Superb Thai!

By CJ_Nobile |

Having a 'Last night in Miami' with some friends. Yari was our waitress - she was so charming and witty and helpful with our menu selections. The food was delicious. Best tofu Masaman I've had ever. I will definitely put this on my 'return to' list the next time I am in Miami.

Best Asian in Miami

Great Sushi and curry

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went on a Friday night and it was packed. We started with the tuna tar tar and had a couple of rolls. We also tried curry for the 1st time and it was excellent. I had never had it before and was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely get next time we go.

Great food, quick service

By Anthony Maiello |

Whenever I am in West Kendall, this is my go to spot for good thai food. I am a big fan of Panang Curry, and they have one of the best by far. Red Panang Curry is one of my faves to have here.

Our most frequent visited restaurant

By PolRJ |

Me and my wife LOVE, "literally" love this place. We go at least 3 times a week. The environment, food, and service is what always makes us come back. We tried all moon thais, but the one in Kendall Dr is just the best! LOVE IT!

A Truly Delicious Destination!

By Uncle R |

Great trendy modernistic decor, a pleasant wait staff, coupled with delicious couisine make this a must-do restaurant. Dining selections come from a wide variety of both Thai and Vietnamese offerings, featuring two distinct menus. We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. This is a good place to bring your significant other.

big menu, lots of choices

By cullinand17 |

first time here, saw it from the street, rt 1, big menu ! had the octopus salad , good liked it a lot, had the 'duck' was ok, not as good as i hoped it would be, came with salad and soup, also 'salmon' was good, sitting so close to a busy street can be loud and was, but it was pretty busy for lunch and im sure dinner they do good also. The sushi i saw on the table next to me looked very good, give it a try,

Great food

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went here for a business dinner. We started with a couple rolls of sushi. They were very fresh and tasty. For main course we had the sweet and sour chicken with level 2 spice and the pad thai with shrimp and it was also excellent. I live in the area and did not even know this restaurant existed. It is at the end of a strip mall by an LA fitness. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely return.

Amaizing food!

Ok food and pricey

By HectorFL |

We went for dinner a few days ago. The drinks are expensive and the wine list is not impressive. The food is ok if you are a fan of sushi which I am not. The thai dishes are ok but expensive. Dessert is not worth it. The service is good as well as the presentation. Everything is expensive here.

Yummy for the Family!

By Jo R |

Wonderful restaurant to enjoy with the Family! We went on Saturday and had two wonderful servers ... As we waited for the habachi table, we decided to wait at the bar ... bartender, she was friendly and engaging. And the habachi cook, Divey (his name) had the most entertaining personality. My kids loved the experience and it was due to his awesome way on communicating and engaging the kids. My 6 year old wanted to take him home... Highly recommend this place if you are looking to have a romantic outing or family night! Trust me the kids are so engaged it will practically feel like they're not there...lol

Hurricane dinner

By Canesbiggdogg |

We were stuff in house all day waiting for Hurricane to pass. When it was safe we went to dinner. We started with crab Wonton and edamame. We had an assortment of sushi rolls and some pad Thai and curry food. We ended with the Thai donuts. All the food was excellent. It is a definite repeat.

Japanese & Thai surprise in West Kendall

By Steve F |

Our first visit to this hidden treasure in West Kendall, 1 mile east of Krome Ave . Ordered Thai appetzers (pad Thai & chicken satay) that were both plentiful and delicious!! Japanese rolls were also made with fresh fish and very flavourful!

mix of Japan and Thai

By Janna T |

Tasty food and good service. You can choose in 2 menu's - Thai and Japanese. Be ware - the portions are really big!

Exotic night...

By martariverallorens |

The restaurant is inviting, beautifully decorated and very cozy. The food is excellent, tasteful and diverse. The service and attention are outstanding! Every dish is worth trying!

My favorite thai restaurant in Miami

By mogway |

I have been there twice and I always have a good meal. They have one of the best shrimp pad thai. The service is good. The parking lot is small and they have to share it with a Starbucks, so it is full most of the time.

It's pretty good food.

By Krystina S |

I've been here a number of times and have never been let down by either the Thai menu or the Japanese menu. The service is really nice and thoughtful, though sometimes slow to get food out.

