Very good meal

By Nichole F |

We really loved our dinner at this restaurant. Something for everyone in our group, including 4 kids. We sat in a booth near the open windows and our non-sporty kids got some sports entertainment viewing in on the various screens (as well as some excitement from the Padres v Dodgers match up). The service was really good and attentive and the food was excellent.

Brunch is amazing... dinner not so much

By Heather w |

We went for brunch the one day of vacation, having a breakfast bowl that was flavorful, a great sized serving, and both hubby and I were amazed at the selections and not your normal breakfasts! The service was fabulous, and would definitely go back again and again!!! Brunch definitely rated 5 stars!!! Now for dinner,,.. This would have gotten a 2 at best. Food was ok- service was horrible!!! We asked about happy hour when we finally saw a waiter- we were told it ended in one minute- and he didn't offer to take an order. When we finally saw him again, it had been easily 20 min. The drinks were weak with little flavor, food came out cold, and by the time the waitress came back we just wanted our bill!! If they had more waiters or waitresses on- they would make sooooooo much more money!! Would not recommend for dinner.

One of our favorites

By gmoulton530 |

I own an adventure tour company here in SD and Miss B’s has always been one of my favorites to take our guests and friends. Great food, drinks, friendly staff. Also, conveniently right by the beach!

Disappointing

By Paula S |

We went to Miss B’s Coconut Club for dinner when we were on vacation. The food was average. My husband and I ordered the fish taco plate. It was just so-so. Our drinks were good and the fries our grandson had were the best thing on the menu. I doubt we will be returning.

My favorite place to eat and have drinks in San Diego

By Trip213639 |

Everything was amazing! The drinks, food, service and vibe!! Definitely will be back on my next visit! I would highly recommend it!

No service on our visit- none!

By Celeste T |

Excited to try this new place our party of three arrived for lunch on a Wednesday. We had heard the service was terrible but we wanted to try it. Sat down and waited. No menu No water No acknowledgement After 15 mins we got up and left. When we walked outside there sat the waitresses chatting. So we went next door to Guava Beach - immediate service and excellent food. Loved Guava Beach!

Unique menu

By Betz G |

Went there last weekend, it was a nice change from the everyday, hum drum menu. Great atmosphere, great service and great food!

Sassy, Sultry and Lip Smackin' Good Food!

By SobremesaStudios |

It's new, it's small, and we didn't know what to expect. Well we were bowled over! The decor is open and attractive with a busy patio and tropical ambience indoors. You gaze in wonder at copper swans whizzing by you as they land at tables eagerly awaiting the tropical liquor concoction meant for multiple sippers. We had ceviche that was extraordinary and had coconut milk as a secret ingredient. The french fries were hot and tasty and drinks were adorned with orchids. Ice is used in innovative ways especially in the cocktails which somehat resembled slushies. My dish of choice: EL CUBANO Lechon Asado, smoked ham, gruyere, bread & butter pickles, spiced mustard, cilantro garlic aioli, on a Cuban roll Just to die for! Newly opened they are still tinkering the menu but what a treat! This part of Mission Beach is indeed fortunate to have Miss B's Coconut Club as its new neighbor!!

Great local beach place with food that exceeds expectations

By bostontodd74 |

Early dinner New Year's Eve with 10 adults and 4 kids. Wonderful staff!! So nice to the kids you would swear you are in a day care. Wife had spicy shrimp special which wax fantastic. I had the sirloin and shrimp special which was a steal for $22. If you like rum, this is the place, as they have many that can be sipped near and are fabulous. Only downside was Jake soup, which was good quality, but didn't click with us. Great food, great vibe, and fantastic, friendly staff! Recommend strongly!

Typical beach fare

By travelagentreplies |

Had drinks that were strong and chicken wraps with plantain chips. All just ok. Pretty typical beach fare and atmosphere. Very nicer server. Prices same as everywhere here. More than they should be.

Fun … great drinks and food

By tgandco2 |

We went for dinner and loved it. Place is funky and quirky with great music and a fun vibe. The food was delicious. Plantain and shrimp and the cubano sandwich were perfect. $7 daiquiri and a great hazy draft beer made it a fun dinner

Good Food Fun Place

By cc12807 |

Lunch at Miss B's Coconut Club in Mission Beach, CA, was both delicious and fun. We hadLechon Asado Fries $13 and the Coconut Club Burger $14. Both were enough to share, if you are a more light eater. Service was courteous and attentive during the entire time we were there. It is a fun environment with most sitting outside rather than in the restaurant. It is on a busy corner of Santa Clara and Mission Beach Blvd, but no one seemed to mind the business around them. It was such a good experience all around.

Nice stop after the beach!

