Great food for vegans looking for something better than just a burger. They even offer special off menu items that are similar to specials like “animal style” at In N Out.

Monty's is incredible...and fun. The burgers are truly amazing. The sauces are to die for...I recommend the sriracha aioli. Tots will rock your world.

The burger that made me realize vegan can be more delicious than the real thing. The chicken burger that made me actually like chicken burgers. Love all their sauces to dip the yummy tater tots into.

As stated in the title, the good burger is making me and my friends and family ditch the animals. If you don't want to feel too unhealthy and order all the fries too, they have the kale available as well!

I LOVE Monty's so much I had to get on a plane just so I could have a weekend full of them. Their impossible burger is the best that I have found anywhere. Be ready to stand in line for a while because the secret has gotten out, how great they are that, our non vegan friends actually don't mind joining us for a meal now. Choose the tots over the fries or go 50/50 you can't go wrong. Don't forget a drink to round out your meal as their drink selection is phenomenal as well. I'd suggest the strawberry lemonade or chocolate shake. Monty's is a must have when in town!

Quick, easy and tasty plant based fast food is what this place is all about. When I went the line overflowed to the sidewalk which was about 8 people deep. In total, the experience of ordering and receiving food didn’t take too long - maybe 10 mins. I ordered a single which is a loaded single patty Impossible Burger along with a $4 side of tater tots and a dipping sauce. Their shakes looked amazing however I controlled myself and ordered just a water. The burger was yummy and so glad I visited. Good neighborhood walk up joint with really limited parking availability for the rest of us.

Amazing vegan food, 100% plant based. Pretty small place and there was a line out the door but the food was delicious! Burgers, fries, tater tots, shakes, floats, etc. The staff was very friendly as well! Definitely recommend!

The food was amazing. We had the burger, fries, and a kale salad with the strawberry lemonade. The only con was the place is literally a hole in the wall. Not ideal for dine in or large families that want to sit together.

The burgers are $11 and $14 but Delicious and Wholesome. The place isn’t big and there’s typically a line. Well worth it though.

Stopped in for a snack. Although we only got fries, tater tots, and a kale salad it was a good experience. The sauces for the fries were excellent. We tried the sriracha, garlic aioli, and the habanero which was the favorite by the way. The employees were nice and all seemed to be enjoying their job. The atmosphere is very casual as we were seated by the wall since it is very small inside. In the past we have gotten the burger and it is rather tasty for a non meat burger. If I wasn't watching calories i might've gotten the shake.

I love this place so much! It's got me searching the shores of England to find something that can even compete... I can't find any competition. You get what you pay for at Monty's, it isn't cheap, but you get quality, great service, and supporting a local business. Not to mention the tastiest burger ever that I think about at least 4 times a week. The staff are always super helpful and friendly, even in the huge queue theres often a staff member coming out having a chat, or handing out stickers. I make a point of whenever I am in LA that this is the first place I go, and the last place too (I nearly missed my flight last time - worth it).

These vegan places are getting more and more popular. My vegan loving daughter has been waiting to visit this place so here we are. I ordered the double fake cheeseburger with all the fixings and tater tots. The burger was very good and as close to a cow meat burger one can get. I tasted two different chocolate shakes that our group ordered but I did not like them. I would pass on the shakes and stick with the burgers.

Sometimes vegan restaurants do not deliver, that was not the case with Monty's. Monty's was such a satisfying meal and experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was our first time at Monty's and they walked us through the menu and helped us order. The food: Everything we got was delicious. It is so hard to believe it is entirely plant based. The burgers were hearty and just what we were craving. The tots and the fries with all the dipping sauces were delicious. The ambiance: we loved the cute counter style service. Its a small cozy spot that feels family run which is nice. The service: So friendly and spot on. We will definitely be back. Our only wish is that there was one close to us because we would be here weekly.