Moon Thai and Japanese

By Dinora S |

Great place to have lunch or dinner. It is a truly beautiful place and the meals are great. Be careful with the spice. If you are not accustom to having hot spicy food order the lowest level of heat. Enjoy.

Best Thai in area!

By NCNJM d |

It's great these folks opened a restaurant in the area. Great Thai food and a good Happy Hour drink special. Service is great and friendly staff. It can get pricey but then again most Thai restaurants are pricey. This is a family favorite of ours. Grat atmosphere and very clean.

Exceptional!

By Megoosala |

The atmosphere of the restaurant was clean, comfortable, unique and cozy. The lighting was just right and the music, very chill. Our waiter was attentive, informative, polite and friendly. He gave us just the right amount of attention and space. I had the best vegetable pad thai of my life. Exceptional experience.

Terrible

By Olga C |

Very disappointing Thai food experience. Food taste and quality way below average. Fried calamari flavorless and disgustingly inedible. Chicken pad Thai with no peanuts and also flavorless. Staff very unfriendly and rude. We originally ordered for take out but then decided to sit outdoors. The host refused to accommodate us (2 people) even though all the tables outdoors were empty.

Mmmmmmoon Thai!

By FamilyGuy_from_NJ |

I have to admit being a bit trepidatious about trying this Thai and Japanese Restaurant diagonally opposite the University of Miami campus and just a few blocks from our hotel. Why? Because when we asked for recommendations from "locals" whom we trust, they said such quotables as "It ain't what it used to be". Well, it probably used to suck, because it was FABULOUS! We had a crowd of five and had appetizers from both the Thai and Japanese sides of the menu. The Thai dumplings (kenob jeeb?) were phenomenal as was the Nam Sod (ground minced pork w lemon and peanuts on a bed of lettuce - a personal favorite)! The Thai Beef Salad was also a crowd pleaser especially since our guests had never tried any of these traditional Thai dishes. My nephew ordered the Pad Thai (noodle dish) and was very glad he did. The sushi was fresh and the fish was EXCELLENT. VERY HIGH QUALITY. The spicy rolls - wonderful. The chef special rolls? Delicious. The service was good even though it was rush hour. Not terrible expensive. And, for me, they had Diet Coke (versus Pepsi, which - if you're a Coke drinker - you understand it simply doesn't cut it). Highly recommend Moon Thai and Japanese if you are visiting Coral Gables. Tell 'em Family Guy from NJ sent you!

PUBLIX QUALITY SUSHI FOR 3 X PRICE

By maria s |

Had been to this place 3-4 times in the past 3-4 years. Every time I give them a new try is the same and then I remember why I haven't been in so long even when is so close to home. nice ambience, poor quality food. Or better said, their sushi has the quality of any pre packed sushi from any store. Plates were returned from the table next to ours. My husband and I asked for the same soup (the one they recommended to try) and even though it was the same one they didn't taste the same???? Not going back!!!

I love this place

By 83scarface |

I have to say I've been eating sushi for a long time and nothing compares to moon Thai west Kendall. They have the best sushi I have ever tasted and very good service I recommend this place to sushi lovers...

Not as good as it used to be

By Florida84 |

Second time in a row that I have an issue with my carry out order. I’ve always ordered from this location and never had any type of problems. But recently, I’ve had a bad experience and will probably not me a customer any longer. The first issue was about a month ago, I ordered sushi, and thai Doughnuts for my son. When I got home the Doughnuts didn’t have the sauce they come with, so I called and the manager gave me a free thai Doughnut order on my next visit. Well today was my next visit. When I got there, the hostess was unpleasant which surprised me because they are usually very nice. My order was not ready, which it always is. They said to give it 15-20 minutes when I called. Well, I got there 30 minutes after my order was placed to give extra time but it wasn’t ready. So I waited.. and finally my order came out. I asked the unpleasant hostess if my order was complete. She nodded with a yes..got to my car to checked my order (I’m glad I checked before getting home) and my miso soup that I paid for and ordered was missing. Went back in to get it and the hostess gave some excuse and apologized. My troubles didn’t end there. When I got home to have my soup.. it was bitter! The taste was horrible. I had my mom taste it because we both always order this soup and she also said it had a weird taste. So I threw it all out. Waste of money. I dont know what is happening here but this place is going to loose more and more customers if they keep messing up. What a shame because it was my go to restaurant.