By Rob M |

We stopped by Miss B's yesterday afternoon after spending a few hours on Mission Beach. It took a while to get service, but when our server came, she was great. We ordered a beer and a root beer to start, then ordered a flatbread pizza and their plantain coconut shrimp from their appetizer menu. The pizza of the day came with pulled pork, bacon, barbecue sauce and topped with cheese, and was very tasty. The beer battered shrimp was very crispy, and came with sweet chili pineapple mojito sauce. Both meals were very good, as we shared them between us. Great meal! I would not hesitate to stop here again!

Holiday Dinner

By Roman S |

We've been here with my family for dinner and it was great! Perfect service, excellent food. Pleasant holiday atmosphere.

Grand Cuban restaurant

By DancersDaddy |

We had a blast at Miss B's. The food was excellent. Jerk shrimp and jerk chicken. Delicious Cuban sandwiches. A big hit. The outdoor seating was comfortable and the service was awesome.

Back Again...

By TripGal63 |

Tried this restaurant for the first time in June 2016 and had to come back for their breakfast - the breakfast sandwich is by far the best around - just love this place...

Delicious!!

By riceburnergrace |

My husband and I came here after a day of paddle boarding. The food was amazing. It's not your standard fare - very different offerings. They are a little heavy on the mixed drink menu and a little lighter on the beer menu than I like but they have enough. Food though - amazing!!!

What fun place

By Kelly C |

This was our second year coming here and even during Covid the place is awesome .Parking can be challenging but as good as the drinks are an Ubur might be in order .The Cuban sandwich is amazing and this is just a fun place to be .If your around sea world give the place a chance you won't be sorry .We can't wait to go back next trip and by all means hit up the tiki supply shop just a few steps north

Just a block off the boardwalk sits a unique little shop. Miss B's.

By Jeff2457 |

What a great place to stop for lunch or a drink while wondering Mission Boardwalk or Mission Bay Blvd. Great service, fun atmosphere, good food.

Decent Cocktails and Pleasant Setting

By Tracy G |

Mostly this is a rum bar, but they have a full bar and good beer. The bar is on Mission Boulevard, which was pleasant and much mellower than the rowdier bars on the Boardwalk. The prices were not cheap but reasonable.

Miss B’s - great food and drinks!

By AmaJ953 |

Went to Miss B’s for an early dinner while on vacation and it wasn’t crowded at all. The outside seating was great with partitions at the table to maintain social distance and the menu could be scanned viaQR code. The portion size of the food was good and filling and the drinks that we had, coconut margarita and the Caribe welcome were delicious. We got the El Cubano (3), Fish and Chips, Jerk Chicken were all good portion sizes and delicious. We were stuffed at the end of the meal! I would recommend Miss B’s to anyone visiting Mission Beach San Diego

Breakfast.

By Tim O |

We had breakfast 2 days in a row. The breakfast sandwich was awesome. Service was excellent. Recommend trying the Bloody Mary also

Highly recommend with friends and/or family!

By krystala1020 |

Such a fun spot, delicious food, and drinks! For food we got the ropa vieja fries, ceviche with the plantains (love that twist for chips), and oysters. All of it was wonderful and we’d definitely get them again. As a Cuban, I absolutely love the Cuban additions of food on the menu. The servers are sweet, helpful with suggestions and, overall quick service! I love this place and can’t wait to go back.

Yummy Jerk Chicken Salad!

By JJfromSJ |

Lunched here with friends. Everyone had something different. The jerk chicken is spiced perfectly - not too hot and not too mild. Portions are large and fresh. Friend had Cubano sandwich and raved about it. We had 3 different servers and they were all knowledgeable and sweet. Fun outdoor seating with fire pits. Would definitely return!

Amazing Jerk Chicken and curried Mussels!!

By Kerrimultat |

We had been to Miss Bs for drinks and decided to go back for dinner and I'm so glad we did! I had three best jerk chicken ever and the curried Mussels are to die for! Plus they had half price bottle of wine this evening. Overall a great spot and I wish we didn't live so far because I'd be back there a lot!!

Great location near the beach

By artqueen |

I had lunch here with my friend. We split the steak sandwich. It was really tasty, with awesome fries. Wish there were more fries. There was a lot of meat in this sandwich. It was $15.00, so I would expect that. Our service was great with constant refills of water and soda. The theme is tropical, and I got a kick out of the women's bathroom that had black and white wallpaper photos of old women smoking cigars. They also served this intriguing swan drink, service for 4 with straws to share. I'll have to bring a group next time. The music seemed a bit too loud for conversion, as we were there at an off times, and that place was pretty empty. They do have outdoor seating, with a fire pit.