Let me just start by saying I thoroughly enjoyed lunch at Monty's. From the hamburger to the fries to the strawberry shake I had. the burger was not dry at all and it tasted like a real burger! You would not know that it was plant based when eating. Their special mayo is definitely good! The French fries were fresh and tasted like real potatoes. Oh and the strawberry shake....super delicious and fresh! If you go ensure you go early as it will fill you up for the remainder of the day. Just try and miss the lines. Which is hard to do during lunch or directly at dinner. I went about 2 pm which was a cool time. The lines get long!! I can tell you it is expensive. If you are feeding a large family be prepared to spend some dough but it is plant based and nowadays that is not cheap. I will say that they do not skimp on the food they give you. the shake was smaller for the $7 but for the first time trying I went ahead. I got a double burger and it was $13.50 and the fries were $4. they also offer cane sugar pop for those that need some fizz after eating. I got my food to go but they do have a few seats inside and about 2-3 tables. Outside there are a couple benches for people to sit on and eat as well. I was prepared to get my food to go.

My vegan daughter took me to this tiny counter restaurant and there was a line down the sidewalk. The wait wasn't too long, however, and it was so worth it! A small menu but the burgers and tots were incredible. I'm not 100% vegan myself but would choose these burgers over any beef burger, any day. Sauces were delicious and large portions. Also loved the positive vibe in the restaurant - one of the cooks had a birthday so everyone stopped and sang to him. Fun, simple atmosphere.

You can share but for sure you should get your own. Love, love, love this place. Just writing this review makes me hungry. Located in Koreatown, although there is a little street parking, easier to get to w/ public transportation and walking. Small place and you will notice out front a sign of where to stand if the place is full. I went for dinner before a show and was able to walk right in. There is counter as well as table seating. I ordered (had seen the menu before - it is pretty simple w/ a few choices), paid at the register and grabbed a counter seat. Prices were reasonable. The guys and ladies were buzzing around the grill - all doing different things but staying out of each other's way while seemingly having a good time. All the staff was friendly and while I was there, asking if I needed anything. One of the guys saw my music t-shirt and we started talking music while he was working. Turned me on to the Dead Sara band (check them out - super fun band) - he plays drums for this band. Soon enough my food came. I ordered a single burger, lemonade and tater tots along with dipping sauces - I ended up getting 3 extra sauces (you get one free and then $1 each for extras) so I could try a few different ones - loved the habanero and ranch sauces. Food seriously so good - think next time I will try one of the shakes. I did not realize the lemonade was sparkling so didn't like this so much but it worked. The burger was a delicious, messy (in a good way) creation with grilled onions, cheese, etc. And the tots - like I said you could share but why? I ended up eating half of the meal - saved the other half for the train ride the next day. Plant based goodness for all the right reasons here. Next time we are up in LA, this is definitely the spot we want to come to. There are 3 locations for Monty's - hmmm.. may have to check them all out.

Famous vegan bucket list. Traveling thru city- had to finally stop! Best vibes. 100% vegan burger joint. Funky decor & all the right vibes. Amazing vegan food. 2 vegans & 2 non vegans. The non vegans loved the food so much “wow- this is all vegan?” was uttered before smashing down the entire order! Amazing vegan food in the city not to be skipped!

Best vegan burger joint in LA, must go and try, you won't be disappointed. Don't forget diary free shakes mmmmmmmm

I'm not sure there is a way to describe the burger here that will do it justice - all I can say is that is truly incredible and the best burger I have ever had in my life! Me and a friend were staying at a hotel nearby and stumbled across this little restaurant almost by accident. We loved it so much we went back the next day for more! As it is still a small business and a small shop the queue can get quite long but it is definitely worth it. The staff were all so lovely too & I wish I'd bought a hoody! :-) Sadly I live in the UK so won't be able to have another of these for a long time :(

I saw Monty’s Good Burger advertised on a Los Angeles vegan food page on Instagram and instantly had to try it. My friends and I visited on that same day and it was clear to us right away that this wasn’t your average vegan burger, the queue for this restaurant was huge. The menu isn’t fussy and the food is great. The friends I visited with are not vegan but loved the food and praised the burger finding it hard to believe that something with absolutely no meat in it could be so yummy. The restaurant itself is very small, so I advise getting your meal as a take away. If you live in LA or are on holiday over there I definitely recommend giving it a try. Waiting for London to serve vegan burgers as good as these!

My first vegan burger! I tell you, I'm not missing meat at all. By far the best burger I had when I visited L.A.