Delicious food!

By Dabedrabbom |

Great food and service! Everything was fresh and delicious! You must go if your in Miami! Its always packed, so try to call before.

Best Place in the Area

By Advisor4000 |

After several meals with friends and family here, and after trying other restaurants in the area, I feel this is the best place to eat. Beyond that, it is the only restaurant in the area that seems to be clean, well served, and with good food at the same time. I wish there were more places like this.

This is a must do

By jsmillar |

Easily, some of the best sushi and Thai cuisine I've had. Highly recommended. Spacious and gracious with a great atmosphere.

One of the best Thai restaurants in town!!!

By Ashley B |

Pad Thai here is delicicious. Also the coconut soup with mushroom (I can't recall the name) and the fried calamari. The staff is super friendly.

Always good!

By Canesbiggdogg |

We started with seaweed salad and shrimp dumplings. They were really good. We each had a sushi roll and some shrimp pad Thai to share. All the food was good like always. It is our go to sushi place in West Kendall

Very cool place !

By cmet66 |

We were sitting on the terrace outside, but the interior is really nice hip and cool. Not the typical asian restaurant style or decoration. The food was very good, I had a pad thai and my wife a dish with chicken and eggplant, garlic, peppers and other vegetables. Half way we switched dishes and they both were awesome !

Horrorible the restaurant

By Ernesto R. |

Horrorible the restaurant only had 2 customers and my wait to take out was long the cashier who took my order had a NASTY attitude and worse of all the TEMPURA seemed it was fried hours ago and some of the sushi and sashimi tasted humid and old...Spend tour money SOMEWHERE ELSE...

Delicious , huge menu

By Basart74 |

Huge menu , all kind of choices , delicious food , the best drinks , deserts . Good service . Free parking

Great Sushi!!

By msj392015 |

I love me some sushi!!! I always visit the sushi rock cafe on las olas blvd for sushi because it is so good but i decided to step out of the box when i visited the southland mall in kendall. The Moon Thai Japanese Restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and the sushi was Great!!

Great Food, Service and Ambiance!

By Luv2Tour2 |

We very much enjoyed the food at Moon Thai & Japanese. Red Curry chicken is our usual favorite dish, and it was wonderful. When we first came to the restaurant we wanted to seat outside and we did, but since it faces Dixie Hwy, it was really loud and smelled bad from all the cars that were passing by. We asked to be moved inside and the staff courteously and graciously helped us in. Great place!

Good variety and taste

By Canesbiggdogg |

Have been here a couple of times . Their menu is humongous between the Thai and japanese. We started with a cucumber salmon roll. We shared a dancing shrimp roll and an eel explosion roll. She also ordered the vietnamese phone soup and it was amazing. We ended with the Thai donuts and they were very good.

An Excellent Experience All-Round

By runintherain |

Moon Thai provided an excellent all-round experience: great variety, flavors, and quality of food, great service, convenient parking, and a comfortable, elegant atmosphere. Amongst what was ordered at my table, I was able to try two appetizers (one Thai, one dim sum), a Thai entree, a large sushi dish, and a dessert. All were excellent and it didn't feel like the Thai or the Japanese was the star - both sides of the menu were expertly executed. While there was a mistake with one of the dishes, the response to the mistake more than made up for it: professional, courteous, and immediately looking to rectify the error. Exactly the kind of response you hope for if you encounter a problem. I am already looking forward to going back and trying more dishes - and would highly recommend you do the same!

Fresh sushi

By Canesbiggdogg |

We started with their seaweed salad and it was very good. We shared the cucumber roll, the shrimp roll and the Norwegian roll. For dessert we had the Thai donuts. Everything was good. Will definitely return

Asian food with nice ambience and good service

By lonesometraveler2014 |

We were tourists staying close to University of Miami. I took my mom to the closest Asian restaurant, which was this place, and was surprised with the value of both food and service. The parking lot was full the first time we went, as the restaurant had to share it with the Starbucks next door, but it was worth it. The menu has a good collection of both signature Thai and Japanese food, and everything we tried was delicious. The service made us feel welcomed, like we were at home. There is also a bar, but I didn't try any drink here. Would definitely do that next time.

Good spot to entertain your peeps!