Great brunch place in Mission Beach

By PDX_Love2Travel |

We rode down the boardwalk to have brunch at Miss B's at the recommendation of a local who said she had just recently tried the place out. At first it looked like the place would be a better bar than a brunch spot, but actually it's both! I saw some delicious drinks being served, but my kids and I had some amazing food! I got the lechon hash (pork with potatoes and veggies and secret sauce with delicious Caribbean flavors), one of my kids got a "side" pancake the size of her head with chocolate chips, coconut shreds and whipped cream, and then we also tried the acai berry bowl. The acai berry bowl was a little on the steep side, but the fruits were fresh and had kiwi, mango, pineapple and others I'm forgetting to name. We sat outside, watched March madness on the TVs above the bar, and enjoyed our brunch. Great place!!

Lunch near the beach

By gabrielle0068 |

The food and drink was absolutely amazIng. Loved that rum shots and the Jerk Chicken Service a little slow but worth the wait!

Beach-Tastic Burgers 🍔!

By steve s |

Arrived just before sunset and a hop from the beach this fun and buzzing restaurant was a welcome relief from the east coast and worth the taxi ride from central San Diego. Great service and great drinks and this is an advert for California life at its most pure! Loved it! Thank You!!!!!

Casual spot with a great atmosphere!

By ShellBelle |

Visited Miss B's with my family of 12 and we gathered around the fire pit spot and loved it. The gnome and pineapple drinks knocked our socks off, right along with the ahi poke and the amazing steak fries! We loved it so much we came back the next day. The service was incredible and the outdoor environment in San Diego can't be beat!

First time

By Fernando G |

I came to Miss B's for a drink and a meal. First, the location is at a good place. There's the ocean near by, other venues for shopping, eating, and drinking. I just happen to choose this one. Since there are other stores/shops along Mission Blvd, it'll be pure luck if you find one in front of Miss B's or close by on the street. I avoided that headache (waste of time) and parked in the parking lot by the Mission Bay Aquatic Center. It's at the East end of Santa Clara Pl (it's about a 2 minute walk from there, and it's free parking). The place itself felt more like a sports bar at the beach. I went on a Sunday at 5:00 pm and the inside was pretty much empty. Everyone was sitting along the bar and outside the bar. I ordered their Caribbean BBQ Chicken Sandwich ($14) and a Mojito ($8). Since I did not want the fries that came with the sandwich, I substituted a salad (which was an additional $3). Over all, it came out to $26.94. The sandwich came in what looked like a cinnamon bun and looked more like sloppy joe. I had to turn it upside-down since the bottom bread was soggy and falling apart. Because it was falling apart, I had to eat it a bit quicker than I liked in order to keep it from completely coming apart on me. However, I will say that the flavor was good. Thumbs up. The salad came in what looked like a small cereal bowl. It too had an good flavor. Comparing the portion of the meal to the price, I will not ordered that again. Keeping this in mind (and their prices), I will not be going back for their food. It's still an enjoyable place for a drink with friends. The staff itself is friendly.

Fabulous caribbean food & drink

By one_bag_maven |

Amazing, delicious food, & really tasty drinks. Very friendly, welcoming staff. We got the jerk chicken & the nachos, both were phenomenal. Huge portions. Just know that the music & the atmosphere can get REALLY loud in there (yeah, I'm that old now, I guess).

Great coconut shrimp

By sailregmel2016 |

I love coconut shrimp and this is probably the best place for that dish in San Diego. Good service and fun.

Yummy!

By calipicgirl |

Breakfast -everything was amazing and huge...def sharable. The french toast was amazing. Hubby loved the burrito, fruit bowl was delish and a nice size..add whipped cream for extra yumminess! Close to beach - bonus!

Hidden Gem

By Waikiki Beach Services |

Stumbled upon this place on accident as the restaurant we were supposed to eat at had a very long wait time for brunch. So glad we ended up here instead. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was so fun! We had the acai bowl and veggie hash with eggs--both were delicious! Wish we had found this place earlier in our stay so we could have also tried their dinner offerings.

Hopeful and Disappointed

By melissaemason |

Music was too loud to have any conversation, food was mediocre and expensive for what was served. NO spice to the jerk dishes. We were disappointed as this place came so highly recommended by multiple locals.

Try the ceviche!

By motormatic |

Stumbled upon this cool spot while in town for work last week - stopped in for lunch and ended up going back for dinner so you know it was good! I had the ceviche for lunch, it was unreal. Later on the ahi tuna was a perfect dinner. The server was super nice, food came out fast and was very high quality. Atmosphere is also really good, it's just a cool, laid back beach bar. Loved it!

