’re lucky enough to get a seat at the bar you can chat w Miller’s excellent and highly experienced bartenders. We have many favorite restaurants in our neighborhood but you can never go wrong with a meal at Miller’s Pub!

Service is great at this Chicago classic. We ate in the late afternoon and had sandwiches. We enjoyed the food and midwest dark atmosphere . We will go back for sure.

Went for a dinner before the business week started with some remote colleagues. I ordered the fish and chips. This is haddock which is really great. The group got wings which everyone enjoyed.

Nice place with its own history and good food! Kinda hidden under the LTrain tracks, but not hard to find. Surprised that it it did not appear in our Fodor’s guide

good ales at the bar and excellent burgers; Fanny looked after us really well; good value and friendly service

Miller's Pub has played host to celebrities since it opened in 1935, from Lou Gehrig and Joe Louis to Frank Sinatra and Bill Veeck. Located at 134 South Wabash Avenue, between Monroe and Adams, in Chicago's Loop, it is everything you might expect of an old-fashioned pub...friendly bartenders and waiters, delicious bar food, great conversation, a mix of shoppers, politicians, businessmen, locals and tourists, lots of celebrity photographs, cozy surroundings with dark wood, stained glass, memorabilia, antique oil paintings and the long wooden bar running along the north wall. The multi-level, 270-seat restaurant/bar has been operated by the Gallios brothers since 1950. Only Vannie survives. Cousins Aris and Andy have carried on the Miller's tradition. They brag about their world-famous BBQ Canadian baby back ribs, the pub's signature item, but my wife and I came to evaluate the chicken pot pie, which one Chicago food critic rated among the top 10 in the city. Open from 11:30 to midnight Wednesday through Sunday, Miller's Pub features a menu designed to please every palate. And if you aren't sure, you can "Build your own Burger." We arrived for the lunch crowd and started with shrimp cocktail and a BBQ platter for two. For a main course, my wife chose fish and chips with fresh caught cod and tartar sauce. Of course, I had to sample the chicken pot pie with carrots, potatoes, peas and celery in a puff pastry. So why doesn't it rate a mention on the marquee with the ribs? For dessert, we shared slices of key lime pie and apple pie. Other popular dishes are broiled Atlantic cod with black truffle butter, cole slaw and mashed potatoes, eight-ounce filet with sauteed mushrooms, cole slaw and mashed potatoes, Patty Melt with Swiss cheese and caramelized onions on grilled rye bread with fries, pickle and cole slaw and Reuben Burger with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing on rye bread.

Great place to end your day. The atmosphere has some energy. The food was delicious and the beer is cold! What more could you ask for. Highly recommend this place for a great meal.

Looked online for Prime rib and liked the reviews for Miller's Pub. Perhaps got our table a tad too late at 7pm for Prime Rib, but Brian was able to get us the last slice which meant we stayed. It was great , so was the selection of beer, fried cheese curds, spanikopita and cocktails. Excellent service. Thank you

Dined twice Sunday night and Tuesday evening. Food was good value and flavoursome. Two different waitresses served me. Sunday night the waitress had the right of attentiveness whereas Tuesday over attentive. Which really can happen anywhere. What I didn’t like was the the constant prowling of the staff who clear the tables. They continually passed by your table looking at you eating to see if you were finished. On the Tuesday night there were two parties of two. They both had to stop them from taking plates as they weren’t finished.

This is a Chicago institution! I personally have been visiting this pub for at least 25 years. They used to have ox-tail soup on their menu, but sadly they do not serve it anymore. We haven't stopped by for lunch in more than a decade, although we try to stop in for a drink every time we're in the area. This year we were with family and stopped for lunch and drinks. Hubs and I split the fish and chips with his sister (it was actually enough for the three of us for a light meal-perfect to split between two people), and our niece and nephew split the meatball sandwich. If you are there during the winter months, they are famous for their Tom & Jerrys--excellent hot egg nog drink as a break from Christmas shopping! I had one of those, as did our nephew. It was stronger than I expected, but delicious, and a perfect warm-up on a blustery day. The fish and chips were very good--not greasy, but nothing extraordinary either. I'd give them a solid B! Our niece wanted to go somewhere for drinks that had an "authentic" Chicago feel. This bar does the trick-it was all decked out in holiday style, and the old wood and antique artwork completed that old Chicago vibe our niece was craving. It's a beautiful bar with good food, a great ambiance, and friendly waitstaff. It is most definitely worth dropping into for at least a nightcap after a show in the theatre district, and it is right next door to The Palmer House Hotel.

A great buzzing, busy bar. We sat at the bar and had some craft beers, local beers and a perfectly mixed Martini. Came back another day but unable to find a seat !

We had a great lunch, I had a Cobb salad and my friend had a Rueben sandwich. Nice selection of draft beers. Very attentive wait staff.

Family members and I had lunch at Miller's Pub and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was plentiful and very good. They have a nice drink selection and some good IPAs. I did find the prices a bit high, but they are probably consistent with that area of Chicago. The place has a great atmosphere and our service was excellent.