By M23rdPWR |

This is a staple on my regular trips to Coral Gables. Right across from the U, it's an easy drive either to campus or to the Holiday Inn. I entertain the yearbook staffs AND my teaching/coaching staff at both Camp Wannamaka (journalism) Camp and Meet Me @ Miami Integrated Media Workshop. Wonderful service!

Great Food and fine ambiance

By Chona C |

Ambiance is very nice for a family dinner. Service was very good, as well. Aside from the delicious sushi and tempura, the Baghdad chicken was super delicious. Highly recommended. We should schedule another dinner coz I’m still dreaming about their yummy food!

Don’t go anywhere else

By LeVagabonde |

This is now my go to place for Thai food in Miami. I am somebody who knows Thai food as having lived in Thailand. I would recommend weekday lunch time bento boxes these are super outrageous combinations. They have a great combinations for lunch of Thai and Japanese food. you can get included Pad Thai which is the traditional Japanese noodles with chicken and shrimp, sashimi and sushi and miso soup and a salad and a fruit plate all for about 14 bucks. you can’t beat it and the portions are Huge Additionally the atmosphere is quite trendy with various Buddha statuettes in various styles within Wall niches, as well as a very hip looking full bar and outdoor patio seating what else do you want?

GREAT FOOD

By The |

We have been to this place a couple of times already and boy let me tell you that it has never disappoint my husband and I. The first time we went to this restaurant was before we made that trip to Fort pierce. We ordered lady in pink (red snapper with sweet and sour sauce) , bean sprout sauteed with some sauce i guess and it was not a disappointment. The fish is fried to perfection, the sauce was amazing and it definitely worth our money. Our server whom i forgot her name was very attentive and polite, trying to make us feel welcome and was very attentive to our needs especially mine. We were stuffed by the time we finished our food. So we decided to go back again for the 2nd time about 3 weeks ago and we ordered different food which was the sweet and sour shrimp for my husband, chicken fried rice and tom yum with chicken for me. Again i must say that the food was amazing!!! We found this gem after 4 years living in Miami. So today the 21st of July we went to this restaurant again as i was craving for their amazing food, and let me tell you it was amazing as always. Ordered the same food once again and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I am from Singapore and living here in Miami for the past two years has been hard for me since i always crave for the food from my country and Thai food is the closest that I can get. Can you imagine how happy I am when i found this place? Their chicken fried rice is almost close to what i have had before in Singapore. Craving solved!! Any way folks for any of you who haven't been to this place before or doesn't know about this place, please do go and check it out. I promise you that you will never be disappointed however if you do get disappointed then maybe there is something wrong with your taste bud or the chef has a bad day :).

I order the king soup supposedly

By Richard Y |

I order the king soup supposedly for three people very tiny soup. Then I tasted it and it was pure lime asked them to change the broth and they returned it the same. Then as I decide to just deal with it I found a huge piece of plastic wrap inside the soup. I'm thinking it's seaweed or something and placed it in my mouth and grossed me out so much i had to order the check and leave lost my appetite completely. I never leave reviews but I was so disgusted to the point that had to do so.

Moon rocks!

By Business Traveller |

Moon has some of the best tasting Asian cuisine I have ever had. They have some excellent Japanese food. I would highly recommend going here. The location is small, but they pump out some great food.

A good taste. Not as good deal

By pime_an |

The taste of the food is good. The soup we order the temperature was warm no hot. The the chiken plates was 90% vegetable and 10% chiken. I will recomend you another places to spend your money

Awesome place

By reguapo |

Awesome place, love the decoration and the food is incredible good. Great variety of plates, fresh. The service is fast and good. Great place for a great dinner

Found it on tripadvisor, not dissapointed

By Ramon Armora |

Wanted to eat sushi with my wife and found this place on tripadvisor with so many good reviews. The service was excellent and the food was perfect, we ordered 2 blue moon draft beer, they brought water and sake (which I must say was delicious, best i've tried), we ordered a sampler i think, 1 california roll, 8 sushi, 6 sashimi, something like that... everything fresh, the waiter knew what he was talking about, great stuff overall!!

Love the sushi rolls

By Cynthia M |

Great time to dine with family and friends! The staff is very helpful. The dishes both thai and japanese are delicious! Try the rainbow roll.