11 entrees ordered, food lacked flavor, would not eat here again. Conveniently located on the main street in Mission Bay

By Shelleyash |

Ate here for lunch with my family and friends today. We all ordered different entrees. We all agreed that the food needed more flavor, it was bland. We were disappointed, we expected better tasting food for the price. Prices are around $15 and up for entrees. They have a kids menu for $6.00 and offer burgers, chicken nuggets, etc. It was not busy while we were there and the service was good.

Fish a little fishy

By halfretired |

Nice location a couple of short blocks to the ocean. Large Outside seating area with lots of elbow room. Had the Fish of the Day which was yellowtail. Some parts were a little fishy tasting. The fries were great and others in our party seemed to really enjoy their meals.

Missing flavor

By Miata |

We decided to try this resturant because they had jerk chicken and other caribbean items on their menu. We were certainly disappointed. The jerk chicken had no flavor what so ever. The menu says "jerk seasoned leg" but what I got was grilled chicken with a jerk rub that you couldnt even taste. Highly disappointed. My friend ordered a side of jerk chicken and rice and beans and it was just regular grilled chicken with no seasoning at all. If you like food with flavor then go elsewhere. The drinks were good. So they should stick to that.

Hoppin Place on the Main Street

By glennaj12928 |

We stopped for lunch here & it was hoppin! You seat yourself & we sat at the bar style table facing Mission Blvd right on the corner so we could people watch. Reggae type music plays while you dine & drink. It was a very lively place! What appeared to be the owner or Mgr came over & helped seat us because we must have looked like we couldn't find a spot for us & our 1yr old, he was very nice & gave us suggestions on what to order. We ordered some drinks appetizers & then sandwiches. The coconut shrimp & pulled pork fries were amazing! Staff was friendly & food was served quickly.

Miss B’s

By Rose H |

Great burgers and friendly vibe. Our 2nd visit was just as good as the first. If you’re staying in the Mission Beach neighbourhood make sure you visit. Strong drinks and a friendly vibe make this an awesome place to be and the food is simple and good. Very welcoming and you’ll leave with a full tum and happy heart.

Great vibe even for the kids

By TravellingAngela |

We happened upon this place during a ncaa bball game and the vibe was loud! We were with our three kids and weren’t sure if it was kid-appropriate but it was perfect! Easy kid menu with colouring sheets and good price. I appreciate a small menu to make decisions easier and you know those choices will be good. It was great! And the Lime in the Coconut cocktail was tasty!!! And fun!

Delicious ceviche

By Tanya L |

I popped in here to escape the heat and was delighted with what I found. Friendly wait staff. Super casual beach atmosphere and the ceviche is delicious. Plenty of fish great flavors. The cocktails were great to.

Oysters on Half Shell

By nanreal |

I sought out oysters on half shell, and a local told me about Miss B's Coconut Club. They are a Caribbean themed bar/restaurant on the intimate size scale. They have every kind of rum that you can imagine. The young bartender was well versed in everything rum, and suggested a nice rum to have neat. Dee-licious. The oysters were good too!

Good Eating

By Kelly J |

Amazing drinks, Cuban flare, delicious food. I was really surprised at how good everything was. Iced Caribbean coffee on tap..amazing..yum...kombucha on tap. I highly recommend!

Potential but was a miss

By Squirreltex |

Had potential but the Cuban was so soggy had to pick the bottom piece of bread off. But it was tasty. Coconut shrimp disappointing Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is fun

Good food, nice outdoor spot

By dlp5 |

Great place for food and drinks and outdoor dining. Not your typical menu, very tasty. Average prices.

Fantastic place

By Scots-traveller77 |

We stumbled across Miss B’s coconut club whilst out for a walk, what a great find. We shared some wings and had a couple of cocktails. Then we had a sharing cocktail in a large copper flamingo glass, it was delicious. Would highly recommend

Yes!

By Gerise T |

What should great joint. Stopped fpr breakfast after a long walk on the beach. Enjoyed the Miss B's scramble and my husband had the breakfast burrito. So delicious. Do yourself a favor and order the kale mimosa and when you're done, order another one!

So good

By Jessica A |

I was here visiting a friend and the night we came there was an event going on. We were still able to sit at the bar and have food and drinks. I had the jerk chicken wrap with plantain chips which was awesome. Service was average. It was a fun atmosphere and we enjoyed it

Cool vibe, great food

By Gmoo2017 |

Unique menu so review of before entering, but that's why we went. Breakfast with Caribbean flare is not for those who like boring. Staff was super nice and laid back fitting what this place is all about. Will go back if I have a chance.

Some people will be happy, perhaps. Not cheap. Not great.