Food was good, definitely good portion. Went in on a Friday and not as crowded but still need reservations. Crowd tends to be over the older side. Server was nice. Over all a good place to eat. Nothing special.

Dined here later in the evening after attending an event in the city. Friendly restaurant, bistro style with a selection of burgers, salads, steaks, pasta etc. Unfortunately, many dish options were unavailable, no doubt due to our late sitting. Had a lovely pear, gorganzola and walnut salad, reminiscing our time in Florence where we first had it. A generous portion that went down very well. TV dotted throughout showing US sport events. Busy place, friendly and courteous staff. Would recommend for a casual affair.

What a classic place to go in Chicago. Walking around Chicago on vacation and saw the sign for Miller’s pub and went in. It was brunch time on Sunday so we ordered mimosas. They give you fresh juice and a small bottle of champagne. Very nice. While at the bar they were preparing the Fixin’s for the bloody Mary’s.It was awesome. This place is awesome to visit for drinks or very good food and the atmosphere is great.

Found a new favorite bar in Chicago. My husband and I came here for a drink after dinner on a Sunday night realizing nothing else was open. It ended up being a pleasant surprise walking in here. Kevin was our bartender and we had a great conversation. He was super friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come back here every time we visit Chicago!

Recently visited Chicago and made first visit to Millers Pub since the early 70's when I left Chicago. Ordered takeout French Dips for my wife and me and they were delicious. Nice and moist and juicy and the au jus was flavorful but too salty, unlike most places. The decor looks like it hadn't changed since I left town.

We stopped in for a quick bite before the theater. It was decorated so nice for the holiday. By the time we got seated we did not have as much time as we had hoped for. Our server was wonderful and got our order in right away and we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal. We had a few appetizers and sandwiches that were all very good. I would diffently go back when I had more time and with reservations. There many things on the menu I would like to try.

We have visited this place many times, and have never been disappointed. Their cocktails are beautifully balanced, and their ribs are stupendous! For a quality, 'old school' dining experience, this is the place!

Myself and my Son are spending a week in Chicago. We’ve been to lots of cities in America & Canada. We keep coming back because we love it here. We’ve eaten in Miller’s Bar & Restaurant and it’s a great place to eat with a great atmosphere so I decided I’d go back there for a beer or 2 last night. I waited for near 10 mins to get served, I asked a younger guy for a beer- he pointed in the direction of an older guy (late 60’s age I’d say), maybe this was his area of the bar he serves from I thought!! Eventually he got my attention, I asked for a beer and to my surprise he barked back at me saying “you’ve interrupted me doing my job” , I got such a shock so I asked him to repeat in case I misunderstood him and he said the same again. I explained to him that I asked his colleague for a beer and his colleague gestured to ask ‘you’. He didn’t seem pleased when I asked him “who am I supposed to order from”? He seemed to be counting up a lot of receipts (maybe tips) before he acknowledged me. This is a great bar and restaurant however avoid ordering drinks from the older out of touch guy with the long, wiry, Cruella Deville hair/wig- he had a choice to be nice or nasty to me and he chose nasty- and for what reason?? Thank you, Peadar McGranaghan, Ireland

We were there for dinner more than once. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Very crowded on Friday and very quiet on Sunday. The apple pie is excellent

Great for before and after theater or concerts. Not gourmet but very good food. Open very late most nights so getting a drink or bite after a late show is no problem. Greatly enjoyed the Holiday traditional Tom and Jerry drink. A Chicago institution newly remodeled.

We went here for our last meal in the city before we flew out. Was seated right away, the service was great, food came quick and was nice.. Very nice place

Matt was a great waiter! The service is super quick. Got the chicken sandwich which was fresh and as ordered. They play good music and it's a good atmosphere. The decorations are well done.

Great atmosphere good food and service and compared to nearby restaurants reasonably priced. Busy with locals on a Sunday evening, I would recommend reservations.

Never disappoints. Hearty servings and quality food. I had the grilled Ruben and cup of barley soup. Hubby had liver and onions (don't be a hater:) and the plate was clean.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our tour guide. The prime rib beef dip and Wisconsin cheese curds were excellent and very delicious. The service was speedy and friendly. Highly recommend this place for lunch.

Very cool lunch spot. Dinner too! Menu is very diverse. Calamari app was excellent! Sandwiches and salads a home run!! Drink menu is great as well.

Food was Ok. We had calamari which was really good. Burgers were just average. Friends had the salmon burger and thought it was really good. Ambiance is nice, dark but good for dinner

We didn't know anything about Miller's but we had just left the Art Institute and were starving. Miller's was the closest place that didn't appear to be a chain of some sort. The staff bent over backwards to be friendly. Service was fast. And there was a ton of food for the modest price. We left rested, refreshed, and ready for the rest of our vacation.
I highly recommend it
Very good option to eat. The clam chowder was delicious and at the correct temperature. The BBQ Ribs were also very well prepared and plentiful. The service was excellent. Eduardo treated us very well and so did the other employees. I recommend this place that is a classic without pretensions but you will surely find delicious food and pleasant service