Spicy Green Curry

By Adamsfamily123 |

I have had thai food all over the east coast including Manhattan & New Orleans. This is by far the best balance of flavors in a green curry I've ever eaten. It was so good I actually started drinking the curry liquid even after the chicken and vegetables were gone! My daughter had the calamari that was fried with panko breading with a sweet / vinegar dipping sauce that was equally as wonderful.

Ant in my soup, restaurant should have done more.

By Suraj J |

I always go to Moon when In Miami. Food was good as usual, but this time in my miso soup there was an ant. Am not the problematic one nor someone that wants to create a scene, my sever was apologetic when I called him over and asked if I wanted another one. Rest of the food was ok. But I think as a gesture, the manager should have come over to apologize or they should have given an extra discount or cooked my dessert just as a gesture. Apart from that was a good meal and good lunch value.

Excellent as always

By Canesbiggdogg |

We started with the crab Rangoon and the pad Thai appetizer. Both were really good. My son had the yellow curry with chicken and a 3 on the spicy meter and the rest of us had sushi. The food tasted great and the sushi was really fresh. Great place in west Kendall

Excellent Sushi and Thai food

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went to lunch and ordered some tuna tataki and gyoza which were very good. We had several rolls and they were all fresh and tasted great. The server was very attentive and knew the menu very well when we asked for suggestions.A definite return

Fresh Sushi, Fast Service

By NobleRogue |

We have visited Moon Thai & Japanese on SW 88th Street (Kendall Drive) several times and have never been disappointed. The sushi has always been fresh, the staff has always been pleasant, and the service has always been quick and attentive. Get there before 7:00 p.m. and enjoy Happy Hour. The atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit eclectic. There is an Asian theme but the music is typically either electronic house music or sappy love song music (think "My Endless Love" playing in the background as you're biting into California roll). However, it's not distracting enough that you can't enjoy a conversation with your guest(s). They have a full bar and televisions which are usually tuned to sports (although nearly every restaurant in Miami has a television these days) if you're interested in just having a cocktail. I would strongly recommend, if possible, to get there before 6:00 p.m. There is a fitness club in the same complex and these people tend to take up all of the parking, to include in front of the restaurant. This is a good restaurant for a business lunch, a date night, or perhaps grabbing a beer with friends. Sadly, for travelers to Miami, this restaurant is way out on the west side of town and probably not convenient to most. Moreover, there's not much out there to see so I couldn't recommend any other reason to venture that far out.

Very good food @ reasonable price

By Chona C |

Took my family for a dinner to celebrate a special occasion. Food was very good and they are priced reasonably. The service was also very good. The great advantage is that it's very close to where I live. Yes, I am going back again to bring my family for another dinner.

Dinner after a movie

By John B |

We went to this Restaurant after a movie. We went in and they seated us a group of seven right away. Then they served water with lemon all-round.Gave us menu's both Thai & Japanese .Then asked about drink orders Then the server took our orders for dinner. He was very pleasant and helpful with our selections . Our main courses arrived timely and helped serve dinner. He was attentive to refilling water where needed .He gave us ample time to enjoy our dinners.Help with leftovers for take home He then brought our checks. Thank him said good-bye and we all left happy

Sushi Rolls = Biggest Ever Had

By FHackman82 |

We visited this place based on the recommendation of another couple. Upon arrival we were promptly greater and seated. It was a bit confusing because they give you two menus and no the hostess does not explain anything to you. Took a little long for the waiter to come, but once he came the service was good. The sushi rolls were large and tasted great. These sushi rolls you have to eat in two bites, no way to easily eat the entire roll in one bite. The cost = not bad for the quality and amount of food you are getting.

A hidden gem in west kendall

By Angel P |

Moon Thai is one of my favorite places to eat. I recommend to show up hungry. Start out with a hot and sour soup which is amazing. For appetizer get the shrimp shumai dumplings steamed are too die for. Last, the guest of honor their legendary chicken and shrimp pad Thai. I dream during the week when will be my next visit to moon Thai. They also have a full bar and sushi. Friday and Saturday nights they are slammed. If you live in kendall you must try his place it won't let you down.

Great Thai Food

By Advisor4000 |

Love the Thai food here. Their spicy scale includes a "zero" option that is a true no heat flavor. "One" is mild to medium, "two" is hot by American pallettes. I would not recommend going higher than two because Thai food can get too spicy for most people. My only complaint for this restaurant is the ridiculous assortment of menus and countless pages of items. I don't know how they manage it. From a customer's point of view, this is overwhelming and makes a bad first impression.