By Donald S |

I was excited about the huge rum list. I don't know the average but let's say $10-14/ shot (I think that's what it was). Then there is a $2 additional charge to have it "neat" or on the rocks, however there is no additional charge if you want to have a rum and coke. What's up with that? Perhaps they use cheaper or less rum, so they can give away the mixed drink for less. Makes no sense to me. They drew us in with the $1 oysters, but there were hardly any left and they were just okay. We ordered 1 salad (was fine), fried calamari (with fried pickles and peppers, so half wasn't calamari - I don't remember the price, but think it was $17 for that small plate), some fried plantains (arrived cold) and pulled pork fries. I don't know what I expected for the latter. A surprise, but at least crisp fries. It was just a soggy mess of pork, cheese some fries and not sure what. That was $17. So som $1 oysters and few snacks for 4 with 1.5 drinks each was nearly $200. No real bargain there. And it wasn't memorable either. However, the service was excellent. I suppose that is since there were at least 4 wait staff and we were the only full table inside. We did see 1 full table (2 people) outside though. I would say friendly but mediocre at best. I am not sure they will last a year without some changes.

Great drinks!

By Gretchen G |

Nice spot off the boardwalk with very tasty drinks. Had the Lind in the coconut and Coconut Club cocktails. Both were excellent beach style drinks... not too sweet.

Great food and excellent customer service

By Amittia D |

I was disappointed initially that they did not serve fried plantains (ripe ones) but they won us over with amazing flavor in each dish. The shrimp curry was full of flavor with just the right amount of spice. The steak was tender and the jerk shrimp had a good fresh flavor. The customer service was also fantastic! The servers really worked together and checked on each other's tables, which is helpful during dinner rush.

Tasty food, good vibe

By kerian1 |

Our server, as well as the restaurant, had a really great vibe. It was laid back, funky, and comfortable. My jerk chicken wrap was flavourful and delicious. My husband enjoyed the burger. It had a kids menu too, which was helpful for us. I recommend.

Phenomenal food, excellent service

By Expedition571614 |

Went twice this trip and wished we could go more! Amazing flavours in the appies we tried ( Jumbo jerk shrimp and Lechon Asado Fries). Best breakfast sandwich -ever. Fresh quality ingredients, great drink selection. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient.

Awesome Bar!

By Joshb2j |

As we were wondering off of PB, working our way back towards SD, we stumbled (literally almost) into this bar on a Saturday afternoon. Not a really big place, but had an awesome layout, with an outdoor area around the bar, an indoor bar, and several tables inside. Service was very friendly, and we enjoyed a couple of beers and some excellent people watching. We didn't have any food, but it looked really good. All in all, it was a great 90 minutes or so having a couple of drinks. I would definitely come back here.

Outdoor Spot

By IRun2Eat |

We were driving down Mission Blvd. looking for a spot to eat and chose this restaurant since it had outdoor seating and there were a number of people there, which is a good start. We enjoyed sitting outside, but the food and service did not deliver for us. I ordered the vacay everyday bowl and it lacked the flavor that I was expecting. Additionally, the service was horrible as it appeared that there was only one waitress responsible for 10 or more tables. Drink refills were sparse, food took a long time to be delivered as did the bill. We spent more time here than anticipated.

Mother daughter stop.

By Chris K |

Christiana was so nice! We stopped for a drink and a bite to eat. Cute comfortable place to stop and people watch!

OMG go!

By BatchFam |

This place is so fun. The drinks are delicious and beautiful! We stopped in for lunch after via Kolla and on the way yo Pt Loma. Mission beach is a toss the street. Cool area with lots of water activities.

Surprise find!

By SadlerTravel28 |

Our little family choose Miss B’s with just looking at the charming location and open bar feel. Our little family of four kids scored with this find. The staff was amazingly helpful in finding us a great table to sit with our young kids. The waitress was nice and very attentive. And to top it off the food was really good. We had the burger, jerk chicken wrap, and steak sandwich, which were all amazing. But the two best things of all were the fries, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Delicious. And our kids quesadillas came made like a jack o lantern. The kids loved it. Also a win, the service was fast, which is a must when you have young kids. We will be back.

Brunch For One!

By FLOGROWNGIRL |

Very busy place on corner of Mission and Santa Clara! Had Miss B'a Scramble! Delightful dish filled with black beans, sofrito, three kinds of hash brown potatoes, and jerk chicken! The Bloody Mary was pretty good as well! Indoor and outdoor seating! I chose to sit outside and it took a little bit for the server to acknowledge me but after that the service was good!

