Good Sushi and good vibe while easy to get to located in the Pearl District. Service was friendly would recommend if you in the mood for sushi 🍣

I was exploring the Pearl District and keen for a sushi lunch; I stumbled across Momoyama while walking and decided to stop-in for a late lunch. I had a nice experience. There was a lovely covered patio. Service was kind and efficient. There was a large menu, including a menu of affordable lunch specials. The sushi selection was broad and many other items were on-offer, too. I had a delicious rainbow roll and a couple of side salads. Tasty and fresh! Would certainly return if in the area.

A harmonious combination of tender meat, juicy cooking and surely the personal touch of MOMOYAMA cook made me discover an exquisite flavor that I had not known for a long time. That was after tasting the SRF kobe 12oz Strip loin steak. I also took the opportunity to try the seafood ramen, a type of dish I usually enjoy at home in the DC area. How I was then pleasantly surprised by their recipe which was simply excellent. In any case, thank you to the whole team because the welcome was warm and the explanation and advice concerning the Suntory quite simply edifying.

I really enjoyed the Japanese presentation of oysters accompanied by roe. Also enjoyed the salmon ceviche. Very different than the Mexican style. My wife was less enamored, but then again she’s not so enamored by me either. I found the fried items less appealing. Not quite The Single Thread, but an adequate local substitute.
Fresh & tasty in Portland
The sushi is as fresh and tasty as that I have had in Japan. The salmon sampler is first rate, and the Toro is outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive. Pam was so great! Nice ambience, as well.