Good all-around

By Moradilla1953 |

The food is great, with lots of items to choose from, both Japanese and Thai dishes. From sushi rolls to Thai and Japanese entrees, everything tastes great and is fresh. Portions are huge. The service also is excellent and unpretentious. They have good happy hours too. If I have one complaint it would have to be that the music coming through the intercom is way too loud. I believe that with this type restaurant, the ambience, including the music, should be more subtle. That is the only reason I gave it an overall "very good" rating vs. excellent. Other than that, it's one of our favorite restaurants to visit when we're in the mood for this type cuisine.

Great value good food

By catherinemfoster |

A real find in Miami. Good food for a super price with charming staff. We got the lunch special. Way too much to finish so big portions too

Best in the Area

By Gunther E Goldberg |

Is a very good local restaurant in kendall , price ok , very good food.Try the specials , the are good food for less money.

Best Asian Restaurant

By Juan S |

Incredible food and service. We've eaten several times and order several items and they have yet to disappoint!!! The fact that they have both a Thai and Japanese menu is great and the fact that you can't go wrong either way is even better.

Fresh Sushi

By Canesbiggdogg |

We went for a late lunch. We had the eel roll and playboy roll along with the sashimi lunch special. All the food was very good. They only had 2 servers so it took a little while to get it.

Great experience for the price.

By flyby866 |

The food is consistently good, as is the service, and the management genuinely cares what the customers think of their dining experience. The atmosphere is contemporary and energetic but not over the top. For the price it's one of my top three favorite places to eat in the area. Great job, Natalie, Paola and Briyana!

Best of the best Thai in Miami west Kendall!

By Angelrose1327 |

Excellent in every way, food quality, freshness, service, atmosphere, ambience. The only problem with moon you can't have enough of it, so be warn for the best sushi, Thai in the south Miami-west Kendall area!

Padthai <3

By Julie D |

Yummy food nice clean restaurant and great to go portions. Sushi is great I love the chicken pad thai! And the litchi Martinis! Great to go with friends or on dates.

8.6/10 Thai ꉓ Japanese

By Phoenix F |

The Thai food was excellent just like good ol ChiangMai, but the Japanese food tasted a little bit minutes to hours old. Come here for the Thai food, it's worth your money.

Fresh and Delicious

By Luvmymini |

Located across from the University of Miami, Moon is a gathering place for the college kids and locals. Their Thai food is very good, actually the best in the area. Sushi is fresh and there are new menu items that are creative and delicious. We tried the monkey balls on our last visit, spicy tuna stuffed in a mushroom that are fried and very good. This is a great place to visit. Also there is a Stir Moon on the corner that is a noodle bar, I notice it's usually full of Asian students, many regulars. They have the best fried chicken appetizer and Pho soups. So when you're in the mood for Vietnamese go to Stir Moon and for decent Japanese and great Thai go to Moon Thai. Sometimes parking is difficult but there is a middle school across the street and we park by the school on the street or under the trees outside the fence.

Bad sushi!

By Santi C |

After going to this place in Kendall Drive, every Saturday for lunch, ordering take out delivery at least once a month, today for lunch they show me no consideration as customer. I ordered sushi , the white fish tasted very bad it was bad! The avocado in the California roll was black, rotten! The manager offered me not a a single dollar for discount! Needless to say I told them I will never go to that place again! Goodbye Moon!

My go to Thai restaurant

By Cory H |

Everyone in my family enjoys Moon (Kendall location). Its very clean and visually appealing. There is thai and japenese fair to choose from, so there is plenty to choose from. Everyone enjoys when we visit

For Thai and Japanese food this is the place to go

By DonaLevine |

I went there for lunch today. Lunch specials come with miso soup and salad. The portions are large for lunch. I had the Pad Thai which was excellent. I would go there more often if it was closer to my home, who am I kidding -- I'll go there no matter where I am

Great delicious food!

By Dabedrabbom |

Just order anything on the menu....its all great!!! Wow! Its a must! Its always full! I can highly recommend this place!

Just wish you as a MANAGER would know..