Coconut club

By Brian G |

I've been to this location 3 times in the past month hoping to have a better experience. First and foremost the drinks, food, and atmosphere are great. But they have an open seating policy and can't seem to get it right. There is absolutely no service waited 15-30 minutes to have my drink order taken and never asked if I wanted another. The great food makes up for the horrible service the wait staff is ran thin...I don't blame the staff, although I do blame leadership the problem is clear get a solution.

Not sure why rated so high

By Erika J |

We were really disappointed with this place. They had run out of the jerk chicken so we all had fish and chips and the fish was so bland! Fries were good, and the cocktail I got was delicious. The service was slow too, our waitress was by herself because another waitress took an hour dinner break and was taking shots with her friend. I was really surprised when she went back to work after drinking. Not very professional at all, we will not be back here.

Fabulous food!

By jillsmith1 |

We had lunch here after being recommended by girl in shop near to it. Food was absolutely delicious!! We had calamari and Ropa Vieja Fries. The fries were to die for!! Friendly service with a smile. Go!! You will not regret it!!

Came for the fancy drinks

By jadybugs |

We came to share a fancy pineapple glass drink but the drink wasn't gluten free so we opted for the gnome drink which they made gf just for my hubby. I had a tiki mug of bud light both were good and the patio was very nice to watch the small area of mission pass by!

Drinks OK, but don't come for the food

By mibo888 |

Stopped by for a late lunch. Location is a short hop from the beach. I can see how this would be a happening place in the evening, if you are looking for drinks and hanging out. For lunch not so much. Had the fries with pulled pork, and while the pork was OK, the fries were drenched in a creamy sauce and soon soaked to the point they looked like potato soup. For the price they are charging not a place to go before it gets dark....

Simply perfect!

By GeniessendeEntdecker |

Good drinks, good food, great staff, nice customers, cool atmosphere, amazing menu, ... We have very enjoyed our visit! Thank's a lot!

Great food at a "local" establishment

By dad54 |

The ceviche was enjoyed by my friend and I really enjoyed the steak. The waitress, amid west girl, was perky and attentive. It is not a fancy establishment but represented really good value. I would fully recommend this place to all

Good, Casual Choice!

By Dan A |

Dropped in for a late lunch - very friendly staff, and interesting menu choices. I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich - and the watermelon mimosas are definitely worth a try. Not the cheapest place, but commencerate with being a block from the beach. Give it a try!

Awesome food. Great location

By PattiRNB |

The burger is to die for and the fries are out of this world! My friend had the ceviche and I tried a bite and it was extremely tasty! This is a must visit.

Great Patio and Atmosphere!

By Andy S |

Stopped here for drinks and to enjoy the amazing weather on the patio. Great selection of rum, nice list of beers and other drinks as well. Service was outstanding. Patio had a good atmosphere and was nice in size. Stopped on a Wednesday around lunch time and the place was not very busy at all, which was nice to be able to sit and relax without being over crowded or loud. We also stopped on the weekend and the place was a lot busier, but still fun. Service didn't suffer once because of the amount of people in there. Definitely will stop here again for a drink or two next time we are in town.

Great neighborhood spot

By Whr53022 |

A family visit with three kids and all were pleased. Good fresh food - cuban sandwiches, ceviche, veggie hash - all really fresh and good. Also stopped at the bar at night and they had a good array of drink specials. Nice spot with indoor and outdoor seating and fire pits.

Great food and service! Fun atmosphere!

By BrittPBell |

Great food and friendly and fast service. The breakfast sandwich yum! Coconut French toast yum! Açaí bowl and granola and fruit yum! Waitress was very friendly and we appreciated that she did not wear super short shorts like the other waitresses had on. It’s sad to see young women with such great personalities and are great servers to wear such very little clothing in a food service industry. It’s hard not to look at a butt cheek poking out of shorts as it’s eye level when sitting at a table. Would be so great to have these young ladies where decent length shorts so their bottom of their cheeks are not exposed.

Awesome gluten free food

By paulays165 |

Fantastic food including awesome GF food, fantastic service and super fun atmosphere, highly recommended!

Food, Beer, Firepit, and Fun!

By CCATT1Manz |

Outstanding service! Food was great, drinks kept coming. We gathered around one of the fire pits and enjoyed the evening.

Lovely place

By richard c |

Really nice staff in there We didn't want alcohol ( flying tonight ) But they were really accommodating Gave us some really nice iced coffee

Beachy and delicious!

By Maria B |

Perfect lunch spot for a day at Mission Beach! We got the coconut shrimp and the cubano sandwich. Both were delicious! Service and ambiance were lovely as well.

