Friends and I were visiting Seattle for a special event at the Pacific Science Center. We decided to have dinner at Moon Tree. 3 of the 4 of us hadn't eaten here before. It was a Friday night about 6:30 and we lucked out in finding parking right across the street and only had to wait about 10 minutes for space to allow us to be seated. We sat at the sushi bar and we ordered and our food was made promptly. I ordered brussel sprouts, one of my friends ordered the green beans and we shared the vegetables between the both of us. Both veggies were excellent. I also ordered tuna and salmon nigiri (2 pieces eat), spicy tuna roll and the fancy Seattle roll. All were delicious. My friends and I all enjoyed our meals and then left for our event. Thanks for a great meal!

Good food. Good service. However, it was a game night and the place was extremely loud. We could not hear our wait person and could not have a conversation with each other. The weather was also very cold and the restaurant has no foyer. Every time the door opened, the frigid air blew in and made dinner more uncomfortable. We might try again but on a warm, quiet night.

The best sushi place in the area! The food is amazing, the staff and service are great. We try to come here every time we are in the area.

Some of the best sushi my husband and I have ever had. The staff and service are great. Reservations for dinner recommended. We will be back!

Lunch at Moon Tree was excellent! Each of us tried a different option and we all loved our food. The seared scallops, the lunch bento box with sushi and sashimi, sushi rolls and vegetable tempura were all delicious! The staff was so incredibly friendly and the fish super fresh. Highly recommend the Fire Dragon Roll! Crispy shrimp, crunchy peppers, just the right spice, delicious tuna, and perfectly cooked sushi rice. So good!

It was pretty good, average food and service, the atmosphere was okay to. Yes we would go back, but not in any sort of rush to.

We decided to visit based on ratings and wanted to get some good sushi in the city near the space needle. We had a reservation for 6pm but got done early. They had no problem accommodating us. We ordered a few rolls of Sushi based on the recommendation of our server. The Seattle roll was our favorite. Sashimi was great also, the tuna seemed a bit cold but rather be safe than sorry. Then beef appetizer was amazing. Complex flavors and very good presentation. Our food was brought out quickly. We had the mochi sampler for dessert and wow, so good. This is some of the best sushi and service that we’ve had. Definitely give it a shot if you are in the area!!

Friendly. Great place to grab a quick bite during their happy hour. Wish we were in a position to have stayed for a longer meal. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Worth the short walk from downtown attractions.

I screwed up our reservations at another sushi place so, determined to have sushi I turned to Yelp to find something decent. It's close to the Space Needle so we walked over. I was a bit concerned when we walked in to find we were the only customers. Considering we were the only people there, the service was outstanding. We started with the spicy tuna roll while we decided what else we wanted. Tuna was fresh and appropriately spicy. Going forward we had the Fire Dragon Roll which lives up to its name. The chopped jalapeno gave it a double kick. Finally we had the beef rolls in ponzu sauce. Tender, sliced beef wrapped over crispy asparagus spears and scallions. Exceptionally good. Overall, a very good experience!

Came in on a Saturday night with my three children (12, 12, 9). My kids love sushi and Japanese cuisine in general. We arrived around 6:30- wasn’t too crowded. Saturday evening. They accommodated us nicely and while there were no other children they welcomed my children there nicely. We had yellowtail sashimi, the chicken skewers, some nigiri, edamame, rolls, and something else I can’t remember. I found the food good, the service good, and the atmosphere to be nice (it’s not a very big place). I would recommend this and would definitely go back if I ever am in that area of Seattle again.

Outstanding Sashimi samplers, so fresh and almost buttery and melting against my tongue . Prompt and very courteous service. Asari miso soup with clams is a good value. But chicken karage is disappointing soft tender but little taste. Definitely would come back and try the Omasake next time

This is my new favorite neighborhood spot. The pricing is a little bit on the pricy side, but I think it’s well worth it. Don’t limit yourself to just the sushi (even though that’s amazing as well). The tapas are really good and probably my favorite part of the meal.

Awesome sushi, great service. Try Las Vegas and lobster rolls. Very friendly waiters. Best we tried in Seattle. Highly recommended

We stumbled into this restaurant within a few days of their opening. It was lunch and we were the only ones there. I ordered a shrimp tempura and agedashi tofu. Both were perfectly flavored. We will be going back. Nice people and great food. A great addition to Lower Queen Anne.

I stopped in for quick lunch. Great miso with generous amount of enoki mushrooms and Manila clams(!)—try it. Salmon sushi was simple but well prepared. Interesting roll called Lollipop. Definitely coming back

This is a gem of a restaurant and will not disappoint. MoonTree is not a typical sushi restaurant. The Japanese tapas are, in my mind, the speciality of the house. The chef does amazing things with his many sauces. Loved the green bean, cauliflower, Asian rib and chicken skewer tapas. My son loved his sushi roll and crab roll. The beet salad was wonderful. The chef was most accommodating and though fries are not on the menu he whipped up a yummy dish with a Japanese type sweet potato for my 5 year old granddaughter. Staff are very attentive and helpful. I loved this restaurant when it was by the water in Everett Washington. But sadly it moved to Seattle. However, it works quite nicely in the Queen Anne district.

We were in downtown Seattle so decided to try out Moon Tree. Terrific sushi as well as other cooked Japanese dishes. Highly recommend!
One night in Seattle
Great meal at Moontree. Baked crab roll was delicious and unique. Seattle Roll and sashimi were delicious. Server was helpful and fun. We were coming off a 2 week Alaska cruise and had one night to unwind before heading back to reality. If we get back to Seattle, we will return to Moontree,