By Isabella D |

I went with my sister to have dinner and restaurant had maybe 4 tables. we sat down and had a trainer of a server that was nothing but awesome and sweet. unfortunately the manager or anyone was watching all his moves so as he though he was doing his job he puts our order in but later does he realize its been over 50 minutes and not even our appetizer had come out . this is when the manager notice that the order was not in and in no time did the manager care to even say anything or apologize for the miss management of the place. so not only do I have my child screaming no because he has nothing to eat for an hour the manager in no time of the visit care to even ask or comp anything just dropped of food and said sorry and grabbed spicy mayo.. really !!! how would you feel as a manager going to a restaurant with 2 kids who have been waiting for food for over an hour and not even come to you table and acknowledge anything?? as a manager when you see a table empty for over 30 minutes you should be on top of you waiters and cooks to see why isn't there anything on that table. At this point the server did his job just he doesn't have a manager to be on top of his job to realize his tables are not being monitor right or had someone shadow that waiter being it was his first day on the floor. POOR MANAGEMENT

Excellent food and service!!!

By M J |

Place is new, very clean, staff is very pleasant, and most importanly., the food is real good....

Pad thai and Curry best in town

By Labne |

Every time i come down i just have to go there. I highly recommend the yellow curry with white rice and the chicken pad thai. The service is really good and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Go to Sushi and Thai in West Kendall

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went to dinner with my wife and son. We started with the crab wonton and it was great. For dinner my son had the yellow curry with chicken level 4 hot and he loved it. My wife and I shared a cucumber roll along with sea of love roll and a shrimp tempura roll. All the food was fresh and the service was on point.

Huge menu, delicious food

By Jill B |

My husband and i frequently visit Moon Thai because its really good and there are plenty of options. They have both a thai menu and a japanese menu and both are much bigger than the menu you get at a typical restaurant. We really enjoy the sushi, seaweed salad, and pad thai. They have many delicious appetizers and the dinner portions are huge and easy to share. The cocktails are also delicious. The drinks are a little pricey but their happy hour lasts late so make use of it. This location never seems to be crowded so there is no wait and plenty of parking.

What happened

By Luis H |

Got there the place was nice ordered the vegetable soup and my girl ordered the miso soup .... Was pretty good ..... Ordered the peanut sauce chicken from the Thai menu and my girl ordered the teriyaki chicken from the Japanese menu .......I got a lettuce cut in half with frozen chicken cut into strips with some type of peanut sauce ..... It was old cold dry and hard....something you find in the back of the freezer that you forgot to throw out ..... The first time I ever had to return food it was totally inedible .... I don't know what happened ..... At least the teriyaki chicken was kinda edible but again frozen chicken cut into strips with teriyaki sauce drizzled on it ..... Started good ended horribly ...at least they apologized and took back my plate and didn't charge me for it

Great food selection, friendly staff

I was at their newest location (close to South Beach) so the restaurant was not busy when we were there. The staff was very friendly, food was good, and, priced right.

Delicious!

Went here for lunch as this place had such good reviews and spot on! Decor is gorgeous, staff friendly courteous, service was fast and very helpful and the food was a delight with every bite. I'm going back soon!

Japanese VS Thai Both Good

By FancyCatsTravel |

Went these several times for special occations and the food is AMAZING really well prepaired and very tasty, the service is good depending on day and time and it is a bit pricy so be prepaired. Again, the food is great I have had both the Thai and Japanese and I prefer the Thai but that is my personal taste. I do recommend eating there, you will enjoy it.

Dinner

We went Moon because we have been there many times and know exactly how good their food is; however, we were terribly disappointed in our experience. We had a new server and he was nothing but nice, so our experience had nothing to do with him and please keep this in mind as you read this review...it had to do with his manager. There was no team lead server helping him and it took 40 mins just for him to put our order in and we waited for our appetizers for 45 mins. To top it off we had 2 kids with us and needless to say they were starving. Kid food should always be the first thing out. What was more frustrating is that the manager never bothered to come to our table until he helped deliver food and all he did was say a "sorry it took so long". The least could've done was offered a free dessert or comp something. Beware if you notice that the manager on duty isn't attentive to the customers when you have no food on your table for 45 mins.

I had high expectations...

Ok, I was there last night but I didn“t like it so much... Makis were regular and they serve 6 rolls not 9 like I always see in other places... dessert was like a fried dough... I won“t come back ....