Cocktail Time

By vagabondginger |

I spent a good part of the day at an event at the Mission Beach Aquatics Center out sailing, kayaking and walking along the Beach Boardwalk. So to wind up my day here I stopped in for a Cocomotive Cocktail which was half Watermelon Sugah and half Coconut Margarita garnished with slices of watermelon and pineapple. It tasted just as good as it looked. This place had a really cool decor and vibe to it.

Saturday Brunch was busy but enjoyable

By Rick N |

Came on a Saturday afternoon for Brunch. Menu was small for Brunch but food was pretty solid. Had the Miss B's Burger and it tasted fine. The drinks are interesting and strong for Brunch, The Lime in the coconut was tasty in an actual coconut. I had the Tortuga Heater, like an old fashioned with rum and bourbon in it so strong but tasty. El Cubano fries with pulled pork on it was good too,Space dust IPA was good too.

Best Bar/Restaurant Mission Beach

By Robert Leverett |

Happened on this place...now it's my go to. Best Cubano sandwich ever. Great bartenders. Great Atmosphere

A great dinner

By BeasleyE |

My husbands dreams were made when he had the brisket sandwich with jus to dip it in. Very friendly and efficient staff who appear to really care about what they serve. Good music and tv coverage. Would recommend to others.

Lively place for cocktails and Caribbean food in the heart of Mission Beach. Parking can be tough. Expect a 5% surcharge

By Don'tWaitForRetirement |

IN THE HEART OF MISSION BEACH A block or two off the beach, Mss B's Coconut Club embodies a classic So Cal Mission Beach vibe! LIVELY We sat at the bar and experienced attentive, friendly service and a lively atmosphere. The cocktail was fun, the jerk chicken wrap was tasty. (The seasoned fries were excellent!) The restroom was clean (They have two non-gender for which we had to wait in line). They also offer outdoor seating, some of which is shaded. EXPECT A 5% SURCHARGE We paid $35+tip for one cocktail and one wrap sandwich with fries. (Shared) which included a 5% SURCHARGE to "help support wage increases and benefits". I really dislike these extra fees being tacked on everywhere and it discourages me to eat out, honestly. Imagine if we'd EACH had a cocktail and sandwich, we'd be up around the $70 mark for lunch. PARKING IS TRICKY The main downside is parking. We'd attempted to visit this restaurant in the height of summer, 9 months prior, but after circling and circling, could not find parking, so we left. This time, (Spring) we arrived by 11am and managed to find a spot a 10 minute walk away. If you found this review useful, please click the thumbs-up! 👍

Super Yummy

Very laid-back place that serves really good food. We sat at the bar and were taken very good care of. I can't remember what my daughter had but I had the barbecue jerk chicken sandwich and it was great. We're still not sure if they specialize in Jamaican food or Cuban food but, regardless of their specialty, they serve some delicious grub.

Fun!

Really good cocktails and mocktails in fun ceramic glasses, good food (especially the jerk chicken wrap and plantain chips), and an upbeat vibe even on a rainy evening.

Well this was a surprise

After spending $250 the night before on a mediocre dinner at Eddie V's swanky restaurant in La Jolla I was pleasantly surprised at Miss B's. I had the salmon sandwich and it was EXCELLENT. We ordered the swan drink at $28 which was equally delicious but would have made more sense just to order our own individual drink. It's loud and young and fun.

We had to try the giant flamingo drink

By Heather M |

We specifically went to Miss B's to try the giant flamingo drink. It's a tropical drink served in giant copper flamingo that is meant to be shared. Fun tiki bar decor and good service. Great place.

Great find in Mission Bay Area

Our family stopped in for dinner. We were attracted to the jerk and curry items on the menu and they did not disappoint. Not a large menu but that just means they are really good at the limited dishes they serve! Our 13 yr old ordered a steak sandwich our server recommended and was very happy with it. Our 9 yr old was satisfied with her chicken nuggets and fries and her menu and crayons. My husband and I each enjoyed a tasty cocktail. We were seated right away on a Sunday evening and serving was great. Recommend!

This place is great

At first, I thought this would be yet another nameless bar on Mission Blvd. It is not! It is an open bar so you're kinda sitting outside. We've been there twice, food is very good, staff is pleasant, good selection of drinks, and a great atmosphere. If you are in the neighborhood stop in,you will enjoy it.

Left disappointed

Based on other reviews, we must have visited on an "off-night". We had reservations but the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. The service was painfully slow, four drinks and two appetizers literally took one hour. The staff seemed standoffish and disappeared for long periods of time. The drinks were fine enough, typical sugary concoctions. The appetizers were really good. We had the loaded fries and wings. After one hour, our main entree order had not been taken, we paid up and left for the Pacific Ale House up the street. Would not go back given the significant number of choices available nearby.

Fun spot and great service!