Burger joints are ten a penny of course. Monty's is different in that this is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant offering impossible burgers and plant based chicken and a range of interesting beverages. Your welcome into this restaurant will be very friendly judging by our experience, and one orders from the counter and then your food will be delivered, expeditiously, to your table. Our party of four ordered a variety of examples from the menu. I had an impossible burger that was delicious and very filling. Two of us ordered the "chicken" burger and were not actually aware if was plant based until after the meal which says something I think. One of our party ordered the "tenders" and wasn't terribly impressed so probably ordering well is important here. The fries are good, but they also offer tots which is a preferable choice in my view and I very much like to see that on a menu. The lemonade I had was delicious indeed, but the cherry flavored beverage some others ordered didn't go down so well. All in all, since this is a different style of restaurant from your typical chain, it pays to think about what you are ordering as it may not be quite what you expect. This is not a criticism at all, I love that this is different and I very much enjoyed the ambience, food and general approach of Monty's. However, be aware that you pay for this. Our meal for 4 came to over $80 and I will always support business such as this, but this is a lot for a meal of this time, so just be aware. However, it is an excellent place, I would eat here again for sure and places like this deserve to succeed.

Mediocre food at best. The single cheese burger had a very thin patty. Felt like I was only eating bread. I suggest getting a double patty. The 50/50 fries/tots was good. The food was very expensive, $60+ for three people. Parking was a pain. Very limited parking with a lot of parking restrictions. We ended up parking one block away in a residential (apartment) area. Go here if it’s on your bucket list but there are much better options in my opinion.

I was visiting my daughter in studio city and she’s vegan. We visited several vegan places and Monty’s was by far the best. There was a line to get in but it’s so worth the wait. Their burgers, fries, root bear floats were amazing. My daughter and two others in my party had the burgers, fries and their shakes. Once again so delicious. My only regret is I had to leave the next day so I couldn’t go back. But you can be sure I’ll eat there next time I’m back and more than once. I’m from south haven, mi they should open one up in Michigan as there’s no good vegan places in Michigan. Vegan or not you need to eat at Monty’s when visiting LA. Staff was fast efficient and friendly. They deserve a 10 star rating!

Most of the time there is a line out of the door of this tiny establishment but it moves quickly and is totally worth it. Plant based burgers and wonderful prepared fries and tater tots. Big time yum. Don't look for excellent seating or ambiance because it isn't there. Take your food to go and eat in your car and you will be planning for your very next visit again.

I've been talking to a number of different people about the 'impossible' burger that seems to have become so popular that even Carls Jnr are doing them now. I'd never actually tried one but people say they're really good so finding myself in a charming district of Los Angeles known as Koreatown, or K-Town as us locals call it, I happened upon Monty's Good Burger purely by chance and was glad I did. All their food is 100% plant-based, locally sourced and served by very pleasant hip young things who seem to be having a lot of fun. Its a burger joint for vegans that love the taste of a good patty but can't go there. They play good music, make great shakes and the burgers are very tasty. I highly recommend this place to anyone with a conscience and a hunger for some plant-based yumminess.

I cannot believe this burger is totally plant-based. Absolutely delicious. I may have gone twice in a week. Also, awesome selection of sodas (free refills), lovely staff, and a generally great vibe. Waiting for Monty's to come to the UK...

Reminds me of the diners from a bygone era with bright neon lights and rows of countertops this place serves one of the best plant-based burger I’ve ever tasted. As a recent convert to Vegan food I always loved California’s native In-N-Our burger and the flavors and texture at Monty’s are similar yet different and minus the guilt. Though pricey they do use the best ingredients like Impossible 2.0 and Follow your heart cheese. The strawberry vegan shake with actual strawberry chips is so thick and creamy I ate every drop. Oh and just like the other place they also come with a long line but always worth the wait.

The food in this place is great and the vibe too. Be prepared to queue a few minutes. It’s worth it. Friendly service. Loud music. Great shakes.

3 burger meals came to $60+ without a tip. That's outrageous, even for LA, but the place was full. The food was reasonable, fries were made from whole potato which was particularly tasty, the vegan burger and cheese were passable and the sauces were good. Too much soft, sweet bread. We wanted to be enthusiastic about this place, but it really wasn't worth the cost.
Awesome impossible burger
We got the animal fries and the burger and it was so bomb ! It’s super small so you can get it to go , or if the bar is free you can eat there. It’s usually really busy so try to go after lunch. Great place to check out in koreatown.