This is a great corner bar with a great patio, just a block from the beach! The service was great and there are a ton of TV’s! Food was ok, and has beach prices...

Miss B's is the Best

By David D |

When visiting San Diego be sure to stop by Miss B's Coconut Club. Down on Mission Boulevard just a clams toss from the beach. The food is tasty with a Cuban flare. Citrus and plantain chips are plentiful. Spices are not to over bearing but are just right. The meat was tender and the fish flaky with just a hint of spice. Some things were extra spicy but they will accommodate you if you cant handle the truth.

The Boardwalk is now Mss'Bs

An open "sports bar" atmosphere consistent with the Pacific Beach area. Food good, and the service was excellent.

Great Veggie Wraps!

By Knilaoire |

This is a great spot for a number of reasons : The food, Beer, and people watching. Situated behind the boardwalk roughly halfway between Mission and Pacific Beach, its a great spot to stop for lunch. I had a particularly lovely Vegetarian Wrap which was bursting with flavour and came with fries.

Worth visiting

Nice sitting on the deck, interesting menu. Good for meat lovers or vegetarians. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would come again if I am here.

An Incredible Vacation Experience

We love going to Miss B’s! A great atmosphere; good food & incredible drinks (try the coconut local favorites served in real carved/branded coconuts). The Burgers are great - so is the Ahi Poke & Coconut Shrimp. Eddie, the bartender aims to make sure each customer is pleased with their drinks!! The entire staff is service oriented and very friendly. And the bar/rest is located only steps away from the beach! Enjoy!!

It was good not great, if you are expecting Jamaican spicy food you will be disappointed

By pyropole |

The food was good, we will go back. Service and cocktails were better, the place definitely has a funky beach vibe. Was disappointed in the Jamaican cheese Steak the whole sandwich might have had 4oz of skirt steak, for 19.00 I expected a fair portion. Nothing is spicy there is not a scotch bonnet chile in the place or a habanero. Very Americanized Jamaican food.

First Time Visit

By TripGal63 |

We decided to try a new restaurant during this trip to the beach - happen to see this place while driving down the road - next day we decided to give it a try - went in for breakfast and the food was amazing - food is based on jamaican influence and it is excellent - my husband had Miss B's Scramble and I had the Breakfast Sandwich along with a couple of Bloody Mary's - there was plenty of food and the bread is fresh from the bakery next door - will definitely return...

Always satisfied!

A little taste of the Keys/Cuba/fusion: We found this gem just over a year ago and have been going regularly ever since. The food is wonderful - we’ve tried almost everything on the menu! The drinks are unique and oh so delicious - copper flamingos, pineapples, gnomes - all keep the fun and ambience going. The newest Chester Copperpott drink is a treasure chest I’m dying to try on my next visit. The service is always on point and the staff is super friendly. They’ve earned a full 5 stars! I love that you can order food or drinks, get incredible consistency, friendly service, amazing flavors, and always leave satisfied!

Good food, but hot/loud

By Jess S |

We had brunch at Miss B's per the suggestion of a local friend. We had to wait a while before a server came over, but thankfully had been brought waters by the host who seated us. The food was delicious and our drinks were on point. Definitely recommend the Coconut Rum French Toast as well as the Breakfast Burrito. The Coconut Margarita was perfectly refreshing for the hot day. I will say I was slightly disappointed at how warm it was sitting inside of the restaurant. There are no overhead fans so minimal air circulation. We got there at a busy time so the patio may have been more comfortable. Despite it only being in the mid/upper 70s, the inside of the restaurant was stuffy (at least where we were seated). As other reviews have mentioned, the music is LOUD inside and, while my hubs and I were sitting right next to each other, we had to talk pretty loudly to hear each other. Despite some of the cons, we would eat there again if we were to return to the area as the food and drinks were worth the stop.

Cool place close to boardwalk

I had the jumbo jerk shrimp which was very good. Close to the condo I was renting so thought I would give it a try. I'm glad I did. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. They have these huge specialty drinks for 2 or 3 people to share. They looked good but I didn't have one. I did have drink envy though because some girls next to me were drinking one. Decent beer selection.

Rum and Junk food

By Frenchfrog39 |

The place is busy, with an open bar on Mission avenue. There is music and lots of screens. This is not a family place but more a bar where you want to hang out with mates, drink Rum ( the Rum menu is impressive) and eat huge quantities of junk food.

Great little spot

Great place

By Lynd815 |

This is a great place for just spending and hour or so watching life pass by while drinking great cocktails and eating lovely food. I ordered the curried coconut shrimp which was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, the service was a little slow on the night we visited but it was busy and it made no difference to the enjoyment of the evening. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
